okay, guys, I know with the once a week updates I SHOULD be posting an upd8 today, but unfortunately im not... I have a good reason tho I swear!!!!! my references are SO CLUTTERED AND OUTDATED and it's making it IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK ON THE UPDATE. Like I'm having to scroll through 20 pictures in the little reference box just to get colors for 2 CHARACTERS!!!! so yeah, delayed update BUT yall get official refs :)

Y'all i made my piano teacher listen to against the kitchen floor and like less than a minute in he asked me like "could it be that he wrote this song for a sex doll?" And i was like ???? NO ?!?! And then he was like "it sounds like he wrote this song as though he and the sex doll are switching parts, like he's less human then the object" and i was like ??!?!!?? NO. And i mean. I see where he got that cause i guess the song does mention sex and the "bottom shelf erotic products" line but like ??? I have no fucking words. I genuinely have no fucking words. he told me that this interpretation made sense to him from what he heard of will wood but i was like maybe if it was on his FIRST ALBUM but not on THIS ONE. and i explained the song and the context of the album but i don't think he's convinced. I genuinely don't know what is anything anymore. This is the last interpretation i could have ever thought of of this song. What even is anything. My life is a fever dream. I don't fucking know reality anymore

My buddy got me a poster yesterday as a Christmas gift. I was asleep when he dropped it off, but he's really excited about my reaction. Even asked my roommate to tell him what my initial response is.

I love this guy- he's my best friend and he tries really hard to maintain our relationship, despite having radically different schedules. He's a ✨Creative✨ and doesn't work a lot, so he has a very limited amount of spending money. He insists on getting friends gifts, though, because the tradition is important to him. Last year he got me a custom baseball bat and I was so excited I actually blacked out for a minute (don't hold your breath as a bit)!

This year I asked him to come to a drag show with me and bring his own single dollars. we did, we had fun, but he still wanted to get me something.

I'm gay and like a meme as next as the next homo, but I'm really uncomfortable with this. I don't like using the language or rhetoric of people who literally or figuratively want me dead. Even though it's got a rainbow on it. I don't want to think about Alex Jones, I don't want to think about Obama and his war crimes, and I don't want to think about my political enemies in my own home. It's funny to reference but I really don't want to put those words on my wall. I'm also not huge on frogs so the cute factor doesn't do much for me.

My sister recently got me rainbow "don't tread on me" stickers and I feel the same way about that- it feels like Make America Gay Again hats, where I'm just freaking out my community for no reason (until they get close enough to see it's a joke).

I live in a small apartment and I don't have a place I could put this out of the way, like a garage.

WIBTA for regifting or throwing away the poster? Is there a better course of action? He was really excited about this and I don't want to break his heart, but I also don't want my home full of alt right quotes, hilariously misguided or not.

-We could all probably guess that Eddie isn't invited to a lot of parties.

-I mean, sure, he deals to people going to the parties but he's never asked to tag along.

-He definitely doesn't have a lot of extra cash just to get booze whenever he wants it.

-So on the off occasion Eddie is invited to a kegger or something he gets absolutely wasted.

-He's a light weight, guys. He's skinny and tall and two glasses of anything will get him giggly as hell.

-You can only remember him calling you to pick him up from a party one other time (and "party" is used very loosely here).

- It was mostly just his band, some speakers, and a bottle of whiskey that one of them had managed to swipe from somewhere.

-This time, it's an actual party.

-And he was invited by Chrissy Cunningham, no less.

- (Which only made you a tiny bit jealous)

-He wants you to come, but as much as you love that idiot, you'd rather be anywhere else than a party at Jason Carver's house.

-But Eds is too curious for his own good, here. He's gotta see what all the fuss is about.

- Hence, at 2:47 am, you get a call.

-You're half asleep and he's giggly and slurry over the phone so it's a little hard to understand what he's trying to tell you but you know Eddie well enough to get the picture.

-You splash some cold water on your face and drive on over to Jason's.

-Eddie's sitting on the front porch when you pull up and the moment he sees you he's got the biggest shit eating grin on his face.

-He jumps up and runs over to you, kicking over several people's red solo cups on the way, but the poor boy is too far gone to even notice.

-He's grinning so big at you when he climbs in, and you can't be annoyed at him for even a second. You roll your eyes and breathe a little laugh as you reach over his chest to buckle his seat belt.

-Eddie thinks you're just going in for a big hug and he gladly returns it. You laugh as you clip his belt, ruffling his messy curls. "Hey, Eds."

-You frown for a moment when you pull back, seeing his pretty lips all stained with red. Was that?? Lipstick? Had he been????

- "What's all over your-" You rub at his bottom lip and he kisses the pad of your thumb. You crook your brow at him, but he just sits there with sleepy eyes looking awfully proud of himself.

-You shake your head and start the car, "What's on your face, Eds? Did you kiss someone?"

- "Are you jealous?" He gives another shit eating grin and you swat at his thigh, making him give a semi-evil sounding laugh.

- "I stole a popsicle out of the freezer." He announces, as if it's the greatest thing he's ever achieved. "A red one." He puckers his lips at you playfully.

-You rub the bridge of your nose, fighting a laugh. Those were definitely Jason's little sister's.

- "Wow. That'll teach that asshole, huh?" You teased. He shoved your shoulder lightly, slurring something you couldn't understand through his laughter.

-He mumbled to you for a while about Hellfire and you smiled as you listened to his nonsensical little rambles. He gave a big sigh when you finally pulled into your drive way, patting his legs. "I have to tell you something. Right now."

-You chuckled, turning off the ignition. "Oh?" It's only then you notice the red popsicle drip stains on the neck of his shirt.

-"Yes." He clears his throat. "It is very important and I have to tell you now."

-You smile at his very serious little frown. "Alright, Eds. I'm listening."

-He takes another big breath, as if he's mustering courage. "I've been watching you." He states flatly.

-You burst into laughter at the unintentionally creepy admission, which makes him break into giggles right along with you.

-"Listen!! Listen!" He whines, pressing his palms to his eyes as he laughs. "Ok but I have! I really have!! During Hellfire! And I didn't- I haven't meant to! But I just realized I've just been looking at you and-..." He stops, groaning. "You know when there's a car accident and it's really bad and traffic backs up because everyone is staring at it? That's what it's like with you but it's in a beautiful way."

-You pause for a moment, trying to process.

-"Eddie, what the fuck?" Tears of joy are forming in your eyes as you laugh.

-And then he's laughing too, "I mean it!! I can't not look at you sometimes and the words get jammed up in my mouth! My chest. It hurts!! And it's your fault!!"

-"So, you're having chest pain and it's my fault?"

-He groans at his own drunkenness, laughing through a whine.

- He huffs a breaths, "It's when you're close to me or you smile it's like that, I think. And it's a good thing. But what I'm saying is that-"

-"Eds...are you crying?"

- "Shut up!!" He's holding back his own laughter, trying to keep the little frown on his red stained mouth as he scrubs a tear from his cheek. Your heart melts, realizing that while he knows he's failing miserably, he's trying so hard to get whatever this is across to you. You tuck his curls behind his ear with a soft laugh.

-"Eddie, baby, what's wrong?"

- He tries to ignore what the pet name does to his tummy.

-He gives another big sigh, laying his head back against the seat. "I just....It's just that I think you're so pretty, is all."

-Your heart does a somersault in your chest, but you manage to keep it all under control, smiling at him as you brush his bangs back.

-He smiles back and nods, his eyelashes fluttering against his sleepy eyes. You brush a tear, formed partially from his own laughter and partially from the frustration of it all, from his rosy cheek.

-"I think you're pretty too, Eddie." You hum softly.

-His eyes open, "You really mean it? Like, for real?"

-You giggle, "Prettiest boy I've ever seen."

-Tears well up in his eyes again and he grins, sitting up.

-"Wait, the prettiest?? You mean it? Like you really swear it??"

-You giggle, rolling your eyes, and reach down between the two of you to lock your pinkie with his. "Cross my heart."

-There's a silence as he realizes the weight of what you've said.

-"I....I..." He pumps his fist against his knee. "Fucking!! YES! Yes! Hell yes! Oh my god!" He's in shock, practically bouncing where he's tangled in his seat belt. "This!! This is such good news!"

-You burst into another round of laughter but he ignores it this time, unbuckling frantically to crawl over and gather you up in a big hug, pressing kisses all over your face.

-You squeeze him back, sighing happily as you run your fingers through his messy curls.

-He smells like cherry popsicle.

davey and ash's friendship is so important to me i genuinely love them sm

TRIGGER WARNINGS: TALK OF DEATH, REFRENCES TO TRAUMATIC EVENTS

ash is david's biggest pain in the ass (next to angel ofc) but ash has always been like that, it's just how he is. ash has seen david in all his embarrassing moments (puberty..., first time he shifted and shifted back only to be naked, him just being a stupid lanky teenager)

he loves ash, ash has always been there. from big things like his parents deaths and the small things like when he got rejected for prom. and no matter how much ash jokes, david knows he'll always be there. he knows ash only jokes to help him feel better and give him someone to bitch at. ash is his best friend, always and forever.

thats why the inversion hit him so hard. he was so helpless, he couldn't help him at all. it hit him hard, days and weeks after. he would shoot up from nightmares of his bestfriend dead. some nights, angel would call asher to stay over just so david would feel more at peace. and it never bothered angel, they got why he was so afraid.

davey was a nickname gifted to him by asher and his mom. he still only lets ash use it in private (like with angel) davey is their (angel and ash) thing for him. asher is so dear to him, he loves that him and angel get along. his two favorite people. the two people he loved the most in the entire world, held the same compassion for eachother that he holds for them.

asher loves david, with every part of him. (take that however you want, i see more of a brother-ly relationship between the two of them) he enjoys being a pain in the ass to david, it reminds him of when they were younger. david, no matter how gruff he was, always supported ash and his decisions. like asking some girl out to prom, or asking that random guy on a date, or helping him study.

ash appreciates everything david has done for him. from the days he supported him through heartbreak to when he saved his life. he could never thank david shaw enough for that day. ever. he's glad that babe doesn't mind him spending the night with david from time to time. he likes quality time with davey, his childhood best friend. of course he enjoys his time with "Pack Alpha David Shaw" but the soft side of david will always be his favorite.

ash has one nickname that only three people call him. it's ashey. his beloved mother, his wonderful mate, and his best friend, david shaw. he flips when anyone else calls him it, that was what david called him when they were little. they were ashey and davey, two peas in a pod. their parents often described them as inseparable. even way back then, 7 year old david was still lecturing a 5 year old asher. things never change.

asher and david are a one of a kind friendship, they'd give up everything for one another. they're platonic soulmates.

You were doing your schoolwork all day in your own little office your grandfather, Martin, had let you have. You lived with your grandfather all your life, You never really knew why you never lived with your parents, nor why you hadn't seen them since you were practically born. You tried not to dwell on it a lot, though.

And to be honest, you hated living with your grandfather, but he would never have known that. You'd be in massive trouble if he found out, but you were pretty good at hiding it either way. You were respectful towards him like he taught you to be.

But he was very strict, he had certain rules that you found to be weird or idiotic. But you weren't allowed to complain about it, or he would get upset with you and go on a huge tangent on why even some of the "silliest" of rules were important. He had you do school from home, though this, wasn't really what you'd consider to be a home quite fankly. Who would? it felt as though you were living in a hospital and you weren't even sick.

He was preparing you to become a nurse one day for his "patients" as he called them. Though you'd found out awhile ago that they weren't patients, and they weren't really sick so to speak.

He had one "patient" and whenever said patient got sick, he'd bring him to you, to practice taking care of the rest of his patients whenever they'd grow ill or got hurt. It felt weird taking care of ill or hurt patients when you were only 15 years old though.

The patients name was Peter, and he was nice, he had weekly checkups, once a week you'd check in on him and you enjoyed it. Not only was he nice, but you thought he was pretty cute too. You met him when you were only 11 and he was 12. He was quiet and seemed to always be thinking about something. He never actually said what was going through his mind though, and when he did, it was rare.

Today he had his weekly checkup, and it was also his 16th birthday, you knew he wouldn't be excited because in the lab, Your gandpop didn't celebrate birthdays. Not even his own. you thought it was weird.

You were checking Peter's heartbeats through your Stethoscope. "Breathe in." Your voice was soft and quiet.

You watched as he slowly breathed in, and then letting go, like a wave washing up on a beach and fading into nothing but wet sand.

You took the buds out of your ears and placed the necklace back from where you kept it, getting out your otoscope (ear checker) and ophthalmoscope (eye checker)and continuing on with his examination.

"Today is your birthday." You said, hoping to make conversation with him, sometimes he'd rather not speak, so he wouldn't, but most of the time you guys would talk during his exams, and would even chatter a little after you finished too.

"It's just another day." He replied dryly, he didn't seem happy about it, but then again, he couldn't celebrate his birthday anyways, but that still didn't mean you couldn't feel happy for yourself anymore right?

"Yeah, but it's your 16th birthday" you were hoping by the end of this conversation you could've changed his veiw point, but you were extremely doubtful, Peter was stubborn and it was hard to change his mind. Though he was never talkative at first, he still seemed like he had a little speck of himself left inside him, a part of him that held onto his past and when he was happy.

But now, after almost 4 years of knowing him, he seemed like he lost that part of himself, or maybe more so let go of it. It was noticeable by the emptiness in his eye and the sadness planted on his face at all times that he hated his life here, and it was understandable. But could he really have been going through depression?

Maybe it wasn't depression, maybe he was greifing his family since he was no longer able to see them since coming here at such a young age, even after knowing him for so long, he never liked to talk about his past, at all. But you'd always tell him things about yourself when you got the chance.

Like how you'd keep secret books hidden under your bed inside of your room that you'd read at night when you weren't afraid someone would walk in and take all of your secret belongings away.

You always thought he was ignoring you, or just simply wasn't listening whatsoever because he didn't care enough too, because he had bigger or better things to worry about, but he liked listening to you speak. Your voice was soft, and it had kindness in it like a small kitten cuddling up to its mother.

"What's so great about being 16 again." He replied, there wasn't much emotion in his voice when he spoke, it made you feel bad for him.

"Wait what? you've never heard of the saying 'sweet 16' for someone's birthday before?" you looked at him confused with your brows furrowed.

"You have?" He seemed a little suprised.

"Yes?"

"That's shocking considering you've lived in this building since you were young."

"Whatever, I know about it from my books, remember?" you whispered to him, he only nodded his head in response.

"I would've gotten you something for you today, but you know I'm not allowed too."

"It's fine, I don't want anything anyways."

"Not even a card? I'm sure I'd be able to sneak making you a card Peter." You frowned at him.

"No, it's fine Y/n, you don't have to do that."

"But why not? everyone deserves something for their birthday." You said lowering your tools, placing them back where they resided.

His eyes were stuck to the luminom floor, as if he were thinking of how to reply, which was unlike Peter, he usually knew what to say to you, he seemed less tense and more comfortable around you as the weeks went by.

"..Because I don't deserve anything for my birthday." He said, looking into your eyes before a gaurd had opened the door, pulling both of your attention from eachother onto the gaurd.

He didn't say anything more, he simply got up and left the room in his long, pale, dotted gown that showed merely just his ankles.

You felt your heart drop for him as the door clicked shut.

OC Post 9 - Out Of The River

Time for a throwback! Out Of The River was the first set of train ocs entirely seprate from thomas that I ever made. This was like beginning of covid times, and i've been iterating on it ever since. This is before I had Trainz or Rolling Line, so all of these guys were artisinally crafted in google drawings while I was in school.

Marlow - The POV character, Marlow is a 2-8-0 built in the early 20th century by a small freelance workshop. He works bringing stone from the main quarry the story is set in to the port of Borenbouth. He's the oldest of 7 siblings, none of which he knows the fate of. However, caring for his younger siblings helped him develop his level head. Despite how caring and strong he is, Marlow doesn't react well to sudden changes.

Kyd - Marlow's best friend, Kyd is a loose cannon on the deck. An Arnov (fictional company)- built 0-4-0, Kyd works shunting trucks through the quarry sidings. He like Marlow's company, and usually rambles on to him for hours on end. Otherwise, Kyd likes running around and making trouble, often with my rhyme or reason. He is he Max to Marlow's Sam, if you get my meaning.

Amy - A freelanced Andrew-Barclay oil burning 0-6-0, Amy isn't very talkative. She was thrown into the Arnov vs. Barclay conflict from day one, and finds the whole thing makes her kinda uncomfortable, as she's a pacifist by nature. After the quarry closed, she was sold into industrail service and modified before returning.

Krystal - An Arnov-built 0-4-2, Krystal is the leader of all the Arnov engines in the quarry. She's very no-nonsene and she sticks up for the people under her. She initially saw Marlow with some trepidation, but Kyd convinced her that he was alright. She ended up sticking with the quarry until its final days and the owner perserved her and Norham, and the two started the effort to regroup everyone together as a sign that there would be no more conflict based on builders.

Norham - This guy never got a drawing. Norham is the leader of the Andrew-Barclay locomotives, and also the living embodiment of the nerd emoji. Krystal hates him until the two of them are perseved together and they're forced to talk with one another.

Bea - An 0-4-0 of unknown origin, Bea is the main and also only shunter of Bourenbouth Port. He's also level-headed like Marlow, but he has an affection for the eccentric. The Port closes alongside the Quarry, and Bea is left in his shed for years until Marlow remembers that he's there, and Bea is rescued and brought to the NRM in York, where he ends up fitting in quite well. (you get the weathered version too.)

William - The main tugboat to interface with Bea and Marlow, William loves telling stories about the other boats in the area. (literally just "tugs refrences go here.") Aside from that, William is also fascinated with the Macabre, so some visiting engines find him best in small doses.

That's all of the important ones! Some others have drawings but aren't important, just background fillers for either side of the conflict. As a special thing, here is an old unfinished piece of Marlow & Kyd being pulled out of the river (featuring their old designs, and them being covered in rust and mud!) and the Out Of The River story in full! (It's not my best and if I ever rework it I think i'd just start from scratch anyways.)

hi guys. so i saw rotb. unfortunately i fucking hated it. lemme talk about why. (spoilers, obviously. be warned this is very long.)

first of all, lemme preface this by saying two things. number one being i did not have high expectations for this movie in the first place. because lets be honest, this is the transformers fandom, and hollywood has almost never done us justice. also, the trailers and teasers weren't exactly encouraging. number two being i am a huge fucking movie nerd. okay. i love movies. so just keep that in mind.

i think it's worth pointing out that my number one critic of this movie is that for almost the entire runtime, it's something worse than bad: it's boring.

i mean, how do you make giant robots boring??? how is that even possible? let's unpack that.

first of all, it has the most generic, cookie cutter action movie plot ever. we have to get the.... thing! you know, the thing! and we have to do it before the.... other guys! who are working for the BIG guy! and if we don't... the world will end! wahhh!

how is anyone supposed to be invested in that. there are no stakes. there's no tension. there's nothing. we've literally seen this exact plot played out one million times. THERE'S NOTHING NEW!!!

furthermore, the characterization of literally everyone is dogshit. the villians are bland, and have absolutely no motivation behind "darkness and evil." that's NOT INTERESTING!! there's no backstory! i literally could not even tell you the NAMES of the three main antagonists that are on the screen for half the movies runtime. that's how unimportant they are.

and god, the autobots are even worse. first of all, optimus prime and mirage are the only actual characters. i can't remember a single line any other robot says. not one.

but optimus is so under-hyped. they claim he's some big warrior (optimus primal even goes "i'm named after you") but we don't get ANY backstory. we don't know anything about cybertron, or the war, or even what the hell they're doing on earth. we know they "crash landed 7 years ago, and haven't been able to get off since". and they "have to get back, or cybertron will be destroyed!" do they ever tell us WHY cybertron might be destroyed? NOPE!

now we, as an informed audience, can reasonably assume it's because of the war.

but.... what??? friends, the decepticons are never even MENTIONED.

lemme repeat that. the decepticons are never. even mentioned. SO WHY WOULD ANY AUDIENCE BE INVESTED IN THEM RETURNING TO CYBERTRON? THERE'S NO STAKES!!!

back to the autobots though. also mirage is just annoying. he's literally just a"POP CULTURE REFRENCE" machine. that's it. that's all he does.

i... i can't even address what happens between him and the human guy (literally can't even be bother to remember his name) in the finale. i can't. i need to leave that alone or we'll be here all day.

god, i have so many things to say about this movie i need to speedrun a couple okay let's go

humans. boring. why are these movies about giant robots so determined to shove human characters in our faces they DON'T COMPARE EVER!!! the two humans are? fine? but the dude is literally just hero fantasy and the girl is. unimportant. nothing in this movie is important. you could cut any of them.

the action. mediocre. impossible to enjoy when "GENERIC ACTION ONE LINER!" is being crammed down your throat literally every five seconds.

why did the movie market so heavily with arcee wheeljack and bumblebee. they literally have like 15 total lines of dialogue. i can't express to you how much they don't matter.

and you know what. all of that could have even been forgivable. if they had just bothered to put some classic characters in there, with classic character designs, and make a product that actual fans could at least appreciate in aesthetic/homage, if not writing!

but they didn't. they used random ass characters who NOBODY cares about and gave them all SHIT designs too!

and it's so tragic when you consider all the amazing source material that they have to offer. i mean, i have been begging for YEARs for a movie set on prewar cybertron following megatron. the political conflicts and class wars! the origin of megatron is literally the MOST INTERESTING PART OF HIS CHARACTER! BUT IT HAS NEVER A SINGLE TIME BEEN ADDRESSED! HE GETS REDUCED DOWN TO BIG MUSCLE SCARY GUY WHICH IS LITERALLY!!!!!!!!!!!! THE VERY THING HE REBELLED AGAINST!!!!!!!!!! ITS THE WHOLE FUCKING REASON FOR THE WAR AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

can you tell i have a lot of feelings about this. wow. okay this is so long. i'm sure nobody's acutally read this far. alright. what's left.

what'll i'll say is this.

there is literally no appeal to this movie. NONE. it isn't watchable as a fun, transformers piece come to life. it's not watchable as a quality action movie. hell, it isn't even worth a hate watch!!!!!

and somehow. some fucking how. it is still the second best transformers movie. OUT. OF. SEVEN.

friends. how is this possible. how could this have happened.

to all the fan creators making fan art and writing of this movie. you guys are fucking heros, alright. you are taking this incomprehensible garbage, and making actual art. you guys make this franchise worth staying in. thank you, and i wish someone put you guys in charge instead of MICHEAL. FUCKING. BAY.

in conclusion. fuck hollywood. someone give money to the people who actually care about this franchise. or i'll die.

Alan Wake II - first thoughts, three hours in.

Just got to the start of chapter 3, still spoilering just in case.

(please dont disscus story details in comments/reblogs, thanks!)

IMPORTANT TOP THING: PERFORMANCE ISSUES: the audio keeps fucking skipping during cutscenes and i dont know why. i did the tricks all the wbesites said (move the game to SSD, play in fullscreen) but it keeps going on, which is extremly annoying. the issue is so common and big that i keep seeing guys on the internet complain about it! i want to beleive they are working on patches, but the game has been out for two two months now, and they still haven't acnowlaged the issues at all. Fuck, man. (the rest of the game plays good on my new gpu btw)

So, AW2 is basiclly a resident evil now. I knew it was gonna be a surivial horror, but the way the game and it's puzzles have been set up so far is just like from an RE game, even how parts of the UI or animations look. Not that i mind - remedy is a studio that wears their inspirations on their sleeve and isint afraid to yoink good ideas.

The game plays very nice so far. The atmosphere, the story... it's all very unique and interesting. All the cult stuff is capivating, and i was legit suprised to see nighngale brought back so early and in such a way. In some parts i feel like the story moves too qucikly, with our protagonits accepting the supernatural way too quickly, but maybe its for the better? we don't have to see our characters deny what's right in front of them for hours, it's all clear from the very start. And control did the same thing, with our main gal going along with all the nonsensical crap thrown at her.

speaking of the plot, the case feature is cool. helps organize plot in your head, every goal and thing you should do is clearly expalined and shown right in front of you, even forced for you to come to conclusions yourself. nice. way better then deadly premoniton did it.

Combat is weird so far. i only gotten into two fighting scenarios (not counting the nightingale "boss fight") and they were cool, but i felt like something was off. dodging seems basiclly useless now as enemies can grab you out of it, so the shootout consisted of me running around and picking the taken from the distance. is this the way the game wants me to play it? i don't mind that the game plays differently and more horror-like, but i wish the dodge wasn't so pathetic. boosting your flashlight seems a bit unreliable too, but that could be a set up problem.

i'm trying not the be too negative, since i had a very similar problem with control. in that game, the fights seemed extremly hard and annoying UNTIL you get all the abilites. then the game and it's combat really starts to shine, with flying around, grabbing missles out of the air, doghing, shielding, all that jazz. it's so dynamic and fun then, with all the weird and creative enemy types. i hope that all the weirdness of the combat is just exepriencing some growing pains and it will all fade when i get fully used to how it all works and unlock some upgrades/weapons.

minor complaint - the fbc stuff is, how i predicted, too prominent. don't look so weird at me! i don't mind control referneces and relevance, but from the very beggining of the game it just feels like too much, yknow? the closed gate was fun (and sets up the dlc content), the station and dialouge with casey about it was cute, but it feels like too early for this sort of cameo. sprinkle it in, be subtle - just like control did it with alan! well, until the dlc, but that's excusible since it was an extended teaser for AW2. the previous refrences were there, and a lot of them, but they werent all thrown in the players face. it also feels like those who didint play control would be missing out on important lore and jokes, which would confuse them, which is not great.

in summary, the game seems good so far! there is a lot of weirdness i still have to get used to, but im sure it will all wear down along the way when i play more. I just hope the damn issues will be fixed until then...

I love these two they're so stupid and cute ofc they're fighting about what place they're gonna open akira's ideals vs satoru's flashyness. i like how satoru is the one who dreams big between them while akira is more down to earth and focuses on the things that can make others happy too

An overview of my votes/theories for each prisoner and what I'll probably vote this round before the first second trial video comes out

Haruka: Forgiven->Forgiven

Honestly right now I'm not entirely sure on what he's done, I'm 99% sure he killed his childhood friend and dog but there's gotta be something else right? He killed them as a kid I'm pretty sure yet he's 17, but every other prisoner was taken into Milgram almost straight after their murders, why would there be such a large time gap? I don't believe the brother theory and I don't think he killed his mother. And who noticed him in the end? At first I thought it was referencing Milgram taking him but none of the other characters have refrences to Milgram itself in their first so I have my doubts. He doesn't seem to understand the full extent of what he's done and why it's wrong, and I doubt Milgram forgiving him is helping that but I think he needs safety and love more than he needs to get tortured by some girl with a bat. I am however worried for Mu's safety considering what happened to his childhood friend :(

Overall, he confuses me alot but until I get more info I'll vote him forgiven ♡

Gonna go againt the popular theories here and say her 'sin' wasn't abortion but purposely inducing a miscarriage (potentially multiple) considering how difficult it seems to get an abortion in Japan and her constant stair imagery (her entire first trial video, the picture of her standing atop stairs in Undercover and the stairs in her placard (think that's the right word)). Honestly she just seems depressed and apathetic towards others, hope she gets out of Milgram soon it's bad for her :((((( there's very little I can think of that could be shown in her next video that'd make me unforgive her aswell as make sense so for now it's a very easy forgive ♡

Futa: Unforgiven->Forgiven

His video seems pretty straight forward, harrassing and doxxing ppl online in the name of justice and making himself feel like a hero, until it cost someone their life. It's important to note that in Undercover his victim is depicted still wearing their shoes, unlike the other suicide victims in Milgram who have them off, as in Japan it's common for suicide victims to take their shoes off before committing suicide. There's quite a few reasons they do this, one that stood out to me was to show that they did actually choose to commit suicide and they weren't just murdered or did it accidentally or something. It could be that the victim did it very impulsively, not even thinking of taking their shoes off. It could be a way of them communicating in death that while they did kill themselves, it was more that they were murdered by the people harrassing them (aka Futa). Or it could be that the doxxing led to someone coming to their house and killing them. Could be anything rlly I'm just spitting out ideas! Despite the fact he's a terrible person, he is a good guy. He does all this out of a belief that it's the right thing to do, that by hunting these people online he's making the world a better place and helping the innocent, and I'm pretty sure he never thought it'd get someone killed. I also have my suspicious that he's neglected at home and was bullied in the past, but that's a post for another day

Overall, as disgusting as what he did was, he definitely isn't deserving of what's happening to him now and I love him ♡

Mu: Forgiven->Forgiven

Not much to say here honestly :D no matter how manipulative and annoying she is, no one deserves to be abused to the point of believing their only options are suicide or murder, she did what she had to do ^_^

Shidou: Forgiven->Forgiven

Wow lots of forgiving huh! I have too many thoughts about him that if I tried to write them down it would probably give both of us a migraine. Just know he is a pathetic terrible man that I believe can be redeemed if we just keep forgiving him!!!! Maybe;;

Mahiru: Forgiven->?????

She's like the only character I don't have clear thoughts on. I can't fault her for feeling things so strongly and having an extremely unrealistic view on how love is, but on the other hand I can't forgive her for forcing those feelings and views onto another that they killed themselves after 14 days of knowing her. I'm very worried for her safety, she's clearly physically weak and can't defend herself well at all, and she keeps talking about how she sees no reason in living if her love is denied, and she's no longer wearing shoes (going back to my previous thing about taking shoes off before suicide). We can't let ourselves be guilt tripped into forgiving her however, and the fact that instead of questioning her ideals she's went straight to the extreme makes me question her redeemability

Overall, I'm leaning towards unforgiven but again she just can't understand why what she did is wrong and it's hard for me to condemn someone like that. Love isn't a crime but abuse and stalking sure is

Kazui: Forgiven->Forgiven

Hello! I have been following your project for the past two years, and have come to the conclusion you do not deserve to have Kazui in your prison. He is my boyfriend and seeing him in an environment not meant for him brings me anxiety, so I will be expecting a reply to this post when you have him forgiven and ready to relinquish him to someone who will treasure him like he deserves.

Amane: Forgiven->Unforgiven

So if we forgive her, her belief in her cult is affirmed. If we don't forgive her, she doubles down on her belief in her cult. There's no winning orz. I think from the end of her first video, deep down she knows something is wrong even if she doesn't realise it yet, maybe if we keep pushing she'll start to wake up? If not, well there's no winning either way. Praying for Shidou's safety 🙏 maybe 'praying' isn't the right word but still- she questioned her beliefs in her video afterall, going against what she was told to help that 'cat', maybe she can do it again!

Overall, she's just a kid who was tortured into her murder, but eventually she'll grow up into an adult that'll torture other kids into murder. I'll keep unforgiving her from this point onward, there's very little that'll change that.

Mikoto: Unforgiven->Forgiven

(I'll refer to our mystery alter as 09 in this) So what do we know about 09 so far? Well for starters he's like super depressed! The lyrics in MeMe are very clear about this, showing him asking if it's okay for him to keep on living, saying that he gave up trying to change ect, but he also seems to care deeply about Mikoto, saying he will save him, that he'll do whatever he can to protect him and asking him to rely on him. I'm not entirely convinced that he's saying these things out of genuine concern but instead out of a need to have a purpose but still! We're not given a reason as to why killing is going to help (yet) but I doubt he'd put himself and Mikoto in unnecessary danger and I'm certain we'll understand more soon. As for Mikoto himself, he's a designer 🤢 but he does share a body with this KING so I guess I'll have to forgive him for it

Overall, I'm pretty sure 09 is doing all this with good reason, or atleast good intentions. If murder protects these guys then so be it! ♡

Kotoko: Forgiven->?????

Her video was pretty straight forward, though I can hardly call her a vigilante anymore. How can she say she's defending the weak when she's torturing people with no knowledge of what they've done? Not that torture would be okay if she did but if she's just gonna trust the word of the only authority figure in this prison and nothing else, she's more of a cop than a vigilante. In her video she had an entire board dedicated to hunting down criminals who took advantage of innocents, spending her every minute researching, when she said she was "dedicating her life" she wasn't joking. How can she go from that to beliving the judgment of some random 15 year old in a goofy hat;; I know she bases her entire self worth of being able to bring justice so she's probably been extremely restless in Milgram but still... everyone I've seen talk about her recently has said they can't forgive her anymore, the only reason I'm not 100% unforgiven is because whatever they're gonna show in her second video has to be BIG or there's like no chance of her being forgiven.

Overall, basically unforgiven but I don't think I can make a judgement just yet, I feel something big coming...

I don't think there's any right answers in Milgram, we're really just given 2 bad options (either a character thinks murder is perfectly fine or they get tortured and think they're terrible people who deserve it) and we've gotta pick what we think is better. My opinions change constantly and definitely will as new videos come out so I'm writing them before first second trial song comes out so I can reread it later 👍if you disagree with me then feel free to debate me (please please debate me i will love you forever)

Really had to pick the hardest one didn't you? This took me forever lol. I do like the fact that I'm an insanely stubborn person, it's proven to be a useful trait to have.

I like that I hyperfixate on things. It actually used to bother me because I annoyed people with how I could not stop talking about one thing and it's not fun having an identity crisis every time you're inbetween hyperfixations. But I do like it now, enjoying things the normal amount seems like of boring to me now. Plus being on tumblr means I can interact with people who actually share my hyperfixation and so I can't annoy people with how much I talk about what I'm interested in.

I like my eye color. I have central heterochromia (only hetero thing about me (I've always wanted to make that joke)), so my eyes are like a blue/grey color with a ring of darker grey around the pupil.

I like that I've become a fairly empathetic person, I tend to be the voice of empathy when arguing with people (namely my parents). I try to assume the best in people, and fail just as much as I succeed, but I'm trying.

I like my weird sense of humor, fucked as it is. People rarely get the refrences and jokes I make but that doesn't really bother me cause I made them for my own amusment

venus ⇢ describe your ideal type

I'm genuinely not sure what my type is. I think I tend to like more feminine guys. The girls I've liked in the past have always been way out of my league but for some reason decided they wanted to be friends with me. As for personality, I just want someone who can appreciate all the weird ideas I have and are okay with me being a really awkward person who has a hard time expressing affection. Personality is definitely way more important to me than looks
