I don’t think her abilities really work that way but for months now I have been dreaming of an alternate version of the succubus extra where Madam Meiyin takes Liu Qingge’s palm instead of Shen Qingqiu’s and she goes quiet for a few seconds and then says super casually “How old are you, my dear?” and he tells her and she’s like “Well. I must say this is a new one in all my years of—YOU SHOULD BE DEAD, OKAY? WHY AREN’T YOU DEAD?”
and Liu Qingge is like “Well how the fuck would I know?“ and Shen Qingqiu is sitting there like. Oh. Oh I know why.

Two Days
Two Days follows the story of Seraphine, a woman who regularly sees the fortune-teller Madame Ramona to keep her company. Though Madame Ramona constantly gives her advice on the future, Seraphine refuses to believe any of her "visions", and takes the ultimate gamble to find truth when Madame Ramona predicts her death.

Two Days - Like clouds before the heavy rains.
Excerpt:
"Seraphine," said the fortune teller slowly.
"It's just Sera." She gave a strained smile.
"The fates do not know you like that. Your God does not know you like that. Seraphine." Though her words were firm, the name was drawn out, gentle, and it somehow reminded Sera of the wind blowing through a lonely spring countryside.
Yet she still held back an eye roll.

On a different note, shoutout to the chain of bookstores “París-Valencia” because those stores have just saved my ass thanks to their abundance of Frev and Napoleonic novels. Sure, most of them are in Spanish but I will take this victory nonetheless.
For example, just stumbled upon a book by Anne Perry that centers around saving the royal family and naturally features a young protagonist who is connected to a famous figure (according to the premise, it’s Mme. de Staël this time). Sounds like a fun shitshow…
Edit: So apparently I got two different books mixed up. One is about saving the king and another one features a protagonist working for the Turban Toad ™️.

Finally watched “Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre”. (Just some very light spoilers ahead)
It’s not Guy Ritchie’s best, but it was still a lot of fun. I always love to see Jason Statham.
Aubrey Plaza was an absolute delight -as usual. I loved her Sarah.
I’m quite happy to see Josh Hartnett back on screen.
And Hugh Grant was fucking priceless, not only as the ‘bad guy’ (That fucking ‘you are going to pay me’ speech was perfection), but also as a fanboy.
Danny (Josh Hartnett) was ready to give his body and he did indeed... lol

The Fortune Cookie Quartet is live!
This bundle contains four of the Six Sapphic Stories written by Madam Aurora Vespertine.
They were published under her pen name Bianca Gamble to avoid conflict with the people the characters were based on, as she drew inspiration from people watching in the Crossroads Cafe.
Now, these books reside in the attic of her home in Averton, long forgotten by most. There are a few other copies that linger, though.
Perhaps you can find a copy, tucked away in the Amazon rainforest - brought there by an adventurous shifter - or lost in a Ream of stories that never made it out of the printing warehouse.
