just wanted to say something about this (i am a wolfwren shipper, but this post is from a neutral perspective)

wolfwren isn't for you? that's fine. that's absolutely fine. there is never going to be a ship that everybody agrees on. ever.

if you ship ezrabine, that's awesome, you should make fanart, fanfiction, discuss theories, have fun!

i know plenty of ezrabine shippers and most of them are lovely people :) some aren't- but this isn't a reflection of ezrabine's as a whole. same goes with wolfwren

the point is, neither wolfwren nor ezrabine shippers should be spewing hate in eachothers' tags for no reason. wolfwren shippers are valid in their opinions and deserve not to be accused of romanticising violence, being ped0philes, being straightphobic, etc.

likewise, ezrabine shippers shouldn't be accused of being homophobic, incest-shipping, etc.

NOTE: THERE ARE SOME BLATANTLY HOMOPHOBIC EZRABINE SHIPPERS OUT THERE- I'M NOT REFERRING TO THEM. THESE PEOPLE DEFINITELY DESERVE TO BE CALLED OUT ON THEIR BEHAVIOUR, BUT THIS POST IS MERELY TALKING ABOUT EZRABINE SHIPPERS WHO ARE SIMPLY ENJOYING A PAIRING THEY LIKE.

reading sabine as gay is great as long as it makes you happy! (not straightphobic)

pairing her with a guy is fine too, if that what you'd like! (not homophobic)

overall, you guys enjoy your ship and we can enjoy ours. we might not have the same opinions on ships, but we all have a common love for star wars that we should be bonding over :)

have fun shipping, just be open to the idea that your ship isn't the only way to read it. so ship what you want if it makes you happy, just don't shit on other shippers because they have a different take on star wars media.

EDIT: as @armoralor has pointed out, the wolfwren community certainly faces much more unnecessary hate as a queer ship, and the threats of violence and outright homophobia are certainly much more severe than simply fighting over a ship- the amount of hate a heteronormative ship faces is rarely the same as what a queer one does. (i'm aware there have been wolfwren shippers who've hated on ezrabine shippers which is unfair, though there have never been threats of genuine violence which is always unacceptable in any circumstance)

For all my fellows in the Sabezra community, let’s set aside all the negativity we’ve been feeling and the hate directed our way by certain people and just look at what happened today objectively at face value:

1.) Natasha and Eman have also expressed support for Sabezra, and more than once. The latter even liked comments from some of us this afternoon refuting the self-declared “victory” from some Wolfwren fans in the aftermath. They’ve shown support across the fandom and haven’t picked sides.

2.) Casts are by and large detached from the toxicity inherit in shipping wars. To them we’re all just fans with different ideas and preferences, which is true to an extent. They don’t see the division, the hate posts, and worse.

3.) It is ultimately up to Filoni and the other writers what happens when the story ends, and Filoni himself has virtually no presence on social media. Nothing has been confirmed and nothing has changed.

4.) The toxicity directed at us by the more extreme Wolfwren shippers is just that, meritless noxious words meant to hurt us out of spite. Sadly this cannot be stopped, but all we need to do to win is just carry on, because disrupting our presence in the fandom is their goal. Just report them, block them, and carry on.

Anon, buddy, attempted murder is generally not an insurmountable deal-breaker for enemies-to-lovers shippers — especially those in the Star Wars fandom, who ship pairings like Obikin, Kalluzeb, and WolfWren.

Regarding Kylo's dynamic with Rey, these two are your standard Star Wars arch-enemies that tried to kill each other a la the ships mentioned above.

And unlike the love interests I deemed way more problematic than him,

KYLO DID NOT...

• ...abuse Rey. (Christian Grey, Ahmed Ben Hassan, Derek Hawke)

• ...try to control Rey in the manner of a control-freak boyfriend. (Grey, Hassan, and Hawke)

• ...rape Rey. (Grey, Hassan, Hawke, and Aric von Schmidt*)

Schmidt may not have forced himself on his lover, but the Nazi concentration camp commandant's relationship with a Jewish prisoner falls under dubious-consent, at best.

• ...victim-blame Rey. (Grey and Hawke)

• ...own Rey. She wasn't his literal property. (Derek Hawke)

• ...sell Rey (out of spite) to someone he thought was gonna put her in a brothel. (Derek Hawke)

• ...hit Rey to punish her. (Derek Hawke)

Hawke would have given the woman he liked a "very sound beating" (his words), if a random copperhead had not bitten him just in the nick of time. Sadly, he survived.

Kylo and Rey fought each other on the battlefield as warriors. Equals.

Hawke's lover was his indentured servant.

• ...blame Rey for his own actions, after killing someone she cared about. (Derek Hawke)

• ...kidnap and hold Rey captive with the main intention of making her suffer. (Ahmed Ben Hassan)

• ...torment Rey because he was prejudiced towards her people. (Ahmed Ben Hassan)

• ...give Rey PTSD. (Hassan and Schmidt)

Schmidt kept the Jewish heroine in a concentration camp, of course she would have PTSD! He'd be heavily at fault for that due to his role as the bloody camp commandant.

• ...break Rey. (Hassan and Hawke)

I'm including Hawke here, given the negative impact his relationship with the herione had on her mental health.

Her thoughts on the matter: "I had loved Derek Hawke for years. I had given myself to him myself to him heart and soul and he had savaged them both, leaving a wreck, a shell of a woman."

• ...have Rey sign a non-disclosure agreement, wherein she wasn't allowed to tell anyone about her relationship with him. (Christian Grey)

• ...make Rey tolerate his crappy behavior towards her. (Grey, Hassan, and Hawke)

• ...pressure Rey into marrying him. (Grey and Schmidt)

• ...have Rey do things she wasn't fine with. (Grey, Hassan, Hawke, Schmidt)

• ...call Rey an ethnic slur. (Aric von Schmidt)

• ...make Rey attempt suicide as a "way out". (Ahmed Ben Hassan)

• Kylo and Rey's relationship didn't become positive whilst she was his prisoner. (Hassan, Hawke*, and Schmidt)

Hawke's indentured servant developed feelings for the asshole when she was his property.

So yeah, I hope this post puts into perspective how inoffensive Kylo is compared to other love interests.

(This is my first post on here😅)

i wanted to get this off of my chest about

The Drama between Sabezra and Wolfwren Shippers...

So i have been hearing a lot of drama going on with the Star Wars Community between the Shippers of Sabezra and this so-called "Wolfwren," which i really don't get? Because Shin Hati, who is an amazing character, doesn't have a name of "wolf" but people say that Baylon (R.I.P Ray Stevenson) found her during Order 66 and trained her to be not a Jedi nor a sith but something else? My guess is a Grey Jedi term. who both used the power of light and dark sides of the Force. Then, somehow, it gotten worse because the actors shared some Shinxsabine art? Even though they're just using them to promote the Ahsoka Series, and i know that the actors like this "wolfwren" (in my opinion... it's a stupid ship name, and I'm sorry about that, but i fully respect it just... workshop the name) And there are two characters that have the name of wolf. Such as Clone Commander Wolffe and Mandalorian Nite Owl Axe Wolves.

But Shin doesn't have that, but people have been saying that Baylon is like a Wolf and Shin is a Cub wolf, which is.... odd. But literally, tho. Even people who shipped Miles and Gwen they even called them GhostFlower.

Which i totally get!

Because Miles listen to the music Sunflower, and Gwen is literally a ghost to all the Peter Parkers who have lost their Gwens in their Dimensions.

But wolfwren? I don't get it at all.

But back to the point of all this "drama" between shippers and these so-called "ship wars"

But people can ship whoever they want they are going to be people who will disagree on stuff no matter what. That's what literally makes us humans. But fighting over fictional characters and sending threats to the artist is not ok, and your choices will always have consequences. I am going to say the cold-hearted truth.

Dave Filoni won't have the These characters get together in Ahsoka season 2 because we all must learn by now that Dave Filoni always has a character die in the series. I didn't care what reaction Ezra and Sabine were going to have when Wren found Bridger. And they hugged for the very first time. That made me happy, and i was happy that Ezra was found.

But it is also up to Dave Filoni and the Writers to decide that. And knowing Dave Filoni, he is not going to do that. Because we know that he's gonna write the story for season 2 on his own again, like how he did with Ahsoka Season 1, and we all know that Sabine isn't planning to get into a relationship because she's a rebel (not the hero type crap) the rebel type where she ditches school and causes chaos to annoy the police crap. Plus She's so Mandalorian. And let's also not forget that Force-sensitive warriors and Mandalorians were once Ancient enemies until Jedi Knight Revan got involved in the fight, but that's a story for another time.

It is also not ok to force someone into shipping that similar fictional characters. We all have a right and a choice to ship what characters they want to ship.

And i am going to give everyone a reminder about Ezra and Sabine. Read this VERY!! Carefully!

They are not related. i get it that they have a Platonic Relationship. Some of you can see them as Siblings while others just see them as high school dorks/best friends/friends to lovers and all of that crap. Which i totally respect, and it's your own opinion and your choice.

And fighting over Fictional Characters getting together is not worth it, and let me remind you all that both ships will never happen. And i am sorry to both Sabezra and Wolfwren shippers... mostly to The Sabezra group since i ship Ezra and Sabine for a long time since Rebels came out. But never mind that.

And sorry for saying this as well..

It is also stupid of people to fight over fictional characters that aren't real!! This whole ship wars is useless and an excuse to make more drama to the Star Wars Community.

Star Wars is for everyone!

And then, really, people are getting pissed off about the actors posting the wolfwren art instead of the Sabezra artwork. And also supporting it. (No disrespect to the actors tho they did amazing playing as the Characters in the series) Come back into reality the only reason why they did that so they can piss off people in the community and also promote the series/making money about it. That's what actors do. Everything is about the money nowadays and money talks. But let's also not forget that they are under contract as well. And I can not say a lot of things about the series. And they didn't credit the artist that made them because the Star Wars Characters aren't owned by us. But the official account of Ahsoka did they don't care if its a ship. All they see is just big dollar signs of those characters.

I'm gonna say this again to remind you all again. But it's gonna be in big words.

"IT IS OK TO SHIP WHOEVER YOU WANT TO SHIP, BUT THEY'RE WILL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE WHO WILL HAVE THEIR OWN OPINIONS AND HATRED TO THE CHARACTERS."

Came home from a church event to hear that me and my boyfriend (@simply-shin) are still being harassed by some ezrabine shippers.

If they were only talking about me, I wouldn't be responding. But they're also being complete jerks to my boyfriend, so here I am.

I and my boyfriend are being called bullies for stating our opinions.

I'm saying this right now. I do not care what people ship. But I draw the line at ships like Ezrabine. If you ship Ezrabine and aren't bullying people in the process, IDGAF.

The only reason this is happening is because I commented "wolfwren" on a ezrabine post. That's literally all I said.

I'm also wondering, why are you still posting about me after you blocked me? Makes absolutely no freaking sense.

He's also saying that we're trying to push our 'gay agenda' on people, but we're not. We're minding our own damn business while a bunch of grown men who probably live in their mom's basement are crying over the possibility of a gay couple in star wars. (oh no! how terrible! it must be the end of the world!)

Star Wars Pride Icons Part 3: Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger

I finally watched the Ahsoka show on May the 4th, and I absolutely loved it! I've been meaning to watch it for the longest time, but I've been really occupied with work and watching other shows, with burnout getting in the way too.

I tried to use photos of both Sabine and Ezra from the Ahsoka show. However, I only found one transparent of Ezra from the show. Unfortunately, I ended up having to use two transparents of him from Rebels so that way I have three for him to balance the three I have for Sabine.

I headcanon the both of them as Demi Aroace. I ship these two together so much! The scene where they finally reunited got me all excited and emotional at the same time.

idk it seems like most people talking about shin/sabine are clearly kidding when they talk about it becoming canon in the finale.... like super obviously not being serious... most people have been going around openly calling themselves delusional and are just having fun, but you seem to be disproportionately agitated and scornful about it for no reason.

anon contrary to what you might think i am actually capable of distinguishing between people being silly and people genuinely thinking things are going to happen! like i'm not referring to the posts i saw that were like "can't wait for the wolfwren wedding whoooo" which are clearly shitposts (and made me chuckle when i saw them), i am referring to all the posts i have waded through the past 6+ weeks of people 100% seriously insisting that there are only lesbian explanations to shin and sabine's dynamic and they're going to kiss any day now when the most they have done is attempt to murder each other and if you disagree you are a Secret Homophobe(TM).

like, i am not making any generalizations about the wolfwren fandom because i do not interact at all with it, i did not even imply "most" shippers are like this, but i hope that you can somehow find it in you to understand that i have a certain limit for shipper nonsense (particularly when it comes to ships that have inundated the tags of my favorite characters with very little of substance) and i do not really care if it's 5 idiots i'm referring to or 60 when i make a post about something that annoys me

Now, as meme worthy as that post was- it's unfortunately just the tip of the iceberg. Despite his exile from this social media site, he continues to be active on Instagram and TikTok. He also continues to get support from some of the same folks that have been painting sapphics and wolfwren shippers out as vicious bullies.

I didn't intend to find everything I did, but this man constantly comments under official Star Wars media posts calling queer women "degenerates" and "beasts," so it's been hard to miss. It honestly hurts to reread this shit again, but I want to warn anyone who 1) may interact with him without realizing he's a incel neo nazi 2) may be harmed by his continued harassment.

First thing to remember about him- he doesn't just complain about shipping, he has wished death and harm upon multiple people. On top of the two screenshots below, he also discussed wanting to put a bullet in Dave Filoni's head (the alt account was taken down before I thought to screenshot):

He wrote "these people need to be beaten" on a dozen anti-wolfwren posts before his most recent account was taken down. He has embraced the common anti-LGBTQIA+ rhetoric of queer people being pedophiles and rapists:

You'll notice the irony of him "worrying" wolfwren shippers are going to threaten the actors, despite him previously threatening to kill Dave Filoni and beat wolfwren shippers. He seems to be projecting a lot of his own desires and wishes onto other people, which will become even more obvious further down this post.

Now, thankfully his last tumblr account was taken down for inciting violence, but as i mentioned before, it's hard to miss him on other platforms:

Out of morbid curiosity I clicked on his account, and it's unfortunately what you would expect for from an incel. His follower and following list is littered with white nationalists, militia groups, tactical gear stores, weapon vendors, alt-right religious orgs, and 4chan neo nazis.

It's clean he's unhinged and a danger to those who don't share similar interests. He seems to make allowances for anyone who ships sabezra, but otherwise is a diehard supporter of alt-right Christian nationalist beliefs.

One of his previous account names on Instagram was @cajunminuteman, with a confederate flag as his pfp. In current alt right groups, a minuteman is a person who is ready to pick up a gun and fight on a minutes' notice, typically in a militia against the government. His previous account also followed a number of Christian Southern Nationalist accounts:

There are a number of shippers that continue to interact with this man. Most sabezra shippers I've chatted with are very sweet, some of you even share discord servers with me and have so much love for this fandom. I'm only asking those of you who choose to ignore this man's threats of violence to revaluate how far you are willing to go to support a fictional ship.

Wolfwren shippers have bore the brunt of fandom hate and harassment since Ahsoka started airing. We continue to get called degenerates, rapists, pedophiles, and threatened with physical violence. This is not the same, or in any way equivalent, to silly jokes made about fictional ships being made canon. It's exhausting to get constant harassment in real life AND online.

Are there mean wolfwren shippers? Absolutely. I'm sorry queer people sometimes cheer on cishet ships not becoming canon, I know it sucks when it's over something you like. No, enjoying cishet ships doesn't make you any less queer, and I'm sorry there was an asshole out there that said that shit. But can we PLEASE stop acting like sapphics and wolfwren enjoyers are ALWAYS bullies? That we're somehow always the ones threatening people? It plays into the alt-right rhetoric of the LGBTQIA+ community being predators and I'm so sick of it, especially when there is so much outright vile hate for queers.

If there are any wolfwrens sending hate and/or threats, I am begging for an example or name so they can be reported properly. None of us condone any of the nasty shit that's been sent, we deal with enough hate irl. This man's closest friends aren't much better, joking about wanting to hurt wolfwren shippers and how the LGBTQIA+ community is a bad thing:

On January 24 2024, his most recent Instagram account (@imperialloyalist01) was taken down. Less than 24 hours later, a sabezra shipper DM'd me asking me to delete this post. I explained to the shipper that the point of this post was to warn the fandom as a whole of this guy's behaviour, and at multiple points I make it clear everyone should stay away + not engage any of the accounts involved.

Everything included in this thread is public information taken from public posts or public accounts. The shipper who DM'd me still demanded I remove this post, as it could "hurt their friends."

The context of who the incel associates himself with is helpful when conveying the severity & underlying motives of his actions. There are approximately two non alt-right/neo-nazi accounts in the following/follower lists I shared. Those who were following @imperialloyalist01 up until January 24th were both privately and publicly made aware they were following a person threatening harm against others, but they continued to like, comment, and follow the account. This does not mean any of them should be harassed or bothered. It simply provides additional context to the situation and will hopefully aid others in forming their own opinions on who they wish to befriend.

When I reminded the shipper who DM'd me that their friends were continuing to make jokes about hitting/hurting wolfwren shippers, AND tagging wolfwren in those edits, I did not get a response. However, what I did get was mass spam reported.

Shortly after I sent the above message and the sabezra shipper realized I would not be taking this post down, my account was hate reported and temporarily terminated. Tumblr has an automated feature that bans accounts immediately (out of safety) if they are reported by a large group of people at the same time (which is fair, say someone posts torture or something terrible). Thankfully, after I emailed the abuse support team and explained the situation, they reinstated my account:

I will not be sharing the name of the sabezra shippers who tried to take down my account. I already get harassed enough, and I don't want anyone to go through the same shit. Please remember that a small group of bad people do NOT represent an entire community. There are plenty of sweet sabezra shippers that do not support this kind of disgusting and hateful behaviour.

Key takeaways: don't send hate or threats. Let people have their fun online while they attempt to avoid the Horrors of real life. Please don't support people spewing vile hate JUST because they like the same fictional ships as you.
