DC x DP prompt #3

I think at least lmao.

Anyway! Jason starts making videos on YouTube for one reason or another (is really stressed, no one listens to his rants Abt books who cares). His content is mostly bad books he read or really really really long rants Abt pride and prejudice. Like 3 hours on one tiny detail he noticed on his 214th read through.

He's kinda popular, mostly bc his terrible books videos. He talks Abt the ones that made him the most mad, which coincidentally are mostly romance and supernatural. Like he's one of the well known figures in the supernatural romance critique group (whcih is pretty small, but well). (Also he doesn't show his face on camera, bc secret identity and stuff, it's just his voice over a video of something mundane, like the sky or a room in which is a fly or something)

And now this can go two ways, that i can think of (w dead on main in mind at least)

1) one day Jason finds a book which is supernatural romance and is actually good. It has a kidna cliche system for the supernatural stuff, but with a refreshing twist. The characters have depts and flaws, yet are still very likable. The plot is actually interesting and overall the story's theme is death, not belonging anywhere and overall stuff that is very close to Jason's heart. The story doesn't shy away from violence and it is suprisingly accurate.

Anyway Jason kinda falls in love w it, and it becomes famous for being the first novel Jason rated positively or something.

Meanwhile Danny, who was told by jazz writing is good way to get his feeling out, and just wanted to make a quick buck, is really fucking confused how tf did his book become so popular and who tf is this nerd who rates books for a living.

(basically big fan Jason and suspicious/awkward Danny lmao)

2) there is a famous series on Jason profile. It's the worst fucking series he ever read and it's just fucking awful. All the characters are fucking terrible, always going on and on about one thing, the romance sucks in a way that isnt even funny. Jason would love to believe some wrote this as a joke, if it wasn't for the absolute cringefest this was, and it wasn't a whole ass series!! Like who writes 12 books for a joke?

Danny ducking Fenton that's who. Dude was so ducking annoyed at his rogues, he threatened them w writing a terrible romance novels abt them. The ghosts, knowing his terrible grade in literature backed off for a moment, before someone crossed the line. And write Danny did. It was the worst thing he had ever written, the love interest was perfect caricature yet still faithfully go the original. And Danny, because fuck them he lost sommuch sleep over that one prank, decided to publish it. (The book was pretty thin so it didn't take that much time writing it). Unfortunately it became immensely popular in the infinite realm. So the ghosts started crossing lines on purpose. Before Danny figured it out, he had already published his fifth book and was writing another three. After some bargaining, getting a book written Abt them as a piece of shit love interest became a reward.

And while yeah, he had to say his writing was terrible and the books sucked, some small part of him was kinda proud y'know? Like a mother of her twelve ugly as fuck toddlers.

So when he saw some nerd on the internet not only shit talk his book, but also get money of it?

Danny decided to haunt him (just like his books did him, now that everyone knew Abt them thanks to this guy)

(enemies (sorta it's not that serious tho) to lovers ala terrible writer Danny who hates his books and kinda famous YouTuber hasn't who also hates Danny's books)

So I read @aughtpunk 's cotl forgiveness au in like 2 days and now I'm hyperfocusing on it. I just keep thinking of cute little things. Particularly between Shaun and kallamar. Aughtpunk probably shouldn't read this.

Like they have regular are-we-still-engaged chess matches. The first time kallamar wins, they regretfully tell the others the engagement is off. Most everyone is like, you were engaged?? How?? Since when?????? The next day they're engaged again. It great and not at all confusing. Pretty soon no one is sure if the engagement is even real or not. Don't ask kallamar, he's not 100% sure either. Like they play games to see who's responsible for the flowers or menu decisions but is it real? Half the group is sure it isn't until it's the night before the wedding and Holy shit this is actually happening wtf and Shaun is just so disappointed in them. Kallamar is too, right my love? Kallamar is like, yeah, I can't believe they doubted the seriousness of this situation. Internally he's screaming. Shaun also didn't think it was that serious but over time he got sick of people shit talking kallamar to his face so he was like, now I gotta marry him in the biggest most amazing wedding ever. I just gotta.

I also just like the idea that they would use games to settle most disagreements. They watch eachothers strategies and moods to figure out how serious they need to be. If it's a lighthearted thing then they joke the whole time and whoever wins, wins. Gg. If it's something more important to one than the other then they give a good game but let that person win since clearly this is a significant matter. If it's an important matter to both, they use the game as something of a distraction. I can't kill you for not understanding exactly where I'm coming from by magically reading my mind if I'm too busy trying to figure out if the move you just made is even legal. By the end of the match, whomever wins, it comes out as more of a compromise.

They do have this problem where if they don't have a clear goal for a game, it can escalate into terrible ends. Like Shaun makes a flirty double entendre about calamari, kallamar says something gross about cannibalism, suddenly its 3 am, they're in the kitchen with heket who is waaaay too happy about cooking some of her brother's flesh with the intention of giving it to his ex-fiancee to eat (shaun being grossed out by cannibalism made him lose), and questioning all of their life choices.

Oh and after wedding thought. Shaun asks narinder for a life flower (that what I've been calling them in my head). Narinder is grossed out but Shaun gives this whole speech about how they aren't gonna use it now, he just wants to show kallamar that he did notice that he wasnt sure how serious he was about the wedding but he is very serious about wanting to have this life together with him and growing their family together. Narinder does reluctantly give him a flower. Little while later kallamar asks for the same thing. His explanation is a little more based in logic. They've talked about children before and he's probably gonna be the one carrying them so it just makes sense for him to have the flower. Everyone is like aww they're gonna present these flowers to eachother and it's gonna be cute or something. Meanwhile kallamar is confirming that he and his husband aren't needed for anything else tonight and maybe the flower might work if brewed into a tea but eh it's better to not chance it and just. Fucking. Eats it. Right there. Infront of God (poor jake) and everybody. Did his husband see that? No, of course not. That would prevent any miscommunication drama. It's like, dude, did you guys plan on that or...? And kallamar is like, we've had some of the most important discussions about this already, I fail to see why we can't start trying now. And then he leaves to go spend his wedding with Shaun in private and now the whole family has no idea what to do with themselves. They did not need this information.

I also have thoughts for their kids. First set is twins. They are cute. They look like normal lambs just tinted blue. At first. They actually have tendrils they hide amongst their wool. They're also good at team hunting. If you see the both of them, it's safe. If you only see one, it's a distraction, turn around, you are being ambushed.

These are just fun little thoughts I had. Feel free to ignore me.

I had a dream about drawfee

I just had a dream where I was at school and there was an assembly in the auditorium and I didn't know what it was for but we all walk in and I see the drawfees on stage. Like julia jacob nathan Karina. And I go and sit by my friends and also rosé was there somehow. And they like do the intro and in the dream I was thinking no ones gonna cheer no way anyone knows who they are but then the crowd like erupts with cheers when they start doing the intro and I was like really? Every time I talk about drawfee or drawtectives no one knows what it is. Anyways they pull down a projector and a show off an entire movie but I didn't see all of it in the dream just the beginning. The plot of the movie was they live in space with these two gophers and the thing is this movie didn't make sense in the dream and now it's kinda fuzzy but I'll try to explain anyways. The two gophers each have a gold coin and the coins can't touch or else they'll explode and send the gophers back to the moon or the sun because each gopher comes from either the sun or moon. But the drawfee crew now has to rescue their dear friends these two gophers. But Jacob just goes to the sun and grabs the coin from the gopher like it's no big deal I'm just on the sun he leaves his gopher friend whom he loves though he's like I'll be back for you and I'm sitting here like dude why didn't you grab your gopher friend that you care about so much. Meanwhile Julia go the coin from the moon gopher but she also did not grab the gopher. Then in the dream there was a time skip to after the movie somehow I was just hanging out backstage with the drawfee crew because reasons. And so we were talking about the movie and I'm like that's amazing because btw it was animated in like a Disney style like tangled or frozen or Luca it looked like that sorta thing. So anyways I was like that's literally amazing how did you do this was this just you guys? And Julia goes yeah it was just us working on it and Nathan goes now you know what we're doing in between uploads and I'm just sitting here like in shock at the fact that I'm sitting with the drawfee crew, at the fact I just watched their movie they never advertised on the channel, at the fact they made an entire animated film. And I just jokingly ask so when's drawtectives season three? Does York learn to read yet or... and then Julia jacob Nathan and Karina just look at eachother and they're all smiling and then I fucking wake up and the dreams over. Did the drawfee crew punch me in the face??? Huh??? Why did they all look at eachother like that??? Wtf??? Anyways that's the thing I had to say I dont apologise for the random long post Mabey I'll go back and fix all the typos there are in this. Maybe. Dreams are just smoothies of memories amiright I love drawfee and I can't wait for s3 drawtectives eeeeeeee

- xiaohenyang black on black dance break I sobbed

- the first VCR started with jungwoo and jeno and I thought they'd do Js first then it went to yuta and my brain said "mera juta hai japani" which is a line from an old Bollywood song meaning "my shoe is japanese" and it cracked me up too much to pay attention to the rest of the VCR

- about the from home stage: RENJUN MY BABY smiling when he made it through his famous voice crack part and all the members putting their mics up to him for the "and it starts from here our home" bit 😭😭😭

- new stages/songs i don't remember being performed before that I loved: Oasis (why does sm hate winwin's voice), kangaroo (i need a well shot performance vid), ok, pado (tho why would they call it pado and not wave bc my brain immediately read it as pedo and then it was a sexy song and I was Disturbed), call d (what does that even mean lol they're not even trying to hide the frat boyness anymore), and you specifically are gonna love bat and alley oop

- why were the mics so bad. why was the camera work so bad, esp in nct u songs where they clearly don't know which part is whose. also they were focusing wayyy too much on close-ups for choreo-heavy songs (rip nectar). also the random hour long delay in between wtf?? tho I did like wayv banter in the meanwhile, speaking of which

- WHY DID THEY CHANGE WAYV'S INTRO TO "TO THE WORLD THIS IS NCITY"?!!!!!!!! also they clearly just tossed wayv up there to buy time while they fix the sets, it was kinda hilarious. they're pushing winwin to act cute and winwin taps his in ear and says "give us more time" (as in the staff asking them to fill up more time before the performance) and they jumped on him with "you can have all the time you want to act cute baby" to which winwin tries to hide behind ten but he's a whole head taller than him lol

- baggy jeans is good and I'm sure it'll grow on me more, but the t7s unit reunion feels wasted on it. love love LOVE ten's rap verse tho

- songs i loved live but really missed the missing members (this is mostly taeil tho sungchan makes a couple of appearances): round& round, my everything, taeil's empty spot in good night broke my heart, misfit, the 90s love bit in resonance. i like that they didn't have anyone cover taeil in 127's songs tho because he really is the heart of their music to me

- conversely: why does winwin still have 0 lines in boss, why not give him you know who's verse??

- apparently the new 127 album will be the most 127-esque yet and should I be scared?

- so so so very few resonance era songs :(

- some beautiful people: chenle, winwin, ten's wayv outfit, jisung in his black outfit (is that allowed???), taeyong's little braids even though I'm not sure how to feel about this hair, KUN 😭, yuta being the only one without a shirt in resonance for some reason

- Kun, Doyoung, jeno and Chenle together in the end that's my husbands and our sons

Overall the missing members left a layer of pain the whole time but the members who covered for them did amazing, Yuta hitting taeil's high note my baby did so well. And Jisung too, speaking of, recently I have been fighting any attraction to Jisung back with a stick, but the past day I... Can no longer fight it like hello???? Sir?? Sir?? Also I really noticed how much he and Winwin look alike I used to think it was just their lips but its their cheeks and smiles too. Jisung still looks more like Taylor Swift though. Who is coming to Miami next year! I think it's an amphitheatre so might picnic in the parking lot. Anyway next!

I just wanna talk about how much of a cutie patootie sweetie pie Renjun is every time I see him I'm like heres the boy! and his little smile! His redemption. And just everyone clamoring to him and Winwin, the princes of NCT.

I really didn't want to spoil all of the new songs yet so I just skimmed over them. And I did allow a little more of Bat and you are so right but but I left some surprises and I'll go back after the album release. But Hendery!!!! That is all. Call D, I have so many questions but the sheer vibe of the song answers them. It's not an NCT album without a song covertly about sex. Baggy jeans from what I've heard so far, same I'm not completely sold on it but I didn't hear the whole song so who knows.

The production value was definitely lacking and they seemed confused about how to film it. At least Winwin had a few of you knows lines in Wayv's songs but I always say this but it's cause the first time was so hard but the Yixing vibes are so strong with Winwin, and I worry. SM if you appreciate Winwin and give him everything he needs he won't find it else where just give him more please. Give Wayv more!!! I am an exo-l who's seen a lot and I'm scared okay. I don't want history to repeat itself. Again!! Cause exo was history repeating itself the first time.

I think we should just be prepared for the next 127 album it could honestly be anything, genuinely anything. I think just go in open-minded and ready to hear them out.

And I just wanna add just Xiaojun Yangyang and Hendery, that's it Xiaojun Yangyang and Hendery just wow look at them also.

Man some Eren stans need to chill for real. I can't believe I got attacked by one of them just now telling me to stfu only because I said you can't compare what the Corps had to do in Liberio cannot be compared with the horrible things Eren did both then and the rumbling. They basically accused me of being a hypocrite because (they say) if I call the rumbling genocide, then I should also believe the Corps are just as guilty as Eren because of Liberio. I mean wtf?! Are they seriously considering the range of Eren's mass genocide to what the Corps did in Liberio? They weren't aiming their guns at innocent ppl like how Eren did with his colossal titans. They were left with no choice other than saving Eren+ Zeke and killing Marleyan officers+soldiers to weaken their forces otherwise they'd been doomed THANKS TO EREN AND HIS BRO. They were forced by Eren fucking Jaeger to attack the town. None of them wanted any of that. Mikasa literally teared up, Armin broke down at the gaze of dying civilians, Levi was so angry he kicked the shit out of Eren. Now let me guess they're gonna accuse me of being a hypocrite again here bcz "Ohh Levi said we can attack Marley again" meanwhile what I'd like to tell them is to shut the fuck up about Levi and read thru all the lines first. They were at a desperate situation and they literally couldn't trust Zeke anymore (I don't even think Levi was serious about that but that's not important for now). Also what these dumb idiots tend to ignore every time you try to pound some logic to their brainless heads is the cause of Liberio's battle in the first place. It was Zeke and Eren fucking Jaeger who pushed Marley into starting their all-out war against Paradis so that they could grant their stupid wishes. The Jaeger brothers treated the Corps & Marley in both cases: Liberio+Rumbling as their own walking puppets. Sorry, I really hope u don't mind me sending u this ask. I came to you to rant my guts out. I was so pissed and I only felt comfortable sharing this with you.

Now that sounds about as typical from one of the crazed Eren fans as you'll ever get. But you laid it out perfectly, exactly why trying to say the SC's attack on Liberio is the same as Eren's act of genocide is absurd. Beyond just the sheer numbers and the actual targets being military personnel versus unarmed civilians, it was Eren's and Zeke's fault and their own, planned machinations which forced the SC to attack Liberio in the first place. If Eren and Zeke hadn't literally manipulated the situation the way they did, the SC never would have had to and never WOULD HAVE attacked Liberio at all. And the same applies to Levi saying they could attack Marley again. If not for Zeke's and Eren's reckless disregard for everything and everyone but themselves and their desires, Paradis never would have been placed in a position in which a second attack on Marley would have been necessary. If they hadn't lied to everyone, if Zeke hadn't poisoned and held hostage all of Paradis' top military brass, if Eren hadn't escaped confinement to meet up with Zeke to start the Rumbling, if Zeke hadn't lied through his teeth every step of the way, then none of it would have been necessary, and none of it would have happened. To blame The Survey Corps or any of its members (minus Flock and his followers) for what happened in Liberio is laughable at best, and intellectually bereft at worst. They were literally forced into a corner. Eren was going to attack the festival, regardless if the SC showed up to rescue him or not. In which case, if they DIDN'T attack Liberio and retrieve Eren, Eren would have been killed or captured, Paradis would have been left without any way of enacting the Rumbling, all the nations of the world would still blame them for what had happened, and they would all attack, including Marley, with a fully intact military force. The entire island would have been wiped out within a matter of days. The SC literally had no choice if they wanted to give the island any chance of survival. Eren knew that. Zeke knew that. He knew they would come for him for that very reason. What the SC did was to save lives. What Eren did was to take them. As Hange said, he abused their trust in him, and his in them, all to get what he wanted. So yeah, no, what the SC did in Liberio is in no way, shape or form comparable to what Eren did, either IN Liberio or later, with the Rumbling. Anyone who says so is a rank moron.

That really is super sad, aw. I feel for both of them. And I'm super glad they managed to make up and now Tweyen gained another loving family. It's even more sweet to see them together in events now, knowing how long it took them to get there

At least now they're working on it together and making up for lost time. and now Tweyen is also allowed the loving family Silva promised her all along. it's really really sweet considering how hard it was for them to get to this point.

(fun fact, there was an event about Silva's family a while back, and there was a mini game in this event where you collected points to unlock furniture for their house and all. One of said furniture was Silva having a painting of Tweyen in her living room. That Silva gets very flustered about if her sisters point it out. Like straight friends do.)

AND LMAO RIGHT. the irony is that Siete saw the whole scene??? Even more so, kinda set it in motion???

bc before this scene, Tweyen fights all of the Eternals first, leaving Seofon for last. Seofon laments that he wished to keep this incident "in house" but that he would need to ask for help a bit.

Meanwhile the Bow convinces Tweyen she needs to kill Danchou too, to prove she's above the eternals and the crew, and it's when Danchou defeat Tweyen and Tweyen and Silva can get a heart to heart.

and Seofon appears at the end of it all and just asks for Tweyen to at least pay for her actions. And everyone is like wtf she wasn't in control. And Seofon is like "oh no i didn't mean something drastic like that, i mean, who doesn't fight between coworkers and all. No i mean like, she should invite us all for tea." but then he comments he's happy that all is well that ended well and at least Tweyen reconnected with her friend.

So he was there, he watched, and he didn't learn anything from it <3333

Some thoughts

Everyone's heard someone's own tale of woe of missing the old days of the internet. Never once during my 20s did I think about what kind of struggles NSFW artists would go through into the 21st century.

But after departing from y!Gallery for transphobic rules, then tumblr's poor handling of the porn ban, and now Twitter/X for just general wtf-ery, it's not easy uploading anything adult content nowadays and hope to build rapport.

Needless to say, I think tumblr is a fine platform if you toe the line just right. After Ismaire's sequel Halloween piece was hidden then red-flagged, it got me thinking about our experience so far on tumblr:

1) I follow #dark fantasy with the intent of seeing dark/gothic artwork, and yet somehow "dark fantasy" is conflated with dirty talk. I didn't think much on it cos whatever, everyone has their thoughts. Recently, though, the algorithm suggested a post where someone openly talks about masturbating to a porn vid and getting lost in their orgasmic headspace. It left me impressed when I realized how many people are willing to express their kinks with such explicitness -- without any mature labels. Surely Community Safety has bigger fish to fry, like those porn spam bots👍

2) An artist I follow shared a nsfw link to an old post with the Mature community label, and the image depicted an obviously explicit penetrative sex. Surprisingly, it's still hanging on because I guess a cleverly placed sticker was a good enough censor. You'd think this is somewhat encouraging that maybe we too can share some creatively drawn sexy times. The same artist also managed to hide an explicit pic of their OC getting finger banged under a "keep reading" link, and that was definitely not censored. I'm glad they're able to show it off, but personally, that's way too many mental hoops to jump through just to share the conclusion to the OC's horniness.

3) So then I post a drawing of a queer triad wearing scantily-clad costumes, no labels for potential mature content. We'll ignore that MyungJin was showing of their breasts, albeit no obvious nipples, and Vance's package was implied under the skirt. Meanwhile, Ismaire's sequel piece, labled as "Mature" + "sexual themes" gets hidden right after uploading. We were left confused why it wouldn't show on our dash or in the tags. After a few attempts of troubleshooting, then we saw why: Community Safety deemed Vance's hand going down Bidan's panties as sexually explicit, even though no genitalia was exposed. After meditating on it, though, we both figured it may as well have infringed the community guidelines🤷🏻 There's no reason why we should be confused by this, right? Especially after point #2.

While I'm on this topic, I need to point out that tumblr failed at being transparent how their Community Labels work. Yes, it works by helping people who don't want to see mature content. But was there ever a mention on how tumblr will hide your post from tag search if it detects infringement even with the Mature label? Maybe we're late to the party, but I guess it now makes sense how some posts are able to fly under the radar. Gotta get that visibility somehow.

For those that do, remember how some people's posts were randomly flagged for mature content before the purge? I had to wonder if tumblr was able to refine an automated bot/AI that can visually detect mature themes, and flag it for staff to review. Or maybe they just straight up queue in a mature post pool for people to manually review and release.

This happened to an upload I did on a fandom blog this year. It was a Leon/Ada pic that showed a lot of bite marks on Leon, Ada's skirt was hiked up exposing her butt, and the post was clearly marked "Mature". I contacted support about it, asking why it's taken more than a day for it show up in the tags. All I got in response was that I should give it time, but they'll also look into the community label for me.

The conclusion was laughably redundant: "We deemed your post as mature and labeled it for you." I mean, sure, I guess I needed their stamp of approval that it was indeed "Mature". Least I got a win when it was now allowed to be floating in the tags after a couple days of the initial upload 🙄

It's tiring to compartmentalize your art when sexuality is part of the experience. And to be clear, I'm not complaining. It's just discouraging thinking that you're being compliant, to put all this thought and energy into creating a piece, only to have it hidden with no communication that it's even being reviewed until you get an email saying the post has been flagged. Meanwhile, there are people out there who'll just explicitly talk about their kinks without the community labels, or have the post appropriately labeled, but then share the real spice under read more links.

Sure, we could've appealed, but honestly, we're just here to have fun and post. Neither of us care to spend the energy debating nuance and the subjectiveness of mature content with a company who didn't find solutions to not shaft their community from the beginning. Tumblr has evolved, and it's made it clear that queer artists just can't be true with their art.

That all said, we're planning to keep the blog, but just like Instagram and X, it's a lower priority to update when the engagement is already difficult to cultivate.

In a fit of frustration, I got us a key generated to Pillowfort because at this point, where else would we share our stuff? And man, am I glad I did. It's only been a few days, and honestly, we feel a lot better for it. We're not here for the numbers or clout, but it's a pleasant surprise seeing that we gained a few new followers in less than a day after we introduced ourselves to the community.

And I'm gonna be real: it's refreshing to have people actually like your stuff without worrying whether someone's gonna judge them for it, or that there's some pending horny jail waiting for them. The like function is pretty much like an AO3 kudos, and I think that's for the better really. If I liked something enough that I want to find it again, then it's more meaningful to share it so others can see it too.

now that the show is over and some time is slowly passing, are you willing to revisit the discussion about early show discussions about making Kara pansexual and how it veered away from that?

I mean... I've heard things but you never know what's true.

Look, I have a friend whose friend wrote for S1 under that predatory piece of shit AK, and she was so traumatized by the experience that she refuses to even discuss her time working on the show. So my friend who also watched the show and rooted for an LGBTQ Kara and SC Endgame and wanted to know WTF along with everyone else, rightfully wasn't about to push nor ask about what truly was planned or went on, because it just wouldn't be appropriate.

I also know somebody who is connected to AA's circle and I know AA went through a lot of bad and unfair shit as well. So you never know what plans people had, what long-term outlooks were in mind for characters, but starting off with a lesbian co-showrunner, and sapphic jokes and nods to Kara's possible sexuality multiple times in S1 ("Oh my God you're a lesbian." and Leslie saying she gave off sapphic butch vibes and Kara's comments about Lucy, etc) certainly hinted that she might've been meant to be bi/pan from the get by some. And rumors suggest that too. But maybe CBS got in the way?

And then when it landed on The CW, maybe someone hoped to try again with bringing in a favorite amongst wlw fandoms in the form of KMG, with an "LL" name and red/blue dynamic and her first episode having a Clois save recreation and testing chemistry and such with a 3-episode arc a la EBR on Arrow being hired for just one episode initially then recurring, then being made a regular and Oliver's romantic endgame. It sure seems like it was always something some people were aiming for -- especially after that confirmation from the S2-3 writer who openly wrote "Supercorp" into a script, wrote a scene after Mon-El was sent away where Cat tells Kara that love is still ahead for her and in walks Lena who asks Kara to dinner, and said on Twitter she "was always rooting for those two". But clearly those who rooted for it and tried for it were continuously fought and shut down by somebody... showrunners, networks, EPs, etc -- who knows. I believe even Chyler had mentioned being surprised that Alex would be the LGBTQ character for S2, and I think I read someplace that FL was cast a pretty last minute.

Meanwhile over the years, SG repeatedly lost or never locked down some of their best LGBTQ and SC-heavy writers. Did they simply move on? Were they let go for always fighting for SC? Or were they just sick of hitting walls on what was clearly the most organic path for Kara and Lena and the show, and grew tired of writing forced cheap imitation relationships between the two women and various men due to heteronormativity and homophobia and bts situations forced upon them by somebody above? Nobody knows.

So again, we can't know for certain what everyone's plans were until they reveal it themselves, if they ever even can or do. I do know other writers from the A'verse who fully saw and believed in SC and didn't understand nor agree with what the show did and why they never went there. To me, that tends to suggest it wasn't a DC/WB issue... because if was you'd think they'd know that. So it sounds -- at least to me -- like it was more of a showrunner or EP or network issue.

I will also say, I was shown a DM exchange between a S5-6 writer and a fan in S5 during the height of the writers room getting hammered with negative feedback and reviews where this writer hinted at creative conflict with showrunners and within the writer's room in general, and made it clear that some writers were in line with what fans wanted, but had people above them to answer to.

This also seems to be backed up with JF's recent interview where he stuttered through an answer on SC/queerbait, citing approvals from above being needed and so on, but never giving a direct answer on the issue. Obviously no one wants to break rank or risk future work by pointing any finger directly at any one person or company.

Look, perhaps one day we'll all find out the truth... until then, since Kara's sexuality was never defined as straight, since she slept with one man in the history of the show one time, but also seemed a bit taken by Lucy, openly flirted with Kate twice, had interesting chemistry with multiple women from Psi to Cat to Imra and more, and was established as being soulmates with Lena over the years with all the Clois and other romantic parallels and tropes and framing and the 100th (being mysterious "partners" in a universe where both weren't with others at all, and one could plead the 5th in court against having to testify against the other) and their heavily coded "coming out" discussion and "us against the world defending our family" vibe in the series finale, plus Kara looking Lena's direction while singing "we belong together" and looking/heading towards her after she took off her glasses and walked away, now her true self...

I think it's safe to assume via tons of subtext and even at times maintext in a way, that Kara was in fact pansexual, and Supercorp was truly endgame. So just take that "win" -- which in the year 2021 is an absurd and unacceptable consolation prize, alas...

Shinichi and Kaito switch +bnha

Shinichi discovers the old Kid files of his dad and takes a deep dive into it, Kaito learns from his mom about the friend toichi used to have who writes *scoff* about detectives. He can't really understand why and does some research, comes to the critic solution but also, that being a critic himself might actually help him because he is looking at his tricks from a more logically point.

Uhm...

He isn't really a murder solving Detective but he does get confronted with it.

Shinichi meanwhile tries to figure out the misters to KID and why he vanished and noticed when there is talking about the new "KID" so of course he checks it out. Maybe because Kaito doesn't confront he is like there when the dudes confront jii-san and hears and helps him?

Kaito is on a date with aoko when he noticed the suspicious dudes. Because if his career as a magician the case is solved easily (it always it the murder and Motiv are the harder part for him but usually he quickly figures out who becuas he can read people well)

Uhm.. He ets turned into a little kid? But let's say aoko actually follows and finds him, and she understands. She tells her dad and they all keep it a secret because... I don't want to give them another secret

Uh the mom prob helps set up a fake identity?

I would say Kaito wasn't such a well known Detective so the dudes didn't recognize him really

Kaito actually does find his dad secret hideout befirbeir after tiny? He confronts his mom and she explains, tells him to talk to jii-san too who she assumes is doing the heists, jii his hesitant but explains.

Jii doesn't tell shinichi he told Kaito because he assumes Kaito would talk to him, he isn't flwrong hut he forgot Kaito drama streak

Kaito appears at a heist were shinichi is having fun, mentally critiques many tricks and at the end meets him but like "I heard so much about you shinichi kudo" bam haha

Okay this is actually good idea but at the same time I don't wanna write it

So akao is furious Kaito doesn't fall for her and comes to the conclusion he is kid. Maybe it is at the same heist that she appears. She used a spell that would tempt (is there a better word? Not seduce) both of kaitos identities... But well it isn't one person that are two with 4 identities... Wait fuck Kaito is baby hmm maybe he doesn't deage at all? But has to switch identity? Hmm interesting idea too. Anyway

Maybe akako thinks Kaito is kinda magical and can switch between teen form and other and is also angry so she uses such a spell? Hmm

Anyway spell backfires and creates a rift? And they fall through? Into bnha

So both are unhappy shinichi is slightly panick because identity and Kaito doesn't clear up, they both land in a deserted alley and when going out are confronted by... Lots of colors and unusual things.

They mutual agree to hide together because wtf, and slowly pirce together they are in a dif universe. Shinichi wants to go to ua because Ressource and also scouting it from inside and the system and stuff and Kaito agrees but says shinichi is too bad and Kaito should do it but Kaito is baby so that doesn't work, thus crash course in magic?

I think everyone is aware at this point that I'm tired

Shinichi is in ua and oh no it's 1a, so he is scouting things trying to puzzle out how to get back, Kaito is suffering kids school it's boring, he tends to sneak out if he can, and go to the library or scout the city. He also is the one that does the most history research after the crash curse for the exam because he has more time... Kaito thinks shinichi should still do heist so he doesn't get rusty, shinichi calls him insane, he does kinda small stuff tho. People are confused about his returning but we'll he has to build a character jow, before he could ride on the old one. Though hero and police with quirks are harder but also easier.

I want to make Kaito befriend the loc somehow... Hmm pre lov he makes friends with toga? Because she can change and like he says he could do it too hut kow he is stuck as a kid and he has to wait. He jokingly tells her not to copy kids because she might get stuck too and she takes him serious. (would she be even able to become smaller than she is? But hmmm idk of ocha is smaller or not) this is before her breakdown I guess? Or maybe after but kaito doesn't really know? Hmm how to continue this...

Kaito getting dragged into the lov? Idk would be funny just kaiot bonding with compress annoying Sabi and shiggy teaming up with fabi to annoy shiggy playing games with shiggy and spinner being friends with spinner and toga having fun with twice.....

Someday they find a gem that looks like the one akako used and they can use that to return it is all very heartbreaking as they say goodbye to all their friends and stuff, when they return thex learn they were gone for like idk a 2 weeks? Because time moves faster in bnha for them to be that fat ahead. Anyway maybe Kaito found a way to be a teen in bnha and now he is back to usual, he and shinichi team up to take both ogs down so yay

Shinichi is now way better at being Kid and to create allibies (even if they don't need) they switch the role sometimes (kaito has to hold himself back so much hut shinichi also has to be a it more outgoing jow) so happy ending overall yay

Blou I love you but this ask is so long it is so funny to me. Having to literally scroll down my ask box.

Putting it under read more to not make it too long.

The first part is fun, though I feel like they'd still fight for the stupidest reason, but have secret alliance meeting where they feed the cats behind the school and refuses to mention it at any other time. Secret truce. Only aggreeing for the sake of the cats.

Second part! Where all the fun is! I love reluctant detective Kaito. He's not so much a detective as he simply keep stumbling into it. I was like wait that sounds familiar and it reminded me of the accidental kidswap au. Which Im pretty sure I don't have a tag for, but basically Kaito and Shinichi got swapped at birth, but Genetics(tm) mean Kaito still wants to be a magician, Shinichi still wants to be a detective.

Then Kaito stumble upon the Black Organisation, and Shinichi finds out his dad was murdered.

I like the MHA twist especially with Shinichi trying to preserve his identity by disguising himself as teen!Kaito, while de-aged Kaito keep calling him out on his disguises skills (also just the idea of Shinichi hiding by disguising himself as Kaito is so funny to me I don't even know why). I feel like Kaito can totally lie and say his quirk make him looks like a 6yo, unless he wanna hide the fact he's a teenager to Shinichi. Which is just unecessarily convoluted but so funny, because Shinichi has his own doubts about it. They're both hiding their secret identity and having their own suspicions about the other and it ends up a game of does he know that i know that he knows that i know.

Kaito befriending the LoV! Could be so much fun if done well! Though I feel like if it's after they've turned to murder he really wouldn't approve? It's be a fight between murder bad and society made them like this (which is, huge MHA plot point) and would be very interesting in term of Character Development for Kaito as well tbh.

The way I could see it would be:

- Shinichi liked mysteries. Love them. But at some point he realised he loved creating mysteries even more, but not in the way his father does by writing book. And then, he stumble upon the First KID (so when Shinichi is still young, like 7) and realises that, yes, this is what he wants. Yukiko teaches him acting and disguises here, Yusaku teaches him how to create mysteries, and Shinichi teach himself how to magic.

- Kaito loved seeing his dad tricks, and loved even more finding how they worked. He knows how to replicate them from slowly unraveling how they work. Sometimes Nakamori tells him about cases at work that stumps even the more hard-working officer, and Kaito loves trying to solve them as if they were puzzles. He somehow build himself a reputation as a teen detective.

- When Shinichi hears KID is coming back, of course he goes to see it! And it doesnt take him long to realise, this is not KID. This is what leads to him finding out the truth, and later taking the mantle of KID.

- At Tropical Land, it didn't take long for Kaito to understand how that person died on the rollercoaster. Gin & Vodka finding an opportunity to "take him out" was only pure luck.

- Shinichi hides it from Ran and everyone else, like canon. But Ran has her own suspicions, and Shinichi can never agree with Sonoko for why KID is great.

- Kaito tried to hide his new state at first. Except the lack of support system means that Aoko and Nakamori finds out very quickly. (He called his mom first, who asked Nakamori to "look after her nephew", except Kaito wasn't aware of the cover story and Nakamori hasn't chased after KID for so long to not realise when something is afoot.)

- Shenanigans. At some point Nakamori has to drag Kaito to a KID heist.

(At this point, Kaito still doesn't know his dad used to be Kaitou KID. Shinichi also doesn't know the first KID used to have a son.)

Around this point (they're familiar with each other, but don't know each other's secret) Akako does Magic Fuckery and they end up in MHA world I guess?

- Shinichi disguises as "someone who could be Kaito's relative", not realising he looks exactly like Kaito teenage form. He pretends they're brother, and Kaito hates it.

- Whatever lead they got leads them to UA? Everything happens there. Shinichi somehow manages to become a Gen Ed Student, Kaito is too young (because Shinichi didn't let him pretend to be a high schooler, no matter how mature he is).

- Kaito "runs away", and ends up being the LoV's problem I guess.

I'm honestly not sure how I'd build up their adventure in MHA-verse tbh but there sure is a lot of shenanigans and heart to heart talks.

SNK CHAPTER 131

what an absolutely sickening, yet chaotically beautiful chapter, i don't even know what to feel. (Probs one of Isayama's best works so far. The graphic details of the rumbling made me wanna throw up ngl).

Today's AoT scene(s) that broke my heart and almost made me cry: Eren apologizing for being (worse than) a rotten piece of shit, and for becoming an absolute monster. (even though, the rumbling didn't happen yet, he knows it's coming. and there's no stopping it.)

And that question he asked Mikasa on chapter 123? That was his desperate, and last attempt to cling to hope... hope that maybe, just maybe, the future could be changed. That was the last time Eren ever allowed himself to become vulnerable. After hearing Mikasa's dissappointing response, that was it. He gathered all his willpower and decided to push through with this absolutely morbid act.

Damn, RIP Fez Kid.What a horrific sight.

For people saying that Eren is a cold-blooded murderer, think again. He knew the stakes, he knew what he was getting himself into, he knew it was inhumane, he knew it was monstrous,. Hell, the boy is miserable and fucked up. He is disgusted with himself, and he's suffering just as much! but did he really have a choice?

Actually, yes he did. And he chose to chase after the freedom he always dreamed/obsessed as a child (thus, "the scenery" being viewed in child Eren's eyes). Bringing me back to Kenny's words: "Everyone had to be drunk on something to keep pushing on."

And for Eren haters out there, you better wait in line because no one will be able to hate Eren more than he already he hates himself.

Eren has basically hated himself ever since he kissed Historia's hand.

But this scene tho:

am i the only one who found this creepy????? child Eren smiling vs massacre. This mix brought chills down my spine. Creepy asf.

Was this really the freedom you've always wanted? Huh, Eren?

I do not hate Eren. If anything, this chapter made me love his character even more. (The way he's written is top-notch. Isayama 🔥) I just feel really sorry for the boy. Suffocated by the thought of "there was no other way" and "everything was set in stone from the start." I think all his monologues about how he "chose" this path, is just him desperately trying to convince himself.

OTHERS:

This scene broke what’s left of my already shattered heart. I can't help but think how lonely Eren must have felt all this time. Being stuck with your thoughts, knowing the horrible future, and being absolutely powerless about it. I'm pretty sure there were times where he just felt like giving up and crying and wishing his mother was there to comfort him.

Armin and Annie's conversation huhu. Idk if it was Bertholdt's memories influencing Armin, but it was still a really cute moment. I loved it.

I love how Eren's view of freedom contrasts with Armin's despite them dreaming about the same thing since they were little kids. My heart aches for the two of them. That scene in the paths where Armin was looking at child Eren? That broke my heart. Those two were best friends. Hell, Armin was Eren’s only friend before Mikasa, and it really hurts that it had to come to this. (it showed how Eren actually never changed, meanwhile Armin grew up.)

Also, why the fuck could that Fez kid see Ymir????????? Is she somehow witnessing the rumbling instead of Eren???? Idk. I mean, this could be her finally getting her revenge (it's completely understandable, but still). But also, why is Eren asleep??????? And where exactly is his body?????????? wtf.

AND WHAT IS UP W THE SEAGULLS????????????

i have never felt terror, disgust, angst, heartache, and sympathy all at once from reading just one chapter. But this? Damn.

aight, i'm back and actually surviving this whole ship week thing ^^ it's way more fun than i initially thought so definitely expect me doing stuff for every other ship week ever lmao

Arthur eyed the shattered camera on the floor.

"I didn't think you meant that literally."

Tyrian turned away from his specimen tanks.

"Hmm? Oh. Right. That. Why would I have been kidding?" he grinned, laughing. "When I say I break something, I mean it!"

Arthur snorted quietly, nudging a pastel purple bean bag with his foot. The thing looked so out of place in the dreary iron walls of the basement. It was his first time being snuck in here, and his first time here in general. And he was not expecting pastel-colored bean bags all over the place.

Though now that he thought about it, putting bright-colored furniture in a dark room sounded exactly like one of the bizarre things Tyrian would do.

Arthur hesitantly sat on the bean bag.

Tyrian ducked his head into the shelves, looking between tanks to watch his little animals eat. There were frogs, snakes, various kinds of ants, and naturally, scorpions galore. There were others, but most of said 'others' were currently being eaten alive.

Once he reached the last column of tanks, he stuck his arm into one in the middle. Arthur almost panicked, then saw the big, black scorpion crawl up Tyrian's arm.

It briefly stopped crawling at his shoulder. What Arthur noticed first was it's lack of stinger.

But as Tyrian began walking back to Arthur, it started crawling all over. Tyrian didn't look fazed in the slightest.

Arthur recoiled, backing against the wall. Though he tried not to look disturbed, it clearly didn't work, judging by the look he was getting from Tyrian.

Tyrian bent down, somewhat bowing so his smug, grinning face was level with Arthur's. The scorpion was within arm's reach now. Arthur inched away ever so slightly.

Tyrian snorted.

"Say, Arty, do you mind holding onto Larry while I prep my speakers?"

Arthur gave him a look like, 'dude, wtf'.

"Pwetty Pwease?"

There was hesitance. But he relented. Arthur scowled, rolling his eyes.

"Fine.."

Tyrian hopped excitedly, allowing Larry to climb off him and into Arthur's lap. The scorpion crawled about briefly, then settled itself on Arthur's right knee.

It had to be the lap, hadn't it?

Arthur recoiled further. He glanced at Tyrian, who merely shrugged and raised his arms in response.

"Don't worry, buddy! He's house-trained!" Tyrian turned away, muttering quietly.

"Mostly.."

"What was that?"

"Nothing!"

Tyrian walked off to the speakers. He picked up his phone and began to work with the Bluetooth.

Meanwhile, Arthur was just about having the time of his life with Larry snoozing on his lap. Every tiny fidget was a bit more of the anxious breaths he was holding in his attempts of not moving. But when the scorpion raised its tail, he couldn't help but let out a miniature squeak.

He hoped Tyrian didn't hear that.

He was wrong, of course. Not that he needed to know. Tyrian himself found it adorable. He glanced back for a second, chuckling. It may have been brief and blurry because of his terrible eyesight, but he tried to visualize it properly.

Another glance.

He wanted the picture of Arthur and his scorpion burned into his brain. Literally or figuratively, though..? Eh. Didn't matter.

After indecisively scrolling around his tracks, he decided to leave it at shuffle.

Another glance.

Classical music filled the room. Tyrian clasped his hands together, humming along to the tune. He began to sway a bit as well. Though to Arthur, it mostly looked like he was swaying drunkenly and trying not to fall.

Tyrian tossed himself around for a bit, before swiping Larry from Arthur's lap. He held the scorpion in the air, twirling around with Tyrian.

"Allons danser, ma belle!" he grinned.

Larry pinched him in response.

Arthur rolled his eyes, crossing his arms.

"If you're attempting to waltz, let me tell you, you're doing terribly."

Tyrian placed a hand on his heart, gasping loudly. He glared at Arthur, a pout forming on his lips.

"How dare you!"

Arthur raised a brow skeptically. His muteness annoyed Tyrian, who put Larry on his shoulder and his hands on his hips.

"Well? Can you do any better?"

"I know I can."

Tyrian smirked, gently bringing Larry back to his tank.

"Then prove it."

"Excuse me?"

Tyrian spun gracefully, stopping in front of Arthur, holding his hand out dramatically.

He wiggled his eyebrows.

"Dance with me."

Arthur blinked. But he sighed, taking Tyrian's hand.

He stood.

"I can't believe I'm agreeing to this."

"I can't either."

"Oh, shut up."

"Shutting up now."

The first song came to an end. So they simply stood there, waiting for the next to play.

Arthur sighed through his nose, his face growing warm. He decided to stare at his shoes in the meantime.

"I'm never going to live this down, am I?"

"Nope."

Arthur gingerly took Tyrian's other hand and put it on his shoulder. His own hand found his partner's waist.

The song started.

And so they danced.

Arthur had the dance memorized from childhood, so he didn't need much focus. And to his surprise, neither did Tyrian. They could only stare at each other. As if waiting for the other to initiate something.

Dip him.

The thought itself brought butterflies to Arthur's stomach. Did he really have to feel this now? For him? Of all the people he could've..

What other people?

Everyone else mocked him. Tyrian understood him. In his own zany way, he did. Since the day they met, Tyrian knew how Arthur felt about getting fired. Yet he didn't mock him. He respected what he wanted to do. He related to it even.

The momentum of the music heightened.

Dip him now!

And so he did.

Tyrian clearly wasn't expecting that. His chest tightened. Couldn't think properly. Just.. Woah.

A pause. Then—

".. Wanna go out some time?"

Arthur's blood rushed to his cheeks. Despite the music moving on, the question seemed to freeze time around them.

Tyrian wiggled his eyebrows, his expression blank. It brought a small smile to Arthur's face.

"Very well."

I do . you're just HATE . fills with HATE . for no reasons . and i do know these people didn't liked me to follow someone for some reasons . you're "protecting" that someone . i can read people tbh in reality . plus you're really "LOUD" about it . looking as if i'm a monster or something . why ? because i have swords ? or due to my past ? and meanwhile you filled with HATE . i am most likely to FILLED with RAGE . hate is such a strong word . you don't know me that well in reality . i know you don't like me . you're talking and facing me anyway . you don't face anyone . you're facing ME . don't misunderstood how "lonely" i am or hidden i am or etc . you don't know people irl . you're basically hate via screen . you didn't face someone behind that screen yet . irl . you can mock behind online or those anon and i will not forget that . it shows what you are in the inside in reality . guess you're treating everyone you seen even irl like this too , yes ? accusing . judging . assuming . mocking . hating . you see someone then you immediately hate on everyone irl you see not just via online . that's what you do till the end of time . you seen via surface not by in the inside or behind it . and i do know you wouldn't let me be closed to that someone whether via online or anywhere . you don't like me and you don't like it . hate much i guess . you don't know someone or anyone yet and you already hates and dislikes much for unknown or no reasons . blinded by hates whether with and without it . just hates . wow , these people are childish and weird i swear to god . i'm no correct neither . but , why . you no worth for me anyway . you can take what ever you wanted . i owe you nothing anyway . these heartache people are just simply waste my time . they're wasting everyone's that they wanted to make that people fall , time . that's all . i just wanted to be with who ever i wanted . that worth time and more . not someone who's wants to hurt for no reasons . not because of reasons but rather with no reasons towards me and others . you're weird . these people are weird . haters are weird . they saw something and they hates . in both ways , whether in good and bad ways for no reasons . i'm probably dark inside but i guess i know how to differentiate things . i usually hate for reasons. you hate for no reasons . that's what you are . it feels like , you're coming to someone house for no reasons and you look at something or someone then, you immediately say "i really am hate you" at everyone inside that house with glare and pointing at me or anyone and throwing their things also hating them and all and then bring chaos for no reasons and left after making such mess up in sudden and no reasons . like wtf . stfu ? these haters made it all up, due to that "hate" . because you don't like me or others or anyone . because of that unknown or no reasons . for no reasons . that's what other people and i see actually . these people didn't realized . no kidding .

Black Dial: The Drama

You've probably heard the latest news from the Q-pop world: L and Teddy are no longer in Black Dial.

Hmm, where shall I start?

***Disclaimer: For the convenience of the foreign fans who aren't sure what has actually happened, I tried to recreate the sequence of events to get some exposition first. I've missed some details here and there, because this was already getting too long.***

It all began when the producers of YB Entertainment posted the announcement saying that the official Instagram accounts of L, Teddy, Ray and Black Dial were hacked, so from now on everything that's going to be posted on those pages has nothing to do with YB. "Okay, the pages got hacked, whatever, it happens, no big deal", I thought. BUT! After awhile I've noticed (first ever) IG stories posted on L's and Teddy's accounts with the actual L and Teddy recording each other while giddily saying something like "Did you know that we were hacked?" - "Lol, no, did we?" - "Yeah, they say we were hacked. I am hacked, you are hacked, comeback is hacked too, hahaha".

Obviously, everyone got even more confused, like, why the hell would the producers call the accounts hacked if they were obviously not. I mean those were real L and Teddy, right?

Meanwhile, I started to read some comments about L and Teddy and something about leaving the group, which got me a huge "Wait WHAT. WTF??? Are you bloody kidding me??" moment.

I obviously couldn't believe my eyes, because, what the hell, first Newton, now Black Dial, are you for real?? When I was about to start doubting these rumours while frantically looking for more info, there came interviews from the official press conference by YB Entertainment.

There, Yesbolat Bedelkhan with Bayan and Bota Yerimbet have formally announced that Yeskeldi Quandyq, formerly known as L, and Samat Kazmaganbet, formerly known as Teddy, were no longer the members of Black Dial, that the company had terminated their contracts, the main reason being consistent violation of the contractual terms by the former members. Moreover, according to the producers, the stage names "L" and "Teddy" and all the social media accounts belong to YB Entertainment and they cannot be used by the members should the contract be terminated.

To say I was shocked is to say nothing. Because, apparently, L and Teddy have not just left the group - they were kicked out. Not only that, they basically kicked themselves out by consistently showing insubordination, disobedience, and violation of terms in many occasions. Without feeling much remorse about it too, it seems, as they didn't look very sad on those Instagram stories - that's for sure.

To make the matter worse, they had no rights to use those Instagram accounts anymore, which explained the earlier announcement about "hacking".

Frankly, that was a lot to take in, and while I was desperately trying to make sense out of whatever was happening out there, all hell let loose. Interestingly - on the producers. Because a horde or rather a flock of angry fangirls or "Ravens" started to shout accusations at the producers, blaming them in all deadly sins. According to them, it was all producers' fault, because they intentionally kicked their "biases" out; how did they dare to be so unfairly strict with them; they were shitty producers in the first place; they should have made their comeback sooner instead of postponing it; the whole "hacking" incident was made to sabotage the members' reputations, and their beloved L and Teddy did the right thing leaving this horrible company.

As for me, these accusations sounded too heated and not very convincing especially when I took a step back and started to actually think about it.

Well, let's break it down, shall we?

First of all, the question of fairness seems super childish, because we're talking about actual legal binding contracts, not some sandbox tantrums that can be resolved by shoving lollipops in kids' mouths. If one signed a contract, it is assumed that both of the parties were aware of and agreed to all of the terms in the first place. In other words, if you in a sober mind signed a legal document, complaining about stuff that you can't eventually commit to afterwards won't work. Why the hell one would even sign a contract in the first place then?

Secondly, do you really think the contract was that strict? Okay, stricter than, idk, a contract signed by the guys from 91? I do very much doubt it. I'm more than sure Yerbolat isn't that chill and understanding compared to his younger brother.

Thirdly, Black Dial is the only active project of YB Entertainment (Darrem doesn't really count) aka literally the company's only flagship product that was supposed to get its long-awaited comeback. Think about it: who the hell in their right minds, in such a crucial moment, would kick out members from the only existing group without a legitimate reason? No one. And there was one reason, a few actually, wasn't there? Moreover, according to Yesbolat Bedelkhan, they've tried very hard to keep the group intact, to smooth out those cases of disobedience and insubordination, closing their eyes to most of them. But I guess, the situation got completely out of control, so terminating the contracts was the last resort.

Fourthly, haven't you thought that the comeback was being postponed over the course of, what, 9 months? exactly because of the internal problems and conflicts inside BD and YB? What if the producers weren't sure if they could proceed should have the said members continued to "misbehave". Which they apparently did, so better cut ties earlier than later, with only one MV, and one more released song.

Next, the "hacking" incident. According to Yesbolat Bedelkhan, sometime around February 14, when BD was supposed to record a video to mark the date, L and Teddy have completely disappeared from radar, not answering anyone's calls and/or messages. The producers even tried to reach their parents at some point, to ask if everything was alright with the boys. Strangely, the parents were not reachable as well, because apparently they have changed their contacts too. Later, the producers discovered that they couldn't access official IG accounts of L, Teddy, Ray and Black Dial, because someone changed their passwords. I suppose it was then they guessed it was L and Teddy's doings, which I assume was the final blow.

Finally, Yesbolat believes that someone from outside have persuaded the boys to sabotage their own places at YB Entertainment. A certain someone with a personal grudge against YB producers. I have my guesses and I won't be surprised if this someone will collaborate with those two at some point in the future too.

Show business sucks, doesn't it.

Don't get me wrong, by making a case for YB Entertainment, I don't want to imply that Yeskeldi and Samat are inherently bad people or anything. Okay, I must admit I had my problems with Teddy and tbh wasn't very sad to know he has left the group (yeah, I'm crude), but I did respect L very much, coming to admire his capacity for songwriting when I took on that challenge at translating their songs (Bul Soni Yemes is a lyrical masterpiece. Period.), regarding him as a very thoughtful young man. Despite personal preferences, I didn't want anyone to leave the group in any circumstances, always hoping and betting on them to settle at least on the second place in Q-pop.

In other words, waking up to a news like this has brought me no pleasure. Further unfolding only left a bitter taste in the mouth and the feeling that you were viciously played.

However, I do still think that it was, pardon my French, totally a dick move to leave everyone and everything just like that, without a decent explanation, a formal apology to the fans at the very least. Leaving by making a public drama out of it, while openly gloating in the social media, abandoning the company, the producers and the other members who counted on them so much.

Was it fair? I think not.

I do wish them luck in whatever they're planning to do though, just to see if it was actually worth the drama, huh.

And I do certainly wish the best of luck to YB Entertainment, to the producers and the remaining vocalists in remedying the whole situation, so to speak.

And what now? Yes, YB is having their casting in search for their new rappers and everything, but what does it tell about the whole "Q-pop movement"?

It's impaled, sick and haven't even grown out legs to stand upright and move properly. People are leaving the groups whenever they want, groups changing the label companies however they want, the entertainment centres are opening and closing at flick of the fingers, and we only have about eh.. 3.5 groups who are actually doing something now? With Black Dial on the resting bed, those would be Ninety One, Mad Men, Moonlight and sort of Newton~. Considering that I'm already very cautious with the latter, skeptical with the second, and Moonlight just doesn't excite me very much, we're coming to the default settings of just clinging to the founders for now while just observing everyone else from the distance.
