blind date/leah williamson
*leah williamson x fem!reader *what happens if you are on a blind date and stood up by the person you were supposed to meet but a beautiful blonde comes to you rescue? *fluff ig? *1.3k words (1.7k with the bonus) .................................
My first blind date. I don't think I've ever been this nervous. Why did Beth even set me up? I didn't need it. I mean, yeah, I'm not dating anyone at the moment and I'm not good at flirting but did she have to make it that obvious and set me up with someone? I never met that girl and Beth didn't even want to tell me her name. How was I supposed to know who she was?
I sighed before I turned around on my bed, almost falling out of it. My hand reached for my phone, which was laying on the nightstand. In my stress, I dialed the first number that came to my mind. "Hello?" I almost threw my phone across the room. That was not my best friend. "Hello? Is someone there?" I had to answer now, right? "Hi. Eh it's y/n. We met like 2 weeks ago, on that event. I was there with Beth and Viv." I mentally facepalmed myself for calling HER out of all people. The women I've had a crush on for a year now, captain of the Lionesses, Leah Williamson. "Oh yeah y/n, I remember. What's up?" Was that my mind making things up or did her tone change when I said my name? It was probably nothing. "Actually I wanted to Beth. I must've dialed the wrong number sorry for disturbing you." I was about to hang up when I heard her say something. "No no, don't worry you didn't disturb me at all. I was pretty bored actually."
"Oh, okay." My response was followed by an awkward silence. "So what are you up to this evening?" Should I tell her about the blind date? Would she even be bothered to know about it? "I'm actually going on a date."
"Oh you're dating someone? I didn't know that."
"Surprised? Don't you think that people ask me out?" I chuckled as Leah searched for a plausible answer.
"Eh- I- No, I do. It's just-"
"Don't worry, it's just a stupid blind date Beth set me up for. Apparently I'm not capable of finding the 'true love' myself." That made Leah laugh and I couldn't help but join in. Her laugh was really infectious, I had to admit that. "Where does your mysterious date take you, if I'm allowed to know?"
"We're going to the new restaurant in town."
"Oh the Italian one? I only heard good things about it but you'll have to tell me if they're true once you come back."
"I will do that. Alright, I'm gonna have to hang up now. I have to get ready if I wanna be there at 9."
"Well have fun then. It was nice talking to you, maybe we could meet up in the near future?"
"Yeah I would love that. I'll let you know when I'm free. Bye Leah."
"Bye y/n."
That definitely went better than expected but now I really had to get going. I stood up and walked over to my closet. I picked a nice navy blue dress that I hadn't worn in a while and matching high heels. my makeup was done 20 minutes later and my hair only took 15. With enough time to spare, I decided to drive to the restaurant and wait for her there.
.................................
"Hi, I have a reservation at 9 under the name y/l/n."
"Ah yes. Please follow me."
I followed the nice women to our table and sat down. "Would you like to order something to drink while you wait?"
"Yes, just a water please."
And with that she left. I looked around the restaurant and tried to calm my nerves by concentrating on the decoration, the color of the walls, literally anything. I fidgeted with the rings on my fingers while I watched the door carefully as if I could miss her walking in. The waitress came back with my water but I just took one sip before placing it in front of me. The minutes passing felt like hours and I got more and more nervous. Multiple people walked in but they all sat at different tables. Every time I heard the door open, I looked up and hoped that it would be her but it never was. After a while, I looked on my phone and saw that it was already 9:45 pm. She wasn't coming. I felt the entire hope just disappearing with that realization. I got ditched by a person I didn't even know. I did my hair and makeup for nothing. I was excited and stressed for absolutely no reason. Disappointed by how the evening turned out, I leaned down to pick up my purse. That was when I heard a voice. "Sorry that I'm so late. The traffic was awful." I looked up to see the bluest eyes I had ever seen. Wait, I knew those eyes. And that blonde hair. And that voice. "Leah? What the hell are you doing here?" For a second I completely forgot my crush on her and stared at her like she was some alien from outer space. "I'm here to save your night."
"Elaborate please." I leaned back in my chair while she sat down on the one in front of me. "Well your date didn't come, did she?" I shook my head and another wave of disappointment hit me. "Definitely her loss. But anyway, I'm here now. I can't just let you sit at this table, all alone, that would be mean."
"You know when you said 'near future', I thought you meant next week or something but not tonight." She chuckled and I couldn't help but smile. "Yeah, I wasn't planning this either trust me. But let's see where the night brings us, shall we?"
"Alright, fine with me."
.................................
The evening was simply amazing. Leah and I talked about everything and I felt like I was on cloud nine. The food was delicious and the three hours we spent together felt like 10 minutes. She offered to pay but I didn't accept. Instead I paid for both of our meals. As we made our way out of the restaurant, our hands brushed against each other and little fireworks erupted in my whole body. We walked side by side in a comfortable silence until we reached my car. "So this is it, right?" I turned around and looked straight in Leah's eyes. Big mistake. I could feel my cheeks turning crimson red and Leah trying to hide her cheeky smile was just a confirmation that I was blushing. "I guess so." She took a deep breath. "y/n, I really really liked talking to you and all of this felt so, so-" She searched for the perfect word but I already knew it. "Natural?"
"Exactly. That's why I would love to take you out sometime in the near future. And this time I mean next week and not tomorrow night." A big smile made its way onto my face. "I would love that."
"But how about I make it up to you."
"Make what up to me?"
"You paid, so obviously I'm going to give you something back."
"Leah I really don't want your money, I-"
"Oh don't worry, I wasn't talking about money."
Before I could say something, she leaned towards me and my brain just turned off. I felt her soft lips on mine and I instantly knew that it was going to be favorite feeling of all time. I kissed her back and arms made their way around her neck. We only parted when air became a problem but my arms stayed exactly where they were. As soon as we locked eyes and I couldn't help but notice the sparkle in hers. "That was way better than any amount of money."
"I hope so cause I was planning on doing it again." We both smiled at each other and I was sure that this evening couldn't have been any better.
.................................
Bonus:
"Leah are you sure that they're gonna like me?" I anxiously looked at her and she took my hands in hers. "Princess, they're going to like you just as much as I do. I have no idea how they couldn't." She squeezed my hands reassuringly and I felt a part of the nervousness leaving my body. "Alright if you say so. Then let's go." I put a smile on my face and followed Leah into the locker room. She knocked and several women answered. "Come in!" She turned to me one last time and I just nodded, not sure if I could form actual words right now. She opened the door and we stepped inside. "Hi girls, I already told you that I wanted you to meet someone very special to me. This is y/n. My girlfriend." As soon as those words left her mouth I could feel every pair of eyes on me. "Hi, it's so nice to finally meet you." Beth walked to me and engulfed me into a big hug. "Finally! I thought you'd never show yourself here, god." I laughed and hugged her back. After that, I answered a lot of questions from everyone in the room. I also got into a nice conversation with Jen and Katie. We even agreed to meet each other for lunch the next week. All of the stress that I felt before this meeting was totally unnecessary. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and they were all so nice to talk to!
After an hour or so, Leah and I left. We still had to drive home, make dinner and watch the movie she promised me earlier that day. I intertwined our fingers as we walked to the car and started talking about her teammates nonstop until we got to her car. "You were so right, I shouldn't have worried about this. Your teammates are way nicer than you're always saying."
"Oh just wait until you get to know them a bit better. You're gonna be pranked by Katie, Lia is going to spam you with messages and-"
"I absolutely don't care. I love them."
"Well I only hope that you don't love them more than me." She grinned and I couldn't help but tease her a little bit. "Ah I don't know about that. Let's see, shall we?" I got a playful slap on my shoulder in response. "I'm joking babe. I'll always love you more, more than anyone actually."
"I love you too darling."

Pay Me Some Attention Buggy (OPLA)
Tumblr media
What happens after Buggy gets his body back and is finally reunited with his crew. Buggy x Reader.
Y/N
You'd managed to track the captain to Arlong Park which was the base of operations for the Arlong Pirates on the Conomi Islands. As the ship pulled into the harbour from your position in the crow's nest you could make out a familiar jolly roger attached to another ship which was docked.
'The straw hat crew,' you mutter under your breath.
Captain Buggy had underestimated the three little nobodies who stole the map to The Grand Line not once but twice from under him and had quite literally sent him flying into the unknown leaving you and the rest of the crew to think him dead in the beginning before finding out he was alive.
On the deck Mohji, who'd been acting captain despite his duel with Cabaji nearly causing him to lose the title, Richie, Cabaji and the rest of the crew gathered waiting for the true captain's return. Though you would be lying if you said it hadn't been more peaceful around here without Buggy, you were loyal to him and deep down missed him but would never show it.
'He's coming,' a crewmate calls out peaking your interest.
You raise your telescope and scan the shoreline to see Captain Buggy stomping towards the ship. He didn't look happy, and that meant everyone's peace on board was going to be shattered.
He comes aboard and is quickly rushed upon by the crew. You lean over the crow's nest cup your hands to your mouth and shout, 'HAPPY TO SEE YOU CAPTAIN BUT WE SHOULD PROBABLY LEAVE!'
Buggy glares up at you and in return, you simply blow him a kiss. You were happy he was back but didn't fancy dealing with two other pirate crews.
TIME SKIP
Once back on the open waters you clamber down from the crow's nest and walk over to Cabaji who is leaning against the side of the ship, 'we going to celebrate later?' you ask.
He nods, 'of course we are y/n.'
You smile at him before deciding to make your way to the captain's quarters, knowing you needed to give your captain a proper hello and see just what the hell he'd been up to this whole time.'
Knocking on his door you wait for a reply, but when one doesn't come you press your ear to the door and can here loud grunts and things being thrown around.
'I'm coming in captain,' you call out, before entering his quarters.
Buggy stops stomping around and goes to sit on his throne, looking rather annoyed so you probably shouldn't talk much because you had a tendency to put your foot in your mouth at times.
'Why do people keep saying I'm doing well considering the circumstances? I'm feeling awful! Took you guys long enough to find me! And I don't like how things have been moved around!' he huffs and whines.
You bend down to pick up some scattered papers before placing them neatly to the side rolling your eyes, 'since the circumstances were you almost never getting your body back captain, I would say you're doing quite well being able to whine to me.'
Next thing you know a hand is around your throat and you're pulled quite roughly towards your captain enough to choke you, before being forced to your knees in front of him. Looks like you hadn't been careful with your words.
Buggy wasn't to be underestimated either, being a powerful pirate in his own right, and there were times he genuinely terrified you. He laughs maliciously and brings his face inches from yours, the grip on your throat loosening only a little, 'keep talking y/n I know you have more to say to me.'
You gasp for air and bite down on your lip, not quite sure if this is a trap or not.
Buggy smirks at your silence, 'I said speak!' he hisses.
You gulp and nod, 'err at first we thought you were dead, then as soon as we got word you were alive we came looking for you but you kept moving around. I'm a navigator, not a miracle worker. And as far as I'm aware nothing has been moved on this ship or in your quarters, you're imagining things, captain.'
Buggy releases you from his grip and you pant, knowing you'll be bruised. You dare to look up at him and note the wide smile on his painted mouth before he throws his head back and laughs loudly.
'Ok, now that's funny,' he howls, 'I think I've missed you most of all y/n.'
Not quite sure what to do next, you stand up on kind of shaky legs thinking it best if you leave the captain alone. Buggy stops laughing and quirks an eyebrow at you mockingly, 'and where do you think you're going y/n? Did I say you could leave?'
You shake your head and run your fingers through your hair, 'you didn't give me permission to leave captain, I just thought you might want to be alone.'
Next thing you know you're pulled down onto his lap and let out a small yelp in surprise. It was small actions like these you weren't quite sure you missed or not. Buggy was kind of possessive around you and if he could he liked to keep you close to him at all times.
'We have some catching up to do y/n. Now tell me honestly what happened while I was away,' he says calmly and starts to run his fingers through your hair which he knew you liked.
You sigh contently knowing this is going to be a long night.

Smooth Talker Part 2
Poe Dameron x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Part 1 - Join My Taglist!
Requested on Wattpad! I normally don't do Part 2 requests, but an idea for this one popped immediately into my head and I couldn't let it go :)
Summary: Through a truly ridiculous series of events, you've managed to become a *triple* agent for the Resistance, being sent back to your original base by the First Order as a trusted spy after spending time as a Resistance spy in First Order territory. You can't wait to be back home, and even better, to tell your boyfriend Poe Dameron just what level of bs you managed to pull off.
Word Count: 1,522
Category: Fluff, Humor
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
I tried to keep a smile off my face as I stood, back straight and hands behind my back, facing General Armitage Hux. He'd been my main point of contact for the past few months after he'd been the one to recruit me as a First Order spy, and the fact that I hadn't laughed in his face a single time that he'd been telling me all about what being a spy would entail was a true testament to my skills.
I'd been undercover for the Resitance deep in First Order territory when he'd come knocking with a bunch of soldiers because he suspected my apartment was a hideout for Resistance sympathizers and activity. And, to be fair, he was right. Poe Dameron, my boyfriend, had snuck in for a rare visit and left literal minutes before Hux and his friends showed up. But I'd done such a good job answering their interrogation questions that, instead of arresting me, they'd recruited me.
Now, after months of preparing, I was being sent on my way to find and infiltrate the Resistance's base. I'd need to be careful not to blow my true allegiances, but once I got out of range of the First Order and was only expected to make occasional reports, I couldn't help thinking this would be my easiest assignment yet.
"Are we clear on communication protocols and the kind of information we're most interested in?" asked Hux as I tuned back in to the end of his lecture. I nodded once, curtly.
"Yes sir."
"Good. Then best of luck to you. You're doing your Order a great service."
I saluted, fast and sharp, exemplifying the unshakeable, blind commitment they looked for in their recruits. I held it for a few moments, then Hux nodded and I let my hand fall back to my side.
"I look forward to hearing what you have to report."
The march through the rest of the ship felt like a dream. I was being dropped fairly far from anywhere the First Order suspected of being a Resistance base to make sure no one would be suspicious of me, but I was still closer to home than I'd been in a long, long time. I could swear I felt the latent tension of the past six months ease out of my shoulders as I watched the ship disappear without me on it.
I took a moment to enjoy the feeling, then quickly got my head back in the game. There was still a chance, however slim, that Hux was playing me. If I wasn't careful, I could accidentally lead the First Order right back to the Resistance base they'd spent so long looking for.
I spent the next week doing my due diligence, making sure no one was following me and that I didn't have a tracker on me anywhere that I didn't know about. I sent a brief update to Hux through the convoluted method we'd come up with for contact, telling him that I had a lead and was going to follow up on it, and then I finally started the trek home.
When the entrance to the Resistance base finally came into view another full week and change later, my heart leapt. It was vital to my cover that I didn't let myself dwell on how much I'd missed this place while living among First Order personnel, but now that I was finally safe, I almost starting crying at the sight of it. I hadn't really realized how badly I'd wanted to be back here until now.
I walked the rest of the way up with a massive smile on my face, scanning the crowd for anybody I recognized. I got some strange looks, largely from newer recruits who didn't know me, but then finally I found one of the people I was most hoping to see.
Poe Dameron stood just across the hanger with his back to me. I grinned and started walking towards him with purpose, and after a moment, the person he was talking to noticed me and pointed over Poe's shoulder. Poe turned around with a frown that quickly changed into a confused but beaming smile, then started rushing towards me. I sped up too, until we were running towards each other across the hanger. As soon as I got in reach, Poe picked me up and spun me around in a tight hug, then set me back on the ground only to pull me into a searing kiss. I kissed him back just as hard, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and tangling my hands in his hair. I ended up breaking the kiss as a joyful laugh bubbled out of me; finally we were together without the looming threat of a First Order solider at the door ruining the moment.
"What... what are you doing here?" he asked, still smiling and completely breathless. I laughed again, joy overflowing in my chest as I looked at the man I loved.
"You'll absolutely never believe it," I said with a crooked smile. He raised an eyebrow at me, so I continued. "I've been recruited as a spy for the First Order."
"...You what?"
I laughed as Poe stared at me, brow furrowed as he tried to figure out what was happening. I couldn't exactly blame him–I still wasn't totally sure how I'd managed to get here.
"It's the craziest story you'll ever hear, and I promise to tell you every last detail later tonight. But right now, I should really go and see Leia."
"Now hold on a minute," Poe said, grabbing my waist and pulling me a little tighter to him. As if I'd be moving away from him voluntarily any time soon. "You have to give me a little more than that, first."
I smiled. "Okay, but you have to promise not to freak out when I tell you the first part."
Poe frowned, looking incredibly nervous, but nodded anyway.
"Alright..."
"So remember the last time I saw you, when you visited me in the apartment where I was hiding out to spy on the First Order? Well that same night, right after you left, General Hux and Kylo Ren themselves came knocking with a whole host of troopers at their backs."
"They WHAT?"
"You said you wouldn't freak out! Just listen."
I could see Poe practically vibrating and fuming with delayed panic and about a thousand questions, but to his credit, he managed to hold them back with nothing more than slightly tightening his grip on my waist.
"Well, they asked me a bunch of questions because they thought a Resistance spy base was operating out of my apartment-" Poe winced, but I ignored him and kept going. "-and I answered the questions well enough that they decided I was clearly a loyal member of the First Order with a passion for them and their rule. So, instead of arresting me, they recruited me to be a spy! Of course I said yes, and now I'm here as a triple agent, so I can feed them a bunch of bad information, or information that comes just a little too late for them to do anything about it while still being correct, all while being here again, on base with you and everybody else."
Poe huffed a disbelieving laugh, just staring and blinking at me for a few moments while he processed. Then a smile spread across his face again, even as he shook his head.
"That is... incredible. I can think of about a thousand other things I could say about it too, but... just wow."
"I know," I said with a grin. I stepped back slightly out of his embrace, then took his hand instead. At some point we would have to go do separate activities on base, but I didn't plan on spending a second away from Poe right now until I had to. "Now, I need to go talk to Leia and Major Ematt about all this. Come with me?"
Poe matched my grin, still shaking his head but letting me pull him out of the hanger base with me.
"Of course. I'd follow you anywhere, you absolute maniac."
I just laughed as Poe fell into step beside me, our hands still held tight as we marched through the base. By no means was this war over; we still had so much work to do, and being back on base didn't even come close to putting me out of danger. But now I was in danger and fighting alongside Poe and all the people I cared about, while still putting my skills as a spy to full use. It was the best of both worlds, and in the middle of fighting back against an Empire that just didn't want to stay down, victories like this alongside loved ones were the things most worth fighting for.

🍵 adam fantilli (your fav !! 🤭)
MY HUBBY BUBBY AMAZING POOKIE AHHHHHHHH ILY, u know me so well, queen <3
i love this man so much, the way I WOULD LITERALLY DIE. FOR. HIM.
Tumblr media
it was the night after the draft, and it felt like the whole was just perfect, for you and adam. watching him walk up that stage, you felt an overwhelming sense of pride, not only for his achievement but for how far he'd come.
now, you two were sitting in his hotel room talking, as if everything was normal, as if you guys hadn't been through the most life altering night. that was the thing you loved most about the dynamic, even if the whole world was falling apart you knew you could be your most honest and truest self with him.
"can you believe how fast everything has happened?" you asked, reflecting on the whirlwind of the draft.
adam nodded, his eyes still shining with the excitement of the night. "it's been insane, hasn't it? it's just felt like a dream come true, i don't think anything could make me feel bad right now, that's how... good i feel."
you smile, thoroughly and genuinely. "me too. i can't believe you made it ─ i mean, i always knew you could it but wow, now that you're actually here, i'm just so excited for you."
the thought of being away from adam hadn't even crossed your mind that entire night. you had been thinking about it for months straight but now that the draft actually happened, seeing adam so happy made you feel ecstatic for him.
there was a quiet and comfortable hush that took over the atmosphere of the hotel room as you both just enjoyed each other's company. adam had scotted a little closer to you, laying his head on top of your chest.
you moved your hands and ran them through his hair, comfortingly.
"have you ever been in love?"
your eyebrows furrowed in confusion at the abruptness of the question. "i.. i don't know, why?"
he stayed quiet for a moment before speaking again, moving his gaze up to meet yours. "i think i'm in love with you."
your heart raced and your thoughts whirled, adam continued to hold your gaze with a mix of anticipation and vulnerability. the room seemed to hold its breath as you processed his unexpected confession.
you two had only been together a few months but it did feel much longer in your head. your heart started beating and it didn't help that adam was laying right on top of it.
in that moment, you realized that you had felt something wholehearted and sincere for him from the very beginning. it wasn't just the obvious attraction or infatuation you'd felt with guys in the past; it was a connection that had grown stronger with each day, that had become constant in your life. you remembered the countless times you'd laughed together, supported each other through all the tough times, and found comfort in each other's presence when it was hard.
a smile slowly spread across your features, and you found yourself unable to hold back the emotions that had been building within you. "adam," you whispered almost breathlessly, your voice filled with warmth, "i think i'm in love with you too."
as your words hung in the air, you both felt a sense of relief wash over you. adam had a big grin on his face too, as he leaned in and pressed his soft lips against yours, his hand warmly resting on your cheek.
it was as if a weight had been lifted, you finally felt like you two were truly honest with one another. your hearts now aligned, the night after the draft became even more unforgettable, marking the beginning of a new chapter in your relationship.

Dog Day Afternoon - Ghoap x reader
I've been binge-reading @ohbo-ohno's blog all day and just had to write a companion piece to their amazing story Don't Leave Me Locked In Your Heart.
No warnings, just fluff, but like, really really stupid fluff.
***
In a normal housing situation, you'd be baffled by how quickly your shampoo tended to disappear. You'd carefully measure how much you used each time, eye every roommate with suspicion when they emerged from the bathroom with wet hair. Maybe you'd even hide the bottle in your room between baths for safe-keeping, or fill an empty bottle with something gross to see who came out covered in a gunky mess.
But you didn't live in a normal housing situation, and you didn't have to wonder where all your shampoo was going because the thieving Scot who took it also made you wash his fucking hair with it. Every. Damn. Time. Sometimes even more than once.
"Can't have me gettin' split ends, bonnie," he said knowledgeably. "No' like Simon over there."
You didn't inform him that washing one's hair multiple times in the shower did not make the shampoo work better. You did not point out that he and Simon, being military, both cut their hair too short and too often for split ends. You didn't even accuse him of only knowing what split ends were because it was written on the shampoo bottle.
No, you kept your thoughts to yourself. Because while Johnny was apparently in possession of mad military skills - including manhandling, referring to Simon by his rank, and probably guns or something - they paled in comparison to his true talent: spouting an endless amount of bullshit at you until you accidentally said something sexual in return, and then taking that as an opening to be actually sexual.
Once, when you were fussing over a blemish forming on your nose, Johnny had sworn that you could contract flesh-eating bacteria and he'd still love you, holes and all. You had been physically incapable of stopping yourself from muttering that his love of your holes was what had gotten you into this situation in the first place. Johnny immediately got an evil gleam in his eye, and Simon had laughed. Out loud. Then they took you to bed for an entire day. Literally a full twenty-four hours. You hadn't been able to walk right for almost a week.
So yeah, you'd learned your lesson and you didn't goad Johnny, even when you had something spectacularly clever to say.
"Think you're a bloody show dog now, Johnny?" Simon rumbled. "Yappin' on about your hair like a damn poodle."
"A poodle!" Johnny shouted, affronted. "Am no fuckin' poodle, LT. Naw." He rubbed his hands together, warming up to the subject. "A german shepherd, maybe. Or a doberman. One a' those fuck-off big boys that makes you piss yerself a little when you get too close. What d'you think, hen?"
Oh, there were so many answers you could give to break this man's ego. Breeds they'd have to look up on google to feel the full impact of your devastating wit. But no, you had to stay strong. You pressed your lips into a tight line and maintained a dignified silence.
"Oi, I'm askin' ye a question."
"You ask me a lot of questions, and almost all of them are stupid."
Johnny looked positively offended.
"They are not stupid!"
"'If a guy was on the moon and he jumped hard enough in the right direction do you think he could launch himself back to earth?'" you quoted. "'Do we say things suit people because suits look good on you or is it called a suit because it suits you?' 'If unicorns were real do you think they'd let people ride them and if they did would you attach the reins to their mouth like a normal horse or would you tie 'em around the horn?'"
"All of which are important questions and not at all stupid!"
"Everything is stupid when you're asking it at 3 am, Johnny!"
Simon's eyes were bouncing between the two of you like a tennis match. He looked like he was having the time of his life (in Simon terms, which meant that one corner of his mouth was turned up in a microscopic smirk).
"I cannae help it that my deepest thoughts come late at night," Johnny said solemnly. "An' you're avoiding the most important question: what dog am I?"
"You're a mutt, Johnny," Simon said. "A scraggly little mutt that's gonna get muzzled if it doesn't learn to stop asking stupid questions when people are tryin' to sleep."
Johnny grinned. You weren't sure if he was the sort of person who could shrug off vitriol from anybody, or if he was so over the moon about Simon that he would preen under any kind of attention he got from him. And the last thing you wanted was to feel bad for either of your captors. But damn, the bigger man could be downright mean sometimes.
"Belgian malinois," you said.
"Come again?"
"Mouthy police dog that starts trembling if you order it to stay still for too long," you clarified.
"Sounds about right," Simon muttered.
Johnny cocked his head, mulling over this with extreme deliberation, before pointing at Simon.
"What about him?"
You considered Simon. Big, scary, unflappable Simon. "Shit your pants if you see him in a dark alley" Simon who could definitely rip your head off your body but also somehow gave the best hugs and turned into a pile of goo if you scratched his head right.
"Caucasian shepherd," you announced. "Also known as the Russian bear dog."
Simon nodded. You were pretty sure he had no idea what kind of dog that was and would have agreed with anything that sounded appropriately large or menacing enough.
"Aw fuck off!" Johnny cried. "How come I've gotta be the vibrating cop dog while he gets to be the fucking bear dog?"
"And that's what you get for askin' stupid questions, mutt."
Johnny huffed and pouted for a moment before turning back to you.
"And you, love? What kinda dog are you?"
"I'm a cat," you replied. "Obviously."
Your stomach dropped as that devious spark kindled in Johnny's eyes.
"Too true, kitty, too true," he purred. "Fancy a bit of a chase?"
How the fuck did he always manage to do that???

Let's (re)Read The Great Hunt! Chapter 19: Beneath the Dagger
Tumblr media
Do you still remember the deal? Probably not, huh? It goes like this: this reread has spoilers for the whole dang series. Spoilers for book 1 (kind of expected), book 2 (not uncommon), book 8 (I already ran out of parentheticals), book 10 (just kidding nothing happens in this one), and even book 15 (the one that only super special fans get to read). If you don't want that, don't click Keep reading.
The icon for this chapter is the Horn of Valere as it is the object of Rand's quest and his prize. It's also what our favorite lady in white gets fixated on. They're all very straightforward.
Every day they had been there on the mountainside, watching the place where Hurin said the trail had been, in that other world—where Selene said the Darkfriends would surely appear in this world—he told himself it was time to leave. And Selene talked of the Horn of Valere, and touched his arm, and looked into his eyes, and before he knew it he had agreed to yet another day before they went on.
I suspect that Selene is using Compulsion here and that it's working as much because this is what fate needs to happen as it is what Rand wants to do anyway. He thinks this is all nonsense and a complete long shot but in his gut he knows it's the only way to keep Mat alive, so all Selene is really accomplishing is pushing his surface thoughts out of the way of his true nature. It's borderline therapeutic!
I was happy then, I think, even running for my life. Playing the flute for my supper.
That is not remotely how it was, Rand. You were stressed and exhausted and for every place you got to play for your supper there was another where you got scammed or threatened or worse. It's quite interesting how we romanticize our memories though. One of Rand's bigger problems is that eventually he gets to a point where there's nothing to work with for this delusion, so all the "despair debt" as it were catches up with him in a lump sum.
In the moonlight he could see the shape of Selene, bending over his saddlebags, her hands on the buckles. Her white dress gathered the faint light.
There's something intensely metaphorical about the fact that the woman who has betrayed both sides of the metaphysical conflict at play is herself betrayed by the things that she does claim loyalty to.
“It came to me,” she said, “that I’ve been wearing this dress too long. I could brush it, at least, if I had something else to wear while I did. One of your shirts, perhaps.”
Points to Lanfear though for always having a back-up plan to work her angles.
Her soft laugh sent a shiver down his back, as if she had run a finger along his spine.
Rand doesn't mention goosebumps specifically in this sequence but I bet she really is running weaves of Air around him. Makes her creepier.
“Think of the glory that will come to the one who finds the Horn of Valere. How proud I’ll be to stand beside him who holds the Horn. You have no idea the heights we will scale together, you and I. With the Horn of Valere in your hand, you can be a king. You can be another Artur Hawkwing. You. . . .”
Honestly if Hurin hadn't interrupted her here Rand probably would have rebuffed her pretty hard anyway. Glory is the least of this boy's interests and Lanfear literally can't bring it up without going into this long-winded rant which she almost certainly plans to cap off with "topple the Creator and the Dark One". It's not even all that likely that someone with the Horn could pull off Hawkwing anyway - the world is too divided and the Heroes won't be happy being used for petty political warfare.
No reason to be angry with her.
Here's some other Compulsion Selene pulls off successfully, though the stakes are super low. There's plenty of reason to be mad Rand, even with just the info you have! It's weird she's digging around in your stuff in the middle of the night instead of talking to you about it. It's weird that she's sexually harassing you instead of respecting your boundaries. It's weird that she's clearly lying to you about Portal Stones!
“You don’t know you cannot take it. How many followers does this man have? You don’t know that, either.”
I will give Lanfear credit for actually providing useful tactical advice. Even if her "Get the Horn now!" routine is based entirely in her delusional self-importance, she's not wrong to point out that they should be learning about the enemy camp while they have the chance and the element of surprise. Rand's really more of the big picture strategist in warfare than this kind of skirmish.
“I am capable of guarding myself, until you return to protect me. Take the alantin.”
Nothing suspicious about any of THIS at all. Literally any other Ogier in the world would have called out someone calling them an Old Tongue name only, I think. Loial just doesn't do it because he's so naive.
“Remember the glory,” she said softly. “Remember.”
I think it's pronounced "Memento mori", Lanfear. Someone really should have been whispering that to you.
He wished he could stop thinking, and before he realized it, the void had formed within him, making thoughts distant things, as if part of someone else. Saidin shone at him, beckoned to him.
Being caught between Lanfear and the tainted saidin makes rocks and hard places seem like vacation destinations. But being able to use the void at all means that Tam's training saved Rand from quite a lot of Lanfear's influence I think.
Loial’s huge hand settled over Rand’s mouth, and a good part of his face besides.
This is far funnier to me than it has any intention of being. Breaks up the tension of the scene, which is quite effective but difficult to quote because it builds up over time.
Tam had told him Trollocs were lazy, apt to give up any task but killing unless fear kept them to it.
Really just another demonstration of how the Shadow without the Light is entirely self-defeating.
The Horn of Valere and the dagger Mat needed, both almost within reach of his hand. Selene’s face drifted with the chest. They could follow Fain’s party in the morning, and wait until Ingtar joined them. If Ingtar did come, if he still followed the trail without his sniffer. No, there would never be a better chance. All within reach of his hand. Selene was waiting on the mountain.
Again, points to Selene (from the Light's perspective) because Rand would have utterly wasted this opportunity without her guidance. It really makes me wonder how she got to rise through the ranks to Forsaken at all considering how little she does for the Shadow's agenda. Literally less than the Trollocs and I just got done roasting them.
His hand touched something else, on the lid. The dagger, bare-bladed. In the dark, his eyes widened. Remembering what it had done to Mat, he jerked back, the void shifting with his agitation.
Lucky he didn't cut himself on it. Or perhaps unlucky; if he had cut his hand on it maybe Ishamael would have given him a matching wound there as well instead of any side wounds and it would have been much less miserable in the long run what with Semirhage's post-cleansing amputation of the poor boy.
Even in the night it was plain Loial’s eyes were as wide as they could go; they looked as big as saucers in the light of the moon.
It's these subtle touches that do a good job of emphasizing how uncommonly brave Rand is. Loial is absolutely a trooper for making it this far but even he's got limits.
“I know it is you, al’Thor! You’re hiding from me, but I know you are out there! Find him! Find him! Al’Thoooor!”
It's funny how in this book, which is mostly moving well away from the LotR inspiration that all 80s fantasy novels needed to have, Fain is acting more Gollum-like than ever before.
Rand moved without thought. He was one with the blade. Cat Dances on the Wall. The Trolloc screamed as it fell, screamed again as it died.
Frankly, CDotW sounds less like a standard sword form and more like what mentors joking call it when the new guys start panicking and waving their sword everywhere in a panic, but I guess it works.
The Courtier Taps His Fan. No scream, this time.
In contrast, this particular form sounds much more dignified and controlled. Jordan using these names to describe the action without describing it was a really great touch.
Lizard in the Thornbush. He rose smoothly from one knee as the second toppled, horns almost brushing his shoulder.
I like sword forms okay?
Fain was there, and Darkfriends, and more Trollocs. Too many to fight. Too many to face and live.
As awesome as the forms are, I do have to point out how unbelievable it sounds that Rand just single handedly killed eight Trollocs and is worried about fighting more. Like obviously he will eventually get exhausted but it really feels like he burned through a good chunk of the enemy forces. I'm not really sure how many there are at this point anyway and I'm not sure if that's the text being vague for tension or if I just forgot from earlier chapters because of the break.
“Sometimes I do not understand half of what you say,” Loial said. “If you must go mad, could it at least wait until we are back with the Lady Selene and Hurin?”
Again: Loial is painfully naive. Any other Ogier would have been well aware of exactly how alarming Rand's confession of going mad would be. I'm just gonna say it outright: the Elders were lowkey right not to approve of Loial wandering around in the world on his own. Look at the company he keeps.
As she stretched on tiptoe to put a hand inside, Rand reached over her shoulder and lifted out the Horn of Valere. He had seen it once before, but never touched it. Though beautifully made, it did not look a thing of great age, or power.
Normally I don't approve of tall people using their height to thwart shorties but for Lanfear I must of course make an exception.
And also, I'm sure again: how fucking old IS the Horn anyway? It can't possibly just be going through the whole of the Wheel over and over. Who made it? Why? When? What parts of interacting with the Heroes that the cast just assumes is the natural order of the worldl are in fact only possible because the Horn exists?
“You misunderstand me, Rand,” Selene said. “You cannot go back, now. You are committed. Those Friends of the Dark will not simply go away because you’ve taken the Horn from them. Far from it. Unless you know some way to kill them all, they will be hunting you now as you hunted them before.”
Ugh and now she's made another good point, even though again it's only in her self-interest. Lanfear you are supposed to be crazy. Stop challenging that by actually being helpful.
“Be careful,” Selene said. “Do not cut yourself.”
Once again, one has to wonder how the Forsaken are so familiar with something that was never contemporaneous with any of them except ol' Ballsac.
I am also now struck by the wondering if Lanfear's behavior makes her some third flavor of evil that might also be destructive against the Taint if it only existed in larger qualities than her. Probably not, but... she's closer to pulling it off than anyone else.
“The chest will surely shield us,” Selene said in a tight voice. “And now I mean to finish what is left of my night’s sleep.”
Since the chest is a stasis box, Lanfear is of course quite pissed that Rand has accidentally found a valid solution to their problem.
He gestured to the first Trolloc that had brought him word al’Thor was not to be found. It still snapped at ground muddied with its own blood, hooves scraping trenches as they jerked.
Poor Trolloc. Nobody deserves Fain.
“I am a dog no longer. A dog no longer!” He heard the others shifting uneasily around the fire, but he ignored them.
A fun contrast. Rand protests he will not be made a puppet and aptly demonstrates this by making his own choices whenever possible and wise. Fain protests that he's not a dog even as he plans to follow Rand's metaphorical scent, then he goes barking mad. The Shadow: Not even once.
That wraps up another chapter. Lanfear doesn't deserve any points so I'm taking them all away from her before the chapter break. She's back to 0, tied with virtually every other character! Next time: Fewer points awarded to Lanfear, hopefully. Also: saidin.

day seven is gonna be a tumblr-exclusive since it's not quite long enough to put on ao3 imo and it's part of a longer au i've written
enjoy some hurt/comfort and dorks in love (they don't know it yet)
This was his fault. He should've been quicker. He shouldn't have let Dream out of his sight. If only he wasn't such an idiot.
Dream was dying and it was all his fault.
Techno sighed heavily as he rested his head against his clasped hands, posture slumped forward in his seat. His leg bounced involuntarily, gaze fixed on the old wood floor but not seeing a thing. That moment just kept replaying in his mind. Teeth sinking into Dream's shoulder, the bellow of pain, raw fear in his eyes that Techno couldn't take away. He failed at the one thing he promised to always do. The pact they'd formed together, to protect and watch out for each other, and he failed.
That whole run was a mistake, a waste of ammo, a waste of energy. It had been his idea, and fate decided his punishment would be losing the only person he had left.
It should've been him. It should've fucking been him.
He wasn't sure how long he waited, much less what exactly he waited for. Perhaps the awful groaning of an Infected, or the familiar scent of a rotting corpse. But, it wasn't either of those that had him jumping to his feet.
"Techno...?" A raspy, muffled voice came from within the room. He knew Dream told him to wait at least an hour, just to be sure, but he was tired of sitting around doing nothing.
Techno opened the door just enough to peer inside. Dream still laid in the same position on the bed Techno had put him in, staring blankly at the ceiling. "Dream? Ya good, man?"
"Can you... can you get me some water?" He asked, sounding out of breath.
"Yeah, of course, man." Techno left to retrieve one of their canteens from the reserves they'd built up since, obviously, their most recent food run hadn't been successful.
When he returned, Dream had managed to pull himself up into a sit, leaning against the headboard. His skin was flushed and sweaty, eyes glazed over, and hair mussed. He took the offered container and, after a small thanks, promptly downed it all.
Techno sat at the edge of the bed, placing the canteen on the nightstand when Dream handed it back to him. "How ya feelin'?"
With a cringe, Dream croaked, "Like shit... but, not dead. Yet, anyway."
"Every person that we've seen so far, Dream, turned almost instantly."
"We can't be sure... What if it's just... really slow for me?"
"And what if you're immune? I'm tryna be optimistic here, man."
"Immune? You really did... watch too many movies..."
"I'm serious. Think about it, Dream. People who get bit turn in literal seconds. It's been almost an hour later and you're still you."
"Yeah, me with the worst fever I've ever had..."
"It's better that turnin', man. Anythin' is better than that." Techno slipped his hand in Dream's, rubbing soothingly over his knuckles.
Dream simply hummed in response, eyes slipping closed. "Hey, Tech?"
"Yeah?"
"What if we're the only ones left?" Dream reopened his eyes, seemingly more aware now as he looked to his companion.
"Don't talk like that, man. We're gonna find your family and they'll be okay."
"But what if they aren't? What if it's just you and me?"
Techno exhaled softly, contemplating how to phrase his response. "If that's true, then... honestly, Dream, there's no one else I'd rather spend the apocalypse with."
Dream gave a small smile and huffed a laugh. "I knew you were a sap..."
"Only because of you, nerd." He watched Dream's eyelids flutter again, clearly struggling to remain open. "You should get some rest, Dream."
"I know... Will you, could you stay? Just until I fall asleep..."
"Yeah, man. I'll be right here, long as ya need me to." Techno smiled and Dream reciprocated.
Even if Dream was immune, it still was too close a call. Techno couldn't let something like this happen again. He would never make the same mistake twice.

✨Naruto is a romance novel ✨ or an essay about Five Kage Summit Arc.
I'm watching Naruto and I can't believe what I'm seeing. Naruto lays on his futon and talks to himself: 'I wonder what Sauke is doing... Does he think about me...' and I just start laughing because is this for real?
It's a funny full circle. I watched Naruto very long ago and shipped ns, but I always thought that there was something a bit off with me for seeing romantic tropes where there weren't any. But actually, actually, what I also did was read a bunch of romance novel as a kid. And guess what, Naruto perfectly follows the steps of those books, so, naturally, as a young teen I accepted it as such.
What a relief. The source material is to blame.
so, I've got to the Five Kage summit arc and I have things to say. 1. We know now that one day Naruto woke up and decided that Sasuke is one of the most important people in his life, and he refused to change his mind, ever. That's literally the set up. 2. naruto loves sasuke. wow, I didn't realise how strong his feelings were. The way he longs for Sasuke is just unbelievable. I hate Sasuke so much; he's anything but likeable character; he's a little shit; BUT. When you see just HOW much Naruto, sweet precious Naruto, loves him, you start thinking: maybe there's something about Sasuke?
no, the answer's no, by the way.
My heart aches for Naruto, but I was raised in an orthodox christian community, so I know how love can be percieved as painful and sacrificial (which somehow makes it sacred and therefore right). But that's something to explore another day.
3. There are two major conflicts/obstacles to Naruto's love: society ('the world full of hate') and Sasuke himself.
While everyone treats his obsession as 'a phase' or a silly dream, Naruto never even considers letting go of his love and of his idea of peace. He has to resolve both conflicts.
4. What happens in the 5 Kage Summit arc really is really a test to Naruto's determination. It's time to establish once and for all: is this all about Sasuke, or maybe it's time for Naruto to find anther goal ('what would a Kage do'), and another love (Sakura's confession)?
Naruto had just found his own stance. Nagato helped him understand that he would not give up on hope; that his path to peace would not be bloody. It's a fragile position; Naruto couldn't even articulate it very well while talking to Nagato. Except for 'I will not give up.' And he wouldn't, but he hadn't picked his measures yet. So he's under an illusion that he has almost resolved his first conflict.
But here is when the news of Sasuke crush him the most. Sasuke is an Akatsuki, Sasuke is unreachable, Sasuke can 'only see darkness.' Naruto needs the world to not be at war; he swore to make it happen. Sasuke wants the opposite.
Sasuke is drunk with power. During his attack on Kages he's careless with his new powers, he's smiling like he's true evil, he finally lets himself fully flower with his own strength, bask in it. In a way, it is beautiful. It's pure. He avenged, he's accepted the evil in him, he's free from the hero's curse of always choosing sides and being right or wrong, because when you've picked the ultimate evil, you can no longer be wrong, and it's the most freeing thing there is. (is this why we consciously choose to 'fail' in life sometimes, all rising from perfectionism?)
Naruto is in agony. Here, it really seems that he will give up. The world is against him (the war has just been declared - his mission of peace is unachievable), and the door to Sasuke seems to have shut completely.
So, the plot logically delivers.
A lovers' suicide pact, god. This is a crucial moment to Naruto, I think. He realises now that he will never be able to give up on Sasuke, even if Sasuke is in the 100% wrong now. This is when he knows his love, and, within the paradigm of this world, he acknowledges it as a deadly sin. So be it; he can fight the oppressors of his village without ever giving up, but now, the stigma of this love is so heavy that he can longer live with it. How fucking grand is that. How Romeo-and-Juliet. 5. He has to reach Sasuke, and only true love might persevere through this. Their bond never fully breaks (I know your heart and you, mine), but we're far from there yet.
And this is beautiful. this is why I can't accept any other explanation of their bond, of their story, except for it being star-crossed love.

Omg. The beauty and the beast au was AMAZING??? Wow I did not expect to be so obsessed with it omg, you did it again. Would LOVE to see more from it, or even Gil's POV. Incredible job!!
Gil tossed aside another book. This was the third shop they'd tried and still, no word about anything even resembling a 'curse', nor how to dispel one.
Not that Gil had been a big believer in beasts or curses or magic before, of course. He wasn't surprised that there were no books on them in town. But he had spent all winter getting to know a very specific beast, with a very specific curse.
And he had brought her home with him.
Every since breaking Thena's curse, he had been ravenously curious about...how--what had done it? He had thought that his kiss was what had broken the curse for her (and he still blushed thinking about it). But that didn't make much sense.
As Thena had told him, the curse had been placed on her family line for generations. She was the last of the line with it, the youngest of them to possess the curse before her family disappeared. But then, if all it took was a kiss to break it, how had no one broken it before? How had they had generations of kids with the curse? And who were Thena's family, for that matter?
There were too many questions, and the castle hadn't had any answers. All it had were terribly cold rooms--too cold for Thena, now that she was bound completely to a human form. He'd asked if she was sure she was ready to leave the only home she'd ever known, but with his promise of being together...she'd followed him.
She'd helped him pack up everything they wanted from the castle and headed down the mountain with him. He'd shown her the modest little cabin he'd built with his own two hands, sheepish to unveil it after she'd lived her life in a literal palace (as in ruin as it had been).
But she loved it. She loved it as much as anything else he'd made with is own two hands, forever marvelling at how he could craft something from nothing in such a human way.
Gil looked looked down at the main floor of the shop, where Thena was also pawing through books. She'd found so many to bring home already. He really hadn't planned on buying so many, but she'd been reading the same books for...ever. And how could he say no when she looked at him with those eyes?
"Gil!" she smiled up at him, as if having suspected his eyes were on her. She waved and then pointed at the book in her hands, "this one is about Excalibur!"
She loved books with swords in them. Gil put his latest useless find back on the shelf and headed for her downstairs, slinging the increasingly heavy rucksack over his shoulder.
She swayed with excitement, and he had taken a little time to realise it was almost akin to how she might have once had a tail to wag in excitement. Little things like that were almost too cute to bear, with her. "It's about this group of knights who help some kid named Arthur become king by pulling this sword out of a rock!"
Gil just chuckled, happy to let her glee soak into him and ease his fatigue. She had so much wonder for the world she'd deliberately avoided for so long. She had also told him of observing people from afar while she'd been a fox, but he was seeing more and more of how little she'd really been around people.
She closed the book, eyeing the bag over his shoulder.
He caught the look, though, taking the book in hand before she could put it back. "Hey, what's one more, right?"
She glanced between him and the bag anxiously. "You could always let me carry it, you know."
His smile only grew, though. He drew the book to his side, fully intent on buying it now. "Hey, maybe I wanna read this one."
Thena let out a faint laugh, following him to the counter. "We were supposed to be looking for books about my...condition."
"And instead we found books we'll actually read," he excused easily. And true, they hadn't found any useful books, so just as well they found something Thena was going to actually like instead. He slid the book forward on the counter. "Just this."
The old man smiled past his white moustache, "treating the wife to some shopping, eh?"
Gil turned pink to his ears. "I-I-I, uh-"
Thena bumped her hip against his, her dress and cloak swaying from the movement. "He's too good to me."
Oh, if only she knew that he could never be good enough to her.
"You two take care, now," the older man waved as they departed, chuckling as Gil attempted to get out any words whatsoever.
"He was nice," Thena remarked easily, though. She looked up as the door bell tinkled above their heads upon their exit. Things like that entertained her endlessly. Her hand touched the underside of the bag, testing its weight lightly against her palm. "Maybe we should head home for today?"
Gil smiled, taking her hand in his and tangling their fingers together. Thena continued to glow from even the smallest touches of affection, and it continued to charm in him to the bone. "One more?"
She beamed at him, already outwardly excited. "One more."
Gil leaned forward, giving her cheek a quick peck. He delighted in how colour spread in her cheeks, as easy to spot as a rose petal in the snow. Nonetheless, her hand squeezed against his, which he returned.
"Oh, what about that one?" Thena was already running to the next shop with a book in its front window. She whipped the door open, delighting in the bell that jingled to announce her arrival.
Gil followed her, closing the door behind him. She was already walking with her head up, eyes scanning the shelves. He turned back to the front display, reaching forward for the book that had been in the window.
The picture on the cover looked like a stained glass window--an eerily familiar stained glass window, the remains of which he had only glimpsed briefly. But the picture in full depicted a family, it seemed, and a white rose, and a wolf or a fox. The family all had blond hair, but only the little girl seemed to have green eyes.
It was a long shot, but it just hit a few too many of the right notes to be ignored. Gil opened the book, flipping through. It was a story book, as he'd suspected. The tale was about a family, some distant form of royalty. The mother was from a line of cursed women who always managed to hand the curse down to their children, no matter who they found for their daughters to marry, whether they be princes or noblemen or knights. But they were always chosen for them, it seemed.
"Find something?"
"Maybe," he murmured, looking over at Thena, tilting her head to look at the cover sideways. "Look familiar?"
"Somewhat," she pursed her lips at it, "I'm not sure I can place where I've seen it, though."
Maybe she didn't remember what the stained glass at the castle looked like whole. Gil closed the book. They could read it together, if it wasn't upsetting for Thena. "I think it could be worth looking into."
Thena snatched the book out of his hands, a determined look in her eyes. "I'll buy this one."
He smiled, following her to the front counter. "You don't have to-"
"I had some money stashed away," Thena began before remembering how much of her life they were trying to keep to themselves, "up there."
"Just this, Miss?"
"Yes, please!" she smiled, slapping down coins so shiny they were almost suspicious for it. But obviously they had never exchanged any hands.
"Have a nice day, then."
"And you," she waved, holding the book to her chest like precious cargo.
Gil was honestly just glad to see her happy to be out and about. She'd been anxious about coming into town, worried about how she might be received. Even as a full time human, he supposed he couldn't blame her for remembering how humans had treated her most of her life. It had taken a lot to get her to come into town with him the first time.
Thena tapped the book against her shoulder and held out her hand, wiggling her fingers at him. "Coming?"
He nodded, slipping his hand into hers, letting her decidedly lace their fingers together. He could continue to worry about all this later, and he was sure he would. But he could worry about it all with Thena beside him, in the comfort of their cabin home at the bottom of the mountain.

Das Haus Anubis Story.....
This Story takes place between the episodes 57 to 59 of Season 2.
Daniel went to his room. His heart felt heavy and a stab of pain shot through his chest. His breathing felt heavy and shaky. He couldn't believe that Nina could do this to him. His Nina! He really thought she loved him too. But how could he be wrong about that.
The last few days they had been so happy and in love. It had taken so long for them to finally get together. It hurt him that Nina could do that to him. He secretly hoped he was wrong. That there was a small hope that nothing had happened between the two.
Daniel sat down on the chair and sighed
But it had been pretty clear when they both came out of the laundry room. Nina's guilty look, Benny's smug grin and his innuendos towards Nina. It hurt. Daniel didn't want to imagine what the two of them had been doing in the laundry room.
At that moment Kaya came in. He was wearing his green tracksuit. He threw his gym bag in the corner and laid down on his bed, exhausted.Daniel looked back at Kaya who was lying on his bed. "Aren't you going to the party?
Kaya sat down. He hadn't even seen Daniel before. "I don't want to. Benny is here. Magnus and Mara are kissing each other and in case I forgot, Benny is here."
Daniel looked puzzled. "I thought you were over Mara." It didn't seem to Daniel that he loved Mara very much. The two had been separated for almost a month and they had only been together for 4 months. "
Yeah yeah I am too." Kaya deviated. "It's still weird to see your ex making out with someone else."
"Then maybe we'll have something in common soon." Daniel mumbled so incomprehensibly that Kaya barely understood him.
Kaya looked puzzled. " What do you mean with that?"
Daniel bit his lower lip. Desperately he tried to find an excuse but he knew it was useless. Kaya would be terribly upset about that. "I think Nina and Benny kissed." he said so quietly, hoping that Kaya hadn't understood him.
But Kaya understood every word. Exasperated, he got up from his bed. "You what?!" Daniel immediately blocked it. "I'm not sure either. I didn't see it... He was just hinting at it and..." Daniel stammered.
Kaya sighed. " What happened?"
Daniel glanced at the ceiling. There was still a heavy lump on his heart. "I saw the two of them come out of the laundry room. First Nina. She could barely look at me. She looked like she had done something bad. Shortly afterwards Benny came out and gave her an air kiss. Then Nina ran up the stairs . "
Kaya shook his head in horror. "This damn little...' Kaya stopped. He couldn't imagine Nina doing something like that. She always seemed so sweet and innocent to him. Besides, she was in love with Daniel. "Are you sure? I mean did you talk to Nina?"
Daniel shook his head.
At that moment Benny came into the room. Kaya turned and looked at him with a murderous look. He was still wearing the white tank top that Daniel had seen him coming out of the laundry room a few minutes ago. His hair was still wet and stuck to his forehead. Benny ignored Kaya's gaze and he looked at Daniel. He laughed inwardly at Daniel's desperate expression. What a loser, he thought. Benny reached for the closet and looked for something to wear. He hummed loudly to himself. He was just fine. Nina had just kissed him.
"Your girlfriend is a really good kisser." Benny said suddenly. Daniel's eyes widened. So it was true. Daniel's worst fear had come true.
Kaya's eyes darkened. He looked at the blond guy in disgust. "You're a bloody lousy rat." Kaya literally spat with fire.
Benny rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Not my fault Kay Kay if women want me." That hurt Daniel.
"And of course you always have to throw yourself at those who are already in a relationship. First with me and Raphaela and then with Daniel and Nina."
"You're just jealous." Benny defended himself. " " Besides, Nina wanted it too. She said it herself."
Kaya was disgusted how Benny tried to talk his way out of it. And it hurt Daniel terribly to hear Benny talk about how he kissed his girlfriend. He could hardly say anything.
"I think we're together now." Benny continued.
It didn't seem to interest him at all how hurt Daniel was right now and how badly he had hit him with these words." I was just in her room..." Daniel had had enough with that.Angrily he got up from the bed.
His eyes were slightly damp. His fingers pointed menacingly at Benny. "Now listen to me! That between Nina and me is something special, you won't break it." Kaya looked proudly at Daniel. He was glad that his best friend finally stood his ground.
Benny started to laugh. "What special?" he asked implausibly. "If your girlfriend has something with another guy."
Daniel fell silent. To make matters worse, Benny put one on it. "She must really love you very much." he said in a sarcastic tone. Then he left the room.
There was a brief silence in the room. "You have to talk to Nina." Kaya said.
"And what's the point? You just heard him."
Kaya shook his head. " Benny likes to exaggerate but when you talk to her then..."
Daniel interrupted him. "But I don't want to. She chosed Benny. I should have listened to you."
Kaya said nothing more.
The two went to bed very early. Benny came back after about 2 hours. He changed his clothes and was about to go to bed until he noticed that Kaya was still awake. He walked over and bent over the boy's head.
"You know when you said I would destroy all relationships. Only those who didn't have a chance anyway. And if you don't believe me. This Mara didn't want to have anything to do with me from the start. She's dating this what's his name again Magnus. No chance, for her i'm nothing and for Nina I'm a delicious little candy." Little is good, thought Kaya.
"And now guess who of the two is really in love with their boyfriend. I mean Nina is really great. She deserves better than Daniel. I don't understand why she even got together with him in the first place."
"Just shut up," Kaya mumbled. He put the pillow on his head to avoid Benny's chatter.
Benny grinned and slipped under Daniel's bed. "I'll dream of her tonight. And I'm sure she will too. It's something very special between us." Satisfied, Benny fell asleep. Kaya glared at him angrily and he turned to face the wall.
Neither of them knew that Daniel was still awake and heard everything. He turned around. Soft tears fell down his face, which he wiped away with his sleeve.

Nina laid in her bed, she couldn't sleep. She had just realized that she had made a huge, huge mistake. She needed to speak to Daniel. Urgently. She couldn't wait until tomorrow. Nina looked at Delia who slept soundly.
Delia had been stunned when she told her that she had kissed Benny. After that she had comforted Nina. Nina never wanted to hurt Daniel so much. He was always there for her when she was down. She didn't want to lose him.
Nina quietly opened the door. She quickly closed them again when she saw someone walking past in the aisle. It was Magus. But what was he doing up here? He was probably with Mara, she thought. The two also disappeared earlier from the party. Nina waited a few minutes and quietly opened the door. Nina carefully crept down the stairs to Victor's office. Her heart was pounding against her chest with fear.
She didn't know what to say at all. Was there any excuse for that at all? The only thing she hoped was that Daniel could forgive her. Somehow. She also wanted to know why he had never said anything. Was Benny right after all? Is Daniel not interested in her at all? Nina knocked on the room door. To Nina's horror it was not Daniel who opened the door but Benny and he immediately tried to get close to her again. But Nina told him clearly that she wanted to talk to Daniel.
Benny probably thought that the two were together now. Benny was still in her room shortly afterwards. Nina had kissed him again. This time the kiss lasted a little longer. Somehow Nina knew it was wrong, but she liked it. He was so incredibly handsome and he was so experienced and he was interested in her. Now she could only puke when she looked at him. When she later saw him trying to flirt with Delia, Charlotte and Luzy, a shudder ran down her spine. Despite what the three did to him he still tried. Delia was right. He even tried with Mara but she ignored him and Magnus glared at him.
When she realized that it was no use, she wanted to leave. " See you tomorrow." she timidly said.
" See you tomorrow." replied Benny and tried to kiss her but Nina backed away and left.
Daniel, who was still awake in his bed, heard everything. Why did Nina want to speak to him? Hadn't she chosen Benny after all?
♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧
The next morning everyone was already seated at the breakfast table except for Nina and Daniel. The residents were in a heated conversation.
"Is it over between the two now?" Felix asked. He took a big bite out of his peanut butter sandwich and slurped.
"I don't know." said Delia. She looked disgusted at Felix who once again did credit with his disgusting table manners.
At that moment Daniel walked in. He was still wearing his pajamas and he looked like he hadn't slept at all. He sat down at the table without a word and took a piece of bread with Nutella. He ignored the looks of the others. When they were still staring at him, he annoyed put the knife down.
"No, I don't know what's up with Nina and me. And if you really want to know, it's best to ask her yourself." Daniel got up and took his plate with him. He would continue eating in his room.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
Nina hadn't seen Daniel at school. She kept looking around for him but she couldn't find him. Did he stay at home? Was he that bad because of her At the same time, she had to avoid Benny. But Delia said she had to talk to Benny. Nina had to dump him.
She later did so. When he refused to accompany her to the hospital because her grandmother got worse, Nina was appalled. She didn't know what to expect either.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Daniel had stayed at home all day. He had been able to convince Rosie that he wasn't feeling well. He sat on the sofa and stared thoughtlessly straight ahead.
At that moment Luzy and Charlotte came in. They were very excited. "We're going camping!" they shouted. When they both saw Daniel sitting on the sofa, they stopped. Charlotte knew that Luzy knew him better and she went to him.
"Hey what's the matter with you?" asked Luzy. Daniel said nothing. "Is it about Nina?"
Daniel sighed. "Yes no. It doesn't matter." He kept silent.
Luzy couldn't stand this icy silence. "We won a competition. We're all going camping this weekend in the Hirschbachtal." Daniel didn't care. Luzy was annoyed when Daniel didn't even respond.
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
Nina couldn't believe that Daniel actually cycled to the hospital just to comfort her. She cried herself in his arms. It felt so good that he was here. She couldn't believe that she wanted to leave him How could she be so stupid. The two stayed there for 2 hours and then walked out. On the way to their bikes, Daniel asked what was bothering him
"Did you really kiss him?" he asked her.
Nina swallowed. She looked at Daniel in the dark. She didn't Dare to hurt him.
" Yes, I have." she said softly.
Daniel looked down. His eyes filled with pain. "Why?" he asked.
Nina shrugged. " I don't know."
"Are you into him?" Daniel asked her.
" No!" said Nina quickly. She bit her lip.
Daniel wanted to believe her. But she had kissed him anyway. "Then why did you kiss him?" Nina didn't know what to say. It was awful. How could she betray him? The two drove back to the house of Anubis in silence.
When the two stood in the entrance hall, Nina tried to talk to him again. . "Daniel. You really didn't seem to mind. The thing with Benny."
"I trusted you." Daniel had hit her in the heart with that, he had trusted her and she had screwed it up.
"Do you think we can try again? Maybe?" Nina looked at him desperately.
But Daniel couldn't forget that Nina's lips were on Benny's while the two were together. "Nina. I'm so sorry. But that's no longer possible."
Nina felt a heavy lump in her throat. " Never again?"
"Friends. But no more." Then he left. Nina looked after him desperately. What had she done? She had her first boyfriend in 18 days and now it was all over. With a heavy heart, Nina dragged herself upstairs.

--- and he knows, in return, that Lucifer is going to argue just as much right back, and for Alastor? It was already a losing battle. He can only go against His Majesty's orders for so long before it became a form of treason, even if it was only out of the king's best interest. " And if you are harmed while we are gone? Or KILLED? Then what? Nobody can protect you like I can, Lulu. Nobody can--- "
He wants to... WHAT now?
Whatever Alastor had been fixing his lips to say is lost entirely to Lucifer's proposal... Lucifer's literal, genuine, well and true proposal. Though they'd affectionately called each other hubby, husband, any other variation of the term in private amidst the rare moments of alone time they got, Alastor hadn't expected it to ever become REALITY, no matter how much the idea of actually marrying Lucifer sounded like a beautiful dream.
" If I didn't know any better, I'd almost believe you said the M-Word. How silly, yes? "
Lucifer is the king, after all, and Alastor is naught more than his knight. To marry him meant--- " Lulu. Do you realize what you're saying, my dear? I... I am not certain if the intensity of the situation has somewhat clouded your thoughts, but to marry me would make me the king alongside you. I am not fit to be king--- ahaha, come now, surely you are kidding? " A pause. " You... you ARE kidding, right? Lulu? "
@radiodaemon
It was cute, really. How it had taken Alastor a few moments to realize just what the king had said. The look upon his face made him smile so sweetly. He had to restrain himself from laughing, as the other may believe him to be jesting. But he would never. Not about something as serious as his desire to have Alastor as his husband. To be able to truly call him his.
"You think it's silly?"
Those hands he'd just been tenderly kissing were pressed to the blond's chest, letting Alastor feel the quick-paced rhythm of his heart. "My love, there is a time and place for jokes, but this isn't one of them. I am very much serious about this. I want to call you my husband. I want to put a ring on your finger and spend the rest of my life with you. You are my life and I'm nothing without you in it. Rule by my side, love me as the man I am. Be my king."
With every word, Lucifer kept his gaze locked with Alastor's. And in those eyes, anyone could see he was speaking the truth. Every. Single. Word. And the flutter of his heart did not cease. Oh, the fear of rejection still hung within him. It mattered not how certain he was of Alastor's love for him. That fear was what had kept him from asking for his hand sooner.

"Is it hot in here or is it just me?~"
Hero's irritation was almost tangible. "Villain, the building's literally on fire."
"Yet," Villain said casually as they fanned their face, "it still doesn't compare to me."
Hero's eye twiched.
They grabbed Villain's cape- which looked far too flammable- and tossed it aside before the urge to toss Villain themself became too strong.
Their foe gasped, utterly betrayed.
"Okay," they said after a calming breath. "What are your powers?"
But all Villain did was cross their arms. Hero waited, but apparently Villain thought it a good idea to be childish while the place went up in flames.
Hero nearly forgot about the danger, and had to bite the inside of their cheek to keep themself from cursing. "I could always just leave you behind—"
Villain gasped. Again.
Wonderful.
"Aren't you supposed to be a Hero?"
Heroes only have so much patience, they thought, but said "Yes."
"Well then act like one! Besides, you can't just walk out!"
Hero nearly clawed their own face off because yes, they could, and they should.
Hero was fireproof, they really could just walk right out. The only reason they hadn't was Villain, because despite their foolish tendency to think that nothing could harm them, fire very much could.
Villain would die if Hero didn't save them.
Besides, even if the opposite wasn't true, Hero had heard of them; The criminal acted like an arrogant, dramatic child but was somehow never able to be contained.
Hero had had the displeasure of watching them on TV; they always relied on gadgets they made-and bragged about- to win the fight. But the heroes knew Villain had a power, they must have.
But they had to admit, meeting them in person was a whole different experience, it just didn't compare. Having them there, up close, and hearing their useless (but begrudgingly funny) commentary about the most random things...
Hero honestly didn't know whether to kick them or laugh.
They took another breath instead. "Look."
Villain met their eyes, forcing back a cough as the smoke thickened and thickened.
"If we want to get out of here, we are going to need a plan." Hero was right in front of them now, and Villain flinched.
It was almost as if...
As if Hero was scarier than the danger they were in.
Hero narrowed their eyes.
"Why are you...?" their brows furrowed, but then it clicked. "Villain."
The criminal looked away.
"Villain."
"What?!"
"Can you leave?"
Villain opened and closed their mouth aimlessly.
"N-no!" They said, but it sounded too much like a question. Hero was going to kill them if the fire didn't do it first.
A slight blush rose to Villain's cheeks, but before Hero could process it, Villain started coughing.
"Villain, what is your power?" Hero insisted, squeezing their shoulders.
"Tele—" a hard cough, "teleportation."
Hero stared. It made sense; that was why Villain wasn't scared, when they had every right to be, and why they kept slythering out of any means of containment. What didn't make sense, however, was this:
"Then why the fuck are you still here?"
Villain's expression turned from guarded to guilty.
"I-i can only teleport myself, I can't-get us both out—" they got their sleeve over their nose, trying and failing to breathe.
Something a lot like panic jumped up to Hero's throat and they grabbed Villain's shoulders tighter.
"Villain leave! The fire won't hurt me."
They didn't buy it. "Is this some kind of hero thing..." but they trailed off just when Hero stuck their hand in the fire;
It was no different than air would have been.
Villain's wide eyes met theirs. In them was hesitancy, and something far too vulnerable, but Villain was gone before Hero could explain it.
For a disorienting moment all Hero could do was stare at nothing, before they shook their head and started walking.
They managed to get out of the building with nothing but a few scars, after having checked for civilians. It was late, and the building had seemed empty, but Hero wasn't going to risk it.
Still, they couldn't get what had happened out of their head. Villain didn't leave because they said it was impossible to get both of them out.
Hero leaned against a wall, knees suddenly weak.
Villain had told them what their power was, despite hiding it from the public for months. But they told Hero. They told them because Villain didn't think they would survive.
Villain had stayed for them.
As their heart flipped in confusion and their eyes met the stars they wondered something else too:
Had Villain been so difficult and bratty on purpose? Had they attempted to keep Hero's focus on them instead of the dangerous situation they were in? Worst of it all was, had Hero trully been in danger, it would have worked. They would have no time to panic when they were so exasperated...or when they were holding back laughs.
But maybe Hero was seeing only what they wanted to see.
They made their way towards their house slowly, trying to ignore the foolish hope blooming in their chest; there was no way Villain would show up again, and Hero shouldn't have wanted them to.
Thing was, Villain could have easily been working with Supervillain, despite Hero's silly heart insisting that they didn't. It would have been simple; Supervillain sets the building on fire and Villain stays and stalls, up until the roof finally collapses. And then they leave without as much as a scratch.
Truth be told, Hero's abilities only went so far, and several solid, hard pounds of cement dropping on them wasn't exactly something they could just walk away from.
The criminals would have won.
Some things still didn't make sense. If that was the plan then why would Villain leave before their part was done? And why bother mentioning their powers at all?
Hero huffed, getting their hand through their messy, dusty hair. They reached for their doorknob- and stilled.
Sticking out remarkably was a note. Hero took it off the door and were surprised when they didn't need a signature to know who it was from.
Even the brat's handwriting was over the top. Hero smirked.
They were getting their answers after all.

Cassian Andor X Reader: Rescue Mission
Tumblr media
Stay on the ship.
That's what Cassian said just before he left, taking Jyn with him and leaving you to sulk in the hull. You would be lying if you said you weren't annoyed by it. Not only had he left you with K-2 he left you with literally nothing to do. K-2 hadn't been happy about it either. You could tell that from the moment Cassian hadn’t taken the blaster away from Jyn. You know, the girl that you shouldn't be trusting this quickly. The droid had started to complain but was stopped by Cassian's strong hand gesture of “zip it”. So now you had to hear K-2 rant about how absurd his owner had acted.
“He let her keep it. Give a blaster to the girl, what a grand idea. It's not like she could use it against you.”
Normally you would have laughed at his sarcastic quips, but you were not in the mood right now. You were still trying to understand why Cassian hadn't taken you. It wasn't like K-2 needed help to guard the ship, you'd even argue that due to him being a droid he was more capable than any of you at such a task.
It was possible that Cassian had thought it better to leave the ship with someone he trusted. After all, “killing” a droid would be a considerably easy task if you were really desperate, something you were sure people around here could be described as. And even though you were sure K-2 would have put up a fight, maybe even gotten a message to you and Cassian through the commlink, it might not be enough. By the time you and Cassian made it back he would already be dead, and your ship would be long gone. You looked up at the droid still muttering words of outrage.
You hadn't expected to like him so much.
When you had first seen K-2 you had been afraid. He was far larger than any other droid you had met, and he was fighting for the other side, or at least that's what he had been programmed to do. It wasn't until he saved you on a mission that you decided to trust him completely. He became a sort of family member to you and even though some would just consider him a hunk of metal the thought of losing him made your heart hurt.
You were sure Cassian felt the same about the droid, even if he wouldn’t admit it to anyone. You could see it in the way he spoke to him, the way you would treat an annoying friend who you can't help but love.
“He wants to keep us safe.”
The words had come out of your mouth before you had even processed them completely. K-2 stopped speaking and turned to face you. The lights that made up his eyes met your own and you smiled up at him.
“I’m not saying that I think what he did was right. Far from it actually. I just think there is a good reason behind it.”
The droid just kept looking at you and even though his expression did not change you could almost imagen that he was smirking down at you.
“What is it?”
“You always defend him.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means exactly what I said.”
You gave the droid an annoyed face.
“All I'm saying is that he loves you and doesn't want anyone to hurt you. That's probably why he went alone with her, because he thinks he can handle her by himself if he needs to.”
K-2 stared at you for a moment before turning back to the panel he had been messing with. You fiddled with your hands impatiently, repeating your words over in your head. Like that would make them true.
“You don't have to be jealous.”
You stopped moving your hands, your head rising from its prior position to rest on the wall behind you.
“I don't know what you're talking about.” you said, closing your eyes.
“He loves you too. Possibly more than he loves me.”
Even though you knew K-2 didn't mean it in the way you were thinking it you couldn’t help but blush.
“Don't say that.”
“Why not?”
“You'll just give me false hope K. And it's not like I need any more of that.” you muttered, opening your eyes.
The droid was about to respond when you heard a loud explosion coming from the town.
“So much from blending in.”
“Come on.” you said racing from your chair towards the weapons cabinet.
You grabbed a blaster for yourself and ran out of the ship.
“Where are you going?” K-2 questioned.
“I’m going to save our idiot. Are you coming?”
The droid stood at the door of the ship for a moment, before stepping out and closing the hatch behind him.
“Took you long enough.” you yelled at him before racing towards the town once more.
Even from far away you could hear the sound of blasters firing. You picked up the pace, heart hammering in your chest.
Please be okay. Please be okay. Please be okay.
You had barely made it to your destination when you saw him, blaster in one hand taking down troopers left and right. Even though the situation was less than ideal, just seeing him made you relax a little. It wasn't until you heard a shot pass near your ear that you realized you had just been standing there, in the middle of a fire zone. You sprang into action, shooting the enemies near you and clearing a path towards Cassian. He hadn’t seen you yet and maybe that was for the best. You didn't want to risk him losing focus.
Your eyes scanned the area looking from Jyn.
She had four troopers surrounding her but seemed to be handling it just fine. She was kicking their asses and you couldn’t help but grin. That's when you saw the fifth one coming from behind her. She wouldn't see him in time. You raised your blaster, took aim and fired, hitting the enemy in the head. Jyn’s head turned backwards at the sound of the body hitting the ground. Then her head shot your way, her eyes meeting yours and she nodded a silent “thanks” which you answered with your own small nod of “welcome”. The two of you raced towards Cassian, who upon seeing you gave a scowl.
“I thought I to-”
“Shut up Cassian!” you yelled, turning your back to him and shooting another trooper in the head.
When you turned back Jyn was smiling and Cassian had a shocked expression on his face. You looked around, searching for your next target. Just as you turned to the side you heard a blaster fire.
Your eyes went wide once you saw the KX-series droid fall to the ground, letting out a little squeak of pain as you looked down at the droid.
“Did you know that wasn't me?”
The familiar voice made you raise your head, small tears falling from your eyes as you realized that it hadn't been your droid Jyn had shot. You rushed towards him, arms wrapping around his waist, considering that was where you could reach. K-2 gave your head a small pet before you let go of him.
“What are you two doing here?” Cassian questioned, the annoyance clear in his tone.
K-2 stepped forward grabbing a grenade from one of the troopers and chucking it at the upcoming soldiers.
“There were a lot of explosions for two people blending in.”
You laughed at his comment, glad to not have lost either of your boys. Jyn was about to say something when you heard a voice coming from behind you.
“Where are you taking these prisoners?” A stormtrooper questioned.
You looked at Cassian, a confused expression on your face.
“These are prisoners.” K-2 responded
“Yes. Where are you taking them?”
“I am... taking them... to imprison them... in prison.”
You had to pinch yourself in the arm to hold back the grin that threatened to creep onto your face.
“He's taking us to…”
Cassian had tried to speak, in order to maintain this charade up and avoid exposure but it was met with a harsh slap to the face. Delivered by none other than K-2 himself.
“Quiet! And there's a fresh one if you mouth off again.”
If you hadn't been so shocked by what had just happened, you were sure you would have doubled over from the sheer force of your laughter. K-2 seemed to be enjoying his part in this whole act a bit too much. Then again you couldn't blame him. If you had been given the chance to slap Cassian in his pretty face without him being able to retaliate you would have taken it too.
For a moment it seemed to have worked but then the moment was gone and there were guards dragging you away from K-2. You had wanted to reach for him, fearing what would happen to him once they realized he had been reprogrammed.
You had just turned to look at Cassian when a voice spoke, loud enough to be heard over the troopers.
“Let them pass in peace” the stranger spoke, getting up from his position on the stairs and moving towards the troopers.
It took you only a second to realize he was blind.
You thought about yelling to him that it was okay and that you were handling it, but the thought dispersed when he began to move. The moment the troopers holding you fell to the ground Cassian grabbed your hand and pulled you to cover, Jyn and K-2 running alongside you two. You all watched in awe as the stranger took down one stormtrooper after another, seeming to rely purely on instinct. There were more troopers on the way, but they were quickly taken care of by another man. He relied on his weapon instead of instinct and it became apparent a moment later that the two strangers knew each other. The four of you stepped out of your hiding place. Cassian still held your hand and despite all that you had just gone through, the feeling of his hand on yours made your mind go blank. You tuned out everything for a moment just feeling the weight of Cassian's hand which, unlike the feeling of your restraints, was rather pleasant.
You missed the part where K-2 had unbound the three of you and made his way to the ship, upon Cassian order. It wasn't until you felt two pairs of hands pushing you down that you fully snapped out of your daze. You were surrounded again, not by troopers this time, but by what you believed to be soldiers of some kind. Jyn had tried to stop them, revealing the importance of who she was but it only seemed to make matters worse because now you had a sack over your head and where being dragged to Maker knows where.
“We really can't catch a break today.” You said to yourself.
They had put you all into a cell, except for Jyn who they had dragged to someplace else. You guessed it was to see Saw Gererra. The two strangers, who you had learned were called Chirrut and Baze, sat a bit farther away from the door. As for Cassian he stood so close to the door that you were sure that if, for some reason, it opened he would fall through the gap.
“Don’t worry she’ll be fine.” you assured
“What makes you think I'm worried about her?”
“Oh, I don't know. Just the way you’re practically trying to pry the door open with your teeth.”
“If you didn't notice we are stuck in a cell.” he gritted out.
You hated when he did that.
The way he would speak to you like you were an idiot. It made your blood boil.
“I’m not stupid Cassian.” you snapped back, clenching your fists at your side.
“I never said that.”
“Don't have to say it to believe it.” you murmured
“What's that even supposed to mean?” he questioned, turning to face you.
“You know what it means, Cassian.”
You were being a bit of a bitch and you knew it, but you couldn't help it. You were annoyed at the constant fighting you had done all day, your muscles hurt from carrying your blaster and if you were being honest, you were still angry at Cassian for not taking you with him. And now the patronizing comments had gotten your last nerve.
You knew he didn't mean them in that way, you knew he was just as tired and annoyed as you, but in your state of mind you didn't really care. Your mind kept going back to your memories of him, all of them glowing with the bright light that surrounded Cassian every time you saw him. The glow you couldn't get rid of no matter how hard you tried. That glow that made you want to be always with him, the one that made you worry every time that he left on a mission without you and that made your heart clench every time you saw him come back safely. That stupid light that made you want to kiss him and tell him you loved him. And of all the things that infernal glow brought with it, the one you hated the most was the fear that he didn't see you the same way. It surrounded you constantly and sometimes made you act like a complete fool.
“Don't worry lover boy, I'll leave you to it. Good luck rescuing your precious princess.” you sneered, turning to join the others on the further side of the cell.
You had barely turned around when a large hand warped around your wrist, pulling you back toward where you came from.
Before you could even blink your back was pressed up against the wall, Cassian’s arms caging you there. You knew he was strong, but it still surprised you just how strong he could be when he wanted to. Your eyes met his and the look on his face startled you. It was different from the ones you’ve received before. It was full of anger, but there was something else mixed in there. Something you could quite place.
“Cass what-”
“Just be quiet. Will you for once just…be quiet.” he pleaded, eyes staring straight through you.
Your hands were placed on his chest. It had been an automatic move the moment he caged you. They had been put there to ground yourself.
It wasn't really working because you could feel his breathing beneath your fingertips and that was very distracting.
“That stunt you pulled, leaving the ship and coming into town. I was so kriffing worried when I saw you and then... you told me to shut up? That… it… you never talk like that. You never give orders, never bite back like that. You just looked so serious. And I got it because that's exactly what I would have said if it had been the other way around. I would have told you to shut your mouth if I came to rescue you and you started complaining.”
He was talking fast. Like he was afraid that something would happen, and he wouldn't be able to finish what he wanted to say. You knew the feeling, so you stayed quiet and just let him talk to you.
“Because that's what you do right? You save my ass. That is your job. And you're damn good at it. I don't know what…. I don't…”
He took a deep breath, as if saying this next part physically pained him. You held your breath, fear bubbling in your stomach and threatening to spill over.
“I don't know what I would do if I lost you. I don't even want to think about it. But when I saw you there, in the middle of those troopers, it was all I could think about. You’re well...kriff...you're everything to me, okay? This life it's not great. Maker. I don't know if I can even call it good. But seeing you every day, hearing that stupid laugh you make when K says some sarcastic crap or seeing that smile you always have plastered on you face the moment I land on base. That right there, it makes me want to keep fighting. It gives me the strength to keep going because if there's a chance, no matter how slim, that we pull this off and get to actually live. No running, no constant fighting. Then I'm going to do everything I can to get that for you.”
Cassian's breathing is heavy against your own, his eyes full of fear.
You know that look. The look of someone who's been holding all their feelings in for far too long. There are tears in your eyes and your fingers are curling around the fabric of his jacket, trying to keep you from falling to the ground as you process everything that just happened. The bubble of fear and hesitation that has always been there, deep inside of you, seems to just pop. Leaving you to bask in the beautiful glow that is Cassian.
Your fingers move from his chest to his hair, pulling him down in desperation to kiss your lips. He lets out a sigh once your mouths make contact with each other. His hands move from the wall to your waist, holding you flush to his body as if he fears that if he doesn't hold on tight enough, you’ll disappear from his arms.
But that will never happen.
You part your lips, resting your forehead on his chest as he kisses your hair. Your hands make soothing motions on his back. He shifts slightly, cupping your face with his hands and forcing you to look into his eyes.
“I love you.” he whispers
“I love you too.” you mutter back
“How about we get out of here?” he questions, and you smile up at him.
“Sounds like a good start.”

Can someone give me evidence that Warren photoshopped a picture of him and Max together? How the hell does one picture together in photography class mean he photoshopped them together? Like how did you jump to that conclusion? Do you really believe a game involving a villain who specifically takes pictures of drugged women would have a potential love interest do that? Photoshop, steal pictures, and edit a picture without her consent? Cause like really how do ya'll jump to that conclusion and how many hoops did you guys have to jump through? How did you jump to the conclusion he's a creep when he doesn't expect shit out of Max nor has entitled behavior. Hell, imo Chloe has somewhat more entitled behavior along with Victoria but he's the one considered a creep and weirdo. He never expresses an entitlement to Max or her attention and despite what he's been through he doesn't feel entitled to happiness. Does it imply it? Does Max react in a way that would make you think it's photoshopped or a picture taken without her consent? Even then why do people think that if he photoshopped a photo of them together that she would be cool with him? Why would she still talk to him? Why wouldn't she tell Chloe? Also, do you have to stop being friends with someone you also happen to have a crush on when they're not interested? Steph had a crush on Rachel but they still remained friends in some way. You can have a crush on people and remain friends especially after they're not interested in you or are taken. Also if that logic works then shouldn't Chloe stop being friends with Max when she realized that she wasn't into her? Is it because Warren is a man or a boy and you assume he would get violent? That he would stalk her? Or that he would r*pe her? I just wanna know what evidence or proof you have that Warren is like this? If Warren was meant to be bad we would've seen it or Max would at the very least written it down that she's uncomfortable or that he seems to like her and she doesn't want things to be weird or go to south. The only instances in which Warren could be seen as violent is when he beat up Nathan who was gonna try and hurt Chloe and Max. As well as him laughing his ass off at a violent film which imo doesn't mean much. Like bruh, I feel ya'll only said it was creepy because he was a man and that he was considered a threat between Chloe and Max. Chloe feels in a way entitled to Max, the way she blew up about Kate told me how she felt entitled to Max. When she keeps bringing up the fact that Max "abandoned" her and holds it over her head whenever shit doesn't go her way. Oh, Warren seems entitled or needy for her attention because he sends multiple texts or wanted a hug but the girl who constantly holds her friend's guilt over her leaving soon after her dad died and never calling when it was never her responsibility to call or text. Warren never forced her to do anything she liked, even down to that damn hug we were introduced into, he doesn't make a big deal out of it and leaves it alone. Like Victoria literally embarrassed, humiliated, and bullied a girl for no damn reason other than maybe jealousy but even then her being bullied was entirely Victoria's fault and she would've never been embarrassed and humiliated if Victoria hadn't put her in that situation after posting the video. Almost all of these characters are flawed and these questions wouldn't be asked for these other characters. But why is Warren considered bad, a threat, a danger to Max when he hasn't done much or anything to show that he was a threat. You don't have to like him at all. Hell, you can dislike him for your own reasons and don't have to answer to me. But to those who make up rumors and shit that just isn't true about Warren and talk shit about those who like him, please leave this boy alone and his fans. Just admit you don't like men and go. 👋🏽👋🏽

⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼
"I dare you to pretend like you're dating Jungwon for a whole week."
You looked at your best friend with wide eyes, a similar expression of surprise on his face. There was no way you were going to do that. It would be way too awkward.
"Come on y/n. Don't be a party pooper. It's not like you guys are going to fall in love."
Of course things wouldn't turn out that way. No matter what, nothing would change the way you saw Jungwon. He would always remain your best friend and nothing more.
Jungwon looked too embarrassed to say anything. Both of you knew it was just a dare. What was the worst that could happen?
"Fine. Starting tomorrow Jungwon's my unofficial-official boyfriend," you announced, linking your arm with his. Jungwon hid his face in his hands as everyone around you screamed and cheered. This was going to be one interesting week.
~
☀︎ DAY 1 ☀︎
Since you only had to put on a show in front of your friends, you figured the best thing to do would be to hang out with Jungwon in solitude. He didn't have a problem with your plan. You both had been having playdates together ever since you were three. He was comfortable being alone with you.
Both of you met at your secret spot. A small grove behind the schoolyard. It was a place the two of you had found while skipping classes one day. Ever since then, this was where you spent time together whenever you needed some peace and quiet.
"I can't believe you actually agreed to this," Jungwon said, mindlessly plucking the grass he laid on. You sighed, staring at the row of trees beyond. "A dare's a dare. Besides, we have nothing to worry about because we don't have feelings for each other."
Jungwon sat up. "You know that we can't avoid all of them for the entire week right? They're literally planning to hang out at the cafe just so they can see us in the act." He sounded worried. There was no need to be.
"Of course I know that. So what? We'll let them see what they want to. It's not like they're going to make us kiss or something. The most we'll do is feed each other and hold hands."
Unlike Jungwon, you had already thought everything out. You knew how far to go while respecting the boundaries of your friendship. All Jungwon had to do was trust you.
He cringed in disgust at your words. "You're going to pay for landing me in this mess. We've barely even started and I already feel so miserable."
You patted his shoulder, flashing him an assuring smile. "You're not alone in your miser mister. After this is over, I'll do all your homework for you."
Jungwon laughed. "Learn how to do your own first. Then you can come and ruin mine."
~
☀︎ DAY 2 ☀︎
As Jungwon had predicted, your friends called you out to the cafe. Both of you were supposed to show up together. Jungwon met you a block away from the cafe, looking incredibly reluctant. "Are you sure you want to do this," he asked, just about ready to turn back around.
There was a determined look in your eyes. "Remember when he had to play Hansel and Gretel's parents for that play we did in preschool?" Jungwon nodded. He could never forget that day. "If we managed to get through that, we can get through this without a problem."
That made sense. Appreciative of your pep talk, Jungwon took your hand and whisked you away to the cafe.
By the time you reached your destination, both your hands were sweaty. Jungwon was just as nervous as you were. Not only because you had to pretend like you were dating, but also because your friends weren't going to miss the opportunity to tease you.
Seeing you two enter hand in hand, everyone began hooting and cheering. Jungwon's cheeks flushed almost immediately. You had to drag him towards the table you were supposed to sit at. "It's nice to see you two arriving together," one of your friends said, making space for you.
Taking a seat, you watched in horror as they placed a glass of juice with two straws in front of you both. No one had to explain what its purpose was. You glanced at Jungwon whose eyes were fixated on the glass hesitantly.
"If we get this over with now we'll be at peace," you whispered, leaning forward to place one of the straws between your lips. You looked away when Jungwon did the same, feeling the heat in his face on your cheek. You were certain you had never downed a drink so fast in your life. It didn't take long for you to finish the contents of the glass, quickly sitting back up to catch your breath. Your friends couldn't seem to get enough of the event, laughing and clapping avidly.
"You guys are so cute," some said. "Both of you would make such a nice couple in reality," said others.
Sitting there amongst your terribly evil friends, you wondered how you were going to get through the next five days with Jungwon.
~
☀︎ DAY 3 ☀︎
Your friends had invited you to another escapade at the park. You couldn't tell what they had in plan this time but you were sure it wasn't going to be enjoyable. At least this time, you and Jungwon didn't have to show up hand in hand.
When you reached the park, Jungwon was already there. Your friends beckoned you over, making you stand next to him.
"Now that our subjects have arrived, here's your to-do list. First, remain holding hands the entire time we are here. Second, Jungwon, give y/n your jacket if she starts feeling cold. Third, walk her back home and make sure you give her a nice, sweet little kiss before she goes inside."
Jungwon let out a noise of surprise. He wanted to run as far as he could and never come back. Holding your hand was fine. He had gotten used to it because of the previous day. He didn't mind giving you his jacket, but you were already wearing one so he didn't see why he would find the need to. Jungwon could do many things. But kissing you was not one of them. It didn't matter if it was on your cheek, your forehead, or the back of your hand, because there was no way on earth that he would bring his lips anywhere near yours.
What neither of you realized was that your friends were willing to go to the farthest lengths to make sure you went through with their tasks. They made you two walk in front of them so that they could see your hands intertwined. When the sun went down and the air started getting colder, they made you take your jacket off so that Jungwon would be left with no choice but to give you his. Just when it seemed like your night of torture would come to an end, they even made you share a single cone of ice cream. When it was finally time to go home, two of your friends followed behind you to make sure that Jungwon did his bidding. It was awkward enough walking through your neighborhood hand in hand. Those who knew you cast looks of confusion and surprise upon you two. Eventually, you reached your doorstep. Jungwon let go of your hand, standing in front of you. He looked everywhere but at you, avoiding your gaze. You glanced behind your shoulder, rolling your eyes when you saw your two friends filming you from behind your neighbor's car. They weren't even attempting to be discrete.
"Hurry up and kiss me already. This is too embarrassing," you urged, slapping Jungwon's arm. He sucked in a breath, pressing his lips in a thin line. "Do you think it's not for me? I mean, I'm the one who has to kiss you for heaven's sake."
"Stop pitying yourself and just get on with it. The longer we stand here the more reason they'll have to punish us tomorrow."
Jungwon stared at you long and hard. He squeezed his eyes shut and leaned forward, pressing his lips onto yours without a second thought. You froze, eyes going so wide they might have popped out of your head. Even though it was probably only for two seconds, it felt like an eternity. Time froze as you stood in the foreign feeling of his lips on yours. He pulled away almost immediately, skipping down your driveway as fast as he could with a short wave and 'good night'. Still stunned, you entered your home, breaking into a smile when you closed the door.
~
☀︎ DAY 4 ☀︎
The next day, Jungwon asked you to meet him at your secret spot. So far, your friends hadn't made any plans to get you together. You saw Jungwon sitting in the middle of the grove, laying down on the damp grass as he usually did. Walking over, you sat down beside him, flicking his forehead so that he would open his eyes.
He grinned on seeing you, sitting up with a soft groan. "So, how was your night?"
You furrowed your brows at the question. It wasn't like him to ask you things like that. But you decided to overlook it. Maybe he was still feeling a bit awkward after the kiss you both hard shared the previous night.
You shrugged. "It was fine. How was yours?"
"I couldn't sleep," he revealed. It sounded like he'd been dying to tell you. "Why's that," you asked, believing that you had an idea of the reason.
"Last night scarred me," Jungwon shared, pretending to gag. You didn't know why, but hearing him say that made your heart sink. Suddenly, you felt horrible. "Was it really that bad," you asked, genuinely curious to know what he thought of it. Jungwon nodded, making you feel even worse. "It was worse than I thought it would be," he added. Your eyes started stinging. A lump formed in your throat and the longer you held it back, the more it hurt. You knew you hadn't been eager to kiss him, but you would argue about how 'bad' it was. But bringing that up right now would just be stupid. Jungwon would misunderstand where you were coming for and that would just lead to another disaster entirely. You had told yourself that you weren't going to let this dare get to you, but four days in you were already slipping. The longer you sat there, listening to Jungwon whine and complain about everything he'd had to do with you so far, the harder it became to control your emotion. Not able to take it anymore, you got up abruptly and ran away, leaving Jungwon sitting there extremely puzzled.
~
☀︎ DAY 5 ☀︎
You didn't respond to any of Jungwon's calls or texts. You didn't have it in you to face him. He would be disappointed if he found out the real reason behind your sappy mood. So you were gonna wait till you got over it before facing him.
You still couldn't believe that you had been so affected by Jungwon saying that he hated the kiss. Despite telling yourself that you disliked it too, you couldn't help but think otherwise. There was something so magical about it. You had never felt that way because of a kiss before. Whenever you thought back to it, an exciting warmth rippled through your mind. Your heart danced in glee and a wide smile formed on your lips.
But you weren't supposed to feel that way. Jungwon was your best friend. Besides, he hadn't kissed you willingly. You didn't understand why it felt so special to you when it clearly meant nothing to him. You knew you couldn't blame him for that. His mind was wired to see you as nothing more than a friend. You found it hilarious. Here you were, realizing that you probably liked your best friend after having continuously assured yourself and him that something like that would never happen. The sad part was that Jungwon would never reciprocate your feelings. You were all alone in this.
A knock sounded at your window, startling you. Slipping out of your reverie, you glanced towards it, eyes widening in surprise when you saw Jungwon crouched before it. You didn't think twice before letting him in. He entered your room and stood in front of you, crossing his arms over his chest. "You wanna explain what happened yesterday?"
You frowned and turned away shoulders slouching disinterestedly. "Is that what you came here for," you asked, regretting letting him in?
"Well did I have a choice? You've been blatantly ignoring me while all I've been trying to do is make sure you're alright," he said, stepping closer to you.
"I'm fine. If that's all you needed to hear, you can leave now," you replied. You didn't need him prying and prodding at you right now.
Jungwon stood his ground, clearly not satisfied with your answer. "No, you're not y/n. You aren't fine. Tell me what's bothering you."
You sighed and faced him. "Trust me, you wouldn't want to know."
Jungwon furrowed his brows. He didn't know what that meant. "I think I'll be the judge of that."
"It's you. You're bothering me," you spoke, narrowing your eyes at him. Jungwon hadn't been expecting that. But he didn't let the surprise show on his face. "What did I do?"
"You made me feel so worthless and undesirable. But that's not your fault. I can't blame you because you're right to think that way about me. I'm just pitying myself here and there's nothing you can do about it so please, just leave me alone." The tears were coming back again. You didn't want to break down in front of Jungwon. His face fell. He didn't know what to say to that. He thought you knew he was just being overdramatic. He seriously hadn't meant to hurt you. Before he could apologize, you turned to him. "I don't think I'll be good at keeping this a secret, so let me just tell you that I'm starting to catch feelings for you. If that makes you uncomfortable then you can leave. If you have something to say, just say it and go. But don't ask me why I feel the way I do because that's something I'm yet to figure out."
Jungwon was at a loss for words. He stood there, gaping at you like an open-mouthed fish before turning on his heel and exiting through your bedroom door. You heard your mother yelp on seeing him, probably wondering where he had shown up from. A part of you wished that he hadn't left, but the other was glad that he was gone. You felt like a fool for letting all of this happen. You should have never agreed to this dare. Who would have thought it would lead to something like this? There was nothing you could do now. There was no way you could change the way you felt. Because at the end of the day, it was as clear as ever, that you were undeniably in love with your best friend Yang Jungwon.
~
☀︎ DAY 6 ☀︎
Jungwon couldn't stop thinking about everything you had told him yesterday. He would never have imagined that you would catch feelings, especially through such a childish dare. Your friends had called you out to the park again today, but Jungwon wasn't going to go. He knew you wouldn't be there so there was no point. He wished he could tell you that he hadn't meant half the things he'd said about the kiss at the grove that day. He was just trying to show you that the kiss hadn't made him feel some type of way. Not just that, but he was also attempting to persuade himself that he indeed had loathed it. Maybe he should have been truthful instead of lying about it.
This was exactly what he'd been afraid of. Jungwon was always fond of you. He cared for you and he wouldn't lie when he said that he loved you. But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that maybe he felt that way because he thought of you as more than a friend. Jungwon didn't want to convince himself that he liked you just because you had confessed to him. He wanted to understand the way he truly felt about you.
He knew every little thing about you. No one knew you as well as he did. Jungwon cherished your friendship and the time he spent with you. Whenever anything bugged him, he always came to you, knowing that you were the only person who could make things better. He relied on you more than anyone else. He couldn't go a day without speaking to you. After yesterday, he realized how important you were to him. The fear of losing you ate at him the longer he stayed away from you.
Jungwon hated knowing that you were sad. It hurt more to know that he was the reason behind it. He wanted nothing more than to hug you and apologize for making you feel bad. He felt guilty for everything he had done. It had only been a couple hours since he had last spoken to you, but it felt longer. He missed you so much.
So he left you a text, asking you to meet him at your secret spot. He kept his phone close, waiting till you replied. But you didn't. You probably wanted nothing to do with him. Nonetheless, he still hoped and prayed that you would give him one last chance to make things right again. He couldn't afford to lose someone as special as you. There was nothing for him if he didn't have you.
~
☀︎ DAY 7 ☀︎
Jungwon laid in the grass, staring at the dull sky above. It was filled with clouds, hiding the sun. The grove felt so big and endless when he was alone. When he was with you, it was much more cozy and bright, even if the atmosphere was gloomy.
He had been waiting for you for quite a long time now. You hadn't replied to his message last night, but he knew you had seen it. Just before he was about to lose hope, he heard the grass crunch a few feet away from him. Jungwon didn't have to look to know it was you. No one else knew the path to get here.
"What do you want," you asked, voice small but laced with malice. You were cross with him. Jungwon wished to change that today. He patted the space next to him. "Let's not pretend like we hate each other. You could do the worst thing to me but I'd still admire you."
You didn't argue and sat down beside him. Other than the tension in the air, everything felt normal. There was a scowl on your face. It must have taken a lot of convincing for you to come here. Jungwon needed to get to the point.
"I'm sorry about everything I said. I didn't even mean half of those things."
You scoffed. "Oh really? They sounded pretty heartfelt to me."
Jungwon sat up. "I was just trying to enforce the idea that I wasn't into you, on myself," he revealed, hoping that you would forgive him. "And being a dick was the only way you could do that? Jungwon, you weren't the only one who was attempting to suppress their feelings," you refuted.
"I know y/n. And it's my fault for not realizing sooner," he admitted, hanging his head. You sighed and shook your head. "This is so immature. I can't believe we're letting a stupid dare get in the middle of our friendship."
Jungwon chuckled darkly. "Maybe it's a sign that our friendship has run its course."
You turned to him. "What is that supposed to mean?"
Jungwon smiled. "I gave it some thought yesterday. We're both attempting to be in denial of our feelings. Obviously, that isn't working out. If it wasn't for this dare, they would've remained buried deep down somewhere. But I guess you could say everything happens for a reason." He took your hand in his, intertwining your fingers. "I never realized how much I loved this feeling until I had to go a whole two days without it."
You couldn't even hide your smile. "Where is this going Jungwon?"
"Maybe we should give this a chance. Give us a chance. Who knows? It could turn out the be the best thing that's ever happened to us," he said, meeting your eyes.
"And what if it doesn't? We would be throwing so many years of friendship away."
Jungwon shook his head. "How long are we supposed to contradict how we truly feel about each other? That would take a heavier toll on us."
You laughed, squeezing his hand. "It doesn't hurt to try I guess."
Jungwon beamed. "That's the spirit!" It felt nice to see you smiling at him again. He was grateful for that. It was funny how a large part of his mood depended on you. If you were happy, he was happy. If you were sad, he was sad. His entire world revolved around you, and Jungwon knew the best thing to do was strengthen that bond.
"So, will you be my girlfriend," he asked, smiling cheekily. You bit your lip, looking at him through your lashes. "Of course I will."
