Title: My Dearest Assistant

Cradling the bunnies Zandik bought caused his heart to soften. He could see the innocence of his beloved made his heart full despite his mind being lacking. The young female student giggled as she pet the small animals. Zandik planned to use them as lab subjects.

From this day forward, he decided to use human subjects. However, he didn't want to scare the girl he liked. He decided to settle with potions. He was slowly molding into a softy. She is the potter molding and softening his heart slowly.

"Dear, would you mind if you reach for the serum," he asked.

Her cheeks reddened at the nickname. He saw her reaction and he smirked. She handed him the serum carefully, fearing that it would spill.

She could see the concentration in his eyes. He mixed the two serums together. He concluded he needed something more powerful. He had a feeling that their professor would state the same.

"This is how we make more powerful beings," he said with fascination.

Naphali had her eyes on the bright red serum. It has a consistency of blood. She inferred that Zandik is making that revolved around blood manipulation.

"We need something to spark the power in it," he sighed, setting the tube down.

A black, shiny stone hidden in a cave is what they need. It is rumored that a black coating covered the red-blood colored gem. However, people tried to snatch it, but they ended up being killed or being missing in the cave. It is rumored to contain great power to those who deserve the power.

"The Auiak stone," Naphali inquired, eyebrows raising.

Naphali knew the risk of hunting for the stone. Of course, people would state that the risk is worth it for the development of defenses in the military of Teyvat. However, Zandik doesn't think that way. All he wanted is for people in Teyvat to have more power and for him to gain more knowledge and wisdom.

"Yes, Naphali. The Auiak stone," he responded to her question.

"Isn't that risky on your part," she asked, petting the young, small and sleeping rodent

He scoffed. "This is worth the risk for the development of our race."

Naphali responded with a skeptical emotion. She may be innocent physically and mentally. She isn’t stupid, much to the surprise of Zandik. However, he found it a positive aspect of her.

"Your research," she corrected.

Of course, Zandik smirked. He was happy that his beloved woman was getting his tricks. She knew how to handle people like him. She found it frustrating to find that the man she loved is so mad and very desperate in gathering knowledge. She had a feeling that he wanted to compete with the goddess of wisdom herself, Buer.

She remembered that people described the goddess herself as a small, child-like female with what looks like elven ears. In line with the other archons, the ends of her hair are dyed a different hue, with hers ranging from light gray to green—signifying Dendro.

He chuckled. "That's it, dear."

Naphali suddenly remembered her tasks for the Akademiya. She had some papers to pass to the professor. She silently gasped and froze in shock since the deadline was approaching.

“Zandik, are you finished with the research work that professor Gael,” she catechized.

He hummed, uninterested with that accursed assignment. He seemed concerned about his own experiment. The assignment given to them by Professor Gael helped him in his experiment.

“Pass my papers to him alongside your papers,” he said.

Naphali took his paper from the vacant table beside his table. She then left the lab with his and her papers held by her hand. The professor's office is far from the lab that she needed to climb down a flight of stairs. She passed by some students who were going to their specific classrooms to do some projects.

She finally arrived outside the office. She panted as she held onto the door knob of the wooden door. The walking caused her to be that exhausted to the point of panting. This was because she isn’t used to walking that much.

She knocked on the door. She waited for the call of the professor to summon her inside. She clasped onto the important papers. She had knowledge that he is tired due to the countless work professors had to deal with.

“Come in,” Professor Gael’s voice boomed through the door.

The young female student twisted the door knob and entered the room. He welcomed her with a smile as she set her foot inside. He is a middle-aged man who had white medium length hair that was braided. He wore brown clothing as a uniform for the professors of the Akademiya.

“Ms. Naphali, what do you need,” he queried.

“Good afternoon, professor Gael,” Naphali greeted. “I wish to pass the papers for our latest classwork.

She set the papers on the desk in front of him. “Sorry for disturbing you, professor.”

The professor shook her head. “No need to apologize, Naphali. I was about to give you and Zandik an invitation for a quest to find some materials for a research project.”

He handed her two envelopes, containing one letter each envelope. The envelopes are brown in color.

"You see, I can see that your lover is very interested in the Auiak stone," he hummed in thought.

Naphali's cheeks became flushed. The term her professor used to describe them took her by surprise. Not friends, but companions.

The professor could see how close they are to each other. They were inseparable. He observed that Zandik is a bit possessive towards her. He would take her away from the male students she talked to.

"Anyways, you may leave. Please do give the letter to Zandik," he said dismissively.

She gave a nod before leaving the office. She returned back to the laboratory where Zandik is staying. As she arrived, the sight in front of her was enough to make her blush.

Zandik leaned onto his chair. He let out a sigh of tiredness. His palm was touching his head and his legs spread. He had a tensed and frustrated look on his face. The experiment was a failure. He expected a lot in this experiment.

"Naphali, come here," he ordered.

She immediately kneeled in front of him. She was shivering due to her fear of what he would do if he was frustrated. He tends to be violently sadistic when he is frustrated or annoyed.

"We really need the Auiak Stone," he sighed, cupping her cheek with his hand and stroking it.

She made sure to make eye contact. She bit her lip in nervousness. His fingers trailed over her lips. She handed him the letter.

"What is this, dear," Zandik asked.

"Letter of summon. He invites us on a trip to get the Auiak Stone. He wants us to come to the office of the Grand Sage tomorrow," she explained.

He gave a simple hum. She interpreted this as his ordinary response. Internally, he was excited to get his hands on the stone. He had to make sure to convince their teammates to do his bidding.

"What do they want from the stone," she threw the question at him.

"Power. Ambition," he lied.

Zandik saw his beloved assistant as mindless. He could easily manipulate her for his own bidding. He couldn't. He didn't want her to break because of him.

She made him soft. She calmed him down.

Ambition? What are they trying to achieve? They had everything from knowledge to Visions. All they wanted was to protect the stone and study it.

Zandik wanted to see if they could put the stone as a serum to inject to a subject. The subject could be both animals or humans.

"Zandik, let's go to our dorm. It's getting dark," she said.

Zandik nodded. He stood up from his chair and helped his assistant up. She held onto him as she steadied her posture.

He put his hand on her shoulder to guide through the night. The two left the lab after fixing and cleaning all the lab equipment.

Partners in Crime (Dottore x OC)

Title: First Meeting

Hello, Everyone. I really want this to be the start of a series. This is an inspiration ever since I started playing Genshin Impact. Yeah, I know I am far behind. Don’t worry, I did my research on the game before or during playing (which is a habit of mine ever since). I hope you enjoy the fanfict and crossover of the two.

Her timid nature had caught the attention of a another student. The male student is a grown-up with red eyes, wavy blue hair, and pale complexion. Her pale complexion also caught his eye. It was normal to be pale, but her paleness seemed unhealthy. He, with a knowledge and interest for medicine, knows that something was wrong with the newcomer.

She was a slave and orphan. The poor student was sent to train in the morning and to work as a slave in a restaurant. She kept covering her torn clothes. The expression etched on her face showed shame and hidden sadness.

Zandik, the young male student, worked on his experiments as he stared at the vial filled with a blue fluid. He studied the fluid closely and carefully. Senses open to observe any changes to the animals he bought. He didn’t mind the door being since he didn’t want to be bothered by presence of other students.

Naphali, the young female student, watched in curiosity as she entered the laboratory. She could see how the liquid glowed. She closed the door behind her as she entered. She approached the table he is staying and stared at him in fascination.

“Did you enjoy watching my experiment,” he inquired.

She gave a nod. She finally knew that Zandik is fascinated with experimentation. She found it fascinating to watch her fellow student dig for knowledge. The gold of a human mind is knowledge.

Zandik selfish nature was long gone as soon as he saw Naphali. He was concerned for her wounds and bruises. His concern turned the curiosity about her wounds on.

“What happened to your arm,” he asked.

Her eyes landed on the wound on her arm. It was left out on the open. The clothing she wore didn’t conceal the wound. She bit her lip in nervousness. She didn’t know if she could trust him.

“Wounds like this would take time to heal. It is the same when it comes to emotional and mental wounds. It takes time to speak about this matter,” Zandik sighed.

He was right. She was flabbergasted at his statement because he knew what she felt. Her trust towards him increased, but not that much. She was eager to know his name so she could show the trust he earned.

“What is your name,” she asked.

Zandik had to admit that he loved to hear her voice. She remained silent most of the time. He could tell that she is hurting since she kept a facade towards the people around.

“Zandik,” he briefly answered.

“I’m Naphali,” she introduced. “Do you go here often?”

He nodded. He had been around since he step foot in the academy. He had an undying interest of experimenting for humans to achieve maximum power like gods.

“What is that,” she implored, pointing at the fluid.

“It is a serum to be injected to the animals,” he responded, pointing at the bunnies.

What scared her is the emotionless tone in his voice. She quickly freed the bunnies from their cages. Her soft nature towards animals is showing now. She showed him her innocent face as she shivered under his stare.

He sighed, finding her innocence cute. He found it endearing. He could feel his heart exploding. His face is burning and he was tempted to fiddle with his fingers. He finally learned that Naphali loves pets like cats, dogs, bunnies and many more.

“Why do you have to do this,” she asked, teary eyed.

“This is for a medicine. This is an experiment for a cure,” he answered.

She calmed down. This is a good for the people and the students here. She held onto the bunnies who are looking around in curiosity. He decided to give her the bunnies so she could calm down more. He could buy or capture some animals in the wild.

“You can keep the bunnies,” he said, patting her shoulder.

She squealed in happiness. “Okay.”

He smiled as he turned his back on her. Her happiness made his body warm. It was like a sun that would brighten anyone’s day. The effects of that sun is affecting him now.

So does anyone else think Dehya’s playstyle is really similar to what what Yang would be like in Genshin? Apparently I had some similar ideas back in 2021. I just think she would be more attack thank protect.
