David Tennant dancing on the set of The Giggle - Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Specials
The Doctor doesn't even dance in the UNIT scene - this is all pure, joyous David Tennant
also featuring Neil Patrick Harris, Ncuti Gatwa, and Ruth Madeley (who are all glorious)

David Tennant watching in horror as Neil Patrick Harris causes chaos while lip syncing to Spice Up Your Life wasn’t on my 2023 bingo card but holy stars and planets above, it totally should have been.

At first I thought the Toymaker’s “too many teeth” reveal was meant to be an uncanny valley effect; a personification of something that isn’t human pretending to be human. Like an AI image that doesn’t wholly complete its replica of a person, despite its efforts. And maybe that truly is what it’s meant to be for us.
But then I remembered that The Master became one of these teeth by LOSING A GAME to the Toymaker. This carries the implication that the Toymaker may have Too Many Teeth because his mouth is full of TROPHIES OF HIS DEFEATED ENEMIES.

the toymaker disseminated a memetic virus among doctor who fans because now there is no way anybody will ever be able to mention the fact that a companion is technically dead-not-dead without somebody piping up with the WELL THAT’S ALRIGHT THEN! and getting twice as many likes. the above thread had nothing to do with the giggle even
i even noticed people applying it to irl contexts. i.e. “young people aren’t facing homelessness en masse, they just have to choose between living at their parents’ house or on the streets. oh well that’s alright then!” stock phrase for the AGES fr. thank you neil patrick harris
