hey so i read your "rant" about seonwoo and younghee and, if you dont mind i want to give my 2 cents on the matter (feel free to ignore this) but with seonwoo i think this insecurity about what other's might think, and his people pleaser nature shows in how much he cares about hyungjoon and minseong having a date. im not saying he is malicious, but this nature which he has said "that's how i am and im not going to change that" is betraying him. and will hurt ppl and himself: you can't keep everyone happy without someone's feelings getting hurt. (trust me this is coming from a people pleaser who went to therapy) i agree seonwoo needs to start prioritizing his OWN feelings, whichever they might be and start giving closure to those he can't see himself in. like you said, younghee could handle rejection. hell he has been rejecetd by seonwoo multiple times already. well maybe not rejected, but ignored and not being seonwoo's priority.
now yeonghee...his age betrays him. a lot. many times. he is adorable and he has won over everyone's hearts, like they all dote on him bc he is the youngest. and he, in kind, responds with more youthful reactions which are normal from a 21 y/o. like nobody bats an eye when in ep1 while junseong and seonwoo are bickering palyfully while washing dishes, he just paces around to watch over them. but if it was seonwoo people would have noticed in a heartbeat. these behaviours of a 2years removed teenager, again, are "normal" for his age, but should not be directed at someone who is 12 years older, and who sees said behaviours like they are: juvenile reactions of a guy with a crush.
i love your take about seonwoo seeing younghee as projection of himself, who couldn't live his life as a queer man in his 20s. bc whenever he is with younghee (i think of when they come back that lil twirl thing he does before opening the door), seonwoo just lets his younger self heal, but that is not romance. when seonwoo is with seongho he appears more reliable, friendlier, fonder. still, i can't call it romance on account that their age up is still 9 years.
anyway these are my observations, i don't know if i missed the mark on some aspects. so id love your take on them
have an amazing day!!
first off, apologies for taking so long to reply to this ask, but I find it rather interesting, and frustrating, that so much of what you said here still stands true for seonwoo and yonghee despite it being weeks later. and now that he’s removed from the sungho and junsung situation, I think it’s interesting that he acts so differently around people that are his friends vs people he still has some kind of romantic connection to, like he has made progress and moved forward in his relationship to both sungho and junsung with the help of hindsight and has managed to realise a lot of the places where he fell short in his actions. but bc he refuses to resolve the situation with yonghee, he can’t get to that point where hindsight helps him see how he’s made mistakes and his actions have caused hurt.
what I think these two need is to enter a relationship where they aren’t thinking about things so seriously. seonwoo needs a relationship where he can be at ease and have fun and feel secure and like he doesn’t have to please, he just needs to relax, and I don’t think yonghee can give him that bc he is being so serious with his feelings, with the strength and passion of them, that it puts seonwoo on this pedestal, and he would do anything for him, which means that he can’t see or won’t call out any of his flaws, which someone needs to do. despite how hard and emotional it was, look at how deeply it affected minsung for hyungjun to call him out on something. I think seonwoo needs that, someone strong enough and that cares enough to say something to him with kindness and clarity. just look at how effective and rewarding it was for him to learn something from sungho and see a different side of himself. he needs someone to see him, and not glorify him like yonghee does, and in turn yonghee needs someone that he can be calm around, someone that tells him to tone it down, that he doesn’t need to be actively trying to sell himself and show his good sides and change for a relationship, bc at his age that’s not something he should be taught as the correct thing to be doing. like he is enough, he is so enough, and changing himself to earn someone’s affection not only doesn’t work, but isn’t something he should feel like he needs to do. he has this incorrect notion that doing all this and trying so hard is romantic, and it can be when the other person sees and appreciates it, and when it doesn’t come at the cost of losing yourself, but by not saying anything against it, seonwoo just lets yonghee continue to believe that this is a romantic thing to do, when he needs to be told straight. and this thing he has with yonghee reminding him of his first love and more generally of being young and having those youthful, strong romantic feelings, it’s almost like he doesn’t want to crush that, he wants to hold onto this memory of him falling in love that strongly and not hurt that part of him he sees in yonghee that would have to be so strong and brave to behave this way, he doesn’t want to crush it.
I just think the relationship they have is so interesting bc I do think there are feelings there, but the strength of them and where they come from is so unequal, it doesn’t feel like they’re engaging with who each other actually are, instead they see these ideals of romance in each other that they want to chase and hold onto. and I think the kindest thing I can say about both of them is that they deserve to find someone that loves and values them for the people they actually are

Zodiac Signs When They Are MAD
Anger is an emotion everyone feels.
How we handle it differs from person to person. It can be explosive from the start. It could appear as passive-aggressiveness. Or maybe no one will ever be able to tell there is anger simmering beneath the surface.
Anyone is capable of unrestrained, destructive anger. Just as anyone is capable of managing that anger healthily. It depends on the maturity of the individual.
Let’s take a look at how each of the zodiac signs reacts when they are mad.
Aries
Aries is the classical explosive anger type. They will go for the knockout as soon as they are pushed too far.
Aries has a strong sense of justice, especially when they have warned others to stop crossing their boundaries. If they don’t stop when warned, Aries won’t hesitate to call them out.
Contrary to popular belief, Aries isn’t always boiling with rage. It can take longer than expected for them to explode. They can get frustrated, sure, which can look like anger to others.
But true anger in Aries will be obvious. When they’ve had enough, they can become destructive. Physically, or to their relationships with others in ways that, most of the time, can’t be mended.
Taurus
Taurus is known to be explosive when they are mad. And also for taking obscene amounts of time before they express that anger.
It could be taken out on targets who don’t deserve it because they happened to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
Taurus has an extremely high tolerance for anger. They don’t find it a productive emotion and would rather not feel it either. It is a toxic emotion in their opinion. It doesn’t fix the problem or convey the root of the emotion to others.
But when Taurus does finally blow up, they will unleash every ounce of rage they’ve held back on their target. It could be weeks, months, or years' worth of anger dumped on one person.
Once the dust has settled, Taurus will feel awful.
Unless the person deserved it, then justice was served.
Gemini
Gemini will defeat those who make them mad in a battle of words.
Quick-witted and silver-tongued, Gemini can use these gifts as weapons when they are angry. And it’s extremely effective.
If Gemini is angry at someone else, prepare to listen to them vent. Gemini is very good at expressing their frustrations verbally. It may take them a while to get to the root of their anger, but letting them vent will help them find it.
Luckily, once Gemini has talked their anger out, they let it go. Gemini isn’t one to hold a grudge. Once they’ve said what needs to be said, they will either make up with the source of their anger or walk away.
Cancer
Cancer can be very good at hiding their anger. They are very passive-aggressive.
Being a zodiac sign that runs hot and cold, Cancer is both those extremes when angry. They can hide it so well you’d never know, or they may shock you with an explosion of accusations.
A healthy Cancer can control the explosive side of their anger. But they are still capable of it when pushed beyond what they can handle.
Cancer tends to take things personally, and their hurt is guarded by their anger. Being mad feels much more powerful than being in pain.
And like their symbol, the crab, when they are in pain, they retreat into their shell and snap their pinchers at what hurt them.
Leo
When Leo is mad, they just want to hurt their target.
Leo has very childish anger and how they express it. Even if they don’t mean the things, they are yelling at you. Leo gets loud and dramatic.
A good example of Leo's anger can be seen on just about any reality tv show. There is always a dramatic fight over something. It results in name-calling, theatrics, and ultimately someone walking away.
It can leave the person on the other side of that anger hurt and confused as to why Leo is being so cruel.
Leo’s anger is a form of self-defense. They’d rather be angry than vulnerable.
Virgo
Virgo hates conflict. But that doesn’t change the fact they get mad just like everyone else.
Virgo opts to be passive-aggressive when they are angry. They will find little ways to slight others and make comments that can be interpreted multiple ways.
Virgo tends to hold grudges because of not properly expressing their anger. So instead of being vented, that anger is held onto and stewed in until something finally breaks.
Virgo would prefer to go on passive-aggressively until they die. But there is inevitably something that they can’t tolerate ignoring any longer.
That’s when they bring the receipts, the facts, and the legal argument to win over the jury.
Libra
Libra's anger is silent.
Another zodiac sign whose go-to move when they are mad is to be passive-aggressive. Libra will use the silent treatment to stonewall others in a fashion unique to them.
When they are truly angry, they will remove themselves from the situation.
A healthy Libra can be capable of talking through their issues with the offending party. If they believe the other person is capable of understanding why Libra is mad.
They want to know their anger has a real chance of being heard and changes being made. If they don’t think the other person will listen or understand them, Libra will merely ignore them.
Scorpio
Scorpio expresses their anger through body language.
Every-proud Scorpio will remain passive when they are mad. But their body language will tell a different story. Eventually, they will explode if the signs are ignored.
Scorpio is more than able to destroy another person when they are mad. It makes them careful about how they act, especially when mad at loved ones.
Sagittarius
Sagittarius takes a while to get mad.
They generally go with the flow type people, so it can be shocking when they finally lose it.
Sagittarius is known for being straightforward speakers. This extends to when they are angry. Sagittarius knows just what words of truth to give you to make it hurt. Really hurt.
Once Sagittarius has decided to stop being nice, they won’t hold back. And unlike with their fire sign sibling Leo, Sagittarius means every word they say. And everything is the truth. It’s indisputable facts.
Careful when a Sagittarius is mad.
Capricorn
Capricorns get a god complex when they are angry.
They begin to act more in charge, possibly micromanaging others into insanity. Capricorn will have nothing good to say. It will all be insults and criticisms.
This zodiac sign is one of the most dangerous when they are mad. Capricorn is vengeful and doesn’t care if the person they are mad at is right. They made Capricorn look bad, now they have to pay.
Capricorn is very effective at taking their revenge, too. This is a zodiac sign you should avoid angering at all costs.
Aquarius
Aquarius is a very tolerant zodiac sign, it’s very hard to make them mad.
When they are finally pushed too far, Aquarius is likely to be sharp with their words. They will usually retreat into isolation to cool off.
Aquarius will stop making appearances in that person's life. They simply won’t respond to calls or texts.
Aquarius wants to protect their energy. If someone pushed them far enough to become this mad, Aquarius has decided they aren’t worth being around. They would rather put their time and energy elsewhere than fight or hang around stupid people.
Pisces
When Pisces is mad, they become self-destructive.
Pisces internalizes their anger in a passive-aggressive, unhealthy way. This usually ends with more damage to themselves than anyone else.
That doesn’t mean they won’t lash out. This will appear as an emotional outburst that has them throwing whatever painful thing they can think of at the other person. Pisces wants them to feel the same pain inflicted on them.
Even if that pain is mostly self-inflicted. Pisces needs to learn how to process their anger in a way that won’t cause them more hurt.

Twisted Love
Warnings: afab!reader/Rika, implied sub!Rika (very subtle), praising, cunnilingus, marking, body worshipping, position "69"
this is a smutty fic based on V's bad end where mc ends up with Rika, making love to each other. MC is replaced with reader.
Even though it's apparent that in the game the relationship is very unhealthy and based on obsession, i still have to say that i do not condone unhealthy/toxic dynamic in any shape, way or form.
Your lips are on hers, hunger stored inside your chests now unleashed as you kiss your lover. Her silky golden locks brush against your cheeks, tickling the skin.
Rika holds onto your shoulders like her life depends on it, as if you could disappear any second. She breaks the contact, looking deeply in your eyes, her emerald ones filled with lust.
"You're not going to leave me, right? Please, say you won't!" She bites her bottom lip, awaiting your answer. You can see the distant fear in her eyes, body tense.
"Rika, my love, I'm never going to leave you. No matter what, I will stay with you." She visibly relaxes at your reply, satisfied with it.
"Touch me, kiss me... Love me," Rika takes your hands in hers and guides them on her body, placing your palms right on her chest. She shivers as you slide them down to where she needs you the most.
You resume your kiss, pulling Rika on one of your thighs, grabbing her plump ass. She gasps against your lips, grinding down on your leg. You can feel how wet she is, how desperate she is.
You reach your hand down, rubbing slow circles through her lace underwear. Rika digs her nails in your back, overtaken by the pleasure you give her. She lands sloppy kisses on your face, lips, jaw and neck.
"Let's take these off, hm?" She is hypnotized by your whispers, only able to nod in agreement as she lets you lay her down on the bed and pull her underwear off, leaving a black lingerie gown on. She looks absolutely angelic in it.
Rika can feel your hands roam down her thigs, squeezing them ever so slightly. She feels so good, so loved and appreciated. Not the same as when she was with Jihyun, he never was enough for her, you opened her eyes with the unconditional love and devotion to her. Something that aroused her even more.
"You're so beautiful, so perfect. Rika, my Rika. I love you so much, no one will ever love you like i do, especially not him. Let me show you just how much i love you." You kiss her inner thigh, biting down on it. She smells amazing, looks amazing, tastes amazing. Everything about her is ethereal.
Kissing and licking your way up to her vagina, you don't break eye contact with Rika. You spread her inner lips with your thumbs, blowing air on her sex. She can't help but whine at the coldness, it's uncomfortable but not so much that makes her want to stop.
She curls her fingers in your hair, pulling your closer to her pussy. You'd love to tease your lover some more, but she's been good enough to receive her reward. You lick a long stripe from her hole to her clit, enjoying a loud gasp. Her grip on your hair tightens as you continue licking and sucking.
"Ah! [Name], wait. I want you to feel good, too." You smile at her sudden request, before crawling on top of her, your vagina above her face. Rika kisses your skin, leaving hickeys on your thighs. Desperately she pulls you down on her face, circling her tongue around your clitoris.
"Love you, love you, love you..." Rika whispers against your skin frantically, relishing in your scent. It drove her crazy, you drove her crazy. She wanted to be yours, she wanted to have you whole, be as one. She loved you, she loved you with her whole heart.
She finally found her true love, someone she could be herself with. And she wasn't planning on letting you go. Ever.

So more about my Wu and Misako rivalry au rewrite thing, the reason they hate each other was sometime during Garmadon’s training under Chen, Garmadon managed to trick them into blaming each other for something.
I’m thinking maybe they were on a quest specifically to retrieve the staff of elements, which hadn’t yet belonged to Chen and was in a temple somewhere. Garmadon, taking lessons from Chen, intervenes in a way that makes Wu and Misako fight over the staff (idk how, maybe Garmadon convinced that the other was going to use it for selfish purposes), before causing something (like unleashing some beast that guards the temple, maybe Clouse’s snake) to make them lose the staff and have to escape, and Garmadon retrieves the staff later, giving it to Chen. Maybe Wu and Misako were meant to destroy it, before each deciding that they wanted to do different things with it idk.
The event leads Wu and Misako to continue to fall until they eventually stop talking, and Garmadon feels so bad about it for the rest of his life. Maybe Wu was the one to actually start the physical fight over the staff and Misako was the first to leave when the snake happened they both really blame each other. And Garmadon thinks it’s his fault. Although actually, in s4 realise that even if Garmadon interfered none of them tried to fix their relationship and just like how Jay and Cole’s fight wasn’t about Nya it’s was about their friendship, Wu and Misako realise that it wasn’t about the staff or what Garmadon did, it’s how they treated each other afterwards.
Before all that though, I like to think that Wu and Misako were besties even before Garmadon met Misako, and Wu kinda set them up. Like one night Misako describes her ideal love interest and Wu’s like “I know a guy” and gives her his grumpy and maybe evil brother. Generally Wu was really supportive of their relationship and thinks he’s a matchmaking god, even though Misako and Garmadon are very different and have the most awkward first date ever (although they end up catching feelings for each other in the end).
But after the fight Wu alternates between accusing Misako of being a bad influence on his brother or hating them both and saying they are perfect for each other bc they’re both bad, dependant on whether he’s on good terms with Garmadon.
Although when Garmadon fully turned evil, Wu did put aside his own feelings to help Misako face him, or escape idk, although after that she disappeared bc she doesn’t need his help.
Idk I want to make the fight as grey as possible so here you go.

I am loving the BotW AU. And I can’t help but wonder how the events of the game would affect them. I suppose it depends on if the Yiga collapse after the loss of Master Kohga and the defeat of Calamity Ganon. But I also can’t help thinking of the group beset by Yiga soldiers and Link stumbling on them and lending a hand, or maybe wanting to lend a hand but quickly seeing he’s not needed. Or maybe the other way around, they find *him* under attack and help him out. The image in my head the most, though, is them seeing from afar a lone figure enter enter the ruins of Hyrule Castle and the battle that occurs there. They watch in shock as the restored Divine Beasts unleash their fury on the Castle, and minutes later, a massive beast of shadow and Malice takes shape in Hyrule Field. How do they react, seeing the creature that Peach and Grey have served for most of their lives? The terrifying power and destruction it wreaks? How do they feel when a silent young man, who they maybe crossed paths with once before, single-handedly takes it down? How do they all feel when the threat to all of Hyrule is finally gone?
I never really involve whatever i'm brewing up AU wise with protag characters, but in Links case, he's pretty core to the whole thing that goes on there, guess I have to this one time haha
IDK if Peach would give two hoots about him, he's some small quiet kid who doesn't really stand out to her. If she's travelling on the road early on, she'd only have hints of her old gear on her person, so they'd have no reason to immediately fight each other. Much like before with the giant horse, if Link was getting mobbed by any villains, she'd be more inclined to leave him well alone, its not her fight, she's always been pushed to put her life on the line for her clan, for others, so she likes to opt out when possible. Plus, the countless humans she's slain, she tends to be a little void of feeling about one more being added to the pile. Theres plenty of them, it's not something that bothers her. Plum however would give her a look, and you'd see her shoulders slump a little before she gets her weapons out and goes over to assist in some way. He would notice the hilt on her blade, or the tell tale battle tactics, but mostly, her disappearing and reappearing in flashes of smoke and dust around the battle field.
When the clatter of swords stops and the bodies hit the floor, Plum is the one to rush to the young boys side, offering a hand, making sure they're ok. She is sweet and gives them a chance to rest by a fire, suggesting they all stick together for the night and go their separate ways at dawn.
It is possibly one of the most awkward camps they've ever had, Plum unable to find common ground for her companion and this young boy, they sit in the silence, fire crackling, Links on edge because 'that is a huge woman and she's not put her sword down once.' and Peach is very cautious, because this newcomer has an unusual air about him, something makes her really jittery about him and she can't place why.
Theres a moment in the night where Grey could easily sneak up and cause trouble, start a fight. Link will see nothing but a Yiga blademaster approaching, perhaps Link even gets a solid hit on him. Peach would step in and protect Grey without question, even though he's trying to hunt her down still, causing more tension between the group and Link. She tells both boys to leave, and tries to end this calmly for once. Getting stuck between Grey and his brutal fighting style, and this agile little human boys blade feels dangerous, she can't fight them both at the same time, plus Plum could still be targeted. She can only do so much.
A very confusing battle will ensue. Her gut was to protect Grey from this human, but every so often both the boys take swings at her too. She sustains plenty of damage. Her desperate attempts to stop the fight is lost, every block she makes to protect one of them, the other gets a hit in. It's total stale mate, neither of them are backing down. She's forced to whistle for her horse who comes thundering by at break neck speed, able to flip up onto its back and bolt off with her life. She watches the pair still fighting in the dark, too preoccupied with each other to give chase, getting further away. Plum leads the way and the pair escape. Peach is certain one of the boys will die there and then, and hopes its not Grey.
neither die, but she does not know this for a while, until Grey causes some more trouble, and she assumes the young boy died instead.
Once the duo becomes a trio, and Grey joins them, they most certainly would notice the pull of Ganon's power. Less informed yiga clan members may be fooled into believing Grey is still part of their ranks, at least for a short while after he defects, and he could gain information about the hero, leading the group to the castle. I think based on the pairs wants, they'd try to stay out of it as much as possible, but who wouldn't be curious right? They'd been told to aid the restoration and expansion of this powerful being across the lands, trying to stop anyone getting in its way, especially the hero of old. Perhaps, if they wanted to live a free life, this all had to end, something Plum would say for sure, that helping end it could let them live a happy life one day. Maybe helping the hero is a better bet for freedom. And it hits them all, when they see a familiar face in the distance enter that castle, the boy from the camp striding into the heart of it all.
What a whiplash of feelings that must be, they heard the stories, they were told the rules and all the jobs needed to make sure this thing, this nightmare was freed to do its worst on the lands. But to actually lay your own eyes on it? All three of them would feel their blood run cold, a sweat break, a weakness in their hands that grip weapons and a shake in the legs that want to run so far in the other direction.
The chaos occurs, they see the whole thing go down and it is beyond anything they expected. A number of times they nearly get struck by rogue bits of rock blasted so far from the battle field, nearly crushing them. Thank god two of them can teleport. It kept them alive. On a few occasions an active Guardian spots them, swiftly being flipped by pillars of rock that jut from the earth, Peach and Grey keeping them at bay while the battle rages on, plum pinging arrows into them to stop their powerful lasers.
And then, finally the fighting stops. they look around and things seem to be calm, theres no menacing energy, no great form of their former master, the calamity...subsides? The guardians who spot them are free of their malice, they no longer attack on sight, simply roam around, you can walk right up to them and they don't retaliate, simply look at you.
They see the boy exit the castle, battered, but alive.
It feels like its over. For a few weeks they travel around, waiting for more trouble, but Hyrule is healing, people are no longer afraid. It takes three weeks of shifting around before they realise none of their yiga clan members are chasing them, usually they'd have had several attempts at their life by now, but after the great fight, none have occurred. They spend time in a sleepy village and realise theres no threat anymore, at least not immediate.
The trio find a place out in the woods, not far from Plum's home town, but distant enough to have some peace, and begin to build a home. With the fighting gone, they're finally free to just live. Theres space for joy and learning. They get the occasional call to help train some adept Sheikah guards in Kakariko village. On rare occasion they'll be given tasks and travel away from home, usually to deliver something precious or fight someone who's threatening the calm, but always return to their cabin in the woods, back to their peaceful lives.
Perhaps one day the Yiga clan will enact some form of revenge, but until that day, their numbers seem scattered and they lack a clear goal or leader.
Though I do wonder if they may blame Grey for his inability to kill the hero that one night, in their eyes he could very well be the reason their plan failed. Peach actively didn't kill Link, in fact she tried to stop the fight all together, and then ran from it. Theres no way there wasn't another member watching that whole thing go down.
Theres room for revenge there, should anyone discover where they all settled out in their woodland home.

tw: blood, death mentions, allusions to depressive thoughts and suicidal ideation..
staring at his phone, it took everything to not crush it in his hand. it was rare for eun. the desperate feeling under his skin. growing into something could devour. beryl knew but would say nothing. the other in france knew, also said nothing. something foreboding in the man’s voice when they had spoken about the elder vampire’s confusion. it was caution he heard in the youngers voice. his fingers got marginally tighter around the expensive phone. there were things he could not remember before. post often he approached them with a nonchalance that age could allow him. but not now. not for the one he had run into. there was something boiling in his blood, and he couldn’t name it.
so, he thought of other options. mortal psychology was an option. that, however, took time. patience. a love for oneself that eun wasn’t certain he could give to himself in the moment. sleep would not save him, for sleep never came. there would be now dreams to connect the scents and feelings. then there was magic. magic. something he didn’t often rely on simple because being dependent on others to do it rubbed him the wrong way. his distrust of most people in the world made sure he was careful with everyone he encountered. even if it didn’t seem to be that way. his secrets were his own…
the phones metal casing began to creak with the pressure his hands were putting on it. a bone deep ache twisted in his gut when he closed his eyes. the smell, so familiar, like fire on the wind but the warmth of it. comfort. battle with the emotions that seeped between each conscious thought. hunger, but it didn’t feel the same as it usually did. something pleasant curling up like a cat. a contentment he didn’t understand.
those were all muted. nothing compared to the gut-wrenching despair. it colored every moment eun tried to dig more. it grasped at his heart, that some days he forgot he had. he ached. like something raw torn open for the world to touch. the taste of blood on his tongue did nothing to ease it. it tasted like ash. as if he was swallowing down what had been left behind by the fire burning within him. a sympathy of confusion and a pain he didn’t fully understand. when the crescendo of his thought finally crashed… there was only one thing left behind…
with a cry, more akin to a snarl out of his mouth, the phone was crushed in his hand. the pieces thrown to the side as if it had offended him… it starts from there. his rage tearing him apart from the inside out. he is only lucky enough that he somehow keeps himself from leaving his home. the devastation eun would unleash would only be upon himself.
the inferno raged…
nothing near him was safe, as he tore through his living room. priceless antiques. carefully hunted down artifacts. they all crashed against on his cold floor. shards of them digging into his skin but the flash of pain was nothing compared to the inferno in his mind. eun didn’t stop. not when slivers of wood and glass dug their way into his skin. rapid healing encasing them as if they belong there. his bare feet not safe from the damage but it did nothing to cause him to cease.
soon enough, there was no object within the closest of his reach that stood in one piece. nothing but destruction all around him. it was a miracle that he didn’t go further. that he was able to plop onto the ground and leave the moment at that.
in silence, he sat. gone was the heat of his rage. the flames doused in something so numb all he could do for a moment was blink. his own blood covered his skin, but the wounds were healed. tomorrow, he would need to dig out the shards. tomorrow, he may clean up the living room. leave it barren and as empty as he was feeling in the moment. tomorrow he would present himself as if nothing changed. as if there will be no discomfort in his limbs until he picked out every piece out of his skin.
eun would smile and flirt like there was no desperation in his soul. like he didn’t wish to crawl into a cave. never leave. but that wouldn’t due. he had items to get for his favorite little bedlam. she would help him in her own way when they finally got the chance. a sudden strike of anger hit him deep at the thought that he had to wait because of fucking hunters. useless humans that feared everything that was more powerful them... if given the moment, he could kill most of them himself.
there was a sigh, one he didn’t need to let out but the practice of it seemed to calm him slightly. quietly, his eyes closed as he slowly leaned back. soon enough he was laying in the shattered pieces around him as if they weren’t there. one more sigh, moved over his lips as he simply laid there. with intention of moving. with no urge to move, eun allowed his muscles to relax
nothing around him but destruction and the darkness of night. silently, he wished for oblivion to fill him to the brim. swallow him whole. if only for a moment. for a small amount of time. perhaps he could leave all of the rest there too. in the dark.

Thelreads, MHA 287, Replies Part 2
1) “Yeah! The broccoli boy is the chosen one, he shall guide this quirk forward! Begone, foul demon of the potato fields, begone!”- The fact that AFO’s possession of others through his vestige is treated akin to an actual demon’s, if even more invasive and defiling, says a lot about him.
2) “Yeah Shigaraki, I mean, there’s only two of you, and there’s like, 9 of them on the other side, of course they would be winning this battle of wills. Be grateful they don’t obliterate yo asses out of here”- Tomura doesn’t actually give a crap about stealing OFA himself either, but he’s annoyed that the power can seriously resist his own overwhelming might and the destruction he unleashes with it, so that motivates him to oppose them regardless. 3) “You really gonna try this angle AfO? For real? Even though you know you can’t measure up to their will?
They might have not been stronger than you in the real world, but it comes to willpower, you don’t stand a chance, it’s like a gust of wind against a tornado. This is futile, even Shigaraki cannot help you in this.”- It’s a match-up of quality over quantity actually. Tomura and AFO are outnumbered by the other vestiges, sure, but Tomura’s hatred and ever-present rage against the world entre was groomed by AFO to be as mindless and primal as possible, in order to overcome their numbers. Individually, he can overpower each one of them, and this is only after having just awakened. Given enough time, he could further refine it, now he has experience of the vestige realm, to seriously threaten to take OFA in one go, regardless of what resistance they put up. MHA as a series has always been about emotional highs, invoking that “hell yes” feeling when the heroes pull through despite the odds, bringing you to the peak of emotion in the process. It’s therefore appropriate that AFO's plan incorporates this fact, and best to think of Tomura’s hatred this way: He’s always peaking his hatred 24/7. Even if the other vestiges can resist for a bit, eventually, they will weaken, because Tomura just keeps going and going without letting anything stop him, and that near-force of nature isn’t something a human can resist forever.
4) “OH MY FUCKINGG GOD SHIGARAKI HE LITERALLY JUST SAID HE WAS THE ONE THAT KILLED YOUR GRANDMA HOW ARE YOU NOT CONNECTING THE DOTS ABOUT WHO’S TO BLAME HERE”- Well, he still blames everybody for his issues, so it’s all the same to him. Again, for all that Tomura could be redeemed, he does everything he can to choose not to, because he’s convinced himself he’s better off as a villainous monster, no matter how unhappy it makes him deep down inside. 5) “AfO how dare you speak like that about your own son?! Shame on you, it’s a good thing you don’t have eyes otherwise you’d see how disappointed he is right now”- Izuku started off his journey as a hero with his major antagonist being his childhood bully Bakugo. Appropriately enough, the major villainous threat he faces at the end of his journey, the one his power was cultivated to defeat, is himself just a massive bully as well, and is all the more devastating an opponent for Izuku because of his past experience with it. Izuku’s self-confidence and belief that he’s “worthless” without the powers bestowed upon him have always been a major weak point in his psyche, and AFO is capable of exploiting that weakness with only a few choice sentences. 6) “AND WE’RE BACK IN THE REAL WORLD IT SEEMS
AND READY FOR ROUND TWO I SUPPOSE”- Well, that depends on who you’re referring to. Because I don’t think Tomura’s in any fit state to pilot that engine of destruction he calls a body, but somebody else seems more than willing to jump in… 7) “Oh right, here comes the rest of the circus, with definitely-not-a-todoroki preparing to throw hands against his fam again. Good lord.”- Given how unexpected Machia’s appearance will be for those fighting at the hospital, I appreciate them building up his arrival so much, given it;d be a massive diablos Ex Machina for him to burst in just as they’re on their last legs agasitn Tomura already. 8) “Oh yeah, that’s definitely the face of someone who just lost someone close to him less than half an hour ago”- Dabi’s the kind of guy to always look on the bright side of life. Twice is dead, but otherwise, things are progressing smoothly, so may as well smile so the enemy doesn’t have the satisfaction of knowing you’re upset!....if he is actually upset. Again, hard to tell, he keeps his cards so close to the chest. (MHA ch 271) 9) “…
I don`t know why, but I don`t like the sound of that.”- He’s got a plan, and he’s not gonna share it with anybody, so nobody will be able to stop him…. 10) "Toga is still… thoughtful…
Seems like she’s also keeping some distance from Dabi, but more than that, she’s looking for someone, and we know who. Midoriya is there, and so is Uraraka. She is wondering where both of them are, we know that she is."- Compress is, as ever, noteful of his allies’ true thoughts and feelings and doing what he can to make sure that they’re all together in this evendour, despite his own comparative lack of power in a fight, just like a good supporter should. I actually find it interesting that he phrases the question to Toga in such a way that he’s giving her the option to stay out of the battle if she really doesn’t want to hurt the enemy, even after all the sacrifices their side has taken. It’s more care and consideration for her loss than Dabi’s showing.
11) “We can make an argument about how Hawks had to kill Twice, otherwise countless other people would die instead, about how he was not happy with what he had done, and even about how Dabi has as much guilt as Hawks does about what happen, but that does not change what happens for Toga.
The heroes are there, and they won’t save her, they will just kill her if they deem that is necessary.”- It was one thing for the world to reject her and the way she naturally is. It’s another to realise that it might be ok with killing her if it’d be easier than treating her as a human being, especially in an ongoing warzone. To her, the idea of heroes is a oppressive force that enforces judgement and condemnation, and now arbitrary execution on her friends and allies. She knows on some level that this is part of society’s system, but she wants to meet Izuku and Uraraka, the two she knows personally amongst the “enemy” to get their perspective on events and her specifically. Is she a victim to them? Or a monster to be put down?
12) “And thus, she want answers from the two heroes who she actually trust. She wants to know what they would’ve done, if they were the ones that were there, besides Twice
Would them see him as a person or as villain? They didn’t know what he went through, the pain he felt, would the choices he had to do to survive in this cruel world even matter for them? If it came to this, would them kill him as well?”- Honestly, the outcome would have indeed been different if it was anybody other than Hawks facing Twice – both in the good and bad sense. Hawks did the best he could to respect twice as a person, but it just wasn't enough, and he didn’t have the power to stop the parade any other way in the end. Izuku might have been strong enough to smash all the clones in an instant, and if Uraraka had used anti-gravity on twice, she could have yeeted him a safe distance, but that still might not have stopped the parade from happening. In the end, the fact we don’t know if there was a better way to resolve it puts us in the same boat as Toga and the heroes.
13) “We know the answers, we know where their hearts are, but Toga has been so shaken about this whole situation that she doesn’t know what to believe anymore
Her faith is being tested, she needs the answers to see if there are heroes and villains, or if this is just a lie to justify this madness”- At this point, it’s neither heroes or villains fighting straight out of a comic book, it’s just people on opposite sides coming into bloody, painful conflict with no way to stop it. @thelreads

❘༻In this world, only the strong are destined to survive. This was a lesson taught to him very young by his father, The fallen king of Saiyans. He placed higher value in raw strength and numbers then he ever did true servitude to his Kin, though, he couldn’t fault his father for staying faithful to his instinctual desires for strength. He, too, yearns for power though the reasoning behind why shifted over his years on Earth. His standards for how it’s obtained, has as well, altered and adjusted itself because of how much he’s developed as a person. These points of reflection only present themselves to him when he feels doubt in himself, a comparison between who he’d been versus who he is now always brought a feeling with it. Sometimes, it helped what plagued him, other times, it actively worked against him, this all depended on the scenario being presented.
Being ruthless, he considered, as he walked to the balcony and stared off to the distant city below, brings with it more strength and fury. Fury can be blinding, which in itself can be a detriment yet if furious enough, could eliminate an enemy with a single blow—A grand move to finish it all. Vegeta struggles with falling back into that old routine because there are moments in battle where he absolutely nearly loses himself to rage and emotion. Ordinarily? He’s a calculated fighter, stoic and collected yet intense all the same. Some of these battles he’s involved in require strategy and each time this conflict presents itself where his fury wishes to unleash itself upon the enemy, it’s troublesome.
Tumblr media
If his rage causes failure, then his newfound family and home are at risk. If they are at risk, Vegeta follows suit. He grumbled a soft curse to himself, he doesn’t care that nobody else favors his company, he doesn’t care about changing his attitude or temper yet he does very much care for how it may place these bonds he’s formed in jeopardy. As a warrior, he’s strong, though these tournaments and Lord Beerus himself have implanted questions about just how strong g he is in the grand scheme of the entire universe. If there are people who can easily and effortlessly take on two seasoned Saiyan warriors, then what confidence should he have that himself and Kakarot were enough?
His fist slams against the railing of the balcony “Damn it all!” He clenches his teeth and squeezes his eyes shut as that dreaded fury arises. Fury aimed towards feeling this way, utterly powerless to stronger invaders and powerless to stop his own raging emotions.༺❘

It Was Not Juston Time
Hey there, grease traps. Half into our foray through Avengers Arena at this point, eh? I'd say it's gonna get worse before it gets better, but... it's not gonna get better. Trust me on this~
Here's the cover:
Tumblr media
At least we're finally getting some decent sorts of covers. You know, ones that are actually symbolic and representative of their contents and story. Stuff that actually says something about the series and issue you're about to read. This is pretty representative of Apex and her manipulations throughout the series. I don't personally care for the minimal colour palette, but it is nonetheless eyecatching. And it's not a reference to something I haven't seen or read, so that's a plus in my book. I feel like that first batch of covers were commissioned when they just had the story concept, before the plot was being written.
So, last time, in the wake of Kid Briton's death, the assembled teens finally started working out their problems and not killing each other. At least until Juston turned out to still be alive and opted to take revenge on Apex and Deathlocket for wrecking his Sentinel pal. Also, Apex turns out to have an alt mode of some guy named Tim, and that's gotta be an interesting story. And Chase goes public as Darkhawk, which is sure to cause some ripples as well. All the problems will surely be resolved in a calm and narratively satisfying way! And if you believe that, I've got nine more issues after this one to sell you~
We start with some narration from Tim, which is nice, because he's the one we're most curious about. He monologues about how he's always been told he's a "peacemaker" or "people pleaser", and Peacemaker isn't even the right comic publisher, so that can't be true. But it's because he hates confrontation, and that much is at least relatable. Makes sense, though, when he has to put up with his sister, Apex. Like, this whole fight scene happening right now? Classic Apex, according to him. She lives for conflict, which only turns out good for her.
Juston blasts Chase back down, and while Nico and Cammi help him up, they also demand to know why he's suddenly Darkhawk now. X-23 tries to stand in the way, but this is, after all, a Sentinel and she's a mutant. It's kinda what they were designed to take out. Fortunately for both of them, Deathlocket puts a reassuring hand on Tim's shoulder, and he reservedly does what he has to do: float over to the group and unleash a burst of blue energy from his body, knocking down all of them and shorting out their powers and/or robots.
But just because powers have been diffused doesn't mean tensions have, and Juston is still gearing for Apex's blood. Chase points out that Apex isn't here right now, and while he might just be speaking on what he can see, I'm still gonna give him credit for open-mindedness. I've met a few folks who have alters, though I don't think any of them can shapeshift like Tim and Apex can. That's basically what it boils down to, once he gets everyone to stop chomping at the bit so he can explain: he and his sister are twins, but they share a body. They even change physical characteristics depending which one is in control.
He explains further than they ended up this way due to genetic experimentation. Their parents had been aiming for superbabies, and didn't quite get what they'd been hoping for. But the kids at least got some technopathic abilities out of it, in addition to their shared living situation. Until about two years ago, they'd swap every 24 hours, and their parents homeschooled them. Apex didn't like this arrangement and began to act out. This lasted for a lot of her childhood, wrecking all the electronics and terrorising the house staff. Because of course they're rich.
Eventually, Apex grew out of it. She became quiet and would study on her own. Everyone felt like this was probably a good thing--until the day of the accident. There was a car wreck, and while Tim had been the one in the wreck, Apex is the one who came out. See, what she'd been studying was practicing banishing her alter. She learned how to surpress Tim and be the only one in control. That's probably not healthy, but everyone else got what they wanted: Apex got her freedom, and her parents got a "normal" child they didn't have to keep at home. For them, Tim was dead.
So that's basically it. Tim's been stuck in silent prison inside his sister's head for the last two years, which is why none of her fellow Braddock Academy mates had any idea about this. The technopathy also explains how she's able to manipulate Deathlocket. But anyway, the recent way they outsmarted Apex and stunned her at her own game, this was enough to shake her control and let Tim out for a bit, and he's thankful. But of course, the big question now is... What do they do with him? What happens if Apex switches back? Should they let him go? Can they?
And so they vote. Chase, Juston, and Nara all are in favour of killing Tim. Nico, Cammi, Cullen, Anachronism, and X-23 are against. (Deathlocket doesn't get a vote, I guess.) And while I'm disappointed Chase would vote that way, he's also not wrong. Tim is basically a ticking time bomb, and Apex is not gonna be so pleasant. But, as the others point out, there are different kinds of "wrong". And while Chase's opinion makes sense strategically, if they play it that way... Well, what really makes them any different than Apex at that point.
Chase continues to argue his point, until Nico finally snaps and uses the Staff of One to banish him from the group. He's been keeping secrets--like the whole Darkhawk thing--and his impulsiveness is just not something the group needs. So he's out. Nico offers to take watch for the group that night, and they leave her to it. Well, comic, you already annoyed me by getting the Runaways involved in this dreck to begin with. Now you've annoyed me further by splitting them up. I'm just glad they're the only two included. Imagine how much worse it'd be if Molly was roped into this story.
Meanwhile, Tim's over with Deathlocket while this is going on. He's coaching her on how to interface with her cybernetic components. While she's able to walk around and stuff, she doesn't really have access to her own weapon systems and the like. But who better to show someone how to work with unfamiliar stuff in their own head than an alter and a technopath? And with some guidance, she's able to "feel" out and use her own arm cannon. She excitedly gives him a hug, and it looks like it's gonna be an almost kiss, but they get shy when Nico spots them.
Nico gives them a go-ahead and turns away to keep watch, kinda smiling at something almost like romance blossoming. Deathlocket wants to try again, and Tim leans against a rock for a moment. Locket asks what to do next, and ...Apex straightens up, instructing her to switch off her brain and give her control. She knocks Nico out from behind, wanders over and snaps Juston's neck, killing him and taking control of the Sentinel. She rockets away with Deathlocket in tow, while Tim returns to monologuing. He admits he's responsible for everything she does, because he's a coward who wants to live, even if behind the eyes of a monster.
Oof. Sheesh. Blah. I told you it was going to get worse before it got better. I mentioned before, I stopped following this after issue 6, but I did hear about Juston’s death through the grapevine back in the day. And you know what I did? I didn’t go on to hate-read this piece of crap, that’s for sure. Instead, I went out and I bought all three digest volumes of Juston’s Sentinel solo series. I can see them on my shelf right where I’m sitting, between Gold Digger and all the Adventure Time graphic novels. And I think that was the right call. I spent my money to celebrate his life, not wallow in his death. We should strive to do the same in any situation.
Now, actually having read this for the first time, I don’t think this issue is entirely without merit. Oh, I very much dislike it, don’t get me wrong! Even Juston’s death aside, I also hate this direction with Chase, and especially expelling him from the group. But...! While I don’t like that it was Chase that suggested it, I do think the points he brought up were valid ones. It is a difficult topic, and it has often come up in superhero debates (especially with Batman). Personally, I do not like when superheroes kill. For any reason. Superheroes are someone we should look up to. And I think I should especially say teenage superheroes shouldn’t kill. That’s some soul-staining stuff. Note how X-23, a character who has canonically killed, votes on the side of sparing his life. She knows. And I think that is good writing. Tim’s own dilemma is also a topic worthy of exploration. Very existential. But all the rest? Nah. No thanks. I think we could’ve gotten all of this without needing to needlessly murder Juston. Notice how Apex didn’t kill Nico, just knocked her out. But went out of her way to murder Juston. And that is what I hate about this series.

ASTRO NOTES 🪐 🧿✨🌌
*THERE !!!!!! IS !!!!!! NO !!!!!! BAD !!!!!!!PLACEMENT !!!!!!! IN !!!!!!! ASTROLOGY !!!!!!!PLEASE STOP FEAR-MONGERING THESE POOR NEWCOMERS PLEASEEE !!!!!!!! CHALLENGING never equals BAD !!!!!! If you’re a true student of astrology this would be a well know FACT to you.
*Saturn and Capricorn placements are the areas you will slowlyyy become wise in, having developed compete mastery over that area with TIME.
*You usually get compared with other people who share your rising sign.
*Most scorpios/scorpio risings have dark complexions, they even could have almost a permanent shadow cast over their faces, they may struggle to find perfect lighting.
*Virgo in 6th house are hypochondriacs and are paranoid/worry a lot about their health. They’re very nit-picky about their “symptoms”, they’re the types of people to know what they’re coming down with when they’re already at a doctor appt., they may as well even EDUCATE THE DAMN DOCTOR LIKE GO AHEAD MRS PHDD.
*Chiron conjunct midheaven is the ultimate healer placement, other chiron placements, chiron in first/aspecting the ascendant, following behind, these people are true healers whether they realize it or not, they’re born to assist and heal the general public. The midheaven, the highest point of the sky representing our reputation and career, what we’re known for. These people generate a reputation for their “healing abilities”, they’re quite literally known as the wounded healer (depending on if Chiron is positively aspected in the chart, this will affect the flavor of their reputation), they will experience pain related to work or matters related to the reputation, their status and authority could be wounded, they can later use their pain to help and heal others. Challenges will be met at work if Chiron is afflicted. This placement also means one will have their pain and wounds projected to the public, the whole world knows your pain.
*Mars in twelfth need to express their energy, their anger and will through the activities of whatever sign mars is located in the chart i.e. mars in aries in the twelfth need to express suppressed anger/anger through physical activity, sports, working out, sex, pisces mars by unleashing their massive creativity, compassion, dreams (this sign, and house combo especially, has many dreams, it’s a sleepy placement for the ideal fiery and straightforward mars to be located in). Mars in twelfth is generally a good placement that could manifest in someone being a dancer or athlete, mainly finding escape through any type of physical activity for fire signs, work for earth, socializing for air and creativity for water. This placement has very gentle, enchanting watery movements if they get into any sports or physical activity.
*Mars in eleventh can be aggressive toward their friends esp if mars is in a fire sign it becomes no joke. Don’t get me wrong, they’re the best humanitarians and what not but they have a reputation of being the “angry” or “aggressive” friend out of most of their friend groups, they’re very competitive and energetic people. However the way they stick up causes, they way they are always seen supporting any humanitarian cause with their whole hearts is AMAZINGG. They’re the types of activists to stay late to a protest, they’re the types to seemingly never leave what they’re standing up for, what they’re supporting because they are SOOO AMBITIOUS AND YEAHH !!
*This isn’t talked about a lot but uranus in eleventh have to be the most comforting and “welcoming” presence out of every eleventh house placement in astrology, with uranus in its home, the house of aquarius, it erases any filter put on what friend is attracted by their social presence as EVERYONE is attracted to them, from any possible and imaginable background or culture and homeland, anyone can trust and confide in their wide openness as their care and concern for society is completely genuine. They are truly the biggest and truest humanitarians, the universal humanitarian that will lead us to the monumental revolution of history and bring humanity to a collective whole.
*Pisces moon, people lovee you. People want to come up and talk with you just because of how interesting and intriguing you are. You OOZE this aura of compelling mystery similarly to scorpio moon. Your innocent playfulness is undeniably charming and you are definitely the life of the party, people want to pay attention to you!!
*Saturn in 11th, you are not an outcast, you are not too strange. You’re fine for just who you are, your individuality is a struggle for you, saturn is restricting you from liberating yourself and merging with society, you can selective or strict with friendships. You teach others to have boundaries and to never trust others too easily, you select social causes with caution. There is never anything wrong with this !! You choose what you support for YOU and NO ONE ELSE. You choose who you wanna become friends with it’s because they have passed the true rigorous test of friendship. When you become friends with someone, you already know you can trust them deeply, your caution is quite admirable !!
*Mercury in 12th is an extremely beautiful placement. The native grows shy of their flawless minds, little do they know they are connecting with the watery depths of the astral and psychic realms of the twelfth, the vagueness of their cloudy thoughts winds them up in wispy sheets of intellectual confusion. Your mind is communicating the brilliant and unbelievable parts of what seems like a dream. You are not too confusing or vague for others to understand your ideas, people await what emerges from this shiny and imaginable abyss of a sleepy mind.
*Mercury in 8th have an intellectual superiority complex of sorts, they analyze a piece of information or thing by tearing through the surface until they find the deepest depths of the truth, they believe this will never compare to other placements as they have dug far deeper into something. Be careful to not assume that someone doesn’t know something you don’t, while it still can’t be true. You always want to know someone, don’t be too controlling about it because you could cause conflicts which you didn’t mean to in the first place. If you know your boundaries and limits and of others’, then you should be fine. This placement is brilliant for investigators, someone who could examine, analyze and evaluate to find the answer others can’t see. They harbor a psychic mind, a plutonic one who knows the weight words can have on people. Fantastically persuasive speakers !!
*Gemini in 3rd, gem mercury have unstable minds, they’re very much prone to babbling, but can easily start up a conversation because they never run out things to say so they’re pretty social and friendly.
*Capricorn moon is an amazing moon sign placement, here the moon is in detriment as the saturn ruled cappy doesn’t get along with the soft, nurturing moon, it’s always gotta work work work, limit, restrict !! There’s never anything wrong with the moon here, just because the moon and saturn can’t get along, just because they contradict each other’s completely different functions never means it’s a terrible moon sign. It just manifests in a completely unique way outside of the traditional service and role of the moon, similarly to let’s say sag mercury as it’s also in detriment, they both manifest creatively to make something new out of the planet’s sign. Back to cappy moon, this moon has the capacity to work as they find fulfillment in getting things done, serving others, but negatively restriction and criticizing. With saturn ruling capricorn here your emotions and wellbeing become restricted and limited, you have felt as if no one understands you, you believe something is wrong with you. Like no one in the world supports you emotionally. But this is NEVERRR true, people love you for how caring, attentive and even funny you are !! You care soo much about others you forget to care for yourself, SOME of you even begin to think it’s normal to ignore what your own needs, nooo you need to STOP THISSS . You deserve to feel great about what you do, your accomplishments, how you care for others, EVERYTHING, and most importantly believe, trulyy believe that nothing’s ever wrong with you !! You’re unbelievably charismatic and overall just.... WONDERFULLL. Ily guys smm you’re amazingly stronggg souls !!!
*Moon in 12th house is an EXTREMELY sensitive placement, these people are little babies on the inside (ilyy guyss you all have my heartt <33). They often felt neglected, not nurtured as a kid which creates their extreme sensitivity to their current surroundings and environment. Their shy moon is always hiding behind the mystical and otherworldly curtains of the 12th because of their sensitive upbringing or personality, it’s takes some time for the little guy to come out. The moon here needs SPACCEEEE. A person who’s a walking sponge with fragile emotions, they’re our emotional and energetic vacuum cleaners of the world, they are helping the world without ever realizing it !!
*Pisces risings are known for being hard to characterize for their ability to naturally adapt to their environment. You can tell if someone has this if they absorb their environment like a sponge, then, react to this energy, you can easily see this energy morphing. It becomes noticeable if there’s a lot going on. Another clue is having trouble defining them based on their first impression, like they could be anything you project onto them, very mysterious and dreamy individuals when you meet them.
*Your midheaven/10th house is what you look up to be or what traits you wish to embody, ex: aries MC, confidence, passion, courageousness, being a leader, etc. Moon in 10th, being a therapist, helping the less fortunate, medical professions.
*Libra risings usually have amazing skin, just like virgo risings, to contrast, I’ve seen most of them marked with freckles. They have very symmetrical features, perfectly balanced just like a scale. But it appears as if they’re “superficial” once their faces begin to wear into your mind.

Performance coach Tony Robbins says that the quality of our lives depends on the state we live in every moment of every day. That state, whether we’re happy, sad, frustrated or excited, depends on three things:
• Our physiology — the way we move our bodies, the way we breathe and what we do with our face.
• Our language — the words we use, whether spoken out loud or inside our own head, to describe our experiences.
• What we focus on — the things we see versus the things we block out or fail to notice.
Today, I want to zone in on that final piece, because what we focus on is key, and it will in turn affect the way you move your body and hold yourself, and the language you use. I see this play out so much around me in general, and in the writing community in particular.
At any given time, the things we focus on determine how we feel and what we make of a situation. And what we focus on, in turn, is governed by the questions we ask ourselves every moment of every day.
Take your writing journey for instance:
If someone leaves you a negative review, do you ask yourself whether this means you’re a failure and your work is a failure? Do you ask yourself how dare that person belittle your work with a bad review? Or do you ask yourself what you can learn from this? Could you ask yourself how good it is that this person was honest in their feedback, so that readers with similar tastes won’t buy your book—and therefore not spend money on a read they might otherwise dislike and rate negatively too?
See how different questions would illicit different points of focus, and therefore different states? Some are more conducive to a positive mindset, whilst others tend to nurture frustration.
‘Why’ Questions: The Endless Loop.
And so it goes that by asking lousy questions, we get lousy answers. Because our brain has this tendency of taking any request we give it and processing it, regardless of whether or not it’s good for us. It’ll scour through the recesses of our mind and go on and on until it finds an answer.
‘Why’ questions are the worst, because there’s often no clear answer, or more than one possible answer to them, and it sends our mind on a chase to find as many possible reasons, processing like a headless chicken, often going around in circles, leaving us ruminating.
Take our example again: What if you asked yourself ‘why is this person leaving me a bad review?’
Now unleash your brain on that one, and let it roll with it—you may get:
• Because they didn’t like the book.
• Because my book is terrible.
• And if my book is terrible, then that makes me a terrible writer.
• Maybe I should just stop writing.
• Who was I to think I could do this?
• I’m clearly not good enough.
• Or maybe they left a bad review because they’re an idiot and didn’t get the brilliance of my work.
• Clearly they’re a moron.
• Maybe I should track them down and tell them just that.
• Maybe I should rally everyone I know on Instagram to shame that dimwit for leaving that review.
• …
… this can go on, until it loops back to the top and starts again. Sounds familiar?
What kind of state do you think you’d be in from obsessing over those disempowering, angering questions, never able to get closure because the loop has no logical end?
Empowering Alternatives.
My own experience of asking myself lousy questions, and my interactions with others within the writing community, have left me convinced that writers need to start asking themselves more empowering questions.
Because the way we tend to ask questions to ourself—those that breed anger, and resentment, and self doubt—ultimately only bring us back to two fears that sit at the root of it all: the fear that we’re not good enough, and the fear that we won’t be loved (or appreciated, or liked). These fears can be crippling. And that can’t be good for anyone’s art anywhere.
I’m writing this today to give you some more empowering alternatives. Some that I have used along my journey and have helped me improve.
Here are four examples:
#1 — gearing up for success:
• Instead of: ‘Why are other writers so much more successful than I am?’
• Ask yourself: ‘What I can learn from other writers to become more successful myself?’
There’s a lot of comparison out there. We know we shouldn’t fall into the trap of it, but it’s easier said than done.
If you see fellow writers thriving with their writing, their social media strategy or their exposure, try modelling what they do that is working and find what, from that, works for you.
Better even, reach out to people and ask them for advice—most people will be more than happy to share, and it’s a great way to build a network!
#2 — boosting sales:
• Instead of: ‘Why am I not selling books?’
• Ask yourself: ‘What I can do to increase my book sales?’
It can be discouraging to have published something, and to see your sales figures stalling. If you start wallowing in self pity through disempowering ‘why’ questions, you’re bound to start spiralling.
Instead, make a list of what you could do to help your sales along.
Here are some ideas that come to mind:
• Seek out book clubs and put your book on their radar. See if they’d been interested in reading your book and having you for an author Q&A when they’re done reading the book.
• Look into running promotions on Amazon (like discounted eBooks).
• Go local! Reach out to your local community and spread the word (cafes, local bookshops and libraries, local Facebook groups and communities etc.) and give them a chance to support a local.
• Contact your old school or university and enquire about showcasing you and your book as an alumni success story.
• Build genuine connections with fellow writers, avid readers and book bloggers. These relationships are a fantastic way to increase your reach and spreading the word about your book—and as a result, improve sales.
• Offer to do a read and review swap with a fellow author, where you read and review each other’s book.
• And so on.
If you start asking your brain to think outside the box, it’ll do just that!
#3 — the writer’s life:
• Instead of: ‘Why can’t I be a full-time writer and have financial security from writing?’
• Ask yourself: 'How is my present occupation helping my writing?’
• …And then ask: 'What can I do to increase my revenue from writing?’
This is one topic that’s been crossing my mind a lot, and I suspect many of us out there have pondered it at one point or other. If asked the wrong way, this question can send you spiralling into a frustrated state.
I don’t write full-time at present, and I have had my moments of daydreaming hours away, wishing I could live off my craft. That never led to anything very productive.
What I have found helpful however has been to focus on what my day job enables me to do with my writing:
• It takes away the pressure of earning a full income from writing.
• It gives me time to write and experiment with my craft in different forms.
• It enables me to look into ways to monetise my writing at my own pace.
• And that’s made for much more exciting trains of thought!
#4 — social media guru:
• Instead of: ‘Why can’t I manage to grow my Instagram reach?’ Or ‘why is social media sapping my energy?’
• Ask yourself: ‘What can I do to create a healthier balance when it comes to promotion efforts?’
Social media is a tricky one. It has incredible benefits if leveraged the right way, and it’s an amazing tool to get yourself and your work out there. In fact, I recently wrote a piece on the immense value of joining Bookstagram for writers.
But it can also be a drain, because the mechanisms of social media are built on the principle of addiction. It’s literally designed to suck you in and make you crave more, and fear that you’re missing out and not doing enough.
To avoid falling into that vicious circle, I’ve found it much healthier to ask myself how I can find the right balance to achieve what I want with my social media presence whilst also keeping my sanity. What this ends up being will look different for different people. If you’re unsure where to start, think about what you find challenging about maintaining your social media account, then what you find helps with your peace of mind, and try to find a middle ground somewhere in between that meets your needs.
Ask and thou shalt get.
I’m a firm believer in our ability to manifest our reality—at least to some extent. If you focus on all the wrong things, then your reality will look challenging and bleak.
If you train yourself to look for constructive ways forward and to get yourself excited about making the journey smoother for yourself, then finding that sweet spot that works for you can be a fascinating journey.
And that all starts with asking the right questions. Finding the right point of focus. Writing can be a wonderful, yet at times confusing and challenging journey. So do yourself a favour: where possible, take away those mind blocks that stand in your way!
Different questions about your writing journey illicit different points of focus, and therefore different states. Some are more conducive to a positive mindset, whilst others tend to nurture frustration.

peach’s summer book list
i had a lot of fun compiling the list of books i read during the 20-21 winter, so i decided i would do a summer one as well! i still have a lot of books i own but haven’t read, so im definitely not lacking in material
if you didn’t see my winter list, how my book list works is basically like this: i read a book that i own but have not previously read, write a short summary immediately after finishing the book, write down my thoughts on the book, and then provide a rating for the book. i also might include background info on why i read this particular book/feelings about the author, but that depends on the book. that’s how each entry works
without further ado, let’s get started!
1. Grasshopper Jungle by Andrew Smith
okay so i absolutely adore another book by andrew smith (written after grasshopper jungle) called the alex crow. it’s one of my favorite books of all time, so naturally i wanted to see if grasshopper jungle would make me feel similarly. just like the alex crow, grasshopper jungle’s plot is. so fucking weird. it stars austin szerba, a teenage polish kid who lives in ealing, iowa, and is often sexually confused regarding his girlfriend shann and his best friend robby. and in ealing, iowa, austin and robby accidentally and unknowingly unleash an unstoppable army of huge six-foot-tall praying mantis bugs that only want to do two things: fuck and eat. and i just have to say: andrew smith’s got an absolutely dynamo writing style. alex crow is similar, where it’s a book about kind of everything all at once, framed in a moment centering around teenage boys. it’s fantastic, and it’s more than a little gross, and i love it. this book made me feel so many things, and i thought austin was such an amazing narrator and main character to identify with. this book has it all: shitty teenage boy humor, fucked up science experiments, and poetic imagery that will make you want to cry. and explicit lgbt characters.
412/10 andrew smith what do you put in your water i just want to know
2. Burn by Patrick Ness
patrick ness has written a plethora of some of my favorite books (such as a monster calls, the chaos walking trilogy, and the rest of us just live here) so when i saw this one in the store i knew it would be a great one. burn is an alternate history fantasy that takes place in 1957 frome, washington, during the height of the cold war, and it begins with a girl named sarah and her father hiring a dragon to help out on their farm. but there’s not just dragons, farm living, and cold war tensions; there’s also a really shitty small town cop, a cult of dragon worshippers and their deadly teenage assassin, a pair of fbi agents, and a prophecy that sarah’s newly hired dragon claims she’s a part of. i think eoin colfer’s highfire was on my winter list, which also featured a story that included dragons and shitty cops, so when i first began burn i thought it was funny to have two books that had both things. you know, if you had a nickel etc etc. but that’s really where the similarities end because burn is entirely it’s own monster (dragon). burn is entirely invested in its world, and its fascinating. not only that, i had no clue where the book would take me next. there were so many surprises and amazing twists that honestly just blew me away. this book also includes beautifully written complicated discussions on family, race, and love - it features interracial and queer romances as the two most prominent romance plots which was such a nice surprise from a book i wasn’t expecting to have that kind of representation. this book is witty, fast-paced, and a very heartening read - i absolutely adored it.
9/10 dragons and becoming motivated by the power of love and friendship are so fucking cool
3. As Meat Loves Salt by Maria McCann
i hate this book! as meat loves salt is a historical fiction novel which takes place in seventeenth century england, which is going through a grisly civil war. the protagonist, jacob cullen, is a servant for a wealthy household and is engaged to another servant in the house. but due to certain events that are almost entirely jacob’s fault, he flees the house and is separated from his wife. from there, he joins the royal army and meets a kind soldier, ferris, and the two become fast friends. jacob and ferris’s relationship begins to bridge past friendly, and jacob struggles with his homoerotic feelings as well as the growing obsession and violence inside him. also, they try to start a colony. listen, i don’t know how to describe the book because so much happens, but it basically just follows jacob and all the terrible decisions he makes because he is, truly, a terrible person. ferris is kind and good, and jacob is scum of the earth. he sucks so bad. the entire time i was reading this book (which took absolutely so long), all i wanted was for jacob to just get his ass handed to him. i wanted to see him suffer. and it’s not like i just personally don’t like him - i believe the book purposefully depicts him as unsympathetic even though he is the narrator. i did enjoy the very in depth and accurate portrayal of what life would’ve been like in seventeenth century england, and i think it was interesting to read a character that is just the absolute worst person you’ve ever encountered and see him try and justify his actions, so if you enjoy that kind of thorough writing, then this book would be perfect for you. however, i did not see that bitch ass motherfucker jacob cullen suffer enough. i’d kill him with my bare hands.
2/10 diversity win! the worst man on earth is mlm!
4. This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab
i know ive had a friend tell me how great one of schwab’s other book series is, but truthfully i bought this book because the cover is sick as hell and it was on a table in the store that advertised for buy two get one free, i think. something like that. anyway, this savage song takes place in a future in which monsters, for whatever reason, suddenly became real and out for blood in a mysterious event nicknamed the phenomenon. august flynn is one of these monsters, but he takes no pride in that fact and only wants to feel human. kate harker is the daughter of a ruthless man and is trying her hardest to be ruthless, too, but deep down she knows it’s just an act. their city, verity, stands divided, and kate and august stand on either side - but when august is sent on a mission to befriend kate in the hopes of stopping an all out war, the lines begin to blur. this book rules. august and kate are such interesting and dynamic characters, and the narrative is familiar while still being capable of twisting the story around and taking the feet out from under you in really compelling ways. this savage song is part of the monsters of verity duology, and i can’t wait to dive into how the story continues and finishes.
11/10 sometimes you can judge a book by it’s cover
4a. Our Dark Duet by Victorian Schwab
this is the sequel and finale for this savage song and i’d figure i’d update everyone: fantastic ending, beautiful, showstopping, painful.
12/10 loved it and will definitely be keeping an eye out for schwab’s other books
5. White is for Witching by Helen Oyeyemi
oh boy. okay. white is for witching is about a house, and it is about the women who have lived inside of it. when her mother dies abroad, miranda silver begins to act strangely, and there’s nothing her father or her twin brother seem to be able to do about it. she develops an eating disorder and begins to hear voices in the silver family house, converted to a bed and breakfast by miranda’s dad; and she begins to lose herself in the house and the persistent presence of her family legacy. white is for witching switches perspective dizzingly and disorientingly between miranda, her twin eliot, miranda’s friend from school named ore, and the house itself. this story is a horror story as much as it as a tragedy as much as it is a romance as much as it is a bunch of other things. oyeyemi brings race, sexuality, nationality, and family into this story and forces you not to look away. this book is poetry.
(like i mentioned briefly, this book heavily deals with topics of race and closely follows miranda’s eating disorder. read responsibly, and take care of yourselves)
15/10 this book consumed me and i think i’ll have to read it another 10 more times to feel it properly
6. These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong
okay. okay. strap in for a ride. these violent delights is a romeo and juliet style story, taking place in glittering 1920’s shanghai. the city stands divided - not only between the foreign powers encroaching on chinese land, but also between the scarlet gang and the white flowers, who are at the height of a generations-long blood feud. juliette cai, heir to the scarlets, has recently returned from four years abroad and is determined to prove herself ruthless enough to lead. roma montagov, heir to the white flowers, is standing strenuously on his place as next in line due to a slip up four years prior and is desperate to keep hold of his title. and in the midst of juliette and roma’s burning history with each other threatening to combust, an unnatural monster lurks in the waters of shanghai, loosing a madness on scarlets and white flowers alike. this book has it all - scorned ex lovers, political intrigue, deadly monsters, and all set on a glamorous backdrop of the roaring twenties. i absolutely was enraptured by this book and the way it plays around the story of romeo and juliet so well that it easily became it’s own monster, but with the punches and embraces of something classically shakespearan. gong does just an absolutely breathtaking job of fitting this fantastical story amid the larger world of shanghai and the real life historical events that had shaken the city to its core. completely immersive and outstandingly heart racing.
17/10 i was chewing on my fingernails for the last thirty pages and will continue to do so until the sequel is released (our violent ends, 16 nov 21)
7. The Antiques by Kris D’Agostino
you ever heard of the american dysfunctional family story? this is most definitely that. at the same time george westfall’s cancer takes a turn for the worse, a hurricane hits the east coast, and suddenly all at once the issues of his health, the hurricane, and all three of his children’s achingly dysfunctional adult lives are crashing into each other. reunited by george’s death, the westfall siblings have to face their grief, each other, and the problems in their own lives they attempted to put on hold while planning their father’s memorial. this is a nice story about grief and loss and love and somehow finding the humor amidst it all.
(this book does include a depiction of an autistic child who does experience several pretty bad meltdowns due to ignorant people around him not understanding how to cater to his needs. im not an authority on what depictions are or are not harmful, but i do believe this depiction is ultimately loving and well-intended.)
7/10 it made me laugh and cry and was generally one of those books that somehow hit you close to home
8. Fierce Fairytales by Nikita Gill
fierce fairytales is a poetry anthology that reimagines classic fairytales from a modern, feminist viewpoint, acknowledging that the line between hero and villain, monster and damsel, are not as clear cut as the classics try to make you believe. this book also includes illustrations done by the author herself, which i think is really cool. my personal favorite story reimagining was the story of peter pan and captain hook, called ‘boy lost’ which looked at how peter and hook’s relationship began and rotted. all in all, i think this collection of stories had a lot of important things to say and said them in frank, easy to understand poetry and prose.
7/10 beautiful message and pretty prose, but at times a little cliche
and that’s all from the summer! my fall semester starts tomorrow, and overall i feel very good about all the reading i did this summer. i even read four other books not on this list for work! so i definitely feel like i made the most out of my time, and im really glad i was able to read so many stories that made me feel a variety of different things
thanks so much for reading this list, and let me know if you read or have read any of these books and tell me what you think of them!
happy reading<3

Growing Pains (Lucifer & Mammon)
At first, Lucifer thought that to fall with those he loved more dearly than anyone was the final blessing the Celestial Realm would bestow upon him.
But Father did not intend to stop after taking Lilith from them. He just took her first - the brothers still had themselves and each other to lose.
ao3 link: here!
---
The office in the manor was slowly becoming more and more cluttered as Lucifer continued to drag stacks of paperwork and countless manuals on Devildom culture into the house when he returned from his meetings with Diavolo. The business he had been tasked to sort out for the rest of his existence needed to be started on right away, leaving Lucifer tied up with an amount of work fitting for the place he now had to learn to call home. Instead of navigating the new life with his brothers, he had to spend his time navigating the halls of the palace or bent over an old wooden desk. The impressive castle doors now instinctively sent a pit into his stomach and finding the Royal Butler Barbatos waiting for him to lead him so he wouldn't lose himself in the halls hurt Lucifer in a weird, bruising way he had never felt before.
By the time he got home, the house was normally quiet. It scared him, at first: after spending so long in battle, silence could only mean something bad. During the first days, he found his brothers huddled up in the same spot, unwilling to be alone. Beel and Belphie would be curled around each other in some way, inseparable as they had always been. Mammon could be found sprawled over the carpet,, one hand gripping Satan's ankle or wrist as if that'd be enough to stop one of his rampages. Perhaps it was; from what Lucifer heard, every day he was getting better, learning more. Mammon wasn't the only one gripping him; Asmodeus was often cuddled next to Satan, clinging tightly to his arm or sometimes even to him. He was getting awfully affectionate lately, but maybe it was doing Satan some good. Only Levi wasn't directly touching anyone, but even though his back was turned, his new tail would occasionally twitch and brush against one of his brothers.
These scenes gave Lucifer pause, the feeling he was learning to be pride swelling in his chest. Everything was alright. Mammon had kept things under control.
He left them alone, not wanting to disturb their peace, and continued his work, the task distracting his mind and the affection distracting his heart from the crippling grief that loomed above them all.
Eventually, though, the brothers disbanded. The quirks he had noticed growing in them soon became hallmarks of their new beings: Asmodeus' affections were becoming increasingly licentious, Belphegor could hardly be found awake regardless of the time, items turned up missing and wound up in Mammon’s possession...each of his brothers seemed to spiral further and further towards degeneracy, save for Satan, who was as sinful as it got and instead retreated into himself and forming a grudge against everyone for his status as what seemed like a half-baked replacement.
Ever the dependable brother - a thought that was now strangely accompanied by a twinge of something unpleasant instead of the warm, affectionate delight Lucifer was used to - Mammon still tried to keep everyone together.
At first, it seemed to work. Nobody seemed entirely willing or even purposely trying to avoid the others. However, it seemed that the sin they began to embody were too great an obstacle none of them knew how to hurdle. Any interruption infuriated Satan, and Asmo seemed offended at the concept of taking his own time away from himself to check in on his brothers. Beel and Belphie could never be taken away from easing the effects of their sins for long enough to hold a meaningful conversation, and Levi had already dug himself so deep in a self-deprecating hole he seemed convinced any efforts to connect were the beginning of an elaborate prank to make fun of him. When items turned up missing immediately after Mammon’s visits, doors started slamming if they even opened.
Still, his attempts to keep the camaraderie alive meant Lucifer had more time to spend on the paperwork. It was a good system - at least, that’s how he felt. Evidently, Mammon didn’t feel the same.
Normally, on the days where Mammon made a futile attempt at his rounds (days that were becoming more and more scarce throughout the week), Mammon passed by Lucifer’s door. This time, there was an angry knock on the door, more of an alert to Mammon’s presence than a request for permission. The door didn’t bang against the wall, but Mammon had twisted the doorknob rather ferociously and Lucifer almost flinched at the noise it made. Taken aback by his brother’s stormy entrance, he nearly watched him approach impassively. There hadn’t been any opportunity to discuss the proper, respectful way to enter his workspace - clearly, this needed to be remedied soon.
“What’re ya even doing in here?” Mammon bellowed, looking around. The shelves that had books in them were put together nicely, the sturdy wood packed with old books about a life they both used to find reprehensible. How cruel of their father to force them to live what He made them fear most.
“You can lower your voice,” Lucifer answered, dropping his pen on the desk. When he leaned back, ignoring the way his upper back twinged at the change from his previous slumped posture, he met Mammon’s eyes and was surprised to see genuine frustration behind them. “I’ve been working.”
A scoff had never sounded more irritating to Lucifer’s ears. “Is that what it is? Because to me, it seems like you’re avoiding us.”
Lucifer scrunched his eyebrows. “Where did you-”
“Is that it? What, we all lost so now we’re losers and you can’t stand to look at us?”
“I never-”
“Or you couldn’t fill the void left when you were thrown out as the world’s best lapdog, so you became Diavolo’s instead?”
“Stop right there, Mammon,” Lucifer commanded, standing from his seat. His voice had a steely chill to it that it never had before, one to match the resentment burning inside of him. Instinctively, Mammon backed off. They didn’t know much about their new predicament, but they knew how the seven of them ranked in power, and Lucifer would always come out on top. “I’m won’t concern myself with where you got these foolish thoughts from. Perhaps it would benefit you to spend less time with Levi-”
“Levi? How could you know if he even had anything to do with this? When’s the last time you saw him?” Mammon shot back. “Spending less time with anybody isn’t the answer to anything, though of course it’d be your answer to things.”
Lucifer sighed. “I’m working out the details of this situation so you don’t have to worry yourselves with it.”
Mammon didn’t have an immediate response to that, instead watching Lucifer with betrayed eyes. He seemed to deflate over time, a resignation falling over him that forced his fire out with a sigh. "We were a team, Lucifer. What the hell happened?"
There were obvious answers to that, and there were not so obvious answers. Faced with so many options, Lucifer found himself unable to choose between them, and instead stared blankly at Mammon. Slowly, Lucifer sat back in his seat without breaking eye contact.
We've been ripped away from everything and left to become scabs over the wounds we've been given. All I'm trying to do is give you the freedom to heal however you need to, to keep you from the chains that could have just as easily awaited us as this fate did.
I'm hiding from you a burden that is too heavy to pass on - if I move it from my shoulders, I fear my arms would be too weak to carry it to you.
There were so many ways to tell Mammon that Lucifer had to lock himself away, the door a heavy shield against his own grief and the ever-growing work that buried him and the secret he carried. Even if Lucifer didn’t trust his own mouth to only say what was necessary, he could just thank Mammon for his efforts, tell him that he trusted Mammon more than anybody to keep together the one thing that ought to stay intact after the holy hell they’d created. But something inside him bristled, swelling uncomfortably until he felt like a balloon ready to burst. Gulping down his thoughts, Lucifer resumed his writing, the pen scratching against the paper more ferociously than the claws of any creature by which they now found themselves surrounded.
"I don't need your help," Lucifer answered simply, with finality. Though the words rang true in his mind, they were leaden with the way they pulled on his heart and tasted like iron on his tongue.
Mammon scoffed again, narrowing his eyes so Lucifer wouldn't be able to notice the tears that began to gather within them. "Fine, then. I-I didn't wanna help ya out anymore anyway."
As Mammon stomped out the door of his office with a huff, Lucifer felt something snap inside him. It wasn't in the way pent up rage unleashed itself, apparently, somehow in the form of a sixth brother, but more in the way one holds on desperately to a branch too thin for the weight. Once it snaps, the plummet is rough, with stronger branches breaking up the fall and taunting tossing them around in a cruel ricochet. Outside of the thick wooden door, it was startlingly quiet, as if the house itself was forcing Lucifer to grapple with the final thread holding them together being cut with his own words.
The pain started in his chest, the way it always did, wrapping around his heart and lungs like thorny vines. The spot on his lower back, occasionally tickled by phantom feathers, throbbed as his entire brain seemed to weigh heavier in his head. After a near eternity surrounded by laughter and the beautiful, enchanting hum of Celestial life and a thundering of battle that would ring in his head for the rest of his existence, the silence seemed like a stifling blanket, the final lock on the cage they had been forced into.
When one opposed Father and lost, he truly did lose everything.

NSFW Alphabet Daryl Dixon - dirty mindstuff
stupidly without all the gifs... because dumblr is an asshole.... you have to use your mind for that, sorry
Tumblr media
want to read more dirty Daryl stuff? FIND IT HERE
Tumblr media
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after )
It’s only at this point that Daryl is able to let go and relax completely. After he has reached his climax and snuggling up panting to you like there's no tomorrow, you can feel every time you stroke his hair, how the tension, his fears and worries fall away from him and ideally stay away from him until the next day.  Sometimes you have the feeling that he enjoys the after much more than the actual act.
Every time you feel his sweaty forehead and his hot breath on your skin, the world stops for a moment. When he buries his face safely on your neck, there is no apocalypse, no walkers, and no constant danger. In this moment there are only the two of you, and he tries to hold on to that as long as possible.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
Every inch of your shoulders and your neck. Mostly because he loves to bury his face in it when you're in bed or when he hugs you, always holding you close.
On the other hand, he enjoys the fact that you melt like butter in his hands when he places gentle and soft kisses on this spot.
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
The apocalypse, his not very happy childhood, his self-doubts; all this makes him always afraid that you might get pregnant. Daryl will always try to make sure that he doesn't come inside you. He enjoys it much more when you kneel in front of him and suck every drop out of him with a soft moan.
But sometimes (if he is lost in his thoughts or his day has been very shitty) it happens that he miss the moment to pull out of you in time . After that he usually lies frozen in your arms and doesn't say a word. No matter how much you try to talk to him, to explain that everything is okay, he is so obsessed by this fear that it literally paralyzes him.
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
One thing: His bike
He would love to thrust into you as hard as he can while sitting on his bike, grab your hair tight, pull you to him while he rams into you over and over again without a break.
While you would desperately try to find a hold somewhere on the bike, he would make sure with one last hard push that your moaning is nothing more than a desperate whimper. Without worry, without fear, he wants to come deep inside you and enjoy every second of your twitching walls.
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
He is not inexperienced, but his uncertainty and lack of self-confidence slowed him down quite a bit at first. He was always afraid to do something wrong or to hurt you by mistake.
As a result, he became reluctant and didn't really dare to touch you the way he would have liked to. Over time and with your help, he learned to trust himself and quickly found out that he did much better than he thought he would. And damn, when this man unleashes his talents, you will end up being a whimpering mess.
F = Favorite position (this goes without saying)
Anywhere where he can hold you close
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
He doesn't make a joke of it, but there can things happening , where even he can't help but say a few words and has to laugh.
If you are in the shower and one of you stumbles, or when he keeps ramming into you at a fast pace from behind and you almost bang your head on the tabletop, because you slip away with your hand and lose your balance. There are a few situations where you both have to smile.
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
I don't think Daryl is really interested in how long or how short the hair is. Whether it's on himself or you.
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
He will always hold you close. You are always somehow caught in his firm grip and covered with his kisses, as if he wanted to merge with you.
And if the position allows it, he will always search for your gaze, kiss your lips until they burn, and almost every groan goes down in his kisses.
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
Daryl has never been one to masturbate often, because he needs the closeness and bonding to get into the mood. It was only when he discovered how important you are to him that he started to feel the need to touch himself.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
He has a thing for when you moan his name hoarsely, while you painfully cling to his hair when you come, deeply looking into his eyes. This bittersweet pain coupled with the knowledge that he has pushed you over the edge is like an obsession for him and he will try to achieve exactly that every time.
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
It doesn't really matter to him where you do it. For him only two things are important: That you feel comfortable and that you are safe (at least what you can call safe in a world full of man-eating monsters).
An old warehouse, the driver's cab of a truck, an abandoned house: All this doesn't matter, as long as he can make sure that no bad surprises are waiting for you.
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
There are two things that turn Daryl on.
Number one is when you are close to him, physically and much more mentally and that happens quite often. When you sit on his lap, showing him how he means to you. When you take him in your arms after a stressful day without words and hold him tight for as long as he needs it. When you understand each other without words, and just sit in silence next to each other, and all of a sudden you snuggle up to him. All these small and yet so important things turn him on more than anything else and turn very quickly into hot kisses and naked facts.
Number two: His bike ( yes again, sorry )
Whenever you are together on the bike, it always comes to his mind what he would like to do with you on it, and that is a great motivator for Daryl, so that it's hard for him to keep his hands off you sometimes.
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
It's clear to me that he would never risk hurting you.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
He loves both giving and receiving.
He loves it when you kneel before him and moan in a low voice while you suck him off and gently massage his balls. Every time you roll your tongue over his tip, he shivers and grabs your hair even tighter while he enjoys every second of this sight. Which in turn makes you work on his cock all the more energetically and you could make him come pretty quickly. And even if he moans in frustration and begs you with his gaze to continue: He loves it when you tease him, push him to his limits and always stop just before he comes. Until finally, with a deep groan, he spills his warm cum in your mouth.
But he also loves to fix you on the ground with his firm grip on your hip. And in addition to this, forcing your legs to stay open for him while he sucks hard on your clit, while your shaking body keeps trying to bear the overwhelming feeling somehow. And of course also here he loves it when you cling hard to his hair when your whole body keeps on trembling uncontrollably while you come whimpering for him.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
It depends on his mood. Sometimes he enjoys pushing slowly and deeply into you and covering your body with gentle kisses. But in the same way, in some moments he has no problem with just pull your pants down, bend you over the table and fuck you hard and fast, as long as he knows you are ok with it.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
Due to the fact that the way he fucks you depends a lot on his mood, he won't have a problem with a quickie.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
He loves to experiment and find new ways to satisfy you, but he doesn't want to take any risks that could hurt you or bring you in danger, no matter which ones.
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
This also depends very much on his mood and how he feels. If he is relaxed and not tormented by many thoughts, he can please you the whole night until you can´t walk the next day.
But if he is stressed, it might also happen that after a few minutes everything is over. But that doesn't mean that he is finished. He always makes sure that you have pleasure too. After all, there are still his fingers and his tongue with which he can drive you crazy.
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
I mean, we're in a postapocalyptic world, right? There aren't many toys, and finding some isn't a priority. But Daryl is also very creative and manages to make you squirm with just simple things like a regular candle or something.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
He is only sometimes teasing you, simply because it is more a torture for him than for you. He desperately wants to hear you moan, feel your trembling, taste your body, so that it´s nearly unbearable for him to tease you really.
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
Daryl isn't someone who is really loud during sex. His panting is quiet and hectic with his hot breath hitting your skin. Before a loud moaning escapes his throat, he buries his face on your body, biting and somehow clinging to you so that his moaning is absorbed by your skin.
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
Come on, we've all looked at it, even if nobody admits it. (I mean, why else would there be a scene in Death Stranding where Sam beats you up after staring at his crotch several times?) I mean, you can tell he's well-built. But based on the fact that there are growers and showers, I think he's pretty average and not unrealistic like a porn actor.
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
Even though he usually lies on top of you and cuddles up to you, he is very cautious that you fall asleep before him. Only when your hand is resting heavily on his shoulder or head, and the caressing through his hair has stopped, he allows himself to fall asleep as well.

Eyes blinking open, Y/n slowly came too. Her vision was blurry, and her head was pounding. Faintly, she could hear someone talking, but her head was too fuzzy to make out who it was and what they were saying. Her vision clearing, she could see a rocky ceiling, which seemed… odd. Was she in a cave?
When she tried to sit up, she found that she couldn’t move. Her arms were trapped against her sides, and her legs were bound together. Groaning quietly, Y/n twisted onto her side. Aang was on the ground a few feet away from her, hands bound behind his back. He didn’t seem… present.
Observing the situation more, she noted the figure that stood at the entrance to what she was assuming was a cave. They were still talking, and her head was finally clear enough to make out what they were saying.
“I don’t need luck though, I don’t want it. I’ve always had to struggle and fight and that’s made me strong. It’s made me who I am.”
Struggling weakly against her bindings, Y/n furrowed her eyebrows together. “..Zuko..?”
His head turned to the side slightly, an acknowledgement that she was awake, but he didn’t turn to face her. “Don’t bother trying to get free, I’ll just knock you out again.” He paused for a short moment. “Sorry about that, I just.. I knew you wouldn’t give up. You never have.”
Zuko had… taken her too. Why…?
Grunting, she continued to struggle against the rope, stopping only when Zuko rested his hand on her arm. “What did I just say? Did I knock you in the head that hard?” Sighing, Zuko settled on the ground next to her. “I’d prefer if you didn’t make me knock you out again. You probably think otherwise but I don’t want to hurt you.”
Opting to stay silent, she shuffled in place. He watched her carefully, before awkwardly looking about once she stopped moving. He took in a deep breath, when she started shuffling again. “Are you.. uncomfortable?” Being met with silence, Zuko glanced at Y/n to see she was looking at him with a blank expression. “I can sit you up, if you want.”
Not receiving an answer once again, he let out an annoyed breath. “Conversations usually go both ways, Y/n.”
Still, she looked at him blankly. “I don’t think people typically converse with their captors, Zuko.”
“Well, we used to be friends!” Crossing his arms with a huff, Zuko slumped against the cave wall. “I guess the key phrase is ‘used to be’, isn’t it?” He clicked his tongue, before breathing out a sigh. “I didn’t capture you to turn you in, we could… still be friends.”
Y/n took on a pensive expression. “Then why..?”
“Why did I capture you..?” Receiving a nod of confirmation, Zuko shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t… I don’t know.”
“You don’t… know..?”
“No! Okay?! I just-” Breathing out another annoyed breath, he dropped his head into his hands. “Why? Why did you leave? I thought… I thought we had each other's backs and… and you just up and leave?! Just like that?! No explanation, no nothing!? So why?!” Continuing to stay silent, Y/n grimaced internally at the rise in Zuko’s volume. The more he spoke, the louder he got. It was almost hard to imagine that this was the boy she grew up with.
Zuko scoffed, shaking his head slightly. “Fine then. It doesn’t matter anyways- You’ve chosen your path.” He let out a laugh, one edging on hysterical. “You know, I thought maybe I could sit here and convince you to come back, but I can see that isn’t going to work… The Avatar and his friends have won your favor.” He was silent for a moment, seemingly calming down from his outburst. “Uncle told me that I shouldn’t be mad at you, that I should respect your decision to find your own path. How can I do that when your so-called path is going against me?”
Before Zuko could continue, Aang came too, returning from the spirit world. Attention turned to the boy, when he started to struggle against his bonds. After a short moment of futile struggle, he sat up to face Zuko.
“Welcome back.”
“Good to be back.” Aang spoke with a threatening tone, blinding reaching around with his hands- which were tied behind his back -to try and find Y/n’s wrist. Once he was able to grab onto her wrist, he took in a deep breath and blew Zuko away from them while simultaneously shooting both him and Y/n out of the cave. The two landed in the snow outside, where Aang started to caterpillar crawl.
It didn’t take long for Zuko to get to them, grabbing Aang by the collar and lifting him in the air once he did. “That won’t be enough to escape.”
Suddenly, Appa appeared above them, before landing on the ground. Y/n breathed out a sigh of relief. Katara got off the bison, as Zuko dropped Aang back into the snow. “Here for a rematch?”
“Trust me, Zuko, it’s not going to be much of a match.”
Katara blocked a fireball Zuko shot at her, sending a wave of ice towards him. Once the ice reached him, she encased him in a pillar of ice that she raised high from the ground. When she dropped him, he fell to the ground unconscious.
Sokka jumped off of Appa, rushing over to Aang to cut his bonds. “Hey! This is some quality rope!” He commented, before moving to Y/n to free her as well.
“We need to get to the oasis! The spirits are in trouble!” Aang got up, and ran to Appa, while Sokka helped Y/n to her feet.
Everyone was on the bison, ready for take off, but Aang hesitated on leaving, looking towards Zuko’s knocked out form. “Wait, we can’t just leave him here.”
“Sure we can. Let’s go.”
Y/n shook her head softly. “No, Aang’s right, we can’t leave him. He could die.”
Aang jumped off Appa, and grabbed Zuko to bring him up onto the bison. Sokka watched him with a somewhat exasperated expression. “Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. Let’s bring the guy who’s constantly trying to kill us!”
As they started to fly back to the Spirit Oasis, the moon changed to a blood red, casting a red light over everything. This seemed to affect Yue, who held her head in pain, letting out a groan.
Sokka looked at her concerned. “Are you okay?”
“I feel faint.”
Aang, with a hand to his head, looked at the moon. “I feel it too. The Moon Spirit is in trouble.”
Yue glanced at the moon as well. “I owe the Moon Spirit my life.”
“What do you mean?” Sokka questioned.
“When I was born I was very sick and very weak. Most babies cry when they’re born… But I was born as if I were asleep. My eyes closed. Our healers did everything they could. They told my mother and father I was going to die. My father pleaded with the spirits to save me… that night, beneath the full moon, he brought me to the oasis and placed me in the pond. My dark hair turned white, I opened my eyes and began to cry- and they knew I would live. That’s why my mother named me Yue, for the moon.”
They neared the oasis as Yue finished her story, to find Zhao there- a bag in hand and Momo on his head trying to stop him from what he was doing. The group got off Appa when he landed, sans Yue and Zuko, ready to fight Zhao and the other Fire Nation soldiers in the oasis.
“Don’t bother!” Zhao held a knife to the bag he had, which must have had the Moon Spirit trapped inside.
Aang dropped his staff, raising his hands in surrender. “Zhao! Don’t!”
“It’s my destiny… to destroy the Moon… and the Water Tribe.”
Y/n glared at the man, resisting her urge to attack him. “You’re insane.”
“Destroying the moon won’t just hurt the Water Tribe. It will hurt everyone- including you. Without the moon, everything would fall out of balance. You have no idea what kind of chaos that would unleash on the world.” Aang tried to reason with him, but Y/n wasn’t sure words alone would stop the man.
“He is right, Zhao!” Heads turned to Iroh, as he approached.
“General Iroh, why am I not surprised to discover your treachery?” Zhao spoke in a bored tone.
Iroh lowered his hood. “I’m no traitor, Zhao, the Fire Nation needs the moon too. We all depend on the balance.”
Unsurprisingly, Zhao continued to hold his threat on the Moon Spirit, the knife he held at the bag it was captive in not dropping.
“Whatever you do to that spirit I’ll unleash on you ten-fold!” Iroh pointed a finger at Zhao, before taking on a firebending stance. “LET IT GO, NOW!”
After a moment of stillness, Zhao faltered, lowering the bag. He kneeled and released the fish of the Moon Spirit back into the pond. The red light casted from the moon returned back to normal.
Seeing something move in the corner of her eye, Y/n’s attention moved to the right, just in time for her to see a figure sneaking away. Careful not to draw attention to herself, she followed after them, noting that Zuko was missing from Appa’s saddle as she snuck by. He was taking the chance to sneak away, while everyone was focused on Zhao. If she had anything to say about it, he wouldn’t be getting far.
In her pursuit, the moon fell dark, probably thanks to Zhao. It’s not a surprise that he would try and kill the moon spirit, even after letting it go. Keeping her distance and staying as hidden as she can, Y/n continued to follow Zuko- Only stopping when he did. Eyebrows furrowing together, she watched as he shot a blast of flames to a lower area from where they stood- Which was shot at Zhao.
The man stopped in his steps, looking up at Zuko incredulously. “You’re alive?”
“You tried to have me killed!”
He shot several more blasts at Zhao, which he was able to dodge. When he tried to run off in the other direction, Y/n moved quickly to grab her bow and an arrow, shooting it at the ground in front of him. Both Zhao and Zuko were shocked by this, not having noticed her before.
“You tried to have him killed?!”
Zhao’s gaze darted between the two, before primarily focusing on Zuko. “Yes, I did. You’re the Blue Spirit- and enemy of the Fire Nation! You freed the Avatar!” Pausing, he pointed to Y/n. “And her!” His words dripped with venom.
“I had no choice!”
Zuko fired several more attacks at Zhao, while Y/n readied an arrow- though she waited to shoot it until the right moment. Zhao avoided the attacks, removing and dropping his smoking cloak as they subsided. “You should have chosen to accept your failure- your disgrace! Then, at least you could have lived.”
Returning the fire, the two end up in a short exchange of attacks, before Zuko blasted Zhao in the chest, knocking him down. Having seemed to realize Y/n was waiting for the right moment for attack, Zuko glanced at her. “Now.”
Though she didn’t need his signal- In quick succession she fired two arrows at Zhao, one pinning his sleeve to the ground, the other pinning his pant leg. The two jumped down to the lower level Zhao was, landing on either side of him as he struggled to free his clothes from the arrows. Zuko took on a firebending stance, while Y/n pulled another arrow through her bow. They both waited to attack, watching the man carefully.
Finally wiggling the arrow free from his shirt sleeve, he scoffed, looking between the two. “Two traitors working together again, hm? I’m not surprised at this point.”
Y/n narrowed her eyes when the Admiral quit trying to wiggle the arrow pinning his pant leg down free, quickly pivoting on her heel at realization. Twisting to the side, she narrowly dodged the arrow when he threw it at her. This initiated the fight once again, Zuko sending a relentless stream of attacks. Realizing her bow wasn’t going to get her anywhere in a close range fight, Y/n hooked it away onto her quiver, running at Zhao while he traded fire blasts with Zuko. She grabbed onto his arm as he tried to send an attack at the prince, yanking it to the side so the blast shot to the right. He twisted his other arm to send a fireball right into her face, which she was able to duck away from as she released his arm. The momentary distraction gave Zuko the opening to shoot a powerful blast at Zhao, knocking him back a bit.
Unable to keep his attention on both of them at once, Y/n was able to swipe her leg at his ankles while he was focused on Zuko, knocking him down. Not relenting, Zhao shot a blast at Y/n, catching her off guard and knocking her down. She rolled out of the way of another blast, before Zuko helped her off the ground- While firing at Zhao. The two looked at each other briefly, sharing a nod.
Running at Zhao once again, Y/n twisted, ducked and dodged the attacks sent at her, while also giving room for Zuko to send his own blasts at the man. Once close enough, she started throwing punches at Zhao, taking his attention in the fight. The close proximity of the fight didn’t stop him from using his fire, leaving parts of her clothes to be singed. She ducked when he tried to punch her with a blazing fist, giving the opening for Zuko to send another powerful blast at Zhao, knocking him down once again.
He didn’t get up this time, rather looking past the two with a horror ridden expression. “It can’t be!”
Furrowing her eyebrows, Y/n turned to see what he was looking at- The moon. In the heat of the battle, she hadn’t noticed it started to shine bright once again.
Suddenly, water rose up coalescing around the bridge they were on, taking the form of a large fish like creature. It reached out and grabbed Zhao, pulling him off the bridge. He struggled against it, before Zuko reached out to him. “Take my hand!”
For a moment, it seemed like he was going to grasp onto Zuko’s hand, but instead drew back- an expression of hate taking over his features. Zhao was taken under the surface of the water, disappearing. Crossing her arms, Y/n looked at the surface of the water in near disbelief.
Silence lingered in the air, it only being broken when Zuko quietly cleared his throat. Looking up from the surface of the water, she glanced over at him. He took a minute, before speaking up.
“Listen, Y/n… I’m… sorry. For everything. I- Ugh, what am I even trying to say here.”
She raised an eyebrow in amusement. “That you’re sorry?”
“Yes- Wait, I already said that..” He breathed out a sigh, holding a hand to his forehead. Laughing softly, she held out her hand.
“Truce?”
He hesitated for a moment, before grasping onto her hand, a soft smile tugging up his lips. “Truce.”
Tugging him a step closer, Y/n put an arm around his neck, bringing him into a hug. Zuko tensed at the action, but returned it nonetheless.
“We can still be friends..” Mumbling quietly, she broke away from the hug. “But I need to get back to them.”
“I.. understand.” He paused. “Actually, no, I don’t. But… I won’t stop you.”
Offering a small smile, she slipped past him, intending to go back to the oasis. She stopped on the way there, however, seeing that her friends were gathered. Katara waved her over, inviting her into the group hug they were currently sharing. Running over, she joined them, a wide smile on her face.
---
Sea water gently splashed up against the sides of the boat, spraying past the railings. The more Y/n sat with her back against them, her head leaned back, the more the back of her shirt and her hair dampened from the water. Eyes closed, she took in a deep breath. With her terrible track record on boats, she didn’t know that being out at sea could be so… relaxing.
“Can’t sleep?”
She shook her head softly in response. “You can’t either?”
Sokka breathed out a quiet, somewhat tense, laugh. “No..” He paused for a short moment. “Do you mind?”
Opening her eyes to see that he was motioning to the space on the deck next to her, Y/n offered a soft smile. “Not at all.”
Muttering a small thanks, he gave a weak smile in return, before settling down next to her. He sat close enough for their shoulders to press together, the close proximity made her heart race.
Silence lingered over them for a long moment, before Y/n spoke up. “I heard what happened… With Yue.”
Breathing out a soft sigh, Sokka tilted his head back, looking up at the moon. “Yeah… I figured you would.”
“I’m sorry for bringing it up but- I just wanted to say if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m always right here.”
“Thanks..” He paused for a moment. “You know, I went to that shop you were working at once when you weren’t there. I was trying to catch you there, that… didn’t work out- Obviously.” He breathed out a quiet chuckle, digging into his coat pocket. “But I did meet that lady you worked for, and she asked me to make sure this got to you.” He held out a bracelet, the one she’d been looking at in the shop before she started working there.
Her eyes widened slightly. “I forgot about that.”
“That’s why she asked me to give it to you. Let me see your wrist.” He tied the bracelet around her wrist, once she held it out to him.
“Thanks.” She spoke with a smile, twisting her wrist slightly causing the stone to glint in the moonlight.
“It’s no problem.” Smirking, he took on a slightly teasing tone. “I didn’t expect you to be a jewelry person.”
Pressing a hand to her chest, she feigned an over exaggerated offence. “Just because I lived in a forest and can fight better than you doesn’t mean I can’t like girly things.”
He looked at her offended. “You cannot fight better than me!” She leaned a bit closer to him, raising an eyebrow. “You wanna test that theory?”
Falling silent, he gulped. “No, I think I’m good.”
They were both quiet, before breaking into a short fit of laughter. Leaning back against the boat's railing, Y/n hugged one of her knees to her chest.
Once again, silence fell over them. After a few moments, a sudden weight was on her shoulder. Tensing slightly, she looked to the side, to see that Sokka had fallen asleep- His head now leaning on her shoulder. She opened her mouth to wake him up, but stopped herself.
Something in her didn’t want to wake him up… The closeness was… Nice.
Letting her eyes fall closed, she leaned her head back, absentmindedly fiddling with the bracelet tied around her wrist. She felt so calm, but still her heart raced, and she wasn’t sure why.
With certain thoughts and memories coming to mind, however, the pieces started to fit together.
And it was in that moment, Y/n realized.
