Niklaus leans forward greedily. “Where is it pointing to?”
Chip stays silent.
“Let me rephrase myself,” says Niklaus. “Who is it pointing to?”

“Put her down”
Platonic lost boys x young reader
A young girl ran through the cave as her screams echoed. This was typical for the boys, finding a young tourist to torment and torture until they had enough and decided to drain her, but this girl was tricky.
She had escaped the sadistic marko and the deceptive Dwayne and ran through the cave in a desperate attempt to find an exit. She knew the boys were hot on her trail and If she played this right, she might escape with her life and her body in tact.
But then she saw you.
The boys had put you in a hidden room in the cave, far away from where they would lead away their prey. You were given toys and a makeshift playpen to keep you from getting bored and injuring yourself.
You were tiny, only around 2 years old at that time. The girl felt sick to her stomach, were they going to eat you too?
The girl heard giggling from somewhere close by and decided right then and there she was getting out of here, and you would be coming with her. She couldn’t leave an innocent child to the fate of being eaten or worse. Who knew, they could be perverts who liked little girls. She couldn’t be too careful.
She scooped you up in her arms and you giggled, thinking it must have been star or one of your fathers. The girl cooed at you for a few seconds before holding you to her chest and taking of running.
The boys were close and the girl needed to think quickly to get the two of you out of the situation. She dived and swerved around the caves many doors and entry ways when she heard the sound of the ocean hitting the shore. She knew she had found an exit, a sigh of relief fell from her lips.
That relief only lasted seconds as the second she decided to take off running for the exit, you began to cry. You were sick of the roughhousing and running, you just wanted to go back to your dolls.
The cry quickly alerted the boys of not only your whereabouts but also the girls. You were in danger. The boys rushed to the entrance of the cave to find the girl holding you tightly to her chest while her hand covered your mouth.
“Whatcha doing sweet cheeks?” David asks through gritted teeth at the thought of his prey with her hands tightly holding his baby. “Why don’t you hand me the baby and maybe you can escape”
“No fucking way” she spits out as holds you in a painfully tight way as you cry out, Dwayne hisses at the reaction of his young being hurt “I don’t know what you sick fucks are going to do to her, you Fucking perverts could be molesting this girl for all I know”
“We would never touch her” marko hisses out, offended at the accusations “give us out daughter”
The girl looks shocked and then looks down at your crying face as you wailed at the recognition that this was not your mother. She starts to cry and laugh hysterically.
“She’s one of you?” She looks at it one more time before holding you near the edge of the cliff “if she’s your kind, I might as well spare humanity and kill her right now”
“Put her down you fucking bitch” David hisses out protectively as he moves forward to grab you from the crazy woman’s arms “put her down or we will spend hours torturing you until all you can think about it’s pain”
The girl fearfully gulps as you make a grabbing motion at David. He goes to grab you but the woman moves away from him again, closer to the edge.
“If I’m gonna die, I’ll take her with me” sh states as she goes to step off the cliff into the waves below.
Dwayne is able to use David as a distraction as he moves quickly to grab you from the woman’s body. Her eyes shoot open and look at him before he holds you to his chest and pushes her off the cliff. When the woman had dropped down, Dwayne looked below and saw the woman impaled through the Stomach on the sharp stones. She was still breathing so she was able to feel every painful sensation of her death.
Dwayne coos and shushes your cries to comfort you as you grip your hands in his hair and gently pull like you usually would.
“From now on, when we have prey over we have someone watch her” David orders “am I clear?”
All of the boys nodded in agreement. David went to take you from Dwayne arms but the boy simply hisses possessively as his vampiric instincts kicked in. This triggered David’s vampiric face to appear as he hissed and asserted dominance while Dwayne cowered.
Once you were in David’s arms, he felt all of his fear wash away as you showed him you gummy smile. He held you close and rubbed your back soothingly.
“It’s okay daddy’s here” he whispered softly “your safe now”
The boys often wondered where this version of David went as you grew older. All David knew was that his love may be conditional but he’d always need you around. I’d you left he would rip through Santa Carla like a hungry shark in deep waters and wouldn’t stop until you could drown in the blood of the towns people. You were his daughter.
Maybe it was David’s personality or his vampiric instincts, but he knew that if the boys and him couldn’t have you as their daughter, than you would simply not be in this earth any more. It was them or death

Fics I Read This Week (11/26-12/2)
Secrets and Lavender
5+1 fic. Klance established relationship, 5 times Lance is jealous of people flirting with Keith and want to punch them, and one time he actually does punch someone flirting with Keith.
Short and sweet, very good.
Audience of one
Explores the concept of Keith having more galra traits and being raised as a galra soldier. He and Lance meet after Lance is kidnapped by the galra and gets him through alive.
I really enjoyed this, the character development for Keith was just sooooo good and when there were action scenes they were super good to read.
Free to breathe
Sequel to audience of one, focuses a lot on Lances recovery after being imprisoned and how the team comes to terms with Keith being around, not super action packed.
My favorite part of this was definitely the hurt/comfort elements of Keith and Lances relationship and touches on the really important stuff when it comes to being in love with your captor and the member of an institution you’ve been fighting for the greater good. The team’s development, especially Alluras, is also a great part of this story and very well written.
Smile for the stars
ANGST ANGST ANGST
Keith and Lance get stranded on a desert planet after winning the galra war, they have to come to terms with being alone together and their feelings for each other while dealing with the hardships of survival.
Without giving to much away (Major Character Death is tagged) I loved the development of Keith and lances relationship both while there is and isn’t much conflict. The concept of grief is also handled well and even though it was devastating to read I couldnt help but find it a little beautiful.

this is a story that actually happened to me, but thinking of the boys reacting to this makes me laugh so much dvsjdbdj
when i was around 5-6 i went camping with my parents, one of them was carrying boiling water near me, tripped on a branch, and spilled the hot water on me
i got thrown into a cooler filled with ice so i wouldn’t get hurt 😀
it’s the funniest thing ever to me, cause just imagine a vampire chucking a child gently into a cooler like 🧍🏻🧍🏻

It was a quiet day in the cave, suspiciously quiet. Paul decided he needed to fix this so he found his usual partner in crime, marko. Marko was currently having his day with you and Paul thought this added to the fun.
So Paul scooped your six year old self up and took marko to the bonfire pit that had recently killed a family of hunters at only two hours prior.
“Do you like the fire baby?” Marko cooed at you while you enjoyed the heat of the fire near your skin. You nodded back to him and squealed as Paul picked you up roughly.
“Are little arsonist” Paul teased as he stuck his tongue out and gave you an affectionate peck on the nose as you smiled and yanked his hair in playful revenge. Paul mocked hurt and almost dropped you.
“Not so rough Paul” Marko snapped similarly to a mother hen as he fussed over you while Paul spotted something, but put you in markos arms gently and went to explore while you and marko danced around.
“Check it out marko” Paul said as he emerged from the other side of the fire pit with a pot that had steam coming out of it, Paul’s hands burnt by holding it but it quickly healed because of his vampiric powers “looks like the hunters had some back bone”
“What is it?” Marko questioned as he put you down and walked closer to Paul
“Seems like holy water” Paul said freakishly nonchalantly “the steam burns a bit”
Marko stops in his track and looks at Paul with a shocked face.
“Put that down!” Marko demands as he backs away from Paul in fear
“Aww what’s the matter marko?” Paul teased as he walked closer “scared?”
“Paul get away” Marko yelled as his eyes dart around to find an exit “that shit could kill us!”
“I’m hurt that you don’t trust me” Paul faked being hurt by markos distrust as he got closers “it’s not like I’ll drop it”
Paul thrusts the pot upwards and fakes dropping it causing marko to flinch and scramble to get away but Paul only got closer with the hot liquid.
“Just an accident babe” Paul smirks at markos fear, not taking the situation seriously. So much so that he didn’t notice you walking closer from behind marko.
Paul goes to fake another drop but in doing so he actually does drop it. This caused marko to run and you to freeze as some of the water splashed from the ground and hit your exposed shoulder and collar bone.
You let out a high pitched wail as the boiling water hit your exposed skin. Tears built up and fell down your cheeks as it felt like you had just been lit ablaze.
Marko was still in shock and fear over the holy water nearly going on him and couldn’t snap out of it to help. Surprisingly Paul was the one to go into protective dad mode, not in a smart way though.
Paul grabbed you and brought you to his chest quickly, the holy water remnants burning his Paul’s as he hissed in pain but your cries of agony distracted him enough to help you first.
He spotted a large water cooler and thought on his feet as he dropped you gently into it thinking the cold would stop the boiling water from hurting you.
You let out a cry at the change of temperature and sensations and that seemed to snap Marko out of his fearful trance as he sprung up an ran to you as your cries grew louder.
“Get David” Paul yelled at marko as he tried to keep you from getting out of the cooler as you fought pathetically against his hold.
Marko ran to get David while your cries grew louder and alerted Dwayne who always stayed close by wherever you went, he took of running to get to you.
“I know it hurts baby I’m sorry” Paul said trying to comfort you as your whimpers of pain quietened slightly. Your cries were physically hurting Paul as his heart broke slightly at the thought of him hurting his daughter. David was gonna kill him.
David, Marko and Dwayne arrived at the fire pit and froze at the sight of your burnt arm as the smell of burning flesh surrounded them.
They rushed you back to the cave where they gave you some medical treatment for your burn with the help of star who was mortified at the situation.
After your burn was dealt with they noticed that you had a fever, probably from being held down in a ice cold water.
You had to spend a week in recovery for your fever and burn while the boys looked after you and catered to your every need.
After Marko explained what happened he was punished slightly for not being able to help quicker and he was only given a warning and was told to look after you. Paul however received a harsh beating and was starved of blood for the same amount of time you had to recover for. By the end of the week Paul was released from the dark room he had been kept in and was sickly pale and only felt better after drinking a local woman’s blood.
You surprising got out of it pretty unscathed with only a small burn mark on your shoulder that could be disguised as a birth mark if anyone ever saw it.
David banned Paul from seeing you for a week and had told him that if he ever got you hurt again that he would starve Paul to point of death and then only feed him pigeons blood for a month.
He couldn’t have his prodigy child getting killed now could he?

My late night fic escapades have brought me to get another poetic piece of art.
Klance angel AU, Keith is Lances guardian angel, romantic hijinks ensue.
The writing was consistently good and the depiction of the characters and scenes were JUST SO GOOD. And the story itself genuinely kept me on my toes, I would think I knew what would happen next but NOPE another thing happens!
It’s also just incredibly sappy which is my favorite thing in a klance fic.
