You've failed again and would you be surprised it's not the first time you have failed.

It might have been the sixth, but you have lost count when your writings could fill ten books worth. You look at the scrolls limply hanging off your desk, the textbooks pilling so high they create a safety hazard of 'homicide by books'.

It's not right. It's not correct. It's not factual. It's not accurate. That's all they say, when they dismiss you with a wave of their hand and close the doors in front of sleepless eyes.

You want to scream, because it's not fucking accurate when a measly academia scholar like yourself cannot even read non-biased readings that do not have the author as Great Sage.

You needed something to take your mind off this.

You needed a break.

"You want to write a fantasy novel?" Aether comments munching on a stick of grilled meat. He looked off put by your comment as his companion Paimon speaks up, "Paimon doesn't understand how more writing is taking a break from writing?"

"It's a break because I can enjoy myself! No need to look at which theory makes more sense than the old. No more citing ancient sages that lived hundreds of years ago that are outdated. A good old fantasy."

Aether rolls his eyes, "And what defines 'good old fantasy'?"

Your eyes shine as you point directly at him. He scoffs as he tries another vendor's dish, "I mean- You have fought literal gods right! Or at least people tell me you have fought monsters that are as strong as gods!" You pause as you comment on your own delusions, "Well- I'm not sure how strong a god is, but it sounds impressive."

Aether is about to stop you as you continue, "Oh! Oh, what about the time you slayed a dragon? That sounds super interesting."

He groans in a way that you sense is that every time someone mentions the words 'dragon', that he must correct them, "For the last time. We didn't 'slay' it. We purified the crystal that made Dvalin sick."

"...So, your saying saved a kingdom from dark magic and that is not fantastical enough!"

You slam a couple mora onto the next vendor as Aether finished his latest dish. Sure, that money was for the breakfast, lunch and dinner for the next two days but what could be better than breathing, live, material!

You plead, "Please! One story, any story! I need something to jump start my brain that is not a library book."

Aether looks up the sky longingly you would narrate it as a 'take me now' moment; but surely not from you.

"Any story?"

You beam nodding as Aether reluctantly says yes.

"So that's the story. Sorry about this but I need to be back in Liyue by tomorrow and knowing (Y/N), she can um- be a lot."

You can't understand the rest of the sentence, but you see Aether talking to a smaller girl with leaves in her hair and flowers that bloomed around her.

At least that is what you say, but behind the boy with a large hat covering his head wore a frown as you could see each flower wilting- dead on the floor fictitiously.

What a buzzkill.

The girl, Nahida is what Aether calls her and she reminds you of sunshine that warms your heart. She smiles as she gives a small wave to you. As she does the boy behind her taps his foot frown never leaving his face.

"I see." And there is an ethereal ring in the small girl’s voice, "Leave it to us, please give the people of Liyue and the him our regards."

"Huh! Us?" A voice speaks at the same time. It was the boy with short purple hair dressed in flowing clothes different than your own. He looked like the wind would parachute him away at any second.

Aether sensing the shift whispered goodbye to you, leaving the room with the small girl and the frowning boy.

The girl speaks up first, "Aether told us of your 'predicament'? She questions because, no, writing a fantasy novel isn't considered a predicament more than getting a thorn stuck in your thumb; compared to how the academia cranks out automatous, encyclopedias of information that are used as the life blood of people’s lives, but in a sweets way she gives respect as she looks in your eyes.

Or so you thought.

"Therefore, he will help you!" And she points her thumb behind her to a balking boy who stomps his foot down. You could have sworn you felt the ground shaking, but that was probably his attitude.

"Wha- I refuse! There is no way I will be helping that baboon." And ouch, because words do hurt but if he had any sense of social norms and could read the room he would not continue. But he did, "You expect me to become one of those mediocre story tellers on the street?"

You glower as you gather any confidence you have in your work, "How dare you. Stories keep people alive!" And he gives you a look as if you are the idiot in the room because stories don't technically keep you alive, but that didn't stop your ramble," They let us share emotional connection with one each other as we can obtain a deeper understanding of people!" Don't say it, remember your manners, “and someone like you that has the emotional capability of a doormat wouldn't understand that!"

You wince as you see the boy’s brow raise underneath his ridiculously large hat, his mouth snarling as he cracks his fingers. It felt like the air was being sucked out of the room.

"Oh, really now?" It sounds like a threat the way his tone bleeds with irritation, "Let’s see who's the doormat once I-"

Nahida, gently places a hand on top of his and the air returns to normal. You let out a gasp that you did not feel you were holding as her voice rings out, "Now children, that's not how to treat each other."

She looks stern? Like a mother that is discipling her child by the way his face writhes into reluctance. She gives you a harsh stare that makes you feel like your own mother is chiding you, "Now, people who ask for favors can't start fighting with the asked. Can they?"

You look down at the floor, digging your heel in, properly chastised, "No... they can't."

She turns to the boy behind, "And people who invite guests into their home..."

He looks reluctant as if this wasn't his first time finishing her sentence, "don't blast them away..."

Blast them away?‌ And you think the right answer should be 'threaten, cause bodily harm, or even joke about causing bodily harm' but the small girl looks content either way.

"Now to start good relationships, we shake hands!" She clasps her hands together smiling.

Neither of you move.

"I rather not take my chances."

"I rather put my hand in boiling water."

Oh yes, this will be wonderful...

You sit down on a bench overlooking the landscape of Sumeru. It was beautiful the way the bustling of the city created a divide between the ethereal beauty of the nature itself to the bustling city life that coexisted with it.

Now that's beautifully said. Wait- but you used the word "beautiful" at least three, not four times now. What could you use instead?

You were about to dive deeper into your thoughts before a voice interrupted.

"Hey baboon!" A voice calls in which you wish was with endearment, because at least that be cuter than plain degrading. The boy pushes a plate of sticky rice plated with different types of fresh fruit, covered with syrupy goodness, "This is disgusting."

He's been doing this a while now, ever since Nahida kicked you two both out of the house with a couple of mora to keep you both full (how nice of her). She commented on 'sharing experiences with one each other', leading you to buy your favorite dessert as an olive branch.

You see the way her pushes the plate off towards the side of the table, "Hey that's my favorite dessert you know!"

And he scoffs folding his hands across his chest, leaning against the chair, "You have the tastebuds of a child then." And of course he continues, because goddamnit he does not know when enough is enough, "Oh- I forgot you are a child trying to create a kid's book."

You don't know which is worse. You going back to your small apartment to keep writing a bleeding thesis paper or you having to deal with this punk.

You take a breath in, you strive for peace, "Well. Then what's your favorite food?"

He rolls his eyes, "I don't have a favorite food."

"Everyone has something they like." You counter because he is not getting off the hook.

He pauses before he replies in pure reluctance, "Tea. The more bitter the better."

Now you're folding your hands across your chest, mirroring him.

"Tea?" You deadpan, "That's not a food."

"Were you not listening? I said I had no favorite food."

This time you scoff, "Well then why don't you like sticky rice?"

"It's disgusting."

"That's not an answer!"

"It is an answer you complete and utterly useless-!"

A third voice, "Excuse me."

You both turn to a server that has seen better days in their effort to survive customer service industry. The man looks at you and then at him, "You need to leave unless you stop yelling at each other. There are others trying to enjoy the view."

You look behind him and indeed others do look frustrated with the boy and you. At least you can read the room before the boy in front of you could, he looked like he was about to argue, and it was an argument he would lose. Slamming a couple of mora with a quick sorry, you grab the boy by his sleeve running out leaving your mango sticky rice behind.

By the time you make it to the top of Sumeru you are huffing and puffing. Air feels like fire as you steady yourself on your kneecaps gasping. Next to you, the boy has every piece of flowing fabric in place, his face not even a drip of sweat upon it. In other words, he looks and probably is way healthier than you.

"How- huff aren't you- dying?" And you say it in a way the means 'how are you standing', 'why are you freakishly healthy' or in a comedic sort of way 'are you even human?'; but his jumps eyes wide as he retorts head up high, "Everyone can run at least that far."

You start to think about your counterparts in the academia and how even a mile run would make you want to never leave your room again, and then you rethink, because Aether is his 'friend?' and that blond hair boy is certainly the least normal boy you know but he might fall into the category of 'everyone' to your interviewee.

That gave you hope.

You sit at a rickety bench underneath tarp that give a nice shade in the sun, fanning your shirt to let air in between all your robes. You notice him standing off to the side, like a cat waiting to be beckoned and that almost makes this time bearably. He must have surrendered, because he sees you eyeing him then the chair across from you and he sit down right on the edge.

"So", you start once you’re sure you can say a whole sentence without wheezing, "I know- that maybe, we got off on the wrong foot," and he opens his mouth for another (probably insensitive) comment and you talk quicker, "but I'm ready to listen to any story you have to share!" There quick and simple.

He closes his mouth, the thin line never shifting in his lips before he huffed, "I don't have a story for you."

And all common courtesy went out the window as you breathe in and out, peace! Peace you say! "Everyone has a story." A twinge of sass, "Like how everyone has a favorite food."

"Fine. I'll be more clear. I have no "fantasy" story that you will want to write."

And you blink, that was not the response you were expecting. You feel the academic spirit ignited in you as you prod for more information, "What do you mean by that?"

He's thinking and you can see thunder clouds brewing in his purple eyes as he clenches his teeth, "You want those dumb fairy tales where idiotic princes go save a damsel huh? Someone who saves you no matter what even though there is no one there!" You describe it as lightning engulfing his eyes as it leaks out with every enunciation in his words. You can feel the hair at the bottom of your neck standing up, "How stupid you all are."

A moment of thought, "Well, if you put it that way it is pretty stupid."

His face contorts in a way that you wonder if your face muscles can do that as well, "Huh?!"

"Yah!" You twiddle you fingers as if trying to connect the dots, "I never said I wanted to write a classic fantasy story! Who gets to say what I will write?" You stand up renewed energy as the cogs move in your mind, "I'm writing this because I want to! Stories are meant to connect us and if I can't hear your story then how the hell am I even supposed to know what to write?"

You don't let him even start. His mouth agape.

"You're right I may be an idiot I will admit. I can't even pass a stupid thesis paper because I am too focused on the fact that every paper I have used as reference sucks the living life out of me faster than I can even graduate." You point a finger towards him, your index finger almost touching his nose and he is spluters, "But Im not an idiot when it comes to sharing others stories."

When you're sure he's not going to start on another rampant of the insipid state of his world you say one last thing. A perfect conclusion.

"We haven't formally introduced ourselves."

His brows furrow, "Ha- I know your name!" He says in a loud voice, but there is less venom this time.

You shake your head, giving little tuts of disappointment, "No silly" he preens at the word but it's payback for him calling you a baboon, "I don't know your name."

The boy eyes cross towards your fingertips as he slaps your hands away, "Get your hand out of my face." You can tell he is thinking.

He gives a sigh, before mulling over the possibility of only one-story telling night vs. a determined author who will bang on his door every day until she gets what she wants. At least that's what you believe he is thinking of.

"You can call me..."

His voice becomes muffled under his hat, and you ask him to repeat again. His violet eyes dart to the side darkening, like saying his name is sooo difficult.

".... hat guy"

You swear your ears misheard him underneath that large hat he wears as his voice projects to the ground, "Sorry, say that one more time?"

"...Hat...Guy"

This time you blink in incredulous response, "Hat guy?" You give him time to at least say a semblance of a normal name, but he is quiet, hands folded over his chest as his final answer, "Really? Hat guy?"

You throw your hands up, "I thought we were getting somewhere! Like I was trying to open up to you about the whole story thing!" Your hands lower in apocryphal delusion, "Hat guy... what type of parent names them hat guy?"

It's so ridiculous that you start laughing.

"Stop laughing! You're looking more like a baboon than before." A sharp comment breaks you out of breath as you hunch your sides.

You wipe a nonexistence tear from you tear ducts as you look at him. A faint mellow glow is left on his cheekbones- the only word you can use to describe the reaction is embarrassment.

Or anger. Probably anger.

The fleetingness of absurdity leaves you as the last hiccup escapes your lips, he looks like a cat that had water poured on him, "Sorry, sorry! I'll be serious now. Nice to meet you pft Hat Guy!" A guffaw escapes again and this time you have to stop because it looks like he's ready to punch your lights out.

You slip next to him, his face a contorting to annoyance. Pulling out a small journal, that has seen better days, kept in the back of your satchel you find a pen. Clicking the pen as you flip to an open page.

"So. Where do you want to start?"

"Wow (Y/N) you really..." Aether pauses finding the words, "stuck to the facts?" He finishes handing the rest of the paper to Paimon struggling to hold the rest of the pages in her tiny hands.

Paimon struggles to flip through the pages, squinting at the words on the page her eyes flicking to the violet haired boy in the back, "Yeah! Who knew that he was a prince of a continent who was known for dragon slaying? Then went on a thousand-year-old journey to find a piece of paper that hold the secret of a war from a long long LONG time ago...?" Even Paimon was awestruck by your story telling.

You puff up your chest in pride, "Well, the dragon slaying idea had come from you Aether. Gotta switch it around sometimes you know?" And you can see Aether facepalm his face mumbling something that's not worth the effort to narrate.

You turn toward Nahida and the boy of inspiration, "So! How do you like the first draft? I’m thinking of adding more details and vocabulary but all and all pretty good right!"

The girl, Nahida tilts her head in wonder, "I had no idea your story was so rich." She holds a secret behind her smile as she looks up towards the boy who hasn't said a word about the manuscript, "Truly, this has been an enlightening experience."

You nod rapidly, she always knew what to say to lift your spirits. You hop over to "hat guy" as he is staring blankly at your hard work. You give a small poke, and he jerks violet eyes catching yours.

"How is it?" You tilt your head to fit underneath his hat as you point towards a paragraph that has to do with the boy falling out of his kingdom in the first act, "Pretty accurate right? I tried combining multiple classic fantasy stories to create this, like you said."

He doesn't push you away, nor does he voice any acrimony. He does look at you like an adult would look at a child who made a mess of their kitchen before presenting equally a mess of a cake that people have to coo at because- it's a child's cake. Inedible, sloppy cute and the worst part- burnt on one side and raw on the other, but nonetheless a product of hard work made by a child.

Though this could be your imagination but notice him open his mouth after deliberating his thoughts. He decisively says in full confidence:

"I see why you haven't graduated."

So... I'm having Dainsleif brainrot once more. (I'm counting the days to the next quest now.)

I'd like to leave this little theory titbit here...

You know how Hoyo takes quite a bit of inspiration from Norse Mythology and a Norse Poem - a bit more specifically from an opera version from Richard Wagner, "Der Ring des Nibelungen". TL:DR, It's about a dawrf called Alberich from the Nibelungen and his treasure the Rhine Gold. The Gold is forged into a Ring that grands the bearer the power of ruling the land - the Ring gets stolen by the gods and out of spite, Alberich curses the Ring.

Now for tinfoil hat time... and Genshin Lore.

So, from Apep we learn the Nibelung left Teyvat in search for the Key to victory against the Primordial One, came back to Teyvat... aka. Descended to Teyvat with forbidden knowledge. So he and the sovereigns waged war, lost and died. - Apep said, with the right to shape the lands, the primordial one sent down the divine nails.

This is where the ring part comes in handy, because Zurvan during the Khvarena of Good and Evil world quest mentions that when she found Dainsleif in Tunigi Hollow, fighting off Abyss Monsters, he was tightly holding a ring.

Which has me think that the ring Dain is so tightly holding onto might be coming from Nibelung and/or directly from beyond Teyvat.

We will defy this world with a power from beyond.

Now I'm thinking, that said ring is some sort of physical representation of said right to shape the land, much like it is in the Opera that went from Nibelung's hold to the Primordial One, but got corrupted by the Forbidden Knowledge he brought as some sort of Genshin's version of the curse Alberich put on the Ring when it was stolen by gods.

Dainsleif's constellation is "Snake Ring" and think snake and dragon are somewhat interchangable here; Apep for example looked more Snake-like, rather than Dragon-Like. like Dvalin or Durin, perhaps Nibelung did too.

I am now wondering if Khaenri'ah somehow got the ring "back" not knowing it was corrupted, therefore triggered the surge of Abyss Monsters and the Cataclysm itself. - Also possibly by the Sustainer looked corrupted and seems to be dormant for the last 500 years, even if one of her Archons is actively plotting against her and the other 6 being seemingly on board, even if Ei technically committed the same sin as Egeria by creating human-shaped life in form of Scaramouche, even if Focalors just destroyed one of the Divine thrones AND returned the Gnosis' authority to it's rightful owner. Just because she technically doesn't have the right to rule and shape the land anymore.

And the ring is now in Dainsleif's hands since, slowly corrupting him too and granting him whatever element he uses. And that he is, or well, holds the key to the endgame with that refering back to defying this world with a power from beyond - because he himself has learned to control and resist it. (Unless he's refering to the Traveler as the power from beyond.)

I do find it very interesting at how the Mondstadt Archon Quest is called a prologue. Especially since, of the two main enemy factions in Genshin – the Fatui and the Abyss Order – it’s the only non-Traveller Archon Quest to primarily focus on the second of the two, and not really focus on the first.

Obviously there were other things going on in the other nations, it would be reductive to ignore that. But if we look at them:

Liyue: Plot revolves around Childe awakening Osial and almost destroying Liyue Harbour, in addition to featuring him very prominently. Zhongli’s choice to live as a human is very important to the plot too, but ultimately the climax and danger is due to the actions of the Fatui. The Abyss Order isn’t present at all.

Inazuma: Slightly less prominent here, since most of the problems were already being caused by Ei and the Shogun Puppet. However, the Fatui were manufacturing Delusions and deliberately trying to destabilise Inazuma, and Signora was also acting as a ‘diplomat’ to help this. They didn’t cause the problem, but they deliberately heightened it, and were featured quite majorly in the quest overall. The Abyss Order isn’t present at all.

Sumeru: Plot largely revolves around the Akademiya trying to create a new god, which was largely due to Dottore’s presence and actions. Additionally, the new god was Scaramouche, but his story wasn’t really treated as a ‘Fatui’ storyline (ie it was much more driven by his personal goals than the Fatui’s, he’s acting as a character not representative of the organisation) so I’m not sure how important that is – but it is still a big part of the Archon Quest. The Abyss Order isn’t present at all.

There’s a clear pattern of antagonists here – in the region quests, it’s the Fatui that are the problem. The Abyss storyline is mainly left to the Traveller acts of the quest with Dainslief.

Meanwhile, in Mondstadt? The Fatui hardly play a role at all. The plot revolves around Dvalin’s corruption, which was solely due to the plans of the Abyss Order – the Fatui had nothing to do with it. There were also threats due to Hilichurls getting closer and closer to the city, and an attack while the Traveller was fighting Dvalin, also due to the Abyss Order and nobody else. Yes, the Fatui were taking advantage of it and trying to use it to diplomatically threaten Mondstadt, but that’s something mentioned more off-handedly, not something the Traveller needs to resolve or get involved in, and it’s solved off-screen (and as majorly as a consequence of un-corrupting Dvalin). Yes, Signora took Venti’s Gnosis, but that very much happens after the main conflict is resolved, and the plot of the quest itself would have been exactly the same without it – its only significance is for future events. And nearly every storyline in Mondstadt is like that – not having ties to the Fatui, but the Abyss. Even Diluc’s Story Quest, unrelated to the main storyline, is about threats from the Abyss Order to the city, when it could have easily been about the Fatui as well. They’re a major presence to the characters there, but not the story Genshin is interested in telling.

If the Fatui were the main antagonists of the game, showing up majorly in every quest since, you’d expect them to be introduced as the main threat from the very beginning, right? Or, if the Abyss Order were such a big threat, surely they’d play a big role in other nations? At least in Sumeru, which was very close to Khaenri’ah, connected with the literal tree of all knowledge (something which you’d expect the Abyss Order, all about revealing “the truth of this world”, to be interested in), and where the Abyss Order’s founder first encountered The Sinner which would prompt him to start it in the first place?

...But here’s the thing. The Fatui are introduced as the main antagonists in the beginning of the story. In Chapter One of the story, the one the nation Archon Quests are interested in telling.

The Mondstadt Archon Quest isn’t Chapter One because apart from the very end, it’s not part of that story. It’s not about solving the troubles of Mondstadt as a nation, it’s not about chronicling the actions and effects of the Fatui, and it’s not setting any of that up, either. Instead, it introduces us to the Abyss, it gives attention to the Hilichurls, it even gives us as a player information our sibling, despite the Traveller themselves not knowing that. It’s not a prologue to the quest line the rest of the nations are following, it’s a prologue to Act I Chapter IV and the rest of the Traveller chapters.

That’s why it’s so set apart from the rest.

Always nice to see another Tarnished; I tried to keep myself away due to my horrible internet that likes to work only when it wants to but, alas, with two certain bosses I had to xd

Goes to show that even if my cringe is free from judgement, I still need to have help I guess ;-;

As for Lumine...

Admittedly I have three differing ideas for her. I will have to send them in separate messages but here is the first one.

The first being: Eldritch/Cosmic being Lumine. With her being somewhat based on the Elden Beast.

P.S. Also I am going to put the read more link below this because holy shit this wound up being longer than I thought it would be lol.

Not quite a god, but certainly a being removed from mortal comprehension and existence. The human form we see is merely the equivalent of a porcelain shell, designed to protect her more vulnerable, yet also more powerful, true form, something she would kill to keep secret.

She is less interested in the politics of Teyvat and more in regaining her power and either finding Aether and beating him into a coma for abandoning her, or departing the world and returning at full power to settle her score with Asmoday.

She does not go out of her way to attack the Fatui, something that will be a re-occuring theme amidst these ideas, and even offers to aid them in exchange for their help in regaining her powers.

She is also considerably more ruthless than in canon, her battle with Dvalin almost ending in her killing the dragon over the skies of Mondstadt until Venti removes his power out of fear for his friends life. Her clash with Childe ends with Dottore having to perform surgery to reattach the youngest harbingers arms and repair his damaged organs, after Signora grabs him and bails after he staggers into the bank half dead after she gets the gnosis.

Her clash with Osial ends with her attempting to drain the god's power to fuel her own return to full strength, something which is only adverted when Osial removes one of his own heads to stop her from draining him into nothing before he is hit with the Jade Chamber.

As for Inazuma...That is the point where her patience reaches its limit.

Her first meeting with the Shogun end with her vessel being damaged and her being forced to flee, anger and humiliation that a mere doll managed to injure one of her kind swelling within her veins to match the disgust at the blatant attempts at emotional manipulation done to sway her to the rebels side.

But one does not live for eons without learning when to hold their tongue and blade, and so she smiles and joins Sangonomiya's rebellion, waiting...waiting, until she waits no more.

The delusion factory, the remains of gods and demons bent and warped into a power source...a power source she can drain.

Scaramouche barely escapes with his life, and Miko is likewise almost killed as the Starborn devours the power of the factory and at last manages to shatter some of the seals upon her own power, her smile widening as she obliterates the area before ascending, wings of nebulae and galaxies at her back as she gazes upon Inazuma.

Madness and rage swirl within her, the lingering malice of the delusions clouding her mind and amplifying her own rage towards this land and its people, who have dared to humiliate her so, as she calls forth her power and descends.

Kujou Sara staggers into the Shogun's chamber, drenched in blood. Her bow clatters to the ground as the Anemo Boxer holding her up staggers to his knee, blood leaking from both a gash on his side and his lips as he looks at the startled face of both his lady and the Shogun with dread.

The Tengu general manages to stammer out these words-

"...Encampment...destroyed...only...survivors...Monster...coming..."

Before she fades into unconsciousness, the last thing she hears being her Shogun call out her name as explosions begin to rock Inazuma.

From on high the winged being watches as rifts and tears into the cosmos form, meteors and asteroids pouring from them and laying waste to not only the harbor of Ritou, but to the city itself.

Her smile widens as she sees the resistance soldiers, consumed by madness and mania due to her aura having enveloped them, running rampant, maiming and butchering and mutilating to their hearts content.

Faintly she hears Paimon begging her to stop, but she ignores her, her gaze now fixed upon that loathsome Island in the sky as she reaches up a hand to part the heavens and summon forth-

A lightning bolt strikes her hand.

A snarl of rage leaves her lips as he turns to the Shogun, summoning twin greatblades to her hand as she surges forward to at last settle their score.

The battle is vicious, and even within the Plane of Euthymia, Ei is pushed to her limits, divine blood staining the sands as she struggles against her merciless foe.

Eventually she managwes to deal what should be a fatal blow, the Musou no Hitachi tearing a path straight across the Starborn's chest and sending her flyting into the distance.

Yet just as Ei takes a deep breath, she feels the air grow dense.

The sound of shattering pottery fills the silent realm as Lumine begins to rise to her feet only to stagger forward, her form breaking apart like a fallen vase and revealing not but an ever growing stain of darkness that soon envelops the remains and much of the surrounding land, pulling them into stygian depths.

From the depths emerges an arm, stygian in color for but the briefest of moment before light swells and dances within it, stars and galaxies of colors known and unknown forming within the endless expanse of darkness as the limb pulls out of a double Helix shaped blade, the light of the cosmos seeping from it.

With the arm their comes a body, female in form, yet devoid of all other features save for the swirling galaxies and cosmos within, that is until twin orbs open, blazing with the light of twin stars as wisps of comet trail form under a galactic veil upon the beings head.

Above them forms a halo of asteroids and meteors and comets, swirling and dancing amidst a field of stars, a black hole posed at the center and yet not devouring them as it should.

The being rises without legs, it's body seeming to end in the ever growing stain as tendrils and additional limbs rise from the morass as the command of the Starborn.

"You crave eternity...then behold the eternity of the cosmos."

Comes forth a voice that echoes from all directions, light and wispy, yet dark and crushing as well.

Desperation fuels the following battle, even the Shogun is barely able to match the monster she faces, one arm lost and an eye carved out as she is flung to and fro by the being.

Electro meets the blazing Cosmos as the heavens are rent and the plane of Euthymia falls away to reveal a burning city, the two titans continuing a duel that spans the length of the island and then some.

Mountains fall, and canyons are carved, the heavens are rent and reforged a dozen times over as they clash without respite or hesitation until, at last.

The Starborn seizes the Shogun and casts her down into the ground before the Statue of the Omnipresent Goddess, smiling as she rears back her arm to deal the deat-

An arrow slams into her stomach.

A snarl of rage tears from her lips even as agony assails her senses as she turns to regard the one that dared to strike at her.

Ebony wings are unfurled, bandages yet being soaked crimson as muscles and wounds are pulled to tight, as a general stands defiant to protect her goddess from the being that looms above them.

Stalwart and loyal she steps forward to meet the being that looks upon her in confusion and disbelief, though there is something else that likewise burns within those orbs, a faint hint of...respect as she descends to meet her foe.

Desperately the Shogun reaches out for her general, only to see her vision fade in and out as the two clash, the injured Tengu matching the beast as she sheds her human form and brings forth the full extent of her cursed blood, though even that falls short.

Two blades tear through her stomach as she is lifted into the air before being flung across the city and into the ground, the Starborn actually panting in exertion from the effort of the battle before she turns to-

A scream fills the air.

Lightning writhes and dances the Tengu forces herself to her feet, a hand holding her entrails in her as she does so.

"I...will...not...let...you...hurt...her!"

A roar of lightning descends as a Vision shatters, wings of ebony feathers now burning with violet electro as a bow of lightning forms within the Tengu's hands.

Apotheosis. Ascension into godhood, and all done in the name of loyalty.

The Starborn feels her respect match her anger as she calls forth her own power once more to meet the newly born god in a battle that shakes the island again.

Her victory is certain, yet still she admires the being that fights against her with such fervor and fury that she can feel corruptive power of the delusions and the bloodcraze it brought upon her fade away from her midn as she fights for her life against the being before her.

At last their battle ends, the Starborn wounded and yet still living, her blade raised to deal a death blow before...she stops.

"What is your name?" She asks the panting Tengu, who looks up at her and responds.

"Kujou Sara."

"The name of a clan of cowards who tried to leave you to die does not fit you, noble one." Comes her swirling voice as she sets the Tengu down.

"Let it be known that I, Lumine of the StarBorn, hearby dub you the 'Storm Born' of Inazuma for your birth into your new childhood came from the storm of rage and loyalty within you."

With that said the Starborn turns to look at the Shogun, who has been aided to her feet by a fearful Ayaka and weary Kokomi as they look upon the being before them.

"A pity you were not made Shogun of these lands, a far better job than this witless coward you would have done." The Star Born says as she delicately brushes aside a blood soaked lock of hair from the Tengu's face, watching as the new born god falls into slumber but a moment later.

"Now then," She turns to the Shogun and her fellows, "Shall we discuss the terms of your surrender child?"

Well, what do you think?

I like the idea of Lumine being a more eldritch or cosmic being, and her taking the civil war a bit more seriously and this was the result.

Another version of this idea has her being soulmates with all of the women in Teyvat, well more like the central pillar of a vast soul bound polycule whose arrival triggers its forming, and her being brought to a mortal level was a few members of Celestia's bid to use her to unite the world against the Abyss.

The bond only becomes known when her true form is revealed and the soul marks are made apparent, needless to say it leads to all sorts of chaos lol.

Hey! Thank you so much! This is my first time doing a reversed AU, and I wasnt there during the first part of Genshin (i started around the first Lantern Rite), so Scara's and Albedo's may be a bit shitty, but I hope you like it!

It was intriguing, how could he not?

The beginning was normal, fun, exciting

Then they mentioned a chief alchemist somewhere along the way and his reaction was something like:

"Oh? A person of alchemy? This would be intriguing..."

He likes alchemy, after all

A few days — or had it been months? — had passed, and the new 1.2 update had been released, alongside a new area in Mondstadt called 'Dragonspine'

Lo and behold, the chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius had turned out to be the new 5 star character, Y/n!

He wasn't smitten at first, only interested

They had many similarities to him

They came home the first 30 pulls on their banner, and Albedo was elated!

After a while of doing the event (getting a bit mad at Reckless Pallad for being a damn idiot), he started enjoying and (though unknowingly) liking Y/n

You bet he finished the event just to get the sword to r5

He farmed their artifacts well and made them the best support ever, occasionally using them as a DPS too

The moment your sibling had been introduced, the first thing he thought of was how she was so similar to Klee, and how your relationship with her was similar to his and Klee's

Haha he wished for them too, got around 70 pity though

Talks to Klee about you and your sibling, and to no surprise, she likes you and your sibling too!

A bit sad about the death flags around your character, but he knows he can't do anything about it just yet

He smiles so fondly whenever you do the idle animation with the twig

When he found out you were an artist, he wss even more elated!

The little drunkard bard reminded him of one of his drunkard musician friends, and the brunette with the red bunny reminded him of one of his coworkers

Got to the point where you fly over Mondstadt chasing after Dvalin, and then he gets back to the ground and—

Oh? Who's this? Why do they make Kaeya's heart do the badump badump?

Swoons at your voice like holy shit

Was very happy you were a free character, but got very pissed that it meant you were not in any other banner, was so rare to get, and disliked being used by others in domain

Ok so what if Y/n is a free character? They deal 10k+ normal atk damage piss off >:/

Gives you the best build ever, for every type too

Pysical dmg dealer? 10k dmg. Cryo DPS? 20k DMG with a 60k crit.

When the Serenetea pot was released, he made an altar for you and put you in his bedroom :)

Insults your sibling

Why does your sibling remind him of Diluc?

Honestly I don't know what possessed him to play the game when it was released

Boredom? Curiosity? Was he being held at gunpoint?

Either way, he just skimmed through the beggining, boredly reading dialogue until the very first event happened

Wasn't very interested at first, didn't like the astrologist and was a bit annoyed by — how was her name spelled again?

You showed up a bit after, standing over a guy on the ground

The character seemed a bit normal at first, polite (which kind if irked him) so he completely ignored them

Yada, yada, yada, they're talking about astrology and the meteors and—

"Hi!"

There you are again.

"Sounds interesting... Mind if I join you?"

The astrologist quickly took the screen once again, brining the traveller and the princess away in a ball of hydro

Oh? How interesting...

As soon as they were gone, your façade dropped, revealing to him your true intentions

Oh, he was intrigued

Then their introduction was revealed

Y/n, huh? The 6th Fatui Harbinger?

Then your agents showed up, one of them stepped a bit out of line, declaring how they would make haste of a mission unassigned to them and—

"...Are you deaf or just stupid?"

That hit straight onto Scaramouche's heart

After the event, Scara just kept waiting for another reveal, but months and months past and you were no where in sight

Until the 2.0 update, at least

Inazuma, your nation of origin

Maybe he'd get lore about you

Purely plays the game for you now, waiting and waiting

When you finally show up in the quest, he's weak in the knees

Calls you his favourite menace to society

Always wonders, are you shorter than him?

I'm not entirely sure when he'd start playing, but it's before your first banner

Played the game because he found out Scaramouche liked a characer in it and wanted to diss on that character

He was a bit too late for their first appearance, but that's fine

He'll keep playing either way

He finally reached Liyue, where he arrives and there's alot of people around this lady

Aaaand there's the Geo Archon, falling from the sky, presumably dead

His mission was to sneak away, so he did just that, very skillfully

Finally reaching a cutscene, he stretched his limbs and watched

"Hey buddy— hold still."

Huh? Who was that? A new character?

They jumped up from the back of the stairway, hydro blades casting a rainbow effect to the screen as it met sun rays

They fought off the guards and holy shit—

That was— You were—

He's speechless

Continues the quest, and when Paimon mentiones something about doting on you, he's all like "YES"

You're rich? Ok, he would spoil you rotten, doesn't matter

His heart skips a beat at your laugh because it's so adorable like—

When your banner came out, he may or may not have whaled haha

Gives you the best artifacts, triple crowns you, you're always his main DPS

Y/n profile, Y/n namecard, "Hey buddy— hold still" signature, you name it

Cries at your deathflags because he won't let his skrunkly, his scrimblo, his lil bufoon die

I made the child they babysit around or under 10 because I don't really see an older child being babysitted because as soon as I was ten I was allowed to stay at home alone, the child age isn't mentioned though only hinted

When she leave her plain of euthymia itns either to spend time with you or take care of urgent matters in inazuma

So let's just say your dropped your sibling by directly in her consciousness which suprised her

At first the two of them are really akward, ei only knows fighting for as long as she can remember, but the similarities between your sibling and yourself are undeniable

It makes her nostalgic of her own sister

So she try to make the conversation but she was talking in a very distinguished manner which didn't helped the both of them to relax

Until your sibling asked her if she liked dessert

She immediately said yes and precised her favorites were dango

You sibling asked if she could make some and she grimaced

Telling them she is unable to cook led the two of them to stroll in inazuma searching for someone who sells dango

Until she saw that stand who sell dango milk

She let your sibling try it before asking for one herself, then they headed to the narukami shrine to pay a visit to miko

She couldn't help but tease ei, saying that the way she babysit your sibling make her look like a good mother

Ei decided then the visit was over and came back home until you went to pick your sibling back

She isn't against babysitting them once more though

Venti :

He tried to make your sibling drink alcohol before he get reprimanded by diluc

So instead he'll go to windrise to play with them

He'll summon wind current so the two of them will able to glid around freely

When it'll be nap time your sibling will lay against venti as he sing a lullaby for them, he might even stroke their hair

At the end of the afternoon they'll both visit dvalin in stormterror's lair, venti introducing them as his brother in law which will surprise dvalin

You'll find them still there early in the evening and greet politely dvalin who acknowledge you as venti's partner and so as someone he should protect too

If your sibling legs hurt from all the walking dvalin will propose to drop the three of you at the front of mondstadt gates so it'll be faster

And the way the knight of favonius in fonction at the moment made a face you're not ready to forget from seeing you, your sibling and your boyfriend getting down from a litteral dragon's back

Childe/tartaglia :

He is in heaven he has to babysit your sibling

They remind him of his own brothers and sisters back in schneznaya

If he has the day for himself and he is able to walk around liyue with them he will, and he'll also spoil them rotten

You bring your sibling the morning, by the evening they've become spoiled royalties

Even when you tell whilde to not spend so much on them

He can't help it

You're his partner so your sibling are kinda his siblings too in his head

And it's only narutal to give the best to his family members

He'll put the toy maker act before your little sibling so they think you're dating someone super cool and not a blood thirsty muderer from the fatui

But unfortunately his covers is blown up by you at the end of the day when you mention that his mens were searching for him

Your sibling was a bit upset childe lied to him, but he thought that being a soldier directly under an archon is way better than a toy maker

You didn't totally explained them that a fatui harbinger isn't only a soldier for the tsarista

Scaramouche :

He is canonicaly genuinely kind hearted toward children

So he's not thrilled to have to play banysit but he isn't complaining

If they ask questions about what is this thing or that one he'll answer honestly but as simple as possible and as kindly as possible

But if something is really dark like a torture engine he'll have some filter and to outright say the truth

He'll also play with them and let them borrow his hat and pretend to be him

But he won't let them near the other harbinger expect maybe childe

As much as he dislike childe he know he will not harm them since he has himself younger siblings

You'll find your boyfriend doodling with your younger siblings, smiling happily

Your sibling will probably run to you telling you how cool scaramouche is and that he accepted to do the fandango for them

Scaramouche ended up really embarassed with your sibling declaration but won't say anything

— you couldn’t finish it all though, and aether grew even more worried, hurrying faster

— he didn’t want to teleport, just incase he knocked you around

— he gripped you tight enough so you wouldn’t fall or jostle too much, but loose enough to not harm you more

— he moved swiftly and carefully, going around all monsters and rushing towards the cathedral

— he hovered around as barbara worked her magic, and barbara almost lost her patience HAHA

— aether was so relieved when barbara said you would be ok

— he hugged her thankfully before sitting down and carefully moving your head into his lap

— when you woke up he smiled softly, bending over and gently placing his lips on yours

— he’s so soft and gentle for the next few days, never leaving your side

— once you’re a lot better, he goes out to do commissions, but is never too long!

— all in all hes so relieved and he cares about you a shit ton

scaramouche

— this man is furious

— wether you’re on his side or not, he’s so mad he beats up the person first before rushing you to the bubu pharmacy

— he listens to baizhu anxiously, nodding furiously at everything he says, making sure to do everything on the dot or as soon as he can

— stays by your side, and no one dares to approach him

— stays out of the way when baizhu checks on you though, he doesn’t want to risk injuring you further!

— he’s still so mad even hours later

— his hand hold yours gently though, squeezing every so often

— when you wake up he rushes over and gently strokes your cheek

— he ignored his duties for however long you need or want him by your side

— scaramouche is so uncharacteristically soft with you,, like he’s so full of love and carefulness after you begin your recovery

— picks some flowers!!!

venti

— he’s upset :(

— rushes out of the battle as quick as he can

— depending on the situation he might call dvalin

— brings you to barbara, asking desperately if she can heal you

— another hoverer, but he’s less than aether, but also stays super close just incase

— finds some money to buy you something too!!

— only leaves your side a few times, but doesn’t stay out too long

— is really worried!!! poor baby :( he feels like it might be his fault

— plays his harp softly, singing a song for you

— he’s so careful and gentle once you recover

— takes you out to windrise, but only if you feel like it

Geo family:

-Ningguang asked Zhongli to join the family because he looked rich. Zhongli agreed because Ningguang offered to go antique shopping with him and didn't realize that meant using her money. She's now stuck with him and he's very dense when it comes to mortals and totally missed the purpose of the arrangement.

-They heard about Noelle from the storyteller who talked about her feats. She was vvv polite to them and they decided to support her in Mondstadt during her test.

-That’s where they met Albedo who started following Zhongli around and trying to study him. Neither he nor Zhongli understands social interaction and he becomes part of the family.

-They all overwork themselves and eventually decide to take a break and visit Inazuma. Gorou and Ningguang bond over hating the Fatui.

-They all sit down to have some brunch when the wall collapses as a man is thrown through it. Standing on the other side of the wall is a very irritated Sara. Itto sees they all use geo and invite himself to sit with them. None of them want to deal with telling him to go away. He remains part of the group because he can't take a hint and leave them alone.

Hydro family:

-Mona needs money. She takes a commission in dragonspine that pays well because no one else wants to go there. She gets to the sight of the commission, but the monsters have all been defeated. She is sad because now she can't make money and has to go hungry. Childe, who just beat the shit outta some monsters because he doesn't know how to deal with emotions, overhears and gives her like 4x mora than what the commission was gonna pay. Mona feels bad, but he tells her it's legit nothing to him.

-They head back to mondstadt to claim the commission and they see Albert harassing Barbara for an autograph. Childe’s overprotective big brother instincts kick in and he pulls Albert aside to ‘talk’ to him. If no one ever hears from him again, no one seems to care.

-Xiangling drags Xingqiu and Chongyun along to hunt for springvale boar. Diona is offering free samples and Xiangling grabs a few since they know each other. Chongyun loses control because Diona put chilies in the drinks. The others take him to Mondstadt where there’s apparently a healer who works at the church.

-Barbara is out for a relaxing lunch because none of her fans wanna approach the witch and Fatui harbinger with her. Xingqiu recognizes Childe as one of Zhongli’s friends and the group sit with them to eat while Chongyun is recovering.

-They go their separate ways until Xinyan mentions meeting Childe in Inazuma. The hydro homies decide to visit him because they seem to not understand that he’s literally a living weapon. He decides that hunting down Scaramouche can wait and also he’s decided that these people are his family now which means he doesn’t wanna show them his dark side.

-They decide to visit the resistance (partially because Childe needs information and has an apology gift basket but they don’t need to know that). Kokomi sees them and Gorou tells her to take a break for the day since she’s so overworked. She agrees, having no clue that one of her new friends works for the organization that almost killed her people. Childe assumes she knows and it never gets talked about.

Anemo family:

-Venti sees the other elements hanging out and decides that it would be fun. He calls Dvalin and forcibly makes Jean and Sucrose stop working under the guise of “it’s an emergency, come quick!”

-The Dvalin express lands on Wangshu in where Venti starts loudly singing and strumming his lyre. Xiao appears to kick them out, but Venti drags him onto the dragon and takes off before he can protest. Xiao is ready to teleport away. Venti then tells him that Rex Lapis is in Inazuma with a demon (not a lie). And suddenly he doesn’t want to leave.

-They make a pit stop by the crux fleet and Dvalin swoops down and grabs Kazuha in a talon.

-They land in Inazuma, where Venti, now drunk, mistakes a barrel for a person. The crate next to it asks how they could see her. Sayu joins the gang because sucrose is working on experiments and maybe there’s a formula to make her taller?

Electro family:

-Yae tells Ei that she should meet some electro vision bearers since she stole a bunch of em.

-Ei agrees and leaves the shogun in change. They venture to Mondstadt and meet the protagonist of a book produced by Yae’s publishing co. She joins them as their *insert long term here*

-Sara is dealing with MORE permit issues now

Yae forcibly drags Scaramouche to bond with his mother.

The aftermath:

-Kokomi sees him and remembers the traveler’s description of him.

-“hey isn’t that the Fatui harbinger who poisoned our army?”

-The geo brunch is disturbed by loud noises and...was that a whale call? They decide to ignore it because it’s not the weirdest thing they’ve run into this morning.

-And then water starts leaking into the restaurant. There is a moment of calm silence. Zhongli politely excuses himself. He sighs and walks out of the restaurant.

-It is madness. Beidou is threatening Barbatos, Xiao is also threatening Barbatos. Jean is trying to cam down sucrose who is intimidated by Sayu pestering her. Keqing is cursing out Ei, while Yae watches and laughs. Fischl is next to her providing commentary. Oz is translating. Lisa is lying on a park bench because she can’t be bothered to get involved.

-Also the entire city is flooded. Barbara and Xingqiu are trying to evacuate the citizens. Mona and Kokomi and aggressively yelling at Scaramouche. They would attack him, but there’s a blur of electro and hydro around him and Childe looks kinda unhinged and they decide to not get involved.

-Childe activates his foul legacy.

-All of the archons stop and stare at him.

-At some point Albedo and Itto have left the restaurant. Albedo is sketching and taking notes and Itto is cheering.

-Zhongli sighs and creates a shield between Childe and Scaramouche. Childe is distracted and accidentally looses control of his transformation. Zhongli forcibly drags him away from scaramouche, who is laughing. Zhongli flips everyone off, throws a meteor at them, and then pulls Childe back to where he was eating brunch and proceeds to act like everything is normal and the world around them isn’t chaos.

specifically, scaramouche.

so now we know more about scaramouche now, right? he’s a creation of baal’s journey to create the puppet, raiden shogun.

but when yae was explaining further to the traveler, she mentioned that baal was able to create this using ‘lost technology’ and i am certain she’s referring to the khaenri’ahn alchemy (not too sure if it’s khemia or not) since that practice, for the most part, is lost to time.

and if that’s right, that means that both scaramouche and albedo are akin to each other, they’re both products of the same technology, right? and this is further provided by scaramouche’s real name; kunikuzushi, which according to the wiki means ‘country collapse’ in japanese. who else do we know has the potential power to wipe out an entire city? mf albedo.

and if this is right, you kinda have to wonder why khaenri’ah had this sort of technology. because if albedo and scara were directly derived from their practice, why did they have this kind of thing? because essentially, they are weapons with a conscious and free-will, able to blend in and go undetected before they literally create mass devastation.

i also remember reading something about a creature that caused chaos over mondstadt from khaenri’ah (perhaps the dragonspine dragon, i can’t remember) but he did A LOT of damage, and once dvalin killed him, it was said that he has no idea of the destruction he caused he came up with the intention to show his beauty, but lost control and i couldn’t help but think of that one line albedo says, “if one day i lose control, destroy mondstadt, destroy everything, can i rely on you to stop me?”

So like, whose your favorite chars and ships and roles? *rolls all over your blog* I know you like albedo, as you should, but I feel like your big brain hides hidden potential of reasons

Ehe I have a lot to say and a lot of people to go through so...most will be under the cut. Like this is really just going to be me going on about what I like about a bunch of characters.

My works are a love letter to the characters nodnod y'know that quote--

Oh!! Okay okay uhhh here's a few of my faves and reasons:

Albedo:

There's a lot of similar interests-! Also being an alchemist/scientist is my dream.

His personality is very sweet and his interactions with others (like during the Golden Apple Archipelago) are hilarious and endearing. Like...the whole slipping away while Diluc and Kaeya were bickering? His little comment hinting that he had to yell at them while riding Dvalin due to the wind and their volume? Then every interaction with Klee (including his character trailer) are so wholesome uuuuu

Albedo, my beloved-

His outfit!! I want to get Albedo cosplay just for the jacket

Also his movements, attack wise, are very polished and clean-cut! It's pretty obvious that his style is similar to that of fencing, but then you also see that he often will condense his sword into pure geo or thrust it out in a burst of gold!! And his Q???? He snaps and then his burst just---bursts fourth out of the ground???

Man's skilled.

And then ehe...I just really am into the archetype of a smart, gentle, yet modest person and he fits that bill perfectly.

I can't wait to see more about him! We know such a small amount about him since his character story was intertwined w/ introducing Dragonspine and also more about him testing the Traveler--also we didn't get to play as him during it :<<

Xiao

He is a very gentle character who's been through so much and I admire his ambition and willingness and selflessness

I really like his attacks, too--the fluidity of his movements that ties in with his backstory and just his personality in general

I also want his outfit

There's just something about his character that is incredibly appealing--you see him at his worst with the Karmic Debt, the rawness of his personality due to his blunt way of speaking and the earnestness that he displays

Lots of quiet protection nodnod. You have to talk to one of the NPCs to find this out, but he helped a little girl get her doll back after it'd been taken by Hilichurls. He didn't have to do it because it's not something that people would consider important, but his duty extends beyond that. If he can help it, he will lend a hand

Also the interactions we have?? Like when he saves Traveler (the subtle shift of his grip on their hand, a little offer of stability) and then in Moonchase now?? *chef's kiss*

Xinyan

I LOVE HER

First off, she's a rockstar who's taken something and made it entirely her own?? Her guitar is of her own design too!! It's made to work with her pyro vision!!! Like how cool is that????

Her personality is strong, down to earth--ugh man she's so cool

I want to be friends with her so bad

She's absolutely strong-I personally built her as a phys dps so her shield doesn't really do much but man does she carry. If none of the boys can handle the job, I swap her in and she sweeps the field clean. Those mobs never stood a chance nodnod

Her aesthetic!! I also want her outfit. I want everyone's outfit.

While her en voice got a lot of questions/hate, I love it. I can't help but feel pumped up and ready when I use her skill and burst and she shouts out "Time to rock!!"

Her dedication to her music and unyielding determination to get her name out there is incredible, I can't help but admire her passion for music.

I just really love music, even if I'm trained more for classical + operatic ehe rock's actually my favorite genre so it's all the more better!

Xingqiu

Ah! The first time I saw him I immediately decided that I'd adopt him on the spot nodnod kinda like having a kid brother, y'know?? I think we'd get along well

Also the fact that he's a bookworm??? Again, I gravitate towards people who are considered smart--no matter what it's about! You could be incredibly knowledgeable about snails and only that and I will listen to you go on and on

He's a prankster! Poor Chongyun, being the butt of most of his jokes and all.

But like his character is really cute and I had a lot of fun listening to all his voicelines--there's a lot of funny stuff going on with him like his dislike for carrots, his handwriting-- but then he's also dedicated to his martial arts and helping others no matter the task! Very chivalrous indeed nodnod

A few of my other favorites are: Beidou, Kazuha, Scaramouche (it's a love hate)

Moving onnnn!!

I'll do roles first :DD

My favorite to play, hands down, are full on DPS and Support/DPS. Xiao, Kazuha, Albedo, Xinyan, Kaeya-- there's a lot but these are the peeps that I have, am currently, or would main.

I started off as a hybrid Kaeya main (some phys, some elemental), then Xiao's been my main DPS since!

Kazuha is incredible in tandem w/ Xiao because of his cc as well as his em buffs nodnod. Also Kazuha is just really fun to play in general.

Ngl, I think that getting and playing Xiao basically ruined all other characters for me because you can pry his attacks and burst plunging (very fun) out of my cold, dead hands (/j). The quickness of his attacks and playstyle--lots of poking w/ spear and then dodge + attack at the same time with his skill. 10/10 very fun, absolutely love.

As for support/DPS, this is more fun to do in co-op ehe. I usually end up playing Kazuha, Raiden (her skill gives all party members that passive extra electro dmg whenever you land a hit) or another elemental-based character--

That being said, elemental damage, when paired up to procc reactions is ugh sooo good.

Ships!!

I saved this for last because I know it's not everyone's cup of tea ehe. After all, I'm an x Reader blog!

But that being said--

I like the idea of XiaoVen, but I prefer KazuXiao because I feel like they'd work better together--this kinda goes over why. There'd be a lot of respect between the two.

Though, XiaoVen is really cute because they have complimenting personalities nodnod. Also froggie hat. And the idea of Venti being the one to play the flute that helped Xiao.

BeigGuang!!! Their dynamic is hilarious--not to mention that they do get along well but just so happen to butt heads often because their views are so wildly different-

YanTao! I feel that they'd be really cute together! Also Yanfei would probably make sure that Hu Tao stays out of trouble ehe...

XingYun! Very cute and wholesome--platonic or romantic, either way. The fact that they have matching friendship tassels?? Xingqiu seeking Chongyun out to read to him? OTL

I don't have any NOTPs, at least among the popular ships but I do get a little icky about AlbeRose because of some...unsavory experiences due to someone who overstepped. So ehe. We'll not talk about that.

But like Sucrose is really cute! I love her character and she's very sweet and the excitement that she shows with her research is something I relate to heavily! It's just--ahh the ship itself was ruined for me.

Okay so when you mentioned how the unknown god said “the arrogation of mankind ends now” it made me wonder if we (Aether & Lumine) had a hand in that calamity that destroyed Kaenri’ah? Whether accidentally or on purpose (hopefully w good intentions tho) we triggered the calamity and the unknown god stepped in like “it’s time to STOP” and even though a lot of other factors went into it she kinda scapegoated the outlanders? Maybe our presence was disrupting the balance of the world lol

OH AND WHAT IF THE UNKNOWN GOD USED TO BE KAENRI’AH’S GOD BUT SHE TURNED HER BACK ON THEM AFTER THE CALAMITY??? BC SHE THOUGHT THEY WENT TOO FAR W THEIR ALCHEMY????? MAYBE??????? Did you already mention this I honestly don't remember lmao sorry

But also I’m super intrigued by the fact that the sky is a hoax as Scaramouche said and the possibility that Kaenri’ah is in the false sky 👀 Bc rn we can see Celestia in game as an actual physical place and I wonder if Kaenri’ah used to also be a bunch of floating islands but the calamity yeeted them into space or something lmao? This also just reminded me that in the traveler’s voice overs they mentioned that the day/night cycle in Teyvat is much shorter than in their world (and ofc we can see that clearly in game) and idk if that was just a hand-wavey way to incorporate this game mechanic into the lore or if it’s actually significant but maybe it means something????? Like idk the calamity fucked up time in Teyvat or something????

Idk I’m word vomiting rn I said I’d write a coherent response once I’m awake but turns out I just can’t be coherent in general lmao

Okay, not gonna lie, I really want Aether and Lumine to be horrible people lol. Not in a sense that we caused the calamity in order to wipe out humans with evil intentions, but Aether and Lumine are really sheltered in a sense. Since it’s only been the two of them and they don’t seem to stick around in the same world. Lumine doesn’t appear to have a lot of feelings and hangs around the abyss order while Aether seems to be gaining human emotion (since he basically had a mind reset) and that could be why Dainsleif issued his whole “prove to me that you are fit to save her”. Since he’s super into humanity and hates the Gods. That kinda stuff. But this is me spitballing and wanting everything to be sad haha.

Yo, I wanna see that. The unknown god spitting metaphors and flowery language just to say “yo wtf are you doing, it’s time to STOP.” I definitely believe in our presence was disrupting the balance since Lumine says something like “outlanders don’t belong here” or something like that. Plus all the shit that happened with Aether throughout the story. Saving Dvalin and sealing Osial.

YES. YES. I’M TOTALLY ON BOARD WITH THAT THEORY THAT THE UNKNOWN GOD WAS THE KAENRI’AH GOD. I love those tragic “I used to be the good guy but due to unfortunate circumstances it’s time to stab a bitch” (yo what a status. This is my status now). But I completely believe that Khemia was what caused the calamity. Or even, okay back to me spit balling even tho this isn’t really a theory (and I don’t think this is how genshin is going to go but my brainworms are taking over), since Khaenri’ah was an archoneless land, that doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t gods the same way Liyue has adepti’s right? We don’t know what region Khaenri’ah is yet (at least I think) since Liyue is China and Mondstadt is Germany so I can’t say anything about folklore and what not. But each region so far has some sort of celestial being that isn’t an archon but still protects that specific piece of Teyvat. So what if the unknown god was technically a god, might have been the archon, but perhaps Lumine and Aether dislike the gods and tried to teach the people of Khaenri’ah how to like, rise above or whatever, but that whole situation backfired and started the calamity. And the unknown god was just this whole, misunderstood situation the same way with the salt goddess in Liyue. Havria? I think that’s her name. That could explain why she went after the two siblings and said the whole, arrogation of mankind.

Scaramouche you fucking bitch, explain to me in english what you mean!! Why are you leaving me off on a cliffhanger;; Stupid gremlin smh, I say this but as soon as I see his banner I’m gonna whale for him even though I hate using castors. I’m gonna finally use Mona and Lisa when I get him haha. That is very true tho, I believe Khaenri’ah is the false sky or it has something to do with the sky. YEETED THEM INTO SPACE LOLLL. This kinda reminds me of the gbf lore and the crimson horizon. Basically the gbf main story takes place above the clouds and the crimson horizon is what separates gbf with the “main world”. The main world went to shit so that’s why everyone now lives in the sky. It would make sense since the calamity turned everyone into monsters.

Honestly, I can see it being some sort of hint because genshin is lowkey really bad at subtly hinting at things (COUGH ZHONGLI AND ALBEDO COUGH). Or it could just be a nod to irl people and the day night cycle but who knows. I feel like Venti or Zhongli would say something about it since the calamity started, Mondstadt went to go and help and honestly, the timeline of Khaenri’ah is so fucked. Either way, Scaramouche was on musk reef which does lead to the spiral abyss and time doesn’t act naturally there either so there might be some connections but who knows haha.

Nah nah, I live for this kinda stuff. Don’t worry about being coherent because I’m never haha. Honestly, theory lore stuff needs to be more “slapping the whiteboard as I look at you with my sleep deprived eyes” instead of “this is my 20 page essay detailing the quantum mechanics of fictional characters”.

Rando Stories from mah mind (part 2)

What if the divine creator is like a young lady from the 1800s wearing something like this?

Like just imagine the shock the creator is having, she was just trying to run her family business by sewing the final design but then she is just thrown in tevyat.

She’s just freaking out a lot.

“A dragon?! Talking cranes and stags?! What’s next half humans and animals?!” Yelled The divine creator.

She’s a poor baby, and also she easily blush at everyone that complements her and stuff because, young lady from the 1800s may had low self esteem.

If they are lucky she can tell her live, how she was going to be betrothed to a rich man who had a mistress already or had an affair with the servant.

She might be very naive because she didn’t learn much about different places or their culture.

She is just, too precious for anyone. Loves Ganyu for her nice nature and she thinks that ganyu is perfect.

“I just love your personality Ganyu, you’re too sweet.” Said Y/n as she squeezed Ganyu’s cheek softly.

Her Grace likes Zhongli but may have an attraction to the kind gentlemen like Kazuha, Albedo, Diluc, or maybe Scaramouche if she’s lucky.

But I think she’s easily attracted to Kaeya for being flirtatious but then he’s trying to stop going overboard because Y/n is red and hiding her face in her bonnet.

Xiao thinks it’s kind of a sin because she’s easily attracted and blushes at any chivalry shown, like helping her up or saving her from an accident.

So like imagine him apologizing profusely because he accidentally said something that made the divine red and hiding her face with her hands.

The Tsaritsa would be like a knight to the naive princess (Y/n) but is like adoring every move she makes, it’s just too adorable for her.

Childe tries to interact with the creator but then they are in a tight situation where in the end the creator tries to stop him from killing himself.

Scaramouche is like red every time, why? Because Y/n is complementing his looks and his adorable eyes and cute size.

“You look so cute! I could practically hold you in my arms!” Gushed her grace as she literally picked him up like a cat while Childe and the tsarista are glaring daggers at him.

He’s gonna be a bitch about it but he will be red when she’s gushing about him.

Qiqi will get cuddles and that is final, Shenhe will have tea sessions with her grace and she will be with cloud retainer who will share her embarrassing stories along with ganyu who’s trying so hard not to eat the delicious food in front of her.

Bet cloud retainer is gonna be a total soccer mom and proudly just rub in everyone’s face that she’s practically their grace’s favorite.
