the biggest plot twist in saltburn was actually when oliver was lying on the grave and he started taking off his shirt and i was like "oh god he's going to take off his pants isn't he" and then he only took off his shirt and i was like "oh phew" and then as soon as i relaxed he actually took off his pants. true emotional roller coaster right there.

ok, since everyone is hopping on the good omens ineffable sex scene discourse…
it seems like everyone is divided between To Sex or Not To Sex, but we’re only thinking of it as the sex we know, but we need to consider the possibility of their occult/ethereal sex being beyond horny human comprehension.
imagine, aziraphale brings crowley up to the barely used bedroom. cobwebs. dust on the rococo eiderdown duvet puffs into the air when they sit on top of it. they stare at each other with heated gazes before they bring their foreheads together and their eyes go blank. cut to the fourth dimension where their essences/platonic forms play an intergalactic match of Pong. there are sounds of crashing waves somewhere, and the great ticking of grandfather clocks. nebulae implode, and a piece of toast finally pops up, burnt to perfection. it’s over.
then we go back to crowley and aziraphale. they’re still touching foreheads, fully clothed, like nothing ever happened. well, aziraphale looks fine. crowley’s head is blackened with ash (he lost).

ok I’m sure my asexuality is Leaping out of me here but. Congratulations to lisa frankenstein for being the first movie with a sex scene that had me fully comfortable AND rooting for the characters. idk I feel like most sex scenes are born of the conception that it’s just the “natural progression of relationships.” or as attention grabbers. but it represented more than sexual attraction for lisa and the creature. it had narrative weight. it was an act of radical self-acceptance — the decision to embrace their otherness in a world that shunned them for it. not to mention of course I’m a sucker for the stylized animation.

#them calling this movie jonsa fan service is sooo funny because it wasn't the biggest ship in the show (that was braime) or even a recognized jon ship by the gp! it's literally because sophie and kit wanted to work together again because they LIKED working together 🤷🏽‍♀️

¿¿¿ARE YOU READY JONSAS???
So, according to some reports, Kit and Sophie movie The Dreadful is a remake of the classic Japanese horror movie ONIBABA
Tumblr media
Here some synopsis:
IMDB: Two women kill samurai and sell their belongings for a living. While one of them is having an affair with their neighbor, the other woman meets a mysterious samurai wearing a bizarre mask. Filmaffinity: After enlisting as a volunteer in a war in 14th century Japan, his wife and mother remain living in a swamp. They eke out their living by ambushing worn-out warriors, killing them and selling their belongings to a greedy merchant. The woman comes to mistrust her daughter-in-law who has coupled up with a deserter, and begins to wear a facial mask she has taken from a slain samurai. Soon the mask will not come off again. In this disguise she is at first taken for a demon by her daughter. Wikipedia: The film is set during a civil war in medieval Japan. Nobuko Otowa and Jitsuko Yoshimura play two women who kill infighting soldiers to steal their armor and possessions for survival, while Kei Satō plays the man who ultimately comes between them.
If you read the full PLOT on Wikipedia, you will find that the movie is full of sex scenes.
ONIBABA was translated to Spanish as: "ONIBABA: The Myth of Sex"
Here some scenes from the trailer:

Sex-replusion is going to exist weather there is a purity culture or not.
Maybe the solution here is to acknowledge yes sex scenes can be in some movies but don't need to be in EVERY movie to have it be a movie geared towards adults???
Stop moralizing sex scenes as "good" and forcing them onto people by putting them in EVERY movie, and maybe other people shall stop moralizing them as "bad" and trying to force you to take them out of movies.
Like, the unfortunate thing here is the assholes pushing purity culture have an actual point in this case, but they're stating it to the incorrect end/motive here.
Also, people calling themselves "prudes" as a reclamation because none of you want to admit sex repulsion is also queer is kind of on you, not the people calling themselves prudes. That isn't a purity culture issue, that's a "I am either asexual, sex-repulsed, or possibly both but do not know it/am not accepted by the queer community in general and am SCARED of you," thing.

Frederick Wentworth and Anne Elliot are actually way more insane than we give them credit for. Frederick was *this* close to pulling off an Anthony Bridgerton just because he read too many angsty wattpad stories out in the middle of the pacific ocean after running away from the country to get far from Anne? He wanted her jealous? He wanted to see if she cared? He thought her so changed because [There had been a time, when of all the large party now filling the drawing-room at Uppercross, they would have found it most difficult to cease to speak to one another.]?? He heard that she decided to stay and care for little Charles and realised–Fuck, she hasn’t changed at all, she’s still that kind, warm, compassionate Anne?? They hardly speak throughout the book? He resorts to talking about how he nearly died on his quest to Get Away From Anne just to make her feel scared for him??

thinking about pete's exact age again and whats implied by these panels
Frankenstein was released November 21, 1931. The first noir volume takes place January 1933. It's been a generous 14 months since he's seen this movie but with how its written here it sounds like he's talking about an instance when he was a kid. or at least... younger than however old he was just over a year ago.
Either Pete is on the younger side of his teenage years or he's very sensitive to 'horror'/disturbing scenes, or both. I'd get it if he's sensitive to that stuff cause who knows what heinous shit he's seen but damn does that make me feel really awful for him. Peter The Horrors Parker, known for being subjected to The Horrors,.. it just makes me sad
