i love your shadowhunters horror story video it reminds me of when it came out like when season 3 started and they’d got more budget to make things a little more fucked up fx wise and i was absolutely terrified it briefly it was a horror show to my 16 year old mind. it’s been so long i miss shadowhunters :(

yeah, there was already a huge jump in quality in s2, but from 2b onwards they ramped up the horror elements and i loved it, but i was already in my early twenties so i get that it was a bit much for a teen (although i watched american horror story at 16 so idk what that says about me lol). i miss it too, it was such a special time and tbh gave me something great during the worst time of my mental health and gave me some special friends, so i will always have a big soft spot for shadowhunters

okay wow this chapter is...clearly somthing else its like taking a roller coaster down angst hell everytime you think you can make it angst literally knock you down and burn you to a crisp (which is what i suspect alec may become lkdsgjkj) and you totally deliver on asshole!magnus i mean he done it all property destruction, emotional destruction, speeding, drinking, threatening (tho sebasbitch totally deserve that). and i really like how you deal with magnus emotion in this chapter cause i think in canon hes probably be the one to hide his pain the most so other see him as *unbothered* and *graceful* or whatever. pain should not be kind or graceful. its one devastating, ugly, destructive mess and we should be allowed to deal with that in our way.

and alec jumping straight into a burning building because he has an idotic, almost punishing self-sacrificial tendency and he wants magnus to be happy is soo. just so in character. but i may wack him in the head for it cause like babe, if you literally burned like sebastian era shadowhunter 2b then nobody would be happy. magnus will literally use an ouija board to summon and yell at you. what are you thinking

anyway incredible chapter. i know this is unlikely to happen but that ceiling falling moment in the end reminds me of k-drama memory loss shenanigans lmaooo.

This chapter was hard to write. Especially because Magnus’s emotions were so complicated. And yes, I agree that canon Magnus would deal with shit in a very diff way. But this isn’t some warlock, this was just a 27 year old dude dealing with shit. I didn’t want the assjole Magnus arc to be just for the sake of it. It had to mean smth. I’m glad I was able to deliver on that.

Also, Alec is a fucking idiot but he’s out idiot so. I did say that it would be an idiotic thing but would still be very Alec thing to do.

Okay so what if…

Maryse’s brother came to her after having heard that Alec was dating a Downwolder. He wanted to help her understand that love is love. I mean, against everything he has married a mundane woman. But he doesn’t know that it’s a guy who is also a Downworlder. So when Maryse tells him this he is like “So what? He loves and is loved, that’s what matters the most. I can’t say it about your husband, though.” And this is a breaking point for Maryse. She has finally realized that this is true. That her marriage is a lost cause and she should fight for her happiness like her brother and son did. Beceause her son is a happy man, and that’s what should matter to her the most. So when she heard that Alec has been appointed the new Head of NY Institute she decided to create a new life for herself. To end things with Robert and make it up to everyone that she has hurt in the past.

So she created a list of those people. Of course her children and their friends are high on that list. But she surprises herself when she automatically wrote the name of Lucian Greymark on this list too. So right after she made up with her children she went straight torwards him. But when he ignored her slightly, she feelt upset. She didn’t even know why. But it just upset her for some reason. But Luke, right after he’d got freed from prison, went to her, beceause deep down he knew how important this could be for her. And they apologize to each other. And that’s it. Maryse can finally start her new life. She sent a fire messege to her brother about everything that happened to thank him for his help and asked him if he was free in the next week so she and her children could meet his wife. And he just smiled, agreeing to the meeting and beeing happy he could help his sister.
