There seems to be only them and Thomas asleep in the house nearby.

❝ What are you doing here?❞ he asked, despite assuming that she was out here to sate her boredom. ❝ You’re supposed to be at Whitehall. If you bring my father here- ❞ he doesn’t finish his comment before he adjusts his jacket, attempting to hide the way he stuffed a piece of parchment underneath his jacket. He can feel the weight of his hidden blade against his wrist and he knows how dangerous it’ll be if Emma gets any closer. Abe would never kill or hurt a woman, but he has to get her off his trail somehow. That might call for some brute force.

❝ Let’s get you back to Whitehall before you bring anyone else out here, ❞ he grumbles under his breath and a sigh leaves his nose. He reaches for the reins on his horse. ❝ I need to get the wagon and we’ll be set. ❞

Why would she bring his father there? And why is he hiding from him of all people? That is even more intriguing, she thought he was being odd about Simcoe. Or maybe she should worry, she'd hate to have accidentally stumbled in something bad that could ruin a family, there is already some tension between him and Mary every now and then, even if she has of course made no hint at it.

"You are... you are aware I'm not a lost dog, right? And that I can tell you are doing something if not illegal, at the very least secret. Which is why I didn't bring anyone, it's not as if I wanted you to get in trouble." She has to take precautions because for some unknown reason all the men on that side of the country seem to have forgotten that women have eyes, ears and even a brain hidden somewhere in there, and aren't as careful as they should be most of the time. She has seen ridiculous things at dances held by men who should have known better.

Besides, there was a baby in the house so if his farmer father was getting in trouble, well... "In fact, I'm here to help you stay out of it, whatever you are doing. I've grown very fond of little Thomas and therefore I'm bound by duty to protect you. Really, it's in my job's description and you need an extra hand."

Ok ok hear me out: it could end in tragedy,, AND have a happy ending. The attempt(s) on Machete’s life force him to flee, he doesn’t even have the chance to find Vasco. Cue gay longing for at least a few years while Machete despairs over the loss of his love, his life, his status. He and Vasco only reunite (again) in their later years. Their relationship is forever flavored with loss and loneliness, but that only means they savor every moment that much more

I also I would like to see them as old men. Vasco would be so droopy :)

Dungeon Meshi modern au where both Laois and Falin are food vloggers. Laois is always travelling to remote areas and cultures to try the most "extreme" foods and bring them to light. He's known as the guy who will drink blood and slam a still wriggling bug just to comment on it's nutty flavor. Meanwhile Falin is visiting long-standing eateries and sharing the stories behind local cuisine.

Nobody actually puts together they're siblings (in part due to wildly different viewerbases) until Falin in one video mentions how she enjoys eating insects and the comment section is full of folks asking her to "collab with the bug guy". Her very next video is her and Laois smiling infront of a mukbang style platter of insects and she introduces him as her brother.

concept: eddie has heard many a rumor about king steve, but he's actually never really bothered to seek him out. and while he was doing his lunchtime monologues, steve was usually hanging out with tommy and carol in the parking lot. so despite hawkins high being a small school, he's never connected the rumor to the boy.

he HAS however seen steve, he just doesn't know it. and it's basically love at first sight, but eddie is never able to catch up to him and learn his name. so whenever he talks to his friends, he just calls him the guy with the Fat Ass.

and his friends always brush over steve harrington whenever eddie tries to point out the "love of his life." so it becomes a running joke that eddie is in love with some sort of ghost with a Fat Ass.

then one day, steve peeks into the drama room, looking for dustin. and all eddie can do is point and say "you... you fat ... fat ass." and steve is just like "rude."

i also think that katsuki's baby isn't like. scared of him.

even though she's trying to stick her fingers up his nose and touching his face with damp, sticky hands and pulling on his hair, when he presses his nose to hers and huffs out like an angry bull and tells her quit. it. she just LAUGHS. because that's just her silly dad 🥺

or she starts shrieking just because and he gives her the wildest, most surprised look and she just giggles away. and he presses his mouth to her little ear and tells her, stop y'r screamin' and she pulls away to grin at him, fiddling with her ear before letting out another scream just so he'll do it again 🥺
