Made this meme some months ago but forgot about it, yesterday some kids at work told me I looked 30 and thought I was talking about my daughter (I'm 18 and I was talking about my cousin)

Ok you know what's kinda funny about "Jackson's Diary", or rather "plot twist-y"?

So, ok, imma be honest, when I started the comic I thought it was bl or lgbt or something. Be it the art or the description or the fact that everything I read is gay, I thought this was some kind of enemies to lovers/as magic stuff is going on around the school or something

I really thought the 2 mains were gonna end up together

And I wasn't the only one who thought that cause a lot of the comments were talking about it

But no. Soon you realize they're all very straight, exer is still in love with his ex girlfriend and Jackson kinda gets in a love triangle with exer's ex and the girl exer bullied last year. Also it's set in like- the 80s? Soo. They probably don't know what gay is. (Or they ignore it yknow)

But....

"Wasn't David bi in the canvas version?" said the comments "Yeah he was I think he liked Exer"

So then I'm trying to figure out if he's bi, and some chapters later he's literally making heart eyes around exer but like, in the background

And he's not that important at the time so I'm like oh ok great he's the comedic relief stereotypical gay character?

And exer is like... straight and in love with David's twin sister so nothing will happen right?

Jokes on me

Like 100 chapters later and this is Exer's reaction to David saying they're friends

Also ok, I know my post is focused around the gay romance here, but like the comic is really interesting I do recommend it

Jackson goes to a new school and he is the only one who can see some kind of "green magic" messing around with his daily life

Shit happens, he makes friends, he gets into love triangles as I mentioned before (not for that long, thankfully) he gets into fights and makes new friends again

The characters are all very interesting, I was gonna say nice, but then realized half of them are assholes, currently it seems like they're trying to be better people tho

And even though it's set in the 80s it seems most of the main characters were accepting of the lgbt ones (well ok so far 2 people know about it so yknow, ) the only assholes were some bullies literally called Rick and Marty who used gay as a slur or something like 50 chapters ago

Well, and I can't really say anything much without spoiling more, I've already talked enough about their sexualities I'm not telling you what's happening with the green stuff

Like one time I realized that for like 3 months I believed someone's parents were soldiers

Nowhere had they mentioned their parents' occupation. I just believed for like 3 months their parents were soldiers for no reason

I've seen a lot of posts saying that "It's okay if being lgbt was a phase for you", and I know that you're gonna say it's not a phase

And it's not. For most of us

But there are people who may have identified as bi for a while and later found out they were gay, lesbian maybe even straight

Maybe people thought they were lesbians but were actually pan

Someone could identify as asexual but later figure they're demisexual

Maybe they identified as something, but later figured out they were straight

All this journey... is personal and maybe you're not sure for your identity yet, maybe you want to keep it personal, maybe you're coming to terms with it

When someone is figuring their sexuality, or maybe they already have, they don't owe it to anyone else

When they feel like it, maybe they tell people who they care about

Maybe they shout it from rooftops, maybe they whisper it to the mirror

So many posts telling people "you don't have to come out. Do it when you're ready. When you're safe"

And yet... an 18 year old boy was forced to come out

Why? Because he's famous? There could be a million reasons he didn't want to come out yet (or never)

Kit is just a year older than me.

Why did he have to come out?

I don't think I would come out to the whole world in a year either, the only reason *I* am out on the internet is because I'm no one, I'm anonymous here, you know me as Sugar, you don't know where I live, who I am and what I do

What If I was in the cast too? No one in my family knows I'm lgbt, let's say I had the chance to play a character, cool, then what, would the internet force me to come out to the whole world? To my mom? My aunts and uncles? My Grandparents?

I did came out when I was younger, to my friends, and I have regretted telling 2 people, because we weren't close then or because we lost touch later

I also came out earlier than I should have, I was still figuring it out at the time

But I did, and it was my choice

I came out as bi,

But now I'm questioning I might be on the ace spectrum too, would I need to come out twice?

If I was famous too, would people say I queerbaited them for figuring stuff out? About my personal life?

What if I never wanted to came out? I'm also a demigirl, but I don't want to come out, that's my thing, it's personal and it doesn't change the way I dress or act, or even my pronouns cause 'they' can't be used in my 1st language

I want to keep this thing for me

If I was famous and had the chance to wear a binder, would people say I queerbaited them? Would they force me to tell the world I'm not cis?

I'm not famous, but Kit is just a year older than me. We could have been in the same school (in a different world)

You don't know his personal life, he could be dating someone he knew for years, he could be single, maybe his parents know he's bi, maybe he doesn't want to tell them, maybe he was figuring stuff out, maybe being bi was his thing, his thing that he wanted to keep to himself

And people took that away from him

My mom lies about her age but in the opposite direction which has led me to forget her age and I have to do math to find it

Like some years, ago it was like a week before her birthday (she would be turning 43) and she was like "I'm old! Im 44 oh!" And I'm like. No.

You are still 42. You haven't entered the 43 stage yet when did you become 44????

And like the last years she's been saying "I'm 50, I'm 50" no??

Like I thought she finally reached 50 and I did the math(2024-1975) 49 but ACTUALLY her birthday is on December so she IS ACTUALLY STILL 48

What will she say when she actually turns 50? That's she's 60? Help

No one asked but I'll give some lore on Ksit and Dog (my first ever ocs that I created when I was like 4) which were literally my right and left hand anthropomorphized in the imagination of a child

So, που λέτε. The plot changed a lot of times with a lot of uh... Time traveling (not canon, I think) cause I didn't know what was going on either

Ksit and Dog (PS I didn't know English he's not named dog🐶 he's named Ντογκ)were twins but in their world twins were forbidden cause people thought twins were evil and like, had evil plans to mock or fool people, with their evil plans

So they threw the babies away in an island, which was like, απέναντι. Either the parents went there with a boat to abandon the babies or, they like put them in a little boat to send them there idk

Now here's where the plot gets confusing. Cause I remember being a kid, Ksit and Dog worked in.... A studio? I'm not sure what the fuck was happening but it was technically my body, cause Γλωθθας (Tongue, mispronounced) was like the boss/god of the boys. I think Ksit might have been famous, but bc they were keeping their twiness a secret they might have been changing places idk

I picked favorites honestly and I don't think I liked dog very much...

... Also ksit had a second job undersea, like, he went to the sea, opened a door and went underground in a lab where there were miniatures of everyone and I think he was like, controlling? Or like looking after them, I'm not sure

Maybe dog messed reality once and that's why I don't like him idk

But like, idk if that's canon in the story, cause at some point

They do end up in the island (oh yeah not sure if this was clear, they weren't there so far)

Maybe they run away? Oh maybe the people found out about their double identity and they run away or something idk

But yeah, thing is they weren't babies when they went to the island and for some reason they were strong and smart

So at some point the find or see parents leaving their babies there

And they take care of them and raise them and at some point theres a whole mini town of kid twins and the bosses Ksit and Dog

Also they tame the wild animals like Leon or Leonard the lions, and I think they can speak with them cause they grew up there

Also not sure how timing works cause I'm pretty sure I never considered ksit and Dog old adults but there were kid twins they raised at like their 12-15 or something which I considered teenagers

I guess ksit and Dog were like in their 20s

Actually no. They didn't age. They were always an... age. Not sure what age

At some point I did give them girlfriends. I don't remember where they came from maybe they were homeless but they spawned in the island one day I think their names were Lily and Lila or something

I think by the end there's like a revolution or something or the people realize the law banning twins is stupid cause they go back to get their kids back

And ksit and Dog live with their parents at some point and I think the girls are neighbors

Now that I have written everything down, probably for the first time ever. I have a lot of plot holes lmao. Cause they lived in... The town? For a while but besides Tongue I don't remember them having parents but then I just made them roommates

Forgot to mention tho, the secondary characters Ksitdog and Dogksit which were my legs... They worked in the studio. I think they... Look the studio was my body, they might have been walls. Cause I was sitting on the floor. Or like helpers? For each hand idk idk

But they no longer existed after the studio arc disappeared

You know. This story was ongoing since I was 4 to like 11 (just repeating itself with very little progress when I was bored and just like thinking about them) well like, I thought this when I was trying to sleep so yeah

But if I have to guess now or like make the plot better I'd say maybe the law happened bc ksit and Dog fooled the people with whatever they were doing in the studio

Or you know I could make tongue the father who tried to hide the kids but like making then swap places but then they were found out and sent away

Okay enough

At this point I just want to apologize to any twins existing out there

I'm sorry the imaginary town in my head banned you cause of your evil plans

Not only was I a cringe teenager I was also a cringe toddler, why couldn't I have made a cool story with dragons or something why did I ban the twins

Differences between the manhwa and kdrama I noticed:

(Or like more fun facts about the comic)

Tw: death, attempted murder, suicide

Minwhan dies in a car accident. He messed with his car on purpose trying to get Sumin killed the next day (I think they were supposed to go on vacation) but he's suddenly called to go to the hospital to his dying mother and he drives there drunk without brakes and ends up in a river

His mother had like a heart attack or something during a fight with Sumin in which she walked out and left her mother in law to be found by her husband hours later (or the next day I'm not sure) she then pretended to take care for her in the hospital while she actually just worsened her condition to get rid of her so she wouldn't talk and bc she's was a bitch (ps for some reason she couldn't talk while she was in the hospital)

Sumin was arrested for killing her mil

At Minwhan's and his mom's funeral the father was the one who blamed Jiwon

Jihyeok wasn't engaged

After Jiwon's funeral Jihyeok took a taxi (her dad was the driver) and asked to go in the middle of a bridge. He then walked into the water and that was how he died instead of a car crash like the series

At the end they adopt a little girl whose mom died in the hospital Jiwon was (the boss? Manager? Someone important I don't remember, did she make the hospital? For cancer patients?)

Mr Lee was younger than Juran and that's why she kept rejecting him after he had asked her out many times since she believed he should get married with a younger woman

He wasn't actually her lawyer but his brother. He was the youngest brother of... a big family I think and he made a contract (?) With his parents that it was OK if he didn't got married. Also something about the inheritance I think

Juran actually caught her husband with his girlfriend on the bed when she called the police

Her husband later tried to kidnap Yeonji

Eunho actually worked in a nearby Cafe. He kept an extra sweet for Jiwon everyday but she never came to eat it

Huiyeon however ate it. And they slowly fell in love

Huiyeon calls Eunho "Coco"

Eunho didn't participate in the meal kit like he did in the series

Ps it's been a while since I read the comic and most of these were thoughts I had while watching the kdrama

Also while writing this I was also checking their names' spelling and came across this

Um ok apparently Yura existed (just not in the comic?) And

Well I guess the novel was more different than I thought

Perhaps I should read it

Whenever someone asks me if I'm from the "Χώρα" (literally meaning "country" which is what some islands use to call their main city or something) I get to say we don't have a chora cause we're not like other smallish islands 🙄 we have a town like normal people do

And then I tell then I'm from a village

... no but like for real. I do think Chora sounds stupid. You're a small island and you call your small town Country? Cmon.

We call our town "Town of [Island name]" or just [Island name]

I mean mostly we call it [Island name] but you might here someone call it "town"

Which might be confusing to outsiders

Like when we're *in* the island and we say "let's go to [island name]" we understand we mean the town

But the other day I was talking with a friend from uni and I said something like "In [island name] there are 2 parkings" and I was only referring to the town. Now I wonder whether she thinks we only have two parkings in the whole island
