“PORTGAS D. ACE” your voice resonates through all the walls, rooms and every nook and cranny from the Moby Dick. The mentioned stood frozen at the dinner table fork still full of food, he knew better than to run away

“What did you do now?” Marco asked eyes wide open

“Nothing!… that I remember” Ace scratched the back of his head trying to make memory of his recent activities, searching for whatever may had upset you

Marco laughed in disbelief “You’re a dead man” he said before taking another sip of his drink

You entered the room, stomping your way to your clueless boyfriend “May I have a word with you?” The tone and the politeness of the sentence made Marco fear for his dear friend. Ace nodded before he stood up and followed behind smile beaming in hopes you’ll have some mercy. A chorus of teasing ‘UUUUH’s were heard as you exited the dining room.

“Have I told you how radiant you look today?” Ace leaned over to kiss your cheek but you ducked making him loose his balance

“Don’t start with me Portgas” a shiver ran down Ace’s back, both from fear and… something else.

“You did this” you held a pillow cover in front of his face “You burned my only bed sheets, and you’re getting me new ones even if you end up in debt with everyone on this ship”

Ace was attracted to you all the time, but there was something in the way you would always stand your ground and how gorgeous you looked right now that was knocking him out of his feet. He placed his hand in the one were you held the pillow cover and pulled you in for a hug

“Im sorry sweetheart I’d get you new ones on the next island, you can borrow mine for now” you rolled your eyes and sighed, he got you wrapped all around his finger and he knew it, you couldn’t be mad at him for long

“Of course I’m taking yours, you sleep at my bed every night anyways… but wash them first” Ace picked you up and pampered your face with kisses “You look so hot when you’re angry

Zoro

“RORONOA ZORO” you screamed while exiting to the deck where he was working out, all of the straw hats looked back at Zoro in fear, Sanji holding in a laugh

Few things made this man flinch but he couldn’t help but catch himself lose balance when he heard his full name exit your lips in such an angry tone followed by your big stumps getting louder as you got closer

Everyone wrapped up whatever they were doing and ran off to the kitchen, leaving Zoro to face his demise alone

“What now?” He played it off trying to sound as nonchalant as he could not even looking your direction

“How many times have I asked you to not leave your sake around my desk?” If looks could kill your boyfriend would be a dead man

“Where am I supposed to put it then?” He scoffed crossing his arms in front of his chest, he looked at you for a second and his heart clenched at the cute way your brows furrowed and your arms rested on your hips

“Oh! I don’t know maybe, just getting silly here, IN THE PANTRY WHERE IT BELONGS!” Zoros condecency was driving you insane making your tone scale

The swordsman noticed how you were getting tense and teardrops threaten to run down your cheeks, he sighed a little embarrassed he had made you this upset. He cupped your cheeks while he apologized in that soft tone he reserved just for you

“I’m sorry I forgot to put it away last night, it won’t happen again I promise” he drew comforting circles around your cheek as he whispered

“It got all over my notebooks” oh so that’s why you were so shaken up

“I’ll clean it up baby” your boyfriend kissed your forehead as he made his way to the kitchen for a towel, as he opened the door every crew member fell comically on top of each other, they were ears dropping as they do.

Before Zoro could complain, your sweet laugh was heard at the distance which made him smile a little “You should listen to her mosshead” Sanji muttered which made the swordsman’s smile drop and scream back at him

Sanji

“BLACK LEG SANJI” even though you were screaming at him, the cook couldn’t help but feel his heart flutter at the way you wouldn’t use his birth last name as you knew he despised it and what it stand for, instead raging while using his public name.

You stormed in the kitchen eyes fixed on him, even angry Sanji thought you were breathtaking

“Yes my world?” he beamed a smile at you which you didn’t know if it annoyed or charmed you

“What have I said about smoking indoors?” Sanji felt the air get stuck in his throat, his eyes drifted from yours in shame

“I uhm-“ he laughed nervously as you got closer and closer cornering him against the counter, both hands caging him while they rested on said counter

“You know damn well I hate when my clothes smell like cigarettes, now imagine how I feel when my whole room stinks” you grabbed Sanjis tie to move his face closer to yours without breaking eye contact, you knew exactly what to do to make him a nervous wreck

The blondes heart couldn’t help but skip several beats at the way you were acting right now, he felt bad about upsetting you but he could get used to this side of you

“My apologies love, you know I cant manage to go without a smoke and sometimes I don’t want to leave your side” he twitched when his gaze met yours as he tried to explain himself

“Well you better start to manage” with a torturous slow move you took the cigarette that hanged from your boyfriends lips and threw it on the floor before stepping on it to take it out “Or I’ll move out of the room” you smiled teasingly while exploring his handsome features, stopping at his lips.

The cook turned all shades of red and pink breathing heavily, squirming a “Yes ma’m” before you kissed him passionately and breaking it abruptly

You winked at him before leaving the poor poor man absolutely stunted and a hot mess

The day Trafalgar Law's brain stopped working...

"Captain! Captain! Your wife is fighting marines on the docks!"

Law needed a few seconds to let Bepo's words sink in.

"Wife?" he muttered, his thoughts racing as he froze on the spot. His brain struggled to process the notion that Y/n could be his wife.

"Captain?" Bepo waved his hand in front of Law's face. No reaction.

"Ah, good work, Bepo. You broke him !" Shachi and Penguin laughed, amused by their captain's dumbfounded expression.

"Yo, I'm back," you said casually, hopping onto the submarine and wiping some blood from your lips. "Um... We might need to leave like... right now, capt'" You pointed towards the army of marines chasing you.

"Law are you okay?" You approached the man who awkawardly turned away and left.

"Ah?" You raised an eyebrow but brushed it off as the marines were getting close. As everyone prepared to submerge, Law remained silent and retreated to his cabin.

Poor captain...

"Wife...?" was the only thought occupying his mind for the past few hours.

Worst generations react to their s/o kissing him but the running away

Luffy

Luffy might be taken aback at first when his significant other kisses him unexpectedly and then flees.

His initial response would probably be one of perplexity because he might not fully comprehend their escape. Given his reputation for being open and truthful about his feelings, Luffy might ask aloud why they fled in order to show his surprise.

But Luffy is also an adventurous and driven individual. He was confused, but he wasn't going to let it stop him for long. Any residual confusion would be swiftly dispelled, and he would embark on a mission to locate his true love.

Luffy would follow his loved ones wherever they went because he was determined to keep them safe and with him.

Luffy would utilize his special skills and cunning to find his true love during his quest. Luffy would go to tremendous lengths to find his crewmates, whether it meant stretching and reaching far-off places with his rubber powers or asking for assistance from them.

Luffy would probably be honest and forthright in his expression of feelings when he eventually caught up to his significant other.

He would tell them how much he loved and appreciated their affection, even though he was taken aback by their unexpected kiss. As he reassures them that he's not upset or angry but rather thrilled and content to have experienced their kiss, Luffy's straightforward personality comes through.

Luffy's response would ultimately be a mixture of bewilderment, tenacity, and genuine love. In the end, his desire to be with his significant other and his love for them would win out because he would make it obvious that he wanted to carry on their journey together.

Zoro

Compared to other characters, Zoro's response would probably be a little different when his significant other kisses him unexpectedly and then flees. Zoro may be taken aback by the sudden show of affection at first because of his reputation for being stoic and practical.

Zoro might stand there for a while, trying to take in what has just happened and feeling a little shocked. He could scowl, a little taken aback by their abrupt departure. Zoro would use his practicality after he had a chance to regain his bearings. He would calmly evaluate the circumstances and attempt to figure out why his partner had run off after sharing a kiss. Zoro would attempt to address the situation with a cool-headed approach because he doesn't tend to draw conclusions or assume anything.

im currenrly reposting a few old stories i wrote some time ago from my old blog!! REQUESTS ARE OPEN!!

the strawhat pirates preparing luffy for his first date:

Ok so first things first every single member probably thinks you are nuts for agreeing to go out with their captain, but when they saw how happy you and Luffy were when you agreed to spend some time together they just couldnt help but smile, trying their best since they know how dense their captain can be.

After Sanji finally calmed down and stopped crying because Luffy got a date and he didnt, he and Nami are willing to teach him how to fucking eat like a normal person (in case you are going out to eat) because the way Luffy just crams a bunch of food into his mouth is not quite pleasant, no matter if its in front of his crush or in front of them.

But lets be realistic, after one and a half hours both of them would just give up because there is no way Luffy will use a fork or spoon correctly.

Usopp is the one responsible for taking care that Luffy showers properly, even if it means he has to get into that damn shower by himself and scrub his whole body. I think its no secret that Luffy barely showers, because... water? and Luffy? Nope, not gonna happen.

Robin and Zoro are not really interfering, just watching the whole rigmalore in front of them and smiling to themselves. They both think there is no need to change the way their captain behaves since you agreed to go out with the huge dork, not with a forced gentlemen, but instead of calming them down they both just watch the whole crew make a fuss. Its kinda like Luffys friends are more excited about the date then he is.

Franky is already searching for the fake mustaches they wore at dressrosa in order to follow you discreetly, thinking that this will truely disguise them. Plot twist: It doesnt.

Brook and Chopper are trying to convince him to change in some more appropriate clothes, but there is no way Luffy would change. He is comfortable in what he is wearing and he probably doesnt even own anything different than his colored shirts and blue shorts.

At the end of the day every one of his crew members got exhausted because there is no freaking way their captain will change and will become a gentlemen in less then half a day. Thats probably when Robin finally speaks up and calms everyone down.

You are probably in your own room, not noticing how the other members harassed Luffy the whole evening over, just trying to get ready by yourself, already excited to explore the new island you landed on some hours earlier with Luffy. At some point Nami even barges into the room, looking quite exhausted, asking if you are 1000% sure to go out with the gummy boy. And you are just like... Yes?? You are sure. At least you think you are lol.

Nami is giving Luffy some extra money to spend on the island - which is a very very bad idea actually since he will lose it in no matter of time or spend it on complete bullshit. Thats probably the reason why she also gave you a bit more money than usually, knowing that Luffy will throw it out of the window and you have to pay for him, but you dont mind at all.

Five minutes after you both left the ship to go explore the island, Franky showed up with the beards and hats in order to follow you and take care that everything is going smoothly. But no way would Robin let them leave the ship, no matter how much they begged or tried to convince her. She would even use her devil fruit powers in order to keep the other strawhat pirates on their ship. She just wants to respect your and Luffys privacy.

No one of them knows how the date was. They just sat on the Sunny all day, wondering about all the scenarios that could happen.

After some hours they finally hear your and Luffys voices again, even though its just a muffled dialogue since you are currently talking in front of the ship instead of climbing up. Even Zoro became curious on how it went, every single one of them looking down and trying to peek on both of you, reading your faces. The only thing they saw though was how you gave Luffy a big smooch on his red cheeks, and him showing you the biggest gummismile he has, giggling slightly. Even you could tell how the tense atmosphere upstairs left immediately, everyone smiling down on both of you, happy it went well.

My dude the way you wrote for Shanks is frighting! I LOVE IT XD ! Ok but now I’m wondering is how would he react if someone close to him got attached to his darling ? (Crew mate , Buggy , Luffy!?)

This question is so easy to answer that I can be proud to say that the answer will be short (if you feel that I should go deeper into the topic, you are welcome to make more requests for the subject), and since you did not specify female pronouns, also I assume that Shanks is yandere

Here I briefly explain why none of his crew members would ever show interest in her beloved or get too close to her

In the case of Buggy, he doesn't even see it as a threat because the clown, in his eyes, is too clumsy, not very charismatic, with low self-esteem that he tries to hide with false arrogance (low self-esteem is so unattractive to women), uncomfortable, awkward and has no game with women, Benn standing in a corner looking at the sky represents more threat than Buggy trying to do his best to entice a girl

He sees Luffy practically as a son, in addition to the fact that he knows that the straw hat would never look at his beloved romantically (come on, that he rejected Boa Hancock), so he does not constitute a threat to him either, instead, Luffy is a good training subject for you, after all the yonkou thinks that his children could have the same energy as Luffy, it is better that you learn how to deal with hyperactive children sooner than later.

Alright it's time for PART TWO OF MY ONE PIECE OPENING ANALYSIS. Turns out you can only add 30 images to a post lol.

Anyways you can find part one here, but if you've already seen it or just want to skip to the good shit, Hi. I'm anime only but have seen manga spoilers for Kid, Law, Kuma, and Bonney, so that will affect my analysis.

Anyways remember last time when I talked a bit about the line "When random contexts / Start to make sense on their own" and the deliberate parallels between the fights with Luffy/Lucci, Kid/(manga spoilers), Law/Blackbeard, Zoro/Seraphim Mihawk, and Garp/Kuzan? Well those continue here except it's Sabo and the Revolutionaries against the ENTIRE WORLD GOVERNMENT. These random contexts? They're all tied to the fight Sabo is in right now.

"When random contexts / Start to make sense on their own / The threads of time are spun back together"

This sequence of shots gives me chills every time. Every single time. The parallels between the Revolutionary Army's crows and the World Government's seagulls? The falling papers and books. Fucking Wapol??? The FUNERAL???? and the SWORDS??? God if those swords in front of the world government's throne DON'T end up being used to stab someone by the end of this story (either in the past or future or maybe both) I will eat my shirt this is CHECKOV'S SWORD THIS GOVERNMENT WAS FOUNDED ON VIOLENCE AND CONQUEST I SWEAR-

*ahem* Anyways. "The threads of time are spun back together." All of those "random contexts" we saw before? The fights that are paralleling each other and driving towards a single end point? To stick with the string metaphor, the world government has unraveled the thread of history. Everything happening now is going to spin it back together into a cohesive narrative. Time is running out. The end is in sight. Their string is going to be cut.

Again with the parallels. All of the men who Luffy impacted in the past, Sabo, Kid, Law, and Coby. They're all rising to take on this enemy. They have been beaten, but they will rise again, and they will charge forward into the future (at least, that's how I read the storytelling here). I think this theme of rising from major defeats is going to be a huge one in this arc, especially for these four. They are going to get stronger and be Luffy's competition. The Whitebeard and Garp to his Rodger, if you will.

Also, speaking of the men who Luffy impacted, HOLY SHIT IS THAT VIVI

Law, Coby, Kid, and Sabo may all be rising from defeat, but you know who's charging forward? VIVI. Vivi is going to be so fucking important this arc just you wait.

And listen- I saw a theory a few weeks ago that Vivi *might* eat a certain devil fruit that I will not name because (manga spoilers), but looking at this picture, with the way she's reaching out towards that specific shape? Yeah she's totally gonna eat that devil fruit. Wish I could link the theory but unfortunately it's deep in my youtube watch history by now and i didn't save it.

EDIT: As a couple people have pointed out, it might be Bonney in that scene and not Vivi, as indicated by the pink highlights on the hair. That honestly makes a lot more sense than Vivi eating a random(ish) devil fruit.

Finally, I want to talk about this last shot. The Theme of this opening. All of these separate, winding paths, leading towards one final destination: Laugh Tale. The truth of the world. Law, Kid, Luffy, Sabo, The Revolutionaries, the Marines, Coby, Garp, the World Government, everyone is on the path to Laugh Tale, we're in the endgame now, and everyone is going to be vital to whatever lies ahead. I imagine some of the poetry is lost in the english translation, but there's a reason that the music keeps repeating the words "all of us"

"All of us" are going to reach Laugh Tale.

I could not live blog my reaction to Dracule Mihawk because of 2 things:

1. I was very high. Like way too much weed. I just yelled at the TV then cried. My husband also was too high. He just laughed at my reaction (affectionate).

2. HE SERVED SO HARD WHAT IS THERE TO SAY?!?!?! Of course this bitch is popular! His boat is a coffin. He sales it sitting with his legs crossed looking so very bored. Hes Goth Daddy and Volitile Materials rolled into one.

Imagine, if you will, that you are part of the Don Krieg Pirates. Not only did your captain name himself Donald, but he also thought "Ya know what I want to bring to the notoriously difficult to survive place? MORE PEOPLE TO LOOK AFTER". So, ya know, you already deal with that stupid bitch. Then, after you make it to Hard To Live Place, some GOTH DADDY just sails through your fleet AND CUTS ANYTHING IN HIS WAY IN HALF. You didnt even get a chance to move, hes that impatient and also you should have just known he was coming and moved.

So you make it to safety, regroup, and attack a restaurant for food (as ya do). And guess who shows up AGAIN. GOTH DADDY making this face ----> >:-[

NOOOOO NOT THE GIANT SWORD AGAIN!!!!! I would fake my death so fast. My happy ass would be moving back to Syrup Villiage or wherever.

Monster Trio react to theirs S/o sitting on their laps

Luffy

Luffy would react with a mixture of shock and delight when his significant other sat on his lap.

The suddenness of the action may have surprised him at first, but once he realizes what's going on, he's probably going to smile broadly.

Given his carefree and impulsive nature, Luffy would find the situation entertaining.

He could jokingly put his arms around his significant other and give them a firm squeeze, expressing his love in his own special way.

All in all, Luffy would greet the occasion with his usual warmth and determination.

Zoro

Zoro may look surprised at first when his significant other sits on his lap. He might wag his eyebrows or give them a suspicious look. Zoro, though, is not one to display a lot of emotion or affection externally, so he might keep his cool. He may also experience some initial discomfort or awkwardness because he cherishes his privacy. Knowing Zoro, though, he would quickly adapt to the circumstances and make an effort to ensure his S/O was comfortable.

Zoro could put his arms loosely around his sweetheart's waist to give him stability and security. Even though he might not publicly express his feelings, his deeds would say a lot. He may recline a little to find a posture that suits him and his significant other. Even though he doesn't express it visibly, Zoro would value physical proximity and intimacy.

It's critical to remember that Zoro is a unique person who cherishes his privacy and independence. Therefore, it's wise to always get his permission and make sure he feels comfortable making this kind of physical contact.

Sanji

Sanji would react very differently from Zoro when his significant other sat on his lap. Given Sanji's passion and romantic nature, his reaction would probably be a mixture of surprise, delight, and subtle flirtation.

Sanji would most likely be surprised at first, his eyes going wide with shock before a beguiling smile appeared on his face. He would quickly encircle his significant other in his arms and draw them nearer to him.

Sanji would be ecstatic about the chance to be physically near his significant other and would probably show it by giving him tender pecks or cheek kisses.

Sanji might also indulge in his flirtatious side, using this as a chance to show off his charm and chivalry. To make his significant other feel special and loved, he could whisper kind remarks in their ear or playfully tease them.

Sanji would savor the private moment spent with his significant other because he values beauty and romance in life. It's crucial to remember that comfort and consent are crucial in every circumstance, so it's advisable to talk and make sure that both partners are comfortable with this level of physical contact.

strawhats when you are sick:

im gonna be very honest with you here. i think the only useful people in the strawhat crew are chopper and sanji when you are sick.

that doesnt mean that the other members arent gonna worry about you though!

chopper will make you some medicine and order you to stay in your bed to get enough sleep.

sanji is probably gonna be a bit dramatic at the beginning, crying and throwing a fit that you wont be around him anymore for a few days. he loves your presence and you always offer your help in the kitchen, even though it might not even be your best strength.

after calming down a bit (nami probably punched him in the face until he stopped crying), he's gonna make you something to eat to strengthen your body again. his food is gonna make you feel soothened and safe <33

now to the useless people in the crew:

luffy is gonna be sulking! you arent here to play with him anymore? he can understand that you are sick and you need rest, but seeing you so tired and exhausted in your bed? it pains him to see you like this.

luffy is gonna sit on the bed, right next to you, and tries to make you laugh. he's gonna bend his face and tickle you until you are laughing again (even though thats probably gonna make you feel more exhausted. but he's trying his best, i promise.)

usopp is right next to him, showing you a few party tricks he learned that might amaze you. they are both just trying to make you forget about your symptoms and kill the time that you are forced to spend in bed & play games with you. (chopper wont let you leave early. nope. not gonna happen.)

zoro is gonna be absolutely clueless on how to help you. he might hand you a few tissues when you ask him for them, but not without grumbling a bit. he may act annoyed that you are sick and that he has to help now, BUT he also stays when the others are gone, taking a nap on the floor next to your bed so you dont feel too lonely. you told him he doesnt need to stay. he told you to shut up. (lovingly of course)

robin and nami are gonna be the only people on the ship who are checking in on you properly every few hours. nami brings you something to drink, robin gets you a book she enjoyed, and they both stay a few minutes. they probably will start a small talk about something one of you read a few days ago, just for you to ignore your symptoms for a few minutes before tucking you back into bed.

Brook is gonna be camping in your room too, playing you a few songs on his violin just for your mood to rise again.

-HEART TO HEART ; As the Straw hats are leaving Whole cake island, Sanji goes to get reader from the crows nest only to find out that they had sacrificed their life so that the crew could leave Whole cake island.

-“ITS JUST LIKE SEEING HER FOR THE FIRST TIME AGAIN.” ; Law sees afab! Straw hat! reader in Punk Hazard when he hasn’t seen her since Sabaody two years ago.

-“SO YOU WANNA MARRY, Y/N?” ; Different characters reactions to meeting their fiancés extremely wealthy family for the first time, the family tried to intimidate them.

-“YOUR BEAUTY NEVER REALLY SCARED ME.” ; Reader lives in a village where everyone is very unattractive, reader was considered unattractive in her village because she was the only pretty one. Reader wears a paper bag over her head to hide her “unattractive” face. Characters react to seeing readers face. (Hope this makes sense somehow.)

-“NEVER EVER GETTING RID OF ME” ; Luffy isn’t leaving tailor! Reader alone until they joins his crew.

-“WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY TO YOU?” ; Reader is Kuina’s sister and blames Zoro for her death. Reader avoids talking to Zoro, he sees her in louge town and confronts her.

-“SMOKING CIGARETTES ON THE ROOF, YOU LOOK SO PRETTY AND I LOVE THIS VIEW.” ; reader can’t sleep after Enies lobby because they are scared that the government will try to steal Robin while they sleep. Robin can’t sleep either and the two enjoy each others presence on the roof.

-“THEY WERE BOTH FOUND DEAD… “SHE MUST HAVE BEEN OUT OF HER HEAD.” ; Robin smells a perfume that is similar to the one Nami would wear. Jimbei asks who Nami and Reader were, the archeologist explains how the two died. Yandere! Nami.

-GHOSTING ; Reader ate a devil fruit that killed her and made her into a ghost. Reader likes to mess with Straw hats but decides to move on to the after life when her crew gets bored of her and her antics.

-BEAUTY AND THE BEAST ; The Disney tale but Katakuri is the beast, Reader is belle, and Doflamingo is Gaston.

-SLIPPIN THROUGH MY FINGERS ; Reader looses her daughters life, different characters react as the other parent.

-“I CAN’T IGNORE YOU, DO ANYTHING FOR YOU” ; Eustass kid who is obsessed with his ghost gf that only appears at night, heavily inspired by ‘In my room by Insane clown Posse.’

-STRAW HATS RECRUITING A TAILOR!! ; Straw hats come to an island to get a tailor for their crew, they meet the reader at a bar. The reader gets into trouble and the straw hats find out that reader is the islands best tailor and a total bad ass! Straw hats make reader join their crew.

-PRINCESS! READER WITH A LOT OF CONNECTIONS. ; Reader is daughter of the most powerful family in the world and has become friends with A LOT of princesses/princes/yonkos/kings/queens/warlords/ect.

-READER AND STRAWHATS WAKE UP AND THEY ARE SPLIT UP IN A WEIRD CAVE SYSTEM!! ; What it would be like if you woke up with different straw hats in a cave system that is set up with traps and different rooms.

-ROLLER COASTER ISLAND!! ; You and the straw hats arrive on a theme park island! Luffy sister! Reader.

-CHARACTERS HEARING READER LAUGH! ; Characters react to hearing Reader laugh for the first time, reader is insecure about their laugh.

-QUEEN OF THE DUEL!! ; Afab! Reader looses her tittle as “Queen of the duel” after loosing a duel. Reader has to kinda seduce the guy that beat her so she can prove he cheated. Sanji is a jelous little guy :)

My favorite part of an anime opening is picking it apart for spoilers/predictions SO THAT'S WHAT I'M GONNA DO FOR ONE PIECE HERE WE GO

As of writing this I'm caught up to Ep 1093 and know of a few manga spoilers for Law, Kid, Kuma, and Bonney, but everything else here is gonna be predictions. SPOILERS MAY BE AHEAD, BE WARNED.

Starting with the first thing that caught my eye, Luffy looking at someone standing on the ruin of a giant metal thing! Who is this person? Is that a giant's suit of armor? It looks like it was cut down with a giant axe. Why is this part of egghead so worn out? Can't wait to find out cause I cannot piece this one together from context clues!

Next there's all the Vegapunks. Looks like there's 6 of them, and they seem to work in pairs like Lillith and the guy who told her to be careful (can't for the life of me remember his name tho)

Of course we can't forget about CP9 and the return of Lucci. Can't wait to see what that bastard gets up to in the future.

Next there's a set! The Vegapunks, Garp's Marines, and Cross Guild. I think these are simply flashes of characters that will be important for this arc. It is interesting that Cross Guild is paired with these two. The Vegapunks used to be allied with the marines, but I have a suspicion that they'll become a neutral party in this upcoming arc. I'm pretty sure CP9 is after them, and they've been set apart from both pirates and Marines in the opening.

Now HERE'S WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING. We know Coby was kidnapped by Blackbeard, and we know that he's going to have to escape, presumably with the help of his fellow marines (especially if this opening is anything to go by). But pairing Coby with the question "Are your dreams still pure?" 🤨 Are they still pure, Mr. Marine? And is that old man Luffy and baby Jimbei? And who is the glitchy hand high-fiving Atlas? A hologram or something more thematically relevant? Are the Vegapunk's dreams still pure?

Anyways shout out to the Heart Pirates and Fem Bepo especially. Everyone talks about Fem Law but I can't wait for the Fem Bepo appreciation to start rolling in. He's so cute! Let's talk about Fem Bepo and not the fact that the Heart Pirates are definitely 100% fucked by the foreshadowing here.

Another set, this time of Coby's marine crew and Kizaru's asshole nephew. The marines are paired with the evil pirates they're facing and the civilians they want to save, and Kizaru's nephew is paired with a line of Pacifistas all aiming past him at the viewer. Perhaps showing the difference between them. Coby's crew can distinguish between enemies and allies, the pacifistas see only enemies?

This next set is with three characters. Kizaru, Kuma, and Seraphim Jimbei. They're all following the same movement arc, and from the way Seraphim Jimbei falls into the water, some later frames in the opening, and (manga spoilers), I suspect that these characters *might* not survive. Not completely sure about this cause I don't think Seraphim Jimbei will die too easily, but Kizaru is probably screwed.

Oh yeah, Kizaru's definitely screwed. Anyways, this particular analysis gets into manga spoilers, but I think these frames are about those left behind if I'm right about Kizaru, Seraphim Jimbei, and Kuma not making it thorugh. There's no third character though, so maybe Seraphim Jimbei means something else.

OOOOooooo its the guy Lilith was paired with, sitting behind a really creepy-looking wall with handprints. He looks sinister as FUCK. Can't wait to see what happens here!

This sequence was interesting. It's the Seraphim, being comforted like children. Especially Boa. There's DEFINITELY some symbolism being captured here when Boa looks at the camera, a star drops, and we cut to Luffy. Something tells me that the Seraphim are more human than the Navy would have us believe at first, and maybe Boa's affection for Luffy carries on to her Seraphim self? (hopefully in a non-romantic context cause that'd be weird as fuck).

OOOH BOY A BIG BATCH HERE. I think these are all the fights in the upcoming arc. Luffy rematches with Lucci. Kid battles (Manga Spoilers) (interesting that he's the only one who's deliberately obscured, kinda like how we don't know anything about him really). Law fights Blackbeard. Garp fights Kuzan (which will be interesting since he used to be a marine and now works for blackbeard), and if Zoro's not fighting Seraphim Mihawk I'm gonna eat my shirt.

Now I rarely say this about anime openings, but I think this opening has a theme, and I think it's going to be reflected across the entire egghead arc. "When random contexts / start to make sense on their own" something will happen. These random contexts are all the different fights across this arc, and this opening is deliberately drawing parallels between them. All of these fights are driving towards the same goal, they're all fighting for the same end. They may be separated by space, but they're allied against the same thing. The world is moving and these will be the people who move it forward.
