my lucifer headcanons

note: these are just my own head canons. things i’ve noticed, how i write lucifer, what plays into why i write luce the way i do… etc. purely my own opinion.

- i think michael was very fond of his brother

- when the time came though to listen to dad and fulfill his duty or be a brother to lucifer michael chose duty

- the betrayal is still a sore spot for lucifer

- during lucifer’s “youth” he was curious, always dreaming up incredible creations… it was why he was dads favorite.

- he made the star fish, “because the sea deserves its own stars!” and he also made the duck. the ducks first iteration was quite a bit larger… lucifer and god compromised on a smaller duck. (more like god bribed lucifer.)

- he watched adam be made…. so he was always fond of him and lilith… until he fell in love with lilith…

- he didn’t realize it was love

- but michael knew and michael was scared. so he would draw lucifer away from the garden every chance he got

- lucifer was very naive when he was cast down to hell. he knew so much, he had been alive for so long, but there was so much life experience he didn’t have.

- the first few years in hell were horrible…

- he had hope at first

- maybe it all wouldn’t be so bad

- it was really bad. like really bad. the people who came down to hell were unspeakable devils

- (this is based off a fic i read and i can’t find it, if this rings any bells pls let me know the fic name) but lucifer is continuously appalled and distraught by the atrocities committed in his name.

- it’s one of the reasons he so powerful. he has the angelic power but also the power from those who worship him and make sacrifices for him

he really hates it. a lot. makes him feel no better than the worse overlord (cough alastor cough)

- charlie has no idea and she’ll never know if he can help it

- lucifer smells like apples and vanilla musk, a hint of cinnamon and something floral or citrusy.

- the floral or citrus changes depending on his mood

- he has a huge library. he actually pops up to earth with Asmodeous sometimes and takes books.

- he saved the whole Library of Alexandria’s books before it burned down

- he’s great friends with all the sins

- arguably closest with Beelzebub and Asmodeous

- he loves claw machines. the lights, the sounds, the prize winning???? he’s so fucking happy

- he actually wears glasses to read. he doesn’t need them but he says they make him look smarter.

- is actually a pretty good leader, is not nearly as forgiving as charlie is, but he’s not inherently cruel

- his third favorite color is pink

- his first and second are yellow and red, obviously

- he has expensive ass, maximalist taste.

- he doesn’t use tech because he knows what vox does to said tech.

- he’s always wanted a dog

- he’s very touchy. shows love physically. is only this way if he likes you though

- he has nightmares almost every night

- coffee addict

- because after not sleeping he wakes up looking like death warmed over

- and that’s if he didn’t forget to eat the past few days except for random snacks and didn’t do a 48 hour blitz of staying up working on ducks or the bit of kingdom shit he does.

- he has a handful of servants who he trusts and they are the only one in the house. there’s no team. nothing like that. he keeps it very close

- this was after someone who was a servant tried to throw an angelic dagger at his head because really they wanted to kill him and thought working for him would get them close enough.

- he homeschooled charlie. he knows a lot of stuff and even knew the guy who created calculus!

Winged characters in Hazbin Hotel have so much potential.

Charlie and Vaggie are getting ✨spicy✨ and Charlie tries to lean against Veggies back to touch her or whatever and all of a sudden-

WOOSH

She just flings Charlie across the room by accident because she was excited and she's forgotten that she has to control how they move.

Or Husk accidently knocking over all the bottles on the shelf behind the bar because he just kind of forgets how big they are.

Or Zestial using his wings to wrap Carmilla and the girls in to protect them from the acid rain. The four of them are out and it starts raining a little bit and the three girls just end up under his wings. Like it's no big deal, they're just there now.

Alastor is bothering Lucifer, just being his general annoying self when Lucifer brings out all six of his wings, jumps up and throws a burst of air at Alastor, knocking him off his feet.

Valentino using his wings to protect Velvette from the wind when they go out so her hair doesn't get messed up.

Or covering Vox when it's windy so his screen doesn't get dusty.

Husk learning the beauty of having his wings preened and properly taken care of by Lucifer and Vaggie, who spent their lives around other winged people who know how to care for them.

Nifty making feather dusters out of Husk, Vaggie, and Lucifer feathers when they're molting. She makes brooms too. And feather clothes for her roaches to wear during her puppet shows.

Velvette making wing attire and modeling them on Val.

Zestial using his wings as a fan to cool himself off when it's hot.

Bee using her wings to dry off Tex when he gets out of the pool.

Verosika being the big spoon when she and Blitz were dating because she'd shift her wings in her sleep and they would scratch his chest.

Fat Nuggets using Husks wings as a blanket. Angel has tons of pictures of that, he loves them.

Adam and Lute wrapping their wings around each other.

Emily clinging to Sera's wings so her big sister will carry her places.

Lucifer letting Baby Charlie climb his wings.

Lucifer using his wings to hold Baby Charlie and Lilith close to him while they're sleeping.

Lucifer, as the Old Dragon

Lucifer, and all of his angels with him, had been punished by God to exist as a mindless, writhing mass with the bodies of those that survived melded with the corpses of so many that died on impact. Only Lucifer remained fully conscious and aware of himself, tortured by their fate and all the pain of the bodies he was now attached to. Seeing the divine but formless mass, Hell was enchanted - in particular, it saw the beauty of Lucifer as its shining core, so radiant even in ashes, and so it made a body for him, for them. The first work coming as an unknowing collaboration between God and Hell, it crafted Lucifer into a great serpentine form - his halo it repurposed as a face, building up oil-slick skin and displaying Lucifer as its centerpiece in great joy. It grew into them, the walls and brutally frozen lake of Cocytus trapping them all as much as Michael's chains and lodged spear, while its own mass mingled with the bodies of angels. The remains of those lost now bleed eternally from its belly, failing to revive despite Hell's best efforts.

Head Canon/Theory Part 11: Angelic forms

Continuing with the thread that Carmilla is a Seraphim, sister of Lucifer and Sera…here I have another point that would contribute to my concept, and that makes a lot of sense to me.

Sera's angelic form

To begin with, we know that both Sera and Emily wear "humanized" costumes when introducing themselves to Charlie and Vaggie, but if we look closely at their true form…Sera has a particular design.

Her angelic form is very similar to an Owl, a White Owl like the one seen in the photograph.

We must take into account that Owls are associated with wisdom and intelligence, since they are capable of capturing a large amount of information even at night. Sera is the emissary, and like Serafin, she would be the "Eyes of God".

What better bird to represent her?

Lucifer's angelic form

Now, we know that Lucifer was also a Seraphin as he had three pairs of wings, but what is his true form? His obsession says it all, even the illustration in "More then anything"...A duck. But not the ugly duckling, a beautiful one full of dreams and hope.

Carmilla's Angelic form

Carmilla is characterized by her outfit, which simulates the clothing of ballet dancers. Her face has similarities to the "Black Swan" makeup, which some dancers adopted after the film of the same name.

Also, her colors are similar to those of this magnificent bird.

I can believe that when he lived as Seraphim, her color palette didn't differ from Sera's (at least not that much), being a White Swan. But when she fell, and was corrupted by the evil of hell, she changed and became the Black Swan.

Plus, why else could she called her daughter Odette as the protagonist of "Swan Lake"?

There are more ballet classics, like Carmen, The Magic Flute (Lise), Giselle…why Odette?

I just noticed that Charlie and Lucifer both have the same rainbow decoration thing. In the Sir Pentious episode, when Angel is showing that Sir Pentious put a camera in the book shelf, the decoration is on a side table. And then you can see one in Lucifer's workshop in the wall before he says "Take that depression!" Not a big thing, but kinda neat.

at least I... think it's a lamp? I hope it's a lamp, it'd be a pretty cool lamp

Ye! makes sense to me that the king and princess of hell would have a "map" (so to speak) of hell. I assume rulers of countries have a map of their country somewhere, so logically rulers of hell would have their equivalent of it

I believe the color represents the color of the sky from each ring. Pride ring is red, wrath is orange, gluttony is yellow, greed is green, Lust is blue, envy is purple and sloth is pink

Given that Charlie canonically has multiple overlords on her phone's contacts, it wouldn't surprise me if Lucifer has them too in addition to their little map of hell

Since you sent me this ask and I blew up on tumblr mainly cuz of my lucifer post let's make this cute and head canon that Lucifer gave Charlie his before getting a new one for himself. Maybe even in a moment of she showed slight interest in seeing it, and he just "Oh you like this?? Here you can have it! :D"

while we're here, while I was fishing for screenshots, I also saw this in Charlie's shelf

I want to go out on a limb and guess map of heaven?

I couldn't find a map of heaven in Lucifer's study tho, so (building from our shiny new head canon) either he gave the only one he had to Charlie and never bothered to get another one or he never had one to begin with and Charlie got it herself

These are some more headcanons <3

⭐- his Cg nickname is papa!

⭐- he would be a chaos cg! Who cares about rules! He doesn't! The only rules would be there to keep you safe!

⭐- your his prince(ss) so he will treat you with royalty!

⭐- he carries your drawings with him in his pockets.

⭐- he's old fashioned and has a wallet photo album and he would definitely show it off to praise you/show how adorable you are! (All filled with discrete pictures to be safe)

⭐- he is really dramatic! And it would always make you giggle

⭐- he's way to protective it's actually cute! He would make sure nothing sharp is near you and his heart always jumps whenever you trip a little or gets little to close to sharp corners

⭐-he would never talk you down when you get hurt and is always gentle. After he patches you up he would carry you (even if you feel all better)

⭐- when you babble he always responds with flare.

⭐-when you tell him drama from your stuff animals. He acts all offended like "how dare Mr. Sniffles push Mrs. Bunny!"and would ask if you wanted him to show them a lesson (which makes you giggle)

⭐- idk if I put this is part 1 but he spoils you.

⭐- he now sports painted nails thanks to you and he loves it!

⭐- in public he allows you to hold his hand(or finger) and finds its adorable

⭐- if someone is being mean to you he fiercely protests you then takes you out for ice cream

⭐- he would spoon feed you if you say please and don't stop asking him! (He rolls his eyes when he does so but has a tiny smile because he feels needed)

⭐- he would make sure you are always drinking water

⭐-if hes at work while you are small he would text you a lot! And he would tell you to do things! Like get dressed, eat, drink, and watch tv or color or play!

⭐- he would allow you to join him in pranking Dan (or if it's season 3 Marcus) but takes all the credit so you don't get any heat from it!

⭐- he would wear any friendship bracelets you make him even if it doesn't match his outfit because he knows it would make you sad if he doesnt

⭐- he loves to tell dad jokes and puns!

⭐- if he really needed someone to babysit you the people he would most prefer in order would be: Ella, Chloe, Linda, Maze, Amenadel

The fun thing about angels in Skyjacks is it's like your co worker or founder or mayor can be this Eldritch creature, that once wrote the laws of the universe and now they gotta get up and go to a job and complain about God or be forced to be molded by the world itself from belief and physical form. It's like lumens can be person's or creatures or an idea, but shaped by stories that never end, and usurped the top god place of that role of making up laws of the universe. I mean themes no gods, no kings, so on and so forth, but world building that is informed by story making is very fun.

Also Lucifer should be a barista somewhere. Personal head canon.

Larissa Weems Headcanons (SFW)

And a pinch of nsfw.

She would *love* to just hug you, especially from behind and at the waist.

When Larissa wants attention she wouldn’t ask because the blonde fears that you would be annoyed or she’s interrupting something. That’s when you come in to comfort and cuddle with her(or be a absolute whore.)

Every once in a while, Larissa would have anxiety/panic attacks. The blonde relies on you to help clear her mind.

Larissa would worry, a lot. From if you say “later,” but the time never comes, to planning and perfecting the Rave’in.

She loves when you wear a crop top, especially lace ones that give her imagination something to work with. Sometimes when you wear it, she gets so distracted that the blonde forgets that she was working on a important email.

"I don't remember the House of Lamentation having one of these," MC notes as they take in their surroundings. "Whose idea was it to put one here?"

"It was mine," I answer. "Barbatos helped me set everything up. All the equipment, the acoustics...it's all top-notch."

"By human world standards, or Devildom ones?" I've forgotten how observant they are. MC seems to enjoy taking in all sorts of information, even if it seems insignificant to other people. That's one of the things I like about them.

"According to the employee at DevTech--I mean, Best Buy--we have the top-of-the-line equipment, and the quality is comparable to some of ours." I hate that I keep swapping human world names with Devildom ones. I personally feel like I'm better than that.

"Have you guys used it yet?"

"Funny that you mention that, because we just started a zombie movie marathon last weekend."

"Was that your idea as well?" I nod my head.

"The idea of zombies has interested me for a while now. While there are diseases and curses that can induce a zombie-like state in demons, it's usually a temporary problem that can be solved with medicine. That doesn't seem to be the case with humans."

"Are you solely basing that on our movies?"

"Of course not. I've also read books."

"Fiction or non-fiction?" Oh, I'm about to blow their mind.

"Both, actually."

While the human world seems to focus on the fantastical elements of zombies, the Devildom has meticulously recorded all zombie outbreaks that have occurred throughout the centuries. You see, sometimes a human zombie accidentally stumbles in the Devildom, and we have to deal with that situation properly in order to prevent chaos.

While we've certainly dealt with the stereotypical zombies--the ones that are slow-moving, crave brains, and are more or less dead--those aren't the only ones that we've come across. Some are capable of sprinting, others aren't too keen on brains, and there's even those that appear perfectly fine on the outside but have some kind of parasite in their brain that's making them carry out orders with no thought whatsoever.

Although, sometimes the parasite doesn't have a physical form and is instead created as a result of rather intense brainwashing.

"I see," MC states once I've completed my mini lecture. "Somehow, that's never come up in any of my classes."

"That's because you've only taken general knowledge ones. RAD offers majors, and with those comes specific classes for particular areas of study. Although, in order to declare a major, you have to prove that you have a solid understanding of the fundamentals first, since you might get pulled to teach a class or two."

"Has that ever happened to you guys?"

"Lucifer and I are the only ones out of our bunch that have declared a major. Belphie's been offered, but he doesn't want to deal with the responsibility of teaching, so he just takes whatever interests him. The others simply haven't proven themselves yet. Levi struggles with attendance, and Beel has difficulty concentrating. As for Mammon and Asmo, I think they're content with where they're at right now, so they're not going to push themselves too hard."

"What do you and Lucifer major in?"

"He does potions and curses. I focus on history and literature. Somehow, despite my sin, I tend to be a more patient teacher than him. At least, that's what I've heard from other students."

"That's really interesting." MC appears deep in thought. "Do you think I could major in something?"

Honestly, I don't know how to answer that question, mainly because we've never had beings outside the Devildom attend RAD before Diavolo implemented the exchange program. It wouldn't surprise me if he did allow MC and the others to declare a major eventually, but I don't know how long that would take. Would MC be alive by then? Or be in a good physical and mental state to take in additional knowledge, let alone teach an entire classroom? Personally, I think they have the best chance out of the initial exchange students of eventually declaring a major, but that isn't for me to determine.

"That would be something to ask Diavolo. I don't think I'm qualified to answer that question." MC nods their head.

"So, changing the subject...wanna watch a movie together?"

"Like, right now?"

"Yeah!" I sigh.

"As much as I would like to, I doubt the others would be happy if I kept you all to myself before they've even had the chance to say hi to you. I will have to take your offer some other time."

"Sounds good. I'll try to find a good movie for us to watch together in the meantime."

"You bring the movie, and I'll whip up something nice for us to eat." MC snorts in amusement. "Do you not think I'm capable of cooking, MC?"

"It's not that at all. Just reacting to an idea I had, that's all."

"What kind of thought?" Interesting. My question has made them tense up all of a sudden. Usually they only get that way if someone catches them doing something that they think they're not supposed to do. Like fiddling with strange objects.

Or having dirty thoughts.

I keep coming across the phrase "Netflix and chill" in the media I've been consuming, and it appears to be referring to hooking up with someone as a movie's playing in the background. Is MC wanting to do that with me?

Are they afraid I'd find the idea silly? Because I don't. I mean, if it was something that I was invested in, then I'd want to pay attention to whatever was playing, but I'm more than capable of choosing something that I can tune out as I focus on something else.

Especially if that something else happens to be MC.

I lean in closer to them to whisper,

"You know, I went ahead and assembled a collection of movies I thought you'd like." I plant a kiss right below MC's ear, making them shiver slightly. "I really enjoyed picking them out, actually." I begin moving down their neck. "It was fun thinking about what might appeal to you. There are so many genres that are worth exploring."

Even more Obey Me! head canons :^} (his name is George)

What they do when they can’t fall asleep:

Lucifer: it’s not like he’s going to sleep anyway, so he just does paperwork

Mammon: he jerks off (please don’t question me and my thought process 😭)

Leviathan: he ends up playing video games until he crashes/can’t stay awake any longer

Satan: he finishes off whatever book he’s been reading and sometimes organizes his books

Asmodeus: there’s never an instance where he can’t sleep properly (he has to, it’s good for his skin (I’m just making fun of him at this point, aren’t I?))

Beelzebub: will often get a snack then lay down with Belphie or MC

I don’t know how to explain this in a way that makes sense but I seriously can't stop thinking about how it’s implied that Lucifer genuinely cares about women’s pleasure. Like I can just tell that Adam does not give a shit and probably thinks taking off a woman’s bra is foreplay, but Lucifer?? The only reference to sex he ever makes is implying that he ate Lilith out, AND that it’s something he not only enjoys but is good at. No wonder Lilith left Adam for him, I would too.
