I failed...

Hey guys,

Im sad to announce that I am on academic probation this coming semester. It was rough, I fell into a deep depression and high anxiety. My autoimmune disorders got worse and I didnt know how to juggle everything.

I am making changes. I will be here posting once or a few times a week starting the 8th and then we will see where it goes. I will also start doing reflections every week so I can see my improvements over the next semester.

I have changed my major from Genetics to Criminal Justice keeping Anthropology and my minor in Russian but also adding a minor in Human Development.

this is my first original post in a long time! here’s a quick update in bullet format: • I’ve been super stressed the last few weeks • I’m also super sick! • my academic advising meeting is on monday and I’m so ready to choose my classes for next semester • right now I’m catching up on a whole bunch of chem and calc and it is NOT fun this is unrelated but I recently (within the last 12 hours) got into gregorian chants as study music??? idk how that happened, but hey : ))

i. are you a morning person? I wouldn’t say that I’m a morning person. I’m more a night owl seeing as I have class at night and prefer to sleep all day.

ii. Achievement you’re most proud of? My most proudest achievement would have to be named the President (??) of my old library’s Teen Advisory Board in 2013.

iii. Favorite season and why? I love the transition period between winter and spring. All the bright colors inspire me to write more and be more productive.

iv. Which fictional character would you protect at all costs? Oooh this is a hard one but I’d have to go with Jeremy Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries. Not only is Steven R. McQueen very handsome but at times I think his character is weak (especially since I’m rewatching the series) and that he needs to get stronger.

v. Which fictional universe would you most like to live in? Yet another hard one but I would definitely pick Divergent. I would most likely be in the Candor faction because half the time I have no problem sharing the truth.

vi. Favorite teacher/professor? My favorite teachers have always been my history/geography ones especially when my freshman year teacher showed us John Green’s ( @fishingboatproceeds) Crash Course videos. Those videos made me absolutely love history.

vii. Cats or dogs? I love both and have owned both animals so I can’t choose just one.

viii. On average, how many hours of sleep do you get each night? Most of the time I’d only get two to five hours seeing as I sleep almost all day anyways.

ix. Social media (besides Tumblr) you use most often? I use Snapchat whenever I can (follow me there @/mslesterhowell) and when my phone doesn’t take up too much space from it.

x. On a scale of one to ten, how tidy are you? Honestly I’d say I’m about a seven. I have this strange fascination of organizing other people’s stuff before my own.

xi. This isn’t really a question, but describe one person you really, really love! A friend, a significant other, a family member, anyone, just talk about them! Well one person who I really, really love would have to be my six year old little brother. He’s literally growing up so fast and I’m a proud sister. He learned his sight words a little while ago, knows how to write and spell his name. Whenever I talk to him on the phone he says “I love you so so much sissy. I wish I can play games with you more often.” How cute is that? He was a brat when he was like two, but what kid isn’t a brat? Such a sweetheart and lovable little dude.

Hey!

SO! I am 13 days away from starting my new semester. I have made a deal with myself that is I cannot buy any new makeup until after the semester IF I end with roughly a 3.5. It will motivate me plus also get me to wear less makeup to class even if it means ill look like a red spotted zombie. Another goal of mine is to upload on here at least once a day with pictures or an update on my classes!

When I get to school and have all of my supplies, I will have a photo uploaded with links as to where you can purchase the stuff online.

I am open to suggestions and everything like that!
