btw!! this is a small thing but i think it could be a trigger warning, it’s mentioned the reader has tears in their eyes after taking pills, so if you have trouble with pills it can be taken that way but if that’s personal and you don’t like it, think of it as you coughed wayyyy too much shdkhd it’s up to your imagination!! again i hope you like this ying !!
a groan left your lips as you shifted in your seat, the words in front of you dancing and twirling. the burning in your chest built up and you lifted your arm to cough into it for the nth time.
crap. you were definitely sick.
you also had to finish this last piece of work up, and a part of your mind itched at you to finish it before you rest. your fingers typed frantically as your eyes squinted at the glaring screen, a pathetic attempt to shield yourself.
a soft click sounded from the front of your room, the sound blending in with the symphony of your keys clacking. light footsteps pulled a creak out of the tired floorboards, the sound snapping you out of your funk.
“thoma?” hope stumbled out of your lips in the form of your lovers name, and it was satiated as thoma stepped into the room, a small smile gracing his face.
“hello dear.” a pause followed as thoma’s eyes searched your face, his smile slowly giving way to a frown saturated in worry.
“you look,, unwell.”
fuzziness creeped out from the corners of your eyes as you peeked up at him, the temperature of your fever affecting you in ways you didn’t think was possible.
“stay here darling.” thoma said before he left, as if your muscles would listen to you if you even attempted to move. not even a minute later, thoma returns, a small thermometer dangling from his fingers. his fingers tapped at your chin, a smile painted with sympathy forming.
“open up, let me check your temperature.” your tongue pressed down on the cool plastic, and a small whimper left your throat at the unwanted intrusion. thomas’s hand moved to your cheek, his fingers slightly rubbing your cheekbone as he waited, his actions showing more love then any words could at this moment.
a loud beep interrupted the momentary silence, and the device was fished out of your mouth gently. thomas eyes squinted as he peered at the numbers on the screen, the corners of his mouth turning down slightly.
“you’re running a bad fever. have you eaten?” his question was answered as your stomach made a noise pitifully in response.
“i guess not. let’s get some food and meds in you, and then you can rest. i don’t want you feeling worse.” thoma set the thermometer gently aside, and you could see his brain mentally making a small list containing all the things to clean and tidy.
you shook your head groggily, your body saying thing and your words another.
“i have to finish. this one um.” you pointed vaguely at your work, hoping he’d get the picture.
his eyebrow raised, the action speaking a question his lips didn’t. a deep sigh left your chest as you just weakly shook your head.
“i can’t.”
thoma looked down at you, a small smile spreading over his face as he moved closer.
“i’ll just have to,” he paused, his arms wrapping around you as he lifted you, your hands immediately flying to his neck for support, “aid you in your decision making.”
a complaining whine left your body as you rested your face in the crook of his neck.
“my decision making process is perfectly fine.” you mumbled into him. his laugh vibrated throughout your body’s as he shifted you in his hold.
“right, and i have black hair darling.” a small chuckle left him at his own joke and your own frown was replaced by a giggle.
gentle hands eased you onto the bed, thoma’s embrace being replaced by the embrace of the soft bed. your eyes closed automatically, you just realized how utterly exhausted you were. soft shuffling was picked up by your ears, and you reluctantly opened your eyes to see thoma leaving the room gracefully, his actions quick and smooth. you rested your head against the headboard, but was promptly picked it up again as another coughing fit overtook your body. you sighed, your eyes closing again as you let sleep overtake you, a time pass as you waited for your lover.
“love.” a thumb brushed over your cheek as your eyes opened slightly, trying to register what was happening.
thoma stood in front of you, a bowl of hot soup and a small container of pills sitting on your beside table. time passed slowly as thoma helped you eat, soft praises filling the air as the bowl slowly emptied. shapes were rubbed into your back as you choked down your pills, gentle hands wiping the tears from your eyes.
“you did so well dear.” thomas eyes crinkled he looked at you, a soft kiss being placed to your forehead, as he sat in a chair beside your bed, one of his hands smoothing your hair, the other resting on top of your hand.
“now my love. you work so hard. i’m so proud of you, and that won’t lessen just because you’re resting. in fact i’ll be even more proud.” he winked at you, sending your heart into a flurry.
a kiss was pressed into your temple, another to your cheek.
“sleep well darling.”
and with that, you drifted off into a world created by your imagination.

god. distracted again. i had a shower thought that turned into a whole ass fantasy about an alpha prince, who’s notoriously brash and reckless and shouty, and his kingdom is at war and he switches sides, and the other kingdom doesn’t quite trust him but they need the information he has so they keep him under the guard of a very kind and sweet (if a little immature and hyperactive) alpha.
they become friends, and they spar together, and shouty alpha always wins because he’s a very good swordsman. one day shouty smells a little off but sweet doesn’t think much of it, until he starts winning match after match. he’s getting concerned, after shouty accidentally cuts him on the shoulder, and sweet is annoyed at first but shouty keeps apologizing over and over which is so odd for him. shouty insists he’s fine and they keep sparring until sweet wins another match, with his sword tip touching the base of shouty’s throat. he’s a little smug when he says I Win again :)
but oh no! shouty collapses on the floor, onto his knees and when sweet kneels to look at him, he puts his finger under his chin and asks him if he’s okay, but shouty’s eyes are glassy and he just continues softly panting. sweet freaks out and yells for his sister, a healer, and the yelling makes shouty start giving off a very scared scent, and that’s when sweet realizes he’s not an alpha at all, he’s an omega and sweet’s show of (fake) dominance has pushed him into an early heat.
ok this got rly long sorry but the healer comes and tells him that shouty’s involuntary submission shows that he thinks of sweet as a good mate and it’s his responsibility to keep shouty happy and comfortable until he comes out of it because sweet’s scent is the only thing that will calm him through the heat. and sweet has to be soo careful and gentle with poor shouty, who when he’s not pretending to be an alpha is so very sensitive and vulnerable, and sweet has to carry him back to his quarters and hold him and speak to him softly (even though he can’t really understand the words he can understand tone) and fuck him so lovingly when he gets needy and desperate, whimpering and grinding on sweet until he pays attention to him.

The only saving grace in the hailstorm that was the emotions and hormones and swirling thoughts was his keeper, the other Alpha. Nobody calls the sweet man his keeper, not to his face, but shouty isn't stupid, he knows he's being monitored, but this guard…. well he was a saving grace as much as he was a damning one. How could shouty continue to swallow down his urges the way he had his whole life with sweet at his arm before he could even think to look for him? Shouty had lost that day before the matches had even begun. He tried his best, he threw himself into it like always, but his mind felt like he was wading through sand, or- no, maybe more like honey. Slow and warm and thick and...sweet. Sweet. Had the 'other' Alpha's scent always been so strong? Shouty's not paying enough attention, he's not focused, and- the cut is thin, not too deep, but it's bleeding, oh god, the Alpha-- his Alpha, he's bleeding, and it's all his fault. The apologies spill from his mouth, but they don't feel like enough, not when sweet is standing there trying to get him to stop saying sorry. So shouty swallows it down as much as he can, closes his eyes to steady himself, then promises he can continue, and then-- it's all a blur from there.
There's a sword to his neck and then the gentlest finger to his chin, the kind of touch you could just sink into, and then there's shouting, it's sharp, loud. Angry? No- panicked. But it's his Alpha shouting, why? What did shouty do wrong? He suppresses a whimper, sword clattering to the ground, out of his sweaty grip, when did everything get so hot? When did he get on his knees? Now it's not just his mind, his limbs feel like he's fighting against gravity trying to drag him down. He's vaguely away he's being move, looked at. Sees familiar faces but doesn't really see them, hears voices he can't bring himself to focus on- he's burning up on the inside, cramping from how hard his body's clenching, it's all too much, it's not supposed to happen now, not like this, not when he can't hide, and shouty's on the verge of a real proper panic attack, worsened by his emotional state, hands balled to fists, chin down, trying to handle it on his own like always, when... oh.
He's in his sweet, sweet Alpha's arms. When did he even get there? They're moving now, the Alpha carrying him like he's small, like he's fragile, like he doesn't weigh anything, and shouty... just lets out a soft sound and leans in, tucks his face into the Alpha's jaw. Accepts it. The Omega accepts all of it.
Shouty clings when sweet tries to set him down on his bed, blushes at his own neediness but grumbles about the distance immediately- and that sounds enough like the shouty that sweet's grown to know that the Alpha laughs, purrs, leans right back in to scoop him up and nuzzles against him, keeps him nice and relaxed. It's not long before shouty's squirming though, he can smell sweet's arousal just as sweet was well aware of his. But it's not just the scent and demeanor that's got sweet going, its that trust, it's all the sharp edges and defiant independence, all the showiness of prove melting away... it's shouty letting go, giving everything to sweet. so here's the rundown (short version):
1. BOY. SON BOY. IN MY POSSESSION. i fuckigng have him hes my son & hes REAL i can hold him in my hands right at this very moment waaaaaAAA i saw him on the shelf and yoinked him so fast aughgughgh....,.,.,..,, they had the two others in the set (a sensei and a little fox) but they were $15 each and i couldn't be dropping $45 like that 😭 but it's ok bc i got a fuckign real life natsume in my home i cannot fucking believe it HE'S SO CUTE. HE IS SO SMALL. SCREAMS

2. BOOKE......... vol 22 of natsuyuu & holy shit what a GORGEOUS cover i wanna do a redraw of it so bad now that i FINALLY have it hsmgnsghj absolutely my fave cover in the series TBH. also this is a big deal bc it's one of the last few volumes i need to complete the series and it's SERIOUSLY hard to find rn (i will get into this more below but just know it's basically a miracle i have this 🙏)
3. ANIMORPHS WAAAAAA so the store i went to had a bunch of different shit including both manga & normal books (i see no difference love is love) so ofc i HAD to check the children's section and they had these two animorphs books for a few bucks each!! i honestly didn't really even pay attention to which ones they were beyond checking the numbers to make sure i didn't already have them but as soon as i got home i got a good look at them AND THEY ARE??? BOTH BANGERS????? YOOOOOOOOOO
#19 The Departure (butterfly book) is the one where cassie cheats death thru a bullshit morphing rules loophole and it's GREAT and oh yeah a lot of philosophical "see from the enemy's pov" gray morality stuff which goes so much harder than im making it sound.... it's always been one that stood out to me as a special one so i am Thrilled to have it

ok that was the short version now here's my saga:
SO FUNNY STORY LOL i've been rly into manga collecting videos on yt which frequently dip into manga shopping vlogs right. they go to stores & film the shelves & it's a lot of fun to see all the stuff they have but Most Importantly whenever they get to the N section my eyes ZOOM TF IN lookin for those natsuyuu spines bc i'm on the fuckin hunt and i'm obsessed i NEED to see what they have (which is why i always die inside whenever they skip over the entire naruto section bc natsuyuu is usually RIGHT after it and EVERYBODY MISSES IT slams fist on the ground)
the main thing i look for is volumes i don't have which is a dangerous game bc if i DID see smth i needed and was unable to obtain it i would simply perish and wither away on the spot because these last 3 volumes i need are SO IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND they are not ANYWHERE online except on ebay for like $150 which SUCKS so if i knew they were out there existing on a shelf completely out of my reach i wouldn't make it
anyway i was watchin a shopping vlog & this guy's like we're going to the book-off in this exact location and im like wowie that's near me maybe i should check it out sometime and he's like here's the manga section and im like 👁👁 bc ofc i am and it's not like he's showing every shelf in detail, doesn't even really look at the N section BUT what do i see with my Combat Trained Eagle Eyes

(this is zoomed tf in on like the corner of the screen BUT IT'S VOLUME FUCKEN 22 BABEY DO U SEE IT UUAAHGH) (so bizarre to look at that screenshot now knowing that that book on the shelf is MY specific copy that i now own like god. i really did just reach into the screen and YOINK)
so i immediately check the video's upload date & it's only been a Week but also that portion of the video had been filmed a week prior to the rest of the footage and on top of that there's no telling how much time passed between filming and uploading so we have at LEAST 2 weeks definitely more on the docket so im like ooohhgh but also like i mentioned before. these books are fucken IMPOSSIBLE to find for a reasonable price online rn so i have absolutely nothing to lose ok
i call the place & ask abt it and they're like ya we have it forrr $7.99 and i scream in my head so so loud bc that's $2 below retail and like $75 below the asking price on ebay (some fucking goon is selling a goddamn raw unrestored library copy for over $80 hello?????? absolute clown behavior SMH meanwhile this below retail copy is in Wonderful condition it's BEAUTIFUL)
ik i said earlier that i was "nearby" the location in the video but that was a lie it's a fucking hour drive which is Small Price To Pay for Natsume's Book of Friends Vol 22 by Yuki Midorikawa in MY mind but since i don't drive i had to find someone who agreed w/ me lmfao. the store does not ship either to ur home or to a closer location so i had literally no other option and on top of that they only do same day holds on items, to stress out Me Specifically (joking tho they were so so nice. the person i spoke to was like "well this series doesn't sell v often and we've had it for a while, so there's a good chance it'll still be here whenever you can come out" like 😭 they didn't have to reassure me like that but they did and it helped me make it thru the week goddamnit)
so luckily i was able to get out there the very same weekend and like bro. they have so much shit it's a rly cool store... i believe they have new items but their whole thing is resale & second-hand stuff so u can find some rly neat stuff there... i spent so long in the merch section oh my god. they have this entire aisle that's just pins & buttons & charms and it's absolute madness, like This Shit (different location but same idea)
and good god u would not BELIEVE the sheer amt of ososan stuff they had there, i genuinely believe a flat 50% of it was just ososan AT LEAST (even in this pic i can see a kara on that second shelf there gksdngskdf 2nd to last row on the far right), i think i would have died if i'd gone there during the height of my obsession bc holy shit. why did they have so much osomatsu san. it was bananas (i might've gotten smth if i found one i liked but it was mostly like official art lookin stuff & that style doesn't rly appeal to me so rip. there were a LOT of karas & ichis tho)
anywayyyyy i shouldn't have spent so much time going thru all that but among the sea of buttons & pins were those rubber character charms here and there which i WAS interested in, specifically bc one of the kimi to boku sets i want so dearly is the rubber charms like LOOK at them.........
i am not only screaming & crying but ALSO throwing up LOOK AT THEMMMMM i would die for all 5 of them. anyway they didn't have any of em as far as i could see which wasn't that surprising since it's not a very well-known series but also i saw a million guys i'd never seen in my life in that section so IT WAS POSSIBLE..........
i wandered around the books section for a while bc i wasn't ready for the manga yet (busy aisle) & that's where i found the animorphs WHICH btw are in SUCH good condition like obvs the pages are yellowed but the covers & spines are clean af and both of the cover illustrations underneath are intact so i'm super happy abt that!! i looked around for a few other things just for fun, like they had a few deltora quest books, neither of the ones i need but it was still neat to see. o they also had a copy of wayward son (simon snow book 2) which was rly fun bc hey i know those guys!!! need to get back to reading their shit rly bad but uh u know!!!!! i will
the manga section wasn't super big, just like. one aisle, both sides. they had alphabetical markers to organize them but man things were pretty out of order within each section so i hope i didn't miss anything gskdnkfdg.... it's not like i was planning on buying a whole lot but i did have a list of things to keep an eye out for and if they happened to be a good price then,,,
i didn't find anything tho rip. i rly wanted to check out some japanese manga too but it didn't look like they had any so i was like oh well but fuckin. i'm SO mad at myself, the next morning i found out that APPARENTLY all the jpn manga's in the dollar outlet version of the store they had upstairs, which i KNEW existed but didn't end up checking out gjgaughagjsdgj i'd even thought about asking one of the employees if they had any but i DIDN't and now im DYING oh my god. i'll never be able to get out there again, not any time soon, this was like a One Time Thing i'm so OTL
(i was gonna look for like, natsuyuu fanbooks, some of midorikawa's other works, maybe some monthly magazines like the one natsuyuu gets published in if they even had that sort of thing.... oogh im lying down)
anyway i pretty much checked out after that, they had my book at the counter bc i had called ahead to place a hold JUST TO BE SAFE..... who knows how many other people watched that guy's video and paused obsessively over that one part bc they caught a glimpse of natsuyuu spines in the bg and spotted the elusive vol 22 sitting Right There for all the world to see and immediately started planning how to get out there asap before it disappeared like a dream evaporating into mist as soon as you wake up
anyway that's where the book shopping saga ends but the last magical thing that happened was the mall had a somisomi aka taiyaki babeeyyyyyyy (v exciting bc the one at my local mall is GONE) so i got some w the taro filling (taro my beloved) and it was THE BEST
somisomi's main thing is like, ice cream taiyaki (left) but i always just get the regular kind (right) bc hmnmgnhm i like the it
so that concludes my funny lil weekend trip, even if i missed the outlet store i still got some super gr8 stuff & i'm v happy about it ;v;

so, a little more droopy than usual, you head out

Trish by her independent nature and tremendous Will proves those stereotypes are bullshit, not even factoring in their first meeting as already making a huge impression on his beliefs of what girls can do- Trish knowing how to challenge him by staying true to herself yet having the compassion to help someone suffering and with fewer chances from birth than she had would not only win him over but give him something even Bruno can't, self sustaining confidence, bc Trish isn't part of a chain of command, she's just a girl in love with a boy who wants him to be happy and that concept while foreign to him for so long once it kicks in he could actually learn to build himself For himself and For someone who wouldn't use him for some greater schemes or dirty work,
I love Bruno ok he's one of the best characters in anything ever but his flaw in his ability to help motivate ppl is tied to that fact that he's bringing them into a dangerous strict order of command to Serve not entirely in a place/way that lets them just be themselves and realize organic loving relationships with anyone and themselves SO

That all being said, Everything Trish does he's paying attention to, she keeps him alive during the Grateful Dead fight not because she needs him to serve for a cause ( a cause might I add even Bruno the near saint he is was ready to let Nara go right then and there for bc death is in the job description) but because she doesn't know him well yet and shit he even swung a knife at her when they first met over who was in the bathroom, but he's a person suffering and in pain and to let him die even if it's Expected Of The Mission is garbage to her even if she respects Bruno down the line as a father compared to fucking evil Diavolo,
Trish constantly goes out her way to do these things for Nara bc Trish instinctively knows he's the most vulnerable mentally and her sense of compassion and justice (likely something Donatella made sure to instill in her before her death by cherishing Trish and spoiling her even as a single mother) will not stand to not help someone when she could've- and he reciprocates it even if in disbelief bc he can tell This Person Is Safety, This Person Is Like Me Yet Not, A Better Me I Want To Be, by the time he's about to die someone with his fragile mind was actually gaining conviction about taking control for himself on his own terms and he would risk even those chances to defend the person who actually helped him arrive there (along with Gio) in the first place,
I think by the end of his life he rly did love her or start to, it being romantic or not is up to individual interpretation to which you know I'm in the romance camp, point is he found someone who truly taught him strength without him fully realizing it and did so without belittling him, if anything instead treating him only with love and kindness and patience (not being a door mat for him, but like, not treating him like ass like everyone else has their moments of either), I think anything Trish asks of him, this is all why he's so willing to do it on top of feeling deep empathy, I've written in my character notes as well that like this goes even further to sex being one of the most intimate things there is, like I kno we jest and jape abt Teens Doing Dumb Shit bc we're clowns
but the sheer vulnerability you have to have esp in a first love situation to be willing to go through with that for the first time ever takes a lot of trust and courage, aspects I think Trish was able to give him and would solidify in asking something seen as so important for many people from him, the headstrong Trish wants to be vulnerable for him and the slowly confidence boosted Narancia wants to accept that faith and trust and love and exchange it with his own of the same for her, it's not horny teens 100% it's two hurt but hopeful kids on the verge of having to be adults wanting to find another piece of identity in how they are with someone else, obvs it will forever be offscreen bc pedos deserve to be skinned alive
I just feel that the components that would fuel them to do something teens try to do to feel more adult and bc hormones are a lot more based in growing maturity than pure lust, I think this is what I fully mean by Writing About Teens Exploring Love And Sexuality; Not Fetishizing And Reveling In Showing The Act Itself Especially For Disgusting Titillation, I think this and not explicitly writing the sex are the difference between child porn and creating realistic characters

Yeah, it is going to sound like a dumb take but the topic of sex and sexuality itself is not inherently sexual, by which I meant it isn’t the focus — there’s SO much more to it and in this case especially it can be like the ultimate sign of love, trust, intimacy, compassion, trying to make your way as a teen through a harsh world, like I can go on. Nasties Dont Interact but the shying away from the mere mention of it in a non-sexualized context is unrealistic.
Yes The Grateful Dead fight i 1000% agree is so important in both his personal growth and the development of their relationship, I think it’s an important parallel that he is dumbfounded about her going to such lengths to keep him alive without the sense of duty/obligation versus Trish’s feelings and outbursts of confusion on why Bucciarati and his gang even cared about her, protecting her to the point of death being on the line.(edited)

all these elements of complication and similarities between their characters is why ive gotten so passionate about both them and their relationship (whether romantic or platonic it’s really fucking strong and good), the story of two kids making it through adversity, learning to unshoulder their burdens and lean on others, the Found Family™️, and learning and growing together is just so much more fucking deep and complex than the mainstream bs that exists.
now im not any type of elitist hipster but esp in male and female relationships portrayed in what feels like basically fucking everything are just like CompHet Bullshit and they’re together bc They Are Just Supposed To Be (not to mention the toxic masculinity culture within that where the women barely have character arcs and are just seen as objects anyways) But what I’m trying to say is that in this the relationship is real and it feels earned in a way that just isn’t there in so much other media out there(edited)

Okay, so. Lavender Grey and Mason Adalbert are both huge dorks. They are. And they're in love and it's beautiful. So, here are some dialogues I've made up for them haha.

Did you know Lav's favorite way to hold Mason is by straddling him and snuggling into his chest while holding each other taught? Also he strokes her hair and face as well ((Note- on this blog straddling is never s*xual)) And they're on her bed, with a warm blankey, enjoying the moment :'') They nap/sleep together all the time. For reals. Mason has been in her room more times than he can count lol. They are so cute and fluffy and in love it makes me so soff Lav wears flavored lip balm all the time (like me, currently wearing the flavor strawberry sprinkle :p) , so she likes to kiss him and she'll be all like "What flavor is it? OwO" and he'll either actually guess or be like "Hmmm, I dunno, I need to taste it again ;)" cause he's flirty like that sometimes and they're favorite flavor is root beer. Or he decides to purposely guess something very wrong to mess with her, and guesses things that are inedible like “toothpaste” and they both giggle about it YES. HE WOULD.

I just had a wonderful idea. Lav and Mason, on a fruit farm date, And they have so much fun. There's a bunch of kids there as well, and it's so cute seeing them help the babies reach stuff. Or taking pictures for other families. Yessss love that.

"Okay. Ah-" and then she catches his mouth in a kiss and starts passionately kissing him. He's kissing her back as well, and after a minute or two, they depart and he holds her in his lap. The sun is going down, so they head to Mason's house, and they put away all the fruit they didn't already eat, and now they're in his room. Mason lays on his bed, Lav right after. Then they get real close and snuggle into each other. "I love you." "I love you too." And then they drift to sleep.

Oh Vivi and Arthur would absolutely LOVE the Pepperberry, they would never let Lewis live it down. They would pepper it in (hehe) to their conversations from time to time and Lewis would always be caught off guard by it. The night of their wedding. They go to their room it's literally DRENCHED in pillows and blankets and sheets. There's a note from everyone that says "do what you want :p" They build the best pillow fort ever and be cute and cuddle and snuggle. They also try for a baby but that's another story lol
XD I love that tho pillow forts are most certainly their thing. They do it every Friday night and watch a sappy movie too with their favorite beverage.
I LOVE YOU, YES They're watching Frozen and Lav is belting all the songs as Mason awkwardly dances, he sings along as well. Big cuddle time, Lav is probably laying in or on Mason’s lap, or against his side with her arms wrapped around him and his hand stroking her hair. Kenny was bored. It was the last week of summer vacation, with the first day of Middle School fast approaching. Orientation was tomorrow, his class schedule would be arriving in the mail soon, and the period of sleepovers whenever and not getting his sorry ass up until noon would be replaced with the daily pattern of the bus stop and classes.
The rest of the guys were wrapped up in some end of summer bullshit with Eric, trying to cram their last week of freedom with as much adolescent crazy as possible. Kenny had been right there with them for a chunk of it, but things had escalated, as they do, and he’d ended up with an iron rod through the eye.
At least brain damage blocks out some of the pain in the last few seconds. Take out a chunk of the frontal lobe, suddenly I don’t give a fuck about anything anymore.
He’d flipped on a local radio show to keep abreast of what the fuck was happening in town, just in case things got bad crazy for his friends… but for now, he was content staying in his room, idly texting one of his other buddies who had listened to Eric’s last ditch summer fun plan and walked the fuck out, and browsing the web for a new bikini babe to put on his phone’s home screen.

Dee’s response briefly sat atop his screen, making his eyebrows raise up beneath his tightly drawn hood. The fall chill was coming, but it wasn’t cold enough for his parents to turn the heat on just yet. Still no answer. It was weird; Dee usually announced when he was dropping out of a one-on-one text conversation. It was a courtesy Kenny had gotten used to, even if it was kinda weird for a guy friend to observe the social niceties over text.
A sense of dread grabbed the bottom of his spine, making him sit up a little straighter in bed as a vague anxiety worked it way between vertebrae like the many tiny legs of a centipede. Each individual tip prickled his skin along the way.
Finally, there was an answer.
[Received, 11:02] Text Wendy. We have a situation.
Creeping dread was shed off with a heavy exhale, but the next inhale brought in a more serious sense. Dee’s situations were a regular issue… and when the kid suddenly stopped answering, Kenny had been well and truly worried that one of those situations had gotten to him before they could do something about it.
They weren’t just partners. They were friends. He cared about the guy. Cared enough to put his immortal ass in front of government agents and take the occasional bullet for the fucker. Sudden radio silence was shit that made him paranoid, but now that tension could turn to something a bit more proactive.

Jinyoung groans as he hears the doorbell, rubbing his wet hair with a towel.
"You're an hour late, are you seri-"
His eyes widen, the words die in his throat; it's not Jackson - who he expected - it's a boy, tall, tan, and really handsome - with a Pizza Hut uniform and two XL-boxes in his hands.
And Jinyoung wears nothing but a towel around his waist.

"Uhm." Jinyoung says.
"Uhm." The boy replies.
"You look too suprised to be the one who ordered two extra large pepperoni?", the boy kind of asks, blinking in confusion.
"Uhm", Jinyoung just replies - his brain just decided to shut down and close all the tabs of vocabulary he ever used in a panic reaction."N-no, sorry-", he stutters out, all his brain is sending him is LOL DUDE U NAKED SUCKS TO BE U and tons of XD's in between.
He bites his lips and tries not to blush; he clears his throat while planning every word carefully in his brain.
"Uh - they - they actually made a mistake with the numbers on this floor. You probably just picked the wrong bell; this is 331, but this is the side of the even numbers...uh, just...just ring over there."
"Okay", the delivery boy replies, and then, he turns around just as slowly as he replied.
It's like you can feel the awkward tension in the whole building, and this one has over 20 floors.
Jinyoung closes the door and smacks his hands over his cherry red face.
"Fuck!"
After 30 seconds of rushing through his apartment and getting dressed like the flash, the bell rings again.
This time, Jinyoung opens the door before speaking - just to face the handsome boy again.
"Uh, hi - again - uhm...the lady of 332 said she didn't order something either, so this is either a mistake or misunderstanding ooor-"
"No, it isn't!", a voice yells behind them, and two seconds after that, a tan hand friendly pats the delivery boy's shoulder.
"AYO JINNIE WHAT'S UP", Jackson yells while passing the delivery boy, squeezing Jinyoung in the doorstep.
Jinyoung has already enough.
"Jackson, I swear to god - I'll kill you. You're like what, an hour late?! And what is this even?", he snaps, pointing at the other boy with an excusing face.
"Yeah, sorry 'bout that - got interrupted - and because of that, I ordered food as an excuse - never say I ain't a good man. I even picked the one you love the most because I love you soooo much!", the chinese boy shouts while walking into Jinyoung's apartment dropping his things.
Jinyoung closes his eyes and sighs.
"Does your excuse include paying for that or is that on me?", he asks with a bitter smile.
"Err", Jackson replies, looking at his friend who's leaning in the doorframe, arms crossed, with big eyes and a cutely faked smile.
"Park-gaeeee~", he purrs, "wasn't my efford already enough?"
"I'm going to kill you", 'Park-gae' growls, facing the delivery man again while trying not to think about what happened earlier. "You looove meee", Jackson yells from the living room.
"You are an annoying braaaaat", Jinyoung yells back while signing the portable payment machine.
"Doesn't change the fact that you looove meee", he gets back.
Jinyoung can't help but snort with laughter.
"Your boyfriend seems kind of...stressing", the boy remarks, and Jinyoung huffs.
"If he was my boyfriend, I'd probably already have killed him because I couldn't live with the burden. Besides that, If I had one I would make him pay", he murmurs while taking the two cartonages, asking himself why the FUCK he just said that.
"You can at least help me now, cunt", he shouts, and Jackson appears a second after, taking the boxes with one hand and trying to use them for chin-ups.
Jinyoung rolls his eyes; the delivery boy laughs.
"Well thanks, I guess...Jaee-bumm", Jackson reads from the little shield on his chest. "You're truly the hero of the night. You're saving lives right now", he says in a serious tone and Jinyoung shakes his head. "Yeah, but you probably won't be able to save his life when I kill him tonight", he adds quietly and 'Jaebum' chuckles.
"You comin' ?", Jackson asks from the back of the kitchen.
"Okay, well", Jaebum speaks up, and Jinyoung rises his head to face him.
"Enjoy your meal", he says with a smirk, and his eyes scan Jinyoung's now dressed upper body. "I surely already did.", he adds with a wink and turns around, leaving a blushing Jinyoung with a dropped jaw behind.
