Friends, can I share one of my favourite bits of 5e homebrew?
This system (specifically the concept of a depletion die) has been a FANTASTIC addition to my campaigns, as it really breaks players out of that habit of hording consumable items and never using them for fear of needing them more at some point in the nebulous future.
You know what else this system is great for? ADVENTURING SUPPLIES. Now rather than expecting my party to go shopping and fiddle with small change and encumbrance, I just say they have a group "supply die" that's split across all their packs and baggage. How large is that supply die? Tally the group's collective strength bonus and compare it to the "average remaining uses" section of the chart. How much does it cost to resupply? There's a handy-dandy "cost" chart that you can just multiply by 10.
Rather than tracking rations, we just roll the supply die once at the end of each long rest. Whenever my party needs a random doodad that they that they could've picked up in town, they can roll the supply die and take it out of their bag, after that it's added to their permanent inventory until they lose it. The New York Times backs up Israel’s assertion that Hamas is stockpiling food and fuel in the Gaza Strip, keeping it from residents who are in desperate need.
Arab and Western officials tell the outlet that the terror group has amassed stores in its vast network of tunnels.
“Hamas has hundreds of thousands of gallons of fuel for vehicles and rockets; caches of ammunition, explosives and materials to make more; and stockpiles of food, water and medicine,” the report says, citing the unnamed officials.
A senior Lebanese official tells the newspaper that Hamas has enough supplies for the terror group to sustain fighting for three to four months without a need for resupply.
The officials spoke to the newspaper on condition of anonymity so as not to reveal their sources.
Earlier this week, the IDF issued photos it said showed fuel tanks in the Gaza Strip, asserting it had information that half a million liters of fuel were being kept there by Hamas.
Israel, which usually provides fuel to Gaza, halted all transfers following Hamas’s October 7 assault on the country, when the terror group abruptly launched a ground, air and sea assault. Under the cover of a barrage of thousands of rockets, over 2,500 gunmen crossed the border and rampaged murderously through southern towns, killing more than 1,400, most of whom were civilians. Over 230 more were taken hostage.
Israel has barred the entry of fuel into Gaza after imposing a complete blockade on the coastal enclave in the early hours of the war. However, a number of aid convoys of food, water and medical equipment have been allowed in via Egypt.

Where do you get your short pile fur type fabric for plushies? I've never been able to fond a decent place that doesn't make you buy like 20 yards at a time.
Which one specifically?
I'm in the UK so that's where most of my suppliers are.
The printed stuff is called "Short Velvet" and I get it printed through a company called Woven Monkey.
The faux fur I use is from Mohair Bear Making Supplies, Swincraft2 on Ebay, and Linda's Wholesale on Aliexpress and this one specific website for 10mm faux fur (I don't recommend the black but the others are nice). I've also just collected a bunch over the years.
For Short Minky I recommend Hopen on Aliexpress!

Thank you all so much for sharing the first version of this post. We were able to send £500 to 5 families from my village! However, we still need to fundraise for medical costs, childcare (baby formula, nappies, medicine, etc.), food, shelter, and transport! My aim is to continue sending money to families in £500 increments and start sending out email updates to those that have already been so generous by donating.
The flash floods that hit the area a few weeks ago were devastating and the brook running through the village overflowed and washed away so much of the remaining debris uprooted relief tents that were able to reach the area.

Would you mind giving us a little tour of your traditional art supplies? Your stuff is real cool :)
I would love to! And thank you so much 😊
First i got my trusty Prismacolor Col erase pencils, i use them the most.
Sometimes i use this fountain pen, it's a gift so i didn't choose the style of the nib, etc. But it's nice for when i want a different feeling.
Pentel fude pen for broader strokes, i filled it with grey rohrer and klingner ink for shading.
A basic ballpoint pen, for smaller details
For inking details.
For paper i love using a5 sketchbooks so i can carry them around, my fave brands are leuchtturm1917, pentalic, art creation and moleskine, as long as the paper is 140gsm or more.

Espresso: As stocks ran short after Z-day, even the ever-stoic Janine seemed agitated as the last of the beans were used. Depending on stimulants is not a long-term strategy, but when you’re adapting to survive a zombie apocalypse every edge counts. Suffice to say the Ministry delivering on their promise of more beans won a lot of hearts and minds.
