i thought about this forever its so funny. listen my buddies kin assigned me nepeta and i was like im NOT im NOT...

i had to think about this for a long time. i think the funniest thing about me is that honestly im really impartial about ships and like stories focusing on friendship more. like, complex friendships about buddies who fight and reunite or have slightly unhealthy relationships... thats really good stuff.

im so unaffected by cannon my favorite ships in homestuck would be entirely based on who makes content i like about them. ill read an essay and be like ok ill smoke that thats cool. fancontent wise i really like arasol<3 and <>, and karkat <> with any of his besties(sollux, kanaya, gamzee, rezi, dave.) solkat and davekat <3 are fine. that one bitch with the 12 page erikar essay makes me be like 'yeah im ok with this interpretation of the characters.' i dont really have an otp ever

i wish more was done with terezi dave and karkats friendship. i want to see them play together. honestly, karkats and terezis friendship is something i want to see way more of, because he respects her a lot and i think karkats like. whole goofy existence is really enjoyed by terezi. but those two need to define their friendship as not existing in a quadrant and instead being of mutual respect and appreciation. also dave and terezis friendship is literally sooooooooo fire. amazing even

i like the canon ships fine. rosemary, the meowrails, calliope and roxy, but i wish that vrirezi's <3< aspect was like more widely discussed. vriezi is my dirkjake if you will and i hate when it appears in the background of fics without that trainwreck of girl best friends being acknowledged as being like a dumpster fire for both girls but also magical. on that note dirkjake and dirkjohn are fine. l

i used to adore gamkat <> but ive fallen out of love with it due to how it puts too much pressure on the kat and gamzee's shown not really helping kat down from panic attacks in the comic. just want 2 see kat happy. i like it when its written healthy and cute though. gamkat <3 is my least favorite ship ever probably. it makes me barf.

-brendan x may- if there was ever implied romance between the player and rival in a pokemon game, it’s these two. their interactions in oras are gold. brendan’s blushing and stuttering when asking may to go to the space center with him was just <3333

Eric/Donna or Jackie/Hyde? I know this is shocking given my url haha. I wrote a whole separate post, but basically, JH has been one of my biggest otps and part of my blueprint since I was 13. And when I put this username, they were still my #1 otp. I still have love for them but due to my view on both characters changing and me preferring Eric and Donna as characters over them, I choose E/D. I do love E/D as a ship tho, so don't get it twisted haha. There's just something so pure and sweet about falling in love with your best friend. Especially after knowing them for a long ass time.

Jenna/Connor or Jenna/KC? I couldn't really GET the Kenna hype tbh. Even when I did start liking KC after more watches, him and Jenna just aren't meant to be imo. They're just very unhealthy.

Jonnor is literally the purest ship ever. I love Connor sm and he treats Jenna like a damn queen. I lov how Jenna EMBRACES Connor's 'nerdiness' (i.e. "you can talk nerdy to me any time."). As far as I'm concerned, in every world, they're now married with two children.

Emma or Manny?

Manny's been my bitch since day one. Always loved her, always will. She's not perfect, but she grows and matures.

Emma really irritates me at times ngl haha. Maybe that'll change on a rewatch but ehhh. S3, S7-S8 (?) are like the only times Emma never annoyed me in my last watch. I do love her though and I like the idea of her being single, thriving, and just being the fun aunt to Janny's kids.

Caroline or Elena?

I don't hate Caroline anymore, but it's way she gets so much slack from the writers and ever parts of the fandom that annoy me. Like the fact that most of the time she gets praised for things Elena is shat on (sometimes rightfully tho haha).

Elena, for all her flaws, isn't the worst human being imo. I actually feel more bad for her than hate her. She still pisses me off at times, but I don't think she's this irredeemable monster.

Last note, but Elena Gilbert does not owe Stefan Salvatore and Damon Salvatore a goddamn thing and I will forever die on that hill.

Barney or Marshall?

I love them both SO MUCH. I wanted to pick Barney because he just makes me laugh, but I have a thing for wholesome men. And Marshall is one of them. I really like his relationship with Lily. Despite their issues, they're really adorable. Honestly I'll go far as to say they're my Stelena.

Obviously fanfic is not the best measure of how people are engaging with something and is mostly a measure of how the soft sad wet freaks of tumblr are engaging with something. But it does suck that if I go looking for normie opinions it’s all wow alicent is a bitch also btw rhaenyra daemon otp and if I go looking for soft sad wet freak opinions it’s all any one else think aemond is Kinda hot and it would be so interesting and cool if Luke didn’t die and they were best friends forever and it averted the war. OMG I haven't updated you on irl Ellie in fucking forever. I've almost officially moved in, my siblings are with my aunt, and you'd never guess but my best friend, or who was my best friend, was in fact in love with me and was jealous. Anyway back to the main point irl Ellie has been so gentle with me and she's helping me in any that she can. The other day (more like a few weeks ago) I was messing around, not really, but I was joking saying I'd die to be a pretty housewife and guess what this bitch said? "My girl deserves anything she wants" WHAT THE FUCK I AM DYING BEVAUSE SHE SO HDBSBEHEHWJ. She then continued to tell me I could do that if I wanted to because she would be able to support us but I honestly don't want to do that to her, so we compromised and I found an online job, working for the worldwide hotline (anonymous reports and sewercidle talks and ideations is what they have me on rn). I had a really tough call and I was crying so hard and she just held me and told me I couldn't have stopped it no matter how hard I tried, it's so difficult to be otp with people when they do end up doing it, but I want to help people and the people I've successfully helped mean a lot to me, and the ones I haven't make me want to do better and try harder. I talked to a little girl, she said she was 14 and her mom was struggling. I gave her tips and she called back a few days later telling me that my tips were working and helping her mom improve. Irl ellie is making me a better person without trying and I adore her for that.

6. When did they realize they loved each other?

Eddie realized he was in love with Billy after making him laugh with a stupid joke. It’s a mix of Eddie loving entertaining and getting the exact reaction he wanted out of Billy, knowing he can make Billy look and sound like that when few people can, how beautiful he thinks Billy is when he’s genuinely smiling and laughing, and how he kinda wants to do this forever.

Billy realized he was in love with Eddie while Eddie was in the middle of ranting about something nerdy, getting all fired up and gesticulating dramatically about something Billy doesn’t give a shit about, but he’s still listening carefully because he loves watching Eddie move around, listening to him run his mouth non-stop, how passionate he gets about the things he loves, and those are all things that tend to annoy the shit out of Billy with anyone else, so maybe the explanation is simply that he’s in love with the guy.

More under the cut because I have Can't Shut Up About Those Two disease.

I like to think that Eddie’s the first one who realized he was in love with Billy, whether they’re together or not at the time, so he’s a few steps ahead when it comes to accepting it and working up the courage to say it.

I also feel like he just Knows Billy loves him back, at some point. Obviously Billy doesn’t say anything, but it’s in the way he touches and looks at Eddie, it’s the small things he does for him, it’s the fact that Billy wouldn’t do a lot of things including allowing himself to be in a relationship with a man if he wasn’t head over heels for Eddie.

I don’t think there’s a “oh” moment for Eddie where he realizes Billy loves him, it’s gradual, a steady thing he knows deep inside.

As for when Billy realizes Eddie is in love with him… Well, Eddie has the tendency to say out loud whatever goes through his head when he’s getting a bit emotional or a lot into something, so. I think he’s very likely to just drop the L word out of nowhere. Like maybe they’re just chilling in Eddie’s bedroom and the light coming through the window hits Billy’s face just right and he’s all frowny and bitching about something but Eddie isn’t listening because he’s busy staring at the freckles on Billy’s face so he just. Says it.

Basically…

Billy: I need to take a loud shit, put some music on Eddie: I’m like, so in love with you

Or something like that. So that’s when Billy *truly* realizes his idiot boyfriend loves him too, because he had a feeling, you know, Eddie kinda shows him every day, but hearing it is what truly cements it, even if Eddie really has the worst timing—then again, a very ill-timed love confession is just so Eddie, Billy can’t really be too mad about it.

39. What other couple would your otp get along with the best?

If we’re going with canon couples… I think Max and Lucas, eventually, but that’s only because there are no other canon couples they’d have any reason to spend time with, much less get along with.

Like, I’m sorry, but I don’t see Eddie or Billy ever getting along with Nancy, so that’s a no for Nancy/Jonathan. I don’t think Eddie is a big fan of Mike, and Billy would definitely have a soft spot for El, but “she needs to dump the Wheeler Rat”. Eddie definitely adores Dustin, but Billy can only stand very, very small doses before he wants to strangle the kid, and with Suzie in Utah… anyway they definitely wouldn’t get along with her either.

It’s not like we have other canon couples close to their age, because Robin and whatshername—Vickie aren’t really a thing yet (and also 🙄) and even if they were, I just don’t see it.

So, yeah, Max and Lucas, it’s just in the sake of maintaining peace at first, but I’d like to think it could become a lot more genuine through the years.

Now fanon couple, there’s only one I see them really getting along with and that’s Jonathan and Argyle. Argyle is chill and funny, he’s a calming presence for Billy, he’s just effortlessly kind and accepting and very good at defusing a situation, so it’s basically impossible to get mad at the guy, even when Billy is in A Mood. It’s kind of dangerous to leave Argyle and Eddie alone though, because they always seem to have the best (worst) ideas together.

It’s also very dangerous to let Eddie and Jonathan talk music, because they will argue constantly. Jonathan is a pretty chill dude until you start shit with the people he loves or put him in the same room with Eddie Munson. It’s friendly and teasing at first, and then there’s yelling and it’s time for Billy and Argyle to intervene before it gets ugly.

Billy likes Jonathan, because the guy doesn’t look like much, but there is a fire inside him. It’s hard to get him angry but he can be a total bitch and it amuses Billy a lot. Also they don’t talk about it, but hey, team shitty dads!

Anyway, yeah, I think the four of them would be very fun to put in a room together and study.

WHAT IS YOUR OTP FOR YOUR CHARACTER(S)?

I only have one OTP outside of RP and its Dofla/Croc. Otherwise, I absolutely adore EVERY ship I have. I may not show it much because I am barely online but if we are shipping, know that I absolutely enjoy our ship(s).

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

My parents have 20+ years difference so I might be a little biased here but there’s no age gap that bothers me as long as everyone’s an adult. However, I find shipping with characters around 18-19 to be uncomfortable with characters over 40. Past 20 years of age though, you can screw/love anyone you want and I don’t care.

Minors with adults is obviously a Big Yikes and if you do that, get help. I should also specify that I don’t care if you ship teens together though. Teen romance is beautiful and so fun to explore...as long as it remains tasteful.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?

I tag nsfw any nudity. Kissing, making out, touching, grinding is suggestive at best. I usually tag nsfw when clothes are discarded.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?

Yes and no. I’m a slowburn bitch so people who just want quick shipping usually lose interest in me before anything happens (which is fine! I’m not the most involved roleplayer and I know I take forever and then some). So No, I am not selective, but Yes the way I ship may look like I am. I just like to explore the dynamic a lot before any sort of shipping can happen.

I’m all for writing bad relationships though. One sided romances happen often with me since a lot of my characters are villainous bastards who only cares about themselves. But even my good guys have their preference. It’s all about the dynamic baby!

WHO ARE OTHER CHARACTERS YOU SHIP YOUR CHARACTER WITH?

Depends on the muse! But as I said earlier, I ship every ship I have. But I only have one OTP and it’s Dofla/Croc and it’s not gonna change. It’s been that for over 15 years, sorryyyy

DOES ONE HAVE TO ASK TO SHIP WITH YOU?

As a spontaneous roleplayer who just like to shove barbies at one another, No, you don’t need to ask me. Ships tend to happen naturally. But, if you need confirmation, sure, feel free to ask!

Also, if we never roleplayed together and you jump in my inbox to ask me to ship, it might deter me a little. Again, I’m kinda hell-bent on the dynamic and slow burn so my answer would likely be: we can try but we have to see how they interact first!

Volume 2 Is done! Man this Is the one with my second favorite opening <3 It's just so epic it pumps my blood!

Anyways, thoughts with no order whatsoever!

Emmerald is another of those characters I love to see the progression of. We must protect. Emmerald baby you're insuferable and you deserve the world<3

Burning the candle is the moment <3 that was when we knew. It was also the moment Yang was cemented as my fave and she never stopped being it, props to Barbara for that classroom scene, it holds a special place in my heart.

As a side note, I can't think about Burning the Candle without remembering Explosivesky's Hollywood AU <3 that fanfic is on another level. Even during my angry-about-Penny era, I would read it from time to time because it's that awesome fg

Glynda and Ironwood's talk is one of my favorite scenes in the volume. Honestly, I miss Glynda, Glynda is a badass.

Jaune has listened to Weiss singing. I feel the unexplicable need to know in which context this happened. Does Weiss sing while studying? Did they had some kind of recital? Did they go karaoke-ing on a missing scene? Is Weiss secretly a popstar who's writting songs about her partners and travels and Jaune owns one of her albums??? Yes I'm still into that dumb headcanon lol.

Roman and Cinder scenes were always a treat to watch, look at my two dumb villains who share one single braincell with Neo and she has it 99% of the time. I really had such a great time with villains in the early seasons. Also, once v3 happened Neo took the cell hostage and Cinder hasn't seen it ever since. makes sense.

Yang's dance dress missing it's pattern is another thing that will never not be funny to me lol poor girl was stuck dressed as an extra!

The Oobleck Zwei combo fight is one of the best things ever lol always one of my favorite parts when watching reactors lol.

Team CFVY, my beloved<3 I hope we get to see more of them in the Vaccuo arc. Bring us the return of Caffeine!!!!!

Weiss' Ice flower to shield the team from the train crash is still one of my favorite moments of her. Weiss excels at the support mage role in her team, and it always delights me seeing her taking care of her team <3 they're the family my girl needed.

I've seen so many critic viewers complain about thr girls leaving Yang fighting Neo because it was clearly a bad match (which doesn't make sense because it literally was the first time we saw her fighting????) But honestly, it wouldn't had made sense any other way. Yang had some kind of personal vendetta against Neo at this point, just like Blake had against Roman. I get the logic conclusions, but characters in the heat of the moment don't usually get to logic conclusions before acting. They are friends, they trust eachother, they had no reason to fight any other way.

I gotta give a shout out to the v2 soundtrack. I love every soundtrack of this series, but v2 is supperb in every sense. Sacrifice is still on my Top3 songs in general (War and Smile being the other 2 and Miracle barely behind). Boop? Amazing, unparalled, that's how you take a beloved character and ship and give them an anthem. Dream come true is just lovely, Jaune, I wished you had seen it sooner... Caffeine? I listened to that song non-stop for a month after I first saw the finale, and it's still that awesome~ All our days holds a very special place in my heart because I used to sing it to my niece to sleep when she was a baby, and it's just the perfect Yang to Ruby song yes I know it's Jeff to Casey and Taiyang to the girls, but it will always be Yang to Ruby for me.

Raven is such an interesting character to me. It's said personality influences semblances or the other way around, and hers is a way to check on her family no matter how far away she is... We're missing so much about her story.

I do listen to it! I'm not going to answer every single thing here but:

Favorite character: Juno, natch.

Least Favorite character: Juno's mother is fantastically played but the downside is that it's genuinely hard to listen to; I don't think I will ever relisten to season 2 Juno Steel even though I liked it a lot.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): as always I am a boring canon bitch most of the time (particularly with indie creator-owned media because they're not dealing with executives saying MAKE A STRAIGHT WHITE PICKET FENCE ROMANCE) so Juno/Peter; Buddy/Vespa; Ale/Angelo; Damien/Arum/Rilla. I will say. I love Caroline and I know she loves Quanyii deeply and I support this for them in the abstract but Quanyii's voice drives me up the fucking wall so I'm like "I'm so happy for you, also stop."

Character I find most attractive: I think he's only attracted to men in canon but I have to say, the way Peter is described is pretty hot. Also Rilla.

Character I would marry: Mick Mercury and I am DEAD serious. Is he kind of an idiot? yes. Do I think he would be a sweet, attentive, and loving partner? yes, and also he is very rich which is important to surviving Space Capitalist Dystopia.

Character I would be best friends with: I am very different from Rita but I also get along well with Rita-like people. I want to hang out with Rita and Jet and eat weird snacks and watch movies.

An unpopular opinion: I really liked Sasha when she was more morally gray but I have to admit, I've gotten less interested in her. I like the current plot but it was way more fun for me when she was the morally gray childhood friend Dark Matters insider rather than Evil Director W.

My Canon OTP: I mean. Juno/Peter, it has to be, right.

Most Badass Character: Olala. though she be small she is fierce, etc.

Most Epic Villain: Ramses

Pairing I am not a fan of: None really

Favourite Friendship: Buddy and Jet's friendship forever

Character I most identify with: This is shocking even me but I've found Vespa, who I always liked but who I always was like "girl stop trying to murder Juno, you two should be friends" before, to have become deeply relatable in the current season.

Character I wish I could be: well assuming they weren't all murdered I would love to have been one of the sisters of the Garden of Graves. Also being a genius hacker like Rita would be very fun.

The he.,.,the all of it..the.. The pouty litttle face...the little mean baby face...his little cutie punk face he's like grrr im so scary my little frown...his latent delinquent energies even though they couldnt fully commit bc they had to at least pretend like he wasn't entirely a villain...but it's still there at the core of his character...the being a rhythm guitarist specifically it's like the ego of a guitarist but also an implied reliability he keeps the rhythm of the band he backs up klavier and helps him perform at his best (this is entirely a hallucination on my part)
