I see your Raeda found families and raise you: Raeda blended family.

It’s not quiet or peaceful, but there’s something calming about the aura of the house. It’s warm, welcoming. A little corner of the world that shelters them all for a little while.

The boys are napping on the couch. King is curled into a ball on Derwin’s pillow, perched on top of his head like a cat. Occasionally his tail twitches in his sleep. Derwin looks incredibly peaceful, with his arms crossed and his glasses perched precariously on the tip of his nose. Their breathing is almost perfectly in sync, and it seems as though they’d be content to sleep there together for the rest of the night.

Katya and Luz are sprawled out on the living room floor together, giggling over a typewriter. The pair had been overjoyed to reunite at a rebellion meeting (leading an embarrassed Katya to explain that she’d ended up in the Conformatorium long before joining the BATTS). Now that the Day of Unity was past, they’d formed a close friendship- so close that Eda sometimes jokingly called them her twins. Once, Raine had been tiptoeing up to bed and had stumbled on the girls, asleep in what Luz called a ‘pillow fort’ in front of the crystal ball. It had made them smile, watching them dozing in their fort in front of a cheesy rom-com- for it meant that their kids could finally be just that. (They would have taken a picture, too, if Eda hadn’t promptly tripped over Luz’s outstretched foot and brought the whole fort down.)

Eda herself is in the kitchen, cooking some kind of odd pastry-encased log of meat and vegetables that Luz had begged her for. Amber is flitting around her, chattering away about the latest Grudgby game at her school. The girl makes an attempt to swipe a bit of the dough, earning herself a playful swat from Eda, and Raine pretends not to see when she promptly pinches off a bite herself and sneaks a second to a giggling Amber.

Raine is sitting at the kitchen table, a small smile on their face. They’re content to sit and watch their family (their family) spending time together. It’s something wonderful, something beautiful. The kind of loving family that they’d always dreamed about but never thought they’d get to have (especially not with her).

And life, for the first time in a long time, is good.

SCREAM. i was actually talking to my partners about EXACTLY THIS the other day, because like. god. an ao3 commenter (if you're on tumblr too lmk) mentioned that once luz becomes empress, lilith will For Sure approach her and ask her to heal eda's curse. WHICH HAS MADE ME !!!!!!! FOR DAYSSSS

like. luz has No Fucking Idea how to do that, but

1) she wants to keep lilith on her side, since Not Alienating The Leader Of The Emperor's Coven is a pretty solid priority

2) she has to maintain the illusion that the titan "chose" her (while unaware that.... honestly the titan IS choosing her. not because of belos but just on her own merit. the titan can however only do so much)

3) she already plans to build bridges & mend fences with wild witches as one of the first steps toward dismantling the entire coven system... so why NOT work with the most wanted woman in the isles?? eda is symbolic of resistance and her wisdom might help luz fast-track the changes she wants

so i just imagine like. luz shows up at the owl house with lilith to extend a peace offering & eda is immediately just like "LMAOOOOOOO YOU WISHHHHH. DIE" and slams the door on both of them. because of how eda is as a person

and then RAINE comes over without any prompting on luz's part like "okay. look. i know we're estranged and you have no reason to care about my opinion anymore. but the empress is not like the emperor. can you Please hear her out"

eda: i really feel like you're being mind controlled rn. and i can't tell if it's the whole pro-empire thing or the talking-to-eda thing that's freaking me out worse

raine: oh for FUCK'S-

eventually after some testy back-and-forth eda's like "fine. i will let her inside to have a conversation. ONCE"

then she and luz end up talking for well over an hour & when luz finally emerges, raine is like ".....how did it go??"

eda: she's....... nice.

raine: and that's..... a bad thing??

eda: it's fine. she's fine. like i said. she's nice

Anyone remember the Mama Eda AU?

It was an AU I had back in the fandom's infancy where Eda is Luz's biological mother and Luz ends up in the human realm. That inspired this comic originally.

Since canon has changed so much, this AU is EXTREMELY non-compliant now, so if ya"ll want to think of this as a "Good" AU where Raine and Eda never broke up then be my guest.

Name: Thunder Whispers

Family: Raine Whispers (Nini, I've seen it quite a few fics), Eda Clawthorne (Mother), Amber, Katya and Derwin (Siblings).

Place of residence: The BATs hideout with the rest of the BATs and Raine.

Type of magic: Bard

Job: Bard magic teacher at Hexside

My AU with Thunder!

Thunder is the child of Raine Whispers and Eda Clawthorne. Raine breaks up with Eda. About a week later they find out they are pregant with Eda's child. The baby is a blessing from the titan as the titan liked Raine and didn't want them to be alone. Raine pushes back joining the bard coven until their child is born. But Raine found out about the corruption and decided that thye would still join but rebel at the same time. Whren Thunder is born, Raine then starts teaching at the coven.

When Thunder was 5 her and Raine create her Palisman. They carve the peacock and name him Alto. Alto and Fiddlesticks get along very well.

A few years later, Raine adopts Amber (15), Katya (18) and Derwin(19). They all meet a 16 year old Thunder and adore her. Thunder pracisces bard magic but decides she doesn't want to join the bard coven. The children go to Raine with the idea of the BATs. Raine agrees to be the leader while Thunder makes the plans and is their main startagist.

At the age of 17, they graduate and Bump asks her to teach Bard magic at the school. Thunder agrees and decides not to join a coven. Raine is very proud. When Luz joined the bard track she decides to speak to her teacher. Luz tell's Thunder that she looks like the good witch Azura. Luz also sid ementions that she looks like Eda a bit, esspecily the eyes. Now Thunder knows Eda is her mama, Raine didn't want to keep that a secret from her.

Eda doesn't meet Thunder until they CATs rescue her and Luz. Luz would be in shock that her bard teacher is part of a rebellion. Eda is in major shock that the girl looks like both her and Raine. Eda pulls Raine aside and asks about Thunder. Raine explains and says they even sent Eda letters. Eda would be mad at herself becuase she burned the letters.

Thunder fights with the kids and get's chucked in the human realm. Thunder decides to write a paper on how music can mainpulate others. They end up acciently getting a phD. Thunder and Hunter get close and finds out that Hunter is Transfem amd likes to go by Luna (I love that AU and wanted to combine it). Everything else in season 3 happened the same but Thunder is their.

When it is all over, Raine, Thunder and the BATs move into the owl house and Thunder starts to call Eda, Mama.

Tmnt Owl house AU something something (mostly based on 2012)

For things to make sense some mutants ain't mutants, they're witches and not demons until i say so. Well except one of em, one of em is human.

Shredder is Belos and Splinter is Caleb but instead of Shredder killing Splinter for falling in love with a witch and wanting to stay in the demon realm he kills him because he's also in love with the same witch, which is Shen taking the place of Evelyn.

With a lot of consideration, i was really debating on whether or not to make Karai take Hunter's place but i found a perfect place for her. She's Eda the Owl Lady... Or more like Karai the snake lady. She's still connected to Shen and Splinter in a way. She's a wild witch and the self proclaimed strongest witch in the boiling isles. She's cursed by the Snake Beast, which is why i made her Eda since she can shift between two forms in the show.

Chompy in this is taking King's place and you guessed it, the boiling isles is Tokka, Chompy's mama. He's still pretty much a turtle.

They have their own version of hooty which is hissy lol very creative.

Venus is gonna be Lilith in this. Even though she doesn't exist in 2012 i want to use her cuz why not. Her attitude is basically the same as lilith in a sense.

Oh and Shini is Raine.

I was debating really hard on who gets to be Luz and I was thinking of Leo and Mikey, but for this I chose Leo. He seems the type. Mikey has a lot of imagination for sure, but Leo is the same obsessed as Luz is.

He's just a normal japanese kid that's just a bit too weird and obsessed with his fantasies. Not in the same level as Luz is though, more in the lines of not being able to socialize properly because people think he's weird for it. He's fine with that until he was sent to reality check summer camp in order to make friends. I don't know who can be his parent though, I was thinking it would still be Splinter, he's just a descendant of the Saki brothers that coincidentally takes the name Hamato (which is Karai's surname).

Leo appeared in the boiling isles after he watched Miwa, Karai's snake palisman drag his book away and decided to stay to learn magic like he only ever dreamed of. He's as enthusiastic as Luz is but is a bit hesistant in getting into trouble until him and his new friends from hexsude accidentally animated the house. He's still pretty much a worrier and took it upon himself to help out as much as possible.

Karai won't admit it but she's getting soft on the kid.

I have been thinking hard on it but i was able to figure a few things out.

Donnie takes Amity's place, and obviously there's no shipping. I would've put April here but honestly she doesn't really fit. He is adopted. His dad is Dr. Rockwell and Donnie took his name last name. Donnie's still in the Abomination track like Amity but he wants to learn more about other tracks so he learns in secret. I was also thinking Odalia can be replaced by Falco because... Ya know what happened between him and Falco.

Anyways.

Donnie's personality starts off as cold and a bit too obsess when it comes to being at the top, but his true personality shows through qith his interests in human technology, which he wishes to indulge with since he was younger. Leo befriends him and he slowly gets back to the Donnie we all know and love. Karai even gives their human junk for him to tinker if he wants to. He pretty much uses his abomination goo to form a staff instead of monsters from time to time and he's damn well good with it until he gets his palisman, which is a spiny soft shell turtle.

Then we have Mikey, who's split between being Gus and being Willow. He's definitely Gus most of the time. In here he's Donnie's childhood friend but they had a falling out due to Falco's meddling. He's just as obsessed in humans as Donnie, but more obsessed with the mundane side like their shows and comics. We deviate from the show because he's in the potions track and he's damn well good in it as well. He started in the Abominations track to follow Donnie but in the end he transfers tracks after realizing that chasing Donnie was not worth it now that he had a friend in Leo. Donnie and Mikey will get along eventually. He may not be all thay useful in a fight but he uses potions in small easy to shatter vials that work like Leo's glyphs if thrown hard enough. His palisman is a ornate box turtle.

Leatherhead adopted Mikey as well!!

Another person that's split between being Willow and Gus is our queen Mona Lisa. I really want Raph to give her that nickname but it has to be Leo and she's happy to be given a human nickname. She's part of the Plant Coven and is pretty darn powerful in it. She's a year older than Mikey and Donnie, around April and Casey's age and is like a big sister figure to Mikey ever since him and Donnie's little spat. Everything goes well in the end when the two get along. Her palisman is a blue and black spotted salamander.

The emerald entrails still happen, with April and Casey taking place of Skara and Viney in the team along with Mona and Mikey.

And oh boy here we are.

Raph.

The Golden Guard... Or the Crimson Guard.

A grimwalker of Splinter, Shredder's brother, he's the youngest Crimson Guard ever and the most like him, except for the bright green eyes. He's basically overconfident and cocky under that red mask of his, he's the symbol of fear for the Emperor, a soldier meant to enforce the Titan's will. A strong figure that proves that wild witches' days of running free are numbered.

But under all that is a bad but mad boy who is angry at the world because the Emperor told him to. Under all that is a child with bright eyes and the love for nature. An absolute dork that talked to birds that passed by his room, a kid obsessed with the idea of freedom, of wild magic he know he can't wield. And look! A palisman chose him! An alligator snapping turtle that was oh so protective. But because he's so much like him the Emperor placed higher standards on his shoulders. So he needs to be mad, he needs to be angry, for the Titan's will, to make his Uncle proud, and to insure a future where it stops hurting.

He's going to realize that his future doesn't belong with a fraud.

It belongs with Leo's gentle comfort, Mikey's laughter, and Donnie's endless ramblings.

If it weren't for the fact that he's a clone of a dead man, or that Mikey and Donnie don't know who their real parents are, or the fact that Leo was human, he swears that maybe in another life they're brothers.

And as his whole worldview crashes down reveal after reveal...

Leo says that they're brothers and that's when Raph knew he's done being someone's puppet.

The amount of Swap AU potential the Owl House is great actually, like I could talk for hours about the possibilities.

Eda's generation swap? Beautiful. The Raeda content. Eda and Lilith being even deeper rivals than before (with Golden Guard Lilith). Odalia just being a 13 year old bitch. I love it.

Basic Lumity swap? Incredible. I love dorky human Amity and jock-bully Witch Luz

Luz and Hunter swap? Breathtaking, dramatic. We love chaotic Uncle Belos and Twisted Mama Eda

Adoptive Parent and their Adoptive Child swap? Amazing. Creative. Unique. What I wouldn't give for Harpy Luz and Emperor Hunter. For Human Witch Eda and Golden Guard Philip. Absolutely astounding.

Dissimilar Twins AU

What if Vee escaped Belos's grasp years before Luz's arrival in the demon realm? What if after her escape she sneaked inside Eda's portal/ fell inside Titan's blood pool and ended up in the human realm? What if Camila, Manny, and an 8-10-year-old Luz found her?

Remember this post? Well, since a certain someone (@zombibble) already took the idea and is making their own story with said premise, I decide to give it a twist! resulting in this new story I'm present you over here. Althrought I have many plans for this AU I'm currently busy with other stories so for the moment enjoy this little taste of what is to come...

Her half-sleep-awake state went to a sudden halt upon hearing something. hard to say exactly what, at first it sounded like a single step then… nothing.

It was 2 Am. Mama and Papa should be sleeping. Which only means that…

...Someone is robbing us? Luz thought, unsure of the true source of the sound or where it originated, she could hear and feel her instincts instructing her to remain quiet.

She hesitated to make a move, maybe it was just Mister Toledo, that raccoon, for whatever reason, liked to hang out around her home's backyard. Or maybe she just imagine everything-!

*Creak*

It wasn’t her imagination, that old creaking wood slab between the kitchen and the living room…

There is someone inside the house.

She knew Mama and Papa would tell her to stay in her room, where she would be safe while they deal with whatever was downstairs. So she waited, seconds turned into minutes, but nothing more happened. But what if the house was being robbed? Mama just started working at the animal hospital, so she always came back home exhausted late at night, and Papa, while now working from home, still needed to follow the doctor's orders and rest as much as possible.

More sounds, this time, it was the recognizable screech of one of the kitchen cabinets.

It was Luz's turn to support the family, for once, she will be the responsible one!

"Nada funcionara, amenos que lo hagas funcionar" time to follow Mama's example!

She slowly creep out of bed, took her favorite yet only bat, and started her descent downstairs. Her descent was slow, each step carefully planned to make as much sound as a feather. No lights were lit, so as to not alert the intruder who sounds like be thrashing around the kitchen. She could barely make up the silhouette of the figure, now opening cabinet after cabinet, sniffing whatever they got their hands on, and placing them inside the bag they carried- oh! And They are wearing a cloak? mysterious...

Finally arriving at the living room and getting a closer peek at the enigmatic person... they looked small, like, really small, almost as small as her! Their size caught her off guard because she was hoping for a malandro (criminal) she could knock out cold and drag their unconscious body to Mama and Papa. they would be so proud!

But what if they are just a kid? but... entering someone's house without permission was still a crime so -Then the wood beneath her creaked, a single foot slightly sinking the slab located between the kitchen and living room.

The sound alerted the intruder, and their eyes instantly lock on Luz.

From within their cloak, a set of ample, weirdly contorted eyes stare back at her, their eyeballs were a mixture of blue and yellow tones, seemingly burning through the shadows of the night.

Time froze for the both of them and although Luz tried to keep her composure, all of her initial bravado evaporated. The grip on the bat loosened with each passing second. Her body shivered under the gaze of what it has now realized wasn't an intruder... or human, but an animal-

-A predator

Luz tried to flee, but each step backward was painfully slow, her body came to the realization that it now carried the weight of something delicate and invaluable.

That thing being her own life

The human didn't dare to stop looking at the creature which followed all her movements with unbreakable focus. It wasn't until it decide to shorten the distance between them that Luz discovered what lay underneath the cloak- A claw decorated with shining black talons came out and was coming for her-!

Luz let go of her bat and screamed.
