pregnancy has been such an interesting journey, not much longer until he’s here 🍼

We are officially at 36 weeks! (A little more than halfway through, Oopsie). Overall I’m feeling good, but this last week or so I’ve had really bad edema in my feet and ankles, and some blood pressure fluctuations.

Tomorrow is my next OB appointment and they are doing blood pressure monitoring and a urinalysis to check for protein. Thankfully I’ve not had any other symptoms of preeclampsia but we’re being extra careful since my mom had preeclampsia with my brother and I! I would be ever so grateful for your prayers that I would make it to my due date and be able to deliver naturally with no issues!

I'm gonna be a mom!!

I know no one is going to even see this, and if they do they probably won't care. I've always simultaneously wanted and feared motherhood. I almost thought I'd never get the chance but here it is. And I couldn't imagine a more supportive partner to do this with. I may be in a deep depression from not being able to take my psych meds, but I look at this ultrasound and I feel a joy that almost always brings me to tears.

What do you think about these baby monitors? I personally got the Nanit monitor with the stand. For me it was important to have the stand because I live in a rental so dealing with the wall mount was a no for me. Another thing I wanted to consider was having the monitor on my phone so I could check on baby even when I'm not home...

We are officially 27 weeks! Baby girl is measuring almost a week ahead at 27w 4d, she is head down feet up and sitting on the right side. She was very sweetly tucked against the front of my tummy cuddled into her hands! Thankfully it looks like the placenta is in a good location and she’s in a good position!
