Jace in COB, where instead of Clary being able to take the cup out of the card it’s actually the reader, and when Valentine tries to hurt her or threaten her to get her to give him the cup Jace just gets super protective,
And/or
Reader and Jace are already in a relationship; Valentine needs Jace to do something for him, Jace refuses. Valentine responds by threatening to hurt the reader if Jace doesn’t do what Valentine wants him to, and Jace loses it, grabbing every weapon he can find trying to get his ‘father’ away from the reader while Valentine is just taunting him.
I know they’re kind of strange asks, I’m sorry. Your writing is wonderful!

Jace Wayland Being Protective
headcanons
summary: what it’s like when jace wayland is protective over you
pairing: jace wayland x reader
warnings: mentions of canon typical violence
note: jace wayland the loml this isn’t going to do well because i’m pretty sure the mortal instruments fandom is dead but i hope you love this !!
Jace is already extremely protective over you on a normal day.
He knows that you can take care of yourself for the most part, but protecting people is quite literally his job.
When Valentine is around, Jace’s protectiveness goes up like six notches. He’s always by your side, making sure you stay a safe distance away from any conflict that may be arising.
When Valentine grabs you, threatening your life if Clary didn’t hand over the cup, Jace loses his mind. He has to be physically restrained from attacking Valentine.
Jace isn’t one to show emotion very often, instead choosing to bottle his feelings. However, when your life is on the line, he can’t help but get visibly frustrated and angry.
Jace grabs any weapon he can, shouting threats at Valentine and practically begging him to let you go.
When you’re finally a safe enough distance away from Valentine, Jace loses it. He almost kills Valentine before he escapes.
Jace is incredibly protective of you. He’ll kill anyone who ever threatens your life.
No matter how strong and capable you may be, Jace always pushes you behind him when you’re around any visible danger. He would never forgive himself if he let you get hurt.
While he may not always express it, Jace loves you so much and would quite literally die before he let anything bad happen to you.

do you know what hurts? that jace completely shut down in shock when Valentine told him clary is his sister because he finally found someone that made him feel like he belonged and Valentine just took that and crushed it. that boy finally let someone in and was ready to let HER in just to find out that she is his sister that he didn’t even know existed like just think how traumatising it must’ve been.

HEY SHADOWHUNTER NERD. YEAH, YOU.
Calling all (book) shadowhunter fans! (Yeah, I don't respect you TV show people /j)
I would like to know your theories on The Wicked Powers titles!
The Last King of Faerie
The Last Prince of Hell
The Last Shadowhunter
I genuinely don't think they are literal, especially with the "last shadowhunter." Throughout the books, from City of Glass on primarily, there has been an attempt to reunite the downworlders and nephilim. Clary and her runes, the council, and treating with more respect (until post Dark War with the faeries).
But now, for the last series, they need to join together to fight against their enemies. Possible villains being (maybe again) Lilith, other princes of hell, and the Seelie Queen. My guess is that the race of shadowhunters won't just be for mundanes and those with Raziel's blood. A shadowhunter can be anyone, including a werewolf or warlock. We've seen Clary's runes work on downworlders, so why can't more?
There can't be a divide between the races forever because it's clearly harsh government/police (shadowhunters being the opressors) v the people (downworlders). They need to blur the lines between them more to become a new shadowhunter. Hence, the last shadowhunter, which maybe this new protector group will get a new shorter name.
Thoughts?

The same rules as the last poll apply. This has nothing to do with sexual intimacy or no. of romantic scenes. Which couples worked best together and had a natural understanding of one another.

Never forget that Jace was willing to kidnap Clary in CoB and drag her to the Institute not because he thought she was a real threat for them but because the boy had a major crush on her already
City of Bones
City of Glass
“He kept talking about you all the way back to the Institute; he made Hodge send him out to get you; and once he brought you back, he didn't want you to leave again.”

The poll games are back!
My first choice would be Jace because he LITERALLY stated a LOT of times during TMI that he felt murderous angry when he felt jealous of Simon or Sebastard over Clary, and he was ready to punch Jordan in the face when he said Clary was cute 😂 He even got mad in CoB when Clary was looking at Alec too much 😂😂😭💀
BUT Clary's got a SHORT temper and there's that scene in CoLS where she has this feelings of possessiveness when people is staring at Jace too much 😂😭
Idk what do you all think? 👀
But kids let's never forget that this is just a joke and toxic jealousy is never okay in real life relationships. Stay safe ♥️
