A friend and I were out to lunch today, when these three people (two women and one man, who all looked to be in their 30s-40s) walked in together wearing EXTREMELY pink outfits, having quite clearly either just gone to see the Barbie movie, or planned to go see it after eating. I don't know why, but it sparked such DELIGHT in me to see adults my age getting dressed up in character to go out to lunch and a movie... and having a BLAST whilst doing it. No embarrassment. No shame. No avoidance of eye contact or awkward side-eye. Just unapologetic fun and whimsy and JOY... and it was contagious. Many of the adults in the restaurant were exchanging knowing smiles with them - and with each other - like we were all in on some silly, shared secret. As I'm sitting here typing this, I can feel a big, goofy grin spreading across my face all over again, and I can’t stop smiling.

There is such a steady, never-ending, overwhelming barrage of Bad Sh*t going on out there in the world right now, and, with social media always at our fingertips, the heaviness can sometimes feel suffocating and inescapable... but then, every so often, we witness something truly delightful, which forces us to pause and remember that humans are pretty neat, actually... and I don't know about you, but I sure needed that reminder today. Joy is always worthwhile, my friends. Embrace it. 💛

Take care of yourself the way your body pleads. Even if it's just basic care

Body goals? Reach them. Don't give up because you haven't seen results. It's a work in progress, be patient with your body, it's trying it's best. Diet. Eat more. Whatever you want/need to do. You can do it.

Start going in front of your mirror and thinking to yourself. How proud you are of your growth. How beautiful you are. You aren't here to satisfy others desires, only your own. You are your own goal

You aren't going to make progress by procrastinating. You will be stuck in a loop. Sure, progress is hard. You need motivation. Determination. It's irritating during the process, but I promise the end result will leave you feeling accomplished. Free. Relieved
