I want you to know that Lumity is adorable and their cuteness gives me life...

But THIS is so much more amazing to me.

They were separated for years due to things not turning out as they’ve planned, only to now have a moment like this. A moment where they snuggle and just...be. It’s peaceful, it’s adorable, and it’s...perfect.

My favourite couple in the show- wish Raine had more screen time T-T

I see your Raeda found families and raise you: Raeda blended family. 

It’s not quiet or peaceful, but there’s something calming about the aura of the house. It’s warm, welcoming. A little corner of the world that shelters them all for a little while. 

The boys are napping on the couch. King is curled into a ball on Derwin’s pillow, perched on top of his head like a cat. Occasionally his tail twitches in his sleep. Derwin looks incredibly peaceful, with his arms crossed and his glasses perched precariously on the tip of his nose. Their breathing is almost perfectly in sync, and it seems as though they’d be content to sleep there together for the rest of the night. 

Katya and Luz are sprawled out on the living room floor together, giggling over a typewriter. The pair had been overjoyed to reunite at a rebellion meeting (leading an embarrassed Katya to explain that she’d ended up in the Conformatorium long before joining the BATTS). Now that the Day of Unity was past, they’d formed a close friendship- so close that Eda sometimes jokingly called them her twins. Once, Raine had been tiptoeing up to bed and had stumbled on the girls, asleep in what Luz called a ‘pillow fort’ in front of the crystal ball. It had made them smile, watching them dozing in their fort in front of a cheesy rom-com- for it meant that their kids could finally be just that. (They would have taken a picture, too, if Eda hadn’t promptly tripped over Luz’s outstretched foot and brought the whole fort down.) 

Eda herself is in the kitchen, cooking some kind of odd pastry-encased log of meat and vegetables that Luz had begged her for. Amber is flitting around her, chattering away about the latest Grudgby game at her school. The girl makes an attempt to swipe a bit of the dough, earning herself a playful swat from Eda, and Raine pretends not to see when she promptly pinches off a bite herself and sneaks a second to a giggling Amber. 

Raine is sitting at the kitchen table, a small smile on their face. They’re content to sit and watch their family (their family) spending time together. It’s something wonderful, something beautiful. The kind of loving family that they’d always dreamed about but never thought they’d get to have (especially not with her). 

And life, for the first time in a long time, is good. 

A thrill of excitement surged through Eda’s body. She was going to get to see Raine perform a solo! That they wrote! And up there in their tuxedo tails with their hair, which always reminded Eda of the Boiling Sea, neatly combed, they looked so cute– Eda felt her own cheeks warm as she tamped down that thought, biting her bottom lip and wrapping her arms around herself. She grasped the sleeves of her Grudgby jacket as she waited for Raine to start playing. So what if they were cute? She was attending this concert as a supportive friend and their cuteness was in no way relevant!

The sound of fidgeting around her, loud in the stark silence of the paranoratorium, distracted her from her own thoughts and she looked around, noticing growing impatience in the audience. Was it normal for soloists to pause for this long before starting?

Summary: Eda was in total awe of her best friend’s musical talent! Which was why she was not expecting their performance with the Hexside Student Orchestra to be quite so disastrous. Luckily, in her brilliance, she came up with the perfect way to make Raine feel better and get to hear their solo: a private concert just for her! At their house. Alone. And Titan, she was just realizing that she had a huge crush on Raine and nothing to wear to this weird not-date and with the Emperor’s Coven tryouts looming, this suddenly felt like an urgent time to find out if Raine liked her back.

They dont know what to do with her…
