The Fixed Point
Okay, so there are 3 assassins. The first 2 canonically, historically fail to kill Franz Ferdinand.
Why the hell are all the time travelers insisting on stopping all 3 when 2 of them aren’t going to succeed anyway? Wouldn’t you just let dude 1 and dude 2 fail on their own and focus on dude 3?
Also, Sara is the first person EVER to make it to dude 3. Meaning that untold numbers of time travelers have died trying to stop something that never happened in the first place.
So either the guy who owns the bar is evil and imposing nonsensical rules for the sole purpose of profiting off of a bunch of people dying...
Or 100% of time travelers are morons.

I think a lot more is going to happen 7x06 to 7x10 then we realize. Up until a few days ago we were so sure the wedding wouldnt be until the season finale. We are so not ready for this

Deborah and I are happy to introduce you to the Octopus from the upcoming Everyday Witch's Familiars Oracle published by Llewellyn Worldwide (May 2024). What you may think of as an unconventional witch's familiar, this highly intelligent sea-dweller has a lot of wisdom to share! I illustrated this 40 card deck with ink, watercolor, and acryla gouache. Every painting is 7x10 inches and the Octopus is seeking a home.

”deeper depths of his queer love” the realization that’s he’s been in love with his best friend for YEARS is going to hit him so hard I can only imagine how buck would react. Is he gonna laugh is he gonna cry is he gonna be scared is he gonna be happy is it all of the above?
Yeah, Oliver sees the vision. He seems to realize that Buck's relationship with Tommy is leading to something bigger, that there's more under the surface that needs to be discovered than just what he's found in these last two episodes, and I'm so excited to see it all come to fruition.
I personally think when Buck does finally realize he's gonna shut that shit DOWN. I don't think he's going to say shit for fear of losing Eddie and Chris. What I think could happen is Buck realizes in the season finale, it shakes him to his core, he keeps it to himself, the hiatus happens, we come back in season 8 and find out that Buck still hasn't said a word to Eddie but now people are starting to notice that Buck's acting a bit different around Eddie. Not enough for Eddie to notice (man is nothing if not oblivious to men who are in love with him), but enough that it draws the attention of the rest of the firefam. But there are subtle signs, such as a lot of staring, both jumping to spend extra time with Eddie but also holding himself back for fear of being too obvious.
Meanwhile, Eddie may or may not still be with Marisol. If he's still with Marisol, I want to see this being the continuation of his queer realization. I'd be okay with more issues popping up with Marisol and this time Eddie's got no excuses. Or regardless of if she's there or not, Eddie's back in therapy and trying to work through things. OR it could be fun to have Eddie AND Marisol in couples counseling, having the two of them trying to work their shit out, and have the culmination of that be Eddie realizing he's queer.
I just think if they don't have Eddie's queer realization arc in season 7, then a significant portion of it should be dealt with in season 8a. My timeline that I would love would be a mutual bucktommy break up in 7x10 + agreement to remain friends. Buck is pining for Eddie the whole of 8a, and Eddie figures out he's queer by the mid-season finale. A marisol breakup could be on or off screen at that point. As long as he FIGURES. IT. OUT. Then 8b could focus on Eddie coming to terms with his own queerness, now with Buck's conflict being "do I tell Eddie or do I not tell him?" Maybe even have BUCK shifting into TOMMY'S position, of sort of being a "guide" for Eddie, but worrying that he could be taking advantage of him. Meanwhile, Eddie's learning the freedom that comes along with finally being true to himself in 8b, and maybe he's seeing that everything he's ever wanted aligns exactly with what Buck gives him and their family. We could maybe even have Eddie bringing Shannon back, and worrying that realizing he's queer won't change a thing and maybe the issue really is him. Being scared that if he accepts the love Buck clearly wants to give him that he might ruin the best love he's ever had.
NOW. Depending on if the show wants to extend buddie out or they want to get them together, I could see the season 8 ending episodes going one of two ways: 1.) Buck confesses, Eddie accepts, they start their relationship, including first kiss and first date in s8 ending episodes. S9 sees them in a relationship for real OR 2.) Buck confesses to Eddie, Eddie rejects him not because he doesn't reciprocate but because he's afraid of destroying their relationship like he destroyed all the rest of his other relationships. Season 9 then starts with angst where they BOTH want each other badly but they can't take that final step. Season 9a ends with Eddie realizing that he can't waste time anymore, and their relationship starts for real in s9b.
Anyway, this got away from me. I think both of them are going to be more scared of their feelings than accepting right away. BUT I do have faith they'll find their way to each other eventually.

I hope your weekend won't be bad but just in case I have some questions (mostly about fanon and not canon) to distract you. Pick and choose whatever interests you:
- How/ When do you think bucktommy will make their relationship official? Is it after dating for a longer time or will it be immediately after the wedding?
- Ignoring canon drama, what song should their dance at the wedding be to?
- What was the biggest lesson Tommy learned in therapy?
- Is Tommy still in touch with Sal?
- How would you like Maddie's and Tommy's first meeting to go?
- How would Buck react to Tommy getting injured on the job?
You’re so sweet! And because I definitely need the distraction, I’ll answer them all!
I feel like canonically speaking they’ll put a label on it in one of two places, either right after the wedding or somewhere around 7x10. I’m not sure which one I’m leaning more towards, but I think they won’t wait too long because they know the risks of the job.
Ooooooh I have three possible answers to the dance question. And I don’t listen to a lot of good wedding dance songs 🤣. Either Perfect by Ed Sheeran, All of Me by John Legend, or Halo by Beyoncé.
How to forgive himself. I was going to type how to love himself, but I don’t think he could love himself until he forgave himself. Forgive himself for how he acted, absolutely, but also for all the pain he caused himself. All the stress and the heartache and low esteem that being closeted brought him. Forgive himself for making himself into a person he could barely recognize.
Ooooooh good question. Canonically, probably not. If he’s out, canon Sal would’ve dropped him like a sack of hot potatoes. In my headcanon, it depends on the story. Either no or yes but they talk very little. I feel like Sal being away from the 118 and growing older, maybe having some kids, might have made him into less of an asshole. Or maybe he’ll always be an asshole. Im not sure. Tommy could’ve also chosen to lose contact with him. Again, depends on the headcanon.
Tommy and Maddie’s first meeting! Well we all think that Chimney is being rescued by Tommy, so I can picture them rolling up and Maddie throwing himself into Tommy’s arms, thanking him profusely. Later over the wedding, maybe over the dinner or the dance, she takes the time to get properly introduced and talk to him a little.
Depends if Buck was there! Let’s assume he wasn’t. When he first hears the news (going back to my emergency contact headcanon), he goes still. He vaguely registers that Bobby is telling him to go. Maybe Eddie or Bobby or Hen or Chimney drive him to the hospital. Buck paces around the waiting room. Depending on how serious it is, the 118 might wait with him. Tommy has no family that would come/is close enough to, so when Tommy can receive visitors Buck is first in line to go in. And seriousness of the injury can vary, but let’s say it’s an observe overnight deal, so Tommy’s got his room. Buck barely touches him at first, eyes memorizing every detail of his face. But then Tommy mumbles, “Evan”, and Buck places both hands on his face and gently presses kisses all over it, ending with one to his lips.

The Book Of Carol; A Damn Romance Novel...?
...ok hear me out before you go into anaphylactic shock...
I came across an interesting gif set in the Daryl Dixon tag the other day. It was by zehiiro on Tumblr, and I truly thought it was a great observation. I don’t want to tag them in case they'd rather not be dragged into Bethyl/TD stuff and thangs, but the parallels were convincing, and they deserve cred for their observation. Naturally, I interpret it differently than they do, but I will never claim to have the full truth on how anything in TWDU is meant to be interpreted. I can only offer my point of view, and I quite enjoy reading other people's perspectives, it's often very enlightening.
In any case, the parallels are solid, here's a screenshot:
Tumblr media
It makes a lot of sense if what we saw in Carol's sneak peak was shot intentionally to reference the scene from 7x10 New Best Friends. This was after Carol and Daryl had been apart for an extended period of time, just as they are in the current timeline. It was directly before they reunited, something we have to assume will happen relatively soon after the sneak peak takes place in current time. And it references a scene that, in my opinion, heralds rebirth, reunion and resurrection. I'll try to explain how below.
In 7x10 New Best Friends, Daryl has an altercation with Richard, because Richard wants to set up Carol to be killed by the Saviors, in an attempt to lure Ezekiel to go to war, along with Rick, against the Saviors.
Daryl, of course, has major objections to the idea. They fight, right next to a trailer decorated with horses, that we later learned was actually used in the movie Smokey and the Bandit. I wrote about that in an old post of mine, read it here.
Interestingly, we saw a callback to that trailer recently in TOWL 1x5 Become...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...after Rick and Michonne had escaped in that yellow car we all knew was a reference to a selection of yellow objects seen through the years...
Tumblr media
...such as Beth's yellow polo, and a certain yellow Ford Mustang from season 2...
Remember Carol's blue Ford Mustang? I wrote about it here and here. Mustangs are horses, and I believe these shots were specifically included in reference to the symbolism around Mustangs, and I mean both the horses and the cars here.
This shot of Carol's blue Ford Mustang from TWDDD 1x6 Coming Home, shows the licence plate that points to TWD 5x2, which was when Carol and Daryl discovered a Grady car, and followed it into Atlanta, and eventually located Beth.
Tumblr media
And like I expanded on in the post about the yellow symbolism, it all derives from Carol's yellow Jeep Cherokee from season one, plus the aforementioned yellow Ford Mustang from season 2...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...which happens to have the same licence plate as the car that Carol and Daryl drove to follow the Grady car to Atlanta, which eventually led them to Beth...
Tumblr media
...and which I believe is a reference to the Lincoln Continental Beth and Daryl hid in in 4x12 Still (because the LC on the licence plate, in my opinion, could represent "Lincoln Continental").
What happens directly after Daryl and Richard's fight by the mustang/horse trailer, is that Daryl makes his way over to Carol's house. He knocks on her door, and reunites with Carol after a long time apart. And what is Carol doing right before she opens her door?
She’s reading a damn romance novel, called Denim Dreams, with a familiar looking Sirius Piggyback on the cover:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sirius Piggyback; The Literal Book Of Carol
Below, we see the actual Sirius Piggyback from 4x13 Alone, along with the stock photo from Shutterstock that was used as the cover photo for Carol's damn romance novel:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 4x13 Alone, Daryl carried Beth, piggyback-style, across a cemetary. In 7x10 New Best friends, Carol lived in a little YELLOW house, near a cemetary, enjoying a damn romance novel, with a Sirius Piggyback cover photo...
Those are some darned suspicious coincidences...
Back when 7x10 New Best Friends aired, this caused quite a stir, and it remains to this day one of my favorite Bethyl hints to ever appear in TWDU. Read more about it in these excellent posts from season 7 (here and here).
Later, we see Carol prepare food for Daryl, while explaining why she had to leave. We see the romance novel, with the Sirius Piggyback cover photo, on her bookshelf, right next to a symbol we remember from 5x8 Coda:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My take on the title "Denim Dreams", is that, long story short, "denim" is a blue clue (in the sense that "blue jeans" is an established term). And as I explained in a recent post, "blue" is a synonym for "police". Beth and Rick are both encompassed by the "blue" symbolism, Rick because he's a police officer, Beth because she's "the new sheriff in town". The "pig" in "Sirius Piggyback" refers to the derogatory term for police, "pig", which has been used as symnonomous with "police" several times in TWDU. I wrote about the "pig" symbolism recently in this post, along with my take on the cat symbolism.
Speaking of cat symbolism, there was plenty of that to be found in 7x10 New Best Friends. Here's Rick, articulating what I tried to say in my cat symbolism post:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...to replace the one you lost...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...it's just that sometimes the one you lost can't easily be replaced...
But the cat symbolism is about rebirth, reunion and resurrection, and that's something to hold on to, according to an overwhelming number of characters in this episode...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...which is interesting, concidering a certain someone sang an entire Tom Waits classic on the subject of "holding on" back in season 3:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know I keep saying that the symbolism we see is about "reunion". I'm not taking that out of thin air. Here's Daryl's commentary as we hear Beth's voice singing "Hold On" in the background:
Tumblr media
Straight from the horses mouth there. What Daryl is referring to is the fact that he had just returned to, and reunited with, TF after initially having wandered off with his brother earlier in the season.
So, to circle back to the scene from 7x10, and its parallel, the scene from Carol's sneak peak; they're about reunions. Sure, it's obviously specifically about the imminent reunion between Carol and Daryl, both in 7x10 and in TWDDD seasson 2, which I'm personally looking forward to immensly.
But there are multiple layers to the reunion symbolism in TWDU, many of which speak directly to TD.
Because that damn romance novel, Carol's actual book from 7x10 New Best Friends, The Literal Book Of Carol, is a story about the Sirius Piggyback. And the comment on the damn romance novel from 4x1 was about Beth, that's a 100% undeniable fact:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sirius means return, rebirth and resurrection. She will be back. Sirius Piggyback.
Perhaps in "The Book Of Carol; a Damn Romance Novel"...

Ian and Mickey, Frank and Monica.
There are so many similarity between Ian&Mickey and Frank&Monica.
Beyond Ian and Monica sharing their mental illness, they are both very high energy people. They seem innocent and juvenile at times. They both learnt to use their body and sexuality to get what they want. (there's a sad moment when Ian rans away with Monica and he realizes she is going to sleep with a man to get them money and he realizes he does that too.)
They both have the will to take care of kids, they want a family. They crave having a tight family bond with their partner (The Bob and Liam storyline and the dream about life with Yevgeny). It's interesting that when they're hypomanic the both clean and cook and try to take care of the people around them.
Mickey and Frank are both scammers, and good ones. They think of long cons, they are resourceful, if they want something the get it done. They are both very likeable despite their abrasiveness, they both grew up with a very abusive (and somewhat sadistic) parent as their main parental figure. (Terry and Peggy) and they still do their bidding, even after getting away from them.
Like Debbie said- both Frank and Mickey angry drink when they fight with their partner, "It never worked, he always came back to her". Frank calls Monica 'a tick under his skin' and we all know Mickey's line "you're under my skin, man. The fuck can I do?"
Both couples ran scams to get money from married husbands that wanted to sleep with Ian / Monica. ("remember when we were kids , I used to lore guys into the hotel, and lock the bathroom door so we could run off with their wallets and drugs?")
Both met as teenagers and always came back to one another.
Even when they try to move on and be with other people. The whole thing with Monica being in a relationship with Bob and Franks confidence that he and Monica would get back together, is a pathetic version but still similar to 7x10 "I have a boyfriend, Mickey" and Mickey confident "So what you're doing here then, huh?". Not the same energy, but both couples are like magnets, they know they can't stay away from each other for too long. "That's the kind of passion you can't fake."
They fight a lot and they love a lot.
The biggest difference is how selfish Frank and Monica are, and how much Ian and Mickey are willing to do for each other. Sure, not doing crystal meth probably helped, but I think Ian and Mickey were better for each other from the start.
What do you think helped Ian and Mickey not tp end up like Frank and Monica?

Some Gallavich questions:
1. What was the first scene that made you ship them?
2. Favorite scene of theirs?
3. Favorite Ian line? Mickey line? (Doesn’t have to be in relation to each other)
4. When do you think they both realized they loved the other?
5. Where do you see them five years into their marriage?
YAY I LOVE THIS ASK TY
so when i started watching shameless i had already seen a few episodes/scenes before, so i knew that ian and mickey would end up together. the first scene was probably just, “IAN GALLAGHERRRRRR! YOU MESSED WITH THE WRONG GIRL!” but idk- one of the first scenes i watched was 4x12 where ian couldn’t get up, and when i saw how mickey was with ian that made me love them together.
bro i have no idea. every scene??? i think that if i had to narrow it down i’d say when ian came looking for the gun (1x07), the first dugouts scene (2x02), the first kiss (3x05), “don’t” (3x12), mickey comes out (4x11), ian can’t sleep (5x01), “sorry i’m late” (5x08), “you’re under my skin, man” (7x10), reunited in prison (9x06), “i wanna be where you are” (10x03), ian proposes (10x10), the entire wedding (10x12), “nick jonas” (11x03), mickey hires ian (11x04), the anniversary party (11x12). so yeah. i have a lot of favorites.
ian: “i think his dying wish was… get this plastic bag off my head.” mickey: “alright lets not stand around with our dicks in our hands, gentlemen.”
i think that mickey definitely realized he loved ian when he didn’t kill frank; and for ian, i think that he realized around the time when he was crying because of monica and wanted to see mickey/he picked mickey over kash.
five years into their marriage, i see them owning a house. i could see them having a house on the southside, a nice one that is what they both like. i made a post about my feelings on galladads, specifically how i’m not a big fan of it, so personally i don’t see them with a child- a cat or dog, maybe. i just hope that they’re happy and that things are going smoothly.

Very random spn question: do you think Bobby was a good parental figure to sam and dean?
This isn't a straightforward answer because Bobby's relationships with Sam and Dean were very different.
I’d say that for Dean, yes, Bobby was a good parental figure. In the early seasons, after John’s death, Bobby was really the only one who held any sway over Dean, who could call him on the carpet and get him to back down (4x22 Lucifer Rising, 5x18 Point of No Return). We also see in 7x10 Death’s Door one of Bobby’s memories where he’s letting Dean just be a kid for a while. Tellingly, Bobby does refer to Dean as “son” in 5x18. For his part, Dean feels comfortable turning to Bobby when he can’t talk to Sam (6x04 Weekend at Bobby’s).
For Sam, it’s a much different story. After AHBL2, Bobby tends to keep Sam at arm’s length, already nervous about his powers (3x10 Dream a Little Dream of Me). There is no sign of a young Sam in Bobby’s memories, and the way Bobby talks about Sam, well… look at this exchage:
BOBBY: Back at Niveus? I watched that kid pull one civilian out after another. Must have saved 10 people. Never stopped. Never slowed down. We're hard on him, Dean. We've always been. But in the meantime... He's been running into burning buildings since he was, what, 12?
DEAN: Pretty much.
BOBBY: Look, Sam's got a... Darkness in him. I'm not saying he don't. But he's got a hell of a lot of good in him, too.
DEAN: I know.
BOBBY Then you know Sam will beat the devil...Or die trying. That's the best we could ask for. So I got to ask, Dean. What exactly are you afraid of? Losing? Or losing your brother?
The phrasing that Bobby uses: “that kid”, “we’re hard on him”, “your brother”. He doesn’t include Sam in his familial circle, and he never refers to Sam as “son” while he’s alive. The one and only time he does this is in his letter to Sam in 10x17 Inside Man, three years after his death and two years after Sam rescued him from Hell.
Bobby’s concern for Sam also isn’t on the same level as his concern for Dean. Case in point: 7x02 Hello Cruel World when they discover that Sam’s been hallucinating Lucifer, Bobby just makes an excuse to not be in the same room with Sam but then later he’s fawning over Dean:
“Yeah. You just lost one of the best friends you ever had, your brother’s in the bell jar, and Purgatory’s most wanted are surfing the sewer lines, but yeah, yeah, I get it. You’re – you're fine.”
And again, instead of referring to Sam by name it’s “your brother”.
The saddest part of this is that Sam is clearly very fond of Bobby – he’s the one who doesn’t want to leave him alone in the hospital (5x01 Sympathy For the Devil), even before he knew that it was the demon, not Bobby, who disowned him.
It’s a shame that Bobby never really reciprocated Sam’s fondness until after he died.

what is your top 10 favorite upstead scenes/moments?
The shoulder touch in 5x05. It's so small and kind of not really important; but Jay's sitting at the computer and Hailey just casually puts her hand on his shoulder when she leans forward to look over him. They'd barely known each other for that long at this point but it seems so effortlessly and habitable already???
5x18 - especially the ending scene when Jay shows up at her place because he knows she doesn't really wanna be alone and he knows that she's not alright so he stays.
The ending scene in 6x07. This is the first moment when they really give voice to the thing between them and how/why it works so well. And Jay opens up to her and they head out for a beer? and it's just so fucking them.
the "we're good and we're always going to be good" scene in 6x10
6x15 Hailey’s “I’d follow you blind” scene and the look on Jay’s face and also her "i've trusted you from the day I met you" because knowing Hailey's history and her abusive father - there's probably not a lot of people, but especially men that she can say that about.
The "I'm going where you go in 6x22
7x10 - the ending in the hospital when Hailey sees that while Jay is busted up, he's okay and that smile on her face????
Is it cliché to claim their kiss in 8x03? Cause I do. You can just tell how shy Hailey is about the whole situation and how she admits to him that she doesn't wanna take the job because of him??? Oh i'm trash for them.
9x01 when Jay proposes to her in the middle of their living room.
9x09 - their wedding - sure it's mostly a voice over with just a montage of them at the courthouse; but I just love it so fucking much because running to the courthouse in their casual clothes are just so fucking them, I can't
Honorable mentions
4x21 - I think I have to mention their "first" meeting; because the way Hailey just takes charge over Voight? And the clear look of amusement on Jay's face. It's everything tbh.
"Of course I love him, he's my partner"
9x04, when she starts having that panic attack in the locker rooms and Jay grabs her hand and talks her through it?

Visiting the Supernatural shooting locations Part 2
Please find part 1 here.
On our final day, we did Deer Lake and Riverview as the main viewing points.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The thing y'all gotta keep in mind is that there are so many locations, that we drove by countless of them just driving around, so I'm not showing you most of what I saw because I didn't get pictures of it all and also because tumblr wouldn't allow me to post so many photos.
That spot that's highlighted in Riverview? They shot 1x05, 1x10, 1x13, 1x18, 2x01, 2x19, 3x15, 4x06, 4x09, 4x13, 4x16, 5x04, 5x11, 6x10, 6x21, 7x02, 7x03, 7x10, 7x17, 7x21, and 10x09 there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And that's just one building in Riverview.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a beautiful park and we got really lucky with the weather and it only poured rain for half of one day. Even with the bright light, it felt very creepy and I can only imagine how it would look and feel with fog or on a cloudy day. There were a lot of signs warning people not to enter the building or stay on the premises after dark.
A lot of the finale was filmed around Deer Lake. Unfortunately, the Burnaby Village Museum was closed because apparently it's only open to the public in the summer. We weren't able to visit there, but we were able to visit several other filming sites.
One of the things I noticed is that often episodes are filmed in clumps. For example, Regarding Dean was filmed in a few locations, but they grouped together the filming at the various locations to make it easier to film. The restaurant they went to was the Denny's near the motel they went to.
At this Deer Lake location, they filmed multiple scenes from the finale Sam playing catch with son, Dean's funeral pyre, the tree scene, the house the vamps broke into, Sam going for a run, and the pie scene, plus scenes from other episodes.
We found the tree where Baby was parked
Tumblr media Tumblr media
which was in a slightly different location than the map said, but close enough that we found it easily. This place looked so different
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But we're at a different time of the year and we're visiting 14 years later, so it's probably due to that.
One thing that I forgot to mention on the earlier post is that while Bobby's house is gone, the junkyard is still standing and an active business.
Tumblr media
We had read online that the owner is very friendly, but it felt kinda awkward going in there and taking photos while people are hard at work. There's a giant dog that barks at you when you walk in.
One place I wanted to visit, but didn't get to was the Spur 4 Bridge where the finale ended.
Tumblr media
There's a few shooting locations up there including the spot where Sam and Dean split up in 5.02 and the purgatory scenes in s15, but the Spur 4 Bridge is a hike since it's on a private road. Most people access it through the Fisherman's Trail
Tumblr media
Although it's rated as easy here, someone who hiked it recently said that due to a rockslide, bring boots. You can also bike around it.
Since it was such a long hike, I decided to save it for next visit, when I'll plan a whole day around it. I also want to visit the place where they defeat Chuck, which is up in Minaty Bay and visit the area south of Richmond where they filmed Mystery Spot and several BM scenes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As for getting around in general, the city of Vancouver is very bikeable and there's different bike rental options available. I don't know about transporting them between locations, but you can do this section by bike easy
Tumblr media
We had a car, which enabled us to travel to a wide variety of sites and visit locations such as the Lulu Trestle (1x07, 3x07, 4x03, 4x13, 9x14, 12x22, 15x18).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now you can get to the Trestle by public transportation, but it'll take you an hour from Burnaby Village Museum by bus versus a 16 minute drive. If you don't have access to a car, I'd focus my visit on the cities. At one point, we split up and I took the Sky Train from Burnaby to Westminster and it was very safe and easy. I also took a few buses to get to and from various locations. Vancouver was, in my experience, a very clean, safe city, with lots of public restrooms. Just don't continue going east of Gastown. There may be other parts that are unsafe, so if you are unsure, send me a PM and I can tell you exactly where we went.
I also recommend Salmon n'Bannock, which is an Indigenous restaurant that had some of the best food I've ever had.
Tumblr media
Hope this helps! It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend that you visit. I'd pick out your favorite places before you arrive because there's so many places and it can get overwhelming looking at the map!

what do u think happened in between the 7x10 docks scene and the van scene in the morning? obviously sex and sleeping as we saw, but do u think there was any sort of conversation or agreement on anything in between?
A very interesting question anon! Personally, I think they did talk. I’m not 100% sure what about. I don’t think they discussed Mickey’s plan to go to Mexico in much detail because Mickey does seem unsure when he meets Ian the next time. I think he may have laid out his plan and Ian didn’t say yes or no. I think a lot of what happened was living in the moment, they were so happy to see each other that they took advantage of that. I think both of them were unsure of what would happen in the immediate future so they were trying to just enjoy the present.
What does everyone else think? Please feel free to reblog and add thoughts!

I just saw the synopsis for 7x10 jabitha investigating a mystery and barchie and veggie double date :(( i'm losing hope
Well we knew they would dip into old couples again? Possibly even with a weird Tabitha² love triangle with Jughead. Like Choni is the only sure thing right now. Also Tabitha is a great character and a much better protagonist than Jughead, so I'm excited for her to move the story along. Maybe we can pick up the pace on this murder plot finally and rescue Ethel too. And, I will just leave you with this:
When we kind of reset to the 1950s and we made that decision to go back to the OG comics, it was like that sort of informed what our storytelling would be and our storytelling really would be much more about dating, relationships, going steady, holding hands, and things like that, as opposed to the crazy Riverdale “oh my god, we’re in the shower” and all of that crazy stuff. It was a more innocent relationship type but we did kind of want to go back and think, before anyone is hot and heavy and ride or die — I don’t think anyone’s mentioned the word endgame yet in the 1950s because mercifully, it didn’t exist. One of the fun things about the 1950s is being able to see various pairings and various characters go on a date and casually date and not so casually date, and I can safely say that if you’ve only seen episode three, there is a lot more story between Archie and Betty and Veronica, specifically those three, and other characters that haven’t historically been matched with Veronica or Betty. So, there’s a lot more teen high jinks and romance to play before we lock into any endgames. [...] Lastly, you finally gave me what I’ve been asking you about forever: Jughead and Veronica having scenes together! I was living for them in episode three. What was the push for that? Was it because fans kept mentioning that they wanted to see them or were they just thrown together naturally since they didn’t get much time before? I think it’s a little bit of both. I mean, when we kind of did this soft reset, we sort of were like, “Okay, who haven’t we seen together?” We always love our typical sort of references and we started thinking of like, oh — and we love saying this in the Riverdale writers’ room and on the show, things like, “Oh my gosh, Jughead and Veronica are like the Arthur Miller and Marilyn Monroe of Riverdale High, the tortured writer and then the beautiful starlet.” And in the past, the little Veronica and Jughead content that we’ve had has always played great. We’ve just never gotten a chance to dig into that. So I can tell you that we are leaning into that and that that bubbles up in various times throughout the season, in a really fun way. It’s a fun pairing, those characters definitely have a spark.
(x)
and I will say that if things don't turn out the way you hope, there's a lot of talented people in this fandom that will create better endings for them. 💜

curious bc of the previous ask -- do you have any personal ideas for the oh moment, if it occurs in 7x10, and if it would be eddie or buck? personally leaning toward buck bc i think eddie has.. a lot of things to process but...
I don’t really have any headcanons but I feel like it’ll be Buck as well. The thing with Eddie is complicated, because I do think he knows how he feels about Buck without knowing what it is. I think he knew when he was shot in the middle of the street in broad daylight in front of Buck, maybe he even thought “Huh” after the whole tsunami ordeal. He certainly knew what it meant when he put Buck in his will and didn’t tell him for a year. I think, in typical Eddie fashion, that he’s internalized all of that so much that he can’t look at it head on until he gets a cue or until he’s pushed to bring it out into the light and examine it. This is not even me saying he knows he’s in love with Buck, but he knows what Buck means to him on the deepest level and he knows what he’d want with Buck but it’s going to take him time and turning himself inside out to get there. All that said, the show has been so good at being better than headcanon and fanon (we only have to look at Bucktommy for that as a recent example) that I implicitly trust that they can take me into any story they want to tell with these two and I’d enjoy it.

as a hotchgan truther who’s only on like s6 of cm, when do you think I should stop watching? or like at what point does savannah come into the picture and all of that bc i don’t know if my heart can take watching my boys be torn apart in life. god especially when hotch leaves I just don’t wanna see it happen.
Hello fellow truther! I will preface this by saying that I am just delusional enough to watch it all and ignore everything I don't like for the sake of my brainrot, so I've gone the distance. (Well. Hotch's distance anyway.)
For anyone not wanting post Season 6 spoilers (or legit hotchgan brain soup), do not read under the cut. <3
Savannah appears first in 9x08. I actually like her, if I'm being honest. Out of all the significant others I find her to be the best all around. She brings out some really cute moments in Derek.
Hotch gets himself a girlfriend around mid-season 7 (7x10) and she hangs around (in theory) until early Season 10 though you don't see her again after the end of Season 8. (The actress got a starring role on a different show.) I am not a Beth fan, I dislike the actress quite a bit however she does make Hotch smile a lot and for that I am thankful. You can't go wrong with smiling Hotch.
Derek's last episode is 11x18 and it's hard to watch after that, even for Hotch. Hotch's last episode is 12x02.
Now, with that all out of the way...I rarely watch past Season 10 before cycling back around to the beginning. The writing really took a nosedive, my favorites left, it's just not worth it when I've seen them all so many times. I'd rather spend my time in Seasons 3/4/5 where the good stuff lives. You know? But there are some really excellent hotchgan moments in Season 7 that I highly recommend, and a few in Season 8, and then again in 9 & 10 in spite of the girlfriend situations. I don't think any of those storylines are too hard to ignore to get to the good stuff. Feel free to send another ask or DM if you want specific episodes for those moments, if you plan not to watch the whole seasons or whatever. I got you.
I watched the whole series twice through (many years ago) without having a ship so I didn't have the same heartache you're experiencing. Nowadays, my brainrot kicks in and says that hotchgan endgame is the real deal. They retire in Chicago and raise their little family in peace and quiet forever and ever amen. And as long as I have words in my brain I'll indulge myself by writing out their forever.
