How did you come to the conclusion that Cinder doesn't like to be touched? I did not notice this at all. Does this mean that Cinder actually fears being close to people?
Watch her scenes and simply pay attention and draw your own conclusions.
Two off the top of my head, Watts touches her and she burns him, another is Emerald taking the Grimm hand ('Shadow Hand') and she recoils from the touch.
Given the fact that she's been tortured onscreen, she probably has a complicated relationship to physical touch in general. Rhodes pats her on the head when he dies, too, so there's not a great association there.
Cinder fears being close to people, yes. I think this is an inherent wound to the character. She doesn't let anybody in. The question is, of course, what character is able to overcome these narrative obstacles.

I really hope they don’t kill Will my tiny gay son (also I’m hoping they won’t just cos of the issue of writers getting a lot of flack for the bury your gays trope)
I just personally the show needs to grow a pair and kill off a character that really means something as opposed to somebody we barely know beyond “oh that’s kinda sad, anyway”. It’s the same issue I had with the battle of winterfell episode of game of thrones, the plot armour of all the main characters was so thick during that episode that in the end when nobody of real consequence died it was very underwhelming for me. Like, ST is a great show but I don’t often feel like the main characters are ever really in that much danger of dying so I’m not sure the sense of stakes is there.
For Will specifically, it’d be sad and I agree the whole gay thing would be a big issue but I do think if it happened it would probably be one of the most impactful in terms of how many characters it’d affect, and it would be a full circle arc for his character even if a sad one. Basically I just want a main to die in volume 2, Vecna is objectively scary yet I don’t ever feel like the characters are in danger from him

does a vpn really make you anonymouse
VPN encryption effectiveness
VPN encryption plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and privacy of online activities. The effectiveness of VPN encryption is determined by the strength of the encryption algorithms used to secure data transmissions between a user's device and the VPN server.
Most reputable VPN services utilize advanced encryption protocols such as AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with 256-bit keys, which is considered virtually unbreakable by brute-force attacks. This level of encryption ensures that any data passing through the VPN tunnel remains secure and protected from potential eavesdroppers or hackers.
By encrypting data packets as they travel between the user's device and the VPN server, VPN encryption helps to safeguard sensitive information such as passwords, financial details, and personal communications from prying eyes. This is especially important when using public Wi-Fi networks or accessing geo-restricted content, as it adds an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorized access to your data.
In addition to data encryption, VPN services also offer features such as tunneling protocols, kill switches, and DNS leak protection to further enhance security and privacy. These tools work together to create a secure and anonymous browsing experience, shielding users from potential online threats and surveillance.
In conclusion, VPN encryption is highly effective in protecting user data and ensuring online privacy. By using industry-standard encryption protocols and security features, VPN services help users maintain confidentiality and security while browsing the internet or accessing online services.
Anonymity level with VPN
When it comes to online security and privacy, understanding the anonymity level provided by a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is crucial. VPNs are designed to encrypt your internet connection and route it through a secure server, effectively masking your IP address and providing a layer of anonymity. However, not all VPNs offer the same level of anonymity, and it's essential to choose one that meets your specific needs.
The anonymity level provided by a VPN depends on several factors, including the logging policy, encryption strength, and server locations. VPNs that maintain strict no-logs policies ensure that they do not store any information about your online activities, thus enhancing your anonymity. Additionally, VPNs with robust encryption protocols, such as AES-256, provide a higher level of security, making it more difficult for third parties to intercept and decipher your data.
Moreover, the geographical location of VPN servers also plays a significant role in anonymity. Opting for a VPN with servers in multiple countries allows you to mask your true location effectively, making it challenging for websites and online services to track your whereabouts.
However, it's important to note that no VPN can offer complete anonymity. While they can significantly enhance your privacy and security online, VPNs are not foolproof and may still be susceptible to certain vulnerabilities. Therefore, it's essential to use additional measures, such as secure browsing practices and regularly updating your software, to further bolster your online anonymity.
In conclusion, VPNs can provide a considerable level of anonymity by encrypting your internet connection and masking your IP address. By choosing a VPN with a strict no-logs policy, strong encryption, and servers in multiple locations, you can enhance your online privacy and security significantly. However, it's essential to remember that no VPN can offer complete anonymity, and it's crucial to remain vigilant and proactive in protecting your online identity.
IP address masking by VPN
IP address masking by VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a method used to enhance online privacy and security for internet users. A VPN creates a secure and encrypted connection to another network over the internet, thus allowing users to mask their IP address and browse the web anonymously. By using a VPN, internet users can protect their online activities from being tracked by hackers, government agencies, internet service providers, and other third parties.
One of the primary benefits of IP address masking by VPN is the ability to access geo-restricted content. Many streaming services, websites, and online platforms restrict access based on the user's location. With a VPN, users can change their IP address to appear as if they are browsing from a different country, thus bypassing geo-blocks and accessing content that may otherwise be unavailable in their region.
Moreover, IP address masking by VPN adds an extra layer of security when using public Wi-Fi networks. Public Wi-Fi hotspots are often targeted by cybercriminals seeking to intercept sensitive information such as passwords, credit card details, and personal data. By using a VPN to mask their IP address, users can encrypt their internet connection and ensure that their data remains secure even when connected to unsecured Wi-Fi networks.
In conclusion, IP address masking by VPN is a valuable tool for enhancing online privacy, security, and freedom. By encrypting internet traffic and hiding the user's IP address, VPNs enable users to browse the web anonymously, access geo-restricted content, and protect their data from malicious actors. It is essential for internet users to prioritize their online security and privacy by utilizing VPN services for a safer and more secure browsing experience.
Data logging policies of VPN providers
Data logging policies of VPN providers play a crucial role in ensuring the privacy and security of users' online activities. When choosing a VPN service, it is essential to carefully examine the data logging policies to understand what information is being recorded and how it is being used.
Some VPN providers claim to have a strict no-logging policy, meaning they do not record any data related to users' online activities. This is ideal for users who prioritize privacy and anonymity while browsing the internet. However, it is important to verify these claims by thoroughly reviewing the provider's privacy policy and terms of service.
On the other hand, some VPN providers may collect certain types of data for operational purposes or to improve their services. This may include connection logs, bandwidth usage, or session timestamps. While this data may not directly identify individual users, it is still important to be aware of what information is being recorded and how it is being handled.
Users should also consider the jurisdiction in which the VPN provider operates, as different countries have varying data retention laws. Providers based in countries with strict data retention requirements may be compelled to hand over user data to authorities upon request, compromising the privacy of users.
In conclusion, understanding the data logging policies of VPN providers is essential for making an informed decision about which service to use. By prioritizing providers with transparent and privacy-focused logging policies, users can better protect their online privacy and security.
Risks of VPN leaks
VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a powerful tool that many internet users use to protect their online privacy and security. However, despite its benefits, there are potential risks associated with VPN leaks that users should be aware of.
One of the primary risks of VPN leaks is the exposure of sensitive user data. When a VPN connection leaks, it can reveal the user's real IP address, location, and browsing history to third parties, compromising their privacy. This can lead to targeted advertising, identity theft, or even cyber attacks.
Another significant risk of VPN leaks is potential legal consequences. Some users rely on VPNs to bypass geo-restrictions and access content that is not available in their region. However, if a VPN leak exposes their true location, they may be in violation of copyright laws or other regulations, leading to legal trouble.
Furthermore, VPN leaks can also undermine the purpose of using a VPN in the first place. The primary goal of a VPN is to encrypt internet traffic and ensure secure communication. If a leak occurs, it can result in unprotected data transmission, leaving users vulnerable to surveillance and hacking attempts.
To mitigate these risks, users should choose reputable VPN providers that offer leak protection features, such as a kill switch and DNS leak protection. Regularly testing for VPN leaks using online tools can also help users identify and address any vulnerabilities in their VPN connection.
In conclusion, while VPNs are essential for maintaining online privacy and security, users should be mindful of the potential risks associated with VPN leaks. By staying informed and taking necessary precautions, users can enjoy the benefits of VPN technology without compromising their safety.

One of the earliest Goatlings users has popped up again: schnayke, who has easily accessible ties to Krisgoat. He was/is her IRL partner and is likely the anonymous coder. profile/u/78, in case he changes his username.
After years of inactivity, he appears out of the blue with lots of high value items to trade off for Pokefarm and Chickensmoothie. These are the various trades he’s slowly been putting up over the course of the past two days. Not pictured: a Luck Dragonling AD.

As of writing this (GoatTime 06:19:03 am), here are his most recent trades up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here are pictures from his Instagram, under the same username as his Goatlings username. Note the similarities to the Anonymouse item.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is proof of his ties to Krisgoat, also accessible through Krisgoat’s tagged pictures on her Instagram.
Tumblr media
This post is on a forum for Backyard Chickens, called backyardchickens. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/baby-chicks-staying-small.730954/page-2 Krisgoat identifies herself as his partner. WARNING: Animal death from natural causes mentioned.
Tumblr media
Is it 100% confirmed that he is spawning items into his Goatlings account to cross-trade? No, but it is possible. His forum post lists 26M SS for trade, but I have seen reports of him offering much higher amounts to other users in private, which makes one wonder if he is spawning Sugar Stars, and why he is suddenly getting rid of everything on Goatlings?

As a preface I just wanted to say that I'm really glad I stumbled on this page; I had dropped RWBY but your analysis and Skimming Eye (which is incredible btw) pulled me back in. I'm curious as to your interpretation of the Paper Pleasers and Jaune (aside from the dad angle, which is kinda fun to think about). I personally saw it as a setup for Jaune's Ascension, allowing him to regain purpose after being disillusioned and return to youth (hopefully with the hair). Thank you for your time.
Yay, enrichment in my containment. Thank you anon. That's very kind of you to say, and thank you for reading my fanfic.
I admit to being delighted it made you watch RWBY again, though I take no responsibility for the emotional damages. tee hee
I don't commit to any premature conclusions; there are a few ways they could play it yet. The idea of rebirth (which Jaune currently rejects) is significant. The set-up right now is that Jaune is old and disillusioned and has lost his life; he's given himself to waiting.
Would you marry a literal rebirth (magical transformation) with a symbolic transformation? Yes, and most prominently - I may be repeating myself here - this is the set-up for other characters in the story (Cinder, Oscar) who will go through the same thing. What happens to him will tell us what to expect with them. Even Penny has already given us the foreshadowing of what may happen to Ozma.
They've set the stage-and-scene, so it's just a matter of following through. Once you consider the evidence (king reborn as a prince) and how that can be followed on through, it does make one wonder. The problem is that the prince doesn't remember his life as the king, but I doubt that will be the case in Jaune's context (and separately in Oscar's, he similarly has 'too much life'). I think the threat he might forget is just to give more narrative weight to whatever twist eventuates.
You might see under my Jaune tag that I've written about rebirth as a theme in his character arc and the connected autumnal imagery, and I still think this is significant with him. So right now, with what they committed to this episode, a depressing resolution is off the cards. I would tentatively assert that. It's not fair he's been alone, it's not fair he's been left in Ever After, we know martyrdom has been rejected with him, right now he's terrified of rebirth and change and confronting who he really is, so that is the organic direction to take him. It's just how that's in question, so then you need to start asking practical questions.
Of course, as I remarked briefly in an errant post, if it's as simple as a magical fruit that makes him old, it may not be all that complicated. The psychological journey is the hard part. Practically whatever form it eventuates will convey the ideas we need.
Right now Jaune and Ruby are most closely going through separate awakenings to spiritual aridity. So his transformation is probably going to happen in respect to hers. That's at least how I would tie it, and how it's been tied so far. What does that tell us about the things they'll have to do, and the ideological evolution of them both? I really think it's an exciting direction to take them, especially depending on future narrative developments. What heroes do they want to be? What do they have to confront to understand themselves, and the people around them? How do they accept the pain of being truly alive?
I agree: hopefully with the hair. I think that if they did keep that, honestly, it would visually represent a merging of him then and now. No exaggeration, when they revealed his new hair back during V7 I was like, oh okay they've abandoned Jaune because this makes him look like a joke, and I don't know if this happens to be a course correction in response to that, but it is conceptually interesting. It's possible to twist that into something meaningful, anyway, if I were writing by the seat of my pants.
My summary of how much has changed regarding his character this episode: really I think this has struck the possibility he won't be saved off the books, and a physical transformation to represent a symbolic idea is clever. Then you get the interesting interplay of an older character who's also young, which is like Oscar, with an experience which has alienated but also empowered him. Suffice it to say, it sets up a lot narratively. Who else has been alone, tormented, and isolated for that long?

A lot of ppl dont particularly like the second proposal, writing wise. Do you feel the same way as well? Did you expect more from it?
Call @memorieswarm out!
I get what the criticisms are, people wanted more from Aaron, as most of what was said was regarding Robert's feelings and journey etc (I think that's Clo's criticism at least, I know it's other people's).
For me and my tastes though it was perfect. I think.... because of who Robert is and his history and just the type of character he is, it tends to be that he needs to be more expressive, from a storytelling pov. And character wise he just is the more expressive of the two, all things being equal. So for me it made sense objectively and subjectively it just gives me Massive Feelings whenever he talks about his journey over the past couple of years and him coming to terms with himself and just the couple of major upheavals that he experienced (Aaron/coming out, and Seb). I dunno. I just love the whole thing, I love whenever the show has him hammer home that Aaron is literally it for him.
And for me Robert having the lions share of the voicing his feelings during the actual proposal takes nothing away from Aaron wanting the perfect proposal and being all giddy with Liv and Seb, it was like the icing on a period of Aaron content that I absolutely love. But I think because we saw the whole of Aaron's coming out and coming to terms and all that back in the day in a lot of detail, I like that The Robert Sugden got to lay out his love for a man like he did.

AU where Ladybug, Cat and Butterfly are a triad (part I).
Remember that post I did time ago with the idea of having ladybug, cat and butterfly be a triad? Well, @anonymouse-thoughts (thank you so much) gave me the idea of searching for the Three Pure Ones, three religious figures that hold great importance in Taoism. I'll loosely inspire on them, to keep the Chinese religious theme of the box.
So, instead of the creation-destruction, we get the creation-transformation-destruction. This explains why both Ladybug and Chat Noir had to be awakened instead of just having Ladybug and a Five or Ladybug and a Zodiac. As they're a balanced trio, at least two are needed to "defeat" the third.
Tikki created the universe and Plagg. Plagg destructed things and with it, started transformation, thus originating Nooroo. Nooroo then balanced the universe with the cycle of creation and transformation.
The first time Plagg destructed something Tikki had created, that's when Nooroo came to existence. And he is equal to the other two because of the balance needed to hold a creation-destruction process.
So, basically, these are their powers: Tikki can create, Plagg can destroy and Nooroo gets to do everything in between. Instead of Transmission, he gets Transformation. How does this translate to a hero power?
The Butterfly can take something already created and transform it into something better, evolved (but not something worse, because the cycle goes creation-transformation-destruction, and it cannot be altered; thus Nooroo can only evolve in this state where there's only been creation involved). So, the Butterfly can take a person and enhace their best quality/characteristic (think Riposte or Mime). This could be called Chrysalis or Metamorphosis. User does this by touching the person with their cane (cane stays as weapon, btw), but it can be transferred into objects (ie Hawk Moth with akumas). This means the user does not have the power to decide what its Champion will become and it depends entirely on the individual. Oh, and the Butterfly here does not have any emotion-related powers; either the user is a natural empath or they eventually learn how to read emotions not to mess up. Because, obviously, emotions can mess up the process of creating the Champion.
The Champion has to consent to be transformed. This is a limitation of the Miraculous put by Nooroo himself. This is why Hawk Moth targets negative emotions and then persuades people. Naturally, a good Butterfly would target good emotions and totally willing people.
For the timer-limited ability: the Champion can only appear for five minutes.
Oh and in this AU, there's no controlling the Champion or communicating with them. The only thing that the user can do is transforming them back (thus finalizing the cycle, not by destroying them, as he can't, but by lessening their power). I want this because Nooroo having emotion, communication and manipulation powers messed up quite a little with the "everyone has one concept" thematic. Transformation is already a BIG concept, so I think it can stay like this. This makes it so the Butterfly can be a more battle-active Miraculous, too. They would need to be with their Champion to communicate.
This Miraculous is one of the most dangerous, along with the Cat (see whatever Plagg did with the dinosaurs) and the Ladybug (it isn't all obvious at first; but creating the thing you need while having a luck boost is dangerous if you're selfish). This why they're the three most powerful ones. Example: illusions or protection can have their evil tweaks, but they're in no way close to these three (oh and yes, I'm totally changing most of the Zodiacs).
So, to sum up: Butterfly can transform one person for five minutes into an evolved version of their best ability, and this can depend on said person's emotions. They don't have emotion sensing nor mental communication, the only thing they can do is detransforming the person.
Oh and Miraculouses cannot be transformed as they're magical devices beyond creation or destruction (in this AU, they're directly connected to the Kwamis, not just a portal to the human world). They can be imitated, but the Butterfly can't make a complete imitation (so, yeah, in this AU either Volpina would've been weaker or Rena stronger, even when limited).
Finally, this would mean that there's a new Miraculous where the canon!Butterfly used to be. Well, yes! But I'm still thinking about it. I thought of either frogs or some fish, because we don't have amphibuans nor fish represented. When I figure this out I'll post a second part.
Oh and random thing: in this AU Plagg is non-binary coded. Plagg's my fave Kwami and I'm non-binary, and I didn't want to code the triad as as two masc and one fem or viceversa. So they (yes, they) would be neutral coded, either an apora or plain neutral. Idk I just though of it and really liked enby!Plagg.
