would literally rather eat my fingers off my hand one by one than go back to my doctor tmr after the last apt im still pissed. the first apt went so well just to have that disaster follow. & i was candid abt having medical trauma, too.
im so exhausted being disabled is so tiring i don't wanna be a person tmr she lost any slight trust i had for her by fearmongering my mom abt a non-issue that has MULTIPLE reasons for happening.

genuine final post on the matter
but i also think i would only ever believe full accountability if steven lim stepped down as ceo. i dont even mean that as a manner of hating on him whatsoever. i mean that in a way of clearly the three of them just aren't suited to being ceos of the company, & thats honestly fine! not everyone is cut out to run a business, and that's nothing to be ashamed of. it's just how it is.
however, i do think that it is in their best interest to take the criticisms aimed at steven lim, as the ceo, and show they fully take them to heart by having him step down, and replaced as ceo with a person who can actually run the business properly.
i'm not saying he has to leave the company entirely. and, no matter what, the trio would always be the owners of the company, with the final say in anything that goes. but, this situation has truly proven that they shouldn't be running it on their own.
the only way that i feel like they would truly fully prove they listened to all of us is hiring a new ceo. even if they never talked about the overproduction criticisms, i feel like just getting a new ceo would be a way to silently address it and correct it. you know?
just my opinion, but,,, i do think it's a change that NEEDS to happen for them to truly prove themselves as genuine in their accountability.

im thinking abt it and i feel... mixed.
i do appreciate that the core issue was addressed and reconciled. because that is the most important part at the end of the day.
however, it concerns me that they didn't really... address the complaints about overproduction. like,, that needs to change, too. for this to fully work. for them to fully ensure this never happens again in the future.
their current way of creating content, even with what they did acknowledge, is not sustainable. nobody's gonna be mad if y'all return with significantly sliced in half quality. as many people have voiced, all anyone wanted was you. your personalities, your banter, your passion, your creativity on full shining display.
i honestly don't know if i can just simply return and give them a harrowing return party when like. personally if the production value is still absurdly blown out of proportion, it would feel like they still didn't listen, you know.
but, that's just my personal take. anyone who fully accepts the apology i get it. i'm just personally still incredibly hesitant.

they'll most likely be a channel i poke around on occasionally to see if they actually stuck to their word out of curiosity, but i can't see myself ever being able to fully trust them again after this.
if other people can, that's great. but i also don't think a simple apology should mean all is forgotten. an apology is only as genuine as the actions that follow it, & those will remain to be seen.

Not to be a vivizpop person on anon BUT she represents another big part of ‘tv quality content’ on YouTube: the indie animation folks.
I mention vivziepop because 1) a pilot she posted on YouTube led to a legitimate Amazon prime show, but also 2) she continues to make Helluva Boss, a full 2 season animated show HOSTED ON YOUTUBE. And I would argue that the animation quality is better than the Amazon prime show
Not to mention lackadaisy and digital circus and even animation YouTubers like odd1out or jaidenanimations have increasingly put out high quality content on their YouTube channels
not rly a fan of vivi personally for numerous personal reasons, but i can at least respect that she is still a prime example of the kinds of people that were being dismissed with that statement.
the others mentioned are also great! tbh i didnt even think abt animators during the original post, so im really glad you brought them up! odd1sout literally has a netflix show. animators are definitely a HUGE testament of people who have made incredibly high quality content on the platform. ty for giving them a spotlight! <3
