i want so desperately for that last pearl to be of use somehow in the future. just cuz cerberus ate it, doesn't mean it's gone forever. how interesting would it be if the pearl ends up in hades' palace and nico finds it? a great chance to use it would be during the sword of hades debacle, prompting hades to finally step in and solve the problems between nico and persephone because he can't have his son running to his brother for help. and in the meantime it could help nico talk to percy, one step closer to becoming friends again.

or maybe it could end up in the styx, since that's the river where lost hopes go, wishes that never came true. which is what percy's wish for the pearl is, something that never came true. imagine luke using it to get out of the styx when he takes that dip for kronos? it would be another chink in his armor towards the gods, showing him how the gods have helped him and the titans have only hurt him, letting him fight kronos' control and ultimately, make the choice to honor his promise to annabeth.

the possibilities are endless and i so hope they do something with this.

It's 1 in the morning and for whatever reason I am imagining the servants of Hades (i.e. Charon, the Furies, ect) unionizing.

#hell even Hermes can join #they all go on strike but for very different demands #Charon wants to be paid more. The Furies just want to feel appreciated. Hermes is here cause he loves the drama.#they somehow rope Thanatos and Melinoe into joining their cause. Leaving Hades with a fuck ton more work to do #Hades is frustrated and overwhelmed. So I was re-watching the show and I had a thought about the dynamic between Zeus's kids. Ignore if you've answered this before, but how do her siblings feel about Persephone?

I kinda feel like there are parallels to Sally trying to keep Percy away from Olympian drama and Demeter trying to keep Persephone away from Olympian drama, only for both to fail badly. Not to mention that Persephone probably, for a brief period, turned into the kid Zeus paid attention to most, mostly because of how Demeter protested her marriage. I do have the HC that Persephone and Hermes get along the most, due to Hermes being the sibling to visit the Underworld the most, but what do you think? Hades might be a useful ally in a rebellion.

I haven't really thought much about Persephone's dynamic with everyone else🤔

However, I will touch on my thoughts on her relationship with Demeter and Apollo (in the RRverse) because those are the ones I know right off the top of my head.

With Demeter, I don't like the helicopter parent stereotype attributed to her. Contrary to the media's beliefs, Demeter's panic is very sound considering her daughter was. ya know. kidnapped.

it was an arranged marriage! yeah yeah it's still kidnapping, and Persephone screamed for help. it's all there in the Hymn to Demeter.

because of this, Demeter and Persephone had a very loving mother-daughter relationship imo. Demeter also wasn't against Persephone marrying, btw. In the Orphic tradition, Demeter prophesizes that Persephone would marry Apollo, though that never came to pass obviously (I have a silly take on this in a bit sit tight).

Now Apollo :D the fun starts here.

SO. PERSEPHONE'S PLAYMATES WERE ATHENA AND ARTEMIS. Additionally, as mentioned previously, Demeter was like "oh yeah Persephone's gonna marry Apollo one day".

SO I PRESENT-

Apollo & Persephone are BFFs, and Demeter is the mom who sees her daughter has a boy friend and starts shipping them XD

Persephone: MOM WE'RE JUST FRIENDS

Demeter: You look so cute together!

Persephone: MOM YOU'RE SO EMBARRESSING hides face

also! there's another myth that adds on to this headcanon of mine :D

People think Demeter causes winter. She does not - she just stops the plant growth.

Apollo lets winter happen when he takes his vacations to Hyperborea :D

SO I PROPOSE-

Apollo aligned his vacations during the time Persephone is in the Underworld because fuck it if he can't hang with his BFF during this time of year might as well do his vacation instead so he has more time during the spring/summer months with her then!

BACK TO DEMETER BEING A SHIPPER-

Remember this scene in The Last Olympian?

The older lady harrumphed. "I warned you, daughter. This scoundrel Hades is no good. You could've married the god of doctors or the god of lawyers, but noooo. You had to eat the pomegranate."

Apollo is the god of healing. He also hold dominion over law, and played defense attorney for Orestes.

...DEMETER STILL SHIPS PERSEPOLLO TO THIS DAY XD

she presents it to Persephone like she has two options but they're the same person LMAO

I also wanna talk about the whole 'Demeter forbid Apollo from going near her kids' thing too! Because with the context of this^, it makes you wonder why.

...but then you realize that maybe it was because of the above she forbid him from her kids - or more specifically, she forbid him because he didn't marry Persephone XD

So she ships them. But also she's salty she didn't get her favorite nephew for a son-in-law to marry her favorite daughter and therefore banned him from her kids.

Seems counter-productive, but you do you Demeter lmao XD

(and yes, Hades would be a useful ally in a rebellion...hehehehe)

ok so bianca lives au!

the stress of being inside talos causes bianca to accidentally shadow travel (which explains the lack of a body)

talos is defeated, just to clarify

the quest continues on, zoe dies, and percy gets back to camp and tells nico bianca is dead

nico in this version denies it because he can feel that she isn't, but the rest of that interaction follows canon

so meanwhile bianca is in the underworld and when she figures out how to control her shadow travel she gets back to camp the day after nico leaves

unfortunately she can't do much to help find him, but she does search while also rejoining the hunters

eventually she realizes he's in the underworld, but minos leads him away before she can get there

after that it's a game of cat and mouse

nico has been convinced that he's wrong and she's dead because that serves minos' goals better

so she tries to find them, minos keeps moving away, this goes throughout the labyrinth

at the same time annabeth, percy, grover, and tyson are on their quest and have been told to keep an eye out

they see nico at the ranch and try to tell him, but he refuses to listen

after percy kills geryon, annabeth manages to send an iris message

bianca shows up, there's the reunion/explanation, nico hates percy less, and since now he has a whole reason to not trust minos, he sends minos away.

nico doesn't want to go back to camp atm, so he stays at the ranch and bianca sticks around too

then the quest continues, calypso's island happens, annabeth and percy go back in with rachel's help, etc.

bianca shows up and helps them in daedalus' workshop (nico didn't have enough control to properly return minos to the underworld so he ended up sticking with some chthonic kids from the ta)

they escape, go to camp, where nico and that immortal ares kid who's name i don't remember join them, as do the hunters

so castor doesn't die

lee still does because reasons

tlo goes more or less the same except more powerful demigods = less deaths

also hades favors bianca so she stays in the underworld freeing up nico to assist the others

plus bianca and hades, demeter, and persephone show up earlier

alabaster will probably work his way into this b/c i love him

and he is a chthonic kid so maybe...

so there you have it! bianca di angelo lives. she's also scary.
