Oh this is amazing!!! I love how you draw seaspray!

Lil mini TFA comic set in my au playgrounds about the time Bumblebee was having it rough during his Autobot training with Sentinel Minor. Seaspray offers him a way to help get his mind off it and show him what he believes it means to be an Autobot. What will come of Bumblebee and his zombie space pirate fighting adventure? More to come, stay tuned!!

In G1 Bumbleebee and Seaspray seemed like really good friends, so I thought of doing a TFA spin on em and giving Seaspray a sorta role model/mentor role. Whether not this unhinged war vet who's seen hell and might just let Bee run around with a Halo Energy sword fighting zombies is a good rolemodel or not is up for debate- buuut where's the fun in that!

Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1

The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.

So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.

So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.

Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.

And the probe is working again.

From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.

To be honest I find the transformers can get pregnant thing takes away some of the interesting parts of the lore.

Transformers culture is in part interesting because it doesn't have traditional gender roles or human concepts of the nuclear family etc.

And there's the issue of asexual erasure too... I don't like the implication that a couple cannot truly love each other unless they have sex...

This is all my personal feelings. Like people can write whatever they want, it's just not for me personally...

Going on Hiatus.

I've been completely buried with work right now, having to work late into the evening/early hours of the morning multiple times this week alone. As a result I've just have had no time to work on SGPrime comic pages...

I'm so sorry, but I have to put things on pause...

I might post the odd picture on my other blog, but as comic pages are much more time consuming I can't keep the SG Prime series going right now.

Because I've been so busy recently, have an old deleted scene, originally drawn back in Feburary/March 2022...

This would have originally been Volume 3 page 15 and 16 during Shockwave's interrogation via Cortical Psycic patch.

I don't normally get this far in drawing something before I decide to cut it... but this was one of those rarer occasions, and it's been sitting on my hard drive for years.

I haven't edited it at all this is how it was when I decided to cut it. All I've done is combine the two pages and added *sentinel prime to the first panel.

On Transformers One...

It looks decent, definitely a "kids" film, but thats not a bad thing. Despite what some adult fans say, the Transformers franchise lives and dies on it's "kid" engagement! It's only survived for 40 years by attracting new generations of fans.

Visually it looks beautifully animated, they clearly did a lot of worldbuilding work with it. I will say I don't like how Orion Pax's face is animated... it's like Earthspark OP's "sexy squidward" face again, it just looks really uncanny valley / off to me, the "Thor" voice not really matching the character design probably doesn't help there... it does not sound like that voice should be coming out of that body.

The other's look and sound fine though, for the most part, even if some of the art style/design choices aren't quite to my tastes.

It also clearly a new continuity, I can see elements of the aligned universe's quintesson backstory. But they definitely seem to be doing their own thing with it, which is a good thing, especially considering the aligned continuity never really explored it outside of the covenant of Primus (which is a very hard to find and very expensive book). I'm definitely curious to see what they do with it, as I do find the Quintessons interesting as villains (as those reading my fics might have picked up XD), and it'll be nice to see the Decepticon characters fleshed out beyond evil "snarling" psycopaths in the films for once.

I can see why people found the dialogue a bit annoying. It gives me late stage Marvel vibes, very quippy and a bit unnatural in places... But that's likely/hopefully just a trailer thing, as they will cut out "the best bits" without context. Hell, I'm certainaly guilty of writing "quippy"/cringy dialogue so it's not really my place to complain!

TL/DR Honestly, it looks quite promising to me! A fun movie with some interesting worldbuilding concepts! I'm curious to see what they do with it.

Admittedly I can't really get "hyped" for it, or any film, as I know there's no chance I'll be able to see it in cinema (I have no one who will want to go see a Transformers film with me) and will have to wait for the DVD to come out.

To be honest with everything going on irl right now I really don't think I'm in the right headspace for hype, especially when it comes to Transformers; As on top of everything else I've recently been forced to cancel my TFNation trip this summer, which I was looking forward to. :') (Oh well money saved at least :) )

I don't want to watch the trailer under a cloud of depression as all I'll see is negatives, so I think it's best for me to hold off on watching it.

I'll post my thoughts on it when I actually get a chance to watch it!

It's been a crap few weeks, just too much stressful stuff going on right now, and to top it off I've been forced to cancel my August trip to tf Nation, which I was really looking forward to...

Luckily I hadn't booked hotels yet... but I don't know if I'll be able to get my money back on the tfN tickets.

Still very new to the Ghost "fandom" (literally discovered them within the last couple of months). So please accept my offering.

My first attempt at drawing Papa IV and not entirely happy with the face (trying to get my more cartoony art style to even vaguely resemble a real person is a bit difficult XD)... And is robe design is so bloody complicated XD This was somewhat loosely inspired by the dragon priests of Skyrim.

IDK if I'll properly colour this at some point...

Hi. If you don't mind, I would like ask for advice.I have a bit of a problem. I'm new in TF fandom , I got into it few months ago. It was because I wanted try out new things from this francise,my experience until then was TF Rescue bots and Bay movies. I first started with TFP because I heard that it was really good and it was.But then I unintentionally got spoiled the ending and I half of the excitment left me because of it. Don't get me wrong, I love it,all of the cast has great design and personality. But I feel like I can get fully into it after I watched it to the end. I tried to rewatch it few times after it but I can't get trought first few episodes! I'm now watching other tf things like tfa and MTMTE comic,and while I like it,I don't feel my heart in it as much as I would like to.It frustrates me to no end,because I want to be part of this fandom,but with spoilers to everything everywhere I feel like I can't. I considered to take break from it,but I'm afraid that I never will come back to it if I do.Since you are long time fan, I assumed that it would be wise to ask your opinion on this.

If you want to read/watch something that's going to be mostly spoiler free in online discussions, I'd recommend jumping in on the ongoing Skybound comics and the Earthspark tv show. As they're actively coming out right now, so there's just less spoilers floating around.

I'm not really sure what other advice I can give to be honest... as spoilers, especially for things that have been out for years, have generally never really bothered me.

There is the exception when someone actively decides to spoil something for me that isn't yet internationally available (as happened with Earthspark for me), eg. someone decided to tell me directly about it without me asking. It was very annoying but didn't really affect my enjoyment of the show. But accidentially reading something on Tumblr... well that's just the cost of being active on the internet unfortunately, especially for a franchise that has been around for decades.

You can filter / block tags on Tumblr like #transformersspoilers but that depends on people tagging things properly.

Honestly spoilers aren't the most important thing... often I find I enjoy things a lot more on a second viewing as you notice all the little foreshadowing etc. or details you missed the first time. And if you know a twist is coming but don't know the exact details it can be interesting figuring out how an author/writer is going to do it.

Sorry none of that is all that useful... but I'm not sure what else I can suggest.

I don't know how active I'm going to be on it and it's very bare bones right now. But I'm aware the vast majority of my followers on this account are here for the robots! So I thought it best to keep this one on focus and Transformers themed, but I do want to branch out a bit to other things too.

(Don't worry still going to keep SG Prime going! I've just been feeling a bit burnt out on it of late, a bit "boxed in" if that makes any sense, and doing the occassional different thing will help a lot with that.)

Okay last ghost post, at least for now... It's been a very stressful week due to work and other things, and I think my anxiety ridden brain just kinda latched onto this today as an outlet... XD

Admittedly I've gotten a little burnt out on my usual TFP SG comic pages. I've been putting them out at a much higher rate than usual, partly to cope with other stressors that have been going on. When I feel stressed or worried about stuff I tend to draw a lot as an escape, but I think I'm starting to fray at the edges with it all and I need to slow down a bit with them as I'm noticing more art errors slipping though!

That being said we should be getting back to the regularly scheduled tf content in a bit, I just needed to get this out of my system...

Late to the party as usual, but I've been looking for new music for months and recently discovered the band Ghost.

Maybe it's just the clever lyrics, darker subject matter of a lot of the songs, the theming, or the sheer variety of genres they delve into, but I've never in my life been this into a set of albums/a band.

Getting hyped/excited over music is genuinely a new thing for me.

Admittedly having super strict parents and living in a very socially conservative area, I wasn't really allowed to explore "modern" music as a kid/teen (or comics and cartoons), especially not gothic/"satanic" heavy metal. It wasn't outright banned, so to speak, just very heavily discouraged.

So it's kinda liberating in some ways (in much the same way discovering Transformers was for comics and cartoons). XD

Can't say I'm looking forward to this...

Maybe it'll be good... But I really don't think giving even more screen time to humans is going to help the TF movies...

I can easily seeing the crossover film getting "Amazing Spiderman 2" syndrome, where it's more focused on setting up and generating hype for a future multi movie franchise (eg kick-starting a series of GI Joe movies) then actually telling a decent story...

Suppose at least tf One is going to be en entirely tf focused film... I just hope this GI Joe crossover isn't a direct sequel to it...
