How to get away from antiship spaces (mostly)

Warnings: Long post, antis mention, mentions of pedophilia, rape, self harm and gore (none show, not descriptive)

Have you recently learned that you align yourself with the proship label? Would you like to get away from antis as safely as you can? Here's what I've learned, as an ex anti:

1. It may be hard, but try to get rid of/abandon your accounts where you used to interact with antis.

This is one of the hardest steps because having a lot of followers can be discouraging, but it's the safest approach in this situation, because if antis see you following or interacting with proshippers they WILL question you about it and depending on how you tackle their asks they'll throw you to the wolves and publicly "warn" people about you so people can mass report your account/harass you

This applies to anything; Tumblr blogs, Twitter profiles, Discord servers, if you've interacted with antis block them and delete your account if you decide to adopt the proship label

Antis constantly claim that they don't harass people but as soon as someone drops the anti label they dogpile them and call them "traitors" as well as their usual buzzwords to catch people's attention, it's better to pull the plug directly than just rebrand your account

1.5. If you REALLY want to keep your account because you've used it for a long time or because it works as a portfolio, please create a different account to post about proship content

If you make a new account remember to block your anti mutuals/followers from your main account before you start posting, art styles can be very unique and easy to spot similarities in, as well as typing patterns and reoccurring emojis/symbols

If there's the option to, keep your profile private until you've built a steady environment for yourself, if you prefer to keep your profile private permanently that's also a good option!

Remember, your safety matters more than numbers on a screen!

2. This one should go without saying but, please don't share much of your trauma/mental health issues/triggers with people online in general, but especially not with antis

I used to talk about my struggles and vent publicly a lot, antis would stalk my accounts and send me all types of fucked up content.

I've had people send me rape videos and threats, people telling me I deserved the abuse I went through, people would send me gore and self harm images, as well as suicide tutorials.

They can and will use all of it to their advantage, they're restless and will dig up even decade old posts if they feel it'll be useful for them. It can and will take a toll on your mental health, so please save yourself the trouble and only open up with people you genuinely trust and feel safe talking to!

You're not alone, but please don't let dangerous people take advantage of you when you're at a bad spot

3. Keep an eye on your followers, especially if your profiles are public. There are always some things to look out for to make sure your followers aren't antis pretending to be proshippers

According to my personal experience, here's some red flags to look out for:

A.Antis think that the word proship means problematic ship, so they'll refer to pairings as "a proship"

Most proshippers dislike this terminology because it comes from an incorrect definition and usually avoid it

B. TikTok antis specifically come up and use a lot of emoji combos, creating meanings for them and usually adding one or two combos that are actually known to proshippers, along with some never seen before

A lot of the time they use it to identify themselves, a sign that means "I'm not actually a proshipper, just baiting"

I've also seen antis use the clover emoji in combos, inspired by the "clovergender/cloversexual" scam that 4channers came up with, to make it seem like the LGBTQ+ community was welcoming to offending pedophiles. Antis do this because they assimilate the proship label with problematic ships, mostly age gaps/underage content

C. Their account is brand new but they already follow a lot of proshippers. This is usually because they'll follow proshippers who've been posted on a blocklist, usually in the exact order that they've been listed too

If they're on Tumblr, they'll usually keep the people they follow public, so that other antis can find and harass those proshippers

D. Keep an eye on their follow list. Like stated above, they'll usually keep it public and 9 times out of 10 there will be an out of place antiship account, it's most likely their main profile/account/blog

E. They'll use their usual buzzwords on their own posts

For example, if they're trying to mimic a proselfship account they'll post pictures of underage characters and caption it things like "omg i'm such a pedo" and tag their post with proship related tags

Of course this doesn't apply to everyone, so it's always important to take context into consideration, as well as how many of these red flags may apply.

And lastly, please remember that the block button is your friend.

If someone's interacting with you and something about them seems/feels off, block and move on

Unsung Heroes; Unspoken Lines: Issue #1

Good morning, all, and welcome to what I hope can become a new discussion group for all of the unsung heroes of "The Bad Batch", as well as the many plot directions that never quite made it to the small screen.

Some of you may have already seen me in the tags already, while others may have not. You might have also tuned in for one of my "Fandom Friday" posts, or perhaps haven't seen any yet. Nevertheless, I will type my thoughts to the best of my ability here, as well as triple-check every post before submission so that I don't come across as complaining solely for the sake of complaining.

Before we get started, though, let me just offer up a huge thank-you to everybody who took the time to respond to my request post, as I really didn't think this would go past 3 likes...yet here we are now with around 20 brave souls besides myself, so. You all have my gratitude for this, and again, I will do my best not to squander it.

Second, just a few rules to put out here: as this is meant to be an actual discussion, and not just some Instagrammy thing where you like this post and disappear...I really prefer the responses made with typing words, and not the ones made with pictures, so please answer accordingly.

Thirdly, if there's anyone out there who never wants to question so much as a single line that megacorporation-produced entertainment delivers to them, and also lowkey mocks anyone that does on their own blogs...please filter out the tag "tbb: deep dives" so that our extensive observations don't ruin your fun.

And so, now that I've set up the format and guidelines...without further adieu, let us go to our first subject of this series: The Lawquanes!

In the beginning, I believed that characters such as Cut and Suu would be the basis for an extended support network for the Batch, even if just through a secure comm or two. They could have served quite well in this regard, too, be it as two of several insiders warning them to steer clear of certain planets; helping answer as many parenting questions as they could; and more or less showing that nobody now having to look after a young person would be required to go it alone.

Furthermore, as there are such things as family friends and child-raising discussion groups in real life, and on a more general note, ZOOM calls…naturally, I didn’t expect anything different for the likes of Hunter, Echo, and the rest.

Except it…kind of was. Other than Shep Hazard’s few appearances in Season 2, once Cut and Suu took their kids and hit the skids…that was pretty much it for any and all outside help, for the family was never brought up again.

This, in turn, meant no secret chats between Shaeeah and Omega; no surprise stealth visits from Cut just to see how everybody was adjusting; no deliveries of hand-me-down clothing or toys for the squad to save their credits; and, frankly, in the absence of a support network, it started to feel like these company execs were suggesting that it’s much better for newly formed families to go it alone rather than even think about asking for help.

Add to this the idea of introducing characters from previous series solely to take them away not long after, and it amounts to a bad habit of isolating the title characters, if not also alienating those who might have otherwise created long-term relationships with them.

Granted, in the early stages of this series, there was the creeping evil of the Empire to worry about and early on, it wasn’t hesitating to crack down. That idea was 100% concrete, so far be it from me to question such things.

What wasn’t so concrete, however, was the need to keep on avoiding each other when one, most of the title cast were able to interact with Rex during all 3 seasons and had slim to no consequences; two, they could pretty much go anywhere as long as the galaxy thought them dead; and three, there was no further chatter about going after deserters. This created quite the opening for new faces to show up and stay there…yet again, not a word from the Lawquanes, who simply vanished into the ether and never returned.

So, if I may have the opportunity to ask, and if you all have the time to answer...it just might be time for our first Question Of The Week.

Hello! I hope you are doing well. I have been following your concepts on [cursed bird app] for a while now and find your stance on the totk rewrite intruiging. Since twitter ofc is never a good place to elaborate on anything lmao, I figured I would ask on here after finding out about your tumblr.

You are welcome to take as much time as you need for this, but I was very curious to hear more about why you feel totk 'fails as a sequel' in terms of writing. I can agree that the whole zonai thing did come out of left field a little, and I never did like the whole "zelda is once again separated from you for 90% of the game," bit (bc c'mon Nintendo again? Really??) but I was curious about what else you found dissatisfaction in and sought to redo

If your plan though is to do so gradually as you go with the new rewrite concepts you piece together and post, that is fine too. I just get more curious about your opinion bc you always seem to have a *lot* you want to say outside of just tag ramblings xD

i have talked alot about the things i dislike about totk, all my general talking (not just about totk tho) is tagged with "ganondoodles talks" and all my longer rants should be tagged with "ganondoodles rants" (tho that tag is new idk if i remembered to put it everywhere) so i think it might be easier if you searched for these on my blog bc thats were all my ramblings go and, with no ill intent, have talked about it so much already i kinda dont want to spend hours writing out something that just ends up repeating myself really

somethign i can say that the main thing on why it fails as a sequel to me is .. bc its not .. a sequel really, it reuses map and models but doesnt elaborate on anything from botw (the zonau were barely even a thing in botw and now in totk their stuff looks way different and they have been here all along actually(tm) ) the shiekah stuff is basically erased despite it having been so build into the world of botw (and you could have just .. explored them more bc theres lots of cool stuff to do with them still), characters act weirdly off, stuff that was seemingly build up and was a perfect slide into a sequel either gets ignored or just straight up erased, themes dont match up at all and more

it just feels like they tested the glue mechanic for 3 years and everything else was an afterthought, i felt empty at the end, in a bad way, it felt like the game was actively mocking me for caring so much about botw at times and totk actively hurts botw too imo (with some reveals etc)

they should have just called it an alternative dimension thing like majora and half my complaints could be dismissed, but its not so im super frustrated bc i love botw a ton

if there are more specific questions you are free to ask about it again of course! this is not meant to sound dismissive but me typing out stuff can take a long time and im behind on so much work already qnq

also all development both visual and writing concepts for my rewrite are tagged with "ganondoodles rewrites totk" so you can find everything with that too :D

I literally did not know The Baby Is You was a thing. To be welcomed back into the comic like this after four months is very on brand for Homestuck.

... and wow, its outro really does match the end of this song, doesn't it? That's even funnier than if he'd snuck some of Megalovania in there.

Ooh, that's another liveblog I'll want to check out when I'm done! I've never actually seen a Worm liveblog before. Adding it to the list myself!

Nothing's really changed since I've been gone! I make a conscious effort not to do much Homestuck analysis off-blog, since I want my journey to be fully documented here.

It's good to be back! I'm looking forward to a full reread when I'm done.

At some point, before we reach the end of the comic, I'm going to have to formalize my approach to liveblogging Homestuck's side content.

What I'll probably do is give each of them the 'lite' treatment initially, but if they turn out to be more canonical than I thought, or particularly interesting to liveblog, I'll 'zoom in', and analyze them properly. We'll see how we go!

Could you imagine the relationship dynamics in your average troll soap opera? The shipping web for a single season would make our heads explode.

The first thing I'd try would be a star chart, Dave's magnifier and a literal planetful of Grist.

Do people think Act 1 is pointless?

I mean, it is the slowest Act in terms of pacing, but slow pacing isn't always a bad thing. You sort of have to take it slow when your readers have this much to get to grips with.

...okay, maybe we didn't need quite as many Sylladex mishaps as we got. But we still needed some. Homestuck has a lot to introduce you to.

I always pictured an English accent for Hass - although, interestingly, I didn't picture one for Jade. As a headcanon, I like the NZ one better.

Where did Grandpa grow up again, actually? He was raised by Fake Mark Twain, who was from Missouri - but I don't have a clue what a Missouri accent sounds like, let alone one from a century ago. I have a funny feeling that it's not the accent I'm imagining coming from Jade.

Now that's a ship I'd never have seen coming. Props to Hussie for coming up with something more controversial than my Feferi<>Equius.

All four kids, with four endgame weapons, might be able to challenge Jack's current incarnation - but they're not going to get the chance. You've hit the nail on the head - he's semi-perfect Jack for a reason.

I have several theories for Jade's prototyping, and every single one of them would make Jack even more dangerous than before. It's just barely possible to challenge him now, but things will only get worse.

Read the room, Serket!

Would Vriska have tried to negotiate? She feels like the type of person who'd rather take a beating than admit they're outclassed. Plus, I'm not sure how much she'd have to offer Aradia, who seemed entirely motivated by revenge (and, possibly, secretly motivated by timeline stuff).

All that said, I would have loved to hear Vriska trying to worm her way out of this.

I love it! Please send in the completed house, if you get the chance. That's going to look so cool with a moving meteor.

And they're both easily distractible! This feels like two people who might actually get on surprisingly well, if they were in, say, the same high school class.

It's hard to say what's a rarepair, since I don't know what ships are rare in the fandom - although I'd have a few guesses about the most common ones.

If we're going for a ship with very tenuous connections, I will submit Rose x Feferi for your appraisal. They're both fans of the Noble Circle, and their signature colors are pretty close.

You know what, I'll just review all of your ships. Tavros/Gamzee - PB&J - is pretty cute. [] I'd recommend Miracle Child for a number of reasons, but it does include a well-written Gamtav. Jack/Droog is more <> to me than it is <3. Like One Sundered Star might be influencing that? I'm not really sure. Somewhere I think I saw a Jack<>Droog. Your pre-shipping chart post isn't in the chrono; also, I'm pretty sure the A6A6I5 ask is one of mine. Gamzee/Eridan is a rarepair; I've seen it, but not often, and it's a <> in the fic I'm referencing. Kanaya<>Terezi and Feferi<>Vriska are strange enough that I've never seen them anywhere, really. [] And finally, Vriska and Tavros. These two are the textbook example of why the ashen quadrant needs to exist, and they're a perfect pair for it. [] ~LOSS (8/1/23)

I don't even know if Carapacians have moirallegiance - but those two would definitely work if they did.

Out of all my ships you flagged as rare, I think my favorite is Feferi<>Vriska. I just think they'd gel weirdly well together!

Hey sorry if this comes up on a couple of blogs don’t know who answers too much but I know this kind of question has come up a lot before but is God accepting of everyone who comes to him weather they have done anything and ask forgiveness and things that maybe aren’t even sin but maybe people judge or whatever tattoos or expressing yourself, listening to music (not bad music just not all gospel) or abortion even and coming to ask for forgivensss for that because I know so many times myself or others I know feel peace with God about these things but then suddenly someone who is a Christian in some way makes some comments to make it seem like it’s pointless bc we will never be this perfect Christian or like other people who haven’t done things that they don’t like and it hurts bc in my heart I know God loves me but at the same time it feels like when I hear these things and one of my friends recently felt judged and shamed too - it feels like maybe they’re right and God doesn’t like us the same way other people and won’t forgive or treat us the same as his other children and idk deep down I think I know it’s a lie but it’s hard and also is it true that God sees the heart we have for him and not what others think?

God loves everyone the same, Christian or non Christian, because we are His children. You can come to God in prayer to ask for forgiveness for anything. God knows we will sin because you and I, even those people you speak about, we are sinners. None of us are perfect but God alone. Do not despair or be afraid. God will not turn you away when you ask for forgiveness and seek His divine mercy. Tattoos are art and in themselves not a sin, but rather it’s the content of the tattoo that we must consider (for example, it wouldn’t be good to have Satan tattooed on your body or any pentagram). If you do have tattoos of bad content, you can always cover them up with clothes or makeup, have them covered over with a new tattoo, or laser removed (which I hear is pretty painful). Music is good I listen to non gospel music all the time, I asked God to forgive the music that I listen to when I was lead into occult things in my past. Yes, you can also come to God to ask forgiveness for abortion as well, whether it was your own or someone you helped to get one.

I’m not sure if you are Catholic or not (since you did not specifically say so or not), but I want to tell you about the beauty of one of our sacraments, called the Sacrament of Confession. Jesus waits for you in the confessional to listen to your sins through the Catholic priest. There is no sin so shocking that a priest has not heard. Under law of the church, priests are forbidden to break the seal of confession. The seal is protected with their life. As Catholics, all sin is forgivable except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. After you go to confession immediately do penance, you become as white as snow, a state of grace. It’s the most beautiful feeling to have the burden of sin be taken from us and to be healed. Consider perhaps, in the future, coming to a Catholic Mass. You don’t have to be Catholic to go to one of our Masses, all are welcome.

6. Show us a bit of a WIP!

This is from "rocks off"--

“You keep giving me secondhand fantasies, Paulie. I want something just for you and me.”

Paul raised up a bit, bracing himself with one arm. He was looking at Ace one aspect at a time. Long, skinny legs, not much hair on them. Damp curls, wet mound– Ace was still sitting on top of him– small, jutting hips, small, pert breasts, all in contrast to his somewhat pouchy gut. The only fat really on him was right there at his stomach. All that champagne and beer, all that greasy, rich food on tour, and yet Paul knew damn well that Ace still weighed less than him. So unfair.

Ace’s face now. Some prettier, but recognizable. Still scarred up and pockmarked. No beauty queen, no Playboy playmate. He’d been left as himself, same as Paul, and Paul had been cruel to him for it. Having Ace buy lingerie he didn’t fill out, just to make him insecure. Just to tear into him for not measuring up, because Paul himself didn’t feel like he measured up right now. Even Paul putting on the lingerie that another man had bought him– he hadn’t meant that as a jab, but that didn’t matter. He’d sliced into Ace with such precision he was amazed Ace was still even in bed with him.

Ace hadn’t had to be pretty to mess around with before, back when they’d both had the right bodies. None of that had mattered. He’d just had to be Ace.

“Something just for you and me,” Paul said quietly. “If that’s what you want, then stop talking about Gene.”

“Can’t help it. He’s all over the goddamn place.”

“He doesn’t have to be.”

Ace pushed Paul’s curls back behind his ear, a gesture too oddly tender for Paul to believe.

“I can’t have you the way he could. The way I wanna.” Two of Ace’s fingers ran across Paul’s lips– Paul parted them on hazy automatic. “The way you wanna.”

So that was it, then. Some of it. Paul’s lips closed around Ace’s finger, sucking lightly for just a few seconds, before he pulled away with a small, wet pop.

“Ace,” he said, “what the hell do you know about what I want?”

7. Is there a piece of clothing you think [character] is particularly fond of/that you imagine them wearing a lot or like to draw them in?

I'm not a very visual person at all, so sadly, no. Everyone is stuck in jeans in most of my fics.

15. Have you noticed your style changing over time?

I have been at the fanfic game for longer than a lot of tumblrites have been alive-- sadly, due to not reading very many actual books, my style has not changed overly much in the last ten years or so. I'm relying on the same bag of tricks as ever (parallelism, implications).

19. What's your favorite thing about [fandom] (the people in it, not the media you're all enjoying together)?

You know, in real life, it's probably actually the most welcoming fandom I've ever been in. I have never been treated poorly by anyone I met at a KISS event and in fact have always been treated extremely kindly. KISS fans get a bad rap for being bitter but in my experience it's not really true. Kissblr has been pretty good to me overal as well and has led me to meet and befriend some wonderful people.

20. When did you first join Tumblr? How long was it between that and finding [fandom]?

I first joined tumblr 12 years ago (I had an Angel Sanctuary blog). I have been involved in the KISS fandom on tumblr since 2018 but have been interested in KISS since the Reunion era, when I was a kid.

22. Give us a headcanon for [character].

In the merfic, purple tails (particularly in the New York area) are basically akin to having brown eyes in terms of being common. Blue tails are just slightly less common, then green, and red/pinkish are the least common.

All the mer are inbred and that accounts for their problems reproducing as well as issues like Paul's condition (both his microtia and his always-remaining purple splotching). Oh, wait, I don't think that's a headcanon because it's basically right there in the fic.

In t&a or any permutations of it, Paul could absolutely have orgasmed as a girl on his own if he'd let go of his anxiety about it more (and stopped just sticking his fingers in!).

Ace probably told Paul the way to break the curse was to have sex with Peter.

At the end of t&a, on the other end of the line, Ace is asking Paul if he's checked to see if his dick is still working properly.

23. Has your favorite character/ship changed over time?

I don't know that I ever had a favorite ship, it's always been a rough trifecta of Paul/Gene, Paul/Ace, and Ace/Peter.

Favorite to write about is still Paul. That's mostly because he's just easy to write because he has a lot of traits people identify with (anxiety, depression, body image issues, insecurity).

24. What's your favorite thing about [character]?

Aw, I guess I love Ace because he's very offbeat. I am not a linear thinker at all and so someone like Gene (who is extremely linear), for example, is sometimes difficult for me to understand. But Ace is charming, out there in what you assume is lala land but isn't really. I feel like Ace has a very Mittyesque view of life.

25. What's your least favorite thing [character] said or did?

In real life, they all said and did terrible things, mostly to each other, their spouses, their groupies, and the people that worked for/with them.

Ficwise... I tend to write a somewhat more acrid/cruel Paul than most people (and a particularly bitter Peter); I guess my least favorite thing I ever had him do was not admit in "no change in the weather" to Peter that he is, indeed, cheating him (in the sense that Ace is getting paid much more per show, unbeknownst to Peter), so maybe that makes the climax and conclusion of that story a little hollow, if you know your kisstory....

In "careening," a drunken Paul propositions Bruce in a restaurant, which wasn't cool, either.

In "rocks off," which isn't complete/posted yet (but that's the title of the fic that the excerpt above is from), Paul is mean enough to semi-make Ace buy lingerie he has no hope of filling out, just to try to make him feel insecure.

Hi! Recently I’ve been questioning whether I’m plural, (as you might’ve guessed, since I’m sending an ask to this blog, lol) but I’m scared that I’m subconsciously like, internalizing/being influenced by what systems mention about their experiences somehow? (Not sure if internalizing would be the right word, sorry lol)

Anyway, I dissociate a lot— especially recently (I’m a bit stressed form a play that I’m in and that seems to influence it, but that’s not what I’m meant to talking to you about). I’ve jokingly referred to it as going into a ‘video game character mode’, since it feels as if I’m not exactly controlling/experiencing being in my body— like a video game or movie.

The thing about it is, I’m always vaguely aware of what’s happening, it’s just like being numb. The closest I can compare it to is if you suddenly were experiencing the effect of laughing gas? If that makes any sense?

I change my preferred name and pronouns a lot, too, because my personality almost feels like it changes? But it’s still me, I think?

I don’t know, it confuses me a lot and I’m unsure. If you need more information about my experiences to help me with that more, I’ll happily provide it!

So, first of all I'd like to reassure you of two things!

One, there is actually an origin term for forming based on being around lots of other systems. Imo, this would be likely to happen due to things like autistic mirroring or "copycat" behaviors that can be caused by any number of types of neurodivergence.

Assimulogenic: An origin of plurality that involves gaining plurality due to assimilation or becoming plural because you are surrounded by plurals, very close with a plural, look up to a plural, or for any other reason one's subconscious would begin to assimilate. This is not a willogenic origin, meaning you do not chose to become plural, but it can be related to a common feeling of whistfulness in *wishing* you were plural or you were like the system that you are close with

However, what's even more common is realizing existing plurality as you start to interact with other systems. This is actually how we initially realized. We met ONE other system and our whole egg carton cracked like it was dropped on the floor xD

What you describe as "video game character mode" does sound like it could be someone switching in while you maintain awareness of the front. Looking into types of plural consciousness, like monoconsciousness, polyconsciousness, and more complicated types may help, though we are EXTREMELY BAD at explaining them (we're sorry! TT).

But yeah, that all makes sense and sounds like pretty classic dissociation. The changing names and pronouns while still feeling like you may be related to where you fall on the median to multiple scale (so, how separated and distinct you are from your headmates) or may have to do with your consciousness type, blendiness, or confronting... but honestly even in extremely multiple systems of any type I feel like this is pretty common. In a sense, you're all you (system) but not necessarily all the same you (individual), if that makes sense?

Anyway, you are welcome to share more experiences if you would like. The policy of this blog is to never tell anyone they are a system (no "I diagnose you with system!" xD) but it's very specifically because we are here to offer guidance but at the end of the day, you know your experiences better than we can.

However, if what you're looking for is just affirmation that you can identify as plural/a system: Yes. If you feel like you are a system, you can. If you're unsure, too, trying the label can help determine if it fits! You often can't tell if clothing fits just by looking at it, and the same goes for labels. You're not hurting anyone or taking any resources by exploring yourself/selves. If it turns out not to fit, no harm has been done, and you've had self-discovery you wouldn't have had without it.

But if it does, you will have found out specifically by trying it, and that's great! Not to throw a platitude at you, but you can do whatever you want forever with these labels. xD

I hope this helps, and want to make sure that this is a safe space. If any other potential headmates of yours want to share their own thoughts or experiences here, they are also welcome to.

It boils down to though, we trust your/y'all's judgment. Take the time you need to explore and figure out and feel secure in your identity. Whether you decide you're plural, or just an ally, we will welcome you here nonetheless <2

fears of a young queer (bi)

(Using this as a kinda online diary thing??? But on the off chance that this gets attention, I’ll answer questions as well.)

I started to question my “straightness” when I was 14 but didn’t properly figure out I was bi until I was 15.

Im 16 now and I’ve finally come out to my parents. But this isn’t about all that (I will talk about my coming out experience sometime?) I just wanna talk about some of the fears I’ve experienced since i figured out I was bi.

1: My parents reaction.

oh boy being in the closet is NOT for the faint of heart. In all seriousness, one of the biggest reason I was afraid to come out to my parents was because they’re Christian, and they raised me and my siblings as Christian. I’m sure I don’t need to explain why this would cause me worry. I used to “test the waters” so to speak by asking my parents what they thought about the lgbtq and anything that related to it whenever the topic came up or was talked about on the news. Their opinion was more or less “it doesn’t impact me, and god is the only judge, so idc” which isn’t bad but isn’t great?? How they feel about their own child coming out as lgbtq? The nightmare of being rejected by my parents scared me bad. I’m close to my parents, we have a great bridge of trust between us. I didn’t want to “ruin” it. and this wasn’t their fault, of course not. But one can’t help but to imagine theses types of nightmare scenarios, especially considering i was alone on this.

2:if I was lying to myself or not.

sometimes I would think that I was just “pretending” to be bi just to get attention. That’s not true, and even though i have no “proof” to prove this (like having dated both genders or something like that) I don’t need “proof”. If I am, then I must be. That’s how I work. I am creative, I love to read fanfics and I attempt at writing some of my own. I love drawing and I hope to artist like Stan Lee or Jack Kirby someday. Known for the worlds of characters I created. I am these things, I have never lied about myself about my interest just to popular or to get attention so why would now be different?

I’m sure I’m not alone in this. Self worth issues and being queer are one hell of a combo.

I guess that’s all I have in me or now. I might come back to writing out my feelings like this, it felt good. If anyone ever sees this and wants to discuss their experiences being bi or queer in general then you are welcome to using this blog. Anyways, to anyone reading this, have a good day.

Hello everyone, doing my introduction again, but I feel like it’ll be better hopefully.

Welcome to my blog where I find things and post random stuff like memes, art, sometimes screenshots of achievements and gameplay. I do a lot more! I do like to write fanfic, I like doing Q&As, overall I just like being a little social despite being socially awkward.

I am an artist for fun, I find all kinds of new games and things that’ll interest me and I am rather indecisive and a bit of a neat freak, (so hopefully I’ll be more satisfied with this intro.)

I like to watch anime, paranormal related shows, crime shows, and I love to read comic books and manga. I’m a bit of weeb so yes I’ve played otaku games and RPGs.

Current favorite animes/mangas are One Punch Man, HxH, Bleach, InuYasha, Demon Slayer, Bungou Stray Dogs, Osomatsu-San and more!

Current games I’m playing are Pokémon Go, Dislyte and Twisted Wonderland, if you want to friend me on Dislyte and TWST, just ask and I’ll give you my codes! I do enjoy connecting more with people who are interested in what I’m interested in.

I love other games too! I love Deltarune, Undertale, Animal Crossing, Sonic and Mario games, Pokémon, dead by daylight, resident evil, Devil May Cry, COD: MW2, and many more.

I do not like drama in general, I’m tired of seeing it, and most of the time it’s usually people who over-dramatize some things… Ofc there are situations in which cases they are VERY serious, and I’ll know it when I see it. Just saying, please keep the drama to yourselves, I’m not interested, nor will I ever be interested. This place here is for fun and silly things :}

Please if any of you guys are going through something, please please, I beg of you, get help, go to your nearest therapist, anything.

[Excruciating Duplicity - Callista Lorne] Character Personality / Character Inspirations ~ pt. 3

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to the next part of my Character Installment Analysis for the Lorne Family!

For those who might have missed pt. 1 or pt. 2 - this series is to explore the different personality types and share some character inspirations for some of the more under developed OCs here on the blog. Starting with the Lorne Family.

This is part 3 of 4 for this group.

In this post we will take a look at the three eldest girls, Calli's older sisters. If you have more questions, or you want to know more, feel free to ask! Enjoy~!

Evangeline

ISTP

A Virtuoso (ISTP) is someone with the Introverted, Observant, Thinking, and Prospecting personality traits. They tend to have an individualistic mindset, pursuing goals without needing much external connection. They engage in life with inquisitiveness and personal skill, varying their approach as needed.

Big sister energy. The one that always feels like she is better than you at everything. She is beautiful - powerful - strong willed - and never lets anyone talk back to her. Sometimes she can be socially awkward- but only select people would ever notice. Evangeline was the middle child for a long time - but never let that bother her. Her outward expression may give off the lone wolf vibe, but in reality she enjoys being around others. I believe the most accurate depiction of her would be Haruka.

While she is calm, cool, and collected most of the time - around her family, more specifically Lucille, she shows a more relaxed persona. While Dogyeom Park does not share the same personality type her alpha energy is exactly what I picture Evangeline having in public places. Lucy and Andriod 18 both embody this female bad a$$ that I want - where she isn't just smart and beautifully handsome - she could literally kill you.

Lucille

INFJ

An Advocate (INFJ) is someone with the Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging personality traits. They tend to approach life with deep thoughtfulness and imagination. Their inner vision, personal values, and a quiet, principled version of humanism guide them in all things.

Mature yet not all at the same time. A girl that knows she's meant to be like the older sister type, but have a tendency to tease just a little too much. Lucille grew up close with her other two sisters and favors them over anyone else. She is most like Michiru, with a strong tendency to fall more into Nozomi when she is dealing with her youngest sister (Callista).

While dealing with duties or in public, Lucille can play the part well. This is where the influence of Kikyo and Sagiri come in. It is through this air that she was able to find a husband, but then surprised him once she showed her more true self. Lucille knows that she doesn't need to ever be overly serious though, since she has such dutiful older siblings.

Ioanna

ESFJ-T

A Consul (ESFJ) is a person with the Extraverted, Observant, Feeling, and Judging personality traits. They are attentive and people-focused, and they enjoy taking part in their social community. Their achievements are guided by decisive values, and they willingly offer guidance to others.

As the youngest for years before Callista was born, Ioanna developed a bit of a complex about it. She is strong willed and often gets what she wants with a carefully placed doe eye. Even her eldest brother is a sucker for her charms. That being said, she is still a demon - and the daughter of a powerful one. She knows how to fight and isn't afraid of anything (thanks to a very strong support system). For her, I feel like the closest to her everyday would be Nana - though she is probably more like Domi all things considered.

Out of all her siblings, Ioanna was always the one looking for love. She fell hard and often for literally anyone - but most of that came from her 'naive' behavior. Despite this behavior, she is no fool. This is where she is like Tsunoda, knowing exactly that her behavior causes certain events to happen. At her most serious - aside from putting on a royal persona (like Domi), she is a lot like Kagome.

Thank you for responding to my ask. Sensational response. I wasn't expecting such a detailed break down of Cinder's self-esteem problems. I am not a huge fan of knightfall but I am a Cinder fan who keeps hearing that Cinder has an over inflated sense of self importance and I just didnt think that made sense. Thank you for explaining it so well. How do you think she can recover from being beaten down for so many years? How does she heal?

You definitely don't have to be a Knightfall fan to engage with my blog, you are always welcome to send asks about Cinder (that goes the same for Jaune). Knightfall is part of how I read Cinder's redemption, but I would never want to prohibit the space of discussing her based on shipping differences, so thank you for sending your ask in! Thank you for enjoying my response and for this lovely follow-up! I'm glad it was worthwhile most of all. (:

I agree, I think that saying Cinder has an over inflated sense of self-importance is... well, it doesn't just make sense, it's refusing to pay attention to her character at all, as I said they're the same people who uncritically celebrate Watts, which should give you an idea of how correct they are. The content of what a character says should be weighted in response to who they actually are and what relationship they have to the narrative. This is why you often see people bandying around quotes from other pieces of media who are often deadly wrong about what they're interpreting because it's something said by a villain. A critical misunderstanding of this is like something in The Rise of Skywalker - which broke the SW narrative - where the villain (Darth Sidious) said that Rey and Kylo would die fighting side by side, and they did, with no ironic reprisal or soothing balm. That is bad storytelling.

It's an interesting topic that you touched on because I feel it's something that is second nature to analysing Cinder - accepting that there are layers to her performance, that there is compensation, suppressed pain - and having the opportunity to articulate that is very valuable for me and is a great example of why I love asks/responses, so thank you for that. As I mentioned in the original ask, touching on this aspect of Cinder actually touches on a lot of major questions in the story... if love endures and is powerful/magical, should or can you help the deeply unloved and wounded? That's begging for an answer!

Part of what informs it is that because Ozlem's love story and technically absurd unhappy 'ending' - or long way around to a happy ending - is what the series is grounded in, that informs a lot of my answer. I feel that redeeming the Ozlem wound (and dealing with the brothers) is the narrative absolution we're looking for. That means love is a central in R/WBY - all types of love, yes, but friendship and family has been rejected for Cinder. An unloved, unwanted orphan abused and forced into servitude, whose one moment of 'freedom' after betrayal from the only person who showed her a scrap of affection was undercut by findng Salem (presumably) soon after - or Salem finding her - never had the opportunity for familial love. That's strike one. There is no family for Cinder who loved her that she can return to like many of the other characters - Weiss' arc would not be appropriate for her. There is no regression that she can engage in if she's meant to grow. She is kept as a little dead girl under Salem's thumb, and must grow beyond that (this is also why familial love would not heal - that is in part the curse of Madame and Salem, though there may be some more complicated development there with Salem, but this is why I would never expect a parentage reveal, it doesn't make sense and misunderstands the point of them in the first place anyway). Friendship? Can friendship touch her heart? But who? How do you get Cinder to be honest if she always assumes someone has an ulterior motive - always some type of bargain, always a price, always where someone might turn on you? Everything is conditional. Even her learning that she 'can't do it alone' in V8 - which is somehow miscontrued as her rejecting redemption, particularly after Watts tells her off - that is not 'enough'. She has not connected with those around her, she does not understand what it means to be unconditionally wanted and accepted.

You mentioned not liking Knightfall. I am going to say that Cinder and Ruby connecting is likely something that will happen. I'm not sure if you've been around here before, but I take it for granted that Ruby's silver eyes are meant to purify Cinder of the Dark Curse. Ruby's eyes are about protecting life

and Cinder curiously - curiously - comes up in conversation when Ruby has her lesson from Maria. That was done intentionally. Ruby's eyes will protect life (Cinder's). This feels like a foregone conclusion to me, but it may only be something that happens after Ruby confonts her mother wound (Summer) which is already being set up. I feel the order of events here is Summer -> Cinder -> Salem, Cinder's redemption arc precipitating a peaceful resolution (of some type) with Salem. So I want to stress the importance of that relationship. They are mirrors (technically speaking Ruby is Cinder's Jungian Shadow, but I'm not sure if you care for Jungian storytelling all that much, but there is a deep connection there), they are two halves of the moon separated (Ruby 'rose' like the moon - Cinder 'fell' like the other half on fire) who to heal the Ozlem conflict with the brother gods will be symbolically made whole.

Cinder getting into a position where she can trust Ruby - understand Ruby - where Ruby can understand Cinder - is where we are almost certainly heading. It's the noble use of Ruby's eyes. Not killing the dark, protecting life. Saving Cinder from the Dark Curse. (This likely mirrors freeing Oscar from Ozma's Curse as well). That feels like the ultimate direction to me. It's also a massive undertaking, and currently, Cinder feels that Ruby's eyes are the only threat to her - Salem has stoked this flame. The Maiden power is how Cinder feels safe, but the bargain she struck with Salem for using the Grimm power came at a cost of Ruby's eyes 'hurting' her, and we don't know exactly how the grafting of the Grimm arm went down - but Cinder is obviously not happy with it.

So how do you get her there? Does Ruby just wake up and realise Cinder isn't her enemy? Does Cinder? Clearly there's some connective tissue linking them. Emerald is probably going to help Mercury. Does that mean her job is helping Cinder see her enslavement? But how can she? She never let her in before, why now? Why when Cinder has already accepted that Emerald left - that Emerald broke free - that Emerald didn't need anything from her anymore? I don't think that's the ultimate direction of Emerald's character - maybe after the fact there's something there, but not the tie-breaker. Not the redemption arc that turns the tide, that the story has been building up to for the whole show with other redemption arcs (that all involve a major two-person interaction/development). This is a big deal. This is the Fall Maiden, last of the Maidens to join her sisters, endgame type business.

This is a redemption arc that needs someone who is willing to transgress Good and Evil, light and dark, and see with eyes unclouded by hatred. This is someone who will literally do anything for her, that is totally unconditional, that will never be taken back, that forgives her, the only person who could forgive her for the blackest misdeeds of her soul. This is someone whose character arc has been by necessity written alongside hers. Whose character arc has been developed in such a way in tandem with her own redemption - who has struggled, been disillusioned - whose pain links to hers, whose pain is hers. This is someone willing to be heretical.

I guess this is where I bring you the unhappy news that the only person who fits the bill is Jaune. Yes, I think romantic love is a solution to nursing that wound. How can you learn to love if you've never been loved? How do you learn that in a narrative out of nowhere? How do you accept that there's a different path - not running and not hiding - if you can't see your way out? This is not something that happens in isolation; narratively, there is no way that Cinder can wake up on her own and decide to love herself and free herself, because she tried to free herself from Madame and was punished for it. That's the world she's been taught she lives in.

You ask 'How does she heal'? Her healing and rebirth (by a healer lol) is part of the narrative answer to Ozlem. Her healing happens magically and during her redemption arc, because her redemption arc is her healing, it's her healing and it's her capability for transformational good beyond everything she's done. Her villainy is her pain, her redemption is her healing. These character arcs and archetypes that realise these ideas. They are not separate, they are representative.

Cinder's redemption arc is an affirmation of hope and change and is part of her narrative empowerment. If Jaune is part of what leads her to Ruby (and here you can really see the reason Jaune and Ruby's friendship matters) then this is part of the development of accepting her back into the community (and forgiveness?). Structurally speaking I think Jaune is the key, but once you open that up, the oppportunity for Cinder to open up is right there. This isn't realistic psychology, this is fiction, which means once you start intensifying the nature of Cinder's redemption arc and committing to it, you intensify her connection to other characters, you intensify her agency in the narrative, you intensify all the things she can do.

If Cinder's lack of self-esteem (and compensation for it) is addressed through her redemption, and she develops her sense of self through becoming a guardian of a Fall Maiden, then you have done all the work you needed. That's it. You've answered how Cinder can heal. By helping save the world and falling in love and pre-emptively making friendship bracelets for Ruby. Come on, as if I haven't already waited eight volumes for Cinder and Ruby to be really awkward friends. I'm dying for it. She'd be so intense about it. (Weiss is the mean best friend, that's her spot).

If Cinder's redemption is possible her healing is possible. If she is perpetually wounded then she is perpetually villainous.

This is how the ideas are linked. This is why her redemption is called for (and because if she's redeemed the Maiden power is redeemed, lol). I understand that some people feel that romantic love is reductive and doesn't make sense or Jaune doesn't make sense. I feel that Jaune's character makes more sense if you read him in relation to Cinder. He's complex and he's interesting and his ultimate narrative purpose reveals itself if it's related to Cinder - many people agree on this, just for different reasons from me. It's not about fighting what you hate, but saving what you love.

But I'm not going to write you a Knightfall manifesto; I presume you don't want that and you probably don't need that, and to be quite frank I have no agenda about it. I can only share what I think the story is trying to do and what I think makes sense, and whether you agree or not is totally up to you. I don't think romantic love is reductive, not if it's reciprocal and transformational and thematically motivated. I'm not talking about her or Jaune as dolly-love-interests who do nothing except look good, this is interrelated character growth and romance-realising-story and characters changing their perspectives and learning to love. If Cinder could have just learnt to love herself sooner - if it could have been anyone - why did it not happen sooner? Was it all for nothing? How do you make CInder's redemption arc harder? You need to place limits on it. You need to build someone else up for it who has the most intense challenge to overcome (which, in part, already started happening at Haven).

But if you wanted a Knightfall post, you would have asked, and you can go through my Knightfall tag if you so desire. Irrespective of whether or not you believe Knightfall to be narratively appropriate, Cinder's redemption arc represents her healing. These ideas are metaphorical. If her condemnation to villainy is her embracing pain and enacting her broken worldview, her redemption arc is the perfect inverse. Healing. Leaving the world a better place for people like her, not accepting that it's inevitable.

Using the Fall Maiden power in a way no one could ever have imagined. For good.

Hello! I just wanted to add a few more facts about me, however this one is going to be on the more romantic side. I might use this information if I ever gain the confidence to make let alone share self-inserts of mine. I also will use this as a way of clarifying a few things from the last post. I hope you enjoy and have a good rest of your day/night!

-I’m not prone to falling head over heels, and most of the time I will only fall for people I’ve formed close relationships with. That’s literally the definition of Demiromantic. Even as a little kid, I was never really too fond of the ``Love at first sight” trope like with a lot of fairy tales. However, that doesn’t mean I’m incapable of doing so, and I have in the past. Fictional or not, I will sometimes fall head over heels for people, sometimes I won’t. Sometimes I have to form close bonds with them first in order to have some form of romantic feelings towards them. And that’s perfectly fine and valid, to anyone who is Demisexual or Demiromantic, you are valid and are welcomed here on my blog.

-My favorite types of affection are physical affection and gift giving. Actions speak louder than words. Not trying to dis anyone whose favorite form of affection is anything verbal. I’m HELLA cuddly and physically affectionate. I also really enjoy PDA, with my favorite form of PDA being hand holding. I also have really bad crow brain, meaning that anything I think my partner would like or is something that I find interesting, it is now theirs. It is my offering to my partner whom I see as a deity.

-I actually tend to use more sweet and fluffy pet names, though playful banter is fine with me as well. Pet names such as; Sweetheart, sweet, hun, bunny, darling, dear and love especially. I’m a sucker for pet names like that, and if my partner were to use said pet names on me, I would melt into a flustered puddle. It also gets me in a very snuggly mood so sweet and fluffy pet names with heaps of physical affection. Perfect combo.

-I’m also very small, so a partner that’s taller than me is almost always a positive. Sure there’s probably going to be endless teasing, but that means I’ll be able to be lifted up from the ground if they ever wanted to hug or kiss me if they didn’t want to just crouch down all the time. I certainly wouldn’t, plus I don’t want to have to stand on a chair or stepping stool just so I can smother them in affection, it’s inconvenient on many levels. But if they're sitting or laying down, hehehe…there’s no turning back for them now/j

-If I ever was feeling dysphoric, I would love it if my partner just held me close and reassured me. I’d probably zone out on multiple occasions because I’m too busy listening to their heartbeat but when I snap back to reality, I get to hear their comforting voice so bonus.

-I’m very anxious, and I have a hard time asking for things. And if I ever were in an anxious or overwhelming situation, I tend to shut down verbally. The best way to ask for what I may need is to ask me yes or no questions so then I don’t have to talk, I can just nod or shake my head. Forcing me to talk is only going to make it worse. This can work online too, like if I start to become less and less responsive to your conversation, you can just ask me yes or no questions for me to answer, rather than just forcing me to tell you what’s going on upstairs when my brain is doing the electric boogaloo.

-Fun funny ADHD things. I love ranting about shit that I’m hyper fixating on to my buddies, and I love it when people rant to me so then we can both rant about it! It’s interesting to hear about what other people find intriguing, especially if it’s something that I don’t hyper fixate on often or hardly know anything about.

I’ve been asked about suggesting a Batman reading guide for comic beginners a lot, and I’ve answered the same question equally much, but for whatever reason I never got to make a definite reading list despite logic dictating it’d save me a lot of time instead of having to type the same things over and over and over again. So this is me, halting my procrastination long enough to provide a reading guide to the Batman world according to how I feel will make your reading experience the most enjoyable and less confusing. If you know of a better and more comprehensive guide out there, or if you simply don’t agree with what I’m about to lay out, then by all means you’re welcome to try something else. As of 2016, I’ve gotten a lot of new readers into Batman comics who’ve assured me they managed to get completely immersed into the dark onion’s world, so I must be doing something right (yet everyone’s different, so do you if this isn’t your cup of tea).

You’ll also notice that, unlike my usual blogging style, I’m using proper sentence structure. Damn, I’m so professional. Let’s do this.

So here you are, eager to finally learn about Batman because you’ve noticed he’s been going around more and more lately. Or maybe you’ve had this in the back of your mind for some time but only now decided to do something about it. What’s so fascinating about a dude dressing up in dark tights and bashing people’s faces in?, you wonder and I’m here to tell you: a lot of things. But I’m not going to explain any of it because it’s part of the magic of reading comics, which we should get to right about now.

There are two ways you can get into comics. One is the older way, the other one is better to ease you in but a lot of people don’t agree with. Choose whichever sounds better for you, since sooner or later, you’ll end up getting accustomed to both.

Way #1

Pre-flashpoint. That’s every comic released before 2011 (2011 was the year DC rebooted but we’ll get to that in a bit). This can be a pain in the ass but it’s a necessary pain in the ass. Batman has a history that goes back 7 decades. That’s 70 years. I don’t know if you realize but that equals an average person’s lifetime. That person is old now. That person has lived through a lot. Not counting every single issue or title out there, that’s at least 700 Batman comics (anywhere from seven to eight thousand issues under every title, as a matter of fact) which is, indeed, a whole bunch. I nearly had a heart attack when I very first got into DC comics because there’s a certain etiquette when it comes to procrastinating from real life. If that entails reading an estimate of at the very least 18000 pages, things get complicated. I’d rather deal with my feelings-repression and general problems avoidance, Susan.

“I’m not going to read all that lmao”, you laugh nervously just like I once did, and you’re right. You don’t have to read all that. It’d be a crime upon this sacred earth to read all that. Some of it is bad (I mean… really bad) and unnecessary to understanding Batman. That means a reading list that weeds out all the bad, rotten, oh-god-why eggs is in order.

Let me make one thing clear: this is not the full Batman list. This does not include all the important events to fully know Batman’s entire timeline. It does not touch up on every important character. But it’s more than enough if you want to get to know him and his family. The thing you need to understand about DC comics is that every comic you read will lead you somewhere else. You see the above list and it’s more than enough to keep you busy for a while but each of these bullet points will lead to something else, and that something else leads to something else and before you know it, you’ve read a lot of Batman comics and you know more about the Waynes than your own self. Look in the mirror. Who’s staring back?

Once you’ve read all the above and you feel like reading even more, you can either visit this very neat site that lists every Batman comic that has, in small or big ways, played a part in shaping the Batman mythos (it’s in chronological order too!!), and/or you can go ahead and read the New 52.

You know, I’m just really glad you asked. Because that leads us to…

Way #2

So let’s say you don’t wanna go with Way #1. You probably should because you’ll be forced to read all those comics at some point, but let’s say you’re a rebel. Let’s say you want to live on the edge. In 2011 DC decided it was time to make their comics more accessible to new readers. They thought it’d be a really neat idea to reboot their entire universe and start every hero from #0 and build on that, so new readers could follow along the stories and character developments without having to dig through years and years of timelines that easily confused long-time readers too.

Great idea. Did it work? No. No, it did not goddamn work.

Even though some heroes did get a clean slate, others (Green Lantern and Batman more notably) simply continued their pre-flashpoint history but crammed all those years (i.e all those bullet points and much, much more) into 5 years. Five. Five. Instead of new readers finally getting a chance not to be confused, now we have everyone confused. I was confused. I’m still confused about certain stuff.

“Okay… that means that once I start reading the New 52 Batman comics with no prior knowledge of the pre-flashpoint Batman comics, I’ll inevitably have to read the pre-flashpoint Batman comics because the New 52 Batman comics will make references to the pre-flashpoint Batman comics.”

Yeah. Yeah.

“You lied to me about Way #2 being easier.”

I know. I just realized it. I’m sorry.

Here’s the list of every New 52 title, with notations of whether it’s ongoing, finished, or discontinued. You don’t really need a N52 reading list for Batman because every most Batman titles are only 52 issues and that’s not a lot in contrast to 70 years. I greatly suggest you read most, if not all of them, and definitely don’t miss the main Batman title (Scott Snyder) because it added a lot of new good things over the last five years. It’s given us one of the freshest characterizations of Bruce Wayne to date. If you really don’t want to touch on any of it, read wiki summaries, but you’ll be missing out on some killer art.

Just read New 52’s entire Batman run (by Scott Snyder) and follow each crossover event you’re interested in as you go along (the issues will notify you when something like that happens). If you want to actively follow Batman’s world from now on, it’s imperative you follow Snyder’s run because it added very important aspects to Bruce Wayne’s character and duality. Plus, it’s a kickass read. With breathtaking art. Just do it. You probably went through indecipherable handwriting in Batman: Year One, this is a f**** breeze.

So, are we done? No. There’s also Rebirth.

“What’s Rebirth?”

Basically it’s a continuation of the New 52 (started in 2016 and will end when DC decides to reboot again) but with many things getting fixed. New 52 screwed a lot of stuff (characters, timelines, our sanity and wallets) and Rebirth is an attempt at making things better again. It continues and builds on the New 52 as a whole, so if you don’t understand certain references because you haven’t read the New 52, just look them up online. Or ask me. Or pretend you understand. I do that a lot.

That’s it. I’m sure I’ve forgotten some stuff but it’s a start. The most important thing is to remember to take it slow and have fun. Comics can be insanely rewarding if the circumstances are right, so I hope you’ll take a step into our weird hell of panels and speech bubbles.

(You can also make justifiable fun of the characters so like… extra bonus.)
