You’re like the main reason why I’m active again on tumblr. Like, a billion thumbs up for all your really good work.

I had in idea stuck in my head (blame book Instagram) where YN x Law where YN comes back to the polar tang from spending time with Nami and Robin, and they borrowed some books to read. Law doesn’t think anything of it, until he somehow finds out they’re ✨spicy ✨ books.

Waugdjsns pls you guys have been so nice i'm 😭😭😭 but also bookstagram is always two opposites of an extreme with either inspiration galore or just kind of a '...i'm just gonna...leave these people to it' for me but that's okay!! Everyone is entitled to like what they do but anyways!! Of course I can work with that idea though!! I hope this is to your liking 🥺

[Heads up!: implied suggestive book content, a little suggestive in general]

In terms of people you could hang out with when around the Strawhats, Law is glad you choose to hang around Nami and Robin. Neither seem to attract the same level of chaos as the rest of their crew seems to (neither does Sanji, but there are obvious reasons why Law isn't particularly fond of him) and though he knows you love your crewmates, having familiar faces outside of the Polar Tang seems to keep frustration based squabbles with them at bay.

That being said, you like to test the limits of how long he tolerates your absence before he's reaching out to you via transponder snail. "We do have things to do," he reminds you, and though he does his best not to sound like he's sulking, he can hear the smile in your voice.

"I'll be back before you know it, Captain. Don't worry." He does worry even though he tells himself that he doesn't, tension easing from his muscles once you're back aboard the Polar Tang. This time you have a two bags in hand, ones he eyes with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

"This is for all of us," you say as you hold up the bag of neatly packed food, "Sanji insisted on sending me back with some new recipes for us to try and said I should let him know what we all think."

"And the other?" Law points and you pull it out of his reach.

"They're books," you say simply, "for me. Nami and Robin had a few recommendations."

And then you're walking past him, conversation apparently finished. He doesn't think much of it after that, would never scold you for wanting to read when he does plenty of it himself, both for studying purposes and not.

It becomes a problem when he realizes that in having new things to occupy your time and attention outside of your job, you've severely curbed time spent with him.

So when you settle yourself on your shared bed with a book in your hand and seemingly no intention to pay attention to him from now until you inevitably go to sleep, he sets his own plan into action.

"Coming to bed on your own for once?" You ask when he settles behind you, long legs bracketing your own as he settles his chin on your head.

"Something like that," he answers, and you turn the page of your book even as his arms wind around you. He frowns when you don't react, now settling his chin on your shoulder. "Is that book more interesting than me?"

This time you reach up, patting his cheek absentmindedly. "Of course not."

It's not the answer that Law wants, far from it ㅡ and so he switches gears, tilting his head to press a soft kiss to the slope of your neck. And then another, and another ㅡ and if you've noticed what he's doing, you do a damn good job of ignoring him.

Until he starts nipping at your skin, little pinches of his teeth to worry small blooms of strawberry pink on your skin. "Did you need something, Law?"

"Your attention," he says simply, lets himself be petulant like a child behind the safety of a closed door. He reaches for your book, tugging it free and angling himself away from you when you swipe at it. "What is in this book that's so interesting?"

"Law, no! Give it back, please." He has half a mind for a moment to simply shut it without a bookmark just to annoy you (it's the teasingly mean streak he's had since childhood days with Lami) but instead, he decides to scan the page you'd been on himself.

Oh. Oh. So that's why you'd been so interested in these books as of late. He turns towards you, raising an eyebrow. "Never would have thought you to be one to read these kinds of things, [Name]."

"Shut up," you hiss, swiping the book back, though your glare is ruined by how red your face is. "I'm a grown adult, I can read what I want."

"Never said you couldn't," Law fires back before he's reaching, pushing you back until you're beneath him. His gaze flicks over his handiwork from earlier, smirk tugging at his lips as mischief shimmers in his eyes. It's rare that he's in one of these kinds of moods, and he plans to take advantage of it. "It's pretty rude of you to tell me to shut up, though. I was going to suggest we try out some of the things in that book of yours."

Why the Troy and Angela Situations Should Not Be Compared (+ Why Mike's Reaction Is Valid)

One of the things that gets my blood boiling as a Mike defender is when people try to compare the bullying/El's reaction to said bullying between the Troy and Angela scenes. They are not the same thing, not even close! Yes, they're both cases of bullying, but two very different levels of extreme.

Yes, I understand that words can hurt just as much, if not more, than a physical weapon, and Mike understands this too, that's why he tries to connect with El the morning after. But in the real world, one without monsters or powers, the one they believe they're living in at the time, violence is almost never the answer, it only makes things worse, as it did. Mike also understand this. Now, yes, it took him a minute to figure out that El didn't quite understand this yet, but he works to fix his mistakes as soon as he does.

Now, let's look at season 1's incident. Troy is threatening to cut Dustin with a knife if Mike doesn't jump off the quarry cliff. Two lives are in immediate and direct danger in this situation. El, literally at the last second, saves Mike as he's falling, so that's one problem fixed and one less life at stake. By this time, yes, Troy has moved away from Dustin, but he is still holding the knife! And then he aggressively steps towards El, threatening her with it, so she snaps his arm and makes him drop it. This is self defense, as well as defending her friends from a dangerous situation.

In season 4, Angela publicly humiliates El. Yes, it's awful, and yes, she deserves the smack that she gets for it, but it's nowhere near as bad as what Troy was doing. Angela isn't putting any lives in immediate danger, she's not brandishing a weapon! Legally, El smacking Angela is assault, because at the point of the roller-scate-smack, the ordeal is done with, and there was no physical harm done. I'd like to add that I'm aware of El falling, and that she may have been hurt, but technically no one touched her, so it still isn't technically self-defense (I may be wrong here, pls correct me if so). This is a very unfortunate situation, and I feel terrible for El, as should everyone, but I'm a firm believer that when it comes to bullies, you shouldn't fight fire with fire, and Mike seems to carry this belief as well, as he repeatedly tells the boys to just ignore their bullies in s1. @foodiewithdahoodie has an old post (can't find it irl, but it's stuck in my brain) in which they say El treats Angela, a normal girl who is not a serious threat, with the same extreme hostility she shows the UD monsters, and I completely agree with this. El is flawed, and Mike's not a bad person for reacting to those flaws, that just happen to include unnecessary violence, the way a normal person would.

Anyways, what I'm getting at here is that these two situations are completely different (again, Troy has a literal weapon, two peoples' lives were being actively threatened!) and Mike's reaction in both circumstances were completely valid! In season one, he was seconds away from death, and so when El saved him and made the threat go away, he was eternally grateful for her defense. In season 4, he tries so hard to get to her when he realizes what's going on despite having just found out she'd been lying to him for months, and he was even completely on El's side, trying to find and comfort her, until she hit Angela, then he believed she went too far (she did), so he made that known. He's never been one to sugarcoat when he disagrees with certain behaviors, and he doesn't start here, he tells it like it is: Angela doesn't look fine. It also is just a lot to process, so it doesn't surprise me that it takes an overnight thought-session for him to figure out where he went wrong, and again, he tries to make it up to her! To connect with her, bringing down some of his walls in the process! She just disregards his experiences, then brings up him not saying ILY, so he gets defensive and puts back up his walls, and they never get to continue this conversation! (This is an analysis for another day in and of itself tbh)

To reiterate, it just irks me when people compare these scenes to try and make Mike out to be a bad person, when they are nowhere near the same situation! His reactions being different makes total sense, esp when adding the shock-factor of it all! I'll stop talking now cuz this could go on forever and I lowkey feel like I'm just repeating myself now.

Childhood Friends to Lovers Relationship Headcanons

Tags/Warnings: No Reader Pronouns Not into romance? Here's some platonic childhood friends with Iruka hcs!

𓆃 It's a very natural progression, especially if you're in the same age group as Iruka and remain moderately involved with the village growing up.

𓆃 Iruka is friendly enough to be able to bond with just about anyone, and given you're in similar circumstances after the Nine-Tails attack on the village, you're bound to be drawn to one another.

𓆃 Especially if you're left with few loved ones, being around others who share your circumstances makes your situation feel less lonely. At least, that was the idea when the Third Hokage implemented the youth programs for those who lost family stability.

𓆃 It was an awkward series of after-academy and weekend activities thrown together by a bunch of volunteer shinobi who didn't know much about kids, but you and Iruka wouldn't know better until you were older.

𓆃 These programs were also open to children whose parents were now working around the clock to assist the village, so even if your circumstances didn't resemble Iruka's, you could naturally find yourself in similar spaces.

𓆃 You probably couldn't even recall the exact moment you and Iruka became friends at all. You just always remembered him there and could hardly think of a time where Iruka wasn't in your life.

𓆃 (Iruka remembers. He's told you once before. Something about helping him out when he was new to the program and grieving, but you don't actually remember any of that.)

𓆃 He's always the first person you invite to your group outings with friends and he always makes time for you. He actually always makes time for anything you invite him to, whether you explicitly ask him or hint that you'd like him there.

𓆃 For a lifetime, he's been at every graduation, performance, and new life event you could ever ask someone to be at.

𓆃 Iruka was also always at your place, and if he wasn't at yours, you were at his.

𓆃 Any family you have surely already considers him one of them, your more sentimental— or otherwise slightly ditsy— family forgetting that Iruka isn't another blood family member.

𓆃 As you get older, your friends or extended family will constantly assume that Iruka's your partner. From your teenage years on, everyone will assume that you're a couple whether you are or not.

𓆃 And, well, you practically are a couple. You see each other every chance you get; you talk to each other every chance you get; you work in complete and utter tandem, that even people who don't know you very well assume that you're a couple.

𓆃 With his proximity to the people closest to you, it's an appropriate assumption and when you do finally get together, no one's surprised.

𓆃 Hell, even if you decide that marriage is for you, no one would be surprised about that either.

𓆃 "I thought you were already married," practically every shinobi in the village will most certainly say upon your announcement.

𓆃 Children will be a large part of your life whether they're yours or not, strictly because of Iruka's status as a teacher. His students mean the world to them, and by extension, it's probably for the best if you get as least a little involved.

𓆃 Your dynamic will work best if you show a level of dedication on par with his, whether you're another teacher, a sensei, or even simply drop by with treats every so often.

𓆃 The students think that ANBU warriors are fascinating and giving demonstrations of your superior kunai skills never fail to impress.

𓆃 "You'll only be able to do that if you do all your homework on time!"

𓆃 Your relationship is village-centric. Perhaps you won't be setting off on any crazy joint-mission anytime soon, but you will have a close, natural relationship and a village full of people who absolutely adore you.

TAN IS NEW

Hello, fellow associates, I, local deranged man, bring you (by request of @ayansbff who said I should "go make a post and patent it fr." thank you, Naga <3) once again a theory as insane as whatever has been going on in the ASOIAF fandom in the last 10 years (but no, I'm not here to tell you Tan is a horse or New is a faceless man).

For this week's episode: Tan is New (but with some spice).

Pls beware, this will require a certain level of "bear with me", ok? Ok.

Also: long ass post, guys. Be prepared.

So, 1st things 1st: New is obviously studying abroad.

This would mean that, in all the episodes we've seen of the flashback, we wouldn't have seen New. Because he's literally in a different country (cue theory: New is Mhok working as a cook in Hawaii ksksksk /j).

Nevertheless, in the latest events of the past storyline, Non has just gone M.I.A. Which is definitely something you'd tell the kid's brother about. I'd be pretty pissed if I was New and no one fucking told me about my brother vanishing.

(I think it could definitely be argued that their parents might try to hide the whole getting involved with money laundry and even the pedophilic child revenge porn sex tape on Twitter thing, especially their mother. bc, considering their treatment of Non this episode, it would definitely cross my mind that they'd think something along the lines of "New shouldn't be worried about what his fuck up of a brother is involved with, he should just focus on his study". And idk if Thailand's national news would arrive to New in the US just like that (maybe, maybe not, I won't try to speculate too much, I think it's too much of a wild card). YET, I still think, regardless, they'd have their limits even if the rest was true and they'd tell him about his brother being literally MISSING. So yeah...)

So back on track: sure, the police "think" Non has run away with Keng

Or, was convinced by Tee's uncle to accept that storyline

but Non's parents don't believe that shit

("They're TRYING to make our son LOOK LIKE" not "They think our son HAS")

And I think the same feeling could've been passed to New by his parents or just by New himself. But even if not, I think it's pretty reasonable to assume he'd come back to Thailand after that news. Like, if my brother was missing, I'd feel pretty bad, my parents would feel pretty bad and I'd want to go back home and be with them a bit, follow things up close, at the very least.

So, assuming that's true, it's not weird to presume New could be back in Thailand by the time The Hidden Character (the film Non wrote, not the BOC reality show thing) airs. Which would lead us to:

Now, I've seen people say it's Tan, I've seen people say it's White, I've seen people say it's Bible (?)... To me, that's Tan. The voice that calls "Phee" seems to me that's Mio's voice and the person we see in the door, albeit he does resemble Bible, reads to me as him as well.

Besides, we see him being introduced to the class in the ep.9 preview so, yeah, it could be to throw us off, but I genuinely think it's just bc it's Tan.

Regardless, even if not, Tan will appear next episode. So... There's that. Question is: why?

We see both Tan and Phee moving to the gang's class next episode, which the gang points out as "weird". Now, idk why it would be weird to see people change schools in 12th grade but fine, I'm not gonna argue, maybe they know something I don't. Ig you could argue it's bc it's the last year but I'd say people have issues all the time (being the last year of school doesn't change that) and people also move houses all the time. So I wouldn't question it but ok. Moving on.

We know Phee has a connection to Non (as his ex-boyfriend) but we don't know why Tan would be there too. Sure, we can argue Phee has to have friends. But, ngl, if my friend asked me to move schools bc he wants to find out what happened to his bf who mysteriously disappeared, I'd politely decline. I'd support him in his endeavours, of course, but I wouldn't change my entire life for it. I could even go as much as to help him befriend them and hang out with the fuckers but I wouldn't move schools, I think.

So Tan must have a bigger motive, right? And what bigger motive than being the brother of Non, am I right?

Furthermore, we have to consider legal matters. They're all minors. Phee's father, of course, knows about Phee being, at least, friends with Non. And, even if he told him to stay out of trouble and that he himself would not go around poking in the business for Phee's own safety, I think he'd be okay with Phee moving schools for grief reasons (a.k.a being close to Non because that was his school) or even bc he knew Phee was trying to talk to his friends (I don't think he suspects the kids too much and honestly that's a terrible lack of sight on his behalf but, I mean, they're kids, I think it's fair to assume they're innocent).

But what about Tan? Assuming Tan is not Non's brother, would his parents let him move schools to the school where all those nasty kids who keep appearing on the news study??? I don't think so. Sounds dangerous. Things change, of course, if Tan is not actually Tan but New.

Non's parents, despite their obvious lack of parenting skills, care about him. He's their son. They'd want to know what happened. And, sure, New getting involved would be terrible for them (bc he's their son and clearly the favourite child and god forbid he wastes his potential studying there bc of Non's failures AGAIN), but if New specifically requested that, would they go against it? Would they go against their talented son and his show of altruism and love for his brother?? Especially when the police are not doing anything and it's just trying to close the damn case??? I don't think so.

Thus: Tan is New.

"But what about his legal name???", I hear you say. "If they're siblings they'll have the same last name!!" And yeah. That's true. Especially in Thailand where most surnames are exclusive to a singular family. But I thin- "What about the age gap??? New is older than Non!! His mom even refers to him as Non's phi!!!" Yes. I know. That's where the spice comes in:

NEW IS ADOPTED.

There, I dropped the bomb. This would mean that, maybe, his legal name wasn't changed from what it originally was. Sure, it could've, since he's now part of a different family but they also could've kept the original surname. Which is likely if New wasn't adopted in a normal fashion.

We have to consider how poor Non's family seems to be. Whether that's a new situation or it has always been like this we don't know. But that's something. Now, I'm not Thai nor do I live in Thailand but from what I read, income does factor a lot into whether or not a family can adopt a child (at least in theory). So I'd assume a poor family would struggle with it. Nevertheless, it seems Thai law puts a lot of value into family ties with the child so, maybe New was someone else's child originally like of a brother or a sister of one of Non's parents. Or maybe something else entirely, I don't know. I don't think it matters that much.

"That still doesn't explain the age gap though. Tan is only 2 months older than Non!!"

Well, that's still older. Would that qualify him as "phi", idk? Both Pimpa (Non and New's mother) and Non refer to him that way. But maybe that's just another way for the series to tell us there's a ver clear hierarchy between these brothers and Non comes second. Idk. (if you're Thai or know Thai culture well and would like to add input here, pls do)

"WHAT ABOUT THE PICTURES, DANTE???"

Ok, yeah, I know. They make a compelling case.

(I took the liberty to brighten them bc OMG WHY IS THIS SHOW SO DARK????)

And yes, in the picture further to the left it does seem like they have a huge age gap but also, in the picture right next to it, it doesn't seem so (in fact the kid in blue seems about the same age in both pics, only the other one doesn't). So maybe the kid in pic one is not Non, it's some other kid (could be, especially considering he's wearing blue and, as the fandom's most dear colour theorist @shannankle has pointed out on a lot of posts but most especially this one: Non's colour is red). Or maybe it is one of them and they just grew up at different paces, idk. It happens, man.

TBH I'm not greatly concerned about the pics. What I am concerned about is the narrative implications of this. That his parents's (and, as previously established, especially his mother's [who is the most present parent in his life, as stated by the parents themselves in ep.8])

favourite kid is the one who isn't even theirs by blood. That their favourite son is the one that is not actually their son (I obviously do believe adopted kids are as much people's kids as biological ones, family is made not inherited, but I mean this as strictly talking about the blood relations of these people)! That no one ever loves Non enough to actually save him from doom (bc, like a fairytale princess, the thing that could prevent Non's demise was love).

If his peers had loved him enough he wouldn't have felt the need to cling to that awful gang. If Jin had loved him enough he would've helped him get away from Tee in this episode, at the very least. If his parents had loved him enough, they would've prevented him from falling prey to so many people or, at least, would've been trustworthy for him to talk to and helped him get out of the situations he was getting himself into.

This would also play well with the character's names:

Non. That which/whom isn't.

Who isn't seen, who isn't heard, who isn't loved, who isn't perfect, who isn't who people expected him to be, who isn't the gang's friend, who isn't his parent's perfect son (not blaming him but that's how they see it), who isn't the boyfriend Phee hoped he would be (not blaming him for the sexual assault he suffered, just seeing it through Phee's eyes, pls don't misinterpret).

New. That which/whom is fresh, original. That which just arrived.

Who is a prodigy, a talent, one of a kind. Who is so different from Non and his "crooked ways". Who arrived at the family later. Who just arrived in Thailand, who just arrived in Non's school. Who is a new person, who has a new identity, who has a new life goal.

So, yeah, it is a bit crazy and depends on a lot of circumstantial and potential facts that have not been hinted towards AT ALL by the show. And I recognize that. But I think this is what is fun about theories and speculation and, even if this is not true (likely), I still had fun crafting this and showing it to you guys. At the very least it's entertaining and keeps us thinking.

Pls feel free to add stuff or question stuff in this post, I'd love for us to work together as a community for our little murder gays show. Hehe.

Also, I'll leave you a question myself: if this is true, does it mean Phee and Tan are working together as the killers, only one of them is killing or neither is committing murder? 🤔

Give Zalgo lore pls/nf

ok ok . so zalgo lore is still under the works, but i have core concepts down for him . . .

lots of demon and goat and skeletal imagery, obviously. . . eyes, too. lots of eyes. he likes to take them, says it gives him more sight over the forest - which he thinks he's the 'ruler' of.

as for plot. he was a demon that sort of 'ran' the forest while O/S was dormant. he ate people who came in, made monsters out of the animals, made the general area roaming with the paranormal - he likes chaos, horror, power.

when O/S woke up, he was quickly dethroned. he's weaker than them, 'allergic' to their bodies/presence, etc.

slendy's jaw is able to detach and he vomits a liquid that's poison to zalgo - said liquid is used as the ink in the slender pages. when the proxies surrounded the forest with slender pages, it acted as a sort of... force field? It trapped zalgo - and his puppets - in the forest. sort of like a salt circle! they can't tear down the pages, can't even get close to them without adverse reactions. this is why slendy and the proxies get so heated when they're messed with.

so zalgo is angry. for a long while, he's using animals to try and win back power. he'll infect deer, bears, even rabbits. it didn't really do anything . . those animals are also sick to O/S liquid, and the proxy cabin has pages all around it. zalgo couldn't get close to the proxies or proxy victims, so he couldnt infect humans.

until an infertile, desperate woman came to the forest. she was deluded, praying for a child, begging for anything. she planned to kill herself that night in the forest, but zalgo promised her a child. she left soon after, unaware that it worked. that was lazari's mother. but of course, once the woman left, zalgo couldn't go visit her. humans remained useless to him, but he realized that it wasn't ALL humans he couldn't get close to. just tainted ones.

then Lulu came along. she died in the forest after a hazing ritual that involved swimming in the forest's lake in freezing weather, later succumbing to hypothermia. the sorority girls, terrified of the consequences, buried her in the forest and ran off. so zalgo infected her corpse. but lulu was weak, docile, foggy - generally, a massive disappointment.

then Ann came along. she was dragged by a 'fan' who was obsessed with her redroom content and wanted to make his own, so he killed her in the abandoned hospital at the forest. kate killed the man, but zalgo infected ann's corpse very quickly. ann was a much better suitor, having already been a violent, disgusting person when she was alive - BUT she was also trapped in the hospital. it was a labyrinth to her, and while she tried to attack the proxies at first, she eventually realized it was futile and gave up. once again, a failure.

finally, his daughter returns to the forest - being dragged along by an older girl named Dina. Lazari bit Dina weeks prior, infecting Dina and ruining her life. so she wanted to kill Lazari as a sort of divine punishment, since they belonged to the same religious cult.

Lazari immediately kills Dina. Lazari runs to escape the forest, dripping in blood and grime and guilt and shame - and she is trapped by the fucking pages. While Lazari is away, Zalgo infects Dina's corpse. and oddly enough, Dina seems like a much stronger candidate. level headed, determined, angry.

AND THAT'S WHERE IM AT RIGHT NOW!!!

at this point in the story, the proxies are trying to figure out what to do with zalgo. while the operator seems to be getting weaker, zalgo is getting stronger - he has four girls running around the forest, and while 3/4 of them want nothing to do with him, he's still getting a better footing against the proxies. soooo... now they gotta deal with that!!!

TLDR;

zalgo was the 'ruler' of the forest until O/S woke up. now he wants power back, but slenderman's "vomit" acts as a salt circle that traps zalgo in and protects the proxies.

so, he begins infecting corpses in the area.

he can only infect corpses that died in the forest and were NOT killed by proxies. if they were even touched by the proxies, he can't infect it.

any excuse he gets, he just wants to dance or perform with you. he's always learning your/your group's choreography. like he just has to learn it. when you are on the stage performing he is dancing to the choreography from his seated area while the other members join in the fun too.

so we can gather he's not exactly subtle when supporting you. he stands up, dances and sings along when you're performing on stage at an award show. the fans even hear him shouting your fan chants and of course, the camera almost always pans to him when this happens.

will binge-watch all your content/variety shows. with the little free time he has he figures what better way to use this time to catch up on your content! obsesses over your fancams and he will always tell stay to stream your new song every chance he can get.

and you best believe that his whole fyp is literally of you, which you find adorable. fans realise you both are dating or that he at least has a massive crush on you when he reveals his home-screen of you on a live, completely forgetting that it was a picture of you 🤦

on the inside, he's like... on his KNEES begging you to do a duet with him because he's obsessed with your voice. of course, this is seungmin though. he might not dramatically gush over you like hannie would, but you can tell by the way he keeps dropping hints that he really wants to perform with you.

"ah your voice is really good in this track" or "our vibes would totally complement each other if we were to perform together." all these hints just encourage you to come up with the idea of performing with him because he's too damn shy to ask you himself, bless him <//3

jeongin

thinks you're super cool. he's more of a quiet supporter compared to some of the other members. he likes the fact that your schedule is quite similar to his; that way, he can meet up with you during his lunch breaks or even pop over to practice some choreography with you.

otherwise, i don't think being an idol with have much impact on the way he treats you. i think the real truth comes out about his feelings when you perform for the first time at an award show. just the way his eyes are fixated on you and he looks so utterly and hopelessly in love with you... yeah.

nope! it's totally fine to dislike lynz, i also don't like her myself. she's said some very questionable things and MSI grosses me out, as does her association with jimmy urine. i already know people will want to take this the wrong way so i want to make it clear that i'm not defending any of that. i'm pointing out an irritating mindless pattern of behaviour in this fandom that is immature and reductive at best and misogynistic at worst, which includes:

1. the intensity of the vitriol that is directed at her being disproportionate to most of the men ppl blog about who have done/said similar, if not much worse, things. and honestly in a lot of cases disproportionate to what she's actually done

2. the fact that i see so many people (especially on twitter) blindly jumping on the bandwagon of hating on her often without knowing what exactly it is they're hating her for - and even then, most of the reasons i see parrotted on twitter are either contextless and overexaggerated or not even one of the aforementioned valid reasons for disliking her. i don't know how to tell you this but if you believe everything on lynzuglyliar you need to reevaluate how you engage with information on the internet lol

3. the level of glee with which people hate on her, which truly smacks of old-school fandom misogyny reserved for women who marry your faves or get in the way of your favourite ship. on twitter especially it honestly truly feels like people are delighted to have a wife of the band they're "allowed" to hate on lol. i know a lot of that is coming from teenagers who will grow up and learn more self-awareness but that doesn't make it any less annoying or disappointing to see

4. the ridiculous mental gymnastics required to hate her so much while continuing to be a fan of the person who is married to her and in love with her lmao. sorry but if you truly think she's that irredeemable why are you still here

like. i hate msi and i go out of my way to avoid listening to them. but it's worth keeping in mind that the kind of shock-jock edgy gross music they wrote was not exclusive to msi in the 2000s. i hate it too and think it's stupid and counterproductive to whatever point it's supposedly trying to make but it was like. a thing for a while unfortunately. it was bad at the time and it aged even worse, but gerard and frank at the very least, and probably the others too, vocally enjoyed it. frank voluntarily chose to tour with msi and mcr performed with them multiple times and were always excited about it. if you truly think lynz's involvement with that band is indefensible, you should extend at least part of that criticism to mcr too. the amount of times i've seen people saying "omg frank hates lynz so much" is fucking ridiculous, and it's based entirely on the same kind of conjecture that led people to believe mcr didn't remain close friends after the breakup lol. if you have to make up things like that - or worse, make up and spread infidelity rumours or actual domestic abuse allegations (it's not even rare to see this on twitter) - to excuse their association with lynz/msi, you need to take a look at yourself tbh

this is partly a twitter-specific problem because that platform is literally set up to disallow meaningful or nuanced conversation but it's really exhausting to see hundreds of snippy "she's the devil" tweets and if you say anything vaguely critical of the the way fandom treats her you get immediately shot down with "why are you defending A Racist" with zero context or clarification. i hate to break it to you but if lynz is A Racist of an irredeemable level, so is gerard. hell, so is frank for blindly listening to and promoting black metal bands with nazi associations when he as a metal fan should know better and do his research. lynz's racism in question is the kind that's overwhelmingly common among liberal white women who are into witchcraft-type stuff. again, i am not condoning it, it's still wrong, but you cannot hold her to different standards than you do the guys in mcr. i'm just saying if you're able to acknowledge gerard's questionable statements and attitudes in the past, condemn them, acknowledge that he's changing and learning, but still go on liking him as a person and supporting his art...what is the reason you can't do the same for lynz.

i've seen people on twitter accuse lynz of plagiarism in an impressively tone-deaf misinterpretation of her art genre, sometimes the same people who would call gerard doing something similar a clever reference. i have literally seen people quote male members of MSI making sexually objectifying and openly misogynistic comments about lynz as some kind of gotcha saying "look, even her bandmates don't respect her" and like...if you can't see something deeply wrong with that i don't know what to tell you. i've seen COUNTLESS people bring up vague information "revealed" by her actual estranged family members on twitter after people stalked them to try to get dirt on lynz and if you think parroting back contextless one-sided information from other people's private family drama isn't a) about the least reliable source of information ever and b) deeply disgusting and inappropriate, i really don't know what to tell you

if you despise lynz to the point where you're in mcr's comments telling gerard to divorce her (again. i shouldn't have to say that this is disgusting behaviour) or booing when they perform summertime or accusing her of infidelity or abuse (which i cannot stress enough are rumours originally made up by frerard tinhatters) or anything like that, why are you even here. like what mental gymnastics are you doing to be able to remain a fan of gerard at this point. none of this is activism, if anything it's counterproductive to your point because it's indicative of the lack of critical thinking or maturity that's necessary when you're engaging with topics like casual/unconscious racism and normalised sexual abuse in the music industry

i'm probably not going to say more about this because this isn't really the hill i want to die on considering i don't even particularly like her myself but please i am begging you approach your dislike of lynz with just a little bit of critical thought and self-awareness instead of just blindly despising her for things that most of the men we blog about are also guilty of.

OKAY! I have been stressing about these titles all day and I need to say a few things about them.

Spoilers for the titles the rest is pure speculations and predictions!

Episode 9!

Okay... So to start my predictions, I have to mention where we were left at the end of Episode 8...

BOTH Buddy and Richie were arrested and are in Jail.

Jane was scolded for being indecisive about what she wants.

Olivia walked into Mr. Daniels house without her PL Jacket (cue aggressive vomiting noises).

Nancy was left to clean up the mess and looking broken. (Like the window. Symbolism!)

Cynthia probably feeling multiple conflicting internal feelings. (As she should.)

So here we go...

I would want the episode to start with a dark screen... the sound of a cell door closing and amongst several cells they pan over and inside one of them is Buddy and Richie. Not together, but separated...? Its like the saying "put them in a room alone together and let things sort itself out." I'd hope that its been a little while and Buddy has sobered up some but regardless, the two of them just sending scathing looks between eachother after maybe getting in a few actual hits against eachother. (Poor Dot)

Both of them showing signs of discomfort because they're still kids, IN JAIL. But out of the two of them, Richie is a little better at keeping his cool. After all, he's used to detention, fights and breaking rules. I know its not the same, but if anything... Id be willing to bet that in this situation, the other potential 'jail occupants' kinda look like him.. People from the 'wrong parts of town'. Kind recognizes kind. The other occupants hear Buddy's last name and start digging at him and his dad and Richie tells them to back off. Again, kind recognizes kind and they leave them alone. Buddy gives a halfhearted 'thanks' and Richie just shrugs.

Buddy would be pacing, no doubt muttering about how his dad was going to react about all this when he comes to get him. Richie is probably terrified at how his parents will react and coming from a European household.. Phew.. It ain't gonna be pretty. Richie would scoff, telling him to be quiet, that 'they wouldn't be here if Buddy hadn't been drunk and acting like an ass. Or if he had just come clean from the start."

"I didn't mean too. It just happened and.." Buddy's head would hang down, looking ashamed. Richie feels bad for him for just a second before Buddy finish with "I never wanted to hurt her, you know. I loved her. I still do."

That I could see would send Richie over an edge. He stands up and even with their height difference would level Buddy with a dead stare.

"That's. Not. Love. You don't let someone spread damning gossip around about someone you "love" and not clear it up because your worried about your own reputation. You don't take advantage of them and say you love them. Its not to be used as an excuse or reason why you think its okay to be an asshole." (Personal thoughts mixed in here.)

"What do you know about about it, Richie? You've never had your parents pressure you to be the best. And then to find out that what you are, what you thought you were, is only a fake image that wasn't even made by yourself. Jane was the only thing that was.. real to me. I mean.. really real."

"And instead of treating her like she deserves, even after you found out about the election and shit, you thought of just yourself and let her get buried." Richie scoffs and shakes his head. "Look Buddy, I may not have been born and raised on your side of town, I may not have been pushed to be the best because no one expects me to be; but we can both agree that Jane makes us want to be better. But if your dad is the one that's trying to mold your life in a way you don't want it to be, then maybe you need to take the wheel and go where his reputation hasn't reached and make your own."

Or something like that. Either way, I would want them to verbally have it out. And IF Buddy's dad comes to bail him out, because reputation and shit... Id want Buddy to look back at Richie in the cell and tell his dad that 'Richie wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me. Either we both go, or I don't at all." Buddy's dad sees that he doesn't budge and agrees. I like to hope that between Buddy and Richie, they aren't even, but it would be a damn good start.

Jane is going to do some repair work and I get the feeling that she will be one of a few people who will ask the question "You're dropping out of Rydell?" And potentially for a few people.

Nancy could get the urge to leave because of her fashion calling and the fact that the Pink Ladies are up in the air but is worried that because of her crush, she will lose sight of what she really wants to do and is tempted to just go. But instead of pulling a Frenchy, she stays.. I don't know how, but that's the feeling I get. (Like have your cake and eat it too.)

Olivia could think about leaving/dropping out to another school so she moves forward with Mr. Daniels (at his mentioning's or insistence) and to not 'jeopardize' his career, marry him but like in secret. Gil could hear word about this and HAULS ASS to find her and convinces her that she is worth more than that, that she is worth loving out loud and proud. Like He does. Something about the way Mr. Daniels acts around her now could make her feel uncomfortable and together, they go to McGee and get his predator ass fired. Done.

Cynthia would be torn about where she fits and after some agonizing, thinks she should leave and changes her mind when she gets her TBird jacket. And starts making things better by apologizing to Shy Guy because HE IS SWEET AND DESERVES AN APOLOGY!

Mrs. McGee could ask that to the Principle who is leaving because he got a different job opportunity and puts her in charge. Or Mr. Daniels because he also needs to go. (Im hopeful)

Over All...

I think Buddy will be the one to leave. Personally to me, it would make sense. Not because it would take him out of the whole Buddy/Jane/Richie triangle, though I would not be upset about that at all. (Richie is my boy and doesn't need to go, I will die on that hill). But from a realistic point of view... If I wanted to get out from my meddling fathers shadow, and I would after hearing everything he has done, I would say that leaving Rydell to go to another school to restart would be the way to go. Somewhere his father would have little to no influence over and he could start anew. It would also kinda go with Buddy's character since when the opportunity to fix things come up, he kinda detours and takes a road to avoid them and only comes clean when they fall all but at his feet and he's in a corner. (Frosty Palace.)

Episode 10.

Since I am unclear about the school timeline right now (like is it nearly thanksgiving for them as students? Is the year halfway done?) I would like to think that they have a fall fair or something. If my predictions are correct, Buddy will leave Rydell at the end of their first semester. But before they go, they gotta race.

Susan I think will race one of the Ladies, most likely Olivia because she looked MAD in both the trailer and pictures and Olivia would be the focal point of that anger.. Dot will be their flag girl because she supports Susan and the gangs will cheer for them as they race. Susan could lose because they need to bury their hatchet somehow. And with the Win, Olivia gets a car, and therefore the Pink Ladies get their own ride. Susan admits defeat, apologizes and like Buddy with Richie, isn't making them even, but it could be a place to start.

I still think Gil's gonna race, I almost say he needs to just for the classic victory (first) kiss between him and Olivia. (Fingers tightly crossed.)

But one thing I was saying when a friend of mine and I were in a debate was that there was talk about the title having two meanings. 'Racing For Pinks.'

Pinks is the Pink Ownership slip but it could also mean the Pink Ladies. Buddy/ Richie, Gil and Mr. Daniels (though I doubt it) and such. They could win the girl. And I gotta say both yes and no to this thought. One thing that I would want to be said, whether it be the TBirds, the Pink Ladies themselves or hell, why not both is that they can't be 'won'.

To be with a Pink Lady isn't part of some... game. You cant race and get a girl, I'm sorry but that to me just wouldn't be right. These girls are breaking norms and fighting the system, breaking stereotypical boundaries. Cynthia says that to have two people race for you is AMUSING. At the risk of sounding two faced, they aren't trophies to be won but.. they kinda are. But they cant be bought or traded.

No, the Pink Ladies are EARNED. Period.

The TBird and Pink Ladies alike EARN their jackets and reputation, so why shouldn't their affection (love, devotion, romance, relationship take your pick) be any different? You put in work, you get the girl. And so far, I think that some have. While others are still working things out.

We also haven't met the Scorpions, the rival gangs of the TBirds in OG Grease. Or Zuko and Kenickie for that matter. And if anyone reads my long posts, that's where the 'scenes' I think up could go here with Richie and Gil meeting them..

But if I follow my gut, I think that if Buddy leaves, he could go to a different school, start up the Scorpions because he's acting out against his dad and the beef between the Birds and Scorpions is pre-established for the future.

Regardless of how things go... JOIN ME IN HOPING FOR A SEASON TWO!

geto in the y2k au is the antithesis to geto in the toji bodyguard au!

takes place in the mid 2000s in NYC mainly! very trashy—think TMZ, perez hilton, mugshots, clubbing every night, night in jail stints.

when you meet geto, he's already a little jaded from the industry & fame. he has his own toxic relationship with being a famous rockstar and has accepted that he needs vices—drugs—to survive. but he's slowly unraveling and losing himself (and takes it out on your relationship).

you'd meet at a photoshoot & totally hit it off! it's a whirlwind and moves way too fast to be healthy, but neither of you are really making sound decisions. it's hot & heavy at first—both of you fall deep and hard. fucking before & after concerts, going on dates all around the world when you're in the same country, spending his birthday in a large rose-petal filled bathtub in a penthouse suite in tokyo, falling in love when he takes you to his small hometown. he also surprises you in paris with an engraved lock for you in the Love Bridge.

but geto can be callous and sharp-tongued while you're stubborn and like to push his buttons. a lot of petty arguments, a lot of explosive fights, and the tabloids fiend for it. they're everywhere not only because of your shared fame but because of all the drama.

amongst this, you and geto truly love each other. with you, he's able to be the person he used to be before he became famous: considerate, caring, selfless, a little more quiet and level-headed (more like geto before plasma vessel arc). but there's only cracks of his real self due to the craziness of tours, interviews, photoshoots, clubbing, drugs, paparazzi.

it just gets increasingly toxic and always ends with fucking no matter where you are in the world. and the reason you two continue to hurt each other is cause you always take the other back—it's never definite.

like i said earlier, geto is slowly unraveling throughout all of this. it fucks with him to see his relationship being picked apart and granted no privacy, to see how the world treats you differently just cause you're a woman, how much of a spectacle his life has become. it obviously affects his work and even his record label is close to cutting him, no matter how much money he makes them.

geto's breaking point would be haibara dying. this is the mid 2000s after all (think britney, paris, lindsey), so the media is ruthless. yuu is one of geto's closest friends in this au and he completely snaps in the aftermath of his death; dealing with the sudden loss is bad enough, but the tabloids are relentless in covering the story. like they're no longer being treated as humans, just the next segment in a developing story that slowly shocks the world.

you're not in the country when it happens so it doesn't reach you right away, but geto is being followed and harassed constantly. it takes a darker turn and he becomes completely unstable (sh, violence).

that's as far as i've thought of it tbh! i've had this au in mind since 2021 but never got to elaborate like this so thanks for the ask <3

Monsterverse!Ruby's outpost would be a facility situated near the location of the Mariana trench. Considering that Krakens in the Monsterverse would probably eat vegetation, meat, sealife and even the thermal nuclear energy that comes out of volcanic vents.

Her entire skin is also boiling hot to touch, probably a unique defence mechanism for Krakens.

It's also noted that there is a HUGE possibility that Kong's race feasted and hunted the Krakens for something from them or within them. Like maybe some magical properties or something.

This would be another reason why godzilla's race would go to war with the Kong's to protect the Krakens from facing near extinction.

It's also unclear what's beyond the thermal layer in the Mariana trench, where Ruby's own "lair" is.

Oh and what would Ruby's "Ultimate" form be? Burning Ruby or Freezing Ruby?

Also Kong also might not know what his people did to Ruby's race, only the war between Gojira's and Kong's race.

And again, let's hope nobody tries to use the orca on Ruby. It may have worked on Mothra but if were to be used on the kraken.... You can say goodbye to both of your life and afterlife because apparently Ruby goes into a frantic frenzied state.

Ruby has been theorised to be the most intelligent titan currently as she has been reported to try and communicate vocally.

Her first words was "Fish please!" And it melted Chelsea's heart at how cute she asked.

And I think we forgot about a godzilla/Zilla (1998) version of Ruby.

Sorry if this is very long, I like hyperfixating on stuff.

Oooooh! That's a neat idea though!

I can definitely see Kong's kind going after the krakens, maybe to skin them because their body is capable of being hard armor or something like that.

If she wasn't aware of it either, I could see Ruby being very curious of Kong. They're both very intelligent and Ruby might attempt a level of friendship with him. Kong would probably be more hesitant since the last 'Kraken' he dealt with was a real big jerkwad but he's able to at least recognize the one he dealt with isn't the same kind as Ruby's is.

What if Burning Ruby glows so intensely that it can literally blind an entire city or some poor unfortunate onlooking monster. It just straight up kills your retinas.

I feel like for the Orca it'd be more of a case that she recognizes it's not at all natural. Curiosity would bring her to listen to it but not really obey what's being said. She only listens to one alpha and that's Godzilla.

Oh man that is adorable. I can just imagine she's watching a giant shipment of fish being moved or whatever and instead of using sign language, she wants to attempt human speech. It's not all that good but it goes like, "F..f...fa...faa...fiii...fissh...fish. Pl...plll...ple..le...plea...please. Fish, please. Fish, please!"

Everyone is just completely floored when they heard the giant kraken mutter actual human words.

Hmmmm.

Maybe an octopus mutated as it consumed irradiated fish and the like before growing into the giant but shy Ruby. She's relatively harmless and tends to stay away from big cities, though she will get close sometimes if only because she's curious about all the lights and stuff. Was probably mistaken for eating a lot of sea life near a costal area before it's revealed to be another monster as the culprit. Otherwise she tends to stay by herself or hovering around Monster Island.

My opinions on the GMMTV 2023 lineup!!! this is gonna be a long one :')

My initial thought was: lawd so many slapstick comedies, so few intriguing storylines.

At first I was thinking that GMMTV's business strategy seems to be non-existent; I would've expected them to see the success of KinnPorsche and Be On Cloud (regardless of what you think of the company, there's no denying the financial results they've managed with the success of KP) and aim for that direction. HOWEVER... I realise that I actually have no idea how GMMTV is perceived domestically, so my perspective is wildly biased as an international fan with no access to Thai sources and communities. I didn't watch other than the BL trailers because I know I'm not gonna watch the others anyway. But those seemed to be largely.... not my cup of tea.

So my thoughts on individual trailers (I haven't watched all of them, just the ones where the involved actors interested me)...

Hidden Agenda: Is this 2gether 3.0? Doesn't seem to have too much of a deeper storyline driving it, so I'm probably not gonna be watching; feels like I've seen it 100 times before already.

Last Twilight: So.. the story is a young guy from a somewhat shady background needs to get a job that pays well, decides to take the gig of caretaker of a man who got disabled in an accident. The disabled man chooses the delinquent even though the latter isn't really qualified, but the disabled man enjoys that the caretaker doesn't pity him for being disabled. They develop a close bond with one another.

Dangerous Romance: pls someone's gotta tell GMMTV to reconsider the English titles for their shows. Imagine going like "hi my favorite show is Dangerous Romance" with your whole chest 😭 Nah fam.

However, this looks fairly interesting. I'm going to pretend it's not set in a High School and that it means they're like babies, because I like Chimon and I am so excited for Perth. He is such a good actor, so I'm happy they gave him a show that seems to have more of a storyline (considering GMMTV). It looks like they have pretty good chemistry too. But also, the scene where they're fighting in the rain at the end reminded me of the OG mock trailer for 2gether which amused me heheh. Going to be excited to see the real trailer later to see if it stays with the same mood.

A Boss and a Babe: the way I cringed thru this entire thing. Looks super slapstick and not my cup of tea. Yikes.

Cooking Crush: ..... OFFGUN????? I have been blessed. Gun could make a 10 episode show of him staring into a wall and I would still be watching it religiously. I will be watching because it's OffGun and usually their chemistry makes everything worthwhile, and also I saw someone saying Gun himself had requested to do a RomCom with Off and I choose to believe that because that is very wholesome, 10/10.

Only Friends: ok I've mentally been calling this OnlyFriends (as in OnlyFans) and honestly isn't that lowkey accurate? The trailer for this flips my pancakes, waters my crops and hydrates my skin. It looks incredibly messy and the director said it's "Britney Spears toxic level" so sign me upppp. Some of the sets look like the same as YinWar used for their Concert trailer (the kitchen where Khaotung and Neo argues and the bathroom where First and Khao cuts each other's hair) and the fact that it isn't an actual show was my villain origin story, so I'm just gonna. Mentally insert YinWar in this show and live my best life.

I'm seeing people saying that some are complaining that it looks toxic and they're mad about it, etc etc but... I mean... this is what I was expecting to see more of, and I'm honestly kind of curious to see just how spicy GMMTV will dare to be. I'm not expecting a literary masterpiece storytelling wise, but the characters have potential to carry a good story anyways.

Our Skyy 2: YESSSS EARTHMIX MY INCREDIBLY MARRIED BABIES. Can't believe this is the only thing they've got lined up for next year, but I guess they're too busy taking care of their 64 cats which is fair.

Will be watching the EarthMix, FirstKhaotung and PondPhuwin episodes, I think!!!

ok last thought: did someone kidnap Neo's grandma and hold her hostage for a ransom, what bills does he gotta pay to have to be in literally every show 😂 poor boi can't have had much time to sleep (and yet not a single one where he's paired with Louis, the AUDACITY)

TL;DR: I'm excited for Only Friends and Dangerous Romance, and will watch Cooking Crush because of OffGun only. Also, I'm excited for Never Let Me Go and Moonlight Chicken from the 2022 lineup so hopefully those two will air soon as well!!

i see you have an opla oc as well…? tell me anything you wanna share abt Cora pls!!

Yessss, I do!!! My darling Cora~ There’s SO much I could say about her but I don't know your level of manga knowledge and I don't wanna spoil too much (please read her fic, I'm begging, it's not a long read), so... Have 10 mostly spoiler-free facts and fun facts!

1. Cora's full name is Akaito Coraline (pronounced Korahleen like in French for manga trivia reasons) and she comes from a long line of very famous tailors

2. Cora and Sanji were childhood friends and pretty much immediately become very close again when they reunite at Baratie. You really can't say who fell first and who fell harder, they are both down bad and being stupid about it. It's the same but also very different for Zoro and Cora, except they are being even more stupid about it. Like, I'm pretty sure they don't even know they're in love and it'll take years for them to act on it. And then we have Zoro and Sanji being Zoro and Sanji. Like, are you flirting or fighting? (Looking at you, plate scene...) These three, I swear...

3. Cora's main weapon is a rapier and she can use a large pair of scissors as a parrying dagger if necessary, but she prefers just not fighting at all or tricking her opponents. She's not too strong of a fighter, but I always like to say that, ignoring all personal relationships, if her and Zoro fought, the winner would probably be decided by luck within the first few seconds, simply because it's a rapier vs a katana. Either Cora stabs Zoro straight away and wins or Zoro slices Cora straight away and wins, since they both have no real way of dodging each other’s fighting style. Similarly, she could potentially beat Luffy in one stab because of her longer range. But if she has to go longer than a minute or so against either of them, she probably loses because they end up disarming her. Speaking of losing, she loses against Sanji. That's just it. If they even fought at all, he would probably dodge the first stab and the next second he kicks her rapier out of her hand. Then she'd have to try and strangle him with his necktie but that takes time and every second counts against Sanji, so... Yeah, she loses. I'd say she's probably rank 4 among the Straw Hats fighting-wise, quickly followed by Nami and then Usopp is just, well, poor Usopp. For now...

4. She does the crew's laundry because she doesn't trust anyone else with the laundry. Like, she took one look at those guys and went "nope, you’re not touching my clothes, nuh-uh". And she was right, the others have no clue what they're doing, except maybe Nami and Sanji, but Cora has very special fabrics and opinions, so... She does the laundry, no bickering necessary

5. Very much an Acts of Service kind of person in that her first instinct when she likes someone platonically or otherwise is to go "let me make some clothes for you OwO". If she sees one loose thread on your shirt or something, or a button threatening to fall off or a small hole or tear or anything, she's right there like "Want me to fix it for you??? Please, I love you."

6. Will wear heels anywhere anytime. If she can't wear heels, she'll go for platforms. Generally, it's fashion over function with her, even though she usually finds a way to combine the two. For example, all her skirts AND dresses have pockets and she tries her very hardest to also keep that rule in her designs. If it's not 100% snug to the body, it will have pockets. Otherwise, she'll make sure you get a matching bag/purse.

7. She definitely judges people by their fashion choices. If you're a villain and you're up against her, the first thing she'll do is insult your outfit and then turn your bad fashion choices against you by using your clothes as a weapon. Anything is a bad fashion choice when up against Cora and her devil fruit.

8. Speaking of devil fruits, hers is the Chiku Chiku no Mi or Sew Sew Fruit which allows her mastery over essentially all of the steps and items in the clothesmaking process. Not too practical for full-on battle because you can't concentrate on thin thread and complicated seams while fighting, but hella versatile in everyday life AND when fucking with people (take the double entdendre or leave it, I didn’t intend for it but... it's true-)

9. Traumatized as hell (I won't say from what, read the fic if you want a hint) but the Straw Hats are her emotional support idiots

10. Scared of touch but also chronically touch-starved. Once it settles into her brain that you are safe to touch and, most importantly, be touching her, she absolutely will become a cuddle bug. Remember how generally touchy the Straw Hats are with each other? She'll get there one day, give her maybe one more season or two

Aaand, to top it all off, have a bonus fun fact about her family name:

"Akaito" is derived from the Japanese "akai ito" which means "red thread" and refers to the red string of fate which binds lovers. Keep that in mind, it'll become important later in the story ;)

Your detailed content about Skug getting into a relationship with Cassandra Pharos and finally being with someone who isn't an abusive narcissistic codependent psycho who murders people is very very wholesome and makes me feel a warm fuzzy feel, even though I'm not usually remotely interested in shipping-type stuff. Tell me more about that pls

Okay so

First off, Skug and Cassie have a History. They've known each other since before he met Wifey. They're roughly the same age, give or take like fifty years, and they're both from wealthy families, so they moved in the same social circle in 1600s Dublin. He was a very eligible bachelor, and she was a very lovely young lady, so at one point she was very much a potential future Mrs Captain Pleasant.

In another universe, the stars align and Skug is already married by the time he gets the injury that leads him to wifey - he wakes up to Cassie at his bedside and never really looks twice at the young healer quietly doing her job in the background. But in this universe, the stars didn't align, and they just kept missing each other. Skug was on-again-off-again with China, and when he was single Cassie was entertaining another suitor, and then he meets Wifey and it just. Never quite worked out for them.

They are, however, friends, as much as a young lady was able to be friends with a gentleman back then. They enjoy one another's company. He is her One That Got Away, and he knows that, had things worked out differently, he probably would've been very happy with her. When they part, it's on good terms.

So Skug gets married and settles down, and she does the opposite; she travels the world.

They don't see that much of each other for the next century. Maybe once or twice, they happen to run into one another in various locations around the world, and manage to make time to quickly catch up. But they're not Involved in each other's lives anymore.

She does have a few visions of him, though. She knows he'll survive this battle, glimpses him taking an injury in that one. Nothing too major, up until he dies. She's halfway around the world and powerless to help him, but she feels him die. She sees it in a nightmare and when she wakes she just knows it was real, knows it in her bones. That one, she never forgets, and she's still easily upset by visions of Skug dying in canon - her hands shake for a good while after she sees Darky take him apart.

She hears later that he's come back to life, and she writes to him. Between the resurrection and the end of the Vile years, she doesn't get a response. He's in a really dark place, and keeping up with old friends has stopped mattering in favour of revenge, revenge, revenge. After the Vile years, he does write back to her, but with the war wrapping up he's trying to get Serpine taken out before he can sign the Truce, so they don't actually see each other until the war is over.

They're reintroduced circa the 1950s/1960s, when Finbar is a teenager and needs a Sensitive mentor. He finds his way to Cassie, and she ends up back in Skug's life through him. They've both changed a lot. He's now contracting for the Sanctuary, and she opposes the Sanctuary on a fundamental level. They're both a bit broken, a bit fragile.

For a long time, they're sort of. Just barely in each other's orbit. She lives her life and he lives his, but she'll contact him whenever she has a vision he might find useful, and every couple years just to see how he's doing. He introduces her to Gordon. She has offered him Sensitive therapy, and he's politely but firmly declined. He's pulled strings a few times to get her off with a slap on the wrist, during her anti-establishment activist phase. They're not Close, but they're involved with each other.

It starts to get romo after Dark Days and into Mortal Coil. Skug is struggling, badly. His year of torture at the hands of the Faceless Ones has reawoken Lord Vile, and Wreath wants to make Valkyrie the new Death Bringer, and it's all just a bit too much. He cracked in that other dimension, and now he's fighting just to not fall apart. He's alright during the "day", mostly - as in, the time he spends with Val, working - but when he takes her home to sleep in her own bed and has hours of being alone with his thoughts stretched out in front of him, he starts to struggle to keep his grip on reality. He'll often spend hours just mindlessly driving, to try and give himself something, anything, to focus on.

One night, his mindless drive takes him to her cottage, and he ends up on her doorstep. She's already dressed for bed when he knocks, and when she asks him what he needs, he doesn't even know. Skug has never had the opportunity to heal from any of his trauma. The man is an emotional open wound. His instincts - shut down, repress, protect yourself, keep moving - are at war with what he badly wants - seek comfort, feel safe, be understood. This is the kind of support he used to get from his wife, and it's been a long time since he needed it this badly.

Cassie, to her credit, rises to this challenge admirably. She brings him inside, sits him down, coaxes two years' worth of agony and terror and despair out of him in awkward, disjointed fragments, because he doesn't even have the terminology for some of the shit he's feeling. She doesn't blame him, or tell him he deserved it, or gaslight him - which is what he's grown used to getting from everyone around him about Serpine since he died in the first place. She listens, and she comforts him, and when he's exhausted himself telling her everything he remembers, she makes up her couch for him to sleep on, because he's in no state to be driving.

After this, something breaks between them. She's found a shortcut through some of the walls he put up. They start to get closer.

And like, this is all happening right in front of Val. It's not like he ever hides it from her. They'll stop for her to have a lunch break, and he'll often step away to take a phone call - that's Cassie calling to ask how his day is going. When Val stays over, she'll often hear him talking quietly to someone in the other room while she's falling asleep - Cassie again. He'll sometimes ask her to recommend somewhere that does nice Chinese takeout, or something - because after he drops her home, he'll pick up food for Cassie and head over there to spend time with her. Val just...doesn't notice. Because it's not about her.

So she misses that Skug brightens up as soon as visiting Cassie is mentioned. She misses that Cassie calls him pet names, when she doesn't do that with anyone else. She misses that sometimes when he has Cassie on speaker, she says something that's. Clearly flirting, or has to be warned not to say whatever she was about to say.

When Val leaves for America, Skug doesn't handle it well. His house is suddenly very quiet and very empty, his life is suddenly very lonely, his work is suddenly a lot less enjoyable without his partner. He starts avoiding the place, without really realising it. Cassie's hobbit house is comfy and lived-in and welcoming, where everything about his own place that's those things just reminds him of Val. She's quite happy to have the company, and he knows where the spare key is kept - he can come and go as he pleases.

But. He's been pretty careful about their...whatever this is. He lost Wifey because she was used to get to him. Vengeous and Serpine both tried the same shit with Val. Cassie is a civilian - he's not putting her in danger if he can help it. It's not common knowledge that there is a thing between them, and he likes it that way.

She survives the Night of Knives by pure luck. He's not supposed to be there that night, they don't have plans. But she's in a thirsty kind of mood, and his facade has had some recent upgrades she wants to test out, so she bootycalls him. Skug is an old soldier; he wakes up if a butterfly sneezes in Siberia, so he hears the bathroom window slide open, hears the faint creak of the dodgy floorboard in the hall. And a would-be assassin who's expecting a lone female noncombatant is no match for a trained special forces fighter with the element of surprise.

Cassie becomes very anxious after this though. She's very aware that she just had a very narrow brush with death. If he hadn't been there she would have been killed. She jumps at small noises and calls him home from work more than once thinking there's someone in the house. It's upsetting and it makes life difficult. So at that point, the sensible thing to do is make him a permanent fixture; she asks him to move in. And Val still hasn't come back, so he does.

He still has his own place by the time she returns from America, but. For all intents and purposes he lives at Cassie's. He doesn't spend a lot of time at his own house anymore.

The Mutants

synopsis - Alex got attacked by her family before even getting out of the house. Alex and Drake aren’t immune right now but they get immune as in half and half because they got attacked and the rest didn’t but the rest are immune because they hang out with Alex and Drake. They somehow found a way to beat the infection because their blood was mutated and the others are safe because they're with Alex and Drake. The others figure out Drake’s immune, but they don’t know about Alex because she got infected and didn't tell anybody. Drake found out that Alex is a mutant because he saw the same scratches that he had on his chest and jaw on Alex’s arm.

genre - written parts are in two 1st person povs, one sided love , and angst maybe, maybe like a zombie mutation

Part 2:

Word count: 1446

Drake 1st person POV: I was awake the entire night. Some of my closest friends are aware that I struggle to fall asleep at night due to my insomnia. Since I decided to participate in athletics and had a sprints practice at six in the morning, I had to leave early for school. After athletics, I spent the rest of the morning in class working through a pointless study guide with all of my friends. We were among the class's brightest students. Others especially in comparison to Hetvi, Andy, and Amaya. With the exception of Isa, Alex, and Gaya, who excelled in L.A. compared to other subjects. We weren't as intelligent as the other kids, but that doesn't mean we were bad students or scholars in general. Well, that's exaggerated since we all had grade books with over 94s. But none of us had Andrew's intelligence. He was both intelligent and fit. When I say smart, I truly mean AP-level smart. Not to me or my friends, but to approximately half of the grade 11, he was also attractive. He was thought to be either bisexual or gay. Furthermore, he was liked by some guys, although he was never aware of it because he wasn't paying close attention.

Alex 1 person POV:

Along with my friends Drake, Molly, Gaya, Amber, and Isa, we were in math. Me and Gaya weren't amazing at math, we excelled in L.A, having the highest score in our grade. Drake as usual was complaining how the guide was stupid and useless and how he didn’t need it because he had the highest score in math. When the fire alarm went off, there were red lights flashing everywhere and a loud blaring noise. It made my head hurt, but I knew we had to leave. So, barely being able to focus, I started running toward my class. The teachers did their best to maintain the student's composure and a line, but eventually the opposite happened. In a panic, everyone took off running i took a turn in a different hallway after being separated from my class. I turned and looked over and glanced at Drake, then I looked behind him and saw that all the other were here too.

Drake 1st person POV:

I was contemplating how useless the quiz and study guide were when an alarm went off and everyone started running for the exits. After a while, Alex stopped running and looked around. I had been running after her when I first noticed her. She glanced at me first before turning to face me. I questioned what she was looking at. When I turned around, I spotted all of my friends.

Alex and Drake 3rd person POV:

Before they started to run, Alex and Drake gave each other one last glance. They had no idea where they were going, but they managed to get there. What would there be, you might be curious. They both dreaded spending time in the science lab. You may once again wonder why they dreaded taking that class. It's because their class was full of snobbish, dimwitted, and annoying popular kids, according to them. “We need to hide because there might be a dangerous person in the building”, Alex and Drake both said at the same time. Alex and Drake froze in fear. Which was peculiar considering that they were the most collected of all the friend groups. All of them had phones, but none of them ever used them. They feared too much, Drake pulled his phone from his pocket and dialed 911. Told the police there was a problem at the school in a low, terrified voice. The day before, he failed to charge his phone. Unexpectedly, the phone died. Molly got up and locked all the doors after the phone call ended. When a pipe burst, gas began to leak out into the room as they were waiting in silence. Gaya noticed the gas and yelled loudly, "Guys." Isa said in a soft voice, "Stop being loud Gaya, we're going to get found." “This is a bigger problem than a person, I think.” said Amber. “What!” Drake exclaimed. Racheal responded by pointing and said, "Look." Drake was puzzled at the gas when he realized what she was pointing at. He realized that this particular color gas was safe in science class. He then assured them that the color gas was safe.

Drake 1st person pov:

We were found by the police, who then returned us to the rest of the class. The school gave us the day off and sent us home after the incident. I became aware of the numerous scars I had on my legs as I changed into my pajamas. The largest was caused by a glass that unintentionally dropped on my right leg when I was around 6 or 7. On my upper thigh, a razor blade caused the other cuts. I'm not even sure why I produced them; perhaps it was because I despised my life or was sick of standing out. My friend were the only thing keeping me from dying. More than life itself, I adore them. I require them. I put my pajamas on and began going through my phone.

Later, I talked to my friends on the phone. Both Molly and Alex show agitation. They were savoring their time to themselves. “Your parents made a mistake buying the latest phone for you,” Alex and Molly said one after the other. Since I found the remark offensive and the rest of my friends were laughing, I retorted by saying, "Hey you guys, just jealous that I got the new Samsung phone and you guys didn't." No, they were just irritated by your call. Nevertheless, why did you call us?” Isa enquired. "Didn't y'all hear the news?" "The entire country is under lockdown for a month?" I asked. “I did, as well as the fact that we have a month off from school,” added Amber, “I'll be bored to death.” “Only you’ll do that. Apart from athletics and math, Alex and I loathe school.” I said.

The true reason Alex and I liked athletics so much was that we were both quite skilled in them. We consistently made the winning team. Boys' and girls' sports weren't particularly separated at our school. We engaged in similar sports. When I played volleyball, I was a spiker. The setter would be her. When we were together, we were inseparable. If you're curious about the sports we participated in, we always played Basketball, Volleyball, Sprints, Wrestling, and Soccer. Occasionally, we would also participate in Baseball, Cross-Country, and Track and Field. For fun, we also played American football. Being the child of Asian parents, I did and was made to do a lot of things growing up. I participated in gymnastics, dancing, singing, swimming, badminton, boxing, fencing and karate, where I currently have a triple degree black belt. Out of all of them, karate, dancing, singing, swimming, fencing and boxing are the ones I genuinely like. I enjoyed boxing because it allowed me to let out my frustration through fists. I now exercise instead of boxing, either by running or playing sports.

Day 1-2:

Everything was going as it should, aside from the confusing school fact brought on by COVID-19. I anticipated having to attend zooms and receiving calls from my teachers, but neither of those things happened.

Day 3-5:

My parents and sister also were ill at the same time and gradually got worse over the course of three days; I have no idea what happened to them. I have no idea why, but during the course of the five days, neither my friend nor I sent each other a single text message, which was unusual considering that we frequently spammed each other anytime we had free time.

Days 6-7:

Neither my parents nor my sister improved; in fact, they worsened. I was quite perplexed since I thought my entire family would heal because they were all sturdy, but they didn't. No one responded when I tried to text my friend. I'm not even sure why I didn't call them; perhaps I was in a panic at my family's dilemma, or perhaps I was just being stupid. Tomorrow, I intended to contact my friends.

Day 8:

I gave everyone in my friend group another call, something I hadn't done in days. “What!” Alex enquired. I quickly replied in a frightened voice, "My entire family was sick—I mean extremely sick—to the point that they only looked dead, but now that it's over, they are all dead." The rest of the group murmured, "Mine too," one after another.
