WARNING: angst, jaegyon is red flag, gender neutral reader

“I dug my key into the side (into the side), of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive. Carved my name into his leather seats. I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights (both headlights), slashed a hole in all four tires. Maybe next time, he'll think before he cheats…”

“Baby please it was an honest mistake” he says nonchalantly on the phone. You can hear him drive in that stupid car if his.

“Honest, HONEST?!?! What me seeing you with another girl in the car was an “Honest” mistake Jaegyon?!

“Oh cmon , it was probably another guy-“ “What, some other guy has another car that has another red and blue car that states NO MORE CONFIRM on their car, REALLY?” You say over the phone clearly pissed as you packed your shit. He tried to make an excuse but failed to do so.

You just leave his apartment as you make sure you had everything before throwing the key he gave you on the couch as you take your luggage to your own car. A nice silver Porsche your father had gaved you after you finished your exams. Throwing it in the trunk as you start your car. Before driving off, blocking him on every platform. Huffing as you start the engine and drive off.

The reader might think, “oh she must be so sad, or is she gonna get revenge. “They’re totally gonna get back together and she will shit on his heart.” Well in my own logic(lol) here is how to went:

She fully speeds as she arrives at a secluded beach. Parking her car as she angrily smokes. Grumbling on how she fell for his stupid face, or how he looked like some people that she knew(ahem ahem DG, Eli, and Johan) as she crushes the cigarette under her heel.

She put up a plan that will ensure her revenge and possibly not end up in jail.

She comes up with a couple of strategies

1. Scratch his car - nah she doesn’t wanna get sued

2. Cheat on him? - too much work

3. Find the bitch who slept with him - she’s probably big or something and will probably get sued

4. Block him and never speak to him again - she’s already doing that

There’s another solution: Get a better look and shit on him with her new looks - sounds better and is easier(and also legal)

“So that’s it!” She says out loud. She drives to her own separate home and get ready. Watching different YouTube videos for I don’t know, maybe an hour before finding the perfect video. Then getting a different outfit as she texts up a friend she knows and ask him about that car race meet up spot that she knows that jaegyon will be at and they agree.

The following week comes up and she’s with her friend as they went to who knows where as she flaunts her new looks. Form her hair, makeup, outfit, and heels as she finds a spot for her Nissan Silvia s13 in a big spot as the other people admire her.

She talks with them as she talks about her car when she sees him in the other side next to two girls at his side as he talks to some of his friends. His friends caught up and whisper to him as he notices you and glanced your way sometimes. You only ignored them as you chill with the other car owners, some of them being friendly

There was an announcement where there would be a race. Your ears perked up and headed over there as you see your good friend participating against, a very oddly familiar car. Oh shit it’s his car isn’t it

You walk to your friends side as you warm them up and he gave you thumbs up as you see a swarm of girls near his side. Ugh

After the race was over your friend won and you congratulated him. As you head to your car you hear yelling and see Jaegyon come towards you. In a panic you drive away and far as you could as you head home.

You sit at him as you wash your makeup when you heard your doorbell ring. Running over you open the door and met up with a tall blondie. Jaegyon…

He just looks at you before excusing himself in

“What the hell are you doing here” you asked a bit pissed

“Came here to say sorry…” he says. Looking away

“Well I don’t want your apology so get out”

“But-“”No buts, out!” You point to your door and shut it. Sighing in relief as you sat back down as you just finished your relationship

Is it time for me to foam at the mouth about one of Silver's most batshit insane decisions in the entire show?

(So the ramble underneath this is literally 2k, so like, make good choices I guess. also pls imagine me as Pepe Silvia meme the entire time)

So I see people talking a lot about how Silver is fucking deranged bonkers banana cakes he has 10,000 snakes in his head instead of a brain and of course I agree this is just Canon.

However, the moments that we focus on are like 3.3, doldrums talking to Billy about Flint controlling reality when he's starving and dehydrated or like what he says in response in 3.10 when Flint tells him his story, about Thomas.

Both of those are very very good moments for Silver being fucking crazy and saying things out loud with his human mouth that no regular unfucked human being would come up with, he set new RECORDS for it, agreed.

TODAY I want to talk about a different moment, what I think is the most egregious example of Derangement. It's in the Silver-Flint gold conversation in 2.7.

Quick context-- Before Silver meets back up with Flint in 2.7 he was sent after a VERYYYY dissatisfying conversation (aka "the gold is still a priority" where Silver challenges Flint on the Vane and the fort and Abigail Ashe plan and Flint lies to his face) to go influence the men to vote for Flint's side of things over Hornigold's. After dealing with the Logan situation in the middle of that (which I don't actually think Flint ever finds out about Silver helping to cover that shit up, but that's not the point right now) he shows back up right in the middle of Hornigold addressing the pirate council and accusing Flint of a bunch of crimes (most of which are accurate lol) and Flint is Angy about "where the fuck has you [Silver] been?" and Silver tells him (loud enough for the entire council to hear mmhmm) that the gold is gone.

Now the order of the scenes, the timeline, means The Reveal about the gold is with Max later, (right, that later is the point it becomes real for us because we're finding out the same as Max's that Silver has made the gold disappear) and so it's hard to keep in mind until a second watch how the entire time there in the tent and Silver is putting on this performance, such a good show about it the whole time and then he goes and talks and gives the speech to the whole fucking combined crew and that entire time we don't know yet.

But Silver knows. He has already engineered a situation where he has convinced to the scouts that they're going to sell the location of the gold to another crew!! He has already removed the Urca gold from right under Flint's nose!! (Which is like the thing that Flint has been working towards for an unknown amount of years since he found out about it right? This thing, this sort of mythical amount of money, which is going to solve problems and effect change and build a future and fulfill Thomas ideals.)

And while he's talking he has already waved his hand and made it disappear in the narrative and he did it so skillfully that we don't even suspect that this is happening until the reveal and so sometimes it's hard to go back and think about the 2.7 tent conversation.

Potentially it doesn't quite HIT on the first watch. Maybe not even the second.

But yeah what I want to draw attention to is that... this ENTIRE TIME, from the moment Silver shows back up, he is putting on the performance of his fucking life. He's ALREADY met the scouts Vincent and Nicholas on the jetty, he's ALREADY convinced them ON THE FLY ON A WHIM to lie to Captain Flint. He's ALREADY coached them through exactly what to say to sell it, to lie to Captain James Flint's fucking face. right??? and THEN only after that does he goes to meet Flint.

And the very specific thing I am focusing on isn't even THAT gamble, which is fucking SCARY CRAZY ALREADY. But the WAY this boy pulls the bluff out, the lengths he goes to during the next convo in the tent about "there is no we. the gold was the inducement" and all that. You know the scene.

I wanna underline how Silver decides midstream, midargument to... FLIP IT AROUND and accuse Flint of making the gold disappear.... when Silver literally just made the gold disappear.

Silver: I believe I've been clear about the nature of my investment here. The gold was the inducement. Now no gold… Flint: It's an unfortunate development that we have to adapt, and quickly. Silver: Adapt? I've had about my fill of adapting lately. Doing your bidding, keeping the crew in line for you. Flint: I wasn't the only one to benefit from that. Silver: It certainly seemed that way. Even now you're the only one benefitting from it. Flint: What are you saying, that I'm benefitting from the gold having disappeared? Silver: It certainly solved a number of problems for you, didn't it? I have half a mind to wonder if you didn't orchestrate this whole thing to your advantage.

So yeah I'm uh, I'm literally foaming im frothing im cappucino right now. I want to put this UNDER THE MICROSCOPE AND STUDY HIM. what in the FUCK. Silver knows the entire time, this ENTIRE EXCHANGE, that not only is the gold still on the beach but that he is gonna fucking SELL THE LOCATION to Max and Rackham. And then sits there cool as a fucking cucumber with his mask of irritability...(because of course if he had nothing to do with it!!) Like of course he would be mad that the gold is gone, because the gold was the inducement RIGHT.

All of the rest of that is a foundation for like the craziest part isn't necessarily that he's putting on the act That's in keeping with him, we've seen that, we saw that he was getting more and more frustrated and that part doesn't surprise us that like he would... I mean we saw him steal the page and we saw him burn the page and we have seen him make these types of kind of batshit decisions so we're like "okay this this checks out."

But the truly deranged part where it goes beyond like it just like they're like literally... he. he. HE ACCUSES FLINT OF THE THING HE JUST DID. There was no reason for you to say that and at this point it's like he is SEEING how CLOSE he can get to the fire, he is seeing how much RISK can be pulled off. He's getting off on poking and sleeping dragon in the eye when he knows very well the entire time that he stole the fucking dragon's gold.

"I have half a mind to wonder if you didn't orchestrate this whole thing to your advantage."

I--

it's... it's some reverse psychology bluffing gamble, it's "let me say what has happened, let me literally ADMIT WHAT I JUST DID but no YOU did it, I projected it onto YOU. hope that you don't think about that too hard. let me hope that this works out"

There was... THERE WAS JUST NO REASON FOR IT. He was already pulling it off, the conversation was. "There is no we" and "I was clear about the nature of my investment" THAT'S ENOUGH. STOP.

there's just no reason for him to have done that but it's because he's fucking crazy he's a crazy person

The way his brain works just does not follow lines of logic like a sane human being!!

FURTHER POINT--

this is how we also get to the point where he convinces himself to go to Charles Town (because we see him go to Charlestown!! we see him on the ship the next time!! in 2.8!!)

and he says to the scouts that, yknow, paraphrasing "we came on this endeavor in order to allay suspicion about the fact that we have all double crossed this crew that we are sailing with right now including Flint"

now the thing about that is that and I think I've mentioned this before, but I don't know if I've said it in a formal post that so many people had defected/deserted because the gold was gone and they had no appetite for storming the fort after that. And then Silver went and convinced to the rest of the crew remaining to go to Charlestown to seek the pardons right and that's what Flint wanted him to do. So if Silver then defected because the gold was indeed the inducement and there was no gold then I don't think Flint would have fucking batted an eye!!!

And neither would anyone else!! because even though Silver is very useful to Flint as a tool right now, Flint was very mission-focused, very Miranda-focused very pardons-focused, very "let's fulfill Thomas's dream"-focused. So even though he does and has needed Silver a lot recently to influence the crew, I don't think he was really thinking about him basically for two-three episodes after that basically. Cuz they don't talk again, right, and they are just not in each other's orbit for 2.8, 2.9, 2.10.

So what that tells me is that Silver goes to Charlestown and he just... really didn't have to he could have stayed in Nassau and assisted Max or just laid low until the gold got retrieved and then potentially taking his share and left before Flint crew got back!!

I've talked about this specific part before where Silver says that their safety is contingent upon whether Flint is successful in his endeavor or not. Like he says that out loud to Vincent (which is the most bat ship banana cakes bonkers thing ever) about it because he's basically hitched his horse to the outcome of this pardon situation when he absolutely didn't have to do that to get the goal he and the scouts could have all just deserted and no one would have been the wiser because so many crew had, including Dufresne, because of the gold situation!!

Now there's some arguments here about well.... one of our main characters cannot just leave.

But because the writers have created a party member who wants to leave the party what they then keep having to do is invent more and more convoluted mental gymnastics to himself to continue staying and following Flint which is why at the end of the day I sort of can't really see a situation where the Silverflint thing is not like the main thing because they're both obsessed with each other in different ways (and Silver is obsessed first because he doesn't fucking leave and there's a bunch of reasons he should and there's a bunch of chances for him to do so) and so it all starts to look real fucking gay

But yes uh circling back... Silver lies to Flint's fucking face about the gold, going so far as to ACCUSE HIM of making it disappear, then goes on an extremely dangerous errand trapped on a ship full of people who he double crossed with two scouts with loose lips... when, in order to guarantee his future, if we're looking at actual real logic and actual real pragmatism and survival instincts and not just "oh I have to follow Flint because ummmm -dial up sounds-",

Then he should have stayed in Nassau.

Oof- I should have worded that better ("wrong").I don't think there's anything anyone could have done to deserve said treatment. I was wondering if Severines parent like overcontrolling authoritarians with the carrot and stick and will lash out if they do anything that doesn't line up with "Severines values". But basically it's do anything and everything to pit your children against each other even if they both get full marks?

Also, Was Alette even capable of loving either of them? Did she secretly resent her children like Athalie did or was she completely apathetic in general? Also since Selene was nanny how much effort did she actually put in to raising them?

askldfja no you worded it fine i just can't read LOL (also please be assured i'm not angry or annoyed by any questions I just sort of get on a train of thought and sort of blindly start typing out stuff which is just a large amount of words I'm not injecting any tone into) I'd say that Alette and Athalie are both authoritarians but Athalie was more the type to lash out/pin down/suppress vs Alette was more likely to neglect/withhold/disown. Much more "if you're good you'll get good things. So you will feel the absence of my love/affection if you're bad." compared to Athalies "if you're good then I wont yell at you. If you're very good I might tell you you're doing a good job. maybe"

Alette might have been capable... if she cared. She sincerely didn't care about her kids as like... kids. She cared about them (or at least cared about Abrielle) she felt that they were interesting little projects.

Selene was good about taking care of all their basic needs food/clothes/etc etc and she did her best to be gentle with them but if any kid (like athalie or sophia) didn't respond well to a quieter attitude then she wasn't very good at adapting to that. She cares deeply and does her best but she doesn't have the fighting spirit necessary to actually call them out on shitty behavior or putting herself in harms way to protect them the way that Silvia is. Growing up with Alette she found the safest thing was to be as small and unobtrusive as possible.

Okay, I'm sorry because I know I already talked about this on webtoon but I am shaking your hand SO HARD for coming up with That name for Bag Girl.

Lyss's full name is Elyssabeth, which is derived from Elisabeth. Elisabeth is connected with Isabel/Isabella, or Bell for short if one were so inclined. This is a very cool way to show Bell's connection to Lyss while keeping them as two distinct people.

Also, the idea of choosing a name associated with sweet, pleasant sounds for a mute character who's only recently started coming out of her shell and finding her "voice" (both via becoming more talkative and writing more, and via Rex teaching her sign language so she doesn't have to rely on the notebook as much) and turning out to be such a sweet, lovely lass with so much to say is just really cool. She's not hiding behind a paper bag anymore, she's here and and she's wonderful and she's got things to say!

Also, as some people have pointed out in the comments, possible Beauty and the Beast undertones with her and Rex maybe potentially possibly mayhap.

All in all, I had no idea what name you'd end up giving Baggles, or if she'd even get one in the first place, so Bell was an absolutely delightful surprise that swept me off my feet! It's got such a lovely ring to it and the fact that it was Rex's idea is just... so him. Blank Lyss? Blyss? Bee ell??? Hmm, Bell! That sounds good! Another hit from the guy who named his dog Shnee.

Bottom line: I LOVED this new chapter!

So uhhh... I'm happy that her name happened to be so fitting in all the ways you explained...but truthfully I named her exactly how Rex did LOL.

Kind of literally... I think if /I/ had named her, she would have been named something else. In all honesty, I'm not super crazy about the name Bell (tho I'm glad everyone else likes it!). But it wasn't /me/ naming her, it was Rex, so I had to name her something that Rex would come up with, and honestly she's lucky she wasn't named something like Lyss 2 or Shnee 2 or Shnoo. Naming her "Bell" through basically the same means as that Family Guy "Pea... Tear... Griffin" gag is just the only thing that felt on brand for Rex, while still giving her a respectable name.

Fun fact, I also seriously considered naming her Marty, short for Martella. I actually...still kinda prefer that one personally, but I had a feeling it wouldn't be as popular. Also, Bell ended up working out w/ her design bc if you look at her s4 design, it's very intentionally bell shaped!

Omg I think a media inspired mlist would be so fun!! I hope you like daisy Jones and the six!! And yes billy esp in the beginning is such an asshole. I think in the book he has a little bit more depth to the character that the show misses out on slightly but either way the things he put camilla through smh

as for book recs.. some of my all time favorite books are chemistry by weike wang, nothing to see here by kevin wilson, I’ll give you the sun by jandy nelson (YA), and fire and graceling by kristin cashore. all of those books I love love so much and reread all the time. some other recs (not sure what kind of genre or style you like so just spit balling here but) a thousand splendid suns by khaled hosseini, joy luck club by amy tan, children of blood and bone by tomi adeyami (YA fantasy, read it right before I wrote oasis (idk if you’ve read that piece) so there are some similarities between that world and the oasis world, I’m sure), and mexican gothic by silvia moreno garcia!!

im not as much as an avid reader as i once was but am trying to get back to it lol. but if you end up reading any of these def lemme know what you think!

My favorite that I've read this year so far is either Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield or maybe Silver Nitrate by Silvia Moreno-Garcia.

My fave YA options I don't see people talk about too often are Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand, The Girl From the Well by Rin Chupeco and Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare.

Fave I think is a little underrated: Cackle by Rachel Harrison. Oh and also In the Shadow of Spindrift House and Into the Drowning Deep (and it's prequel, Rolling in the Deep) by Mira Grant (aka Seanan McGuire).

Also, I have to shout out Carmilla by J. Sheridan Le Fanu, A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson, and The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black for vampire stories that aren't sweet, lovey romance.

And my fave middle grade horror right now is probably the Small Spaces series by Katherine Arden.

When Silvia and Roberto (her living dad) parted ways--right before Silvia went to the Neath and Roberto left for British Honduras--Silvia promised she'd come back to the Surface soon.

Now that she's died in the Neath, well, that promise will be harder to keep. Silvia is tormented by the possibility that the last thing she told her father was maybe untrue.

29. Do they usually live up to their own ideals?

Silvia's ideals are impossible to live up to. Just by virtue of owning a ship that her employees don't co-own, and buying multiple dresses, and researching instead of campaigning, she's a horrible person. There's a lot of dissonance of the cognitive variety floating around for her lol

OTP for your muse? Have you any old muses that you’d love to bring back? Are there any AU’s you’d like to explore but haven’t had the chance to yet?

An OTP (One True Pair) [I had to look it up, lol!] Hmm...for Bryn, he had one, and lost one, and gained one much later down the line. They both tie into his story and life, one who he saved from Garlean capture. Now Kaleh'a...okay so I'm playing through Shadowbringers right now and the energy that he and Alisaie have is just too good. I like to think she's his OTP in a good friend's kind of way. Romance is his strong suit, but he's a bit of Keeper. He's still looking for that one female figure who would be the center of his family.

I did mention her before, but there is another Quickdraw! Her last name is shared by reverence, not by blood, and while Silvia is doing a different kind of tracking, she hopes her name will be just as famous as the hunter before her. Who knows, maybe she will show up!

Oh man, so many! Harry Potter came to mind pretty quickly, but also Lord of the Rings, myriad of different shows and anime, book series like ACoTaR, Eragon, etc, so many interesting fantasy and non-fantasy worlds out there! I mean...maybe possibly even Supernatural... I need to watch it first.

it’s january 31st if you can believe it… scary! kicking off the 2023 reading wrap up, how did your first month of reading go? what did you read, how do you feel about it, and what’s on your horizon for february? 😋🤭

I totally can believe it because january is always such a non-month to me like I feel that 2023 has only Now just started ykwim... no disrespect to january though ofc 🙏 in fact, it was a very fruitful month of reads! I'm really loving theory/criticism-leaning nonfiction that requires more of my time & discipline to mull over - it feels rewarding when I finally fully process something and am able to cross-reference essays/ideas with films I'm watching or just in general conversations with friends but ANYWHO!

Nobody Knows My Name by James Baldwin

my 2nd Baldwin essay collection but I think I loved it even more than Notes of a Native Son (though maybe it’s just because it’s fresh in my mind) - I’m glad I’m reading his collections chronologically because I feel like I can discern the ways he polishes/sharpens his thought process over time. it’s impossible to pick a favorite essay bc I took notes on practically every single one, but a few standouts: Fifth Avenue, Uptown; A Fly in the Buttermilk; In Search of a Majority; The Northern Protestant; The Black Boy Looks at the White Boy (“it was the dream of love which was ending. I was beginning to realize, most unwillingly, all the things love could not do. It could not make me over, for example. It could not undo the journey which had made of me such a strange man and brought me to such a strange place.”)

The Dylan Dog Case Files by Tiziano Sclavi

FINALLY finished her omg so fun and funny and witty and the illustrations are gorgeous, I’m heartbroken that this is the only (printed) collection in English!! Supposedly James Wan is adapting it into a live-action series but that was announced in 2019 and I haven’t seen anything abt it since </3 will be crossing fingers and toes until further notice

Little Boy: The Arts of Japan’s Exploding Subculture by Takashi Murakami

Really amazing + thorough analysis of the aftermath of war and its effects on Japanese art. Loved the dissections of consumerism/commercialization and the western-induced infantilization of tragedy/societal collapse, the framing of Japan’s postwar purgatory as ‘little boy syndrome’, the double-edged sword of grieving and processing through "cute”/”innocent” images only for it be turned into a spectacle gutted of its roots. death to the western empire truly!!! this was like a perfect intersection of my studies in college so I��m surprised I’ve only now just come across this - brb emailing some old professors 👩‍💻 Favorite essays were Beyond the Pleasure Room to a Chaotic Street by Midori Matsui, Introducing Little Boy by Alexandra Munroe, and the Otaku Talk discussion between Toshio Okada and Kaichirō Morikawa (moderated by Murakami)

Against Interpretation and Other Essays by Susan Sontag

I’ve had this collecting dust on my shelf for Years bc the camp met gala made me avoid it out of spite LOL but finally I got over my bitter haggish ways and read it and thank god bc it ruled 🫀 I love a book that acts as a syllabus in a way, leading me down rabbit holes of theorists or media I might not have otherwise gotten to anytime soon. I also just loved how articulate and decisive she is with her opinions/analysis and how effortlessly her contextualizations come across - I feel like when I try to connect themes and ideas from different sources I just come across like Charlie’s Pepe Silvia moment in IASIP 😵‍💫 The On Camp essay was in fact very good (-_-) but I also really enjoyed The Artist as Exemplary Sufferer, Spiritual Style in the Films of Robert Bresson, The Imagination of Disaster, and Happenings: An Art of Radical Juxtaposition

currently reading Junky by William S. Burroughs, God’s Beauty Parlor by Stephen D. Moore, and I’ve just picked up/started June Jordan’s collected poetry from the library which is 600+ pages so I don’t know that I can anticipate for much more this month but we’ll see 🧘‍♀️

Currently Watching: Zom100, Undead Unluck, Dark Gathering, JJK, Arknights s2, Spy X Family, and Hikikomari, mostly best friend's picks but I'm happy to watch anything with them.

Currently Consuming: BLOOOOOD of the damned. I had to with how dA core this feels. Otherwise, a glass of water? I guess. Really captures the dA vibe of 'what, while I'm answering the ask game?'

Currently Craving: Affection. I'd give up ten years of lifespan for some tbh.

I remember a few years back in some interview the developers said Adrestia was influenced by Roman Empire?

I'm studying history and learning about it, reading some of your posts reminded me of something we learnt: The Latin phrase for high ranking citizen is "patricius" which comes from the Latin word for father/pater. Our professor basically said Roman's didn't consider children or women to be citizens.

So Adrestia is based on the Roman Empire and it's super duper progressive...Makes sense to me /s

That being said, let's say Antique Civilisations weren't that preoccupied with sexim and gender equality, and Rome is a perfect exemple hahaha.

In a family, the father "pater familias" had all rights over his wife (literal who ?) and his children (even if they had peepees!) who weren't, like your professor said, full citizens like him (women could still own property, but citizenship varied a lot during Rome).

Hopefully, we evolved and now women can be citizens !

Back to Fodlan, while FEs have never been 1:1 perfectly historically accurate (even if Kaga sexism for Hellenistic Archanea (have you seen pantless Marth) was fitting lol) and much like CoS and Roman Catholic Church, the comparison is just mere esthetics - Adrestia seems really, at least to some extent, backwards in various domains compared to their fated enemy, Faerghus, and even GM.

We don't hear about child prostitution in Faerghus (count Rowe seems to be an exception), in Adrestia, we have Mittelfrank.

Women cannot inherit a thing in Adrestia, even if they are crested, they need to marry. Meanwhile, Ingrid is Galatea's heir.

So while I'm not sure who had more "value", a roman woman or woman living under Clovis's era, at least in Fodlan, Faerghus women can be heirs, something that is not possible in Adrestia (if Mercie's situation was any indication).

As for names, I usually don't try to think too much about it because it's the Final Fantasy Rule of Cool to use "foreign" names to look cool and exotic -

But I can see it lol, just like Rhea was the name of a titan, but also of the woman (Rhea Silvia) who gave birth to Remus and Romulus, the mythical founders of Rome who were nursed by a wolf in the legend!

Fodlan's Rhea helped a loser create Adrestia, and that loser's son is named after the greek name for "wolf". Coincidence? Maybe!

There's also a myth about Adrestia being a Nymph Rhea (the titan!) asked to nurture her son Zeus... And then Hresvelg is iirc the norse for "corpse swallower", a giant in the shape of an eagle lol

What I'm saying is that I'm totes not on copium trying to HC stuff about the WoH based on names alone, and I'm totally not tyring to find a last lifeline the devs could have hanged on as Hresvelg Tea flooded IS's studios.

Was Enbarr a Republic before Willy became Emperor ? Did Rhea politely asked him to ban slavery in the Empire? Did Adrestia offer citizenship to the conquered territories to make sure they wouldn't revolt? Did Willy pull an edict of caracalla offering full citizenship to everyone and Enbarrites weren't happy at all? What happened to Lycaon ? Can we still find coliseums in Faerghus nowadays?
