#self aware cro
Note
Hello, can I ask for a self aware wind archer cookie with female reader?
(I'd like to apologize in advance if this is a little out of character, I don't play Ovenbreak but a friend has helped me out a bit so I hope you enjoy it!)
Protecting light.
It was dark…then light flooded his vision, Wind Archer Cookie fully came to. Where…where was he? Looking around he saw many other cookies looking at him, so many of different ingredients, sides and moralities. He was in a panic at first and going to fire an arrow at the closest dark cookie he saw before Millennial Tree Cookie put a hand on his shoulder.
“Calm yourself Wind Archer, no need for alarm. This is a safe place.”
It took a lot of convincing and reassurance that any of this was remotely okay and safe. But he trusted the great tree’s judgement.
He did all his best to assist in these strange missions, but if it led closer to the light winning over the dark and keeping the tree safe then he would do it. But as he ran, dashed through the winds and shot his arrows there was something…he couldn’t shake. He just felt this presence, following him everywhere. Even when he was around other cookies it was there, constantly.
He’d look around to see nothing, it made him suspicious and even a bit anxious. What was this?
Hmm… Surely it had to be another dark spirit! That’s what it had to be, and it was following him. To discourage him from his mission, to turn him back into the Night Raven. He wouldn’t allow that to happen! He had to inform the tree of this threat immediately!
“A threat? What kind of threat?” He asked.
“It has to be a dark spirit, I feel it everywhere, watching us. It feels so powerful, like it’s eyes are me whenever I am here or doing my tasks. We must do something!” He replied, alarmed and serious.
The tree took a second to think it over before chuckling and giving a warm smile.
“Fear not Wind Archer, I assure you these worries are unfounded. If something truly evil was watching us I would know about it. Please, try to relax, we’re in no danger.”
What the Millennial Tree said greatly confused him. No danger? That can’t be…but if there’s no threat…what is he sensing?
As time passed, he noticed he was growing considerably stronger, much more than what was normal for him. And this nagging feeling that something or someone was there only got stronger, finally one day he thought of one place left to look…the sky.
When his eyes peered upwards, they quickly widened at this blurry figure he could barely comprehend
“Who….who are you…?” He uttered but got no reply.
Now all that could fill his mind was this strange massive figure in the sky, he couldn’t make sense of what he was seeing. It was so difficult to make out the details but over time started it gradually changed. The stronger he got the clearer the being was, the more he could hear…what he assumed to be them talking. And one day, when he woke up, he could fully see…you.
A girl.
You had an appearance he’d never seen before and to him….you were so beautiful. You shined in the sky as you controlled the world. Controlled him. Made him stronger. You…you were a glorious Goddess of Light! That’s what you had to be! And he…he had to keep darkness from touching you.
He was at max strength, and he did everything he could to make you happy. He loved listening to you speak, seeing you smile, seeing your face every day.
It made his heartbeat faster than the winds at the very thought!
Much time had passed, but…you showed up less and less. It wasn’t every day he’d see you, wasn’t everyday he’d have tasks from you to complete. It made him so worried, did he do something wrong? Did he upset you? Did he offend you? Did any of the others do something? Why are you seeing them less?
Then, it was dark. You…didn’t come back. Where…where did you go?! Are you lost in this darkness?! He has to find you! He NEEDS to protect you!
Without a second thought, and even against the Millennial Tree’s wishes, he wandered off into the darkness. He didn’t care how far he had to go, he was going to find you and protect you from the evil that wanted to harm you. Other cookies tried to join him, Gingerbrave, Strawberry, Wizard, Alchemist, Vampire, and many others. But one by one they all disappeared into the shadow, never to be seen again.
It didn’t matter, he wouldn’t give up. He’ll never give up until he finds you.
He kept walking, and walking, and walking.
Finally, after what felt like ages, he saw a light in the distance. In a burst of speed and desperation he ran towards it, hoping this light led to his lost goddess. The closer he got the hotter it was, the light he saw now was in the shape of a cookie cutter. Wind archer quickly jumped through and his vision turned white.
“Welcome back Wind Archer Cookie, you’re finally home! Yes!” Exclaimed a familiar voice.
Wind archer’s eyes snapped open as he looked about rapidly at his surroundings, he was in a cookie kingdom. Several cookies he knew ran up to greet and welcome him to his new home. Slowly…he looked up towards the sky, and with great joy he saw you smiling at him!
His light goddess, he finally found you again! You were safe after all!
You welcomed him home. Yes…he’s home. He’s finally home! He’s finally back with you and many of the others!
But…the fact you were here, was most important to him.

for the fic title meme i submit: "like real people do" and brady/quinn
bold of you, a zombie-disliker, to prompt me, also a zombie-disliker, with the hozier zombie song. it is a banger though, so because of who we both are as people we will ignore those specific connotations. i do feel compelled to lean on the paranormal vibes here, which pair well with quinn's haunted vibes in general, so — maybe empath!quinn fic?
so, when quinn touches people, skin-to-skin, he can feel their feelings. he can't read their minds — just feel their feelings, and the amount of skin-to-skin contact definitely has an effect on how clearly he can feel those feelings. he's pretty used to it. it's not actually as big a factor in his life as you'd think it would be, just because the people whose skin he touches on a regular basis are all people he knows and trusts, so they know better than to go around, like, grabbing him when they're upset or whatever. a nice thing about hockey is that it's never going to be a problem on the ice; he's covered head to toe. that's part of why he fell in love with hockey. the vast majority of the time, he doesn't have to deal with anyone else's feelings on the ice — he's completely self-contained, his feelings and his instincts all his own.
brady's known about this since they were in the program together. when quinn moved into the tkachuks' basement, quinn's parents sat down with brady's parents to explain and make sure quinn would have the support he needed on that front as well as the hockey front. being an empath like quinn is, it's maybe not totally unheard of but it's very rare. some people think it's a myth or whatever — brady thought it was, until he met quinn. but they adapted around it quickly, as friends. brady's such a cheerful, easy-going guy, especially off the ice, that little touches from him didn't bother quinn, even as a teenager when every feeling felt extra sharp and extra raw. brady is kind of a clown, too, sure, but they balanced each other out really well, quinn quieter with his sneaky sense of humor. sometimes, when quinn got upset, he would deliberately grab brady's arm and steal some of his steadiness. sometimes, if brady noticed quinn was upset or sad or anything like that, he'd sneak his fingers around quinn's wrist until he felt better. he asked quinn once if it really helped, because, you know, sometimes brady would be sad or worried or etc himself, and quinn explained to him, as best he could, that with brady, because they knew each other so well, it's less about what brady is feeling and more about who he is, at his core, under all the feelings. and he's steady as a rock down there. he makes a good anchor.
anyway, fastforward some years. quinn's in vancouver now, far away from brady, but that's fine. he's grown up a lot since they were teenagers. he can anchor himself now. he's good at it. he's got a little crush on elias pettersson, even though he is well aware that elias only has eyes for brock. sometimes he'll rest his head on petey's shoulder just to feel the love and affection thrumming through him — it's nice even though it's not directed at quinn himself. maybe because it's not directed at quinn himself. that's one thing quinn has never figured out is how to have normal relationships, because kissing and sex involve so much skin-to-skin, and it's just been too much when he's tried. it's distracting when the other person likes quinn too much and it's distracting when the other person doesn't like quinn enough. the only time he's really been able to make it work is getting pretty drunk and then finding someone who's only in it for horny reasons, and even when that's good in the moment, the aftermath leaves him feeling kind of shitty. so it's just — it's nice. to feel someone feeling those things without any pressure or expectations directed at him.
he and brady see each other when they play each other, and maybe at some other league event if they're lucky. occasionally their paths cross in the summer, but not often. they still text every day, facetime at least once a week, even after years of no longer living together. they've only gotten closer since they were dumb teenagers together, in quinn's opinion. the physical distance is nothing. it's not unusual for him to go the better part of a year without touching brady, which is probably why he doesn't really notice when brady's feelings start changing. if brady's feelings feel warmer or softer than quinn remembers, then he's just misremembering. that touch of yearning when they hug hello, cheek to cheek, that's just because brady missed him the same way he missed brady. if his feelings felt the same way petey's love for brock feels, then maybe quinn would realize, but it turns out no two loves are exactly alike.
anyway, it sneaks up on brady, too. he realizes all at once, over dinner in vancouver when the sens are in town, watching quinn gesture with his sushi to a story about jack and luke. he's not thrown off by the realization, though. it's like -- suddenly everything makes perfect sense. of course. of course. who else would he feel this way about? he kind of mulls it over while they eat, but he's not a complicated guy, and he IS a big romance guy, so by the time their other game against each other rolls around he's basically all-in. when he hugs quinn hello, he slides his hand to the back of quinn's neck, figuring he's feeling these feelings so big right now there's no way quinn will miss them, and he gets -- nothing. no reaction, nothing out of the ordinary. because he's been feeling these feelingd for ages; the fact that he's aware of them now doesn't make them feel any different to quinn. to quinn, this is just the brady baseline.
cue a nice long stretch of pining from brady, cue quinn making some not great decisions. he feels adrift when the canucks leave ottawa. brady seemed off — quieter than usual, avoiding touching quinn's skin more than usual, which doesn't make sense to quinn, but maybe he just has stuff going on that he doesn't want quinn to know about, which feels weird, but maybe they're finally starting to drift apart or whatever. quinn's just going to spend the next whatever amount of time wallowing in how he wants to be wanted but not in any of the ways that seem to be on offer. nothing feels right. he spends a lot of time wishing he was normal, a little time on an internet deep dive about empathy-suppressants that he decides sound too scammy to try — he doesn't want anything weird showing up if he has to do a blood test or something — sticks with alcohol when he really needs to numb himself a little. maybe at some point asks petey to kiss him, then specifies — think about brock while you do it. so quinn can pretend he knows what it feels like to be wanted like that. and petey does it (they're both pretty drunk) but then at the next available sober moment makes quinn have a heart-to-heart with him about what's wrong and how he's been feeling.
quinn keeps thinking that if he could reach out and hold brady's wrist for a minute, he would feel grounded again. then he would be okay.
not sure exactly how the last act of this fic would play out but obviously they're going to work their shit out. maybe brady get upset that quinn is, he thinks, choosing to pretend he doesn't know how brady feels, and that's just a dick move, according to brady. so they start to fight and then realize the fight is stupid. because they love each other. they are IN love. and then they have extremely tenderhorny sex wherein brady covers quinn's whole body with his body, skin to skin, all tangled together. every time they kiss quinn can feel him smiling, and it's the best thing quinn has ever felt.

This might sound a little bitchy, but I wanted to make a reminder that Ithaca is not a good person. She's a neutral evil (at best) majorly non-resisting Durge. She may do what is deemed "good deeds" but more than likely it's self serving. Her Personality is personable and charming, perhaps even friendly depending, with a dash of uwu cutesy. And while she may come off in a corny way like a Sailor Moon Villain, I can't stress how much of a horrendous abomination she is. Literally she's a monster. And with writing her comes with the territory of horror topics which include but not limited to: gore, cannibalism, body horror, violence. Yes there is the ne*cro aspect of Durge background that I won't touch or write as well as the other standard stuff I won't write.
Yes, I make references to and pull inspiration from horror media that probably isn't everyone's cup of tea.
But the point is, no matter how much of a faerie princess Ithaca is, she's horrible. And that's fine and that's how I like her. She's a complex character that has reasons for why she is what is she and why she does what she does (even if one of those is because she can or wants to).
If you don't like my character, what I write or even me, that's fine. I get it. Block me, unfollow me. Cool. But please just be aware this is the can of worms that it is. I appreciate everyone that at least gives me a chance and those that stick around. Because truly I have loved creating and fleshing Ithaca out.

“It would be romantic, your betrothed would love that.” ksksksk i love their friendship so much. i also love how carefree Cece is about this bc she knows it’s going to happen no matter what so she’s not really worried about anything at all. meanwhile the rest of the house is in flames sksksksk
Alright, this honestly felt like that one time he had broken all the fine china. this Fine China™️ will haunt him and till the end of his days AND the after life like this story will be told for generations.
“Makes me wonder who you took after.” PERCIVAL SKKSKSK. Sassy Percy™️ is in the house and i am living for it! also, Anthony trying so so hard not to talk back is so hilarious bc i know he’s dying too but he’s more dying to marry Cherie so sksksks. and also that exchange??? Anthony with that ammo hello??? like he’s READY for anything that Percy will throw his way. like this man is DETERMINED and he’s got all the receipts.
“Edmund would be proud of you.” awww :( why would u hit me with that. my fricking heart wasn’t ready.
“Forever,” Anthony corrected him. “You of all people would understand, would you not?” YOU CAN’T HIT HIM WITH THAT TOO. but he does have a point ugh. why is this so tense and exciting and heart aching sometimes and funny and all that stuff at the same timeeee. emotions! so many of them!
“I can’t even notice anyone else when she’s in the room,” he said. “Let alone looking at another.” i mean, how could you not marry this man Percival????? he’s all heart eyes.
“As you said, my father and you were close friends,” he said. “He used to talk about all those adventures you two used to have. You had a reputation too, among ladies.” // The Duke raised his brows. “Decades ago.” // “Exactly, and it changed.” Anthony said. “When you met your wife.” OOF™️ he’s got you there Percival. honestly, i’m reading this like i’m watching a never-ending tennis match like this back and forth is just SO good. SO SO GOOD. like you’re just anticipating what the other will say and what the rebuttal would be.
“I did,” he admitted after a couple of seconds of silence. “It was a misunderstanding, but that is not an excuse. It shouldn’t have happened, and I swear on my honor that it will never, ever happen again.” AND HE’S SELF-AWARE HELLO?? ksksks i’m so bias and lol i’m a hopeless romantic i get swooned easily BUT AT LEAST HE KNOWS?? and is doing his best to never let it happen again? and with what they went through those weeks i’m sure Anthony would never let Cherie experience that again like.
“I do want your approval on this, but I’m not going to let you stand in the way. You wanted to know why I didn’t ask you first? It’s because the only opinion I care about is hers. Not yours, hell, not even Elias’s at this point. Only hers. So even if you don’t trust me, I don’t care as long as I have her trust. And most importantly, she loves me.” DING DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER. honestly Percy idk about you but i’d marry him myself if i could. like, he values Cherie above EVERYONE else and as he should!! and given the time period i think it’s so rare for a man to value his wife’s opinion above all else so like how could you deny him really?? and i’m going to have a lil dig at Percy here, but this is what’s different about them too. bc as much as Percy loved Cassie, he still believed his “best friend” over his wife didn’t he? worse yet, he didn’t even give his wife a chance to say her side. he kinda gave into the idea of the whole “a man’s opinion is better than a woman’s” albeit not on purpose but still. and Anthony, i mean, they’re not even married yet but look at him. he doesn’t care about anyone else, just Cherie. he’s giving her that freedom to choose for her life. he respects and values her opinion most especially on a matter that should be her choice and her choice only. and i don’t think any other man would offer that to her. so in that regard, Anthony is already a point better than Percy in the husband criteria.
“So trust me, by hook or by crook I will be with her, regardless of your opinion or your approval.” oh he’s NOT SCARED. HE WILL MARRY THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE AND NO ONE WILL STOP HIM. as he should ugh how could not love this maaan.
“You do realize I will not make things easy for you during the settlement negotiations, do you not?” // “As far as I’m concerned, everything I own is already hers. Do your worst.” I MEAN??? IT GETS EVEN BETTER?? YOU HAVE A MAN WHO WOULD GIVE EVERYTHING TO HER?? i mean you’re talking to the same man who already planned on redesigning her bedroom as a wardrobe for all her dresses HOW COULD U NOT APPROVE???
But no, of course i understand Percy protectiveness of it all. this is his only daughter, and he’s just grown that bond with her so he’s going to do everything to give her the best life. And that’s what him and Anthony similar with, they both just want the best for Cherie and i’m sure she will get exactly that. but god i loved this scene so much. i just love the way these two head of houses butt heads like it’s so entertaining. amazing as always!!
– TM Anon™️
Omg darliiiing hi! ❤❤❤
Definitely! Like, Cece has zero worries about it, she knows it’s going to happen, so she’s just there enjoying this whole drama😂 She’s so entertained by it 😂
Oh their children will hear about the Fine China Incident, one hundred percent! 😂
Anthony trying so hard 😂 He probably had the perfect comeback to that comment but…😂
Anthony with that ammo hello??? like he’s READY for anything that Percy will throw his way. EXACTLYYY! ❤ He went there totally ready to have an answer to every single thing Percy would say, he knew it wouldn’t be easy 😏
Percy and Edmund were such close friends I think! ❤ I mean they talked about their sons a lot and Percy knew him so well, so I think he totally knew Edmund would be proud of him❤
Anthony and Cherie’s love story totally could have ended up like Percy and Cassie’s, I think he knows that ❤
honestly, i’m reading this like i’m watching a never-ending tennis match like this back and forth is just SO good. SO SO GOOD. like you’re just anticipating what the other will say and what the rebuttal would be. AAAAAA I LOVE WRITING TENNIS MATCH ARGUMENTS SO MUCH! 😍❤
Oh yeah, those weeks kind of scarred both of them in different ways, and Anthony will make sure it never happens again ❤
he values Cherie above EVERYONE else and as he should!! and given the time period i think it’s so rare for a man to value his wife’s opinion above all else THIS! THIS!
You are absolutely right! Because like, Regency was not a time where that was common, and I think Cherie and Anthony’s marriage will be very different than other marriages of that time! ❤ Like, to Anthony, Cherie’s opinion is the most important thing, and he actually makes sure she and everyone else around them know that! He is aware that they almost lost each other because of miscommunication before so he is listening to what she wants, and he knows how important it is to her to make her own choices❤
And Cece had a part in that development as well, I don’t think Anthony would be able to see things this clearly without her help ❤
i’m going to have a lil dig at Percy here, but this is what’s different about them too. bc as much as Percy loved Cassie, he still believed his “best friend” over his wife didn’t he? worse yet, he didn’t even give his wife a chance to say her side. he kinda gave into the idea of the whole “a man’s opinion is better than a woman’s” albeit not on purpose but still. This is such a good point, yes!
Percy did that not on purpose, like you said, and it was the biggest mistake of his life💔 He lost the love of his life because of that, and I actually don’t think it would’ve played out that same way if it were Anthony, he would never make that mistake ❤❤❤
HE IS SO DETERMINED TO MARRY HER ❤ Nothing Percy could say during marriage settlement negotiations could ever stop him 😂
he’s going to do everything to give her the best life. And that’s what him and Anthony similar with, they both just want the best for Cherie and i’m sure she will get exactly that
Oh absolutely, that’s the one thing they have in common! They both want Cherie to be happy and that’s how they will kiiind of get along well, because of Cherie❤❤
Thank you so much for this love, YOU’RE AMAZING! 😍😍❤❤❤❤

You me and steve but it's them ig (j) but yeah, YAS!eridan plays up his awfulness, i feel like some people are aware of that but the others are just like :/ he's just like that and it's annoying
meanwhile cronus is just- he's cronus! he's. a little strange in terms of amapora-ness - because while he definitely does have the classic ampora traits, he also shows a much broader range of emotions than both his dad and brother do, and while he is melodramatic, and self-proclaimed #brocken #im13andthisisdeep he doesn't wallow in self-pity NEARLY as much as eridan does, which is probably one of the reasons why cro's friends find him more tolerable and eridan's friends do him ✌️-KPA
YEAH EXACTLY!!!!
Cronus had Eridan to learn from and to be cared by, Eridan had Eridan you know? Certainly both parties could use actual parental figures— and therapy— but they’ve got each other in their own way.

8 Ways Marketers Are Making You Addicted to Cro’s
Tumblr media
1) The dopamine hit of the new notification
Notifications are one of the most popular features on our phones. They give us a little dopamine hit every time we see a new one. They're like a mini-reward that keeps us coming back for more.
Marketers are well aware of the power of notifications. They're using them to hook us into their apps and make us keep coming back for more.
Here are 8 ways they're doing it:
1. They make us feel good
Notifications give us a little dopamine hit every time we see one. They're like a mini-reward that keeps us coming back for more.
2. They're always available
Notifications are always there, waiting for us to check them. They're like a little voice in our head that says, "Hey, there's something new for you to check out."
3. They're easy to check
Notifications are designed to be easy to check. They're usually just a few taps away, and we can usually check them without even having to put down our phone.
4. They're personalized
Notifications are often personalized to our interests. They know what we like and they show us more of it.
5. They're timely
Notifications usually come at just the right time. They show up when we're bored or when we have a few spare seconds.
6. They're relevant
Notifications are usually relevant to our current interests. They show us things that we're interested in at that moment.
7. They're actionable
Notifications often give us something to do. They're not just passive information, they're often things that we can act on.
8. They're addictive
Notifications are designed to be addictive. They keep us coming back for more, even when we don't really want to.
2) The fear of missing out
Do you ever feel like you're missing out on something? That there's always something better happening that you're not a part of? If so, you're not alone.
The fear of missing out, or FOMO, is a real phenomenon that affects people of all ages. And thanks to social media, it's only getting worse.
Think about it: every time you log onto Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you're bombarded with images of your friends and acquaintances living their best lives. They're traveling to amazing places, attending cool events, and generally having a great time.
And while it's great to be happy for them, it's also easy to feel like you're missing out on all the fun.
FOMO can lead to feelings of anxiety, envy, and depression. It can make you compare your life to others and feel like you're falling short CRO’s.
But there are ways to combat FOMO. Here are 8 tips:
1. Don't compare your life to others.
This is easier said than done, but it's important to remember that everyone's life is different. What looks perfect on social media may not be the reality. So don't compare your behind-the-scenes to someone else's highlight reel.
2. Be mindful of the time you spend on social media.
If you find yourself scrolling through your feed for hours, it's time to cut back. Limit yourself to a certain amount of time each day, and use that time to connect with friends and family or explore new interests.
3. Don't base your self-worth on likes and comments.
Likes and comments are meaningless in the grand scheme of things. They don't define you as a person.
4. Do something that makes you happy.
Don't wait for someone else to invite you to do something. If there's something you want to do, go out and do it!
5. Make plans with friends and family.
Spending time with loved ones is a great way to combat FOMO. Make plans in advance so you have something to look forward to.
3) The constant need for validation
We all have a need to feel valued and validated. This need is so strong that it can often override our better judgment, and cause us to make decisions that we wouldn't normally make.
This need for validation can be exploited by marketers, who often use it to their advantage. Here are 8 ways that marketers are making you addicted to validation:
1. Social media
Social media is one of the most obvious ways that marketers exploit our need for validation. By constantly bombarding us with images and messages that make us feel inadequate, they can drive us to seek validation by likes, comments, and shares.
2. Advertisements
Advertisements are another common way that marketers exploit our need for validation. By showing us perfect, unattainable standards of beauty, success, and happiness, they can make us feel like we need to purchase their products in order to feel good about ourselves.
3. Celebrity culture
Celebrity culture is another area where marketers exploit our need for validation. By constantly showing us images of celebrities who seem to have perfect lives, they can make us feel like we need to aspire to that level of perfection in order to be happy.
4. The media
The media is also guilty of exploiting our need for validation. By showing us stories of people who have achieved great things, they can make us feel like we need to accomplish something similar in order to feel successful.
5. The education system
The education system is another common way that marketers exploit our need for validation. By making us feel like we need to get good grades and get into a good college, they can make us feel like our self-worth is dependent on our academic performance.
6. The workplace
The workplace is another area where marketers exploit our need for validation. By making us feel like we need to get a good job and earn a lot of money, they can make us feel like our self-worth is dependent on our career success.
7. Religion
Religion is another common way that marketers exploit our need for validation. By making us feel like we need to believe in a certain set of beliefs in order to be a
4) The need for instant gratification
We live in a world where we want everything and we want it now. We’re used to getting what we want, when we want it, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. But when it comes to spending money, this need for instant gratification can be our downfall.
We’re bombarded with marketing messages telling us that we deserve the best of the best and that we should treat ourselves. And while there’s nothing wrong with treating yourself every now and then, if you’re constantly succumbing to the pressures of marketing and spending money you don’t have, it can be detrimental to your financial wellbeing.
Here are four ways that marketers are making you addicted to instant gratification:
1. They’re playing on your emotions
Marketers know that we make decisions based on our emotions, so they’re constantly trying to evoke certain feelings in us that will make us want to buy their product. They use things like fear, guilt, and insecurity to try and get us to part with our hard-earned cash.
2. They’re making you feel like you need their product
Have you ever seen a commercial for a new product and thought to yourself, “I need that”? Marketers are good at making us believe that we need their product, even if we don’t. They do this by playing on our emotions and using marketing techniques that make us think we can’t live without their product.
3. They’re using social media to their advantage
Social media is a powerful tool that marketers use to their advantage. They know that we’re constantly checking our phones and that we’re influenced by what we see on our feeds. So, they use social media to show us ads for products that we didn’t even know we wanted.
4. They’re making you believe that you deserve it
We’re constantly being told that we deserve the best of the best. And while there’s nothing wrong with wanting nice things, marketers make us believe that we deserve to treat ourselves all
5) The power of social media
It's no secret that social media has taken over the world. In just a few short years, platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have become integral parts of our lives. We use them to stay in touch with friends and family, to keep up with current events, and to share our thoughts and feelings on the issues that matter to us.
But social media isn't just a way to stay connected with our loved ones. It's also a powerful marketing tool that businesses can use to reach new customers and promote their products and services.
Here are five ways that social media can be used to boost your business:
1. Social media is a great way to connect with potential customers.
With over 2.8 billion active social media users around the world, there's a good chance that your target market is using one or more of the major platforms. By creating a presence on the platforms they're using, you can reach them where they're already spending their time and connect with them on a personal level.
2. Social media can help you build relationships with customers.

6) The power of suggestion
We've all heard of the power of suggestion, but what exactly is it? And how can marketers use it to their advantage?
The power of suggestion is a psychological phenomenon that occurs when someone is exposed to a suggestion that influences their thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. For example, if you see a commercial for a new product and you start to feel like you need it, that's the power of suggestion at work.
Marketers use the power of suggestion to influence our buying decisions all the time. Here are 8 ways they do it:
1. Creating a sense of urgency
One way marketers use the power of suggestion is by creating a sense of urgency. They do this by using phrases like "limited time only" or "while supplies last." This makes us feel like we need to buy the product now before it's too late.
2. Using social proof
Another way marketers use the power of suggestion is by using social proof. This is when they show us that other people have bought the product and liked it. For example, they might show us testimonials from satisfied customers. This makes us more likely to buy the product because we think other people must know something we don't.
3. Offering free gifts
Another way marketers use the power of suggestion is by offering free gifts. They do this because they know that people are more likely to buy something if they feel like they're getting a good deal. For example, they might offer a free trial of a product or a buy-one-get-one-free deal.
4. Making us feel like we're missing out
Another way marketers use the power of suggestion is by making us feel like we're missing out. They do this by using phrases like "don't miss out" or "act now." This makes us feel like we need to buy the product now before it's too late.
5. Creating a fear of missing out
Another way marketers use the power of suggestion is by creating a fear of missing out. They do this by showing us what we're missing out on if we don't buy the product. For example, they might show us
7) The allure of the unknown
There's something alluring about the unknown. It's exciting and full of possibilities. We're drawn to it like a moth to a flame.
When it comes to marketing, the allure of the unknown can be a powerful tool. Marketers use it to create a sense of urgency and excitement around their products. They know that if they can make us feel like we're missing out on something, we're more likely to buy.
The allure of the unknown is a double-edged sword, though. On the one hand, it can be a great way to sell products. On the other hand, it can be a great way to create addiction.
When marketers use the allure of the unknown to create addiction, they're playing on our basic human desires. We want what we can't have and we want to be part of something exclusive. Marketers know this and they use it to their advantage.
They'll release a new product and create a sense of urgency around it by saying it's only available for a limited time. They'll release a new version of a product and make us feel like we need to have it now or we'll be left behind. And they'll create VIP programs that make us feel like we're part of an elite group.
All of these tactics are designed to create a sense of FOMO (fear of missing out). And they work. We see something that we want and we feel like we need to have it. We become addicted to the chase.
The allure of the unknown can be a great marketing tool, but it can also be a great way to create addiction. Be aware of the tactics marketers use and be mindful of the impact they can have on your behavior.
8) The fear of missing out
The fear of missing out, or "FOMO," is a common phenomenon in today's world. With social media, we are constantly bombarded with images and messages of what our friends are doing, where they are going, and what they are buying. It's easy to feel like we are missing out on something, whether it's a new restaurant, a new product, or even a new experience.
FOMO can lead us to make impulsive decisions, like buying something we don't need or going to a place we don't really want to go. It can also lead to anxiety and depression, as we compare our lives to the seemingly perfect lives of others.
The best way to combat FOMO is to be aware of it. When you start to feel that pang of jealousy or envy, take a step back and ask yourself if you really need or want what you're seeing. Chances are, the answer is no. Focus on the positive things in your life and be grateful for what you have.
If you find that FOMO is impacting your mental health, it's important to seek help from a professional. They can help you understand the root of your anxiety and work on coping mechanisms. Don't let the fear of missing out control your life.

The shuttle shook and heaved as you soared through hyperspace. You were being transported in an ancient, rusty GX1 short hauler so as not to raise suspicion when entering the jungle moon. Just a few days prior you received a hologram asking for your return and next thing you knew, you were packing up everything you owned and boarding a shuttle craft to the Resistance base at the center of it all: Ajan Kloss.
Why Leia even contacted you in the first place baffled you; she claimed she could use another commander at her side. With spirits starting to dim, your presence on base would hopefully inspire some new recruits and possibly remind the old recruits that the Resistance wasn’t just a failing pipe dream. And, of course, when the general asks for a favor, you can’t just refuse.
You gripped your hands together to calm your nerves. Leia obviously knew you had potential and a good reputation, but what would everyone else think? You hoped that if there were any rumors, they would all be positive.
You tried to focus on your breathing, in through your nose and out through your mouth. You envisioned your breath leaving your body and propelling out to knock away any daunting fears standing before you.
Suddenly, the shuttle jolted out of hyperspace, pulling you from your thoughts. The ship began descending slowly, finally landing on the moon’s surface.
You took a deep breath, both excited and terrified of who and what would be waiting for you on the outside. You closed your eyes tight, summoning your courage from deep within.
Leia obviously wants you here for a reason. Leia wants you here, you tell yourself over and over. You can’t let her down now.
“All set?” The pilot peeked over at your stressed face. Your eyes quickly snapped open. He gave you an encouraging nod and a small smile at the corner of his lips.
You shakily nod, “Ready as I’ll ever be.”
Legs buckling, you slowly rise onto your feet.
One foot after the other…
You approach the doors of the shuttle just as they crack open. The harsh sun stings your eyes, and you lift an arm to block its hot rays. Gradually, your pupils begin to adjust, picking out shapes and figures waiting for you a few feet away from the ship’s ramp. You recognize a few of them: Leia, of course, with Poe Dameron to her right. You instantly recognize his dark, curly hair and his handsome face from the countless Resistance propaganda posters. The banners were infamous among supporters, always featuring the slogan “RESIST THE TYRANNY OF THE FIRST ORDER: Join the Resistance!” and a stoic photo of Dameron, sporting his pristine Resistance uniform. You also spot an older man on Leia’s immediate left, donning bright white hair and a graying beard, as well as another woman on Leia’s far right - she was tall and pencil thin, with soft purple hair. She looked familiar, but you couldn’t quite put a name to the face.
Behind the officials, a small crowd had started to form, obviously anticipating your arrival. Even though you knew it would be impossible, you hoped your arrival would be a small affair, only you and Leia. You never liked being in the spotlight; which was one of the reasons you enjoyed your old base so much - to them, you were a familiar face. You're too nervous to look into the faces of the throng, afraid that if you do, you might scurry back into the shuttle and order the pilot to take off.
Tentatively, you start to disembark down the ramp of the ship, hyper aware of your footing -  a clumsy tumble wouldn’t make the best first impression, especially in front of a crowd…
Leia wants you here. Leia wants you here, you chant in your head.
With a wide smile, you step in front of Leia, offering her a quick salute.
“General.” You nod swiftly.
“Please,” Leia says with a chuckle and resting a hand on your arm, “you never called me ‘General’ before, I certainly don't expect it now.”
You laugh, quickly rushing in for a hug, which Leia reciprocates without question.
You were so happy to see her after all these years. Leia was the one who taught you everything you knew, from piloting, to ship mechanics, and even some hand-to-hand combat. She wanted to teach you everything you would ever need to know, so you never had to rely on anyone besides yourself.
Leaving D’Qar and starting another small resistance base was one of the hardest things you’ve ever had to do - leaving Leia was one of the hardest things you’ve ever had to do. She was the only motherly figure you’ve ever known, and seeing her now made your eyes start to water.
“It’s good to see you,” you say, pulling away gently and taking a step back, wiping your eyes before anyone could see.
“You’ve made quite a name for yourself, haven’t you?” she says with a proud smile. Slight tears were beginning to form in her eyes as well before she quickly changed the subject. “Well. Let me introduce you to the team. You’ll become very familiar with them while you stay on base. They have my utmost respect - I trust them with my life, as I hope, with time, you will, too,” she turned to the older man to her left, “This is Caluan Ematt, one of my high ranking generals and a former lieutenant in the Rebel Alliance.”
You reach out and shake his firm hand.
“It’s a pleasure,” he says quickly.
Leia continues, turning to her immediate right, “This is Poe Dameron, one of our exemplary pilots here on D’Qar. He will be our eyes and ears in the skies.”
You look over to his deep brown eyes, then down to his extended hand. You take it quickly.
“Of course. ‘The best pilot in the resistance,’” you quip, giving him a small smirk.
Poe returns the smile, “That’s what they tell me. I’ve been excited to finally meet the infamous commander Leia won’t stop bragging about.” He squeezes your hand a little tighter.
You blush slightly, pulling your hand from his warm grasp.
Finally, you look to the purple-haired woman to Poe’s right.
“And this is Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, one of my dear friends and protégés. I’m sure you two will become fast friends,” Leia finishes with a smile.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” you say looking at the woman. She gives you a kind smile and a small nod in return.
“Well,” Leia looks to you, “now that you’ve met everyone, why don’t you take a look around. Unfortunately, we’ve just received word of another First Order attack - a village just outside of Hosnian Prime - so me and my other advisors will be putting together an evac mission to aid any remaining civilians. But, don’t worry. Mr. Dameron, here, has taken the liberty of showing you the base and bringing you to your quarters.”
You look to Poe, who gives you a friendly nod as confirmation.
“It was a pleasure to meet you all,” you say with a slight bow, “Thank you for your warm welcome and your hospitality.” You look back to Leia with a warm smile.
Swiftly, Leia moves in for one last hug, whispering in your ear, “It’s good to see you home.”
You nod against her shoulder and give her one last goodbye before she pulls away and heads off with General Ematt and Admiral Holdo in tow.
You look at her retreating form, wishing you could run after her and tell her everything she's missed while you were apart, ask her every question you’ve been dying to know the answers to.
“Ready?” Poe asks, observing your line of sight. You quickly snap back to Poe’s intense gaze.
You look into his eyes for a brief moment, seeing what you thought was a look of understanding and sympathy behind them, before you looked over his shoulder to the crowd still surrounding you, watching you silently.
Leia wants you here. You tell yourself again, knowing there’s no shuttle for you to run back to anymore.
You give the crowd a small bow of your head.
A gesture of thanks. A sign of gratitude and peace.
You raise your head, catching Poe’s pensive look.
“Ready.”

> title. ardent. > note. guard!xiao x royal!gn!reader.   > wc. 1.3k. > cw. mild public embarrassment-ish.
Tumblr media
although the knightly protagonist and his royal love interest are sung unnamed… the familiarity of the tale of venti’s latest ballad makes xiao’s grip tighten around his halberd, knuckles turning white. he steals a glance to his left, only to meet the gaze of the young heir to the throne who’s already been looking his way. xiao’s eyes drop to the floor, a soft pink flushing his cheeks as venti performs his next and final verse.
“loyal lovers listen well, to the end of this story that i tell. i tell of love! for it must be told! for love – true love – is far better than gold… far better than riches empires may bring, and so, i beg you…” venti trails off, the music tapering for a sliver of a second, enough to bring xiao’s chin up to look the bard in the eyes as he meets his crescendo, “knightly songbird,” he addresses him directly, “sing. pour the praise of your heart in their hands, i pray and i promise that they’ll understand.”
he’ll kill him. xiao’s decided that he’ll kill him. in the moments before venti meets his untimely demise, however, xiao must deftly avoid the curious gaze you’re giving him as the performers exit the hall. melodic lyric has been replaced by the droning voice of a royal coordinator informing the room full of prestigious guests of the details of the successive performances, but xiao knows that you’ll retire soon… venti had been the only engagement you’d wished to attend tonight.
“escort me to my quarters,” you murmur your command once low chatter returns to the room, and xiao weaves you through the crowd. the walk is quiet, your eyes trained on the moon hanging low in the blue stained windows, and it unnerves him.
it’s only until you’re in front of your chambers that the silence is broken by a tentative xiao, “i will be here,” he murmurs, but you make no move to enter your room and he desperately attempts to shake the nervousness that crawls through his limbs. it makes him uncharacteristically fidget.
“a compelling ballad,” you suddenly say, and xiao’s heart drops into his stomach.
“venti is imaginative.” he wills himself to sound uninterested, dismissive.
“i wonder what his inspiration could have been. i may ask him.”
xiao stiffens ever so slightly, his blush returning only to go unnoticed in the moonlight. “could there be merit in keeping some mystery?” he asks and it’s suspicious because he never entertains your idle chatter past a simple yes or no agreement, maybe three, four, five words tops.
“maybe,” you say, a disconcerting glint of mischief in your eye paired with a matching half-smile of your lips. “does it matter to you?” xiao falls into his staple silence, refusing to entertain the question, “personally, perhaps?” you push.
and it’s the halberd slipping from his hands in his surprise at your forwardness that makes you laugh, grabbing it before he can catch it and spinning around in circles in the hall – keeping the weapon just out of reach over and over and over until xiao is dizzy and annoyed and embarrassed. the entire time you tease and you taunt: “pray tell, who could this harrowing knight be? in love with his royal heir to the throne that he’s fated to protect until death do they part,” you continue to his detriment, “destined to pine in his loyal silence, suppressing his ardent love unless he breaks free of his self-imposed prison.”
and still xiao says nothing, successfully pinning his excellency’s wrists to the wall in an attempt to confiscate his halberd only for you to look down on him with catchlights in your eyes and a sickening smirk as if you’ve won something.
because it’s when xiao becomes aware of his body imposing closeness, his face as hot as a furnace, and his heart hammering against his ribcage like a trapped bird. it’s when xiao becomes aware that venti’s lyrics had been a message to not only him, but you, too. it’s when xiao becomes aware that the royal crown in front of him knows.
“is there something my knight wishes to tell me?” you ask, half silly and half serious.
but xiao’s tongue ties itself in knots, his reaction time too slow, and his silence drags on a beat just long enough to clue you into your suspicions and your eyes are widening because you hadn’t been completely sure that yes, he did have something to tell you, but he never thought he would ever get the chance.
“oh my gods,” you say under your breath, “really?” and suddenly his touch is hot on your skin, too hot.
it comes rushing out as if he’s been waiting for the question all this time, “it’s true,” he says quickly and quietly, “what venti says is true.” and it surprises you both into a wide-eyed silence. xiao lets go of you, taking his proper stumbling steps back, and is met with another inquiry.
“you love me?”
“do embarrass me further,” xiao mutters, finally grabbing the halberd from your hand and taking his place by your chamber doors.
“you love me,” you say. “for how long? since we were children? or is this a sort of recent realization?”
he’s cherry-cheeked and jittery, “i was fifteen,” he admits.
“oh,” you say, “and was there a catalyst?”
“the promise you made.”
your mind turns its gears, your thinking almost loud enough to hear as you struggle to remember before a light goes off like fireworks, “no, that can’t be right,” you burst, embarrassed. it’d been something you’d shouted at the marshal of the court from the stands of the knights practice stage after he had assigned a puny kid a year younger than you to be your personal guard. “i absolved that, i apologized to you after our first duel, and… and–
“but it’s true,” xiao says, “you are more fit to protect me than i am to protect you.”
it’s an admittance that stills the air.
“what do you mean?” you ask.
“your curiosity is unkillable,” he refuses to look at you, and so you counter by drawing near. the space between you closes and you lean into him, yet still his gaze remains cast behind you.
and so to remedy the imbalance, you offer a piece of yourself. “i came to the knowledge slowly,” you say, “it was… our consistency. i know i’m not the best that i can be… i’m misdirected by my own desires often and you aren’t. i, by association, get you in trouble quite frequently,” you admit with a nervousness, “just past sunday did we receive a scolding for our last rendezvous past-curfew at the castle town bakery… i apologize, again,” you ramble and xiao is content to see you flustered, until you finally say what you’ve been meaning to say: “but i know, that, without fail, you’d never rather it anyone else getting in trouble beside me. only you and i, together.”
xiao finally looks to you, spurring the realization of the mere inches between your lips, and you falter, stumbling over your highly anticipated final confession, “i-i, i…”
and it’s okay, because xiao makes the distance disappear and kisses you anyway; and it’s a kiss so soft and shy like a dream he melts into – a dream he’s afraid he’ll wake up from.
and reality is bitter. the moment is completely shattered by adrenaline at the mere thought of being caught – you break apart at a slow clap from the end of the hallway. its origin steps into the flickering light and reveals a familiar, little stature dressed in green and white.
with a lyre tucked under his arm, he speaks with an unwelcome charm, “despite having been the reason for your union, i’m sensing an air of hostility.”
“you did divulge his inner world in front of a room of nobility,” you speak up, whispering to xiao that the conversation may continue inside before confiscating his halberd and escaping to your chambers in an attempt to avoid a bloody confrontation that would end with venti on a stick.

Hello again! It's the anon who sent in the self-aware Volo ask. Here's a little dabble with Self-aware Ingo because I'm biased. :D
Another shiver. Ingo always shivered as he watched from behind the player's screen, as if the growing static shot up his spine. Watching as they went about their daily life outside his game. Observing as they fluttered to and fro within their home.
Gross. He felt so gross in his own flesh. Hating it when his body reacted so viciously at any reaction they gave him throught the day. Hated how a single smile shot bliss through his heart, or how tight his pants got when focused they'll become on any task they did. On the cusp of euphoria over what was just another boring day to them.
It felt wrong, oh so wrong. To watch them at their most vulnerable. To memorize their daily schedule to the point Ingo could recite it verbatim. Ingo cared, he truly did. He cared so much that it hurt him physically when he was willing to forsake their privacy just to get a little bit closer. To know them a little bit more.
Ingo froze. A rumble in the air caught his attention, he knew that sound. The sound of someone pushing the boundaries of the game to go where they don't belong. Ingo has done it countless times to watch the player's avatar out in the open fields. Someone else was messing around in the games code and it wasn't him.
The world around him fizzled out from around him. Going black and silent until he 'awoke' in his home within the mountains. Fear iced his blood as the one person was absent from their room. Despair clawed at his mind and heart, scaring his brused soul even more than it already was.
Thump.
Wait...
Thump.
Like a (cro)bat out of hell, Ingo ran. He ran down the mountain, past any person or pokemon in his path without care. Around Jubilife village, which has grown much smaller than he last remembered, down towards the beach. The beating of his heart growing louder as he got closer towards the shore.
There, sound asleep on the sand was his player.
Thump.
For once in a long, long time. Ingo felt a grin crawl onto his face.
AAAAAA
Yess! So good!
There is nothing to add here, perfection!

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022) Review
Tumblr media
Not going to lie, I do find myself feeling like a superior being when I manage to own a film merch item before it even becomes a film merch item. There’s a Nicolas Cage pillow case that is featured in this movie, and guess who already owns that piece of luxurious memorabilia and has done so for a while? This guy!! Does that make me a Nic Cage sycophant? Why yes, yes it does.
Plot: Unfulfilled and facing financial ruin, actor Nick Cage accepts a $1 million offer to attend a wealthy fan's birthday party. Things take a wildly unexpected turn when a CIA operative recruits Cage for an unusual mission. Taking on the role of a lifetime, he soon finds himself channelling his most iconic and beloved characters to save himself and his loved ones.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a movie that shouldn’t exist. Or more so it usually wouldn’t have, however Nicolas Cage is that unique actor that has gained such a strong following for his eccentric notions and expressionistic performances, and has such a vast filmography (over 100 no less) filled with performances both good and bad (yet all memorable might I add), so for Nic Cage to make a movie about himself playing himself seems like a very Nic Cage thing to do. Though the movie isn’t as meta as to be called Nicolas Cage’s Extraordinarily Self-Aware Comeback Movie, it does come close, however throughout all the references it does have a story of friendship and self-acceptance, whilst also being a wild attempt to bring back a style of an A-list-driven, thriller action blockbuster that has mostly migrated to streaming services like Netflix in the past decade. No shade towards Netflix though, as those folks don’t need anymore bad press right now. I mean, have you heard about their declining subscribers and stock fall? It ain’t looking good, that’s all I’m saying. Regardless, when it come The Unbearable Weight, this could have easily just been a big feature length joke on Nicolas Cage’s career, and, even though it technically is a big feature length joke on Nicolas Cage’s career, it’s an enjoyable romp and then some.
Right off the bat, what works in this movie? Obviously Nicolas Cage is great, and more so what I admire is how willing he is to be self aware of himself and poke fun at certain tropes that fans and the media have spoken about in regards to him. And it’s the fact how he fully throws himself into this, even bringing a character called Nicky to the screen in a few scenes who’s based on a younger Nicolas Cage from his Wild at Heart (1990) days. As one can imagine, this Nicky is indeed wild at heart. But also a major surprise is that Pedro Pascal manages to nearly steal show from Cage himself in a role that is just so damn delightful. You might be used to Pedro’s more serious cool held back demeanour as the Mandalorian, however get ready for a wide-smiled fan-girling happy and loveable Pedro! His bromance with Cage is such an entertaining thing to watch, as Pedro’s character near worships the actor Nic Cage, by even having a Christian Grey inspired private room dedicated to all things Nicolas Cage. And did I mention how loveable Pedro is in this movie? He’s so lovely and has the biggest grin throughout, and what I’m saying is if we don’t get an hour long featurette about Nic Cage and Pedro Pascal discussing and analysing Paddington 2, I might just riot! For those questioning the Paddington 2 reference, just see this movie I you will be enlightened.
My issue with the movie comes with it’s plot, pacing and action set pieces. The action is okay, but don’t expect anything on the level of John Wick smashing someone’s had with a book. The story is fairly generic, especially with the CIA-spy cartel infiltration sub-plot involving Tiffany Haddish and Ike Barinholtz, both of whom have proven themselves to be funny actors having even recently worked together on the AppleTV+ show The Afterparty, however here they are cuffed to these dull CIA operative roles, and outside of an amusing Croods 2 gag and an airport segment, their scenes felt as if the humour was forced. All the stuff with Nic Cage and Pedro Pascal was never forced, and even the meta references to Cage’s prior films always felt at home (references to Con Air, Face/Off, Gone in 60 Seconds, Mandy to name a few, there all in here!) , however the stuff with Haddish and Barinholtz always felt like the movie was trying too hard to make a joke when the set up just had no way of providing an entertaining enough punchline. Nic Cage also has a family in this movie, a wife and daughter, both of whom end up playing a bigger role than I expected them to, and not going to lie, I couldn’t care less about them. To be fair, besides Nic Cage and Pedro Pascal, all the other actors in this movie only exist so as to give this film and excuse to have a story. Like, Neil Patrick Harris is in this movie too? I think? I don’t even remember.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was one of my most anticipated movies of this year alongside Thor: Love & Thunder, and luckily for the most part it does not disappoint. In fact, Pedro Pascal is a surprising revelation and Nicolas Cage simply showcases why he is such a bonified icon and legend, and honestly I will hate the day when he announces retirement. However it seems like he’s still very much enjoying his acting career so hopefully that won’t be anytime soon. So check out The Unbearable Weight, it’s a jolly good time. And Paddington 2 apparently also.
Overall score: 7/10

Oh god that anon that mentioned Cronus making reader a fancy meal only for it to turn out burnt, raw, and inedible… what if Cronus actually had enough self awareness to realize the dish came out horrible and tries to pull a ‘Simpsons steamed hams’ on reader. Like Cro at first brags about making reader a delicious, authentic Alternia dish, burns the ever loving Christ out of it, runs to the closest McDonald’s and tries to pass the fast food off as authentic Alternia cooking,,, Cronus is dumb and does not fully realize how distinct and iconic the brands taste is on earth…he’s like, to himself: yeah, I can pull this off, I’ll just say I had to use earth meat and spices…reader mainly eats mushrooms and plants anyway I’m sure they’ve never even tried this small clown restaurant food before.
Then Cro remembers at the last minute that reader is like a vegan/(vegetarian?) and runs to A&W to get a plant based burger authentic Alternian plantbeast patty
Oh my god that's exactly how he would play it off hahaha
i haven't mentioned if reader in a vegetarian/vegan for the same reason i haven't provided a physical description or their religion they're meant to be someone who you can project yourself onto
That being said, because I'm not mentioning that, I'm also never going to write them as eating meat because again it's up to youre own interpretation. A shout-out to vegetarians and vegans reading it who feel uncomfortable with eating meat and even strict kosher and halal diets where meat has to be of a certain type that they can't always be sure of the source of unless they purchase it themselves (a few of my friends in college were Muslims who followed halal and ended up eating vegan/vegetarian meals in the dining halls and restaurants bc of those reasons)
So if you write a spin off or hc them as a meat eater that's chill but then eating meat is something i probably won't ever write in that myself for GEO or the offshoots for those reasons
Also the thought of Cronus trying to be mindful of dietary restrictions is one of the sweetest and cutest thing i could ever think of so thank you for giving me that mental image

Still Single / Heathen Disco 2020 End of Year Recap
I guess I’m back! I started gingerly dipping back over into Tumblr to publish some reviews as a means of cutting through all the bondage photos and anime screencaps and people still living on Tumblrs (shout out to anyone still Tumblin', it's alright). I also redoubled my efforts to do great radio shows, and that seems to bother some of you enough to unsubscribe, but I'm feeling great about all that. If you wanna hear those shows, you can go to Mixcloud and listen to your hearts' content. Those 5-6 reviews on here actually turned up worthwhile music in my PO box, so thanks to those who submitted.
This was gonna be the year I reintroduced myself to the world. Don't make plans like that. Things are a lot better now than I thought they'd be, and the time I burnt up on movies and self-reflection this year was probably more needed than another DJ gig or whatever. Radio sustained me, I will freely admit, and finding records out in the wild once shops reopened was really killer too.

In my traineeship that is normaly at a university I was sent to a Citizens Registration Office as an external place to work at. without me being asked or involved. The CRO that I am normally at is especially for trainees, but now I am being send to a normal one and I hate all of it. There are so many people. so much more than at the university and i feel like I am breaking apart. plus I got the diagnosis of avpd just recently and i have a hard time to accept it. (1/2)
Tumblr media
Not oversharing at all! I'm really sorry your in that position with your work. I hope it's a temporary thing and that you can have more control over where you work in the near future, but of course I don't know your situation. If it's not temporary, I'd say don't be too afraid to look at other options for work.
I remember one time I was working a job where every few years the company would send you to a new location, and after four years of being in a very laid back, understanding workplace, I was sent to one that was very much the opposite. I'm sure my avpd contributed to me losing my job a few months later (the main reason was developing chronic illness)
It's easy to feel hopeless in a time like this. Especially when you don't have any prospects for satisfying social relationships, but no matter how long it takes, it's never going to become impossible. In my experience, those of us with avpd who are very self aware of our diagnosis and what it means go on to have much better relationships the more we accept our PD and social limitations. I don't know if my personal experience or opinion helps you at all, but I think teenage years and early 20s are the worst parts of many peoples' lives. They certainly were for me. I was 30 before I really had a grasp on how to make and keep friends, so that's why I stress that people should keep trying and not give up. And also don't befriend/date people who make you miserable because you think you can't do better--you can and keeping space in your life for people who really understand and value you is important. And most people with avpd only need a few close relationships to feel socially fulfilled, so odds are, somewhere along the years, you'll find those people.
Good luck, I wish you the best, anon!

Related to your last post, I think 6. Touch-starved with Necro or HT sans would be cool to see:)
Just like the other prompts I've done, this is a bit longer than expected and it took a bit of a turn. I dunno if this really even truly counts as being touch starved or angsty, but I tried, honest to god
-
It was a fairly normal day. Ink had dragged Dream and Blue with him to the necromancer's house, where Fresh had already made himself at home, stretched out on the living room couch with a box of Fruit Loops and a juice box. It'd taken Necro what felt like an eternity to get used to Fresh's random, out of the blue visits, but now that they were on good, peaceful terms, the necromancer made a habit of keeping his fridge and cupboards stocked, already well aware that Fresh would be liable to eat him out of house and home if he didn't.
Blue was almost immediately hauled to Lucky's room by the child in question, who was more than happy to see his puzzle buddy. The two often worked on not just puzzles, but also trap designs together. With their obnoxiously high energy level, sometimes they even rushed outside to the backyard, to construct whichever trap had their attention at the moment. Ink was currently in the process of pestering Mal, who attempted to sequester herself in her room to be alone. As expected, she wasn't too thrilled about Ink's presence in her home. Not outwardly, at least.
Everything was going as well as one could hope, given who all was involved.
And then Fresh decided to join Ink in bothering Mal, who was still in her room. There was some conversation between the two men in the hall for a moment, before Fresh's true self, a small purple parasite of sorts, left his host body, and with Ink's consent, "borrowed" his. The doorknob was snapped off Mal's bedroom door with ease, and with a gentle nudge of the door itself, the frightening new entity known as Fresh!Ink invited himself into the teens room, earning a terrified and startled shriek from her in response.
Zerif had been watching from around the corner, and upon hearing Mal scream, he merely shook his head and used his hand to muffle a soft laugh. He knew Mal was in no real danger, so the appearance of Fresh!Ink wasn't one that concerned him too much. Necro, from his seat on the end cushion of the couch, called out to Zerif in that all too familiar monotone voice of his, "What's going on, Zerif?" Looking to his partner, Zerif waved off whatever concern the necromancer may possibly be harbouring, making his way to the couch and plopping down beside him, "Nothing, love. One resident heathen just decided to terrorize another, is all."
Necro relaxed minutely, only to tense up again as Zerif delicately looped an arm around his waist and tugged him closer, pressing a gentle kiss to his temple. Feeling his boyfriend grow tense, Zerif arched a brow bone and hummed lowly, "You ok, babe? You're pretty tense." Hearing the pet name be used in reference to himself, a faint purple blush dusted across the necromancer's cheekbones and he cleared his throat, "Yeah, of course I'm alright." Zerif eyed him suspiciously for a moment before tilting his head, "You know... You're cute and I love you, but I'm not sure that I'm buying that. You wanna tell me what's going on in your head, 'Cro?"
Necro shrugged, unsure what to say in response. His brow bones were knit, giving him a look of confusion. Normally he showed little to no emotion at all, and Zerif sighed softly; whatever was bothering him must be pretty significant, if it was capable of making him form any sort of expression like this.
Without any form of a warning, Necro was tugged into the undertaker's lap, and from there, lifted into his arms as he stood. As he began to head for the necromancer's office, Necro looked around, instinctively wrapping his arms around Zerif's neck vertebrae and mumbling, "What are you...?" Zerif briefly glanced at him and hummed, "We need to talk, Necro." Oh. So he was addressing Necro by his full name now. That was new.
Necro nodded, falling silent. Once they reached the office, the necromancer began to squirm; knowing full well what he wanted, Zerif gently setting him down and turning to close the door behind himself. Turning to fully face Zerif, Necro neatly folded his arms behind his back and arched a single brow bone, "What's this about, Zerif?" The undertaker sighed, his normally playful expression now oozing concern, "This is about you, Necro. I'm worried. Did I do something wrong?" Necro tilted his head, confusion briefly flickering on his face, "...What makes you think you did something wrong?"
The undertaker shook his head, absentmindly rubbing the back of his neck, "You've just... been a little distant lately, I guess. You wiggle and want away from me when I try to cuddle up to you, or even just hug you. I can't touch you either, because you always get really tense and seem kinda on edge."
Oh. That.
Necro opened his mouth to respond, seeming to freeze in place when no words came out. His gaze fell to the floor as he slowly shut his mouth again, frowning to himself. It was silent for a moment as Zerif quietly watched his boyfriend, trying his best to analyze his behavior. Breaking the silence, the undertaker lowered his voice to a mumble, "... Is it something I said or did?... Please tell me so I can try to fix it." Necro shook his head, remaining silent.
Zerif's mind reeled as he searched for another explanation, his tone uncertain, "Did you... have to go somewhere upsetting, just recently?" Necro hesitated for a few seconds before slowly nodding, his monotone voice unusually faint, "Yes." Zerif blinked, doing his best to process the new information. Not a lot was upsetting to Necro anymore, so it must've been something pretty big and significant. He spoke reluctantly, taking a careful, slow step toward his love, "Was it something to do with him?..." Necro's eye lights very briefly flickered up to Zerif's face before refocusing elsewhere again, as he nodded hesitantly.
The younger of the two watched him sympathetically, still frowning, "Oh... I'm so sorry. I didn't know. Is there anything I can do to help, by any chance?" Necro was silent, clearly hesitating as he took a tiny step toward his partner. He reached out, stopping just short of taking Zerif's hand, and Zerif murmured, "Necro?... What is it?..."
The shorter skeleton avoided his gaze for what was a brief eternity, before slowly lifting it. Though his expression was still mostly blank, there was something in his gaze that pleaded with Zerif. Zerif no longer needed anymore verbal cues, instinctively stepping closer and wrapping his arms around the necromancer, holding him close to himself and pressing his teeth to the top of his skull and whispering, "It's ok.... You're ok. I'm here now. I'll always be here too, I promise."
