An eventful holiday - Thea Queen x Male!reader
Tumblr media
A/N: based off the 1x09 holiday episode because I've started a DC show rewatch and forgot how much of a crush I used to have on Thea
When Oliver came back from the dead he had a lot of new things he had to adjust to, one of the hardest being that his little sister who was only twelve the last time he saw her was now seventeen with a boyfriend.
He wanted an opportunity to bring his family closer after learning they stopped celebrating Christmas when he and his father went missing so Oliver planned a big Christmas party to make up for lost time.
However he didn't expect you to be invited as Thea's plus one.
He, Thea, Moira and Walter just got their photo taken when you walk in holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Hi, uh Thea invited me," you say seeing the angry look on Oliver's face, "Mrs. Queen these are for you."
You hand Moira the flowers and she thanks you, Thea kissing you on the cheek and showing you to the food table.
"I didn't get a chance to tell you how amazing you look tonight," you smile, grabbing a christmas cookie and taking a bite of it.
"You clean up pretty nice yourself," she says, drinking a glass of champagne and taking in the sight of you in your suit.
"Well I wanted to impress your brother, I don't think he likes me very much," you admit.
"Because he doesn't know you and he still doesn't want to believe I'm not a little kid anymore," she tells you.
"Maybe we should hang out sometime, just the three of us so he and I can actually get to know each other," you suggest.
"You're putting in a lot of effort to get the approval of my brother," she chuckles.
"That's because I love you, I want him to know that I'm serious about us and would never do anything to hurt you."
Thea smiles and kisses you sweetly, putting her empty glass down on the table, "I love you too and I think we should go upstairs for some privacy so I can give you your christmas present."
"But we exchanged gifts already," You say confused as you and Thea had a small get together with your family a few days prior.
"This is the part of your gift that I couldn't give you in front of your parents," she grins.
You had no idea what was in store for you but you quickly down a glass of champagne as she takes your hand and guides you towards the stairs.
Oliver sees this and glares at you, about to follow you two with intentions of kicking you out of the party but his mother puts her hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Let them be Oliver," Moira says calmly.
"You're really okay with what they are going to do up there?" Oliver huffs.
"They are young and in love, in case you've forgotten your father and I tried to stop you sneaking around with girls when you were their age and yet you still always found a way," she chuckles.
"She's not ready to be in a relationship this serious," Oliver states.
"And you were?" Moira laughs, "you have to accept that Thea is not the same twelve year old she was when you left."
"Excuse me mom, I need to get some air," Oliver sighs, heading to the front door.
Meanwhile upstairs you are sitting on Thea's bed as she locks her door, sauntering towards you and climbing in your lap.
"Go ahead and unzip my dress," she says and you reach up, pulling the zipper down her chest to reveal the black lacy bra she has underneath.
"Wow," you mutter, the top of her dress falling off her shoulders and bunching around her waist.
"You like it?" She asks it.
"You are so beautiful Thea," you say putting your hands on her waist and kissing her deeply.
The kiss intensifies, Thea slipping your suit jacket off and tossing it to the floor before unbuttoning your shirt.
You pick her up and flip her over, letting her get comfortable against the pillows.
Thea moans softly as you kiss down her neck and along her chest while pulling her dress the rest of the way off her body exposing the lacy black panties that matched her bra.
"Merry Christmas Y/N," she says, biting her lip.
"This just may be the best gift I've ever received," you mutter, your lips traveling along her stomach which results in her hips rocking up for any form of friction.
You spend a while exploring her body and working her up, fully enjoying your gift, your fingers are gently rubbing her over the lace and her arousal is starting to soak through the material so you finally rid her of it.
You stand up and remove the rest of your clothes as well but look around, "Wait where's my jacket?"
You spot it on the floor and dig around in the inside pocket pulling a condom out.
"Were you expecting to get laid tonight?" Thea teases as she lifts her chest up to unclip her bra and tosses it aside.
"Not at all but it's always better to be prepared right," you chuckle, taking the condom out and rolling it on.
You reposition yourself back on top of her, spreading her legs apart and settling in between them.
Thea gasps when you ease the tip of your cock inside her, slowly pushing it the rest of the way in.
"Does this feel okay?" You ask and she nods.
You give a few rolls of your hips so she has a chance to adjust before you find a more steady rhythm.
She throws her head back, her chest in the air so you take the opportunity to nip at her neck and collarbones.
"Just like that," she moans, grasping at the sheets under her.
After a few minutes she feels her release approaching and reaches down, rubbing firm circles over her clit.
"I'm so close," she groans.
"Me too," you grunt, picking up the pace.
With just a few more thrusts Thea is cumming, her walls tightening around your cock and her eyes rolling back.
Seeing her like this takes you over the edge as well, riding out your highs together.
After cleaning yourselves up you're blissfully laying naked in her bed, a sheet loosely around your waists with her head on your chest when there's an urgent knocking on her door.
"Thea make yourself decent quickly, Diggle just called and Oliver's been in a motorcycle accident we need to go to the hospital right away," her mother says through the door with an obvious worry in her voice.
"Oh my god," Thea says, jumping out of bed and grabbing her clothes off the floor.
"Hey, what can I do for you?" You ask trying to comfort her as you both get redressed.
Thea opens her door surprised to see her mom is still standing there.
"Y/N you can help by seeing our guests out after we leave," Moira says.
"Of course Mrs. Queen," you say awkwardly, pulling your suit jacket on and kissing Thea's forehead before heading downstairs.
"Walter is bringing the car around," Moira says as they follow suit, "and Thea dear fix your dress, I do hope you two were using protection in there."
"Mom now is not the time for that!" Thea yelps in embarrassment realizing her dress is still half unzipped.
Well this certainly was the most eventful holiday Thea has had in a long time.

Summary: When that yacht went down, you lost everything. But now, Oliver is back
A/N: Welcome to book place’s one year event!!
Inspired by: Paradise by Coldplay
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
When she was just a girl, she expected the world
“Have fun,” You smiled as you hugged your father, turning your head to place a kiss on his cheek.
He matched your smile, hugging you back tightly, “Don’t get too comfortable around here without us,” He teased, “We’ll be back before you know it.”
“We’re counting on it.” Your mother said with a smile, watching as her husband turned to her with a large grin.
As the two of them said goodbye, you turned towards your twin brother, and you scoffed playfully, “Just get out of here.” You rolled your eyes but couldn’t hold back the smile that broke out on your face.
He matched your sarcasm by crossing his arms over his chest and lightly glaring at you, “Yeah, yeah, I’ll miss you too.”
The grin widened on your face and you took a step forward, wrapping your arms around Oliver’s torso as he hugged you back in return.
Your brother turned his head slightly and planted a kiss on the side of your head in his own farewell.
“Make sure the yacht doesn’t sink.” You joked, not quite understanding the power behind your words.
“Don’t worry,” Oliver reached out and teasingly ruffled your hair, “I know how to swim.”
But it flew away from her reach
“-and then the boat went down,” The officer in front of you had his hat off and he stared at the three of you sympathetically.
Immediately, Thea fell against your mother with a loud cry leaving her lips as tears began to roll down her face like a waterfall. Moira tightly grasped onto her and held her to her chest while they sobbed together for the loss of your father and brother.
But you stood there, feet rooted in place and heart frozen over, you were sure that it had stopped beating.
Your brother- your twin brother- was dead. Your other half was gone. And though the two of you didn’t always see eye to eye on everything, you were still each other's best friend. You knew everything about each other and now that he was gone, you were certain that you would fade away into nothing.
Because without Oliver, where did you stand? How could you be expected to walk through life without your partner in crime by your side?
You were barely able to register the way your mother moved to wrap an arm around you, and how her and Thea clung to you. But you were still yet to move, to show any sign of what you were feeling, to look away from the officer.
“I understand that this is a lot to take in-“ He didn’t even finish his sentence before you slammed the door in his face.
Thea and your mother whipped their heads up and their lips parted in shock to see your arm still outstretched to where you closed the door.
Without a word, you shrugged off their hands and turned on your heel and walked away.
So she ran away in her sleep
“At least take a moment to think about this,” Moiras voice was desperate, begging, “We barely just had a their funeral, I don’t think you’re in the right state of mind-“
You cut her off as you slammed down the top of your suitcase and leveled a glare at her, “I am in the right frame of mind,” You moved around her to begin collecting things off of your desk and placing them in a bag, “And what I’m thinking is that I need to get the hell out of the place that’s reminding me so much of my dead father and twin brother.”
The words made her recoil, as if struck, but you couldn’t find it in yourself to care. You had spoken the truth, it hurt more to stay in a place that reminded you so much of them than not.
“You can’t just leave your family at a time like this,” She whispered, eyes filling up with tears.
It seemed like all of you had cried enough tears to last a lifetime after the reality of the situation had finally crashed over you at the funeral and you had broken down in a pile of sobs. You were surprised to see that she could still cry, you had thought that all three of you would have long since run out of tears.
Finally, you sighed and gently placed your bag down, softening at your mothers voice and making your way over to where she stood before wrapping your arms around her, “It’ll be alright,” It was an empty promise, and you both knew it.
She sniffled, holding you against her tightly and whispering in your ear, “Where are you even going?”
You cleared your throat, slowly pulling away, “I don’t know yet.” You answered honestly, “But I promise I’ll call you soon to let you know I’m alright.”
There was hesitation and fear clear as day present in her face, but you paid it no mind as you picked your bags up and made your way out of the room, bidding her one last farewell.
You froze in your steps though when you sucked in a sharp breath. Thea was standing right outside your door, staring up at you with those wide eyes of hers.
“Where are you going?” She asked softly.
A sigh left your lips and you gently brought the girl in for a hug, “I just have to go away for a little while, Thea,” You whispered, “I need to clear my head.”
She bit down on her lip and averted her gaze from your own, “For how long?”
“I don’t know. But I promise, I will be back.”
Dreamed of para-para-paradise
Your eyes snapped open and you flew up into a sitting position, breathing coming out rapidly and in gasping spurts.
It had been three years since the yacht went down and you were still yet to come home after all that time. You had moved to a nearby city, only communicating with your family every so often to let them know that you were still alright.
But no matter how much time passed, you could never shake that feeling of wrongness.
Somewhere inside you, against every bone of better judgment, you believed that Oliver was still alive. You knew it was wrong and you knew that it was nothing but false hope. But no matter what you tried, no matter how much you begged yourself to move on, you couldn’t.
How could you? After being told what had happened and it was as if half of your soul had been ripped out?
The nightmares began the day you recived the news. Senerios flashing in your mind of what could have happened. Of all the different painful ways your brother could have died. Your mind was a never ending torment of the whole thing.
Once you were finally able to get your breathing under control, you dropped your head into your hands and ran them down your face with a groan.
Your head picked up after a moment and your eyes subconsciously found the small picture frame that sat on your beside table.
In it, Oliver had his arm slung over your shoulder with a wide grin as you doubled over laughing at something that he undoubtedly said. It was your sixteenth birthday and you both looked so happy, so free. So oblivious to what was to come.
It had taken you about two and a half years before you could put that picture up without feeling like you were painfully being stabbed in the heart. But even now, it wasn’t the easiest thing to look at.
Para-para-paradise, para-para-paradise
Five years. That’s how long it’s been. That’s how much time passed and you had finally, after all these years, begun to learn how to burden your pain correctly. How to be able to still live your life without him by your side.
That’s why you decided to return home for the first time since the funeral.
Just a few days ago, you had called home with the news and both your mother and Thea seemed ecstatic, much to your relief. You had been worried that they would scoff and turn their noses up at you that you were finally coming back after all these years of pushing them away.
It wouldn’t be a permanent move, just for a few days, to see how things were. Because despite everything you had been through in the last few years, you still had a life that you built in your new home for yourself, and you weren’t quite ready to abandon it entirely.
Now, as you stood, staring up at your childhood home, the one you had almost never dreamed of returning to, you were hit with a wave of reluctance.
What if too much had changed over the years? What if your family had just felt inclined to allow you back, only doing so because of the guilt that they felt?
You nawed on your bottom lip as you contemplated the possibilities, but ultimately came to the conclusion that you needed to get over yourself and you confidently pushed the door open with slightly more force than was probably necessary.
“Y/n?” Thea’s voice bounced off the walls and reached your ears the second you stepped into the entryway.
Quickly, your head snapped over to where your sister who was not so little anymore and smiling brightly, came bounding down the stairs and flinging herself across the room to come crashing into your arms.
“Thea,” You breathed out, allowing your eyes to flutter shut in contempt as you hugged her tightly to your chest. You had missed her far too much.
A new voice- more like a gasp- reached your ears and you opened your eyes to come face to face with your mother.
Quietly, Thea slipped out of your hold and stepped back to give you and your mother a moment.
Moira brought a shaky hand up to her mouth as tears filled in her eyes. It was almost as if she hadn’t expected you to actually come today.
“Hey, mom,” You greeted quietly, being the one to take the striding steps to meet her where she stood in the doorway and wrap your arms around her.
“Oh,” She breathed out, hugging you to her tightly and placing a tearful kiss on the side of your head, “I missed you so much, sweetheart.”
Every time she closed her eyes
You let out a loud laugh, throwing your head back and letting your eyes crinkle up as giggles left your mothers and sisters lips as well at the story Moira had just told.
The three of you were sitting around the dining room table, chatting about what had happened in the last five years and eating lunch.
At first, you thought it would be an awkward and stiff conversation, but you soon realized that your family missed you just as much as you had missed them, so you were able to flow into a lunch that consisted of laughter and catching up.
“Ma’am,” A voice tentatively called out from the doorway, a worker stood there hesitantly, seemingly embarrassed for interrupting, “There’s a phone call for you.”
Moira was still sobering up her chuckles as she answered, “Take a message and tell them I’ll get back to them as soon as I can.”
“Ma’am,” She said again, a little bit more confident this time, “It’s the hospital.”
All three of you fell into complete silence as the words dawned on you. The only family you still had was sitting in this room, so what could they want?
Wordlessly, your mother stood up and followed the worker out of the room, leaving you and Thea to share a worried glance behind her back.
A few moments later, you heard a sharp gasp come from the direction and you and your sister immediately shot to your feet and rushed into the room.
Your mother stood in the middle of the room with a phone grasped tightly in her hand and tears flowing freely down her face with a hand placed over her mouth for the second time that day.
“Mom? Mom?” Panic began settling in the pit of your stomach as you hurried to her side and gently took a hold of one of her shoulders, “What is it? What’s wrong?”
Painfully slow, she turned her body to face you and over her shoulder you could see Thea watching the two of you with worry.
Your mother then breathed out the one thing that made your heart stop.
“Oliver…”
“Ollie?” Thea came to your side, “What about him?”
“He’s… he’s alive.” Moira cried out, dropping the phone onto the carpeted floor and throwing her arms around the two of you.
But you were frozen in shock.
Oliver was alive. Oliver was alive. Oliver was alive. Oliver was alive. Oliver was-
“Oh my god,” You sobbed out, legs giving out and falling to the floor. You could no longer support yourself.
He was alive.
When she was just a girl she expected the world
“He’s right through here,” You barely even registered the doctor's words as he led you through the halls, “But just be careful Mrs and Miss Queen, this isn’t the same Oliver that you lost.”
Forcefully, Moira made herself plant her feet as she watched you practically float through the air and towards the door that had just been guestered to. As much as she longed to follow after you, she knew that you needed more than anyone to go in before a single other person could see him. She owed you that much.
For some incomprehensible reason, your mind was completely blank, almost as if you had gone into autopilot. Nothing of what you had done as soon as you heard the news had been by your own free will. It was as if something had possessed you and tossed your conscience to the side.
You opened the door and took a step inside. The snapping sound of it closing seemed to finally break you out of whatever trance you had been placed in and you blinked once. Twice.
A very tall figure that stood with his back facing towards you turned around at the sound, and you felt like you were going to pass out.
He was Oliver Jonas Queen, there was no doubt about it, but he had changed so much. He was taller, more muscular, so much more mature looking.
There was something behind those stunning blue eyes of his that automatically led you to believe that he had become a guarded man, holding secrets that you couldn’t even begin to guess.
Something about being on that island- as you had briefly been informed on the way over- had changed him. The only thing you couldn’t tell from a single glance was if it was for better or worse.
“Ollie,” You breathed out. It was the only thing that you could say.
“N/n,” He smiled softly, striding across the room and gently wrapped his strong arms around you.
“I-I-“ You stuttered incomprehensibly before throwing your arms around his torso in a desperate manner, “Ollie-“ You sobbed into his chest, a fresh set of tears emerging from your eyes and staining his- no doubt- new shirt.
He didn’t seem to care in the slightest though, only strengthening his hold around you, letting out an almost inaudible sigh of contentment as he did so.
“You’re here,” You whispered, almost as if saying the words aloud would send him away again, making him disappear into nothing.
“I’m here.” He repeated, placing a kiss on your forehead, “I’m here.” There was such intensity in his relief that you began to fear all the things he had been forced to go through.
You pulled away with a tearful smile, the first genuine one that you wore since before his disappearance and cupped his cheek with a disbelieving laugh, “You’re really here.”
But it flew away from her reach
“Thea?” You knocked on her open door and stuck your head in with a wide grin, “It’s time for dinner, you coming?”
She snapped her head up from staring at her hands from where she sat on her bed and you immediately realized the way her eyes were red and puffy, cheeks stained with tear marks.
Worry grasped onto your body and wrapped itself around you as you automatically rushed to her side and crouched down before her, older sister instincts kicking in, “Hey, hey,” You said softly, “What is it? What’s wrong?”
Your sister shook her head, chuckling tearfully and wiping her tears away with the back of her hand, “No, nothing. I’m just so happy.”
A smile of relief grew on your face when you realized that she was alright and you reached up to gently swipe a stray piece of hair away from her eyes, “I know, I am too.”
“It’s just- I finally have both of my siblings back.” She breathed out with a wide grin.
Your smile, however, faltered at her words, “What do you mean?” You asked quietly.
Her eyes flitted up to you and she bit down on her lip guiltily when she realized what she said and she shrugged, “No, it- it’s just- it always felt like I lost both you and Oliver when his ship went down.”
Your heart dropped to the bottom of your stomach and your breath caught in your throat, “Oh, Thea-“
“I’m not trying to make you upset,” She immediately rushed out, “It’s just- you left right after Oliver disappeared and it just felt like both of you had died even though I knew that you hadn’t.”
Tears of your own began to fill your eyes, one of sadness for the first time that day, “I’m so sorry.” You whispered, “I never- never meant to do that to you, Thea. I-I just couldn’t stay after everything-“
“And I know that,” She gave you a soft smile and squeezed your hand, “I know that you had to do what you had to do. I’m just happy that you’re both back.”
A smiled sadly, moving another piece of hair behind her hair, “I am too.”
And the bullets catch in her teeth
“Come on, you have to admit, that was fun.” You spoke with a large smile as you swung your arm around and linked it with your twin brothers.
Oliver smiled, placing his hands in his pockets with his arm still wrapped around yours, “It was.” He agreed.
The two of you had just gone out to lunch with Tommy, figuring that it would be best for all three of you to catch up at the same time, given that you all used to be- and still are- best friends.
You turned down an alleyway to take a shortcut to where you parked your car, happily chatting away with one another.
Ever since he got back, the two of you hardly left each other's sides. It felt more comfortable- safer- to be in the vicinity of each other whenever you could. Almost as if that would lessen the chances of the other being taken away once more.
“Freeze!” A deep voice sounded behind you all of a sudden, and you both halted in your steps, “Now turn around with your hands up.”
Quickly, your panic filled eyes flitted over to Oliver, making brief eye contact with him and he gave a subtle nod of his head to let you know to do as was said.
You both turned on your heels with your arms partially raised, and your breath caught in your throat when you caught sight of a man pointing a gun straight at you two with a ski mask pulled over his face.
“Give me your wallets.” He demanded.
No. No. No. No. No. No-
This couldn’t be happening. You just got Oliver back, you would not let anything take him away from you once again.
Quickly, you reached into your pocket and pulled out your wallet, drawing the man’s attention away from your brother long enough for him to shift his body in front of yours slightly.
You stuck your arm out to hand it to the man, and when he moved the gun into one hand and began to reach for it, Oliver quickly stuck his own arm out, slamming his fist into the side of the man’s face.
You stumbled back as the man’s eyes rolled back and he fell unceremoniously to the ground. Knocked out cold before he even hit the pavement.
Oliver let out a sigh through his nose, not even flinching upon the impact of his fist with the man’s jaw before turning back towards you.
“Are you okay?” He asked worriedly, eyes scanning over you for any sign of injury.
All you could manage was a small nod of assurance.
Before the island, the only fights Oliver ever got in were bar fights. Ones filled with sloppy punches and slurred insults. Never had he ever actually learned how to fight for real, let alone know how to punch a man out cold in one go and not look even remotely fazed.
“What happened to you on that island?”
It was the dreaded question. The ‘do not go there’ topic. Something that every single person had been avoiding since his return.
The man stiffened in front of you, “I don’t want to talk about the island.”
There was that look again. The one you saw in the hospital when you first went to retrieve him. That guarded, cold look that held secrets that clearly had restricted access.
“We have to at some point,” Your voice was now coming out as begging, “It can’t be healthy to keep all that bottled up! God knows what you were forced to go through. And I just want to help-“
“You can help by leaving it alone.” He snapped.
At his words, your spine snapped upright and a hard look of your own overcame your features, “Fine.” You said in a cold tone that could rival his.
All at once, he softened and ran a hand down his face with a sigh, “Look, I’m sorry, n/n. It’s just-“ He took a stuttered breath, “It’s just a lot.”
You softened as well, “I know that,” You mumbled, crossing your arms over your chest, “And I’m not trying to force it out of you. I just want to be here if you need to talk about it.”
“I know,” He walked over and hugged you, “I know. And I appreciate that, n/n, I really do.”
Life goes on, it gets so heavy
“I feel like I don’t even know you anymore, Oliver!” You shouted.
Ever since that day in the alleyway, something seemed to change in your twin brother. No longer did he stick by you every available moment, he now distanced himself from you- from everybody.
“You’re always running off to god knows where, doing god knows what!” You continued, feelings anger and betrayal and nervousness rising inside of you, “We just got you back, and you seem hell bent on making us lose you again!”
Oliver stood stiffly across from you in the living room, arms crossed over his chest and head bowed to the floor. Not once did he shout back, he just took your words with that guarded exterior of his.
“Just talk to me!” You begged now, “I’m not asking you to tell me about those five years- that’s your own business to tell at your own leisure. But I’m your twin sister for god's sake! Tell me what’s going on with you now- in the present.”
“It’s… complicated.” He finally spoke and raised his head to meet your burning gaze, “I promise, I’m only trying to protect you-“
You let out a loud scoff, throwing your arms up mockingly, “Yeah, sure feels like it!”
Anger finally seeped through his mask and painted his features, “What do you want me to say, Y/n? What- you want me to be the same person that I was before the island? You want us to tell each other everything again as if we aren’t grown fucking adults?” His voice gradually raised throughout his small speech until you physically flinched back at the volume of it.
Both of you stood, chests heaving up and down in short pants as you tried to catch your breaths, and for a few moments, that was the only sound echoing in the vast room.
“Fine.” It was your turn to put on a cold exterior, “Fine, you’re right, Oliver. We don’t know each other and we don’t have to. Why would we? We’re ‘grown fucking adults’. We don’t need each other anymore. We’re not children.”
His arms dropped to his sides, “That’s not what I meant, and you know it.”
You shook your head and backed up, holding your hands up in surrender, “No, no. I think that’s exactly what you meant.”
“Y/n-“ He called, but it was too late. You had already stormed out of the room.
The wheel breaks the butterfly
“How did you know I’d be up here?” You mumbled, not lifting your head from where it rested upon your knees that were pulled to your chest.
Moira sighed, carefully lowering herself to sit beside you on the roof, “You used to come up here all the time whenever you and your brother got into a fight.”
You winced slightly, “You heard that?”
She hummed, “Put on quite a show for me and Thea… while on the other side of the house.”
“Sorry about that,” You whispered, taking your sleeve and rubbing the tear stains off your face.
“Oh,” She breathed out sympathetically, reaching over and rubbing your back comfortingly, “It’s alright, sweetheart. You both just said some things you didn’t mean, nothing you can’t come back from.”
You looked at her uncertainty, “Are you sure? We were both pretty brutal.”
Your mother wrapped her arm around your shoulder and allowed you to rest your head on her own, “That’s true, but you and I both know that you two can’t go very long in an argument without making up.”
“I know that,” You whispered, “But that was before. We’re both different people now.”
You missed the way she lifted her head to look at the window she had just crawled out of to come see you, “That’s true. I don't think either of you could last in your arguments as long as you used to.”
Confusion overtook your features and you turned your head up to her with furrowed eyebrows, but her eyes were trained elsewhere. You followed her line of vision and paused. Oliver stood on the roof, looking as if he had just climbed out.
Moira left a lingering kiss on the top of your head before walking back into the house, offering your brother a reassuring smile on her way.
Wordlessly, Oliver sat down beside you, staring out at the garden that you could overlook from where you were perched.
At the same time, you both turned to each other and synchronously said, “I’m sorry.”
You chuckled slightly when you did so, each relaxing slightly.
“I didn’t mean it- any of it.” Oliver said, turning apologetic.
“I know,” You stated, “Neither did I. Its- it’s just that after everything we went through-“
He cut you off by wrapping an arm around your shoulders like your mother just had and pulling you into his side. Oliver dipped his head to give you a kiss on the top of your head, “I know. I know.”
The two of you fell into a silence that lasted until you finished watching the sun fully set.
Every tear a waterfall
“This is the first time I’m seeing this since the funeral.” You admitted, swinging your arms back and forth by your side.
Oliver turned to you, “Never felt like coming to visit me?” He teased.
You shook your head, “It wasn’t that.” You admitted, “I moved out as soon as the funeral was over.”
Your brother faltered in his steps before catching up to where you now stood, feet planted in front of his and your fathers empty graves.
“You moved out?” He asked in surprise, this being the first he was hearing of it.
“Yeah,” You laughed slightly, “The day you came back was actually the first day I had come to visit home. Looks like we both thought that would be the perfect day to do so. Maybe it’s a twin thing.” You hummed thoughtfully at the end.
“I-I didn’t know you left.” He stuttered out, turning to look at you.
You were slightly taken aback by the way he was taking the news, “Well, yeah… it hurt too much to stay here.” You explained, head tilting slightly as you tried to figure out why this was such a big deal to him.
“I thought- I thought you were still here after all this time.”
“Oliver,” You laughed slightly, “What’s the big deal? I’m here now.”
He shook his head, “It’s just- I thought you had mom and Thea to look after you all this time- and now I find out that you were alone for everything?”
You fell silent, finally seeing what the big deal was for him, “Oh,”
Tears shone in his eyes, “I went through all of it alone- but that doesn’t mean I wanted you to as well.”
“Ollie…” This was the first time since his return that you saw him get so emotionally upset over something.
“Why didn’t you stay with them? Why didn’t they stop you from leaving?” He asked suddenly, “They could’ve taken care of you-“
“Hey.” You cut him off sternly, taking his hand in your own and shaking it firmly to get his attention, “That was all my own decision. And besides, we’re both back now, so it doesn’t matter. We’re alright now.”
In the night the stormy night she'll close her eyes
You laughed loudly as Oliver threw a piece of popcorn at you, “Oh, come on! You know it’s true!”
“It is not.” He scowled playfully.
Thea joined in your amusement, “Oh, it totally is!” She snickered, “You used to be too scared of the dark to sleep alone! I remember- you would always sleep with mom and dad!”
The three of you sat around the couches in the living room, munching on popcorn with a long- forgotten movie playing in the background.
“I did not!” He protested.
“Oh, yes you did, young man.” Moira smiled at the sight of her three children, all playfully bickering with one another as she entered the room.
“Mom!” He complained as yours and Theas cackling grew louder at her admitted statement.
“I’m sorry,” She shrugged, completely unapologetic, “I can only speak to the truth.” She jokingly wagged a finger at Thea, “And don’t you be laughing, young lady, remember what happened during the Christmas party when you were eight?”
Your sister's eyes immediately widened with horror and it was then Oliver’s turn to join in on your laughing.
“Mom!” She shrieked, “That’s not cool! Don’t bring that up!”
“And you,” Moira playfully narrowed her eyes at you, “Need I remind you of your seventeenth birthday fiasco?”
“No! No!” You quickly shook your head back and forth.
Your mother was the only one left laughing after that, but you couldn’t deny that this felt good. Joking around as a family again. All together.
In the night the stormy night away she'd fly
You tiptoed across the hallway towards Oliver’s room as if you were a child again. The two of you used to sneak a candy bar or two up to your rooms during the day and stash them under your pillows for the nighttime and would oftentimes have a mini party with one another while feasting on your treats.
This time though, it was different. There were no more candy parties. No more stifled giggles in the middle of the night. No more childhood.
About a few minutes ago, you had woken up with the feeling that something was off- that something was wrong. It was such a strong feeling that it became practically impossible to ignore. So you found yourself throwing off your covers and creeping to your twin brother's room to try and figure out what was wrong.
As soon as you stepped through the already opened door, you realized what the problem was.
Oliver was sitting on the edge of his bed with his head dropped like a rock into his hands while his elbows rested in his knees. He had a nightmare.
You didn’t know how you knew, it just came to you and there wasn’t a single doubt in your mind that it was what happened.
Wordlessly, you shuffled into the room and sank down onto the mattress beside him.
At first, he tensed up and whipped around to face you, only to relax when he realized that it was just you.
The silence carried on between the two of you for a few minutes before you spoke up in a small whisper, “I used to get nightmares almost everyday after you and dad…” You trailed off and swallowed thickly.
“What did you do about them?” His voice was as soft as yours was. Your brother didn’t even question how you knew.
“Not enough,” You admitted, hugging your knees to your chest, “I let them plague my mind because I didn’t know what else to do about them.”
“What were they about?” You could tell from the sound of his voice that he didn’t want to push, but curiosity had taken over.
“How you- I mean how you could’ve…” You harshly blinked tears away, “Every nightmare would be a different scenario of how you could have died.”
Without another word, he wrapped his arm around your shoulders and brought you into a strong, side hug, planting a kiss on the side of your head as you leaned into his chest.
“They stopped, though.” You craned your neck to look up at him with a teary smile, “As soon as you came back. I haven’t had another one since.”
He shook his head softly, “I’m sorry you ever had to go through that.”
“Don’t apologize.” You copied his head shake, “There is absolutely nothing that you need to be sorry for. The ship going down wasn’t your fault.”
Oliver gazed at you with sad eyes, “But I wish it hadn’t happened.”
You let out a small laugh, “Of course,” Small giggles continued to pour out of you, “You can’t actually be glad something like that had happened.”
A smile pulled at the ends of his lips as he turned his head away from you to look out the window, “No, I suppose not.”
Dream of para-para-paradise
“What the hell is all of this?” You asked quietly, turning in a slow circle from where you stood.
“You know what this is.” Oliver called softly from behind you. His arms were crossed over his chest and he looked- dare you say- nervous.
About an hour ago, he had rushed into your room, rambling nonsense about not wanting or being able to lie to you- his twin sister - anymore, and had practically dragged you out of the house and to an old abandoned warehouse that used to belong to your father.
“You’re the vigilante.” You breathed out.
Deep down, you felt as if you had somehow known all along, because now, it all made sense. The obvious secrets, the interaction with the mugger, the difference in, well, everything about him.
“Oliver.” You turned and looked him directly in the eyes, “You have a lot of explaining to do.”

“Then, have you seen-” Oliver stopped in his tracks upon seeing the girl he is secretly harboring feelings for and has been since before the boat accident. “Y/n.”
“Hey, Oliver.” Y/n smiled shyly, giving a small wave from Thea’s bed.
“Hi.” Oliver stuttered out, returning the gesture.
“What were you asking again, Oli?” Thea raised a brow with a small smirk on her lips.
“Huh? Oh yeah. Have you seen the keys to my bike?” Oliver shook out of his dazing awkwardness to ask what he originally came into ask.
“Nope. Haven’t seen him.” She responded with a slight shake of her head.
“Ok. Thanks anyway. See later y/n.” Oliver waved bye leaving the room.
“See you later, Oliver.” Y/n did the same.
“You are so in love with my brother.” Thea smiled mischievously as she stated once her brother was gone.
“What? No!” Y/n shook her head with wide eyes.
“Oh, yes you are. It’s fine. I would love for us to be sisters.” Thea smirked with a shrug.
“Thea. . .he doesn’t like me like that.” Y/n shook her head in disappointment.
“Oh, yes he does. Trust me, he does.” Thea stated confidently. She knew her brother and he definitely liked Y/n.
^     ^     ^
“You know Y/n has a crush on you, right?” Thea asked he, brother, over dinner sitting in Oliver’s room eating Big Belly Burger.
“Yup.” Oliver nodded, he knew that she liked him. Sometimes it was very obvious.
“Then why haven’t you done anything about it? I can tell you like her back. I’d even go as far as to say you might love her.” Thea asked, men could be so stupid she thought. He knows she likes him, and he likes her so why not do something about it?
“I think I love her.” Oliver muttered looking down at his food in thought.
“Oh my GOD! You have to tell her!” Thea exclaimed excitedly.
“But it’s fun watching her be shy about it.” he smiled letting out a light laugh. He loved teasing Y/n, her reactions were always cute to watch. Although he’s not much better sometimes.
“Oliver! That’s cruel. You need to tell her.” Then glared at him.
“I will, I will. I’ll tell her later.” Oliver nodded to get his sister to stop giving him the evil eye.
“Do it. Tonight.” Thea stated pointing at him. Oliver knew he should do it tonight, it’s been long enough.
^     ^     ^
Oliver decided to go over to y/n’s apartment, which in hindsight might not have been the best idea. At least the way he decided to use the window instead of the door. Which resulted in Y/n screaming.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” Oliver said holding his hands up in show of he meant no harm.
“It’s ok, Oliver. Jeez though, can’t you use doors?” Y/n laughed waving him off while the other hand held her chest, since her heart was still beating really fast from the scare.
“What are you working on?” Oliver asked walking over to where she sat at her work desk.
“A new type of arrow for you and Roy. It should tear through the muscle and lock on.” She explained as she continued to put the new arrowhead together.
“Nice.” Oliver nodded, it sounded painful maybe the criminals would stop after being shot with one of these.
“Did you need something?” Y/n asked, digging through her shelves for something.
“I wanted to talk to you about something.” Oliver shifted his feet.
“Oh- ok? Uh, shoot.” Y/n glanced at him nervously.
“I like you.” He blurted out watching her closely to see her reaction.
“Huh?” Y/n looked over at him with wide eyes, shocked at his confession.
“I like you, y/n. Actually, I’m pretty sure I’m in love with you. An I’m pretty sure or at least hoping you feel the same.” Oliver walked close to her reaching out to hold her hand.
“I do. You liking me is hard to believe but, yes I do love you as well.” Y/n smiled up at the Arrow shooting vigilante. Both smiling that now the other knew about each other’s feelings. Maybe now things could progress between them.

Remnant
Tumblr media
Title: Remnant
Pairing: Thea Queen x Reader
Word Count: 736
Y/n was a long way from Star City. It had been years since she was forced out of there by the Queen family. The bitterness from having everything stolen from her had only grown in her time away. Y/n had tried her hardest to make things work, but there was always a dark cloud that loomed over her head.
She couldn't get close to anybody with the fear that they'd discover who she really was. Honesty was no longer an option. Y/n had to pretend to be someone else. Her world had been turned upside down because of something that she had no choice in. She wished that Thea would have killed her whenever Thea had the chance. And Y/n was going to make sure that Thea felt the exact same way by the time that Y/n had exacted her revenge.
Thea was easy enough to come by. Y/n had never really let her stray too far. At first, it had been an accident. Y/n and Thea had always been a lot alike, which made Y/n's hiding difficult. She had money, but couldn't risk Thea finding her in some city. What had first felt like a curse was turning out to be a blessing in disguise.
"I'll be fine. Have a good night!" Thea called out to one of her coworkers. Y/n waited for Thea to be completely alne before she stepped out of the shadows. "Who's there?"
"Thea Queen, you have failed this city," Y/n said as she pulled Thea into a chokehold. There was a red arrow pressing against her throat, the same one that Thea had shot Y/n with as Speedy.
"Y/n, what are you doing here?" Thea kept her voice calm, despite the fact that she knew Y/n could easily kill her. It had always been an afterthought for Thea, something that snuck its way up to the front of her brain on dark and lonely nights. Thea wasn't sure if she should have killed Y/n or just let her be. It was too late to do either of those things now, so Thea just had to accept her fate instead.
"I've been waiting for this day for a long time," Y/n said with a sinister smile. Thea wondered how many times Y/n had let the murder play out in her head. She wondered if what Thea did that night haunted Y/n in the same way that it haunted Thea. "You took everything from me and left me for dead."
"You were hurting people, Y/n." Thea knew that it had been indirect for Y/n. She was just easier to get to than the actual mastermind behind it all. Y/n had been his puppet and investor. He had used her money to take control of certain aspects of the city in an attempt to overthrow it into chaos. Star City was on the verge of anarchy, only to be taken over by a madman and the teenage girl he had manipulated.
"He made me do things that I'd never forgive myself for. I thought you'd help me escape, but instead, you tried to kill me. You and your brother aren't heroes, you're monsters," Y/n said as she pressed the tip of the arrow against Thea's throat. "Why didn't you kill me when you had the chance?"
"You know why," Thea answered. That wasn't good enough for Y/n, who pressed the tip against Thea's shoulder just hard enough to pierce through the skin. "I loved you! I couldn't kill you because I loved you!"
"That's not how you treat the person that you claim to love," Y/n said as she released Thea. Thea stumbled onto the ground and looked up just in time to see Y/n standing over her. Thea's heart was racing as she thought about what Y/n was going to do to her. Thea watched as Y/n pulled a knife out from behind her back. Y/n casually flung the knife at Thea, sticking it into her leg, just above the knee. It was the same place where the arrow had struck her years ago. Thea wouldn't die from the wound, but she'd be feeling it for a long time. Y/n was certain that Thea would never be able to forget about her after that.

Me And You
Fandom: Arrow
Pairing: Thea Queen x Diggle Male Reader
Summary: A new vigilante has been showing up going after all sorts of criminals but has recently been going after an evil organisation, Team Arrow has a encounter with the vigilante and Oliver wants to bring him in for questioning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Star city, the city that was protected by the Green Arrow and his fellow vigilantes, but for the past couple of weeks a evil organisation has shown up in Star city causing a lot of trouble but in these weeks a new vigilante has also shown up to put an end to them.
The media has decided to call this man "The Black Panter" but not everyone is happy that their is new vigilante in the city.
Team Arrow were busy the past weeks trying to Find out more about the organisation and this mysterious vigilante.
Oliver and Thea walked out of the elevator into to the Arrow cave, where everyone else was already waiting on them.
Have you found something about their location or a meeting, Felecity?" Oliver asked as he looked at her quickly typing on her keyboard.
The only thing i could find was that some members are having a meeting at an abandoned site." Felecity said as she turned around to face her teammates.
And what about the new vigilante?" He asked as she yet again returned to her computer.
Ollie? Why exactly are we going after him because he's been stopping crime just like we have." Oliver exclaimed leading to the team looking at him for an answer.
Because he showed up at the same time as this organisation, so even if he doesn't work with them, he has some connection with them, he probaly knows more about them then we do."
__________
Time Skip
Everyone of Team Arrow was standing in position to watch the meeting of the members of the organisation take place.
Why don't we just take them out?" Wild Dog asked over the comms already getting tired waiting for the members to come for their secret meeting.
Because we need to know what their doing here in Star city and by listening in to conversation we might find out where their base of operations is" Green Arrow quickly answered his question.
Both of you shut up their coming." Spartan anounched, making everyone quickly shut their mouths.
3 man in total entered the abandoned building one after another, standing around a table and proceeding to all sit at one of the chairs.
Then a giant screen turned on with a bright light, almost revealing where terrefic was hiding, on the screen you could see a man with an white helmet on his head and was dressed in black and white colored clothing.
How is our plan coming forward?" The man asked the three man.
Were already at stage 2 of our plan in a couple of weeks we will have everything ready for stage 3." A skiny looking with an evil grin on has face answered but the most oustanding features where the scars on his face.
Excellent work, but i have to ask will the Panter be a problem?"
No, i'll make sure of it." A bigger looking man answered with his fist clenched so hard he was almost drawing blood.
Good, you have 1 and half of a week to get rid of him otherwise i'll do it myself."
The third man looked at the giant screen it was like the man sensed that he was looking at him and turned to look at him.
What is it V/N?"
What will we do about the Green Arrow and his team of vigilantes?"
If they interfer you have permission to kill them." All of them stood up and bowed to their leader, the screen quickly turned black, just as they were about to turn around to leave the door was kicked so hard it flew at one of them trapping them there with nowhere to go.
Just as Wild Dog and Terror were about to jump out to help the Panter, Green Arror stopped them.
Stop, i want to see what happens." Green Arrow said through the comms, even do they wanted to help the Panter they decided to listen to their leader and see what was about to happen.
The big dude made a mistake by trying to swing at the Panter. He quickly dodged under it and deliverd a nasty uppercut to hia chin, making him fall onto his back.
Not forgetting the other man behind him, who drew out a gun and decided to start shooting at him, but the Panter just stood and let the bullets reflect of his suit.
Having enough of the bullets hitting his suit, he charged at the man and grabbed the hand he was using to shoot and broke it in a matter of seconds.
The man let out a painfull scream and the gun fell out of his hand and dropped onto the floor.
Who are you?! Why are you doing this to me?!" The man screamed at the Panter still feeling the pain from his bone breaking.
The Panter let go of his hand and both his hand traveled to his helmet and pressed two buttons on his helmet at the same time, he then proceeded to take his helmet off.
Remember me! What you did to me for all those years!" He screamed at the top of his lungs with an expression that could kill.
But the only the guy did was laugh before looking him straight in the eyes and answering him.
Ah, Y/N Diggle, aren't you supposed to be dead?" He told him with an smile on his face that could make you vomit.
Everybody was shocked but John the most, his little brother was supposed to be dead. At first he didn't even recognise him but the longer he looked the more certain he became that the Panter was his little brother.
Without caring what anyone had to say through the comms, he jumped down. Due to the noise of his landing, Y/N turned around ready to fight anyone who challenged him.
Not knowing it was his brother under the the helmet, he was on alert looking at ways to take him down.
What are you doing here Spartan?" He said as he quickly turned around to face him. He didn't get an answer as John was still blown away by the idea of his brother being alive.
Now that he was turned around and facing John he didn't notice the man he just defeated with a seringe in hand trying to stab him in the neck.
Look out" John screamed at Y/N but it was already to late, just as he had turned around the seringe was already in his neck.
Quickly taking it's effect the poison traveled through his body, his vision started to get blurry and he fell to the ground falling unconscious.
Spartan was in rage and slammed the man against the wall but he kept a smile on his face the whole time.
You can either catch me or save your brother and the rest of this city." Now everyone dropped down from their hiding spot and walked over to John.
What do you mean by that?! He screamed at him.
I have devices placed all over the city that will poison the people of the city just like your brother, by releasing it into the air." He told Team Arrow with a laugh.
Ok, John, you and Thea will bring him back to the base while we take care of these devices." With an angry sigh he threw the man onto thw ground and picked up his brother and left with Thea following.

Glitch [Part 1]
Tumblr media
Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
Pairing: Tommy Merlyn x Reader
Word Count: 1221
Meeting Tommy Merlyn was not something you expected to happen within your lifetime. You lived worlds apart despite living within Starling City for the entirety of your lives. He basked in the high life society while you primarily stayed cozied up within your condo. Your lives coinciding felt like a glitch. A sporadic moment in a hectic reality just waiting to drop a bombshell disrupting the peace you’ve ever known.
It began with a work email. Your catering business has somehow garnered the attention of one of the assistants working for Moira Queen. It was a surreal moment of your life as you could not fathom how they became aware of your business. To this day, it was still a mystery.
You worked your ass off for each piece to be perfect and delicious. You called up some friends to help you with delivering them to the Queen Mansion. You nor your friends have ever seen the mansion in person. Decorated so gratifyingly that it established an elite lifestyle. One you and your friends could only dream of but never touch. Thea Queen’s sweet sixteen would be the talk of the city and you had but a small part in making it the best day of her teenage years. You were thankful for this opportunity.
The door of the Queen Mansion was wide open. Busy bodies rushing back and forth with decorations barely being hung up. There he stood nearby the stairwell. He diligently surveyed the chaos stirring within the mansion. His only source of entertainment until the guest arrived. He wore an awfully expensive black tux. His presence radiated a sort of authority, a type you were vastly unfamiliar with.
Moira spotted the dishes and instantly began instructing you where to place the food. It was then that he noticed your semi-muscular frame. She attentively inspected your work for a solid second as your friends placed them onto the table, leaving you to verify the flawlessness of each piece. “These look wonderful.” She placed her hand onto your shoulder as you proceeded to unveil the rest. “That’ll be all.”
You nodded before responding, “Thank you.” That’s where it should’ve ended. A brief minute of residing in the same room at the same time. A moment where the planets and the fates and the stars aligned. Laying the groundwork for the glitch to spark an incomparable possibility. An unlikely  window of opportunity for magic to captivate even the utmost bachelor in all of Starling City.
He was spellbound by your beauty, enthralled by your stance, and intended to become acquainted with you. His good looks, he thought, would help drastically but much to his disappointment you’d barely looked at him as you leisurely fled the mansion. He attempted to woo you with his lifestyle and money but you weren’t taking the bait. In fact, you barely muttered a few words to him as he tried to dazzle you. It was slightly frustrating but something kept him from relenting.
Within the entirety of his womanizer life, women came easy for him. It was his last name attracting the attention of women or his ridiculously handsome face (at least he thought so) that usually did the trick. But his usual antics weren’t working. For the first time, he had to work for acknowledgement from a woman and he rather enjoyed it. The rush of knowing his time with you was limited and every action could either disconnect from each other's lives permanently or become the start of something new.
He knew your job ended the second you’d dropped the food off and rectified what could’ve been disturbed by the car ride. His window was slowly coming to a close and you’d be lost forever in the sea of women that inhabited the city. He needed to arrange for more time, allowing his charm to fulfill its purpose and enchant you into his arms.
“Can I have a business card?” You nodded, digging into your pocket and handing him the card one of your friends digitally designed. All you wanted was to cuddle into your bed while silently stressing over the review that would soon loom over your head. A terrible review from Moira Queen will utterly destroy your business. You were dying for the days to come to progress so you could know the fate of your business. You were so busy ensnared into your thoughts that you didn’t notice Tommy Merlyn was flirting with you. Frankly, a panic attack was undoubtedly ensuing your figure as you left.
It wasn’t until a few days later that you’d realized that Tommy Merlyn was trying to pursue you romantically and the thought initiated a hearty roar of laughter. You regarded it as utterly ridiculous. Enough so that you’d poked fun at the situation you’d found yourself in with your friends. Knowing nothing remotely romantic could unravel between the two of you, you dismissed his attempt as a spur of the moment relapse on his part. He wasn’t a one-girl type of guy. His past (and very public) relationships presented as such and you were not looking for a short time. You wanted something more intimate and profound. Something the man the media portrayed could not approach if he continued on with his lack of self-control.
Unexpectedly he popped back into your life as he contacted you. Hiring you for an event he’d be hosting and imparting an invitation to you and your friends. When you relay the message you’d experience endless teasing by your friends. It was, according to them, another chance to have Tommy swoon over you. You took their bantering in stride as nothing, absolutely nothing will occur between the two of you. You were searching for something more than merely sex and didn’t want to be included in his ever growing list of one-night stands nor suffer through the heartbreak that would possibly hover over the hypothetical relationship. It was just something you did not want to bear.
He was, without a doubt, charming in his own right. He’d fished for little nuggets of specifics. Details of one such as preferred hobbies, cherished memories, and everything in between. Nothing a person who desired a one-night stand would seek. He was different from what the media had plastered all over the television and magazines. He seemed genuine when he indicated his want to get to know you on a personal level. Even admitting the entire event was assembled to grasp a fraction of a chance to encounter one another again.
It only brought more questions than answers but with a little convincing from your friends, you decided to give him a chance. It progressed slowly. Dates at Big Belly Burgers and stolen kisses under streetlights. You’d realized just how big his heart was and how much love he could muster for the people around him. Almost too much as most was at the cost of his mental state. He recognized the amount of devotion you dedicate to cooking. So much so he once decided to cook for you. He captured your heart the second he tried to cook Fettuccine Alfredo using a cookbook he’d soon give to you.
An inconceivable relationship blossomed over a mere glitch in reality and you both thank whatever gods or fate for allowing such a circumstance to transpire.

Best Birthday Present Ever (Thea Queen x M!Reader) Part 1
A/N: Hello lovely people of Tumblr, time for my first story here on Tumblr. So just for context: this is set in Season 5, so Oliver's the Mayor, but I'm gonna gloss over most of the chaotic villainy stuff here. I've mostly let this take place in Season 5 so that Thea's age is where I want it to be.  Also, Y/n knows that Thea used to be Speedy and Oliver is the Arrow. Thea's 21 in this and Y/n is turning 22 this year.
"No!!!!!!!" You woke up with a start, breathing heavily. Panic closing up your throat, after a few more moments of heavy breathing, you start to calm down. It was just a dream, you thought. And yet, it felt so real, your deepest fear came to life, Thea leaving you. Speaking of, her side of the bed is empty. Just as you were beginning to wonder where she disappeared to, your phone buzzed. Picking it up, you let out a sigh of relief you didn't know you've been holding. It's a text from Thea, thank God if the dream had turned out to be real...
Thea:
Hey, sorry I had to leave early, Ollie needed help down at city hall again. Happy birthday btw!!
You:
Awww I was hoping I'd get to spend the day with you. Thx btw.
Thea:
I know, me too sweetie
How 'bout I make it up to you tonight with a dinner date at my loft? You can get your birthday present there too!
You:
Sounds good to me!
Thea:
Can't believe you're 22 already, grampsssss
You:
==" Seriously? I'm just a year older than you
Thea:
1 year is foreverrrrrr~~~~ XD
You:
Pffffttttt. Come on like you literally can't tell when you look at us!!
Thea:
Except the wrinkles on your face, and the amount of complaining....
You:
Hey!!! Uncalled for!!! I do not have wrinkles
and I most definitely don't complain like a senior citizen!!!
Thea:
You didn't let me finish!!!! ... I was gonna say but you look gorgeous anyways despite all that.
You:
 ...
Thea:
What?
You:
If I'm actually old and grey will you still say that?
Thea:
Awww of course I will honey! To me you're always gonna look gorgeous no matter if you have gray hair or no hair or whatever! Besides, I didn't fall in love just with your looks you know? I also fell for the kind, caring, and amazing man that you are underneath all that, and that, that won't go away, ever, so neither will my love for you. Okay?
You:
Thea..... That's.... The nicest thing anyone has ever said to me, thank you babe. Thank you so much.
Thea:
Anytime sweetie. Where's this sudden bout of self doubt coming from?
You:
I uhhhhh, had a nightmare last night. You... Left me. Something about me not being good enough for you. So I just got scared that it'd actually happen for real too when you said that part about me being old.
Thea:
Sweetie, like I just said, I didn't just fall for your looks, I fell for who you are as a person, all your flaws and misgivings included. So your nightmare is just that, a nightmare, I'll never leave you, so don't doubt yourself okay?
You:
Okay. You know, sometimes I feel like I'm the luckiest man alive.
Thea:
I feel like I know the answer, but why?
You:
Cuz I have a girlfriend who, in addition to being the single most amazing woman alive, also loves me despite my flaws and she isn't afraid to constantly remind me of that.
Thea:
Awwwwwwwwwww, you cutieeeee. Anyways something came up and I got to run, see you this evening!!!! Luv u!!!! Xoxoxo
You:
Love you too honey, more than anything else in the world
Putting your phone away, you get up and head into your bathroom to shower and start your day. Finishing with your shower, you got out and put on your work clothes: black slacks, white long-sleeved shirt, and a tie. You were a manager after all, a coffee shop manager, but still a manager nonetheless. However, in addition to your manager attire, you also grab an apron. While managers aren't required to do much with regards to the day-to-day operations besides overseeing the staff and handling the occasional customer request, you still liked to help out every once in a while. Sometimes because you're bored, sometimes because it feels bad seeing the few employees at the shop getting swarmed during the morning or evening rush hours, and sometimes because you have nothing else better to do. This of course doesn't go unnoticed by the staff there, they appreciate the gesture and some of them even go out of their way to demonstrate it: from helping you with the customer requests, to staying past hours to help you take inventory and close up shop.
Walking over to your fridge, you open it to find some breakfast, only to find a pre-cooked meal of eggs and toast refrigerated inside it. On it was a small note that read, Happy Birthday honey! Enjoy your breakfast. You smiled. Even after all this time, Thea somehow manages to surprise you in ways that just make you love her even more. A girl who's beautiful, fights crime, and can cook? You really are lucky to have such an amazing girlfriend, you think.
Anyhow, you sat down at your table and quickly wolfed down your girlfriend's handiwork, delicious, as usual.
Pouring yourself a tall glass of orange juice to wash it all down, you're quickly out the door and headed to your workplace right after.
-------------------------------
You're in the coffee shop, after saying hi to the other employees there, you decided that today you feel like helping out a bit so you put on your apron and manned the cashier. Just as well, because the morning rush today is quite busy, within a couple minutes of your arrival you've already received the order from a dozen of businessmen and businesswomen, who after ordering are immediately back on their phones working on whatever deals they were trying to close. Sighing, you quickly passed the order on to Frank, the shop's fastest coffee brewer. After a "yes boss" Frank quickly went to work, 10 minutes, and a very angry coffee machine later, Frank comes back with half a dozen coffees already brewed and ready to go. Man, even after all this time, the guy never fails to impress you with how fast he can brew coffee while still keeping the taste the same.
"Thanks Frank," you said, "Having such a fast coffee brewer really helps the shop out."
"No problem boss," Frank replied. "When the manager is manning the cashier, the least I can do is make sure he doesn't get chewed out by the customers for slow delivery." He smirks.
"Say what you will Frank, I know you would pay good money to see that happen." you replied with a chuckle, to which Frank just shoots a sly grin at you, not denying what you just said. Turning back towards the customers you called out the six orders that Frank just brewed and just as they were picked up, a new set of customers came rushing in through the doors. It's gonna be a long day...
-----------------------------------
At noon, the customers were starting to thin out as most people head to an actual restaurant for some real food, the few who do come in are those who want a light lunch. With the lull in the flow of customers, your mind starts to wander. You don't just operate the cashier to help the staff or stave off boredom, you also do it as a way to remember the first time you met Thea...
A/N: That's a wrap for Chapter 1! Please comment your thoughts below! So next chapter will be a flashback about the first time Y/n meets Thea, and I think that in homage to Arrow, I'll be alternating Flashback and normal chapters. the Flashbacks will tell the story of the start of their relationship so the timeline will probably span more than one day, while the normal chapters are all set on Y/n's birthday.

The blue canary - Thea Queen x Male Lance!reader
Tumblr media
*a/n: Laurel didn't die in season 4*
● you had known Thea practically since birth through your older siblings Laurel and Oliver being childhood friends and eventually dating
● you were really close but grew apart at 12 when Oliver and your other sister Sara died in the Queens Gambit ship wreck
● it wasn't until you were 17 and Oliver (and later Sara too) came back that you reconnected
● it's a real slow burn relationship not getting together until you guys were 22 after the whole Damian Darhk fiasco
● by this point Thea has become speedy and you've become the blue canary following in your sister's footsteps
● you already knew your way around a gun thanks to your dad as well as being trained in hand to hand combat by Laurel and Sara
● but your weapon of choice are your blue shurikens
● Laurel and Sara are even more protective of Thea than Oliver is when you tell everyone you're dating
● you expected the whole typical older brother "if you hurt her I'll hurt you" speech from Oliver but instead he's just like "if you ever break her heart those two are the ones you need to be afraid of" he says pointing to Laurel and Sara
● Laurel "he's right you know"
● "Why are you threatening me?? I'm your brother??"
● Sara "yeah but we like Thea better"
● meanwhile there's Quentin "how is it that every single one of my kids has dated a Queen??"
●"it could be worse, I could be dating Oliver instead of Thea"
● Quentin "don't even joke like that Y/N"
● Oliver “Hey I'm right here”
● getting interrupted all the time by your siblings
● even at your apartment they let themselves in with keys you didn't know they had
● you and Thea are busy making out on the couch and Sara just pops in
● "Sara! Knock first!"
● "I come to see my little brother after being gone with the legends for 6 months and this is the welcome I get?"
● one time you joined the legends going back to the 1800's
● as fascinated with the waverider as Thea was she is perfectly fine not time traveling anymore
● "Hey babe, Sara invited me to go on another one of their missions you want to join?"
● "no thanks, I'll stay here in the present with electricity and proper plumbing"
● Thea is much better with a bow and arrow than she is with your shurikens
● she was trying to throw one at your target practice set up in the arrowcave when it flew completely past the target and nearly hit Oliver in the head which he ducked just in time
● "Okay no more shurikens for you speedy"
● "come on Ollie I was so close to actually hitting the target this time!"
● "were you??"
● date nights also getting interrupted when Felicity calls you in to stop ongoing crimes nearby
● “damn and I was really looking forward to dessert too”
● Felicity “please tell me by dessert you mean actual food”
● Thea “well there was definitely going to be whipped cream involved”
● you and Malcolm Merlyn do not get along at all
● “Thea do you really need to date this guy, I expected someone better for my daughter”
● “Merlyn if you don't shut up I'm going to cut off your other hand”
● Thea “do I need to separate you two??”
● it's still awkward doing any sort of PDA in front of Oliver
● you kissed her goodbye before heading out for a mission and Oliver is just glaring at you
● “Y/N and I have been together for two years, I really can't kiss my boyfriend in front of you yet?”
● “nope,” is all he says making a show of picking up his very sharp arrows
● Laurel whispering to you “you're lucky I'm the one who caught you guys in the med bay earlier, if it had been Oliver those arrows would be in your chest right now”

can I be terrible and ask for thea queen angst, only if you have the time honestly pls don't pressure yourself to write, there is already plenty of work in your masterlist for me to enjoy!, I am so glad someone still writes for arrowverse characters! ❤💚💙
Reader and Thea used to date back in s1 in Thea's party girl days but you split because she cheated. Cut to s4 where Damien Darkh is in town and Reader is working as his lackey. Green Arrow and co get in an altercation with Reader and Thea's mask comes off and Reader sees. The team expect her to kill Thea given that she's a villain now and has a bad past with Thea. But reader still loves Thea and so changes tactic and works to help them escape before Damien comes and kills them all. Thea asks why she would help them after what Thea did and Reader confesses that she'll always help Thea cuz she still loves her even though Thea didn't even love her enough to not cheat. 💔😢
(Sorry but I adore angst lol)

Blinding Lights
Happy Fathers Day to all the amazing dads out there!!
Warnings: sensory issues, cursing, bad teachers, crying, mentions of absent fathers, let me know if I missed any :)
Pairings: Oliver Queen x sibling reader
Request: Oooo when you can, could you do dialogue #28 with teen!reader x arrow verse (reader is Oliver and Thea’s adopted younger sibling) where reader ended up having a mental break down at school and when Oliver came to pick them up he asks if he can hug them? Reader has sensory issues and isn’t very fond of touch, but they allow him because they have grown super close to him over time and they are ok with the feeling of his swester or something?
Request by: @mictodii
(Sorry this took so long and if this isn’t what you wanted, and if it’s not then just lmk and I’ll try to fix it!!)
*not my gif*
Summary: When you have a mental breakdown at school, there’s one person you can count on to make you feel better. The person that you’ve always been able to count on
A/N: This is really short; Also, I’ve never written a character with sensory issues before so I’m so sorry if I got this wrong!; and the bolded is the dialogue prompt
Please don’t plagiarize my work, you may reblog if you like but I’m asking that you don’t steal my hard work
Tumblr media
You were yet to fully calm down, your breathing coming out in quick and ragged breaths instead of the slow and steady deep ones like the teacher had told you to do.
It wasn't like you could help it though, the teachers hadn’t even tried to help you fully calm down before sitting you down in the small waiting room near the office. And staring at the beige walls with no decorations whatsoever was beginning to make you claustrophobic.
The lights were too bright- so bright- that you felt like your head was spinning.
You tried to drop it into your hands, but your forehead touched the scratchy material of your sweater, and you immediately snapped your head up immediately, unable to stand the feeling.
No matter what you did, nothing could calm you down. And nobody was left in the room after the teachers exited to talk to your brother, not even allowing you to go see him.
They had apparently called him when you had run out of a classroom in the middle of a lesson and broke down crying in the hallway.
None of the teachers had bothered to ask you why that happened, they just rolled their eyes and scoffed at you for interrupting and ruining their lessons.
The truth was, the stress of all the final exams coming up and all of the work that you had to do became far too much for you and you couldn’t stand it anymore.
You had tried very hard to suppress whatever it was that you were feeling, just at least until you got into the safety of your own home, but the more you tried to suppress it, the stronger the feeling became.
Finally, just as you thought you were about to start crying again, the door opened and Oliver came into view.
His eyes were soft upon seeing the state you were in, and he gently beckoned with a hand for you to get up, “Come on, Trouble.” He used his childhood nickname for you, “Let’s go home.”
As you walked in front of him, he was careful not to touch you, but made sure to be close enough that you knew he was there for you if you needed him.
He, just like the rest of your friends and family, knew about your sensory issue and they were always sure to respect it in anyway that they could.
When you got to the car, he opened the door for you before jogging to get to his side, closing the door but not yet pulling out, and turned his head to look at you.
All of a sudden it became too much once more, all of the feelings from earlier resurfaced and you found yourself crying your eyes out again.
He let you cry for a moment before hesitantly calling out to you, “N/n… can I hug you?” He asked, not wanting to do anything you were uncomfortable with.
Much to his surprise, you nodded your head.
But he didn’t waste a second on wrapping you into his strong arms and pulling you into the protective comfort of his chest.
He gently held you, stroking your hair softly as he prepared to be pushed away at any moment.
You continued to cry into his chest though, appreciating the comfort that the hug from your older brother brought.
When you finally calmed down enough just to be hiccuping and sniffling, you didn’t pull away right away as you actually leaned closer to Oliver, finding comfort in the feeling of his soft sweater. It calmed you down even more.
After giving yourself another minute, you slowly pulled away from him, looking up at his face to see him already looking right back at you.
You didn’t want to talk about what had happened. You didn’t want to relive that. You didn’t want him to ask about it.
“You don’t have to explain.” He said softly, as if reading your mind.
“Thank you.” You whispered back, feeling so grateful for your brother at that moment.
“There’s no need to thank me.” He paused for a moment, letting the two of you fall into a comfortable silence, “But… I will need to speak with those teachers of yours, they’re real assholes.”
A small smile made its way onto your face when he said that, knowing that he would in fact have a talk with those teachers- and probably be joined by Thea was well.
As you looked at him now, you finally realized just how much your brother did for you, because he cares about you.
How he would respect your need for space and literally leave work in the middle of the day because you were crying at school.
And while your father was never actually around for most of your life, Oliver he was. He was there for you through everything, like a real father should be.
As far as you were concerned, you had the greatest brother in the world, because he could fill that empty void your father had left behind.

But Reality Crept In, You Said We’re too Different - Thea Queen Imagine (Arrow)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Title: But Reality Crept In, You Said We’re too Different
Pairing: Thea Queen X Reader
Based On: I Bet You Think About Me
Word Count: 1,177 words
Warning(s): bad relationship, Thea being awful, break-up
Summary: (Pre-Show/Season 1) Thea was known for being the rich party girl that could get pretty much anything she wanted. Too bad that people are less likely to do what you want after you’ve wronged them.
Author's Note: That is such a shit summary. I am so sorry.
Masterlist for From the Vault - Taylor Swift Writing Challenge
--------------------------------
Thea's strange behavior started with small things.
Fixing my hair, adjusting my clothes. Small things that I would've never questioned.
I trusted Thea to accept me as I was. Who would get into a relationship with someone that they saw as embarrassing? Right?
It was no secret that I hadn't grown up as fortunate as Thea. Not even slightly. I assumed that wasn't a big deal to her. Well, not so much assumed as I trusted her when she told me that it wasn't a big deal.
The small things eventually start escalating. It turned into advice. What I should do when I got my hair cut, what I should wear on dates with her. Again, relatively small... but they were more persistent. I just kind of listened to her... when I could afford it.
After advice was just straightforward demands. This is what I would wear. This is where we were going. These were the best people to talk to. It wasn't suggestions or passive-aggressive comments.
She was one step away from pulling me along on a leash.
When I didn't comply or meet her standards, she would suddenly pull away. My brain would go from feeling like a complete disappointment. If I loved her, I should've been able to make it work. She deserved something better.
I wish I could've heard how fucking stupid that sounded at the time.
We were sitting in her room when everything came to a head.
She was getting ready for a party and rambling about something. I had worn what she told me to. I was miserable. It was tight in the wrong places, and I didn't feel good in it.
"And I'll introduce you to some big voices in town," she had been explaining her plan for the night and I had barely been listening. "Be careful with the food. I don't want your face being messy."
"I'm not a child," I replied. It was the first time I had a comeback for her bullshit. It seemed to throw her for a second.
"I know that," she nodded. "I'm just trying to help."
"Do I really need it," I asked.
My heart jumped into my throat. There was no backing down now.
Thea stepped closer to me and crossed her arms over her chest. It was a dare. A challenge.
"Well, after your behavior at the last party, I assumed you'd listen to it," she said. "I don't need you acting like such a sad puppy."
"I only acted like that because I told you I didn't want to go out that night and you still made plans," I stood up from my seat. "And then, when I asked to go home at like 2 a.m., you just said no and made me stand next to you the entire night. I was exhausted and overwhelmed-"
"You're always like," she groaned and rolled her eyes.
"Then maybe you should stop dragging me places."
"No, I'm taking you out to nice events to enjoy our evenings."
"They're never nice," I finally snapped. "I hate the parties we go to. Everything is too loud. You always end up either drunk or high off your ass. I'm forced into these disgusting clothes that don't fit right but I wear them because you tell me to. I never get a choice in anything!"
"Because if I left you to make a choice, you'd just embarrass me!"
I froze up.
"Like you always did when we first got together!"
I scoffed at her and blinked away the tears in my eyes. When I finally made eye contact with her, I let out a huff.
"We're done," I said. "Right now. We are completely done."
"Don't be like that," she replied. "I am helping you."
"No," I shook my head. "No, you're just embarrassed of me. I am going to change everything about me so that you have a pretty looking accessory to show your friends."
I walked around her as she continued shouting behind me. I stormed down the steps, just wanting to get home before I completely breakdown.
"You are nothing without me!"
I spun around in the doorway of the house, "Unlike you, I don't need status to be fucking happy!"
I continued storming out, running down the road.
I don't know how far I ended up running, I just know that I made it home safe.
I slammed the front door and let out a sob.
"Hey, no need to take the door off the hinges," my mom joked. Her tone completely changed when she saw my face. "Oh no, what happened?"
"I... Thea... I just dumped Thea."
My mom walked over and pulled me into a tight hug. I hid my face in her shoulder as she rubbed her back.
"It's okay," she mumbled. "I've got you, sweetie."
I just wanted to erase the last few months of my life. I was embarrassed that I had fallen into that trap for so long. I just wanted to feel like a normal person again.
--time skip--
After months, I finally felt comfortable going out again. My mom had helped me fix my wardrobe again. I was comfortable going out in the clothes I owned now. Selling all of the shit that Thea gave me made me a good chunk of money too.
I met someone new. She was nice and smart and incredibly funny. She respected every boundary I had. It was so... different. It was nice.
We were in line for a movie when I caught something out of the corner of my eye. Fuck. Among a group of obnoxious rich kids that were all at least tipsy, was Thea.
I quickly turned to face forward, not wanting her to spot me.
"What's wrong," my partner asked, wrapping her arm around mine.
"Umm... that girl, the one I told you about... she's in the group," I muttered.
My partner glanced behind us.
"Oh my god," she mumbled. "She's staring at your back."
I tensed.
"Wanna go home," she asked. "We can if you want."
"I don't... I don't want to let you down."
"Hey," she cupped the side of my face, "you wouldn't be letting me down. You're keeping yourself safe and that matters more to me than anything else."
I slowly nodded.
There was a long pause between us.
"Can we leave," I asked quietly.
She leaned over and kissed my cheek, "Of course."
I grinned and let her grab my hand and lead me to the door. The only way out was passing the group. I took a deep breath as we went by.
I could feel Thea's eyes drilling into the side of my head. I knew the look all too well. She was used to glaring at me and causing me to just crumble and do whatever she wanted.
I must've started shaking or something because my partner lifted my hand and pressed a kiss to the back of my hand.
I looked over and her and smiled.
I was happy with this kind of different.
