"Did it do anything?"
"It didn't work."
"Nothing happened."
You tossed the chalk to the ground and sat back down on the floorboards. Your friends all had a mixture of emotions painted on their faces ranging between skeptical and really fucking bored to disappointed. You looked back to your side to where the old "tome" sat opened, the spell it was opened to was obviously just a bunch of doodles and jumbled words.
"At least we can say we tried something for Halloween," you shrugged before eyeing them all.
One of your friends stood up, grabbed their backpack and slinging it over their shoulder.
"I gotta go. My dorm stops letting people in soon and I don't wanna wake up my roommate," they sighed before waving goodbye.
The others also started to trickle out one by one until you had been left alone in your dorm room. You stood up, dusting the powdery chalk off of your legs and snatching up the old tome. You and your friends had found it stashed in your school's library behind some of the older books in the fantasy section. One of your friends had slipped it into their back and brought it to your dorm room, showing you all bookmarks they had made with some of the spells and enchantments and summons they wanted to try tonight. Only one could've worked, however; a summoning spell for a demon, the description of the damned devil had been faded and even scratched up leaving so much to the imagination.
Your friends all joked that it would either be a big, brawny and very handsome demon while the others weighed that it could be an actual fucking problem like in the movies. Curiosity killed the coeurl, though, and pretty soon you had drawn out the summoning circle in great detail on your dorm's floors. You had to admit, you were a bit disappointed yourself. You were secretly hoping for a sexy demon to have some fun with, but now you were left with a mess to clean up.
You turned your back to the circle and flipped through more pages of the tome, walking towards the broom and dustpan in the corner when you suddenly felt a pair of eyes on you, burning a hole in the back of your head. Spinning on your heel, you gasped and dropped the dusty old tome to the floor.
You had company.
A man- fuck that, a demon was sitting in the summoning circle. He was on the floor, one leg tucked up while the other was stretched out. Dual black horns curled out from cool black messy hair. Eyes that looked as though he captured galaxies in them bore right into you. He was shirtless, showing off his pale and ashen skin, wearing nothing more than a pair of pants that looked like they were ripped straight from a fantasy game. An ashen tail curled behind him, swaying back and forth, snaking around his leg before brushing around like a cat's.
He eyed you lazily, raising his brows almost as if you were the one that was summoned and he was waiting for you to do your own little tricks.
"Holy shit," you mumbled as you eyed him up and down. "What the fuck?"
"I don't care much for crowds," he uttered as he gave you the same treatment.
"What kind of demon are you?"
He cocked a brow seemingly out of amusement, but you couldn't quite pin it down.
"An incubus. What kind of human are you?"
"Shouldn't Incubus have wings?"
He shot you a look.
"Shouldn't humans not be summoning demons?" Touché. He stood suddenly when you realized he was very much taller than you. He walked towards the edge of the summoning circle, stopping just where the chalk started. His tail twister behind him in curiosity as he eyed you. "You're rather interesting for a human. I'd love to know how you taste."
You were very much aware of the sharp teeth in his mouth. You caught the glints of them in the low lighting of your room.
Your cheeks heated up at his comment.
"Is that so?"
"It's true."
His eyes were staring right into your soul, reading you like an open book. He knew exactly how you were feeling, he probably knew exactly what you were feeling too. It doesn't take a fucking demon to know you were craving something crazed in the sheets. You felt a tingling feeling building up just behind your belly button, you felt your core tighten and warm up.
His nostrils twitched a bit, no doubt he could smell your arousal from where he stood just mere feet away. His eyes flared an even brighter blue. He looked like he was starving for passion and love.
"I can smell your need for me," his smile was handsome even with the fangs. "It's divine."
"Thank you?"
"All you have to do is say you want me," he stared you down, "and I can give you what you want." He eyed your pants before looking back into your eyes. "Just say you want me."
Was this real? Yes. Was this a smart thing to do? Fuck no, it was a damn demon that you just summoned from a nasty ass tome from Astrals knows when. Did you want this? Oh, absolutely!
"Take me," you barely whispered.
He broke from the summoning circle, stepping over the chalk and before eyeing knew it you were pinned against the wall of your dorm. You were thankful that you didn't have a roommate and even more thankful for the Halloween parties that were raging on across campus.
His hands were planted on your shoulders, his sharp nails dug into your jacket and pierced at your skin. His tail wrapped around your thigh and snaked its way upwards. You hissed when it teased at your sex through your pants, pressing against your warmth and tempting you even further into that little pool of list you were so damn adamant on swimming in. His tail tightened around your thigh just enough for it to start to tingle.
You whimpered, craning your neck to to meet his eyes as he stared down at you in pure hunger. Something feral lurked in his eyes and you were loving every second of it. Your body was on fire, your skin reacting so well to his touch. Was this wrong? You were about to make love with a demon. Was it really wrong?
If it was wrong, you didn't want to be right.
He captured your lips with his. He fisted your jacket and brought you as close to his body as he could. Your hands fumbled across his body. He was pretty chiseled with pecs and faint abs on the cusp of being something straight out of a porno. Your hands grabbed at his broad shoulders, anchoring yourself against him as your lips moved in tangent. Your teeth clicked against each others by accident a few times from how rough he was using your poor mouth. You could taste blood starting to linger into the kiss, traces of hearty iron tainting your tongues as he greedily drank you up like he was some vampire.
His tongue rolled over your lips before forcing them apart himself, not caring for you to allow him in. You've already sealed that fate. His tongue was warm and wet and eager to explore. He loved to explore your mouth, eagerly fighting with your tongue as you moaned softly into the kiss. Your fingers tugged at the hair that tickled at his shoulders, earning you a fierce growl from the demon as his claws sank into you more.
When he grew tired of your mouth, he parted from it and trailed his tongue down your jaw to your neck. He pressed hot, open mouthed kisses to your jugular, lapping at your pulse and nosed at the column of your throat. He inhaled your scent like he could get high off of the smell alone before licking at it again with that tongue of his. Oh Astrals, what you want him to do with that tongue alone.
He pressed hot kisses to your throat right where your pulse was the strongest, each kiss getting rougher than the last until he finally sank his sharp teeth into your delicate skin. You cried, sinking your nails into his shoulders to anchor yourself against him as your knees wobbled and threatened to give out under your weight.
Your head rolled back and smacked against your wall when his tail teased at your sex, pressing firmly against the swollen flesh, teasing at the wet spot that was slowly growing in the crotch of your pants.
His teeth unlatched from your throat and he nosed at your ear, nibbling at your earlobe and smirked.
"You're already hot and bothered and I've just been kissing you," he purred in your ear. "So eager for me."
"Please," you whimpered.
Your hands caressed up his ashen neck, toying with his locks of soft black hair.
"What do you want? Tell me."
"Please, just fuck me already. Please?"
He pinned you to the bed, his clawed hand wrapped around your jaw as he hovered above you. His palm covered your mouth, muffling your moans and pants. His eyes were wild, his teeth bared. He looked like a wild animal.
"You're very interesting for a human," he thought out loud, "I think I'll keep you around when I'm done here."
Your clothes were suddenly missing from your person, your skin chilled and your body hair stood up on its ends at the sudden loss of protection. Your cheeks lit aflame under his intense gaze, heat crawling up your face as your mind grew slightly embarrassed from the whole situation. Your hands tried to cover at your nude body, shying away from his sight as you turned your head away as the demon’s eyes lavished over your perfect form. He batted your hands away, clawed fingers wrapping around your wrists and pulling them away, planting them on either side of your head as he locked eyes with you once more.
“Don’t hide from me,” his eyes lit up like neon signs you would see cutting through the darkness of downtown Insomnia.
You were hypnotized by how beautiful his eyes were, you didn’t feel his hands release your wrists until you felt them gently caressing your body. He started at your hips, squeezing at your soft flesh before he followed the curves up to your waist and soon found his claws dragging up your ribcage right to your breasts. Your nipples had already pebbled from the cold, your body felt as though it was set on fire. Your nerves crackled with life when the calloused pads of his thumbs rolled over such sensitive flesh that it had you flinching, sucking in a quick breath through your teeth.
For a demon, he was surely being gentle with you.
His hands squeezed at your breasts, his fingertips digging in deep enough to just teeter on the brink of eliciting pain but not pushing past into that threshold. He kneaded at your breasts for a minute, drawing out soft sighs and delicate moans from your lips as your eyes fluttered shut. He slowly brought his head down, removing his hand that fondled with your left breast. You felt his warm breath hit your skin followed by wet warmth as he latched onto your nipple. You cried out loud, suddenly slapping a hand over your mouth as you suddenly remembered you were in a dormitory with dozens of people on your floor still bustling around you.
You felt his smirk into your tit before he nipped at the bud of your nipple. You hissed, your free hand coming down to snatch at one of his horns to tug his head even closer to you. You cried out again into your palm this time when you felt his sharp teeth gently sink into your nipple, tugging at it as he sucked at your supple skin. He growled sexually into your skin at the noises you were making.
You felt his tail caressing your thigh, slowly working its way between your legs and nudging them apart just enough for him to slot one of his knees between them. He pressed his knee right up against your throbbing cunt that was slick with your arousal.
He released your poor breast only to latch onto the other. Instead of replacing your now sore and tender breast with his hand to knead the soft skin, he instead brought it down to your aching pussy and caressed your dripping folds. You jumped at the feeling of his cold claw slowly slide against you, parting your cunt as the rough pad of his index finger rubbed at you. You groaned, digging the back of your head into the rumpled sheets below. He was careful with you still, never going too fast with your delicate skin, never drawing blood as he rubbed at your pussy with his clawed finger. He quickly added a second one, arching it just enough for the tip of his claw to scratch lightly at your cunt and pull a gasp from you before you suddenly choked on a moan. You screwed your eyes shut as a surge of something electrical shocked your entire body, your limbs suddenly going a little numb as your body twitched and trembled at the feelings he was pulling from you by just sucking at your tits and fingering you as best as he could.
He pulled away from your breast and looked up at your face when he felt you look away, your grip on his horn almost faltered, sliding down the curved base until you moved your hand to grasp lightly at his dark locks.
“Look at me,” he growled darkly. He quickened his pace with your cunt. You felt your legs start to tremble, your core start to tighten, you didn’t have much longer. “Look at me when you cum.”
His voice sounded more demonic at that statement. You loved the sense of danger that washed over your senses. Your eyes shot open despite your eyelids pulling with exhaustion and made eye contact with his galactic eyes. They bore into you, read your entire soul as though it was an open book.
You came suddenly on his fingers, eyes squeezing shut again only for a brief second as your vision went white. Your body shook and locked up, your hands clung to his body burning hot with desire. Your eyes fluttered open once more when you felt his fingers massaging deep into you before he pulled away. You watched as he sat back on his haunches and stared at his two fingers covered in your sweet nectar, the clear and thick fluid clinging to his skin as it shined in the low lighting in your dorm. He brought his fingers up to his mouth and lapped at them, his sharp tongue tasting your sweet orgasm with a satisfied groan, his eyes shutting as he enjoyed how perfect you tasted. Once he had licked his fingers clean of you, he opened his eyes and looked down at you still trembling from your climax.
“You taste so divine,” he praised. “I could eat you out for days on end and never get tired of how perfect you taste to me.”
His eyes lazily looked down at your cunt now slick with what remained of your climax before he looked back up at you.
“Please,” you whimpered pitifully.
“What do you want me to do to you?” he asked coyly.
“Fuck me. Please?”
You saw his sharp teeth when he smiled devilishly at you.
His pants were quickly discarded and your eyes went wide at the side of his cock. Would that even fit? Your thighs tried to close themselves on instinct, your body in sudden shock at how hung he was. Why did it surprise you so? He was a demon after all.
He climbed over you, his clawed hands snatched at the sheets on either side of your head as he brought his trim waist down close to yours. You flinched when you felt the head of his cock press against your folds and parted them with ease. He dragged his cock along your sweet little cunt, lathering his head with as much of your spilled climax as he could until you felt a tap at your passageway.
He connected his lips to yours, swallowing your cries when he thrusted into you. Your hands snatched at his shoulders, nails biting into his hot skin as his cock speared right into you. You felt so horribly full with just the little bit he had pressed into you, your walls stretched so painfully yet so deliciously that you craved more. He sank his hips down as low as he could before he bottomed out inside of you. You screamed against his lips, cried into the cavity of his mouth as his tongue explored yours when you felt his head tap at your cervix.
He suddenly broke the kiss to snatch at your ankles. He gave you no time to adjust and prepare, he gave you no warning as to what he was about to do. He suddenly brought your knees up to your chest as he held your ankles up over your head as far as they would go. He spread your legs apart and sat up straight, towering over you as he pressed himself almost completely into you. Your head craned back, mouth hung open as you moaned out loud. You didn’t care who heard you at this point.
He gave you very little time to prepare before he started thrusting at an inhuman pace. His hips smacked against yours, his heavy balls slapped against you, his cock stretched you out to the point you thought your poor cunt would tear. You were once again teetering on the edge between pleasure and pain and you were living for it.
His claws sank into your ankles just enough for blood to start to bead at the marks he left behind. He kept his eyes on you as he fucked you like an animal. They were full of lust and drank up your sinful desires like his life depended on it.
“Fuck! You feel so good-” he panted between thrusts. “I’m not letting you out of my life.”
“Please! Ah- I- fuck,” you struggled to catch a breath.
Your legs strained uncomfortably at the stretch he was forcing. Your knees being tucked up to your chin left little room for you to breathe.
“I’m gonna cum inside of you, make you mine,” he snarled down at you through bared fangs.
You could feel his abs twitching with his thrusts, you could feel his cock harden and flinch inside of your velvety walls.
You came apart once again, your walls fluttering against his cock as you cried out loud. It felt as though the air had been punched out from your lungs, it felt as though your mind was hit with a flashbang.
His thrusts became sloppy and harsh. With every thrust, he growled and snarled and moaned. He suddenly latched a hand onto your jaw and forced you to look at him. His galactic gaze made the heavy feeling in your chest grow all warm and fuzzy.
“What are you?” he snarled.
“Yours,” you whispered back. “I’m yours.”
He thrusted harshly into you one last time before he suddenly came inside of you. He roared, throat flexing as his larynx bobbed. He shot thick, hot ropes of cum right into your waiting womb, painting the poor thing white as he filled you until you were full. He refused to leave you at first, he loved the euphoric feeling of how your walls milked him for everything he had. You groaned softly at how full you felt, and the demon above you shushed you softly, slowly dropping your legs down as his cum started to drip from your abused cunt.

Until Darkness Descends
FANDOM: Final Fantasy XV
PAIRING: Ardyn x Aera/reader (you are Aera, loosely based off of Aera Mirus Fleuret)
RATING: Teen
SERIES: The Fall Part 1 of 4
CHAPTER: 5
You leaned against the balcony railing in your guest room and stared at the view. The sleepless city was illuminated by a myriad of colorful lights, flickering and glowing like tiny stars. Meanwhile the night sky remained empty and void. It was as though the celestial beacons were dragged down to Eos, leaving the heavens shrouded in darkness. Only the moon remained. It stood sentinel over the busy city and painted your otherwise dark room in pale milky light.
The duffle bag you brought with you was on the bed, still stuffed full with the clothing you had no intention of unpacking. You weren’t going to stay here for long anyway. In fact, you planned to leave tonight. Your duffle bag was ready and you still had the clothes on your back from earlier today. The only thing you needed was a way out. As you stared down at the long stretch of space between your balcony and the ground below, you knew climbing or jumping down was out of the question.
Before you could wrack your brain for more ideas, you felt the air shift. “Leaving so soon?” Came a familiar mellifluous voice from behind you.
“Uncle Ardyn? What are you doing here?” You asked.
“Visiting a dear friend, of course.” He answered. “As well as to congratulate you on your new position”
You frowned. “How do you know about that?” How did he even know you would be in Insomnia? You haven't seen the older man in a few weeks, let alone earlier today. There was no logical explanation for him knowing about the invitation as well as the proposal.
“I have my ways.” Ardyn answered cryptically. Now that you thought about it, he always knew where to find you and he would always appear at the most opportune moments, usually whenever you needed him or anyone else to talk to. A nagging sense of dread forced the hair at the back of your neck to stand. You trusted uncle Ardyn but something felt off about all of these encounters that you’ve never considered before. But before that nagging feeling could take root, you took a deep breath and forced yourself to relax. This was uncle Ardyn. You have known him since you were five years old. You love him and trust him, sure he is a bit strange and would always appear out of nowhere, but that didn’t mean anything malevolent. Perhaps his magic makes him more intune to your emotions, allowing him to come to your aid whenever you need him. But that still didn’t explain away how he would know where to find you.  “Now, I may not be one to stand on ceremony but such an occasion as this calls for a celebration, don’t you agree?”
“No…I don’t want to be here.” You answered truthfully.
His amber eyes softened. “It's your home you yearn for, isn’t it?”
You nodded your head when an idea came to you. “Do you think you could take me there?”
Ardyn hummed at the request. Perhaps this could be an alternative to his original plan. He truly had no real desire to kill you. You were sweet and kind and full of so much life, he wanted to bask in your light for a little while longer. Stealing you away just might be the next best option. He could take you to the heart of the empire, somewhere far away from the chosen king. But what of the gods? Surely they wouldn’t allow you to part from Noctis for long if your presence was truly needed to fulfill the prophecy.
He sighed wearily. It was probably inevitable that you would find your way back to Insomnia, back to prince Noctis’ side. The only way to keep that scenario from happening is to kill you.  Ardyn suddenly found his mouth to be too dry. “Of course, my dear.” He said before giving you a smile, one he hoped felt real enough to assuage your inquiring mind as well as silence the doubts within his own. “But before we depart, it would be such a shame to allow this cider to go to waste.”
        “Cider?”
With a wave of his hand a bottle of apple cider appeared in his grasp, accompanied by two empty golden goblets. “Sparkling apple juice. It is to your liking, yes?”
You answered yes and Ardyn handed you a cup. The amber liquid bubbled and fizzed as he filled your cup before doing the same to his. He clanked his cup against yours with a gentle, “cheers”, and brought the goblet to his lips. He watched as you mimicked his movements, bringing the cup to your lips. To grant you a peaceful death didn’t take much thought on his part. After finding out your purpose, he plucked a bulb of nightshade from Verstael Besithia’s garden back in Gralea and laced the cider with it. The poison from the plant works swiftly as well as painlessly, easing its victim into a dreamless sleep before gradually killing them in a matter of minutes.
You tilted the cup but before Ardyn could witness you consume the poison, he was suddenly plucked out of reality. First there was darkness, impenetrable and all consuming before a deluge of light burst through the dark and bathed his new surroundings in color.  Shades of blue light illuminated the void. There was a smattering of stars here and there where the light didn’t reach and Ardyn knew where he was instantly. How could he possibly forget this wretched place? His eyes scanned the empty space before they fell upon the being whose very presence ignited a raging fire in his core.
Ardyn gritted his teeth so hard he thought they would crack. “What is it now?” He hissed.
“You know why thou hast been summoned.” The god said, the thunderous boom of his voice echoed across the void. “The child has been chosen to serve an important role in what has been ordained, a role thou is not permitted to disturb.”
Ardyn scoffed, “I wonder what role that may be. Could it be you’ve misjudged the capabilities of your chosen champion, so much so that you must rely on the aid of a new contender?”
“To aid the chosen king in his quest is not her true calling. Her purpose is to thee. She will serve as the catalysis to bring forth your salvation.” Bahamut revealed.
“My salvation?” Ardyn asked. This felt eerily reminiscent of his previous encounter with the apathetic god. So much so that he could already feel the god's inequitable decree in his bones before the words were even uttered. Just like last time, Ardyn knew Bahamut's words would be life altering, soul crushing, and final. And just like last time Ardyn was prepared to rebel, even if that meant getting tortured by Aera's likeness all over again.
“Amidst the darkest hour, she shall serve as a beacon of light and drive away the darkness that distorted thy heart.” Bahamut explained. “Once the girl revives the part of thee that remains unmarred by the dark, thou shalt finally be free of the scourge’s influence and power, in time for thy departure from this world. That shall be your salvation.”
That flame in Ardyn's core burst into a full blown forest fire, incinerating all rational thought until all he could see was red. He could kill him. His fingernails stabbed into the flesh of his palm with the need to tear into the god until Bahamut was nothing but a bloody disfigured heap of flesh. Ardyn gritted his teeth and this time he was sure they were bleeding. He could honestly laugh at the absurdity of his circumstances, stripped of his calling and condemned to two millennia of suffering, only to be made a sacrificial pawn and ordained to be weakened by a cheap copy of his late wife, all to make the duty of slaying him easier on the chosen king. And Bahamut had the audacity to call this salvation.
His eyes narrowed into slits. An inferno resided in his veins, scorching him from the inside out but his anger never wavered. “I have no use for your salva-” His center of gravity collapsed and he was falling through the void. With a violent jolt, he opened his eyes to find himself back inside your guest room. You were still holding the goblet to your lips mid-sip, frozen in time for only a fraction of a second before time resumed and he watched as you gulped down the liquid. You finished with a satisfied "ah" and looked up at him.
“That was really good.” You said, wiping your mouth with your sleeve. “Are you ready to go now?” Ardyn observed you. Your eyes were sharp with crystal clarity, your hands weren’t clammy or shaking, and you didn’t appear seconds away from collapsing. You were completely fine, as though you didn’t just consume Eos’ most dangerous poison.
Ardyn hummed. It seemed you were truly under the gods’ veil of protection. They won’t let any life threatening harm befall you, at least not until the day of reckoning, but no matter. Ardyn knew from experience how easy it is to fall out of the gods’ favor. You won’t be any different, he will make sure of that.
“I’m afraid not, my dear.” Ardyn said.
Your face instantly fell. “B-but you said you would take me!” You whined.
“That I did, at least during a moment of forgetfulness. The roads are quite perilous after dark. It wouldn’t be wise to spirit you away just yet, not with all daemons prowling about at this late hour.” He said and that seemed to appease you a bit. Your shoulders drooped forward and you fiddled with the empty goblet in your hands but you didn’t complain.
You were a sensible girl despite being so young. His Aera was like that too, she was far more reasonable than he was when they were children, much like how you are now. Ardyn had to look away from you. The uncanny similarities between you and her made his heart ache, but those similarities weren't real. You weren’t real. You were just a doppelganger, fashioned by the gods’ with his Aera’s likeness, for the intended purpose of aiding in his destruction.
He refused to let those heartless bastards win. Ardyn didn’t care what he must do, he will make you lose the god’s protection even if that means destroying you.
“Okay…” You said suddenly, turning towards him with your pinkie finger extended. “But pinkie promise you’ll take me there in the morning.”
“How about this,” Ardyn started, curling his hand around yours and lowering your pinkie, “give your stay another few days before you make a final decision. If the royal court is not to your liking, then I will personally escort you back to your beloved home.” He promised when the idea came to him. That is exactly what Ardyn should do, must do, destroy you. Break you, turn you into a shell of your former self. The gods’ have no use for a broken tool and will discard you the same as they did to him.
You wrinkled your nose before shimmying your hand out of his grasp. “Hmm…promise?” You asked, extending your pinkie once more.
Ardyn cracked a smile despite himself and curled his pinkie around yours. “Cross my heart and hope to die, or so they say.” But perhaps he doesn’t have to set his plans for you into motion just yet. There will be time in the future after the fall of Insomnia for that. After all, Ardyn doesn’t want the gods to catch wind of his plan and put a stop to it before it could begin. He could use these years to fool the gods, cultivate your trust and adoration for him and make the gods think their plans are unfolding the way they intended for them to. Once the time comes, he will destroy that illusion and show the gods he cannot be so easily manipulated by a mere copy of his late wife. Once you are thoroughly broken and without the gods’ protection, he will kill you.

A/N: I'd love to! Older!Noctis is absolute obsession! I adore him. Q_Q Thanks for the request!
Tumblr media
Y/N,
I am sure you find it absolutely silly that I'm writing you while we both practically live under the same roof in the Citadel. But... I am just fearful of talking to you face-to-face at current.
A king scared of a woman he would love more than anything to be his queen, and here I am saying this. Please, y/n, forgive me. I just wish I knew what I could say or do at this point given the illness that has somehow stricken you down. I worried it was the resurgence of the gods' wrath, but it is not, much to my partial relief. It is something far more sinister.
Watching you lie in bed, unable to move by much has afflicted my heart into a painful grip of anxiety and despair. There is only so much that any potion can do or doctor as well. Why can't I do more? Why can't the magics of old be in our grip yet again? If I had them, I would remove this from your body without fail. Now, I am saddened to say, I have to watch you suffer till a cure is found.
Will I even be able to rule with you as the time marches on? Y/N, if I must sit at your bedside in these coming weeks or months or even years, I will. Do not think me repulsed by what you've become. I am not. Merely worried how many years we may have left together.
Time is fleeting but regardless of this, I will spend it beside you.
My love will not falter and neither will your soul, y/n. I will walk into the gods' domain to ask them to spare you. Nothing will tear you from me. I will find my answers, and I will see you overcome this mere hurtle. We will come out of this together, stronger than before.
I wish there was more I could say or do to make you find the strength you so rightfully need. I know it is limited, but if you'll allow it, I can still find the courage to try and dance with you. Your legs are probably already hurting just imaging that. No, what I mean is I can hold you in my arms, and I can dance with you that way. You don't have to move by much. Just be with me. That's all I want right now.
If I am going to be honest, it is why I dismissed the maids from tending to you lately. I can handle taking care of my bride-to-be just fine. I don't need outside help. Besides, I see it as robbing me of what I deserve—your love, attention, and time.
Before I was not as concerned as I should have been. You should have been at the forefront of my mind the moment you were appearing withered. I should have listened to Ignis better, and for that, I am sorry. My own advisor knows you better than I it seems, and I got a bit jealous...
That's why I kind of shooed him away too. Sorry if you prefer his affection over mine, but I just couldn't let another be taken from me in any manner.
Honestly, that stab to my heart and ego—it's what I needed. I shouldn't have been so focused on trying to rebuild Insomnia over your own health. What an arrogant fool I was. Y/N, I do pray you'll forgive me. This is why I was scared to talk to you face-to-face. I realized how much I placed you in the shadows, and I shouldn't have done that. You are my life, my world, my everything, and I treated you as though you would always just be there waiting for me to be ready to tend to you.
Can you forgive this idiot of a king? He loves you a lot, and I swear, my actions weren't without consequences. I see that now. But I will have you in my arms and at my side yet again. Even if the gods put me through a trial to prove myself, I will do this.
Even if you put me through a trial to prove myself, I will conquer it all and show I am worthy of you once more.
I love you, my wife-to-be. Forever and always,
Noctis Lucis Caelum

The bright Altissian sun in this fine Monday morning usually does the trick to jumpstart your hectic work day. That, and an excellent cup of coffee coupled with a plateful of pancakes down at Café Leville. This has become your religious routine after living in this scenic city by the sea for almost a year, and for a year it has brought you nothing but small comfort even away from home.
However, the moment you snap awake does not allow you to relish any of these simple pleasures.
Instead, you are greeted by a dizzying wave of nausea as you jump out of bed, hurrying straight to your bathroom, dry heaving into the sink. Your throat is parched by acid, your mouth as metallic as a handful of loose change. Wash, rinse, repeat. By now, you are already used to the bitter taste that always seem to linger at the tip of your tongue—which, you would argue, not as bitter as the day you and Noctis parted ways, but none of it matters now. You are moving forward, you tell yourself in the mirror. You are moving forward, one preposterously lightheaded morning at a time.
You only wish you can say the same to the slowly growing bump in your belly.
Perhaps moving forward is easier said than done. Scratch that—it is always, most infinitely, easier said than done. These last couple of months with Noctis chronicled exactly that: how it is easy for the two of you to say We’ll make time for each other, yet a voicemail is a much reasonable company than an actual phone call; how easy it is for him to say I’ll stay over on occasions he is in town, only for you to wake up to an empty bed; how easy it is for you to say I love you and not truly mean it, how the words tremble and shake with an uncertainty of all the forgotten messages, the forgotten dinners, the forgotten birthdays. You have to say, all those mutually brilliant but doomed attempts of maintaining this long distance relationship is exceptionally impressive, if not quite ambitious. Noctis tried. He really did. And so did you.
The weeks that carried on since the day you saw him last were all a numbing blur. A miserable restart, each day a trial run. At breakfast, he always sat across from you, poured caramel syrup into your pancakes and dashed a little into your cup of coffee. Now, you cannot take the scent of caramel without aching for his sweet smile. You ache for his sweet smile but between you and the shadow of this memory plastered on every empty seat are the hours he did not call back, an immeasurable space, the Cygillan Ocean.
Still, you do not cross the open seas. You do not board the next ship. You choose to live without the high from the sweetener. Besides, why should his absence matter, anyway? You probably have embraced your pillows more than you have ever held him in your arms, kissed your wine glass more than you have ever kissed him. You have drowned your longings in the river of your tears hoping it would cleanse your body from the memory of his warmth. But muscle memory is a curse; it only knows how to remember and does not permit you to forget. If you could, you would kiss as many people as possible just so you can erase the stamp of his lips on yours.
But that’s not you.
So you practice forgetting. They say practice makes perfect, but in the battlefield that is heartbreak, practice is the only thing that makes sense. You unlearn habits that remind you of him. You teach yourself to listen to all the love songs he used to play in the stereo of your living room without flinching at the ghost of his laughter. You teach yourself to play the video games he used to compete with you without hearing the sound of his delighted voice. You say his name over and over and over until it loses its meaning. You do not wait for his call. You do not beg him to stay. You do not ask to keep his promise. You inhale the sickly sweet scent of caramel and do not think of him.
And you have not been thinking of him. But the day you find out about the life growing inside you is the day you finally do.
Someone is knocking at the door of your bathroom. “Hey, you alright?”
You turn to see Crowe leaning by the doorframe, all strained smile and worried eyes, arms folded over her chest. She had been in Altissia on official Lucis Labs business these last couple of weeks; after learning she could not afford a single room in the Leville (“I’m afraid the accommodation for your trip is currently out of our budget,” Ignis had happened to tell her, which she already knew was a code for The collaboration with Niflheim Studios is fucking with our costs and overall finances, hence she did not pursue the subject any further), she opted crashing your place was a much more suitable option.
“You look like a hot mess,” she says, her face screwing into a frown. “You need me to buy something for you? Like, tea? I don’t know what kind of painkillers are safe for pregnant women, but I’ll go ask—“
“No, it’s okay, it’s fine,” you say hurriedly. “I’m fine. You don’t have to.”
“Really? Are you sure?” Crowe studies you with a significant look. You can see in her eyes an unspoken question she is meaning to ask. But she does not ask. She exercises an unlikely tactfulness that does not seem to suit someone like her who never minces their words, veiled in a patience that seems to wait for you to open up and tell her, No, I’m not, this isn’t fine, I don’t think I will ever be fine.
But these words never leave you. You swallow them into a smile and say, “Yeah, I’m sure.” You rake the hair back from your face. “Thank you.”
“Alright then.” Crowe nods thoughtfully, turns to take her leave. But she stops halfway. She circles right back around and looks at you with a serious expression you have come to know so well. “I know this is none of my business, but you know you don’t have to go through this on your own, right?” She rests a steady hand on your shoulder. “I’m here, and you can talk to me anytime, whenever you are ready. Okay?”
You weakly nod. “Yeah, okay.”
“Good. Now don’t even bother going to work—I’ll be dropping by AW, anyway, and I’ll let Weskham know you’re sick. You go get some rest. Got it?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Crowe smiles, gently pats you in the back. She edges imperceptibly towards the hallway and out of your sight. You close the door behind you, take a shower, press your head on the cold tile. You listen as Crowe goes through the motions of her own morning routine: the soft sizzle of the pan from the kitchen, the whistle from the kettle, the thrum of the bass from the stereo. None of it distracts you from the thoughts that seem to echo louder than the steady humdrum, nor the idea that has been troubling you for quite some time.
Maybe I should try calling Noctis again…
And you do. Well, not after a few moments of procrastination, of course—you know, get dressed, grab a slice of Crowe’s waffles, turn on the TV yet not quite watching anything for thirty minutes—with the hopes of maybe, quite possibly, you can sober up from the ridiculous idea. But the notion of it grows more stubborn by the minute. In the end, you could not resist. You fish your phone out, scroll through your contacts. You hover around Noctis’s name, and with a deep breath, you press the button.
The other line rings once, twice. Thrice. Four times. Five. He does not pick up, and you are only greeted by his almost too-mechanical voicemail. Hi, this is Noctis. I’m either on a call or away from my desk. Please leave your name, number, and the reason you’d like to chat, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
A beep follows. A sudden surge of fear clogs your throat. How does one even begin this kind of message? If you have been more brazen, or more confident, you would have gone on to say Hi, this is your ex, I am nine weeks pregnant with your child, please call back at your earliest convenience. Or maybe a simple, Hi, Noct, it’s been a while, we really need to talk. But you are neither brazen nor confident at the moment. You are all too reckless and emotional and tired and really just straight up fucking hormonal.
So you do not say a word and you hang up. A breeze flutters through your windows to occupy the silence. You do not try calling him again.
At the breakfast table, Noctis has been awfully quiet. The selection of food before him is as appetizing as any feast, but he does not feel like eating. He has been staring out into the glimmering expanse of the Cygillan Ocean from the balcony of his hotel room, trying to distract himself from the wafting scent of coffee, bacon and pancakes, and caramel. Especially the caramel. A  strange thing to be sure, to shy away from relishing the signature delicacies of Hotel Leville at this fine, Altissian morning.
But for him, these simple pleasures only conjure the ghosts of all the memories he has of you.
It is almost a year and a half since Noctis last visited the city, yet everywhere feels like it has been suspended in time. Nothing seems to have changed: the warm sea salt breeze and ship-bourne markets; the vibrant thoroughfare and maze of streets; the throng of tourists lining up for gondola rides. Once, you had insisted that the two of you brave the long queue just so you could watch the lantern festival out by the docks. He still remembers that luminous night as if it was just yesterday: the sky encrusted by stars, the slow rise of paper lanterns trailing like fireflies, how your face was illuminated in the light. How he was caught by the teeth of your charm. How you kissed him without paying the gondolier any mind. How until now, he is still at the mercy of the memory of that night—and quite frankly, all his other days with you—all of which he thought he had forgotten. But he has not forgotten. He has never forgotten you.
And him being here after all this time…
All he knows is your specter is all over the city. Every street and alley magnifies all of his shortcomings, his mistakes, the time he has lost.
Across from him, Ignis stirs from reading the morning paper, looks up at Noctis with an expression that is achingly conscious behind the reason of his brooding silence.
“Is everything alright, Noct?” Ignis asks; he folds the paper and sets it down. “We have a meeting at nine o’clock with—“
“By any chance, could you cancel all my meetings with Weskham and those annoying brats from Niflheim Studios this morning and move it tomorrow?” says Noctis, not meeting the keenness of Ignis’s curious gaze as he rises out of his seat. “Tell them it’s a personal emergency that I need to attend to.”
Ignis purses his lips for a moment, as if carefully crafting his response. He smiles. Then, he says, “Very well. Send her my regards, then.”
Noctis scoffs. Of course. “That obvious, huh.”
“Frankly, it’s about bloody time.” Ignis pushes his glasses back to the bridge of his nose, takes a sip of coffee. “The fact that it took you more than a year to gather this courage to make amends is beyond me.”
“I, um… well—“ Noctis stammers, reaches for the back of his head; Ignis is never one to pull any punches, and that teasing jab is something Noctis knows that he rightly deserves. “It hasn’t been easy,” he adds sullenly.
Ignis sighs. “And I could only imagine it hasn’t been easy for her, either.”
Noctis does not say anything. He considers Ignis for a fraction of a moment. To be fair, Ignis is right. Surely, Noctis could not fault Ignis for taking your side; he had been the one assuaging all your worries when Noctis was constantly away on business. The splinter of truth in his words is a sharp dagger of guilt right through the heart. And yet, Noctis feels like there is more to it. He wills himself to probe further, and—
“I apologize for speaking out of turn,” Ignis says solemnly. “Do you need me to accompany you? Or Gladio, perhaps?”
“No, I can manage.” Noctis smiles, waves a diffident hand. “I’ll see you guys later.”
“Best of luck,” says Ignis as Noctis ambles away and out of the door.
Aiden’s cheery, bell-like laughter is swelling throughout the living room of your apartment—this utterly gregarious baby extremely amused with your exceptional talent in making silly faces—when you hear a knock at the door.
“Mummy’s going to be right back, Mr. Sweetface!” You give him a playful kiss and you hurry down the hall, unlatch the lock, and open the door with the remains of your beaming smile. “Hi, how can I— oh.”
You blink. The smile on your face immediately falters. With a numbing sense of disbelief, it takes approximately ten uncomfortable seconds for you to acknowledge that the man before you is Noctis.
“Hello,” he says. Even after all this time, the features of his face remain the same: his manner and bearing sharper, striking, yet much more handsome than before—truly and unjustly so; and those blue eyes, much like your son’s.
You open the door a little wider, still staring at him, letting the silence stretch longer than the first. “Hi,” you finally say.
“How are you?”
“Fine.”
He nods. “That’s great.”
“I didn’t know you were in town.”
“We just came in this morning. You know, for the merger.”
“Oh. Right.”
Another strained pause. It does not last long when Aiden’s delighted giggles burst the silence like a pin popping a balloon.
Noctis curiously peers over your shoulder. “Sorry, I—is that—“
“Shit, um—please come in,” you say, almost too hastily. Noctis is taken aback, slightly hesitating, but he indulges your invitation all the same. You usher him down the hall and into the white-washed brightness of your living room. “Have a seat,” you tell Noctis, gesturing to the couch as you pick Aiden up. “Congrats, by the way. For adding another gaming firm in your slowly growing empire.”
He squirms a little in his seat. “Well, I’m sorry—”
“Oh, we both know you’re not sorry,” you say dryly. He laughs. “Weskham’s been expecting that move for quite some time.”
“Right.” He pauses. Then: “He’s adorable,” he says with a strangely pleasant smile as Aiden waves at him, all bubbly and giggly.
“Yeah, he truly is.” The sudden quiver in your voice startles you. You clear your throat and say, “Well, he can get a little rowdy sometimes, but, yeah. Um—“ you bite your lip, trying to quell the sudden surge of emotion at the pit of your stomach— “would you mind if I take him back to his room first?”
“Sure,” says Noctis.
“C’mon, my Mr. Sweetface,” you say, pressing another kiss on Aiden’s chubby cheeks as you disappear into the next room, tucking him back to his crib. With Noctis briefly out sight, you take deep, shuddery breaths. You squeeze your eyes shut. You have imagined many a scenario on how you would run into Noctis one of these days, and quite frankly, this is not one of them.
You heave another breath, steady your trembling hands, muster a year’s worth of hard-earned forbearance before you walk right back out into the living room. You see Noctis, hands on the pocket of his perfectly tailored pants, studying and browsing pictures of you and Aiden perched on your shelves.
“Didn’t know you had a kid,” he says, holding a frame in hand.
There are so many things you could say at this point, but instead, you choose to say nothing.
Seeming to sense your unease, Noctis turns to you and smiles warmly, the same way he always does whenever he reaches out to assuage any of your worries. “Where’s his dad?” he asks curiously. Then, raising a hand as if to backpedal, he gingerly adds, “I mean, if you don’t mind my asking. I’ll understand if you don’t want to talk about it… wait, is everything okay?”
“I’m fine,” you say, but your voice cracks. So does your façade of bravery. Maybe it’s Noctis’s voice that first brought you to tears, or probably how gently he raised such a curious question which he had every right to ask and had every right to know the answer. Or maybe, it’s how he carefully crossed the space between the two of you—no more open seas, no more distance and time—with such reassured steps.
He firmly rests his hands on your shoulders. “I’m sorry for prying, I shouldn’t have asked that—“
“No, no,” you croak. “It’s only right that you asked. And I’m sorry for not telling you sooner. I really am. And I…” You falter into a pause. “I didn’t mean to keep him from you, Noct.”
You watch as the fine machinery of his face begin to grind into a slow realization. His hands fall away from you, his breath stutters into a hitch. “Wait, are you saying…”
You stare at him and nod.
He stares back. The blank expression on his face drifts to a quiet  yet seething shock. He falls back on the couch, buries his face in the palm of his hands.
“When exactly were you planning to tell me?” he says, after a long, excruciating silence.
You sigh. “To be honest, Noct? I’ve already tried. So many times and in so many ways. You never returned any of my messages, never picked up when I called. I mean, sure, if you ask me, whoever’s your new personal assistant needs to get their shit together on sorting your business and personal affairs, but yeah—I get it. You’re a busy guy. Busier now, more than ever. And I… I just got tired of always being the only one trying to reach out.” You shake your head, press your hands together. “I mean, at some point, when I was five months pregnant, I went back to Insomnia and dropped by the office just to talk to you in person. But you weren’t there.”
He lifts an incredulous brow. “Wait, you were in the city? How come I didn’t know about this?”
“That’s what I’d like to know,” you say flatly. “That fella from Niflheim Studios—Ardyn, is it? He never told you, did he?”
“Hold on—“ his mouth twists into a grimace— “what’s Ardyn got to do with this—“
“He was the first one I saw when I dropped by the Citadel. I assumed he knew me; he called me by name, which I thought was strange. Anyway. I told him I had to see you. He said you were in Tenebrae for some conference, and he’d let you know as soon as he was able. When I didn’t get at least a single call or message from you, it’s either he never told you or you didn’t care at all—“
“That son of a bitch.” His face hardens, his hands curl into fists. “I swear, that bastard will pay for—“
“Noct.” You catch him by his wrist. “Please don’t.”
He says nothing, and so do you. This time, the silence that lingers is doused with regret. Noctis draws a heavy, wistful sigh. He slips his hand in yours. You let him.
“I always wonder what ever happened to us,” he says quietly.
“Life happened, that’s what,” you sniff with a small laugh. “I’m sorry for not trying harder—“
“No, no, don’t— I’m the one who’s sorry, more than anything,” he says sharply, his voice on the brink of breaking. “I’m… I am really sorry for letting this you go through all of this alone. For not being here with you and our son.” He wipes his eyes with one hand, the other shaking against yours. “And look—I’m not asking you to forgive me now. But I’ll do whatever it takes to make it up to you. If you would allow me.”
You consider Noctis for a while. He holds your gaze, firm and true. “Of course I would,” you hear yourself murmur under your breath, choking back the tears. “I would love nothing more.”
The bright Altissian sun in this summer morning has not changed in the last three years. But what has changed, however, is the company in which you keep.
In the balcony of your apartment, you watch Noctis make the silliest of faces in front of Aiden. The sound of their laughter rings like a song. The boy squeals “Daddy!” as Noctis takes him in his arms, pressing a kiss on his forehead, giving him a snuggle.
For a moment, Noctis turns to look at you and smiles. He does not say anything. Yet somehow, you know that this is more than enough.

The air was warm against your skin as you awaited the return of Prince Noctis, your brother Prompto, Gladio, and Ignis; your back flush against the warmed ivory column that was a part of the entrance into the castle of Insomnia. Your brow raised as the four young men opened the door, Noctis's face a fed-up expression like usual. The blonde male, your brother, let out a sigh and motioned you to follow the group as they continued to walk.
The soft sound of pages being turned and pen scraping against the soft flat surface of the paper was like music to your ears as you did research on the different places in Eos that you would be seeing on your way to Altissia for Prince Noctis's wedding. Your friend, and crush, Ignis walked up with two cans of Ebony, his arm extending as he sat beside you at the library table. You thanked him and began tidying up the table so he could set his can down when he wasn't drinking any of his Ebony.
"You're really excited about this trip, aren't you, hm?" He placed his Ebony down softly and took the book from your hands, his long slender fingers flipping through the pages.
"You want to swim in Galdin?"
"Ye-Yeah. I think it would be fun." He pushed his glasses up at the bridge and gave a soft hum.
"I can make sure we will go swimming. Go get prepared for the trip. The King wants to speak with Noctis, Gladio, your brother, and me before we set off for Hammerhead. I'm sure you'd love to make sure you have everything you need. I'll clean this up for you."
"Thanks, Iggy." You gave a soft smile before placing a soft kiss on his cheek. "You're the best. Ignis became flustered, his cheeks turning a soft pink as you left the study to head to your room.
After promising to the King that you all would be by Noct every step of the way, you climbed into the back of the Regalia with Noctis and Gladio while Prompto climbed into the passenger seat and Ignis took the driver seat. You waved goodbye to Cor who closed the door and then smiled at Ignis as he looked at you through the rearview mirror.
"Well. Princes will be Princes." He said with a matter-of-fact tone as he smiled at you slightly.
"So much for royal protocol." Added Ignis as he ran his fingers through his ash-brown hair.
"Not like you had to give a royal address." The muscular dark-haired man, Gladio stated.
"Your Highness!" Drautos, King Regis's right-hand man called out, walking carefully behind the King as they made their way down to the five of you.
In the midst of Prompto driving, after Ignis agreed to take a break from driving, the Regalia broke down. Noctis, Gladio, and Prompto waited outside of the car trying to get someone to stop and help. When you suggested that you could easily get someone to pull over Ignis shot you a glare and pointed at the front seat making you move into the seat beside him.
"We all ready to head out?" You asked, feeling super excited about getting to meet Lady Lunafreya.
"Tch. I'm ready as I'll ever be." Noct said as he rested his head back against the back of the leather seat, closing his eyes as Iggy began to drive."
"What? I-I was just stating-."
"U-Uh… really?" Noct sounded defeated as yet another vehicle passed by without stopping to check to see if you all were okay or not.
After paying with the rest of the fund you and Ignis returned to the other three handing Prompto and Noctis their snacks and drinks and handing Gladio his drink before plopping down on Ignis's lap after he sat down. He tensed up, his cheeks going red as he cleared his throat then opened his Ebony and took a drink. You pulled your phone out and began playing some King's Knight while leaning back against him to rest your head on his shoulder. He froze, hiding his face slightly as Prompto snapped a photo of the both of you.
After agreeing to push the vehicle to Hammerhead and getting settled in so you could rest, a blonde woman who was the mechanic of the place introduced herself as Cindy. You smiled and shook her hand introducing yourselves. While she and her grandfather, Cid, worked on the car, Ignis asked if you could join him in gathering supplies while the other rested at the diner.
"Sorry about the Regalia, Y/N. I know how excited you are about the travel." Ignis said with a soft smile, his green eyes looking into yours.
"Hey... don't worry about it. I'll love every step of the way as long as I have you by my side. You're my best friend and I'm glad to have you four with me. So. Are we going to just set up camp here then?"
"I don't know. Hopefully, the Regalia will be done by nightfall but if we have to stay here then so be it." You nodded with a smile and grabbed some Ebony along with a few other necessities that might be needed for the trip.
"Hm. We are low on funds. Maybe there is a way to earn some?" You asked looking over at him.
"Maybe we can ask Cindy about where we can earn some Gil." You gave a quick nod.
Prompto made you stay back at Hammerhead while they did some bounties to make the quick Gil so it was slightly boring for you until Cindy offered that you could help if you wanted. It piqued your interest so you greed, allowing her to show you the ropes. It was so fascinating learning about the car and all of the different parts along with what they did. When the boys returned the car was ready to go but since it was getting late, Cindy lent the group some Gil to pay for you to stay at the camper next to Takka's diner.
"So what now?" Gladio asked taking a gulp of his drink.
"I say we talk to Cindy to see if there is any way we are able to earn some quick Gil for the travels ahead." Prompto nodded at Iggy's statement and took more pictures here and there.
"Sounds good. The sooner we can get out of here the better." Noct said as he stood, yawning and stretching. After quickly finishing your level you stood and pushed your phone into your pocket following the guys to the garage to talk with the blonde mechanic.
Gladio, Prom, and Noct sat outside at the tables playing King's Knight together while you watched Ignis work his magic in the kitchen. Your eyes stayed glued to his forearms after he rolled his sleeves up, his veins popping out slightly as his muscles flexed with each movement. You couldn't help but be mesmerized by his hands and how expertly he moved his fingers as he added ingredients and used the utensils to cook the food. You could almost imagine how they would feel against your skin. Since you were so caught up in watching how his hands worked, you didn't hear him speaking to you.
Once everyone was done and the dishes were cleaned, you and the guys quickly changed into nightclothes. The feeling of someone's eyes on you made you shudder. You turned to see Ignis quickly looking away and you felt yourself becoming flustered as you climbed into the camper bed. Knowing you would be sharing the bed with Ignis made your heart race even more. You currently had two emotions running through you at the moment. Nervousness about sharing the bed with Iggy and you just felt off as if something bad was bound to happen soon. You just shook it off as nerves.
"Y/N? Are you alright?" You began to blush and gave a nervous laugh as you rubbed the back of your neck.
"Ye-Yes, Iggy? I'm um I'm fine. Do you need anything from me?" Your face grew hot as Ignis raised a brow at you before continuing to cook. Once he plated the food he handed you two plates, one being for Prompto and the other being for yourself.
"Just relax is all I ask of you. I'll see if Gladio will help with the dishes after we all get done eating."
After saying goodnight and turning the lights off you felt the bed dip from the weight of Ignis climbing into the bed and resting his head on his pillow. You couldn't help but to turn and face him, the light from outside spilling in and highlighting his features. It was rare to see Ignus without his glasses and frankly, he looked ethereal. Seeing him like this took the nervousness away. You gasped and went to turn away as he opened his eyes, turning his head to look at you until you felt his large hand wrap around your wrist.
The next day you said your saying goodbyes to Cindy before heading off to Galdin Quay. Gladio sat in the back with you and Noct again as Prompto sat in the passenger seat taking photos along the way. You smiled as Gladio wrapped an arm around you, pulling you against him, sharing one of his favorite books with you to help pass the time. Ignis chuckled as you stuck your tongue out at Prompto when he began taking pics of you and Gladio before you returned to Gladio's book.
"Is something troubling you, Y/N?" His voice was low as he let go of your wrist and reached up brushing a loose strand of your hair behind your ear, sending electricity through you as his soft skin brushed against your cheek.
"Just… I feel as if something basis going to happen. Something just doesn't feel right, Iggy."
"I assure you it's nothing. You should get some rest. First thing in the morning we will be heading to Galdin Quay." He gave a soft smile before you turned and faced your back to him again. The feeling of Ignis scooting closer made you smile to yourself unaware of him being hesitant at first wrapping an arm around you; his warmth helping you drift off to sleep.
You were finally in Galdin. You made your way across the water on the wooden alk way toward the entrance of where the restaurant was located, running into a very mysterious man in strange yet fancy-looking clothing with wine-red hair and golden eyes. You couldn't deny how attractive the man was and found yourself staring at him. You raised a brow as Ignis stepped in front of you slightly as the man's eyes landed on yours.
You were informed by a man named Dino who is a journalist that yes the docks are closed only temporarily but he could pull some strings and get a boat for the group but only if you agreed to help out with something. He needed some help gathering some ore for his side job as a jeweler.
"I'm afraid you're out of luck." The man's voice was husky with a sly tone weaved in. It sounded like heaven.
"Are we now?" Noctis asked sounding a bit irritated.
"The boats bring you here." He stated motioning back to the dock where the ships usually stop for passengers and goods that are being transported.
"What about 'em?" Prompto asked looking a tad nervous like he usually does.
"Well, they'll not take you forth." The man said looking a bit defeated, scratching the back of his head under his hat.
"And what's your story?" Gladio looked upset as the man began to walk through your group towards the walkway.
"I'm an impatient traveler. Ready to turn ship. The ceasefire's getting us nowhere." He said holding something in his hand before flicking it towards Noctis. Gladio caught it before it could hit Noct's face.
"Tch, what's this? Some kind of souvenir?" Gladio asked examining the coin.
"They make those?" Prompto asked excitedly.
"What? No!" Noct looked at your brother with a warning glare.
"Consider it your allowance." The man said with a slight smile.
"Oh yeah? And who's 'allowing' us?" Gladio looked pretty fed up at this point as he looked at the guy. Your cheeks became flushed and you felt your throat tighten as the man's eyes landed on you with a smirk on his face.
"A man of no consequence." He said before turning and leaving.
"Yeah right…" Noct said rolling his eyes.
"Do you trust what he was saying?" Prompto asked grabbing your hand to make sure you were okay.
"I am skeptical yet I won't brush off the possibility that it may be. Let us go check it out for ourselves. Shall we?" Ignis looked over at you as you nodded and gave your brother's hand a squeeze before walking to the docks.
Since the group agreed, you asked if you could come along. It was just gathering some gems so there would be no fighting involved. The guys agreed so you felt excited to be a part of the group like when they went out to do certain bounties and tasks. Even though it was just collecting the gems, you still felt like you were doing something. Prompto chuckled and ruffled your hair as you all headed to the car to drive to the nearby location Dino had pointed out for you all where the ore was.
Ignis stopped and grabbed your hand out of instinct, pulling you against himself as he nodded toward what made him stop. It was a giant bird that they saw during one of their bounties in Hammerhead, You blushed at how close you were, yours and his nose brushing as he looked back down at you, the guys staring at the two of you. You cleared your throat softly so as to not wake the beast and pulled away.
The next morning you woke a bit before Noctis. Gladio smirked and nudged your brother as soon as he saw you sit up. Prompto smiled and grabbed a plate that had a muffin on it with a note from Ignis then walked over, sat beside you, and handed it to you.
"I can stay here. You guys go ahead and get the gem. Just to be safe." You stated meekly, knowing what they were going to suggest anyway. Iggy gave a nod and motioned for the other three to follow him carefully and quietly.
You covered your mouth and hid behind the jagged rock as the giant bird woke. It stood, straightening its wings, and flew off causing a huge strong gust of wind, allowing the guys to grab the gem with no problem. Of course, Prompto took a quick snapshot of the creature before it was able to fly away then quickly met up with the guys. When they returned and you were all walking back to the Regalia, Gladio nudged Ignis with a smirk.
"So... what was that about earlier, huh?" Ignis froze as he became flustered, pushing his glasses up nervously and continuing to walk.
"What do you mean?" Iggy cleared his throat as he glanced over at you who had a matching red face.
"Yeah. What do you mean, Gladdy?" You asked raising a brow while crossing your arms over your chest, huffing a little.
"Come on, sis. I've known you had a crush on Igni- ow!"
"Prompto! Shut up!" You punched his arm and looked away, feeling too flustered to look at Ignis. "Le-Let's just hurry back to Dino and give him his stupid rock. It's getting dark anyway."
Since it was going to be overnight until he boat would arrive, the five of you check into your hotel that Dino paid for and changed into swim suits. Once you stepped out of the bathroom, Ignis, Gladio,a nd Noct froze. Their eyes glueing to you as they stared at you in awe. Prompto stepped in front of you and crossed his arms.
"Guys... You two also? C'mon now. Let's head to the water, sis." Your brother said with one last glare before heading down to the beach with you.
When the other three arrived you flung some water at Gladio, laughing as he ran into te water and splashed you back. Ignis sat at the edge of the water watching you, Gladio, Prompto, and Noctis play. When you noticed he wasn't in the water you swam over then walked over to him, his green eyes looking up at you.
"Come join me, Iggy? Relax and have some fun. Please?" You gave him puppy dog eyes with a cute pout.
"Oh, alright." He stood and grabbed your hand, walking into the water with you. "You um. You look beautifu." Ignis felt stupid and couldn't find the right words as you placed your hands on his shoulders, using the water as leverage to wrap your legs around his hips, locking them behind him. You smiled and placed a kiss to his cheek then rested your head against the crook of his neck.
"Thanks, Iggy. You're so tense. Relax, yeah?" He let out a shaky breath and relaxed as best as he could, holding you close.
You couldn't sleep as you listened to the sound of Noctis, Prompto, and Gladio snoring. Noticing Ignis wasn't making any noise you turned to face him. In the dim lighting you could see he was laying on his back until he noticed you were facing him, his eyes were now on you. He opened his arms, hinting for you to get closer so you did. Ignis gave a small smile and rested his hand on your lower back while you lay your head on his chest. He took his free hand and grabbed yours. You looked up at him, taking in his beauty, listening to his quickening heartbeat.
"Your heart is beating so fast." Your voice was a quiet whisper as you sat up on your arms slightly, looking down into his eyes.
"It's nothing. YOu should get some rest now. Tomorrow we will be on our way to see Lady Lunafreya."
"Okay." You were hesitant but you lay back down, pressing a kiss to his jawline. "Goodnight, Iggy."
"Goo-. Hm." He cleared his throat and tightened his arm around you. "Goodnight, Y/N."
You felt butterflies in your stomach as he gently kissed your forehead, his finger tips running up and down your side before he finally fell asleep. You fell asleep shortly after listening to the sound of his heart softly drumming against his chest and his quiet breathing.
“For 'Darling’. Ignis left this for you.” He said with a smirk before heading over to stand with Gladio again.
Noct sat up and yawned, stretching a bit before he got out of bed while rubbing his eyes. Finally, the prince of slumber was awake. You smiled as you began to eat the muffin Iggy had left for you. It was your favorite. He must’ve remembered.
You felt your face grow warm as you opened the note which read:
'Darling. I will be back shortly. I needed to go gather some supplies. Do enjoy. I want you to have some sustenance before we head out to meet Lady Luna. -Iggy’
You couldn’t say anything as you all made your way back towards Insomnia. Seeing all of the giant Imperial ships flying overhead made your heart sink, knowing what the papers said are true. Ignis had to turn off the to the side road since the Imperials sat up a blockade. Since the four would be going to investigate, you agreed to stay behind in the Regalia.
“Heya. Mornin’.” Prompto greeted.
“Where’s Specs?” He asked, placing his hands on his hips.
“Should be back any minute now.” Gladio reassured him. A few moments later Iggy returned with a newspaper in hand and a glum look on his face.
“What’s that look for?” Noct asked curiously as Iggy handed the paper to Gladio.
“It’s in all the papers.” Iggy said with a somber tone.
“What is?” Noct looked like he was growing impatient like a child being told to wait patiently for a treat.
“Insomnia falls-” Prompto read.
“What?! Is this your idea of a joke?” Noct spat angry words at Ignis.
“I need you to calm down so I can explain.” Ignis tried to speak reason. You stood and walked over to Iggy, unsure of what was going on.
“I’m as calm as I’m gonna get-.”
“There was an attack. The Imperials have taken the Crown City.” You covered your mouth as Gladio began to read from the paper. The King was found dead.
“No wait…. hold on. It’s lies.”
“If only.” Prompto said, turning to look at the group. “We have to turn back.”
“It may not be safe for us there-.” Ignis said with concern.
“It may not be safe for us here.” He added. And he was right. What if the Imperials look for us here.
“Turn back?” Gladio asked, looking at Noct.
“Yeah.”
Before they could walk off, you grabbed Prompto’s wrist and pulled him close, wrapping your arms around him tightly, and resting your forehead against his. You were terrified. Out of all the dangerous missions they had done before, knowing the Imperials were involved made you worry more than usual. He gave a small smile as he placed his hand on your cheek.
“Don’t worry bout me, lil sis. I’ll be well taken care of.”
“You better be. I’ll kick their asses if you aren’t.” He let out a soft chuckle before meeting up with the others. Ignis patted Prompto’s shoulder with a nod before they all vanished behind the walls leading to the overlook of Insomnia. The sounds of gunshots make your heart sink due to not knowing what was going on.
~A Few Days Later~
The group was finally in Lestallum to meet up with Gladio's little sister, Iris. It was nice to finally be able to sleep in an actual bed again after having to camp on the ground in a tent for a bit. You, however, felt extremely nervous since you would be rooming with Ignis while Gladio roomed with Noctis and Prompto. Ignis seemed irritated as Gladio kept going on about everything he wanted to do and what things the group should do with Iris. Gladio raised a brow when you walked over, placing your hands on his shoulders and kissing his cheek.
"How about we all rest a bit and tomorrow we can get some cup noodles then go exploring with Iris? Does that sound good? I'm sure Ignis would love a breather. He's been the driver after all." Gladio looked between the two of you and gave a small nod then left with a wink at Ignis.
"You didn't have to do that." Ignis stated as he began unbuttoning his shirt and then taking his gloves off.
"I-I um. I know. I just figured you needed to relax is all." You assured as you averted your eyes from him when he opened his shirt, pulling it off and folding it, placing it on the bed before walking over to you. He placed his index and middle finger under your chin, tilting your head up and making you look into his eyes.
"You've been awfully quiet as of late. Is it something I've done?" Your heart broke at the expression of worry on his face.
"Of course not, Iggy! You could never do something that would upset me. You always do so much for us and it's just... all of this is so much but with you around. it puts me at ease." You smile up at him, resting your hands against his bare chest.
"I try to protect you as much as I can. I can't bear losing you, Y/N." You felt your face grow warm as he pulled your face close to his, your lips brushing against his as the door opened up.
"Hey, Iggy. You think we could go out and eat tonigh- oh my Shiva!" Prompto looked up from his camera, his eyes going wide as you quickly pulled away. Noctis stood behind him with a smirk. Ignis let out a sigh as he walked over to his bag and grabbed a fresh shirt.
"I-I'm going to get some fresh air." Prompto grabbed your arm softly before you could walk passed him and Noct.
"N-No. We can leave."
"It's okay really. I just.. need some fresh air. I have my phone if you need me. Now, I better go. I feel as if I'm going to pass out." Prompto gave a nod and let you pass so you could leave.
Lestallum is such a beautiful city at night. The air filled with the delicious aroma of all kinds of foods and sweets. You took note of the nearby restaurant you wanted to check out on the way back to the room while making your way down to the overlook that gave a beautiful view of the Disc of Cauthess. You were so caught up in its beauty that you didn't hear footsteps as someone walked up behind you, stopping beside you.
"Beautiful... isn't it?" That voice.

A Fic where King Noctis and his wife chill.
In this fic, Noctis lives- the ending we all wanted for ffxv- the reader and her king taking a day to just relax, just as they did before King Regis’ death. Noctis and the reader have known each other since childhood, just around the time prompto had befriended the prince. Nothing but cute fluff here.
There were months in preparations for a day where the king and his queen could take a day for themselves, both of them working extra hard so nothing could disturbed them on their days off. Of course it wasn’t for sure there wouldn’t be any disturbances or any emergencies at all, but right now they were just focusing on themselves.
Warm light would make it way through the curtains, a small line of sunshine hitting the kings eyes. Squinting he tried turning away, only to realize he was holding his wife, Noctis opened his eyes, flinching as the light hit directly towards his eyes, adjusting to the sunlight, he turned to look at her, a faint smile showing on his lips. With his free hand he moved a strand of hair from her face, caressing her in the process. This made her squirm, her hands moving to wrap themselves around him, tightening once she did. Stretching her legs, she yawned her eyes slowly opening to look at the cause of her disturbance. Adjusting to the sunlight, she looked directly at Noctis, his smile causing her to smile as well- “Did I wake you, my love?” She couldn’t help but smile wider, her happiness showing on her face, closing her eyes, she nuzzled onto his chest, her nose inhaling his scent.
Giggling she looked at him, their eyes making contact, “Yeah, you did. How’re you going to make up for it?” She teasingly said to him, her smile showing once again. It’s been a while since they’ve shared a morning together, waking up in each other’s warmth and being able to stay in bed a little longer than the usual. This was pure bliss, her husband caressing her cheek. “Hm,” he pretended to think, “I’m not sure- how about, some kisses?” Nodding eagerly she giggled. Noctis placed his lips on her cheek, kissing it many times before moving to her forehead, as he continued he had kissed anywhere that weren’t her lips. Pampering her with as many as he could. Still expectant she placed her index finger on her lips, showing him where she wanted her next kiss to be, “oh? You want a kiss there?” Feigning ignorance he placed a kiss on the corner of her mouth, then below it, and then on the other side of her mouth. This made her huff, pretending to be upset towards him, “alright alright,” he chuckled, his hand moving to hold her chin as he ducked his head down, their differences in height evident even in bed, placing his lips onto hers, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer to him.
Her eyes closed, her lips kissing him back, they fit so well together, a sign showing of how much they were meant for each other. Once he pulled away she sighed contently, unwrapping her arms from around him, she sat up, his arms coming loose as she did, “Alright Noct! I’m already to get up!” She stretched her arms upwards, stretching in the process- “Nope,” his arms wrapped tightly around her stomach, pulling her back down towards the bed, yelping in surprise she turned to look at him “today’s our day off, and I rather much spend it in bed today, with you” of course there were still moments were even the king would get embarrassed about what he would say, a light blush dusting his cheeks, “but, what about breakfast?” Trying to be the voice of reason she tried to convince him, “Nope, we’ll call roomservice.” He put up a good argument, nodding to what he said in agreement she nuzzled into him, getting comfortable once more.
Needles to say, room service was called, due to the fact that when the king had his day off, so does his royal advisor.
That was my absolute, first fic, omg I hope it’s enjoyed, have a nice day! I do have requests open! So go ahead and drop whatever you want written!

Ten years of darkness.
Ten years of nothing but fighting daemons and trying to survive.
Ten years of not knowing where the new king was, nor his companions.
It was a terrifying thought that they may have perished in Niflheim. Prince Noctis, Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus... No one spoke of them, no one knew where they were, no one knew of their last location inside of Niflheim. There were rumors that Prompto, Ignis and Gladio managed to make it out alive, but there was nothing of Noctis. Even if these rumors were true, the three crownsguard had basically fallen off the map. The world relied on hope, hope that Noctis was alive, that he would return soon to his beloved kingdom, that maybe one day the world will feel the golden rays of the sun once more.
And thankfully, that was true. The only problem was that Noctis returned ten years later at the docks of Gauldin Quay. No one knew where he came from, or what his plans were, but all you could remember that day was the relief you felt after seeing his vaguely familiar face arrive at Hammarhead. Not only that, but the other three had returned as well. They all looked much older, along with exhausted and drained. It was a hard sight, but you could tell they were happy to see each other.
When his eyes landed on you, though, you saw relief wash over his features. Noctis walked towards you, almost afraid that you weren’t real. But when you reached out and took his hand, a shaky breath left his lips as he embraced you quickly, holding onto you for dear life.
“I’ve missed you so much.” You whispered sadly, your eyes falling shut as tears escaped and fell down your cheeks. “I-I was so scared when you didn’t return from Niflheim, we all thought you had-” He stopped you by cupping your cheeks carefully and wiping away your tears with his thumbs.
“None of that matters right now. I’m here now, and I have one last battle to win.” Noctis whispered, furrowing his brows. “After that, I’ll see you again, and we can move on with our life together.” He continued, running his fingers through your hair.
You nodded hesitantly, looking down. “I love you, Noctis...” You whispered, your voice weak. “I can’t lose you again.”
“I know. I’m not going anywhere this time.” He reassured, pressing his forehead to yours. “You know that, don’t you? I won’t leave you again.” Noctis murmured, making you look into his eyes. They held some kind of reluctance, as if he was afraid that maybe that isn’t true. You didn’t comment on it though, you were just thankful that you could see him again, even if it was for the last time.
“I’m coming with you.” You told him, which he shook his head to.
“You can’t.” Noctis responded, frowning slightly.
“But I have to. I can’t risk losing you again and never seeing you.” You retorted, gripping onto his hands tightly. “I... I can’t go through that again.”
Noctis seemed to hesitate at your response, sighing as he nodded. “I can’t stop you, if you want to come, then that’s your choice. But whatever happens in Insomnia... You have to move on from it.” He whispered, looking down at your hands. “It’ll be dangerous, you’ll have to be strong.”
“I know.” You answered, a look of dejection forming in your features. Both of you knew what was going to happen, even if neither of you said it. Noctis was sacrificing his life for you, his friends, and for the world, just so you all may see the light again. It was a heavy price, one that you weren’t sure you agreed with. Noctis was an innocent man, he shouldn’t have to sacrifice everything for the sins of another. It made you angry.
“Let’s take our mind off of it for now, okay?” He whispered, furrowing his brows. “Tonight is one of our last, let’s make it worth it.” Noctis stated, turning to the other crownsguards. They all nodded in agreement, before slowly walking towards the gates.
Tonight was their last night together. It was their last camp, their last meal, their last campfire, the air hung heavy around them. No matter how this final battle ended, none of them would ever meet like this again. While the four of them talked, you were distracted by the early sense of loss. You dreaded losing Noctis and you wanted nothing more than to save him from his fate, to take him and run away. But you couldn’t. The gods wouldn’t allow it. So you simply took his hand and prepared for the worst.
After a good meal from Ignis and lots of sharing, the three crownsguard tucked in for the night, leaving you and Noctis silently staring into the dying fire. It was hard to think of anything to say, nothing that came to mind fit the urgent and painful moment you two shared. Both of you were unsure how to speak, but you knew what you two were thinking.
Eventually, Noctis let out a sigh as he sat up, looking over at you. “It won’t be easy.” He muttered, reaching over and taking your hand. “It’ll be hard after it all ends, I wish I knew how to make it better.”
You looked up at him, teary-eyed as you nodded. “I know... I don’t know what I’m going to do.” You confessed softly, gripping his hand. “I’m not ready to lose you for good.”
Noctis sighed and nodded. “I can’t really say I’m ready to go either.” He whispered, looking down at your hands. “It’s going to be hard, but it’s what I have to do.”
You let out a shaky breath. “I love you... I always have, you know?” You whispered, looking up at him.
He smiled weakly and nodded, ruffling your hair gently. “I know... I love you too.” He murmured, pressing a gentle and delicate kiss to your forehead.
After that, the two of you went to sleep together for the last time. It was hard to sleep with such a heavy heart. You prayed that maybe fate could be changed just this once. You knew it was a stretch, but you hoped you would be heard.
Unfortunately, your prayers were not heard. The next sunrise, you sat in the Capital, broken-hearted and alone, mourning the loss of your significant other and three best friends.

Reunions: Older!Noctis Caelum x Fem!Reader (NSFW)
Contains: Reunion sex, Noctis lives, vaginal fingering, soft sex
Tumblr media
You stumbled into the room, nearly tripping over your wobbling heels and the long petticoat and skirt. Whipping your head around, you swallowed thickly as you watched Noctis shut the door behind him, turning the heavy lock until it clicked in place before turning to meet your gaze. His ocean blue eyes were dark, glazed over with lust, pupils blown so wide that they nearly swallowed those beautiful irises of his.
You couldn’t help but feel excited. The butterflies in your stomach were fluttering, you swore you could hear them. Your heart was beating against your chest, your brain was running in a maze of fog.
The music was still raging on behind that door that Noctis blocked with his body, you both could hear the orchestra clashing and playing beautifully for the dancing crowd from where Noctis had pulled you out of. In a crowd as thick as that one, everyone dancing and laughing and drinking in celebration that the king is back, he could still pick you out of the group with such ease.
Even after all of these years, the passion you both had for each other had yet to settle, only growing like a sylleblossom bush.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were here?” Noctis broke the tense silence in the room first. His eyes were trained on you, practically undressing you. He hadn’t seen you since Lestallum over ten years ago; In his eyes, you really didn’t change at all - you were still as beautiful as ever. “Gladio, Ignis, Prompto?”
“I almost didn’t come, if I’m being honest.” Saying those words hurt your heart, dulling the butterfly tingling sensations in your gut just a bit. You saw the look of carnal hunger soften quickly in Noctis’ eyes, dark eyebrows pinching together. “I thought you wouldn’t have remembered-”
“I did,” he cut you off. “I still do. I remember everything.” Noctis took a few steps forward towards you, with every step he took it made your heart beat loud in your ears like a tightened drum. Even as he stood before you, you still felt like a giddy school girl. “Of course, I remember you. It’s impossible to forget someone like you, I could never forget.”
You felt tears stinging at the back of your eyes like glass shards. Your throat tightened up and your chest had started to ache. Just the look of worry overtaking Noctis’ face was enough to make your heart start to break.
Even though you both hadn’t seen each other in ten years, he was still as handsome as ever. He still had those dazzling eyes that rivaled royal jewelry, he still had those boyish good looks that aged like fine wine, and he still had those tender moments that made you fall in love with him all those years ago. Even while standing before you, you knew exactly what you both wanted to do.
Noctis had reached a hand out, carefully taking your hand in his. He glanced down as he carded his fingers with yours, locking your hands together. He missed this. He missed you; So much that it fucking hurt. It was almost like it wasn’t real at first. Even with your skin pressed against his, it almost felt too real to even be real. Even as you’re standing before him, your warm flesh touching his, your perfume in his nose, your voice in his ears, he almost believed it all to be lies.
Noctis reached his other hand up, brushing his knuckles against your face, moving the stray hairs out of your face allowing him to see how well you’ve aged. His hand rested on your jaw, his thumb on your chin as he tilted your head up to really look him in the eye. He felt his chest starting to tighten with emotions digging up the past ten years he’d spent all alone.
“You’re just as beautiful as I remember,” he murmured.
The emotional dams had broken on both sides as tears started to fall. Your hands had grabbed onto Noctis’ coat, dragging him in as close as your bodies would allow as he connected your lips in a desperate kiss. His hand that was now empty grabbed onto your back, fingers tangling with your hair and pressed your head as close to his as he could. You both moaned into the kiss, the taste of salt slipping in from where your tears had met your lips. You grabbed at more of his coat, nearly tearing apart the expensive material from just how tightly you’d been holding it when you both had started to move before you even realized what was actually going on.
Your feet moved backwards, the two of you stumbling around the room until your ass had struck a lounge chair. You both tumbled down, your back landing against the stiff padding while Noctis braced himself on top of you, the kiss breaking for just a moment as you both looked at each other stunned.
“Noctis,” you whimpered. Your body felt like it was on fire, like you were a diseased woman and the only cure was the king now propped up above you. “I missed you, I need you.”
His hands snatched at the damned petticoats you had under that dress of yours - Astrals, you looked so radiant in this dress, Noctis almost didn’t want to remove it - and bunched them up at your waist. You eagerly grabbed onto them, helping him lift up your skirt at the same time, pooling everything just under your breasts. You shivered as Noctis’ hands gently caress your thighs, the once familiar feeling of his cool hands on your warm skin brought back such great memories. He hesitated, fingers curling up instead of re-exploring lands he’s ventured across before, and looked up at you with those beautiful eyes of his.
“Can I?” he asked in such a small voice, you barely heard it over the music still going on in the ballroom outside.
Your mouth had gone dry so you nodded quickly, swallowing thickly as your body hummed in excitement.
“Please,” you managed to croak out.
His slender fingers wrapped around the hemline of your panties which were starting to get wet before he slowly dragged them down your parted legs and eventually off of your person. Noctis hummed softly, his fingers were cool to the touch when they slowly stroked at your pussy. His fingertips slipped between your folds as if they were rose petals, soft and delicate and seemingly dripping with honey he so desperately wanted to taste. You sighed contently, sparks connecting in your nerves like long awaited surges of power, your eyes fluttered shut as you struggled to take in full breaths. You swore you would cum just from Noctis carefully fingering you alone. He slipped in another finger, both digits teasing at your slick entrance before delving in like they did once upon a time. He remembered how you felt, how you tasted, he swore he could already taste it without his tongue even touching you. He curled his fingers inside of you, drawing out a high-pitched whine from your throat as your eyes nearly rolled into the back of your head.
Noctis withdrew his fingers after another moment, mesmerized by the slick that coated his two fingers before licking your sweet nectar right off of them. Your eyes connected once more, you could see the carnal intentions bubbling to the surface once again in those galactic blues.
“You taste just as sweet as I remember, too.”
You couldn’t help the heat that rose to your face, turning your head away as your face felt flushed from how sweet and how soft Noctis was being with you right now. You knew what he wanted to do to you, hell, you wanted him to do it too! But he’s taking his time, he wants to take his time.
His hands had started on his belt, fingers unlatching the silver clasp and unweaving the expensive black leather from the loops of his dress pants before dropping it to the floor with your wet panties. His fingers quickly fumbled with the front of his pants, undoing the buttons and peeling down the zipper to show off the erection that Noctis had been hiding under his clothing shockingly well. Your eyes widened at the sight of the bulge, your cunt cried for it.
Noctis slipped himself out of his underwear, fingers wrapping around his shaft and head and pumping his cock once, twice, three times before he guided it across your dripping pussy. You whimpered as you felt it tap at your passage, wincing at the painful stretch and quickly sighing at the overwhelming pleasure that filled your core without a second thought.
Noctis groaned loudly above you, his hands flying to your hips to steady himself, his hair falling in front of his face.
It was a good thing that the orchestra outside was still raging on and the crowd had still yet to notice that he had long since slipped out.

Lucian Lights
Yeah, this one is really late for father’s day... Noct is alive in this one.
July 14, 2020
WC: 489
“Mama?” your son, Lux, sniffled as he shuffled into your and Noct’s bedroom. You gently set down the book you had been reading and pulled Lux into your lap.
“What’s wrong?” you cooed, stroking his pitch black hair. He had grown to look exactly like Noct when he was Lux’s age, sharing his father’s dark hair and steely blue eyes.
“Rora’s being mean,” he mumbled. He snuggled into you, making you smile. “She won’t let me help.”
“That’s because you’re too small!” your daughter’s voice rang out, and you looked to see her walking into the room. You frowned at her words. I should probably keep her from spending too much time with Gladio and his kids; they’re rubbing off on her.
“Aurora,” you chided, and the girl cast her eyes to the floor. You tried to stay mad at her -- really, you did -- but she looked too much like her father when she would pout. Sighing, you motioned for her to join you on the couch. She took the spot next to you, and you pat her hair.
“Why won’t you let Lux help, Aurora?” you asked softly. She didn’t meet your eyes for a few moments.
“‘Cuz I didn’t want him to ruin Dad’s gift,” she muttered. You felt Lux squirm in your lap, and you quickly resumed stroking his hair to calm him down. You released another sigh, grasping Aurora’s small hand in your own.
“Aurora, is there anything Lux could help with?”
“I … guess so…”
Gods, was it difficult dealing with three Nocts...
***
You walked through the Citadel with your children, a huge smile on your face as you three approached the throne room.
“Faster, Mama!” Lux cried, pulling on your hand harder. You laughed at his antics, being reminded of Noct when he was younger. Aurora led the two of you towards the room Noct would be in, an equally giant smile on her face as she held her father’s gift in her arms.
As soon as the doors to the throne room were opened, both Lux and Aurora ran to their father.
“Happy Father’s day, Dad!” Aurora squealed as Noct lifted her in his arms. He then swooped down and lifted up Lux as well. You stayed behind the two, leaning against the wall as you watched the three interact.
It had been eight years since Noct had brought about the Dawn. At the time, you had thought him lost to you, but then he had walked into Hammerhead the next day -- alive. A year later, and Aurora had been born, effectively keeping the royal line from extinction. Then Lux came along three years later. Noct had always been good with them -- you liked to say it was because of Regis that he was such a great father.
In the eight years since he had come back from the Crystal, Insomnia had been rebuilt, and all of her citizens had returned. They had finally come home, to their king.
In the eight years since his return, the Lucian Lights burned brighter than before.

The Bride of the Four Horsemen - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Noctis slowed his jog down to a halt, keeping a fair distance from Prompto just in case his friend wanted space. “So do you want to tell me what's wrong?”
Prompto did his best to disguise the shaky tone as he wiped his eyes with the back of his hand. “What do you mean?” To continue with the façade, he kept his back turned as he leaned with one arm against the nearby wall that had rotted with time and lack of care.
“Back there,” Noctis explained with a minor, hidden chuckle in his answer. “Why were you so disgruntled with the guy? You acted like he wasn't going to take good care of them.”
“Heh... I guess... you just have gotten more trusting than I have, Noct.”
His arms slapped to his sides as the former king offered a shrug at the sentiment. “In a world without trust, what do we have left?”
Prompto sputtered out a broken laugh. “Very Iggy of you to say.”
“It is very Iggy of me, because Ignis has quoted that from time to time,” Noctis reminded his friend. “Does your faith in humanity really slip so far away from you?”
The gunman felt assaulted by that comment, but he couldn't deny its truth. “What about how people view you? When they talk about how you're a monster and they fear you or just want you... want you d-dead...”

Beyond the Opulence
A/N: While I’m briefly taking a breather from Laws of Motion, I saw it fit to go back to some self-indulgent reader-inserts, so here we are. This new series of one-shots features FFXV men (older!bros in particular) in varying AUs. First up is Noctis.
Tagging some pals! @raspberryandechinacea @noboomoon @emmydots @gowithme @valkyrieofardyn @blindedstarlight @lazarustrashpit @bleucommelhiver @hanatsuki89 @animakupo (lmk if y’all want to get tagged on the succeeding ones!)
(Links in AO3) Alternate Universes in Which You and I Belong Together: Noctis | Gladio | Prompto | Ignis | Nyx | Cor | Ravus | Ardyn
The draft of your resignation letter on your computer screen is staring right at you with serious judgment, and you immediately think how Noctis is going to take this.
You have thoroughly considered Weskham Armaugh’s promising job offer in Altissia Works. Higher pay, better benefits. The title of VP for Communications definitely has a nice ring to it. But you know that quitting your current job is the last thing you ever want to do. As executive assistant to the CEO, dealing with the hustle that came along with your responsibilities is what you enjoy best: procurement requests, internal communications, meeting arrangements, public affairs, game launches and conventions, and pretty much overseeing Noctis’s day-to-day schedule have all become a steady ritual that you can probably do even in your sleep. You are severely fond with your work, so much so that you do not mind how taxing it could get on most months; the benefits and compensation that comes with your job even helps you in more ways to sustain a decent living. Besides, it’s not like you are not getting any support; if Ignis had not come along and taken the wheel behind all financial and strategic side of things, you would have easily lost your mind to stress. His sharp wit equates to his even sharper mind, and with all the years of working together, both you and Noctis have acknowledged that neither of you will survive without Ignis’s thoughtful counsel. In fact, Noctis claims he couldn’t find a better tandem to work with; for someone who is occasionally quiet and reclusive, he is pretty outspoken to always let you know one certain truth: that he wouldn’t survive a day without you and Ignis at all if he wanted to keep a robust video game company running at its finest.
So you didn’t mind the overtime hours. You didn’t mind the workload.
But as much as you love working for Noctis, you really don’t love the idea that you are recklessly falling in love with him.
Years of being around him, and you cannot really recall how this feeling unraveled itself. Was it because he is always checking up on you whenever you are spending too many late nights in the office? Was it whenever he brings you your favourite takeout food when you scarcely move from your seat even on lunch breaks? Or was it that time when he showed up in the middle of a Tinder date gone wrong after you texted him a simple ‘fuck this guy is a nutjob send help’? He always has your back, as you always have his. But how long have you felt this aching weakness for him? You know Noctis is always kind, if not a little too generous for his own good. He always goes out of his way to help others, treats everyone as equals. No hierarchy or class ever prevented him from reaching out to people. Even with someone like you, who had to claw your way out of the slums into this better life you have designed for yourself.
This, you thought, is what makes Noctis such a perfect guy: he is caring and selfless, even if he has a strange affinity with cats, or if he gets way too enthusiastic about fishing and video games. Sure, some people may think that the only notable things that qualify Noctis in the hall of perfection is because of how he is a handsome and dashing bachelor in his thirties who owns one of the most successful startup companies in all of Eos—a bold and impressive feat, considering he is already heir to a billion gil Lucian conglomerate. But he is more than his family name, more than his net worth, more than his pretty face.
And yet, perfect guy Noctis may be, he certainly is not perfect for you. He may still be in the market, but he is most surely way out of your league.
You minimize the word document and squeeze your eyes shut for a moment. The looming tower of files on your desk is already giving you a head-splitting migraine. The shrill sound of the printer right beside your cubicle is only making it worse. Not to mention, the group of game devs and quality analysts loudly debating their ideas in the conference room right across from your workstation. Interns are milling busily through the halls—some on skateboard, some on rollerblades. The background noise is starting to become insufferable. Even your favourite pop album blasting on repeat from your earphones is not helping. You return to your draft, and begin editing a couple of sentences:
After careful consideration, it is with deepest regret that I should inform you of my decision to leave the company. This is because...
You are tempted to end the sentence with a more blatant truth that says I am in love with you and could no longer stand being around you than saying that you are to pursue a better career opportunity. Which is downright nuts. Absolutely batshit crazy. It is true that you are never one to mix work with pleasure, and you are not that shallow to leave something behind for a petty reason...
But this rotten one-sided feeling with Noctis is a torment you cannot stand any longer.
Why do I always fall for the ones I could never have?
You are so close to murdering anyone who dares to step within the close perimeter of your workstation when a knock against your desk startles your fiercely undivided attention away from your screen.
“You seem like you’re about to massacre the whole floor. You good?”
You look up to see Noctis standing in front of you—extremely dapper clad in a white dress shirt and jeans—studying you with extreme concern. With much speed and dexterity and without even looking at your monitor, you quickly replace the word document on your computer and pull up the presentation deck with a subtle alt tab on the keyboard. The slide on display is that of the organizational chart that shows a couple of the functional units paired with the names of its respective leads. Cor Leonis, Risk and Control. Prompto Argentum, Creatives. Cindy Aurum, Product Engineering. Nyx Ulric, Game Development. You smile at him and say, “Yup, all good. Just reviewing my slides for the town hall later.”
“Really?” He raises an eyebrow, rubs a hand over his stubble-crusted jaw. A playful smile tugs on the corners of his mouth. “But you already know our monthly demographics like the back of your hand.”
“That’s Iggy, not me.”
“You keep selling yourself short,” he says, a little bit sternly. Then, he glances at his watch and all of a sudden, he narrows his eyes at you. “You haven’t eaten yet, have you?”
“Why, thank you very much for asking, sir, but I already have,” you lie with an awfully pleasant smile.
As expected, Noctis is not buying it. The scowl on his face clearly says so. “Don’t make me ask Pelna to terminate your access.”
You laugh. “Wow, you’re going to ask our best programmer to go on this extreme measure just to get me out to lunch? I couldn’t even imagine how your Cybersecurity Director is going to take that breach of protocol.”
“I think Gladio’s gonna let that one pass.”
"HR, then?"
"Nah, Monica and Holly would probably support this."
“Oh really? How so?”
“Yes, ‘cause they know I’ll do everything for you to go out with me.” Noctis pauses, and you stare at him.
“I’m sorry, what—“
“I mean, for lunch—“ Noctis reaches for the back of his neck, and he swiftly backpedals in a flustered stutter— “like go out with me for lunch is what I mean—uh, you know. ‘Cause we know you rarely go out to lunch. Or even outside, for breaks. And ‘cause pulling the plug of your workstation clearly isn’t going to work with you.”
“Oh. Right.” You nod and you can feel the pinprick of needles on your chest. Either from the way he seemed to vehemently deny his way out of his misspoken invitation or the fact that you almost thought he felt the same way about you, you cannot tell at this point. Maybe it’s both.
The silence that follows is close to unbearable.
Noctis awkwardly starts, “So, you mind if—“
“Hey there, you two.” Nyx suddenly saunters in front of your desk, all swagger in his black leather jacket, and you almost thank the gods out loud for his casual intervention. He greets Noctis with a clap on the shoulder, and he looks at the both of you with a cheeky lopsided grin. “Am I interrupting—“
“No,” you and Noctis both say all at once, and way too defensively.
“Okay, cool.” Nyx flashes one of his devilish smirks, all the while still warily eyeing both you and Noctis. “Anyway—“ Nyx turns to you, sliding one hand through his hair and pushing the other on the pocket of his jeans— “you wanna grab some lunch at Yamachang’s, chief? I owe you big time for sending me the stats I needed on the mobile app I’m working with Crowe and Libertus. I’m a Lannister and I always pay my debts—“
“Yeah, sure,” you immediately tell Nyx as you briskly rise from your seat. You don’t know what made you agree with Nyx’s invitation so easily, that when you glance at Noctis, he is looking at you with an expression that you cannot seem to figure out.
“Glad someone’s finally successful in getting you out of your cubicle for a change,” Noctis says with an odd smile. “I’ll see you both in the town hall, alright?”
As Noctis walks away and starts to mingle with the game devs in the conference room, you see Nyx is watching you curiously.
“What?” You try not to sound annoyed, but the question spills snappily out of your mouth.
Nyx clicks his tongue and shakes his head. “You two are really something, huh.”
“What does that even mean?”
“It means…” Nyx sighs, leaning against your desk. “Never mind. C’mon, let’s get going.”
Nyx offers you his hand and you take it. He whisks you out of your desk, and you laugh at his weird display of chivalry. As the two of you make your way out of the office, you pass the conference room and your eyes land on Noctis. His eyes meet yours, and he gives you a small smile. Nyx’s hand on yours suddenly feel terribly out of place. The thought of your resignation begins to settle heavily at the pit of your stomach. The job offer in Altissia has never been so appealing.
The town hall concluded without a hitch. By end of the day, you are pretty much exhausted, but relieved all the same. Everyone left early for the long weekend, and you are glad to have the whole floor all by yourself.
Well, almost.
Noctis is still in his office, his door wide open. You double-check his calendar to see if he has anything lined up on his schedule. He’s free for the rest of the night, and you take a deep breath.
This is it. You have already made up your mind, following your better judgment. It’s now or never, you think to yourself as you march your way to his office, letter in hand.
You knock at the door. “Hey,” you say, and Noctis looks up at you. A wide smile brightens his face.
“Hi, come in,” he says, gesturing to the couch in front of him. He eyes you nervously. “Have I missed any urgent meeting? Or anything that needs my approval?”
“No. Actually, you’re already free from this time onwards. Checked your calendar before I came here.” You couldn’t help but laugh. Of course, most of the time you have ever entered Noctis’s office is to remind him whenever he’s running late for a meeting or to follow him up on matters that require his immediate attention.
But this time around, it pains you that you’re here in front him for an entirely different reason.
“Oh, by the way—great job earlier, as usual,” Noctis says rather proudly. “Not that I’m surprised.”
“Um, thanks.” You wince another smile. His genuine kindness is a rock in your mouth that is slowly grating you with guilt.
“So…” Noctis trails off, his fingers drumming against his desk, and he is still looking at you with searching eyes. “I hope you’re not planning on staying here in the office for a few more hours.”
“Nope.” You shake your head. Your insides are twisted into knots when you say, “Actually, I’m already planning on leaving.”
You slide the letter on his desk. He unfolds it, and you watch how his smiling face shifts into something else. At first, he is surprised, then the second, he is completely crushed.
Noctis lets out a shuddery sigh. “I don’t understand—“
“I don’t need you to,” you swiftly say. “I got an offer. In Altissia. I’m sorry if this had been so sudden. Not to worry, I have all of my tasks and responsibilities properly documented for transition—“
“No, I don’t care about any of that,” he says, his voice deeply strained. “I just want to know why.” He pushes himself off his desk, circling over to you. “You said you love working here.”
“Yes, I do.” You cannot bear looking at him. Tears are starting to well under your eyes. “But I…”
“But what?” Noctis is now standing so close to you, his eyes casting you a searching look. “Tell me, please.” He moves in another inch. You could already smell his perfume, and you swear if he moves any closer you are going to shatter.
“Noct, it’s just...“ you say, and his name almost breaks along with the sound of your voice. “I don’t think I can work here if I—“
A solid knock on the door traps the remaining words in your mouth. You wipe your eyes before you turn to see Ignis standing by the doorway. He looks at you, then at Noctis. If he had caught on any of the conversation, Ignis is doing an excellent job not showing it on his face.
“My apologies,” Ignis says. His tone is urgent. “Aranea from the Niflheim Studios’ Business Division just called. Says it’s about Ardyn’s offer for a collaboration. Should I ask her to call back—“
“It should be okay, Iggy,” you tell him, waving a hand. “I was just about to go.” To Noctis, you say, “I think you should probably take that. You know how your uncle can get so utterly relentless.”
Before Ignis or Noctis could breathe another word, you hastily take your leave. Ignis gingerly closes the door behind you, and his discussion with Noctis is reduced into hushed whispers. You walk back to your workstation, and as quietly and quickly as you could, you take the opportunity to pack all your personal effects while no one is around. You have so many memories here in Lucis Labs that as you stuff each frame and trinket into the cardboard box, there‘s no use holding back your tears. The annual trips with the whole team, the late night dinners with the game devs, the caffeinated days of tireless convention weeks…
It’s slowly dawning on you that not only you are leaving Noctis behind, you are also leaving a ragtag bunch of geniuses you have come to consider as family.
Unsteadily, you carry your belongings, weaving your way past the dimly lit hallways, past the glass boards and collaboration spaces, past the array of black-and-white cubicles, and onto the lifts. Downstairs at the Citadel’s lobby, your footsteps echo against the mosaic floors that one of the guards turn to look at your direction. It happens to be Dave, whom you already consider a pal after all the help he has extended to you on occasions you have missed bringing your ID to work. He takes a glimpse on the box you have wrapped around your arms. He cast you a stunned look.
“How? Why?” Dave asks in disbelief. His graying hair and beard looks just as lonely as this evening.
“Found a new job,” you say with a small smile. You hope he doesn’t notice how your eyes are still wet with tears. Kindly enough, he says nothing. He only offers you a polite nod and a sad smile as he ushers you out of the turnstile.
Just when you’re only a few steps away from leaving the premises, you hear your name echo all over the vastness of the almost empty foyer from a very familiar voice.
You turn and you see Noctis running after you.
“Wait,” he says, and he’s panting like he’s taken all twelve flight of stairs in a hurry just to get to you. Or has he?
“Noct, please. If you’re here—“
“I’m not here to stop you from taking the offer,” Noctis cuts you off. He exhales loudly, catches another lungful of air, before he goes on, “If you think it’s best for your career, then I’ll support you. No matter what. I’ve always believed that you’re off to do great things, and I’m sorry if how I acted earlier made you think otherwise. I just… it’s hard for me to accept that I’m about to lose the best assistant one could ever ask for.”
“Please don’t say that. You still have Ignis.”
“But Ignis is not you. And he knows that, too.” Noctis steps closer to you, smiling. He takes the box off your hands and sets it on the floor. “So, now that you’re effectively no longer working for me, I guess I have to do one more thing.”
“What thing—”
Noctis does not let you finish the sentence when he crushes his lips with yours. He kisses you fiercely, in a way that loudly proclaims I’ve been feeling the same way about you, and I just don’t know how to show it.
Despite wanting to believe that this is all happening, your disbelief pulls you away from Noctis. Breathlessly, you say, “Wait, I just want to be clear—you… you like me?”
Noctis laughs. “Goodness. I don’t just like you—I’ve been in love with you for as long as I can remember. It’s just—” he bites his lip, reaches for the back of his head the same way he always does whenever he is at a loss for words, but he shakes his head and pushes through— ”it’s, uh, well… I know how you don’t like being involved with romantic affairs at work. I know how you keep your private life completely separate from your job, and I respect that. I didn’t want to complicate things for you, so I kept my distance, in a way. So… by the time I realized how strongly I feel about you, and after learning from the people in the office that it’s obvious that our feelings are mutual, let’s just say it felt like I am fucked.” He pauses, and the blush on his handsome face is in full bloom. Then, as if by some realization, the pleasant expression on his face wilts into a mild panic. “Shit, am I wrong? You don’t feel the same way, too, do you—“
“No, no!” You say quickly, catching him by his arms. “I… That’s not it. I do feel the same way, Noct. I’m just surprised, that’s all. I didn’t realize that it was so obvious for people to know. I never heard about it from anyone.”
“That’s because everyone is terrified of you.” Noctis smiles, and he playfully pinches your chin.
You frown. “You make me sound like I’m Cor.”
“Hey, don’t worry—he’s of a different calibre.”
You quirk an eyebrow. “So you’re not terrified of me? Is that it?”
“Well, I will always be terrified of you,” Noctis says teasingly. “Because it's one of the many reasons why I love you.”
This time, you yank him by the collar of shirt and pull him for another kiss. There exists a fraction of a moment in that kiss where time is in a standstill; your mind freezes, your heart stops beating, and there is only that rush of electricity racing down your spine. And then, all at once, the knots in your stomach have untangled. Your hands finally move on its own accord, and so does your lips.
He presses his forehead against yours. In a breathy whisper, he says, “I’m yours. I want to be yours. Will you be mine?”
“Yes,” you say, and you cannot help the smile tugging on the corners of your mouth. “I’m all yours.”

Can we get chubby!Noctis and his s/o just loving his soft, warm, and nice to cuddle with he is?
We love a chubby Noctis ^^ (i was confused on what you wanted, so I made this. I think it’s cute I hope)
Tumblr media
It was on a Saturday. Late 6:42 p.m. You and Noctis were sitting on the couch, Watching TV.
Noctis noticed that his S/o was holding on to him. Almost for dear life. Noct wondered if it was because of what they were watching.
“Y/n?”
You only mumbled ‘hmm’ and looked at his adorable eyes.
“Are you ok?” He asked. “You’ve been holding onto me for a while.”
You giggled. “Is that a bad thing?”
Noctis blinked for a few seconds before answering. “Well... no.”
You got up and sat on his lap. Noct was shocked. ‘Why is she doing? I’m chubby as fuck ;-;’
“I wanna cuddled Noctis.” You said with smile on your face.
Noct nodded than smiled. “Alright.”
You wrap your arm around his chubby body than you put your head on his chest.
“Y/n.” Noctis said.
“Is it too much?” You asked worryingly.
