"Girl falls into Middle-earth" story but she believes in concealed carry and has a firearm when she gets isekai'd solely so that at one point in the story she can say "and my GUN"

I actually once read a fanfic where a marine fell into Middle-earth. It was really well-written, but unfortunately only three short chapters long. It did get into something very interesting, though; namely ammunition management. The woman in the story got transported to Middle-earth in her full kit, so she had a fair bit of backup, but a normal person would probably just have the 8-10 rounds in her gun. A very interesting conundrum! (Although it's more than likely that once she make the right friends she could get some more made, as they do probably have gunpowder and bullets aren't all that complicated.)

The real question is, does she know about the memes and say it on purpose? Or does it just flow in the moment? Or maybe it flows in the moment and then days later she's thinking about it and remembers the memes.

Everyone's expectations for my future job/university be like:

My aunt: kindergarten teacher

My mom: HR, boss in a hotel, you'll go to that good university nearby

My teacher: that university you liked once, you'll come out as a tour guide probably (or something, that uni has a bunch of different job options relating to the languages they teach you there)

My grandpa(when drunk): doctor

Me: 👁👄👁💢 I don't even know if I passed my exams yet

I have a post in my queue that goes more in-depth in this but I think that the most logical backstory for Alfendi is if he’s adopted, and I was hoping that NWOS would dive more into that and show how he came to be in the Layton family, but after seeing the new trailer… I want it even MORE, HOLY SHIT, I didn’t know I was team American!Alfendi but I AM, HARDCORE.

Are the 3 movies you said someone should have guessed the Hobbit Trilogy? Because some people might consider them to be included with Lord of the Rings?

YES. I have a vague sense that being a fan of Peter Jackson's Hobbit is not the Thing To Do for Serious LOTR Fans (though I would be delighted if that impression were wrong), and I am properly upset by the liberties they took in the second two movies (and the first, to a lesser degree). But at the same time, I do quite love the first one (I tend to get Emotions over Bilbo's speech to the dwarves towards the end), and if you take the whole thing as a very high-budget fanfic, it's rather good. And, if nothing else, I have to love them for how brilliantly they brought to life some of the characters I have loved the longest.

Also, going to follow the lead of Accidental Spice and add in some hints for the remaining movies.

Real Talk about season five and Eddie

So while I’m all for continuing to campaign for Eddie (AND WONT EVER SHUT UP OR GIVE UP) to come back here is what is realistically gonna happen having been through this sort of thing with too many fandoms:

At most they will do a flashback to the direct aftermath of his death and we’ll get a scene of the gang finding dustin crying over his body and how they had to leave him behind. (“To give the emotional impact justice, see we listen to our fans?”)

The “impact” in season five is going to be nothing other than dustin becoming broody and “grown-up” and again as “tribute” they might go so far as to have Dustin wear the battle-vest. (“We really wanted to drive home how much Eddie dying affects Dustin… we know how much everyone loved the character and really wanted to make sure fans know we understand”)

And that folks will be it.

I’ve been around too long to trust these upper-middle class white men with writing stories about underdogs that end with a proper happy ending.

“Doomed” fucking character, I’m not going to watch season five because after that comment, you just know that they’re going to mess up the rest of it too.
