The fact that Jod has hopped in and out of the head military ships of the Nine Houses for like 9000yrs is a trip for me. So like if your grandpa survives his time in the Cohort he comes home and was like…. “I saw God eating peanuts in an admiralty meeting, once.” And that is like the family legend/brag for like hundreds of years.

Even worse (or better?) if your ancestor banged Jod. Does he let those people survive? Or does a Lyctor or high ranking officer find a way for them to conveniently die a “heroic death in battle”?

It’s got to be so weird for people of the Nine Houses who worship a god who hasn’t come back to their solar system for 9000yrs but your random cousin of a cousin of a friend’s uncle saw God and the Saint of Patience making out in a broom closet during his time on the Erebus.

Finally got to see The Marvels. Am so pissed this movie is getting the bad rap it's getting, as it's one of the most enjoyable Marvel movies I've seen in a while. Way better than that last Ant-Man movie, which made far more money. You don't even have to have watched the Ms Marvel series or Wandavision series to understand it. It was fun, had heart, and actual character development for Carol Danvers.

And, of course, it leaves us with a very important question:

.... Carol and Valkyrie are fucking, aren't they???

Also, 😂 .... my favorite minor plot device in any Marvel film at any time.

Random thought but here me out IceMav shippers of Top Gun and TGM fandom:

Over the years living with Ice and Mav being together (Wingmen, Best Friends, Lovers, Partners, Married Spouses happily) Ice encourages Mav to have as many hobbies as his heart desires whether or not it’s odd or strange (not usually hobbies others, society would think a navy military man like Mav/Pete would have or be into hobby wise.)

So Mav take up quiet hobbies of either being or all hobbies of: Knitting/Crochet/Miniature Model or Diorama making houses or model airplanes or ships/Handsewing or Hand Embroidery sewing embroidery hoop art.

Ice proudly wearing or displaying in their house’s walls or rooms Mav’s various masterpieces or finished projects. (Little Ship Dioramas or Planes displayed in Ice’s office at the base. Hoop embroidery portraits of Navy dressed Geese. Or knitted/crochet stuffed animals or blanket throws everywhere.)

All the gang of their 86 Fly Squad, Their Baby Goslings/Kids of the Dagger Squad, Bradley “Rooster” Baby Goose, Viper, Jester, Carole, and even Penny and Amelia all own a gifted craftily handmade gift made by Mav (Everyone loves/covets said item made with love and special for them by Mav/MavDad/Uncle Mav!)

Thoughts? What do you think Mav would enjoy doing as a unexpected hobby or craft besides working on repairing/fixing/building his and Ice’s bikes, cars, planes?

Ok but Gale and Rolan

Like Rolan is a pretty popular character, people seem to really like him and write a lot of fan fiction about him. And obviously a lot of people love Gale too he's one of the main companions.

So why do I not see them shipped together?

Like the way Rolan talks about Lorraokan before he actually meets the fuck it feels like he kinda has a crush on him, like a little celebrity crush. So we know that Rolan is partial to what he thought Lorraokan was: A brilliant and ambitious wizard who's generous with his arcane knowledge.

And Gale very much ticks all those boxes. He was enough of a magical prodigy to be Mystra's chosen, he had a solid plan to become a GOD and the very first thing he does to try to romance you is teach you some magic.

You can't tell me Rolan wouldn't be following the party around in the tower after the battle, see Gale being king nerd very casually explaining stuff Lorrakaon didn't even vaguely understand and not go:

"Oh."

And with how many times Gale has proven to be a good person by saving the teiflings over and over, Rolan could absolutely mentally gloss over the whole "What if I used the crown of Karsus to become a god?" thing.

And I mean, Rolan could absolutely pull Gale. We know from playing the game that it is not hard to seduce Gale, to the point it's kind of annoying. Post game Rolan could just invite Gale over to look at "This fascinating new tome some adventurers sold me that was recovered from a shipwreck/ancient temple/dragon's hoard! And we haven't talked in so long, please stay for a glass of wine. Oh you write poetry? Tell me more. <3" And he's fucking genuine about wanting to hear the poetry because of course that nerd would.

Like it's not rocket science, honestly it ain't even algebra. I'd give it like 3 months tops before Rolan is bragging about his "BOYFRIEND who is a professor at BLACKSTAFF ACADEMY and did I mention he's adorable?" And he just keeps finding new things about Gale to gush about to the point Cal and Lia start to consider pushing off the roof of the tower just to get him to shut up.

Gale would also be perfectly happy in the relationship, like he really just wants someone who supports him and is a good person maybe? As a treat? And Rolan has shown to be a little heroic himself, protecting orphans, trying to rescue his family single handed and fighting with you against Lorraokan if his spirit isn't totally broken. He can even bridal carry Gale to safety with his 12 str. No really he has 12 strength, you can google it.

Like it's not the OTP to end all OTPs but it's cute. And I'm just confuzzled on why there's barely anything with these two.

I have a lot of (mostly negative) thoughts about Wattpad, but everything that's happening over there w/r/t another fandom purge is why AO3 exists in the first place. It's sad to watch another cycle of queer and sexual art get removed because of Corporate Values, regardless of my personal opinions.

Everyone unfamiliar should do their Fanlore homework on Purges, starting with the infamous FFN purges.

I gotta say, I find it amusing that the Dead End characters in some ways embody the Scooby Doo mystery gang.

The first main example I can think of is Norma. Who is quite literally inspired by both Daphne and Velma. (The color palette of Daphne, but functions similarly to Velma)

However since she mostly embodies Velma, she's basically the Velma of the group.

In contrast, we have Badyah as Daphne over here and I mostly say this because her and Norma are often paired together to solve a mystery. (Yes, I know she wears glasses like Velma, but I'm making her the Daphne).

Then we have Barney and Pugsley filling the role of Shaggy and Scooby. This is a more obvious one as both dogs are capable of talking. Not to mention Barney has been shown to be more fearful of the paranormal and has stated that he's a foodie (although it's show less in him and way more in Shaggy)

Then finally, there's Logs filling the role of Fred. They're both cool and confident, but also have their moments of being scared too. They're also pretty technical (Fred with traps and Logs with park safety). Also Fred is the driver of the mystery machine and from what we see in the show, Logs is the only one seen driving.

So yeah, I just wanted to share my observations about this.

I woke up at 3am with a question:

In My Hero World Heroes mission the trigger gas bombs over activated peoples quirk until they like… died? Right?

Burst into flames that were too hot to handle, turned into nothing but a pile of hair, reverted into turtle etc.

Okay so… what would happen to people like Tokoyami? Would he turn into a full on …crow/raven (whatever he is?) or would Dark Shadow take over entirely and he’d just become a tangible raging shadow that is vanquished by the light? Or would both sort of happen and like when you shine the light on him he’s only a bird?

And what about Sato? Does he just get overly buff? The man gets too swoll and meets his end?

What about Shoji? Does he duplicate limbs out of control until he’s over stretched himself and over stimulated that he gets an aneurism?

Does Hagakure just stop existing? How do you become extra invisible?

Would Ojiro turn into whatever animal his tail is supposed to be from?

What about Hawks? Is he a straight up bird too or will his wings just get an upgrade? Bigger wings! He’d be able to handle it I bet lol.

Would Aizawa’s quirk just be activated all the time? I don’t see him really dying from that- unless he then can’t close his eyes for whatever reason è.è He might be the answer to saving someone else who was affected by Trigger.

And Mic? Would his voice become too loud all the time too? Speak and blow everyone’s ear drums without meaning to. :( idk how he’d die from that unless his own sound wave ruptured his organs too… XP

But now I wanna know anyone else wake up at 3am with this question?

I have discovered the joys of reprolabels/toyhax stickers.

Edit: Fixing the formatting / order of paragraphs because Tumblr completely screwed up the post between me finishing it and pressing submit!

Other rambling below the cut.

Due to local shortages, I've been without my antidepressants/anxiety meds for a fortnight, which has rather impacted on my ability to concentrate or create anything. (It's partly why, along with a busy work schedule, I haven't been able to draw anything/ new sgprime pages for a fortnight now, I'm so sorry for keeping you all waiting). Finally got some sorted though, so hopefully will be able to get back on track!

These little stickers are great, as they're pretty rote to put on properly but do keep your mind engaged, and they've given me something simple to do to take my mind off things late at night when things tend to be at it's worst. While Megs and Twitch probably didn't need them (though I do hope hoyhax does other Earthspark figures in future), they've made a huge improvement to Strongarm and Ratchet who were severely lacking in paint.

I've already Put in an order for more! XD

Random Fandoms? For Science.

Hey folks! Anyone else have some randomly obscure fandoms they're into?

I consider fandoms a thing you collect and keep in your pocket. Personally I've got a ton of them, but the weirdest one I have is probably the OG Dark Shadows.

There's a few reasons for this.

I am a good 40 summut years younger than the actual OG fandom.

It's kinda terrible. Like -- I found it when I was sick one summer and it was on SyFy (formerly SciFi. It was on after Farscape, I think?) and my initial reaction was, "WHY ARE THEY SHOWING OLD SNL SKITS ON THE SCIFI CHANNEL ... ?) And then somehow I was hooked?

Like I became a fan in the sense that I went to my local bookstore and read ALL THE PRODUCTION BOOKS AVAILABLE ABOUT THIS WEIRDASS SUPERNATURAL SOAP AND AT ONE POINT KNEW ALL THE ARCS AND BOUGHT A BOOK AND GOT IT SIGNED BY ONE OF THE ACTORS FROM THE SHOW. She looked at me a little weird and was like. "Good for you!"

I also got some of my friends obsessed with it who had the same initial reaction and then went -- "Okay. Not sure why, but I literally cannot stop watching this dang thing."

And I STILL consider myself part of the fandom! Like I've got a ton more fandoms under my belt and have engaged in different ways, but I think it's my weirdest.

So just general curiosity.

Do you have a fandom you consider super-niche due to your age demographic, or just because no one else knows WTF you're talking about when you mention it -- so you avoid mentioning it?

Was watching the season two finale of Abbott Elementary, and thanks to Ms. Melissa Schementi, I realized something.

Mighty Med was probably set in Philadelphia, PA because the first hospital in the US EVER was built in Philadelphia. In 1751, to be exact.

I won't be surprised if it's an allusion to the fact that Horace has been around far longer and was probably secretly involved in the foundation of Mighty Med.
