Story update

I got to write a good chunk of the opening these past two days. Excited to get more work done over March break. And I can't wait to get to writing more about my daughter T-T But she comes in a bit later in the story. Still in the first act, though.

It's. It's still just "proshippers". It's you guys (antis) and the fence-straddlers trying to have their cake and eat it too that keep creating random new phrases to "other" and distance themselves from us. We're here, unchanging, same as ever, in our corner with our silly little stories. We aren't the ones interested in coming up with 500 new labels for people who know that fiction isn't reality.

patrick saying his we made it moment is seeing people stay for saturday is making me feel sooo insanely emotional because it’s like. such a personal metric of success?? like. saturday was never a big hit, but they chose to end every show with it years ago anyways. even when they could see people leaving during it, they chose to keep playing it. because it meant something to Him and to Them, and to the diehard fans too. and just imagining, as time goes on, seeing people choosing to stay. actively seeing peoples opinions and hearts change over time and decide that its worth it to stay, to feel the love and importance that song holds for the band. it’s beyond just a symbolic show that your music is resonating with people and making it into their hearts- people staying Literally shows that. all us believers still believe everytime we sing two more weeks, y’know? and with every show, maybe they’re picking up more believers. and That is how patrick measures his success— in how many people are choosing to believe and to stay.

Just saw a post that said Scott and Stiles are not in love with each other. WRONG. they are so transcendentally in love with each other that they don't know they're in love and have instead resorted to saying shit like "I want to be the same person as you. We need to merge" and thinking it is normal. They are the epitome of weird, fucked up, closeted even to yourself, codependent queer friendship, guy edition. This is not projection

I'll forever be upset about how Elemental (2023 Pixar movie) flopped so hard, and it's not even its fault.

Let's be real, going against Across the Spiderverse would be a deathblow for any animated movie, but the marketing team REALLY didn't help matters. Not only did the trailers barely show up (to the point my friends DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT EXISTED), the trailers also did such a poor job representing its actual story.

A lot of people were turned off by the "unoriginal premise" as well as the "forbidden romance", and I can't even blame them but no!!! The story is so much more than just "ooo they can't fall in love because they're (gasp) FIRE AND WATER?!?!?!?" and "what if (insert concept) has emotions but elements this time"!!!!!

At the heart of it all is a personal immigrant story. A story about two fire people moving to another place in order to start a new and hopefully better life (aka literally immigrants). A story about their daughter who feels in debt to them for making the sacrificd to leave their home. A story about her feeling like she'll have to sacrifice her whole life and her dreams in order to repay them and make them happy.

Not to mention how Asian-coded it is!!! The director, Peter Sohn, is clearly writing from his perspective as a Korean-American immigrant, and as an Asian immigrant, I resonated so unbelievably hard with Ember's story. It really felt like the movie held up a mirror in front of me. I've never felt this seen in a movie before this one.

And it feels so good!!! I'm so sad that a lot of people will be missing it out because the marketing team did such a terrible job at their literal jobs. If more people gave it a chance, they'll likely find a story that truly made them feel heard.

Also the romance is really cute. Like I don't typically seek out romance stories, but damn that was good food, that was good fluff. I think it's also a great allegory for interracial couples, but I'm not in an interracial relationship, so I won't overstep too much!

Long story short, if you're unsure on whether you really want to see this movie or not, hear it from me who saw it twice:

Go Watch Elemental!!! You will not regret it!!!

The party gets into a debate about who gives the best hugs. Lucas says max does, which she thinks is very sweet but entirely incorrect because obviously Steve gives the best hugs. Dustin agrees wholeheartedly. Mike refuses to let Steve win so he says Will gives the best hugs. Will is like oh that's nice...Mike you give the best hugs :). El is like you are wrong Hopper gives the best hugs. No one can argue with her on that but Dustin is adamant that Hop only gives her the best hugs because he's her dad and therefore Steve gives the best hugs.

Steve hears this and is like you all are wrong Robin gives the best hugs, hands down. No contest.

And the Party is flabbergasted because Robin is not a huggy person. She's barely a touchy person. Like yeah she'll give a shoulder pat or a friendly elbow, but whenever Robin hugs one of them it's awkward and stiff.

When informed of this Steve is like "...uh. no? She's literally so clingy? We hang off each other all the time? Her hugs are amazing? What are you talking about?"

"yeah cause she's in love with you"

Steve doesn't dignify that with a response other than a huff.

Eddie walks in and Steve thinks he's got an ally in this pointless battle. Eddie is firmly of the opinion Steve gives the best hugs. Because he does. Nice big hugs with an extra squeeze in the middle. There is no other reason involving his big gay crush on Steve or his love of Being Held. Nope. None.

Steve is frustrated because while it's touching they think Steve gives good hugs, they are not acknowledging Robin's superior hugging!! The disrespect! Sacrilege!! Disgraceful!! And everyone is like Steve!! She doesn't give us hugs! Only you!!

Finally, Robin comes in. Steve stands and glares at the party, he'll show them.

"Robin!" He says, arms wide.

"Steve!" She grins and dives into him, curling her arms around his waist, tucks her face right into his neck, and rocks them back and forth, giving a good squeeze before they release each other.

Steve turns to the group with a smug expression because see? Best hugs.

Dustin is going to prove Steve wrong. He gets up. Smiles. Opens his arms.

"hey Robin!" And waits. Robin smiles and looks at him. Pats his arm. Give him a bit of a side hug outside his arms. Ruffles his hair.

"hey?"

Dustin grins.

"so we were talking about who gives the best hugs and-

"oh, Steve, definitely. Absolutely. Hands down no contest. Why?"

this was literally one of the first ntmg takes i made on this blog but i am still such a firm believer that the streaks in tsumugis hair is a failed bleach attempt at getting white streaks to match natsumes and thats why theyre not a different color like soras, but rather just a lighter shade of his natural haircolor. bc he didnt keep the bleach in for long enough and fucked it up. in typical tsumugi fashion

like even the placements are borderline the same. Hes crazy

"The Automaton Angel"

Experimenting some new painting methods and tackling value stuff. Lighting is wonky, especially if there are multiple light sources in one place, but oh well. Doodleeeeeee ✨️

"Metal angel" has been mentioned maybe a couple or a few times in the game. I haven't seen any theories on it, but I feel like P is definitely the "Metal angel" the game talks about. Not only is ergo gifted from a falling star, but P is also made out of that cosmic stuff (Carlo infected with PD, PD = ergo, ergo = cosmic stuff, cosmic stuff = falling star)

I'm not good at explaining things, so bare with me lmao 🤣 This is based on what I've seen while I played.

P is "merciful" in a way. He kills people and puppets, and quickly, too, if they get in the way during his missions. With enough humanity, he can avenge others too (or get revenge, I guess via the BRB destroying the hotel and kidnapping his dad).

P is also pure in a way. He was born in a world that was destroyed already, and he was built to kill anyway. (There are probably more to this, but you're welcome to add or correct me on this)

P also accepts quests from npcs, and most of them involve telling them the truth or a lie once he finds what the npcs were looking for. There's a post somewhere on here that talks about the morality of lying ( I will have to edit this later once I find the link). Most of his "lies" in the game are either to comfort people or to protect himself. But mainly the point here is his lies while helping npcs in need were all to comfort them. Even if they're dying, P's lies were giving them the comfort they needed before they passed. (Ex. The kid, by the window, wanted to hear Murphy's whistle one last time)

And of course, the best of all (not very evident, but cute), he's a good puppet who loves his dad and is willing to help others.

Anyway, there's me rambling on again. You know, I love the game 👌✨️

Sweet reminder from my thesis.

Sophia is not only LoP's version of the Blue fairy. She also shares many traits with her. The blue hair is one, especially since it is described as 'dark blue' in the book and what hair color does she have at the end of 'Rise of P'? Dark blue. Also the hairstyle and length of the hair is really similar at this point. Another thing is that her dress seems to be a more elegant version of the Blue Fairy's dress/gown. And... I know it is a reference to a famous statue... The way she holds P in the 'Rise of P'-Ending, is similar to when the blue Fairy carried Pinocchio to her bed.

Ghost had never felt an emotion as strong as this. It felt uncomfortably similar to anger, or his anxiety. It poked and prodded at his heart, his lungs, his throat. His gut churned nervously and he felt like throwing his head on the nearest solid surface over and over again. His intrusive thoughts became even more uncontrollable, the violent nature of his animalistic side howling in excitement.

Every time someone laughed with or touched soap, he could feel his subconscious screaming in protest, to gnash his teeth at anyone who dared get close to him. He felt like a disobedient dog, nipping at Soap’s feet for an ounce of attention.

He felt feral, like he wasn’t completely himself and it scared him. Every time he spots a mercenary sneak up behind Johnny during a mission, his heart screams and his hand lines up immediately and shoots on instinct, as simple as breathing.

“Good shot, L.t.” Soap breathes.

He only grunts in reply, his mind crooning.

Of course. I wouldn’t ever miss. Not if it’s for you. Only for you. Just for you, Johnny. I would do anything.

Ghost compartmentalises, pushing that part of him deep, deep down.

“Keep it tactical, Sargent.”

He wishes he could do the same.

Hello i have returned from my impromptu eighteen day camping trip among the trees in a tent and got slammed by a musical

Passed out immediately after getting home from another medical procedure today and when I woke up this was in my notes

I FINALLY GOT THE FIT
