Fists for Family (Rayleigh x gn!child!reader x Shakky)
A/N: Here we go! Originally, this was going to be just Rayleigh with Shakky just having one line or one action, but we need that grandma action. Who do guys want to see interacting with a child next?

Rayleigh sat in the Shakky’s Rip-off bar, sipping his drink and speaking with his wife, when his attention was pulled away from her to a newcomer.
“Oh Dear, What did you do now?” He asks as he sighs, setting his glass down.
“So-rry Grandpa,” the small child drawls
Rayleigh raises an eyebrow.
“Reader, Did you get into another fight?”
“…yeah,” they mutter.
Rayleigh is quick to give them a quick slap to the back of the head.
“Ow! Grandpa, what was that for! Grandma Grandpa is being mean!”
Rayleigh gives them a hard look.
“To knock some sense into you, you always get in trouble like this, yet you never learn!”
“He’s right, Honey; you’ll get really hurt one day if you keep this up,” Shakky says exhaling the smoke in a thin wisp.
“But Grandpa, Grandma, they deserved it!”
Rayleigh shakes his head, looking at the child.
“It doesn’t matter if they did deserve it! You need to learn self-restraint! You don’t walk around beating people up whenever they wrong you!”
“Why not?!” they yell at him.
Rayleigh delivers a second slap to the back of their head.
“Ow! Grandpa, that really hurts! Grandma!” they call again, hoping she will save them.
She simply gives them a smile and shakes her head, holding the cigarette between her fingers.
“Good! I hope you remember that when you think of getting into another pointless fight for no reason again.”
They pout, rubbing the back of their head.
“I hope that attitude sticks around. Now, what was this fight about hm? Or should I find out later from an angry mob again?”
“That was one time, Grandpa! He was insulting you! And then went crying to his dad, who happened to be the mayor.” The child protests, crossing their arms.
Rayleigh raises an eyebrow.
“What was it this time?” the old man says, waving his previous statement off.
The child fidgets slightly at the question.
“Hm?” Rayleigh presses, clearly noticing the child’s reluctance to answer.
The child mutters something under their breath.
Rayleigh leans in, placing his hands together and resting his elbows on the table as he stares at the child with curious eyes.
“What was that?”
“…they were insulting you again.”
The old man sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
“That’s what started this?”
They nod, rubbing their arm nervously
He sighs, motioning Reader to come closer
They step towards him, still avoiding his eyes even as he picks them up, placing them on his lap.
Rayleigh gently puts a hand on their cheek.
“Look at me, reader.”
They glance at him.
“Do not let them get to you, Reader. I am not fragile, and you do not have to defend me every time they make a snide remark.”
“I know, but it’s not fair how they talk about you, Grandpa!”
Rayleigh smiles and hugs them tightly.
“I know it isn’t fair, but you must remember that people like that are not worth your time and energy. Let them babble nonsense about me and come to me with it instead. Do not let their snide remarks get to you, though. Okay..?”
“Good..and promise me you won’t go around hitting people when they say something you don’t like?”
“I’ll try”
“Hm, better than nothing.” The old man sighs and pats their head.
“Now let me see,” Shakky says, gesturing to their arm.
“But it’s gonna hurt!”
Rayleigh sighs and ruffles their hair.
“Stop whining; listen to your Grandmother.”
They groan, showing her their arm where a new cut adorned their skin.
Shakky humed as she examined the cut. It wasn’t a bad one, but it was still enough to require at least some sort of care-taking.
Rayleigh looked back at Reader and spoke softly.
“This is why you shouldn’t just attack people blindly just because you don’t like what they say.”
The woman looked at them for a moment before sighing and picking them up from her husband’s lap.
“You’re coming with me, and we’re going to properly treat that.”
“Rayleigh, could you pass me the rubbing alcohol? It’s on the cabinet over there.”
Rayleigh swiftly stands and walks to the bartender’s side of the bar, opens the cabinet, and grabs a bottle of alcohol, handing it to his wife.
“Here you go.”
“Thank you, Dear”
“Now don’t you worry, Reader, if you behave, then this won’t hurt at all,” she says as she puts her cigarette in her mouth and inhales.
Rayleigh nods and smiles before Shakky starts pouring the alcohol over the cut, and he places a small bandage on it. Reader winces at the pain but tries to remain still.
“There you go, dear. It’s not a big cut, so it will be good as new in a few days, As long as you don’t get into any more fights.” Rayleigh comments
The old man turns to shake a finger at the child sternly, but the scolding is just an act as he tries to hide the soft chuckle.
The child giggles at his grandpa’s antics.
“Thank you, and sorry.”
Rayleigh laughs and ruffles their hair.
“Just don’t let it happen again, sweetheart. I do not enjoy fixing you up after a fight.”
He remembers something and glances toward the child in his wife’s hands.
“So, did you win?”
“Of course I did; I’m your grandchild, after all,” she grins, giving him a peace sign.
He laughs and gives them a quick kiss on the forehead,
“That you are. I expect nothing less from my grandchild.”
Shakky shakes her head with a smile on her face, kissing their forehead as well.

Gol D Roger x reader
So this is basically an AU where ace and luffy are the reader and Roger's children and it is kind of canon au.
Summary: you and roger tell Ace that he's going to have a baby brother,it doesn't go exactly as planned.
Warnings: nothing much just pregnancy themes and ace being adorable
The pound of pitter patter of little feet across the Oro Jackson's deck could be heard. You can hear the cheerful voices of Shanks and Buggy playing with the an adorable 3 year old Ace.
As you sit in the infirmary with Crocus, Roger standing keeping his hand on your shoulder, you were talking about how you had thrown up twice this morning and your breasts hurt, hoping he might have a remedy for it. He just gave you an all knowing smile and said, "You ain't sick, you're just pregnant."
Shocked you managed to say, "Oh." While Roger gave you a chaste kiss on the lips.
"What you ain't happy that you're having another kid."
"No no no We're happy it's just I'm thinking how to break the news to Ace, i just hope he will be happy that he's gonna have a baby sibling."
Then Roger gives his hearty laugh that you love so much and says, "Of course he'd be happy."
Holding his hand, you thank Crocus and walk out on the deck while Roger goes to talk to Rayleigh about something. As soon as Ace sees you,he yells," MOMMY!!!" To get your attention and runs as fast as his little feet can run and hugs you or well your leg. You bend down and pick him up and he kisses your cheek.
"Hi bub, how're you baby?"
"I'm good mommy i wanna show you something." He smiles and drags to show you something that Shanks and Buggy taught him.
Everyone on the ship was well aware that you were pregnant. Well everyone except Ace. You asked Roger at night while you and him were in your shared cabin with Ace soundly sleeping in the middle and you knew that once that boy fell asleep at night, it would be hours before he woke up.
"When do you think we should tell him?" You asked while stroking Ace hair gently as he slept.
"Tomorrow might be a good time since we get to find out the gender of the baby." Roger replied.
"You're right tomorrow it is."
Then tomorrow came and you both found the gender of the baby and to no surprise it was again a boy. You were happy of course estatic even but the thought of another chaotic mini Roger seemed to amuse you.
As nightfall came, again the three of you were in your shared cabin with Ace rambling about the cool fish that Gaban had caught. And as he eventually calmed down and was starting to fall asleep you decided to ask him.
"Ace bub can we ask you something?"
A little hum was all you got.
"How would you like a baby brother, little firefly?" Roger continued.
"No thank you." Was all Ace replied as he cuddled you more.
" uh- what acey bub why don't you want a little brother, won't it be fun." You said
"Nope."
And his narcolepsy hit, he fell asleep.
"Well that did not go as to what i had in my mind." Said Roger with a frown.
"Yeah. You know what this happens i said the same thing about my little sibling and now look at us. He'll grow out of this once he meets the baby." You said with hope.
And so the next day you decided to ask Ace why he didn't like the fact he was gonna have a little brother.
" What if the baby takes all your and papa's love and attention?" Ace said with an adorable pout.
And if course now it clicked in your brain that's why he didn't want to have a baby sibling but you needed to explain to him that having another child won't take away your love from the first one.
So you dedicated the months before the baby was born to show Ace that having a sibling can be amazing.
And then ofcourse after 9 months the little bundle of joy was born. You had already decided that you wanted the baby to be born on the ship. And Crocus had made all the arrangements beforehand so the delivery would go smoothly.
As you sat on the bed in the infirmary after hours of labor, the only ones being in the room were Roger, Rayleigh ,Crocus , Ace was sleeping soundly in Roger's arms and shanks and buggy standing beside Rayleigh. The crew was just outside the door.
As the baby being in your arms, you realised that you and Roger had completely forgotten to pick a name.
"What should we keep his name?" Roger asked.
"You don't wanna name him after another sword of yours" you teased him.
" i was thinking maybe you should give him a name since i named Ace it's only fair." He said
" how about Luffy?" You asked.
" i love it" he replied.
And then ace was waking up and you decided he should meet his baby brother. Rubbing his eyes and getting out of his sleepy state, he then started leaning towards the bed because he wanted to see the baby.
" you wanna see the baby?" Roger asked.
"uh huh." Ace said as he was put on the bed beside you. He hugged your side as you held the baby and showed him.
" here's your baby brother, Luffy." You said.
"wowww I'm a big brother" Ace whispered to himself. " But why is he so bald?"
It was a genuine innocent question but everyone one in the room burst out laughing quietly which made Ace confused.
"oh acey bub you were the same when you a baby plus he was just born a few hours ago, give it some time .'' you explained.
" i can't wait for him to grow up so we can have tons of fun together and don't worry mommy I'll protect him no matter what." Ace smiled and said as he gave his luffy a gentle forehead kiss.
Everyone's heart melted upon hearing Ace's words and you knew your kids were gonna be fine even in the future, they would be alright. Afterall they would protect each other no matter what.

bucky barnes x fem!reader — fluff/ angst?

Over a month ago, you and Bucky made the mistake of sharing a hotel room, and it consequentially led to the pair of you indulging in those romantic feelings you knew you always had for each other. At the time, it felt far from a misstep, but the awkwardness that followed made it all feel like a huge mistake.
A following three weeks later —two weeks ago— you found out some life-altering information - discovering that you were pregnant. You knew that it was the work of you and Bucky during that night, but you couldn't bring yourself to share the news. Recently, he's acted like he wanted nothing to do with you, and you felt completely isolated as you wallowed in the feeling by yourself.
During those weeks of uncertainty, you confided in Natasha, essentially using her for support until you worked up enough courage to tell Bucky. She was far more helpful than she gave herself credit for, and slowly but surely, you started to get there in terms of bravery.
You were all currently spending the night at a safe house, sleeping over to resume your mission the next day. Everyone grouped off to share rooms.
It was late, all but you sure to be fast asleep. But you couldn't drift off, something undecided going on with your body - you couldn't figure out what it needed; was it food, water? Something to steady the nauseous feeling in your gut? You weren't sure, so you decided to head down to the kitchen, creeping out of the room quietly, trying not to wake Nat.
As you make your way downstairs, you see the silhouette of someone in the fridge, their back dark - the outline of them lit up by the yellow-white light. You wanted to turn around, not wanting to talk in your moody, tired state, but it was too late. The creak of the last few steps alerting them of your presence.
It was Bucky. And the look on his face was just as uncomfortable as yours.
"I'm just about to go," he murmurs, avoiding you, turning his attention to the open cupboard of glasses.
You roll your neck, working out the kink as you step into the kitchen - it wasn't small, but the space was far too tight for two people who couldn't bear to be in the same room. "No, it's fine. I was just getting a drink," you shrug, standing off to the side of him as you wait to collect a glass.
Instead, he turns to you, handing you one. "Juice is on the counter," he nods, gesturing to the island behind.
"Thanks," you smile reasonably, uncapping the bottle and pouring yourself a glass. But when Bucky steps over, you hand him yours, taking his to fill for yourself.
He takes a quick swig and thanks you, looking around the room awkwardly.
"Do you know where the cookies are?" you ask, trying to ease the tension.
He nods softly and reaches into another cupboard, pulling out a pack of cookies. He opens the packet and hands it to you, acting courteous.
"Thank you," you smile sweetly, offering him the first one.
With a soft shake of his head, he declines.
"Can't sleep?" you ask.
"No. You?"
"No."
And as he begins to step back, you decide to speak up - not wanting him to leave just yet. "Hey, uhm," you pause, fiddling with the cookie wrapper. "We haven't really spoken... how you been?"
"Uh, doing good," he nods faintly, clearly holding back. "Have you— are you good?"
You nod, also holding back.
"Good," he nods, lips in a forced straight line. Feet turning away, itching to leave the room.
"James," you hesitated, clutching at straws - desperate to keep him around just a little longer.
His movement halts, and he twists back to face you. The simple call of his real name brings back memories of the two of you before all the awkwardness.
"I'm..." you inhale sharply, thinking of the words. "I need to tell you something, and I—" you shake your head, stilling your wavering voice.
He takes a small step closer, leaving a comfortable distance between you. "Tell me what?" he asks, the desperation clear in his eyes - his body language growing anxious.
"A couple weeks ago... I found out I'm pregnant," you whisper, momentarily closing your eyes - cowering away. "And I don't know what to do," you shake your head, avoiding his eyes. "It's a lot... and I didn't know how to tell you, but you should know."
The silence is deafening. Bucky's being far too quiet, and it makes you feel sick. You finally meet his gaze and watch the contrasting emotions play out on his face - he's clearly trying to process it all.
"I know the timing isn't great, and things aren't good with us," you try to be mature, attempting to patch things over. "It was a shock for me too, but I just..." you sigh, waiting for him to say something. "I don't expect anything from you, it's okay. I get it."
He nods, seeming to have collected himself. "Let's talk everything over, okay? Talk it all through, clear the air," he offers with a half smile, closing the gap with another step forward.
"Now?" you ask, thrown off by his sudden cooperation and interest.
"Yeah, we'll sit on the back porch," he nods through the kitchen window, gesturing to the deck chairs. "You tell me everything, I'll tell you everything. We'll sort this out."
You're pleased with the progress you're making, and your forced smile turns into a real one - the first real one he's seen of yours in a while. "Yeah. I'd like that."
I spent way too long trying to understand the pregnancy time frame of conception and implantation😭😭

fluff, angst, just a drabble.

Summary: Captain Buggy is a lot of things. The man is a kaleidoscope, each of his sides shining brighter than the others, and you love all of them.
Captain Buggy is a lot of things. The man is a kaleidoscope, each of his sides shining brighter than the others, and you love all of them.
He is talented - way more talented than it seemed in the beginning when you, hungry for freedom and adventure, agreed to join the Buggy Pirates. He is a true performer, flashy, dramatic, filling the room with his presence and making heads snap in his direction. He demands perfection from himself and from his performers, and you suspect that there may be something lying deeper inside of him, something that drives him even further in his desperation to be perfect, but you do not push. He will tell you when he is ready. For now you just enjoy the colorful whirlwind that is his circus, starry eyed as a child, and take the front row of his every show. The circus magic is in your soul now, and its ringmaster has you safely under his spell.
He is a leader, even if it is not evident at the first glance. Or the second. He may be chaotic, harsh on his men, and winging a lot of his plans, but in the end of the day there is an undeniable connection between him and his crew. His men are loyal to him and they will follow him without questions to whatever crazy scheme, big or small, he concocts this time.
He is lucky - even with all your love for the man you will need to be blind to deny that. Of course, he is clever and he is resourceful, but you have never met another person who could manage to fail upwards so successfully time after time. You sincerely believe that he can be proud of that quality - even if he himself has not realized it yet.
He is funny. Of course he is funny - how can a clown not be funny? But his true wit shines in the half audible comments he makes in that raspy voice of his when the two of you share a drink in whatever bar you end up at. He is observant - way more observant than people give him credit to be. His comments are witty and sharp, cutting to the essence of the unlucky person that crossed his path this time. These comments do not need a ‘Laugh’ sign. They make you choke on your liquor, and then you follow in a similar spirit with the observations of your own. You two can spend hours like that, trading comments and laughing, weaving one story after another until you either run out of alcohol or time, whatever comes first.
He is passionate - his blood runs hot and is as red as his nose, if not brighter. It is good that he is already a pirate and a criminal because the way his touch sets all your senses on fire is borderline illegal.
What not many people know however - nobody knows actually - is that Captain Buggy is soft. He is soft with you - only you - and you love him for that. He rarely shows that side of him in the daylight. After all, he has a reputation to uphold, and you would never hold it against him. But in the dark hours of the night, when the midnight has long passed, and the world doesn’t feel real anymore, he is different. It is in times like these he opens to you about his life on Oro Jackson. About Roger, Rayleigh, and Shanks, about grief and betrayal. About losing one family and desperately scraping to make another. He tells you about his dreams: you know him well to read the question what if I am not enough between the lines, and you prove it to him in any language and any way you know that he is. It is in times like these you tell him about your home island - a dot so small in comparison to the vast ocean around that it doesn’t exist on most maps. You tell him about your tiny village, your childhood, and your beautiful sisters. You whisper about the embers smoldering in the ashes of your home, about unnamed graves under a scorched oak, and a vow to never return. When the tears inevitably come, he is there for you. He holds you through the night and kisses your hands until your fingers are red with his lipstick. “Let me go, you Jerks! Im not an item!” The child growls, banging on the cage’s bars
Charlos awes childishly before throwing out the first bid
“It’s a big Bird! It’s a Big Bird! 50 million Berry!” He yelled out joyfully before waving happily to the child in the cage
“Grandpa will get you all! Grandpa will save me, you gross creeps!”
The bidders ignore the child’s threats, continuing to bid
“60 million!” A man in the back screams
“80 million!” Another man hollers back
“I’ll do 800 million!” Charlos shouts back while waving his arms frantically in the air excitedly
“D-Does somebody bid any higher?”
“800 million….” “Awe, man, I was excited to have it too!” The crowd mutters
“Going in 3!
Going in 2!
Going in 1!
Sold!
The winged child goes to Saint Charlos for 800 million berry!”
Reader screams as they open the door to their cage and begin pulling on the chains, trying to pull them out and take him toward Charlos.
“Don’t touch me!” They sneered, throwing a kick toward the handler that was closest to them
The handler dodges out of the way and gives them a look.
“Rude little one, don’t bite the hand that feeds you!” The handler growls
“You have just been bought for a very generous amount of money for no one less than a Saint himself! A nobody like you should be Grateful!” They turn towards The Saint and bow
“A-Apologies for its insolence Saint Charlos; if I may, I’ll gladly teach it some manners for you; no need to trouble someone of your status to teach slaves some tricks.”
Charlos groans, sticking his finger in his nose.
“Could you hurry it up? I want to fly it!”
“Yes, Yes, of course; im sure you must be extremely busy, Saint Charlos. I promise not to take more time than is needed!” they assure him, turning around towards the child
“Now come here, you stupid brat,” they growl, raising a baton towards them.
“You will learn to listen!" the exclaim, bringing the baton down, but instead of receiving a blow, the man before them falls to the ground, knocked unconscious.
Reader sighs with relief when the man falls to the ground, the people in the auctioning house following the familiar pattern they have come to expect from their grandpa’s powerful Haki
“Grandpa!” They say, trying to flutter their way to Rayleigh but are cut short due to the chains binding them, causing them to plummet to the ground
“Ow”
“Geez, Reader.”
Rayleigh sighs calmly as he wrenches the chains from them easily, not paying any mind to the explosions that followed once they were removed.
“You seem to be able to get yourself in all kinds of trouble,” He says calmly as he sets the child back down
“Haven’t I told you not to get near this place and much less showing off those wings of yours?”
“What was it this time?” He asks as he looks them over for injuries
“I tried to fly higher…but a wind current caught me, and I couldn’t get myself out from it; it dragged me here, and they brought me here.”
“A wind current?” Rayleigh asks curiously
“One strong enough to drag even you, that’s pretty surprising, to say the least,” He says as he continues to look them over
“Are you alright? Have you sustained any injuries?”
“Im okay.”
“Alright, good to know,” He says as he scoops them up and leaves the wretched place.
“That must have been scary, huh? Im sorry it took me so long to get there; my body doesn’t move the way I want to anymore.”
“I wasn’t scared,” they mutter
“It’s okay, you know.”
“What?”
“To be scared for one’s life from time to time it’s not something one should be ashamed to admit; it doesn’t make us any less brave; you have the right to be scared, just as much as you have the right to be brave.”
“Your feelings are real; you shouldn’t deny them,” He says as he continues to carry them
They stare at him as their eyes begin to water
He smiles gently
“Just let it out, Reader; no one will think less of you for being scared.”
They hug him tighter, diving their head in his shirt as sobs start escaping them
“T-They kept calling me ‘it,’ they kept saying how they would fly me around like I was a kite,” they sob
He ran his fingers through their hair while he let them continue to cry, hugging them back tightly as he did.
He couldn’t help the anger he felt rising when thinking about what had happened inside the auction house
He rubs their back gently as he continues to walk
“Nothing that they told you in it is true; Reader, do not listen to their words; you are invaluable and your own person, not someone to be owned,” He says
“I -I know b-but the way they said it, they meant it, Grandpa; I was nothing but an item for them to use in their eyes.”
He pulls them a bit more tightly as he did
"I know, some people are like that, wretched beings who enjoy stepping in other people and causing them misery simply because they can."
“You are someone special to me; always remember that; you are the biggest treasure for me and your grandmother,” He says gently as they rub their back
"Now what do you say we go back to the shack and ask Grandma to make you your favorite drink?" they offer, chuckling when they feel the child nooding
"Can we add extra chocolate to it?"
"Anything you want, Reader," he smiles, knowing that it would take a long time and effort to build their confidence and sense of security back to where it was after everything that had happened, but they would get there together.

a/n i wanted to write something for mother's day with these characters. short drabbles with these characters <3 and also a very happy birthday to shanks, mihawk and franky :)

you could feel zoro's hand going through your hair, brushing it every now and then. "happy mother's day," he said, kissing at the crown of your head.
you hummed, nuzzling closer into him. "when do you think we should visit c/n?" you asked. the moment you had gave birth to your kid, you had left her with your mother.
you couldn't have taken her with you because of how dangerous it is to be with the straw hats. especially with how your captain seems to manage to bring trouble everywhere he goes.
"lets go see her this summer," he muttered before the two of you drifting off to sleep.
rayleigh
"happy mother's day, darling," the dark king said, wrapping his arms around your waist.
"what are you talking about, rayleigh? i don't even have a kid yet," you laughed as he followed suit. "what about the kids that always come here to play with you? you do know that they see you as a mother figure right?"
you smiled. "i guess they are..."
sanji
"happy mother's day, love," the blond said as he peck your lips. "thank you," you groaned out.
a kiss from sanji the first thing in the morning was always a dream. not to mention the breakfast in bed, making your morning extra special.
he got into the bed beside you, one arm hugging your shoulder while the other gently resting on top of your overgrown belly.
"thank you for being an amazing mother. thank you for carrying my child for 9 months. thank you for enduring with all the pain that you had to go through, and thank you for giving me a second child," he said as he kissed your cheek with passion.
shanks
you smiled as you watch shanks and your son spending time together. he is such a great parent. in the indulging way that is.
"happy mother's day to my wonderful wife, y/n!" he shouted, making some of the crew members to either groan or smile. you let out a chuckle.
he had always been the type to boast at how lucky and amazing he is to have you. and to be the father of your son.
"happy mother's day, mama. i love you," c/n said as he peck both of your cheeks.
"yes, happy mother's day, mama," shanks grinned before pulling out a single rose. "for you, my love. thank you for being an amazing mother,"

"happy birthday to you..." you sang quietly, already waking him up just by the sound of your voice.
when he was fully awoke, his lips quirked upward slightly. "happy mother's day to you," he said. "and good morning,"
you peck his lips playfully before laying your head back on his chest. "you think we deserve a break today?"
he hummed. and with that, the two of you decided to stay in bed for the whole morning. that is, until your two kids barged into the room while complaining how hungry they are.

Boa is asking Law about the state of health of Ace, while Luffy stays by his side making funny faces, but Ace won’t wake up.
“Mugiwara-ya, let him rest, all the wounds have opened again. He is not ok, please. Plus, you should rest too”, says Trafalgar Law, who thankfully arrived to give them treatment at a crucial moment while escaping Marineford.
Boa looks at the ground thinking about ways to make Luffy head off a little, and she offers him some food. Even Law has a worried expression on his face. The whole Heart pirates crew is outside, really touched about the news.
Jinbei is on the coast with Rayleigh taking some fresh air, trying to calm himself. He is wounded too.
Truth is, so many lives have been lost in the war, but all of them were deeply touched by the loss of Ace’s lover… because Ace won’t be the only one suffering…
While inside, Ace still remains unconscious, yet salty tears flow from the outside corners of his eyes and has his fist clenched hard over his heart… Losing the love of his life, made a scar over his heart, almost as if he has a big hole in it. But somehow, he keeps breathing.
Luffy tries to act tough, he struggles not to fall because of his weak legs, so Boa helps him to walk away from the room. Some Kujas have brought a big pile of meat, but he is not eating. It hurts to see his brother suffering, plus, he knew his sister-in-law since they were little.
“This is going to take a long time to heal, and I’m not even sure if this type of wound could be cured completely, Luffy-kun. We should be next to him, as much as we can”, Jinbei tells Luffy while both are sitting on the shore looking at the sunset. “Yeah…”, says Luffy, with a tone so unusual, almost extinct.
The night comes, and everybody goes to sleep. Luffy, who can’t fight anymore against the exhaustion, falls asleep sitting next to Ace with his head over the mattress. Boa, who is at his side, also falls asleep. While Law sits on the ground outside with his back over the wall with his katana on his shoulder. He does not sleep, he knows Hiken no Ace’s life is hanging on a very thin thread, so he is ready -even if he doesn’t show it- to save his life if it’s necessary.
The sea and his sounds surround the darkest of all the nights. Law is watching at his submarine docked on the port when he hears some child shouting. He turns around and devises a little kid running towards the hut. The doctor stands up, and sees some Kujas running behind the child, who screams “Daaaddy!! Mooommy!!”. He gasps, he knows the little girl is Ace’s daughter.
“Oi, oi, kid, stop”, he tells her trying to tackle her to avoid her entering. “Let-Let me in!!”, she says and kicks Law. “Rouge, wait!”, everybody shouts at the little girl, but she is already inside. Boa and Luffy wake up scared. “Dad…?”, she asks at the foot of the bed. Rouge cries, without any sound, but with tears that could flood the world. Uncle Luffy is not moving, Boa hugs the little girl, she is not moving either.
“R-Rouge…”, a weak voice struggles to say. “Daddy!!”, the little girl says, and aunt Boa let the little girl approach Ace. “Daddy, what happened?”, she asks. Ace reaches for her and pulls his daughter to his chest. He needs to feel the warmth of his baby girl. He brushes his hair, while Rouge hears the heartbeat of his father slowly increasing. “There is a reason to keep living, Ace”, says Luffy.
“Daddy… where is mommy? I searched for her all over this island, I couldn’t find her… is she here? When is Mama coming home?”, Rouge asks. Ace shuts his eyes, once again, he feels a dagger to his heart, slowly but firmly stabbing him. “How am I supposed to tell my daughter her mom died protecting me? I am the one who should protect her mother… She is going to hate me...”, Ace thinks repeatedly.
The moment seems to be stopped in time; Ace can’t hear anything besides the words of her daughter asking for her mum. He needs to tell her the truth, even if that means he is gonna lose his baby girl, too.
“Baby… Rouge, my baby…”, he mumbles. Rouge looks at his aching father, perhaps already knowing what he is about to say. “Mommy… Mommy is in heaven now…”, he tells her, trying to sound as soft as he could. “Daddy… Mommy is dead?”, she asks. Ace cries, but swallows something that tastes like sand, mixed with blood. “Yes, baby. Mommy is gone… I’m sorry, I’m sorry she died protecting me. It was my fault, I’m sorry baby. I’m sorry…”, he tells her, trying to stand up, failing miserably.
“Daddy… don’t leave me, please. Don’t you ever go away, ok?” Rouge tells his dad while wiping his tears out of his cheeks. Ace gasps, and tells his little baby girl, “I won’t baby, I will always be with you…”, and daughter and father close their eyes as they melt into a tight hug.

Kate slinks through the dingy alleyway until she comes to a stop at a polished wooden door. Grabbing her lock picks, she swiftly picks the lock before stepping inside and closing the door behind her. She sighs, turning to tip-toe to the bedroom when the lights suddenly turn on. She winces, blinking rapidly.
There you are in the recliner looking pissed. She smiles guiltily.
"Hi babe." You frown, storming over to her and grabbing her by the ear. "Hey- Ow!"
She attempts to swat your prying grip off of her ear. You march her up the stairs and into your shared bedroom where you push her onto the bed.
She sits on the bed sullenly, looking like a scolded child.
"You had the audacity to go on another mission again? Sneaking out in the dead of night to do 'god knows what'. You haven't even healed properly from the last mission and you're out and about again. All it takes is one message from that 'Owl Eye' and you'll go flying to do whatever he asks." You rant, pacing around the room. She winces.
"It's- it's actually Hawkeye." You glare at her and she closes her mouth.
"I don't give a damn if it's 'Pink Elephant with a Baboon for a Hat'!" You huff, trying to calm yourself. You glance at the love of your life, normally so reckless and brave, now looking so small. "Listen, honey, I love you, but you really can't be doing things like this. If you are, at least give me a heads up, hm?" You murmur, caressing her dark locks.
She looks up, her eyes shining in the warm light of the bedroom lamp.
"Okay." She agrees.
"Okay." You smile, hugging her tighter. "I love you."
"I love you too."

You’d been part of the Roger pirates for quite some time now and seen so many different places, so the excitement of new places weren’t as big as it had once been. That didn’t mean you were not feeling excited whenever you landed on a new island, just that you could contain it to a minimum now. It still amused you to see the childish glee in Shanks’, Buggy’s and Roger’s eyes, whenever you came across a new island.
However, even their excitement was nothing compared to Oden’s. You had been taken aback by just how excited the man got, how he was the first one off the ship and how he always seemed to get into trouble. You were used to trouble anyway and it always amused you to see Rayleigh get annoyed, now a fourth troublemaker had entered the ship.
You smiled, when you saw Oden’s reaction to Sabadoy Archipelago and you grabbed his hand, before he would rush off somewhere. This wasn’t an island he should just wander off on his own and cause trouble, as you needed to lay low for some time, which had been explained to this dummy a few times already.
“Tell me, dear, are there any amusement parks in Wano?” You asked, as the two of you strolled through the town, his excitement shining in his eyes.
“Amusement park?” He looked mildly confused at you, making you chuckle.
“I guess not. Well, my treat then. Come.” You giggled and dragged him to the most tourist place here: Sabaody Park.
You couldn’t help but smile happily, seeing his amazement, when you came to the park. Like a child, he kept looking around, dragging you around to every stall, eager to try everything. At this point you were sure he was going to rip of your arm, so you gently placed a hand on his arm, getting his attention.
“Dear, let us start with the carousel. It’s my favorite and then we can go and have a snack.” You suggested, as he seemed to not be able to decide what to do first.
Smiling to you, he nodded. “If it’s your favorite, we will start there. I’m sure I’ll like it too, since it’s your favorite.” He grinned, as you started to drag him over. Even if he wouldn’t like it as much as other rides, you knew he would still like it, just because you did. He might be like a big man child, but he was a very thoughtful man and partner and you loved him for it.
You smiled, as the two of you enjoyed the carousel together and his childish glee was enough for you to wish that this moment never would stop.
