Seventeen headcanon: Seventeen as mall workers

a/n: I’ve always lowkey wanted to do some sort of mall series but never actually had a solid plot so we gonna just do this instead. and Pentagon will be mentioned bc I wanna do one for them and I want them all to work in the same mall and no one can stop me 😤

Choi Seungcheol

currently works at GameStop

he quit his job at GNC a few months ago because he decided he hates working out

while he hates having to restock things or go into the back for stuff, he at least likes video games

definitely not the dude you want to end up yelling at on the phone

there have been so many times he’s had to give the phone off to Wonwoo or another co-worker because he would definitely lose his job

too high of a temper to work at GameStop tbh

but he knows what he’s talking about, so

has definitely recommended you games even before he worked in there

you’d just happen to be in there when he was and he’d notice you looking between two games and he’d tell you which one was better suited for you after asking what you normally play/what you like

now that he works there, he always puts in his two cents and will give you his discount on top of your own

Yoon Jeonghan

the current manager at Starbucks

he used to be the manager at American Eagle but he hated working there because retail sucks

unfortunately, the only other job he could snag was in -- you guessed it -- still retail

but at least he gets yelled at slightly less in Starbucks

and it’s probably only because he makes everyone else do things for him so he doesn’t have to

will take his sweet ass time making a drink

refuses to work the register

would rather stay off toward the back and make the drinks than deal with the people

always says he’s too busy to do things because he’s still training Yanan even though Yanan’s worked there longer than Jeonghan has

he’s also slightly salty at Yanan because he might be the better looking barista

one time he asked you if him or Yanan was cuter and you said him so he gave you your drink for free

refers to you as his “favorite customer”

Joshua Hong

works at Guitar Center

between him, Jihoon, and Jinho, he probably knows the least about instruments

pretty much only knows guitar things

but all he does is sit at the counter and play the guitar and sing

you are literally the only person who likes hearing him sing Sunday Morning

Jihoon told him to stop before he smashed the guitar over his head but you were in the store to kill time before your break ended and you said you were enjoying it

so Josh smirked and continued while Jihoon rolled his eyes

“’customer’s always right’ my ass...”

whenever you come in or he sees you walk by he’ll be like “got any requests?”

has offered to give you guitar lessons but you're always busy with work so you say “maybe another time”

but he continues to ask

Wen Junhui

works at the pet store downstairs

there hasn’t been a single time you’ve gone in there or walked past there and he wasn’t holding an animal in his arms

loves all the animals

also makes animal noises at the animals but it’s weird because he actually sounds like the animals

notices you come in to play with the animals during your break so now he always tries to get you to bring one home

“it’s not for the business, I just want them to find homes”

once got yelled at for actually getting in one of the puppy pens to play with them

Kwon Soonyoung

currently works at Hot Topic

the only reason being that store could not give less of a hell what goes on

he’s been fired from literally every other place at the mall

got fired from Starbucks for drinking too much coffee and shaking so badly all the time that he would spill drinks

fired from Build-A-Bear for exploding a bear with stuffing and making a child cry

fired from Bath & Body Works for dropping candles and spraying perfume in a customer’s mouth on accident

dropped and broke a guitar at Guitar Center

basically his last hope was Hot Topic but if Wooseok can work there and do absolutely nothing, Soonyoung was safe working there

he does attempt to do his job, it’s just that when it comes to basically existing, he’s bad at it

knocks things over, trips on things, is the loudest thing in the store

but he’s friendly and he does his job so who can complain

Jeon Wonwoo

the manager at GameStop

the youngest one working there but he’s in charge

usually the one to deal with the shitty customers but Wonwoo is thankfully good at containing his anger

well, at least until he hangs up the phone or the person is gone

goes in the back to yell about it to whoever is back there, even if they’re listening or not

Shinwon and Seungcheol give him a hard time for being the manager and always laugh and go “glad we’re not you!”

but he does love his job because he gets to work with video games

lowkey not very good with the girls who ask him for help though

gets blushy and can’t look them in the eyes

actually he’s really shy with people in general so tbh he’s always somewhat flustered

but he’s always feels happy when he helps someone find a new game or something so he likes his job

he’s usually the one who checks you out at the register and he’s the one who signed you up for a rewards card because you were in there so often

you don’t know this but before the rewards card, he would just give you his discount because you were literally always getting games or stuffed animals or pop figures from there

Lee Jihoon

the manager at Guitar Center

again, the youngest at his store, but the one in charge

his assistant manager, Jinho is slightly angry about it

but Jihoon knows everything about everything

any instrument you need fixed or need info on, he’s your guy

he comes off as very serious and not too friendly, but if you make him crack a smile, he suddenly seems super approachable

if he sees you having lunch at the food court when he’s on his break, he joins you sometimes

“you don’t give me a headache”

you assume that’s a compliment

some customers don’t take him seriously because they’re rude and assume he’s “a child”

but of course he schools their asses in his knowledge of instruments, so

sometimes his work is so satisfying lmao

Lee Seokmin

works at Bubble Bee

between him and Kino, it’s no wonder they get a lot of business

they’re both so cute and sweet and smiley

there was a short period of time where Soonyoung worked there and tbh those two were a mess

suddenly they only shared one braincell and poor Kino was stuck cleaning up their messes

but Seokmin and Kino work well together

not to mention Seok looks really adorable in the uniforms

always makes really good bubble tea

likes when the straw color matches the color of the drink though

you’ve never spoken to him much but he’s always smiling and cracking jokes and tbh you’re soft for him

Kim Mingyu

he was hired at GNC like, a month ago

he used to work at Starbucks but he got fired

because even though he made good coffee, the poor big idiot is clumsy as hell and kept spilling things and dropping things and knocking things over

Hongseok and Matthew knew him sorta so Matthew decided to hire him

he doesn’t really know what he’s doing but it’s fine

Hongseok’s training him while Matthew does most of the work since he’s manager

people started calling them the Big Tiddy Committee which you think is kinda funny

he’s usually in there when you go in to hang out with Hongseok and he’s really sweet

a lil dumb, but sweet

Xu Minghao

works at Lush

he originally planned to work at Sephora because he’s good with like, fashion and stuff

but he didn’t feel like dealing with that and Lush seemed less...annoying

he does seem kinda quiet and a little cold at first because he doesn’t really smile a whole lot except when politely greeting someone

but it’s easy to make him laugh

and he has a cute laugh and a really pretty smile

so when you first went in there to get a bath bomb and he asked if you needed help, you were really tempted to just say you were just looking

but you let him help and you got to talking and Minghao was really sweet

sometimes he has lunch with you, too because you just like talking to him

you found out he’s friends with Jun from the pet store and Yanan from Starbucks

it seems like a weird group of friends but hey, you also thought Minghao was a lot colder than he turned out to be

he always texts you when your favorite items are in stock and he may or may not use his discount and set them aside for you to pick up

“cash app me later it’s fine”

Boo Seungkwan

works at Sephora

he really wants to do makeovers but he’s not allowed to lmao

mostly just works the register and like lowkey judges everyone’s makeup

he will hype the hell out of you if he thinks you did something well

“your eyeliner is insanely sharp, oh my god”

“your eye shadow is beautiful!”

“that lipstick color looks so good with your skin tone”

has no frickin idea what to do with his discount because he doesn’t wear makeup

you once went in there and asked him for help and he just blinked at you and went “okay, let me find someone who knows what they’re doing”

at least he’s honest

Chwe Hansol

works at FYE

makes playlists to play at work in the store

literally just always vibing

the chillest worker in the entire mall tbh

one time he helped his manager, Hui make you a mixtape because you were looking for new music

so then he got interested and started talking to you as well about music

at this point, you’re going to befriend the whole store

looks like he doesn’t do much because he’s usually sitting at the counter and vibing

but he loves helping out customers and picking out music for them or fining things for them

he just loves to help out and talk about music

Lee Chan

works at American Eagle

when you see him in those jeans, you get it

he’s like a walking billboard because damn he looks r e a l n i c e

usually working the sales floor so folding and getting things from the back if someone can’t find a size

doesn’t work the register too often

so whenever you go in, he’s usually who greets you at the door with his beautiful smile

honestly he just looks like he should be working at that kind of store y’know? he fits

he doesn’t mind the job even though Jeonghan couldn’t stand it

despite that, he still is human and understand that shit is expensive

and since he recognizes you as a fellow mall worker, he sometimes goes up to the store you work at and let’s you know when they’re having special sales and stuff

Alpha!Wonwoo and Omega!Jun

Even tho Jun is my bias I still could not help myself to unthink these. Please skip this if u are not a fan of omegaverse

The whole group mixed with alpha beta and omega. This au is the same as the Alpha Jeonghan x Omega Joshua and Alpha Vernon x Omega Seungkwan that i have given some thought before

Omega Jun is not sensitive of his and others pheromones due to his pure nature. Also he is late bloomer.

Wonwoo knows Jun is his special significant other by destiny when they first met.

Everyone in the group dotes on Jun. But no one go overboard. (Alpha wonwoo is scary dun mess with him lol)

Wonwoo possible quote : Jun is my bride but he doesn't know it.

Junhui this boy really I tell you. He does not have a single clue in his gender and Wonwoo's feelings. He only thinks Wonwoo treats him special because Jun is Wonwoo' s beloved favorite hyung.

Jun thought he was a beta for quite some time until he really gets his first heat.

Tried to ask for the others for help. Wonwoo is thrilled be like I KNEW IT.

Them being roommate slowly bring their relationship nearer. (No one dares cos again dont mess with Alpha Wonwoo) Of course both being lover of games is a fuel that drives them closer. But Wonwoo starts to desire more. Wonwoo misses Jun a lot when he was back in China with Minghao.

Of course Wonwoo checks the show. Even sometimes send messages (Or directly comforts Jun when he sees Jun experiencing pressure)

Wonwoo even though scary. He tried to keep his jealousy inside, categorizing it as the animal instinct of Alpha. And he does not want to use that to hurt Jun. Not when the feeling was not mutual.)

But Jun slowly start to feel something. He knows that the feeling he was alone with Wonwoo is different compared to how he feels when he hang around with his members.

I wanna have Wonwoo lost it but gain back control and hurts himself so that he does not hurt Jun.

This happened when Jun encountered Wonwoo in heat. And Jun who was not that sensitive to pheromones, for the first time exposed to his fated alpha pheromones.

Jun couldn't stand due to the overwhelming aura and he was shocked that his body started to react.

Nearly shit happens but Wonwoo regain control and chased Jun out. Joshua and Jeonghan helped with the mess.

They slowly explains. Of course not brainwashing Jun to love Wonwoo because they are a fated pair. Just plainly explains how fated pair works.

Jun understands. But Wonwoo is now scared that he will hurt Jun. Because fated pair unlike normal, cannot be broken off.

Insert alot of attempt of this two try to get things right. (Yes they are quite close and touchy as friends but now is awkward because pov is different now)

Hmm Wonwoo will brand Jun in non sexual way maybe a kiss on the neck so that others won't come near. To protect Jun from harm. But,

Jump to the time where the alpha fully branding omega. Wonwoo : "must be gentle" but ends up slightly rough

Jun is clueless but is not stupid. He still knows what is happening.

JUN UNCONSCIOUSLY CALLING OUT WONWOO'S NAME IN CHINESE DURING SMUT MOMENTS IS MY DEFINITE HEADCANON (Every one this is headcanon is my purpose of writing this whole post)

FLOWER

(Part 1)

So i am retconning my JeonghanxJoshua omegaverse. Dont worry the setting is still the same just some setting and plot different

• On my Omegaverse. They only get to know their 2nd gender on their 18 birthday. But also will have late bloomer (like Jihoon seen in MingyuxJihoon )

• They were close ever since they met. Jeonghan was the one approached first and being really nice with Jisoo

• Occasionally teasing Jisoo by teaching him weird Korean making other people laughs at him (of course Jeonghan will properly apologise)

• The reason is also because Jeonghan likes it when Jisoo just innocently listens to him. Even though Hansol also teaches Jisoo Korean as well.

• Jisoo, after a while he got fond of Jeonghan, looks up at him actually. Jisoo appreciated Jeonghan's enthusiasms and effort to practise and sing. While Jeonghan dotes on Jisoo and proud of Jisoo being multilingual.

• Them being fond with each other, hugs, back hugs, hair ruffles, gazes. Of course is just Jeonghan being affectionate and Jisoo accepted it because he was brought up at western so he could tolerate it better.

• Jisoo would just follow Jeonghan anywhere lol. They find it funny too because its always happens naturally.

• Jisoo looks up at Jeonghan and Seungcheol even more when they find out they are Alphas.

• Jisoo being the 3rd hyung also hope that he could alpha so that it will stable the team even more.

• Male omega in this au is not that rare actually. People are already accepting and dropping weird stereotypes. So omega can work properly as well because of new type of meds. But only heat period is just something cannot be undone.

• Due to the culture history, there are still some stereotype of AlphaxAlpha, even though in this universe, people don't really care much. (Unless u are from upper class or royalty. Or you being a traditional minded person.)

• So times comes where doctor comes to check when Jisoo fully becomes 18 years old.

• Jisoo is nervous, Seungcheol and Jeonghan are close during blood test

• But during consultation, its a private time so Seungcheol and Jeonghan did not get to join in.

• This is when doctor revealed to Jisoo that he is an Omega.

• When Jisoo knew the news he froze.

• For some reasons, he felt devastated and ashamed. He felt he does not deserve to stand beside his team mate, even Jeonghan.

• Jisoo was the first omega to get known to his results. Thats why he got panicked. He is afraid if he will drag down the team quality.

• He felt he was different from them. And the emotions grows extremely in short term.

• With weird sense of stubbornness, he was determined to not let the others, not even Jeonghan to know about his gender.

• He lied to members and researched. He even went to get medicine without telling members. His family supported him from behind. The medicne is legal and it helps to suppress to not give off omega scent

• But

• Actually Vernon caught him went out at night. Vernon just wanna have some snacks from fridge and end up seeing Jisoo returning from outside with the meds.

• Jisoo lied that he felt feverish so he went to get some vitamins and antibiotic

• Vernon be like oh ok cool.

• Condition is bearable so Jisoo hope to keep it a secret as long as he could.

• BUT What hit Jisoo was when svt members gathered and talk about gender preferences for love interest

• (to be meta i mean kids/human does make mistake, and mind you i am not writing this to lowkey racist/sexist, they talked about it because they just pure curious but then they stopped doing it ever since because they noticed the topic is sensitive and offensive)

• Jeonghan when the kids asked hin about his partner preferences : well i will be grateful if my partner is an Alpha too...

• Jisoo who is sitting other side strumming his guitar eventually heard it and was flushed with unknown emotions. He just quietly puts down the guitar and leaves.

• Jeonghan noticed Jisoo's emotion aura change as he sees him leaving.

• But Jeonghan did not finished his words actually and Jisoo did not get to hear it.

• Jeonghan, S.coups and Vernon also was the ones to suggest they should not be talking about gender preferences anymore and the boys agreed (because they are a jumble of alphas betas and omegas)

• The other 2 of 95line come together and tried to express apology to Jisoo. (Lol they did not know what was the real reason)

• They thought is because of Jisoo's Western upbringing he is more sensitive about this because it might sounds offensive to foreigners.

• Jisoo would just say he is fine, because they are all curious on stuffs like this so he does not fully blame them for having the conversation. Jisoo thanked them for being considerate.

• But from then on, Jisoo distanced himself from Jeonghan which Jeonghan felt really weird.

• Jun probably : Jeonghan hyung why is Jisoo hyung avoiding you like he'd saw a ghost?

• Jeonghan awkwardly laughs

• Seungcheol : must have been you playing a weird prank on him

• Cues in Jeonghan slapping Seungcheol on his shoulders.

• Mingyu probably : but Jisoo hyung was acting weird ever since his birthday right?

• Jun : I do see Jisoo hyung tends to stick with Vernon though

• Jeonghan : You are quite right tho.

• Detective Jeonghan starts to think and observe. He can wait for answers but it must be from Jisoo himself

• Vernon probably : Josh hyung, why is Jeonghan hyung looking at us like that?

• Jisoo : Don't mind him.

• Cues in Jun who secretly asks Jisoo and check out if he is ok.

• Cues in Jun worried look in his big big eyes

• Jun : Hyung, was the gender test that scary?

• Jisoo then realises his action recently might have projected insecurities so he just smiles at Jun. Stating the gender test is fine, everything is healthy.

• Jisoo : Don't worry Junnie, I am fine. I am just tired.

• Cues in Jun who just quietly hugs Jisoo.

• It lasted about a month until Jisoo finally has his first heat.

• He woke up with slight fever and his actions got slower

• It was during practise and Jisoo suddenly felt a burst of heat from his body

• He hurrily rushed out from the practise room. And ran to washroom.

• The only thing in Jisoo's mind : I have to cool this heat off

• Meanwhile, Jisoo's scent actually flooded the practise room before he ran out.

• It triggers Seungcheol, Jeonghan, Mingyu and Wonwoo ( I have established in before Mingyu and Wonwoo are early bloomers, not yet have rut before 18 but they already showing alpha traits)

• The kids who are not aware of the reasons well were scared.

• Jeonghan yelled at the others to ran out even ask them to ran back to dorm first

• Seungcheol asked Jun to go to adults and claimed that they will lock themselves in.

• But before that happen, Jeonghan rushed out before anyone realised.

• Jeonghan felt the scent is calling him and luring him to Jisoo.

• Apart from a weird heat emerging from his core, Jeonghan also heavily felt the urge to protect Jisoo at all cost. Before other alphas could find Jisoo.

• Jeonghan murmuring while following Jisoo's scent : Please be safe, Jisoo-ah

• And Jisoo now is having a cold water head shower. He buries his head under the tap and keep hoping water will calm him down. He has already taken meds but it does not seems to be effective yet

• But he could feel a scent coming near and he begged for his heat to go away

• Then he heard someone calling out his name

• Its Jeonghan panting after all the running

• Jisoo then remembered all sorts of things, how the doctor told him about outcomes of omega male in heat if some untamed alpha assaulted them.

• And he remembered he does not want Jeonghan to know his omega gender

• And Jeonghan is an alpha standing in front of him. And drawing himself closer towards oneself.

• Jisoo panicked, backed his away and tried to lock himself into toilet cubicle

• But was stopped by Jeonghan and Jeonghan grabbed Jisoo's wrist

• This is the first time Jeonghan really really exploded and shouted at Jisoo.

• Jeonghan : Ya, Hong Jisoo, what did I do to make you hate me this much? You could at least let me know it!!

• The moment Jeonghan grabbed Jisoo's wrist, he felt a weird electricity ran through his body.

• Jeonghan unaware of Jisoo is overwhelmed by new experiences, and was driven by worriness and his alpha instinct, kept on prying : Have you been stressing yourself about this since your birthday?!

• Could not cope with all the unfamilar sensations, Jisoo in tears, tried to shake off the firm grip. He could only whimpered "Please"

• Jisoo : anyone but you

• It made Jeonghan ticked

• Jeonghan : Do you hate me this much?

• Jisoo just kept quiet and shook his head. He felt the him now is disgusting and unfit to be with a SVT . Unfit being a friend to Jeonghan as well.

• Jeonghan knew they could not stay alone like this.

• He also knew if they stayed longer, and looking at Jisoo's crying face with his whimpering voice, Jeonghan will definitely lose it.

• Jeonghan pulled Jisoo up and they both are ready to run. Lucky the nurse already sensed things are off and already rushed to where the 2 boys were.

• The nurse just finished took care of the other alpha boys that locked themselves in. And Seungcheol told the nurse Jeonghan and Jisoo are still out there, so the nurse went to find them.

• Jeonghan hurriedly back off once he saw the nurse. Letting Jisoo to get attentive care first.

• After Jeonghan got his suppressant injection. He is more calmer now. He helped the nurse to get Jisoo to infirmary. And later go check up Seungcheol with the others.

• The other boys are calmer too and they are worried about Jisoo too

• After confirmed Jisoo is now safe they went home. Apologised for scaring the other kids.

• The whole team now realised its not gonna be like before anymore. There will be more omegas and even betas. They need to work things out.

• Jeonghan speculated Jisoo's off character behaviour might be due to finding out himself is an omega.

• Seungkwan: Why he did not tell us?

• Jeonghan: He is scared. And scared to ask for help. As if we will push him away if he told us.

• Seungcheol: Abandoning anyone is not an option here

• Jeonghan looks at Seungcheol in grateful eyes.

• Jeonghan : Thank you Seungcheol-ah

• Seungcheol just pats Jeonghan on his back.

• That night they decided to embrace everyone's gender and in the future, no more hiding.

Is late now so i better stop now

dog hybrid!dk being his loud self when your doing something important he just want all you love and attention

if you sat at your desk working and seokmin just kinda pulls a chair over and lays his head on your shoulder. then he begins to shift around until his head rests on your thigh, his arms going around your torso and he begins to let out these huffs because your attention isn't on him. so he moves once again, opting to block your sight to your work because then you have to give him your attention. finally, you just have to wrap your arm around him or run your fingers through his hair to settle him down for a few minutes so you can finish up before giving him your attention for a while.

Ooh, this one is fun!! Okay, so I changed a few things for flow story-wise, but it should still fit. Also I did a little more world-building off-screen than I should of but... it was fun.

Escape

Roger has been told to keep an eye on certain advisors, what he isn’t expecting is for them to be so bold with sending actual assassins while they’re in the middle of court. Dressed up in their rival nation's colors ofc. He’s able to dispatch the first assassin with ease, but gets a crossbow bolt to the shoulder. The few loyal knights rush in, but Roger’s main goal is to get Freddie out of the castle.

So he takes him through the back tunnels that Brian showed them when they were younger to sneak out. He’s not surprised to see that the warlock is already halfway to the throne room. Brian takes Freddie’s arm because of course the young prince wants to get back to his people.

They don’t know how much support they still have in the castle, Roger reminds him so they have to go.

As it turns out the crossbow bolt was poisoned. Predictably, so by the time they reach the middle of the forest, no doubt thanks to Brian’s magic because he’s looking close to passing out.

Freddie is freaking out because his two cheif protectors (brothers, companions, friends, something else?) are both vunerable, and his father never really let him learn martial skills beyond wrestling and the like. And he knows the tales of this forest and about the spirits and Fae that run the woods.

When Brian finally sucumbs to his exhaustion and Roger to the poison, Freddie is sure thsi is the end for all of them because then there’s rustling in the trees. A young(?) elf stumbles through the underbrush.

“What are you doing here? Humans are forbidden here.”

“I don’t mean any harm, we don’t. My friends, they need a healer. One is badly poisoned.”

John checks over the pair, wincing as Roger’s wound grows sickly and green. He knows helping humans is a crime, but they also charish all life, so he smears on a salve on the wound and crushes herbs into the warlock’s mouth.

Then he waits, because the humans probably won’t do anything while he’s there with his weapons.

It turns out all the humans needed was the night. Elf magic and healing is far more potent than humans (even if Bri has to hesitantly explain that he has elven blood in him and that’s why he’s so good a magic becuase he’s up much faster than any human should be even without the help).

Once Roger is up, he wants to back and shore up their support and reclaim the castle. The coup needs to be settled effectively and swiftly so that the people don’t get restless. Brian argues that they need to do everything under the radar because they might not have the majority support.

John watches this for a few hours. How the two humans (or rather human and half-human) will be at eachs other’s throats back off and resume. The other human seems content to let them bicker, but every once and awhile the two arguing ones will defer to the other. It doesn’t take him much longer to realizes that this is an Important Human techincially in charge of the two bickering ones.

Then comes the army through the forest. John feels how the woods scream in terror. He takes off, surprised to find the humans come with him. His village is being ransacked by the Human Army. He takes off to fight them, and much to his surprise the warlock is with him as well.

They fight until they get overrun and then the warlock (Brian he thinks he heard) pulls him away, saying that its too late. John reluctantly agrees, a useless death his not a heroic one. Brian takes him to somewhere in the forest that he knows well, but not many know of.

“Sorry, it was the first thing that had enough of your past presence here,” Brian shrugs.

The other two appear in a shimmery mist. John sees the waystone in Roger’s hand. It must be attuned to Brian. Which is no small feat to do.

Regroup

With John’s permission, the humans (and half-human) manage to set up a rebel base of some sort. Reaching out their allies which are much fewer than he knows they hoped for. He’s also turned it into a sort of refugee camp for those of his village and other’s affected to regather in. Which technically means its a joint army for the first time in thousands of years.

Even the humans defer to him in rank despite not being an Offical Member of the Army. He guesses its because Freddie is always with him (or within eyesight of him) and Roger seems to allow his presence when he chases others away from Freddie ( “I don’t care what they say, or how long they’ve served the crown. I’m not letting anyone I don’t know or trust near him”).

No one ever tells him explicitly but he knows it has something to do with why they ended up in the forest in the first place as Roger was poisoned and Brian knocked out to near exhaustion. Not that John has any complaints, because Roger gives the same treatment to both elves and humans which strangely enough helps builds bonds.

John is also quick to learn why Roger is Freddie’s chosen gaurd, after he soundly defeated four would be troublemakers that tried to disregard his commands. He’s impressed at the speed Roger possess, almost as quick and dexterious as an elf.

Freddie on the other hand is well liked by his followers. He’s kind and caring, while a bit entitled at times, John’s never heard of a more pleasent human. When they’re with the other commanders, Freddie always makes sure to keep everyone’s voices heard (including the elves) and doens’t have much paitent for the bickering of his commanders (even if Roger has less so).

John figures that Freddie must be similiar to their council but born into this position. Humans are far more prone to greed, but Freddie earns every man’s loyalty (and John is quickly finding that he is one of them).

Then there’s Brian. The half-human warlock. Brilliant but prone to worrying and magical mishaps. John has never seen anyone (elf or human) more intune with the ley-lines of the world. Although more than once John has found himself guarding an unconsious Brian because he exhausted himself in his quest to find the things they’ll need to reclaim Freddie’s throne.

He also has the most understanding with Brian, because while the Warlock might not know their culture completely, he does know parts of it. And usually he’s pretty good at explaining why certain threads get crossed between humans and elves in their camps.

John also just enjoys the way magic wraps around Brian and makes him warm.

About three months into this entire mess John realizes that he’s sort of fallen in love with them. In elven culture, more than one lover is accepted irregardless of gender, sometimes it’s even encouraged because of low-birthrates. Humans aren’t like that, he’s found. Especially when he’s heard stories of soldiers wives making homes with those left behind.

He would like to draw away, but the three won’t let him. Everytime John wants to go on a scouting brigade, Roger will join him (ultimately leaving Freddie with Brian or bringing the prince along). John tries to organize things on the elven side, Freddie is next to him, trying to figure out ways to make their rations and supplies last longer (wait, you use the rine of the fruit? We don’t eat it, so let’s set up a collection place!). Brian, just seems to know where he is (not that it’s hard John, you’ve got a pretty specific energy).

What Brian fails to tell him, that he has to learn from one of their own Spell-weavers is that he has a specific energy that matches the others. Not that Brian knows the significgance, until said spell-weaver explains it to him. (John somewhat enjoys how humans do have boundries of things others can tell someone else).

Brian naturally tells Freddie and Roger. John has to sit through a very awkward confession (because they hadn’t really thought about why they all fit together, but yeah kissing and courting each other sounds very nice). So now that they’re all on the same page of romantic love. John couldn’t be happier.

They still have a castle to seige, and that might not go well. John tries to ignore that.

Conclusion

John stays with the elves and arches during the siege and subsequent battle. Roger is on the front lines along with Freddie, and John knows he won’t stray far from the prince but he can’t actually see them to verify, and Brian is taking a group through the secret hallways of the castle to get them from the inside as well.

He doesn’t know who to be more worried about, since save for a stray arrow, he’s mostly protected. While he fells as many as he shoots arrows, he can’t shake the feeling that something might go wrong. Roger could (would. will) sacrifice himslf to keep Freddie from feeling a fatal blow. Freddie might not be able to stop a fatal blow and he and Roger got seperated. Roger could sacrifice himself and Freddie still fall.

It’s the last one that has him deffering command to second, and starting to run through the battle.

He can’t help Brian. The warlock is too far out of his reach, but John can’t stop the thoughts of everything that could go wrong. The traitors might have learned of the passages. They could’ve collasped. Giant spiders. Someone getting too close to Brian before he can cast. Somone nullifying his magic.

“John?” Roger slides next to him.

As expected Freddie is only a few feet away from him, and Roger’s eyes are trained directly on his prince.

“Sorry. I couldn’t. I wanted to be up. I can’t.”

Roger nods and pulls the shortsword off his belt, “I know you’re good with your bow, but here.”

The three of them start carving a path towards the gates. John keeps an anxious watch on the sky waiting for the signal. So does Freddie. So does Roger.

Eventually the orange sparks hit the sky and the second phase of their plan occurs. The castle gates fall and the inside had already been routed. Except he can’t see Brian. Roger and Freddie are fine, Freddie’s already assuming his duty as now King, but he can see that they’re looking for Brian too.

John worries for a split second about what’s going to happen between elves and humans, but he’s more worried about where Brian could be.

Then he sees a curly mop of hair stumbling towards them. Exhausted but unharmed. Roger urges him to go to Brian with his eyes, because he still has to be A General and get things settled.

John can’t help but ask Brian when he wraps around him, “what’s going to happen to this. To me?”

Brian snorts, “if you think you’re going to be able to get away from Freddie and Roger now that they have you, you’re sorely mistaken.”

“And you?” John wonders if Brian doesn’t care about him as much as the others.

“I don’t have to worry about not being able to find you again.”

Headcanon Time!

Here’s a list of applicable headcanons for this blog! It’s pretty long so I’m putting the individual character heacanons under the read more. These are mainly for the Tainted versions.

General

Eden is the oldest, being just as old as the universe, and Isaac+dead counterparts are the youngest at 18.

Out of the humans, Eve is the oldest at 27.

Samson is the tallest while Lilith is the shortest. Maggy comes close second to Sam. (I have no set heights yet)

Blind Bitch Club (aka needs/has glasses): Eve, Jacob, Keeper, Laz, maybe Sam.

All the Isaacs don't really get along as much as they should

The Tainted characters are older versions of the originals. In the instance of this blog there has been a thirteen-year time skip between when they first left the Basement and when they returned

The Basement is a limbo created by God to give “trials” to abused kids and Fallen beings he feels like tormenting again

Scars accumulate from runs and can be healed quicker by getting HP ups or using the Yum Heart

Personal items (Torn Photo, Polaroid/Negative, Mr. Dolly, possibly some others) differ in appearance based on who’s “player 1”

The Mom-based bosses (minus Mother) and Angel Isaac+??? also change according to “P1”

Mother is Jacob and Esau’s mother. This is why defeating her unlocks them, and why the alt-path is so different and new and coincided with their arrival to the Basement

Laz subconsciously flips when he feels like he's about to die (kinda like the emergency button trinket). Obv it's automatic when he "clears" rooms.

Normal Laz is very sweet and shy

Dead/Flipped Laz is angry, driven to that point by dying so many times. His rage could almost match Samson's

Flipped Laz is incredibly paranoid and is always in fight-or-flight mode

Eden

A fallen deity

Knows more about the world than the others

They are the personification of the chaotic nature of the universe. They are both tranquility and chaos. They are blessed and damned. They are all and nothing.

Judas introduced them to memes. Oh God why did you do that. They're almost as bad as Azazel. They won't stop saying amogus. Help.

Fourth wall breaker

God wanted to make them one of His angels so they'd always be under His control. But Eden is too stubborn.

“Oh boy, okay, it’s okay; I’m okay. I got this,” murmureda nervous Zak Saturday as he ran up the steps to your family’s house. As he gotto the door, he hesitated a moment, finger hovering over the doorbell with uncertainty. He clutched the flowers in his left hander nervously.

“Whatdo you have to be nervous about? You’re Zak Saturday! Just do what Uncle Doyletaught you. You’ll be fine,” Zak said to himself, finally working up the courage to ring the bell. A young voice sounded with a ‘coming’ and he couldhear footsteps coming from the other side. He shifted from foot to foot. Everysecond the passed by felt like a minute. Finally, the door opened to revealyour small form, smiling widely at the teen Saturday.

“Zak,there you are. I was beginning to think you were gonna be late,” you said,practically leaping off the doorstep to hug him. He smiled and hugged you backbriefly, before pulling away and presenting your favorite flowers.

“I,uh, I got you these,” he said, avoiding eye contact as he handed over the smallbouquet. Your smile widens as you take them, inhaling the sweet aroma theyreleased.

“OhZak, they’re so pretty! Let me set these in some water really quick, comeinside!” you said, ushering him in. This wasn’t what he had expected. He hadn’tactually prepared himself to enter your house. He thought it would be a simplepick up and leave. The last thing he wanted to do on the first date was meet-

Zak wasn’t sure what he’d expected.Maybe it was from all the stories Doyle had told him, but he supposed hethought a big, scary, tattooed wrestler was going to be there, ready to wringZak’s throat if he brought you back any later than 8. He wasn’t at all likethat. He looked kind, and he could see where you took after him.

“Ah,you must be Zak. Please have my daughter back by 8 tonight, alright?” he askedhim. Zak nodded quickly.

“Ofcourse! I’ll have her 8 by back- I mean back by 8, sir!” Zak stuttered out.Your dad chuckled. A moment later, you ran back into the living room.

“Mymom is putting them in a vase for me. Let’s get going,” you said, taking Zak’sarm. He felt his face heating up quickly. Maybe it was from the touch alone,but it could have been from the fact you touched him in front of your father.

“Oh,wait now kids, let me get a picture for your mother,” your father said, takingout his phone. You groaned as Zak smiled nervously.

“Dad,we’re seventeen, this isn’t a middle school dance,” you said. You dad was notbudging though, so you and Zak reluctantly smiled for a photo.

“Okay,off you kids go. Have fun!” he said, letting the two of you out of the house. Stillwith your arm linked with his, Zak lead you down to the car Doyle had let himborrow for the evening. Upon seeing the car, you gasped. It was a sleek, redsports car.

“Thisis your car?!” you gasped.

“Uh,yeah! It was a gift from my uncle. No big deal or anything,” Zak lied. Intruth, Doyle told Zak it was okay to lie about it, as long as he didn’t get asingle scratch on it. He was putting a lot of faith in the young Saturday, thatwas for sure.

“Nobig deal, right,” you laughed, allowing Zak to open your car door for you. Yougot in, looking around at the interior. You could tell that it was expensivecar, making Zak’s statement that it was just a ‘gift’ sound just a bit farfetched.Then again, you hadn’t known each other for that long. His family could be loaded,and you had no idea.

Zakfinally got around to the driver’s side and sat himself down, nervously puttingthe key in the ignition and leaving the curb. It was one thing to have hisfamily in the car with or, or to even be by himself, but he had never had you in the car. To him, it felt like thestakes had just been raised tenfold. That, and he had the threat of deathhanging over him if the car, or you, were to be damaged in anyway. Both Doyleand your father would be after Zak at that point.

“So,where are we going?” you asked him, breaking him out of his thoughts.

“Oh, uh,”Zak starting, thinking of something clever to say. Doyle told him girls lovewhen you make them laugh. He had to be witty.

“Aplace.” Real smooth, Zak, he thought.

“Okay,a surprise then,” you giggled.

Theride continued in silence for quite a bit, until the two of you finally pulledup to a nice restaurant. It was pricey, but not too pricey. Yes, Doyle gave him the money for that too. He said hewanted his mini man to become “the ladies man.” That was Doyle, for you.

“Zak,this is, like, a really nice place. How did you get the money for this?” you asked him.

“Oh, uh,I worked for it. There are lots of things you don’t know about me,” he smirked,trying to sound cool. Judging by your howling laughter, he didn’t think it wasworking.

“Dude,we’re seventeen. Chill,” you said. You opened the handle to your side of thecar.

“Wait!”Zak yelled, stopping you. He practically ejected out of his seat and ran overto you side of the car, opening the door for you and placing his hand out for youto take. You let out a fake gasp.

“Sucha gentleman,” you said, taking his hand. He smiled.

“Well,you know me,” he said. You cocked an eyebrow at him.

“Ithought there were a lot of things about you I didn’t know,” you said, laughingas his face fell.

“Uh, well,y’know, um,” he began to stutter. You put her hands on his shoulders and shookhim a little.

“Zak,I’m messing with you,” you said, moving your hands back to your sides. “Justrelax and be yourself. I know this car isn’t yours. I know there’s no way youcan afford this place by yourself, or the insurance on this car for thatmatter.” Zak starting to calm down a bit at your words.

“I’msorry. I just really wanted to impress you. My uncle helped me out with allthis. I was following his advice,” Zak admitted, deciding it would be better tocome clean now. You smiled and kissed his cheek, surprising him.

“I’mon a date with Zak Saturday, not your uncle. I want to get to know you,” you told him, holding his handsgently. You had Zak blushing like a mess right now; not that it was hard.

“Okay,”he said. “No more lies. It’s just me and you.”

Youwouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

MINI HEACANON ALERT ! queen’s performance at live aid came at an extremely integral part in quinn’s life. he was seventeen, and while he was vaguely aware of his sexual preferences, he was lifetimes away from admitting it, but he sort of... accidentally, sort of, outed himself to his town afterwards? it wasn’t an outright proclamation, never had been, but shortly after the performance, quinn started wearing a leather strap around his arm exactly like freddie’s ( in combination with clothes like freddie’s that he already wore all the time ), and it more or less started a lot of whisperings in the town of people thinking he was “like freddie”. in a very weird - and admittedly extremely unhealthy way - when he noticed people starting to think he was gay, and then becoming relieved when they saw him with a girl in town, which was a pleasant change from the scorn they looked at him with whenever he was with the same girls, started this sick thought in his head of, “well, at least i’m not gay.” it took him the better part of two decades to get over that feeling, and to accept that even if he had been, it wouldn’t have been a bad thing, but the queen / freddie mercury and elton john being people he looked up to and listened to helped him a great deal in the beginnings of when he started to realize that he wasn’t the straight guy that he’d been raised to believe he had to be.

Seventeen headcanon: Seventeen as Daycare Workers

a/n: i really dont have the time for a whole au for this so uh here’s a headcanon because i just needed to like write it down somewhere. maybe one day i’ll make a mini series for each of them or smth

Choi Seungcheol

he’s the boss

he doesn’t own the daycare but he works directly under the owners

they’re family friends of his

he absolutely adores the kids at the daycare

he knows every kid in the daycare so well

like he knows who needs what and when

he always has the answers so everyone goes to him when they need help

moms always hit on him but he doesn’t realize they’re trying to hit on him

tbh he’s too busy making sure the kid didn’t forget anything lmao

while he does mostly work with the older kids (so basically anyone outside the baby room) he does do everything

all of the kids love him so much

Yoon Jeonghan

honestly he technically was never officially hired

they were really low on staff once so Seungcheol begged Jeonghan to help

he promised to pay him so Jeonghan said yes because he needed money

but even once they hired someone else, Jeonghan kept showing up

so he just works there now

he was really,,,,,,,not into taking care of kids lmao

he’s like the stereotypical new dad who like holds his baby wrong and is like ‘wtf is this???’

but he’s gotten the hang of it and a lot of the kids love him

he’s convinced them he’s a real life angel

Jihoon is trying to undo that by telling them the opposite but some of the kids only think he’s even cooler

always gets hit on by the parents

Joshua Hong

he’s one of the preschool teachers

he doesn’t like having anyone call him Mr. Hong so the kids call him Mr. Josh or Mr. Shua

he hits on a lot of the moms

may have slept with one or two of them but that’s neither here nor there

like Jeonghan, he teaches them that he’s this perfect gentleman (mostly so they’ll go home and tell their moms that)

again, Jihoon tells them otherwise

he has so many drawings from his students and he keeps all of them in a big folder in his desk at home

refuses to throw anything the kids made away

but while he’s sweet with the kids, he doesn’t really have a good track record with calling anybody back

always scolded by Jihoon and Seungcheol

Wen Junhui

the kids love him because he’s basically a large child

the kids love him so much

he literally lets them climb all over him he loves it

loves to help the kids with lunch and snack and stuff

he mostly works with the toddlers and not so much the babies

he’s like Jeonghan when he first started working there but only with babies

teaches the kids words in mandarin all the time

loves to tickle them and make them laugh

whenever a kid is crying, Jun’s the guy to go to

gets hits on a moderate amount but is too flustered to do anything about it

Kwon Soonyoung

claims he’s the one in charge is Seungcheol or Jihoon aren’t there

thankfully at least one of them is always at work

like Jun, he acts like he’s one of the kids

but sometimes he’s.......too extra with it

banned from the baby room for being too loud all the time

usually in charge of circle time

teaches them little songs and dances and stuff

lowkey hoped working at a daycare would help him meet someone but all the kids go home and tell their parents about how goofy Soonyoung is

so none of the single parents take him seriously so when he’s trying to hit on them it doesn’t work out

at least the kids like him

though sometimes they bully him or throw their toys at him lmao

Jeon Wonwoo

the other teacher

Wonwoo teaches the older kids who come in after they’re at kindergarten or first grade

but that’s not until the afternoon, so during the morning, he’s usually in the baby room

Wonwoo’s a much quieter teacher than Josh but his kids adore him

he’s the true gentleman

seems like he’d be awkward with kids but he’s so good with them????

if they’re crying or upset, he’s soft and patient and understanding

he’s perfect with babies because he’s already quiet and gentle

and unlike Josh, he keeps things more professional with the parents

even if a lot of kids insist they want him to be their dad

Lee Jihoon

somehow, he became the second in command to Seungcheol

he was hired around the time that Jeonghan started getting dragged there

and despite claiming he had no training and hadn’t ever really worked with kids, he was a natural

and kids loved him even though he seemed so cold and annoyed toward everyone else

but with kids he’s so sweet

if a kid is being a brat he absolutely won’t put up with it, though

he’s a lot more blunt with kids misbehaving than Seungcheol is but he at least gets them to behave

moms used to hit on him but he made it painfully obvious he wasn’t interested

like Seungcheol, he also works with all he kids, but he mainly stays in the baby room

Lee Seokmin

he assists Wonwoo with his classes in the afternoon

but during the day he goes between the baby room and staying with the rest of the kids

known for singing kids and babies to sleep

the kids are so in love with his voice

he’ll sit on the floor and they’ll all lay in like a lil pile around him and just listen to him sing as they fall asleep

probably loves helping with crafts more than he should

he’ll make one for himself and bring it home like a proud child lmao

tbh he has baby fever real bad

Kim Mingyu

assists Joshua’s class

tries to sit at the really short tables with the kids but his knees are like in his chest

no matter how many times he does that, the kids still think it’s hilarious

doesn’t really assist with crafts because he would mess it up

he already made three kids cry for ruining their crafts and he refuses to mess up again

of course he’s popular with the parents

but honestly even like 5 of the little girls insist they’ll marry Mingyu when they’re older

Mingyu just thinks it’s cute tho

Xu Minghao

mostly stays in the baby room

lowkey has baby fever like Seokmin but won’t admit it

but also thinks the single parents (and tbh even some of the married ones) coming in and flirting with everyone is really dumb

loves holding the babies and trying to get them to smile

occasionally assists with the older kids when help is needed, like with recess or something

the kids think he’s so cool because he always speaks to Jun in mandarin

but he’s kind of a little more awkward with kids so he just get’s all blushy and mumbles a thank you

then retreats back to the baby room

Boo Seungkwan

tbh just applied for the job because he thought it would be easy money

he’s suffering

it’s like kids know he’s not that great with kids and try to rub it in his face

they climb all over him, throw food at him, color on him

tbh they give him the hardest time out of anybody else

his bad luck carries over into the baby room

Seungcheol thought maybe he should work in there instead but he always gets spit up and thrown up on

let’s just say he has to basically keep a whole closet in his car because he’s always changing his clothes

but there are still really cute moments where a kid will crawl into his lap and ask him to read to him or when he sings to a baby and it smiles up at him

so he suffers through the pain for those moments

Hansol Chwe

literally the chillest worker there

kids and parents alike both love him

babies, not so much, but that’s fine because he doesn’t really know how to hold a baby anyway

tbh he doesn’t really like know what to do and when he just kinda follows what everyone else does

he’s not the best with kids, but I mean, he keeps them alive and mostly happy so ?????

he’s not one of the favorites but he’s trying

he might try to help a crying kid and only make them cry harder but he’s t r y i n g

kids don’t hate him and that’s what matters

and he does his job

Lee Chan

y’know how Soonyoung says he would be next in charge after Jihoon? it would probably actually be Chan

he’s good with babies and kids

sometimes pops into the classes to help out

he’s great with the parents too

Headcanon: Ford is a functional alcoholic.

Oh, demon Alcohol!

Drinking for better or worse was a part of the family traditions Ma had a glass of wine or three in the during the day and with dinner. Pa drank a beer with dinner and kept a bottle of cheap awful whiskey under the counter in the pawn shop. For Stan and Ford it started when they were12 having a very small amount of sweet wine at passover. Around 15 or so, Pa caught Stan sneaking a beer from the fridge, as it turned out neither of their Parents cared as long Stanley didnt’ get wasted. About seventeen all three Pines men killed a bottle of that cheap whiskey durning Purim. Ford hated the taste, at first it was like drinking an ash tray mixed with paint thinner after a while though…. it didn’t seem so bad and the warm comfortable feeling, and the confidence he felt, made the world seem better. They were eight shots deep when things began getting really awful that’s when the room began to spin and the stomach churned. But until then, it felt alright. Mostly Ford as a teenager avoided the hazards of booze. Stan being Stan drank a lot nearly every weekend at bar which didn’t care that his ID was fake as fuck. But wasn’t that stupid during the week.

It wasn’t until Backsupmore and vodka that Ford really discovered how ‘helpful’ alcohol was. It smoothed out the rough edges of life: quelled his self-doubt, calmed his nerves and well he hardly was a sloppy, disgusting, wild drunk. Vodka tasted like nothing, looked like water and it worked. He hardly noticed that it took more and more to produce that feeling of easy mastery and smooth out those rough edges. So he began to have drink before bed, it helped him sleep, that was fine. He never saw that he needed to sleep, despite being a sen observer of other things. Fiddleford introduced to him to REAL good whiskey., which was smooth smokey and sweet nothing like the crap Pa drank and Stan reeked of after a Saturday night on the town. Fiddleford also intrudoced to the home distilled moonshine, which wasn’t that smooth but they both enjoyed together, sipping it out of Mason jars until they blacked out. Waking up hungover, naked and surrounded by robots they built while drunk. Most of the time No one knew Ford’s dark secret, because by the time he started acting Drunk he was very very far past the point of being sober. It wasn’t like he couldn’t drive, operate machinery or do SCIENCE in his normal state.

The truth is… my heacanon is we’ve NEVER seen FORD sober expect in flashbacks when he was kid. Another reason Bill Cipher was able to take him for a ride.,

Also YES, Ford drinks vodka like water but loves a GOOD SCoTCH, which is his ‘fancy special occasion ‘ tipple. On the second floor of the basement, Stan never got in.... He has a a 40 year old very rare MaChamish of LOCh ness Scotch that was gift from Regan’s handlers. It cost like 1000,00 moneys, and the cryptid infused waters of Loch Ness give it the Scotch an terrior iike no other. He’s gonna share with Dipper when he’s like 21.
