now, do i personally believe that maya and franziska would actively try to get phoenix and edgeworth together? not really. BUT. i don't see the harm in people writing scenarios in which they would? ik this sounds silly since maya and franziska wingmaning is one of the more popular ace attorney fic tropes, but i feel like recently i've seen a lot of hate towards and and i don't understand why!
think of it this way: maya is phoenix's best friend and like pseudo little sister, they're extremely close, and i'm pretty sure she teases him about his love life AT LEAST once in canon (it could be more, or i could've completely made this up, but i've played the trilogy enough where if i tried i could probably find an example but it's late and i'm tired). anyway with that said, why WOULDN'T she care about them getting together? she's shown in the first game to be pretty invested in "the deal with [nick] and edgeworth" her words, not mine. i'm not one to speak on later games because i honestly haven't touched them in over two years and even then they were a complete blur and i forgot everything except that edgeworth looked really ugly from the front. but. if my memory serves me i don't think their dynamic changed much? i can't see her caring AS much at 28 as she would at 17, because obviously she's grown and matured, but i don't think she'd be completely uninterested like some people say. maybe she wouldn't be wearing comical disguises to spy on them, but i could see her encouraging nick, or idk just telling trucy stuff about their old cases to stir something up.
i think the franziska side of things is where i'm a little more understanding, but also not really. on one hand, i get that she's very well put together and mature seeming. on the other hand, that's only how she SEEMS. i won't get into a whole franziska analysis because this post is already longer than i wanted and no one wants to hear me ramble about her, but she's not really as mature as she seems. anyway, would she care THAT much? the answer may surprise you!
now think of it THIS way: edgeworth is franziska's little brother. despite how she acts sometimes she obviously loves him dearly, and would (probably) just want him to be happy, with whatever foolishness it may endure. phoenix wright is franziska's sworn enemy. she can't stand him and feels as though he has personally wronged her before they even met. absolutely hates his guts (except for when they investigate together then they can be friends). franziska is incredibly smart, but she's clearly not the best emotionally. even with that, though, she seems to understand how important edgeworth is to phoenix ("earthquake blah blah blah" "are you thinking of miles edgeworth blah blah blah"). she kind of just accepts this, even though it implies that phoenix (a man he only recently reconnected with) would be on a similar level of emotional connection as his sister. maybe she doesn't think much about it though. she's just like sure whatever you're his most dear and indispensable friend i don't care anymore. do people really think that, if somehow she came to the conclusion that edgeworth had feelings for phoenix she wouldn't care in any way??? i'm not saying it'd necessarily be positive and all "you go girlfriend!", but to say she wouldn't CARE is so wild. she'd probably be furious, and so maybe she wouldn't wingman. but she does CARE about her brother, and honestly if it were presented to her on the right way she probably would wingman. one "hey franziska. i bet you can't make your brother get with phoenix wright. if they get together without your guidance then that basically means edgeworth beat you btw" and she's suddenly invested. (dramatized, but you get the point)
tldr; maya and franziska are not so nonchalant and cool that they wouldn't care about one of the most significant people in their lives having feelings for their courtroom rival of over a decade. that is all.

This has been sitting on my docs and for whatever reason, I didn’t post it. Anyway imma make the same disclaimer I did for Bi-Han’s part. I am a virgin. I get zero bitches. Absolutely zero play. I know we're mainly talking about sex but I think it'd be more than that for him. I'm not saying you control everything he does but this man is probably stressed out all the time. He has two brothers who have constant beef (which is one sided fr), he's probably still missing his dad, he's constantly risking his life for others, and life just has a lot of bullshit going on.
Serving Earthrealm means he's always doing stuff for other people. So sometimes he likes when you're the one choosing what he'll do for the day because he knows you'll pick stuff that would benefit him. Does that make sense?
Like, non sexually you may say “hey I want you to go take a long bath, then put some clothes on. I already have the water and your clothes ready”. Shit like that. Don't get it misconstrued, you're not becoming his mom. You're just taking more of a leadership role, which he appreciates.
Sexually though, it'd tie into orgasm control. You'd tell him what to do, where to touch, when to stop, where to look, etc. He knows whatever you're having him do is to make him feel good. To put himself first, which he has a hard time doing.
I'm not saying y'all don't have straight “I'm tryna fuck” type of sex, but I think he'd enjoy some soft stuff occasionally. Helps him relax.
As for aftercare I think unlike Bi-Han, he'd enjoy talking after. Especially depending on what was going on.
Softer sex probably results in cuddling then talking about whatever. Something more intense would include a breather, checking in, then whatever else he needs. Sometimes it's a bath immediately, sometimes it's playing with his hair to bring him back down.
Sometimes it's you reminding him that he's doing his best. Sex can be a good way to relieve tension, but it's not a permanent fix. You like to remind him that he's a good person and sometimes bad shit happens to good people. Just a nice deep chat.

Same anon with the mira and bonnie ask, lobed your response but felt weird to just put it in w/o a question so if you don’t mind:
what do you think siffrin’s life was like before joining the party? Could be pre- or post- forgotten island. Idk to me its fascinating bc they were loved in some measure (cloak, jokingly running away bc of veggies) and are p in touch with their culture when they remember it, but at the same time siffrin’s mindset is pretty unhealthy. Like even before looping/during act 2 loops, they seemed unconcerned about serious bodily harm and death that would happen to them + just seems to have. A very strange relationship with people feeling sad instead of happy around them? Idk i just don’t think that’s from just the memory loss.
See I think kid Siffrin was pretty happy. As Isabeau notes whoever gave them the cloak and hat must have really loved them. When Siffrin recounts running away it's in a carefree way--he knew he could give his parents a scare and it'd go down as "just a prank". Basically their home life was really good. There are questions I have about the island's beliefs / values that might be troublesome, but I don't really think that sort of thing grates on a kid with a happy home life too much. (And also as a little note the only glimpse we get into the island's beliefs/values are through Siffrin and King, two individuals who cannot recall those things completely and are very traumatized, so like. Should probably take a grain of salt on how they portray the beliefs anyway.)
Post-island I admittedly read a LOT into how Siffrin finds Vaugarde's openness weird and had kept their hair dyed up until a few months pre-game.
In his experience, other countries are not as welcoming. So I imagine their teenage years were probably pretty lonely. This isn't to say other countries were completely awful--he obviously enjoyed Poteria's plays!--but they were juuust old enough where few would assume just by looking at them "uh, you're on your own, do you need help?" If they stayed long enough in a spot for people to figure out something was wrong it'd invite questions like "where are you from", "where are your parents", basically questions that'd make Siffrin's head hurt and probably lead to them cutting off the interaction if the other person doesn't walk away first because they're put off or alarmed by Siffrin's reactions. Basically, there probably WERE well-meaning attempts to help Siffrin. They backfired because people didn't know what was wrong with Siffrin (Siffrin didn't know what was wrong with Siffrin). Siffrin probably beat himself up for it when he knew the other person was trying to help and he was just too "broken". As a teenager he probably stayed longest in places where adults assumed he was a runaway that didn't want to talk about it and maybe helped him out in a more "hands-off" way--"hey, run this errand for me and I'll give you dinner and a roof for the night". Which, great! Because Siffrin finds a way to get by. But it doesn't deal with any of the emotional issues festering inside.
I also feel like, while this may be a bit dark for the fantasy setting, Siffrin probably got targeted at times for being a young traveler on their own. I mean I also headcanon that Siffrin was very good at escaping dicey situations, partially because they'd start Wish Crafting unconsciously if they were really scared, so they were never seriously harmed. But they weren't good experiences to have!
I also kind of headcanon that pre-canon with not knowing who they are like--they loved plays. But also, like. I can see them at times hurting when they think about plays, how they'd be portrayed in a play. No true name, no past, no home, no relations. At best they're the jester who mocks a King gone wrong and makes the audience laugh. At worst they're a side character killed off-stage in a tragedy, barely important enough to devote two lines to. What kind of play would have a protagonist with zero emotional stake in anything?
They try to be the jester, at least. Sometimes, when he's feeling brave enough. It tends to fizzle pretty quickly. (And then he meets someone who doubles over laughing at a bad pun.)
So yeah I feel like Siffrin pretty much mastered the art of getting by and also as in this post actually being pretty good at fighting pre-canon, but socially well. They can ask directions in at least half a dozen languages but can't be honest about how they're feeling or what's going on with them in a single blinding one. Then they meet a group that's in desperate need of another fighter and 2 of them are Vaugardians who are willing to accept Siffrin's eccentricities as just part of them and not ask questions and Odile's pragmatic enough to not rock the boat unnecessarily. I pretty much do view the group as being the first chance Siffrin remembers getting to bond with people without it going south by them wanting to know their background. Of course he loves them. Of course it doesn't really matter what happens to him, who's going to miss him?? They have homes and families and friends. They're the real heroes. He's just supporting cast.
...So yeah tl;dr pre-island vanishing I think Siffrin's life was just fine. post-island was an incredible amount of loneliness and the Universe putting his brain in a blender and idly hitting the pulse button every so often. This is not even getting into experiencing the physical side of puberty while not knowing who you are or who to ask for help, which, yikes.

going on a tangent about stupid little milgram details that are probably unimportant or wrong yippee
one detail i like is how side character lack features or are different from the focus character, and what it actually means in each MV. The reasoning can vary from character to character, but the general idea is that it's supposed to emphasize their role in the character's eyes and also changes the level of humanness(?) they have. (idk it's hard to phrase)
two really good examples of this are muu and kazui's MVs.
in After Pain, the only other character besides muu who has a full set of facial features is her classmate rei. Every other character is seen without eyes, which let's the audience understand how muu believed her actions were perceived without actually making the background characters feel 'human' or 'real'. Rei having no alterations also implies the importance of her to muu, and also might be muu trying to tell the audience "hey look, with the way she looked and was acting, i had no other choice right?" (muu enjoyers apologies if i'm reading into this wrong i'm not too invested into her character i just really like after pain)
then we move on to INMF, where her previously eyeless classmates have now turned into bug people, while rei remains unchanged. Her classmates being subordinate bugs while she's the queen represent how she views them as 'below' her. Her classmates also do appear as they looked in AP, but here their appearance seems more to represent how their importance to muu kinda boils down to social image and validation (or smth like that). Rei is still rei, and we see her looking on at muu and her group with disgust, we see her dead again, and then at the end we see her decided to fight back. I need to get more into muu, cuz damn her relationship with rei really is interesting considering the fact that her appearance doesn't alter at all whatsoever. Like damn what was their relationship actually like?
in Half, there are only three side characters shown: hinako, the bartender, and the lady from the bar. And oddly enough, the only one with an actual face is the lady. Both hinako and the bartender lack facial features (mainly their eyes). Considering that half is more or less kazui lamenting on his mistakes that led to hinako's death, it'd make sense he'd want to kinda 'block out' anything related to the incident. Which if that's the case, it implies the bartender had enough significance for kazui to want to 'block out' (haha gay) while the lady didn't and thus she's just as is. (so it's kinda like the opposite of muu in a way?)
moving on to Cat, hinako has a face now! (and she's really cute!!) No one else does, though. This is most likely to emphasize how kazui's focus has now shifted from the sadness and grief of the entire ordeal to why and how everything came to be. Hinako herself is basically in the center of it all, being the victim to kazui's deceit, so it'd make sense that we'd get to see her emotions (tho it's from kazui's perspective). Hinako being happy throughout kazui's lying and only turning to shock and distress when kazui is honest is most likely just kazui trying to tell the audience that lying is the only way for him to live life without troubling others. Also mr. bartender makes an appearance again and still has no eyes, which probably implies that he's related to something that kazui still hasn't come to terms with yet (cough homosexuality cough cough)
but yeah that's my little rant, it'd be cool to go into a little more detail for this feature for everyone but idk if i have the mental capacity to at the moment lol

hello again!!
i'm quietly dying to know if u!buggy is present when robin translates the skypeian poneglyph & the note roger asked oden to leave on it. just. an amnesiac clown staring at this giant rock, too busy silently screaming what does it meeeean to hear robin explaining what it means. cracks me up.
(i also love the thought of there being a pattern of older locals recognizing buggy just a moment too late as 'one of the kids from back then'. i love a running gag that doubles as foreshadowing! though crocus would surely recognize buggy on sight, i bet he assumes buggy's being cryptic on purpose when he "pretends" not to know him, and goes along with it.)
i'd misremembered that conversation at shakky's bar as having only a handful of the strawhats present, and so was imagining that buggy had no idea they'd gotten a lead on his past, and rayleigh would only see buggy on the kizaru-kuma-strawhat battlefield for a minute before he gets kuma'd away… on one hand, i still love this idea bc i love pain. otoh that conversation happening with everyone but buggy present feels wrong. and a "don't tell me, i'll find out the truth for myself!" ending to rayleigh and buggy reuniting is so fitting, it's the same argument robin & luffy make to rayleigh in that scene!
i looove the thought of buggy losing track of luffy after marineford. what a situation he's in now!! surrounded by dozens of ex-prisoners who idolize him, maybe two he gets along with, a half-dozen he's terrified of, and shanks. he's heard stories from luffy, but that's luffy! you can't go to him for realism or accuracy!! but... this shanks guy does have a boat... and something about his face is kind of familiar...
how long does it take shanks to realize buggy acting like he doesn't know him isn't an act, i wonder? how many old grudges does shanks halfheartedly apologize for, trying to get buggy to give in and acknowledge him? is one of those apologies the thing that makes something click for buggy? does he freeze up, or immediately snap and shout at shanks bc he's misremembered why buggy was mad at him that time? :3c

I thought about that like once when I was thinking about Robin in the u! universe, but then i forgot and never really thought about it again lol. In my mind he comes along somewhere between East Blue and Alabasta, though if anyone wants to adopt this au, I'm fine with whatever interpretation or spin they want to put on it.
Now that you said it, I agree, it would be really fun if the locals recognize him randomly like "yeah, yeah, that was the red-nosed kid! Aw, he was so cute, we gotta live him! Pity he's not with his friend though, hope nothing bad happened to the other one..." And Buggy just going"ifk what you're talking about, you're being weird af" and everyone just assumes the other kid (shanks) died and it's a painful memory so they're all like "Oh, yes of course... our bad... if there's anything we can do to help you tell us, it's been so hard for you, we're so sorry ". Which confuses Buggy even more, but hey, he's getting positive attention, even if it's pity, and he's not going to complain about it.
Buggy meeting Rayleigh in the bar is so dear to me. Idk if it'd be realistic but I feel like he'd be very defensive qt first but then Rayleigh would be "Buggy? Is that you? I barely recognized you, you've grown so much, and become such a strong young man" and then something snaps and he just falls into his arms absolutely sobbing. He doesn't know why, he can't remember him on a conscious level, but they still jave this father/son moment of comfort.
I don't remember if I said this in the last post or if I thought of it now, but him losing Luffy at Marine Ford and clinging to Shanks for protection would be funnier (to me) if he goes by the logic of "Okay, he's scary, the generals are even scared of him, Luffy likes him and he seems fond of Luffy. He looks a bit familiar so idk if he would have some grudge with me if I've wronged him in some way... so I'm just going to use my contact with Luffy as leverage!" So he just starts going "You know Luffy, right? Well I'm in his crew" (which breaks Shanks's heart because... why isn't he in his crew? What did Luffy offer him that Shanks can't?? And why is he jealous of his child protege? Buggy sees he's a little upset by it so he continues "So if- if you're his friend and care for him, you'll take me and my men to safety... and not kill me.......... please."
And he switches from being sad to being so confused like,
Shanks: wdym I'll do it because of Luffy. I'm not helping you because of Luffy,
Buggy absolutely terrified that his one strategy of manipulating his one ticket to freedom has expired:..... wh.. why?
Shanks: I'm gonna help you because we're friends! You're my best friend Buggy!
Buggy: We are? I mean uh, we are.
Shanks assuming he remembers him and being do happy: So you remember me?
Buggy afraid if he says no, Shanks will get mad and leave him: ... yes.
Once in the ship (because the prisoners are so many) everyone sleeps wherever they can. Except for Buggy. Shanks insists on giving him his bed or at least his a place in his room. "We were bunkmates after all" he says but Buggy just smiles and nods hoping he doesn't find out he doesn't actually recognize him. Shanks can feel Buggy is on edge the entire time and he tries asking but Buggy always goes "No, no it's fine, everything's great haha" so he starts testing the waters by asking "hey do you remember *insert thing that never happened* that was so crazy, right?" To which Buggy'll go all "yeaaaah, absolutely haha, very crazy that happened I remember!" And after the third or fourth time Shanks couldn't take it and confronts him about it. Buggy is furious but also devastated because that's it. He's going to kill him now. Maybe even worse. (Keep in mind Buggy has seen how cruel people can be and his time with the straw hats doesn't help him think better of people, because they also keep bumping into horrible people)
He starts scream crying at him, he's already a deadman, what else does he have to lose, might as well let it all out. Meanwhile, Shanks is so confused because he understands absolutely nothing.

*deep breath* still thinking about the shadow!mal theory
because the thing is, when MC was gone, mal was vulnerable. he lost either his lover or one of his most important friends, PLUS imtura, and then he took on this huge responsibility (the orphanage) and overworked himself and had this whole guilt thing going on. all that put him in a vulnerable position to be manipulated. and i mean he does keep talking about how losing MC changed him. so it makes sense
what I don't get is. how does that corruption work?
we know shadow corruption in book1 was mostly whispers promising you power and shit and telling you to kill people, but that was the shadow controlled by the shadow court. and i dont think the shadow court has the time and resources to run this routine rn, plus, I don't think it'd work on mal. he might arguably be ambitious but I can't see mal being swayed by promises of power or falling for evil whispers telling him to kill people. he's too smart for that, and tbh, i think that he cares too much (about mc, about his friends, about the orphanage) to trade them for power and/or money
but we also do know that mal's obsession with money comes from a place of needing stability, because he grew up without nothing and it's made him vulnerable and unable to care for himself, much less others. he's scared of being in that position again, and so he is always after it. which means i can only see the corruption working in the following ways:
instead of promising power and riches and whatever the fuck else to mal, what they promised is that he'd be able to keep the kids, and his friends, safe. he wouldn't have to worry about what happening to MC happening to them. he would be able to ensure stability and safety to all of them. and that's what swayed him
mal straight up doesn't know he's corrupted. maybe he's just mentally broken and the shadow is manipulating him subtly because of that
mal has been full on damien'ed and this is some shadow copy or whatever (which explains why valax' glaive pretty much didn't affect him. he claims it wasn't deep enough for the shadow to seep in but it SURE AS FUCK DIDN'T LOOK THAT WAY). who's, idk, spying on us? and the real mal is in god knows where looking for mc, or maybe even stuck in the shadow realm somehow, or idk, something
maybe im just being delusional and refusing to accept the facts but i doubt PB would go the route of having a LI turn full on evil. and again i just really don't feel like it's mal's style. and while obviously mal's stiltedness could be explained by him not wanting mc to know how much he's been hurting... that's not his m.o. when mal is trying to deflect, he turns the charm up to 11. and right now he's been acting almost dull. i mean i loved mal in the latest chapters but something still feels wrong in a way that it doesn't with any of the other LIs
also, i wonder if nia knows. i mean, she's a high powerful priestess or whatever, and she keeps saying she needs to believe corrupted people could be saved. the obvious answer to that is because of her whole shadow situation, but what if it's also about mal? alternatively, mal knows about nia and that was part of what drove him over the edge

my Thoughts on like, normals character and where he's going btw are highly based on his own flaws and like. idk ive kinda seen both sides (normal is a baby and must be protected versus normal needed this ego blow because he was getting too into his head) and I think it's maybe more nuanced than that? cause the thing is. normal is RIGHT to think that his side of things are the morally correct side. he's the one whose seen what the doodler wants and fears and where it came from, he had more perspective on the quest than any of the other teens and I'm not arguing otherwise because it'd be silly. it's HOW he's going about it that puts him firmly into the, "teen character is going to fuck up because they're a teenager" category: as much as he does genuinely try, he's not good at connecting to other people and he does put himself on this pedestal of "i know better and therefore im the best" that isn't exactly the MOST healthy mindset, as a self-proclaimed leader.
that being said, I absolutely understand where he's coming from in this episode in a very. he is hurting and lashing out kind of way? we know why scary is acting the way she is (her own past with her dad + willy trauma=she's still looking for the trauma that justifies her inner darkness) and we know why link is acting the way he is (he's hurt and scared and he never asked for this and he just wants to ensure that he's not the one actively hurting people, he never forgave himself for the casualties of ep2 and the last thing he wants is to add more) and one of normals flaws is his pride, the way he's so sure of what he's doing, he's the best for this and of COURSE it's the right way, he knows that!!!
but he can't empathize with scary right now. very specifically he cannot empathise with her because he can't trust her. and if he can't trust link he can't empathize with him either. normal does view himself as the reason the team is together, and I think that's why he was suddenly on board with kicking scary out when before he was so deadset on helping her: if he personally can't trust anyone, does he really have a team he can lead?
that being said, the shots taken on him recently have been sooo low in comparison. scary has done nothing but bully normal since they reunited. link has been sassy and snippy with normal even since ep26 and it's only gotten worse. normal and taylor don't really have much of a relationship outside the teen friendship circle in general. hermie is angry at normal- and I kinda agree with will that it should NOT solely be up to the players to remember anthony's fucking npc, as funny as it is. as much as I want normal to listen and understand and empathize with scary and link both, it IS a little frustrating when in comparison normals been fucking tanked at every opportunity by the other players- and link's line to normal after he found out about hero actually made me so upset on normal's behalf like dude.
I'm still on the boat that normal should get and deserves a mild villain arc. I desperately want him to team up with hermie and go to the goofs realm alone. I think it might be good for him- both to have a solo adventure with hermie and to have a solo adventure in general, so he can find out why he loves having friends so much. and I think him going through a villain arc would be so narratively compelling, because again, he's not WRONG about the path they should be taking: it isn't underestimating links personal trauma to admit that normal is actually right and he's just so bad at following through. it's just kinda a little tiring sometimes when normal actually does his best to keep the group together and it doesn't work (looking at episode 27 in particular) or when he tries to bury that oak family generational anger the way sparrow and henry do. let him be angry!!!

- everytime it's mentioned Percy has a girlfriend I want to die (I have nothing against Penelope at all but they're both very very gay whyyy are they together)

You were walking up the stairs in Wangshu inn (tell me if I'm wrong please) bringing almond tofu to Xiao. You would say you're friends but you're trying to get him to be your friend. You finished walking up the stairs and saw him sitting on the fence. (idk if he does that) "Xiao!! I have your food!" You exclaimed as you walked over to him. "Hand it over." He said. "Mhm!" You nodded and gave it to him, and watched him start to eat it. "Why are you looking at me like that, leave."
"Oh, sorry if I made you uncomfortable! I just wanted to know if you liked it!" You say. "It's fine." He said and went back to eating. And you stood there untill he finished. As you picked up the plate you asked. "How was your day?" "Why do you keep asking it was fine." He said in an annoyed tone. "Ah, I'm sorry!" You apologized and started to walk away. "See you tomorrow!" You said as you walked away.
Time skip
When you started walking home it started raining, so when you got home you were reasonably wet. (🤨) You walked to your bedroom and getting out your clothes you sneezed. You shrugged it off and went to take a shower. When you got out you dried your hair (or not) and your body. Then you changed and went to sleep.
When you woke up you had a stuffed nose and felt stuffy yourself. Then it hit you, you were sick. You didn't want to stay home today but you knew Goldet (?) wouldn't let you work. You sighed and got up to get some food, then you went to sleep again.
Timeskip
You woke up and groaned you felt horrible. You looked out a window and realized it's night. You wondered if Xiao was relieved to not have you there, maybe you bothered him. The thought made you sad but you got up and got some food, a drink and a book. Then you sat back down and started to read.
Xiaos pov
Where are they, they're normally here by now.. Was it because of what I said? No they said they would see me today, so where are they?..
Y/ns pov
After reading for a few hours you decide to take a small walk around your house, maybe talk to Goldet. So you put on some warm clothes and a scarf and started walking to Wangshu Inn. After a while of walking you felt weaker, but you kept going because, you were almost there!
When you got there you sighed and started walking up the stairs, after a little you got to where Goldet was. "Ah, Goldet!" You said. "Y/n! Where were you? You didn't show up for work today?" She said. (I'm sorry idk how she acts) "Sorry! I got sick so I couldn't show up.." You said. "Y/n, why are you always so reckless!" She scolded and you bowed your head and apologized again. Once she finished scolding you she spoke again. "I think Xiao might've been waiting for you." She said as she wiggled her eyebrows. (Again sorry if the doesn't act like that) "Really? You think so? But he always acts so annoyed when I'm with him.. Nah he probably wasn't, thank you though!" As you said that she sighed. "Well at least go check up on him!" She said. "No I won't bother him today, well tell him I said hello! Bye Goldet!" You said as she said ok and waved at you.
You speed walked away, down the stairs and back to your house.
2 weeks later
You walk up the stairs and to Xiao. "Xiao! Hey, your foods here!" You say. "Ah thanks." He muttered as you handed him his food, but you still heard him. "You're welcome!" He slightly blushed and started eating and you noticed it started raining, and stood next to him and looked at the rain. "Do you like the food?" You asked. "It's fine" He said and you smiled at him. After awhile you notice it's starting to thunder. So you got up. "I got to go, sorry Xiao." You said and started to walk away. "What's wrong?" Xiao quietly asked. "It's nothing, I just don't wanna get sick again!" You said as you smiled at him and walked away.
When you finished walking down the stairs you sighed as you knew it was going to be hard to sleep tonight. And headed to your house.
48 minutes later
You finally got home, unlocked the door, opened the door and closed the door. You flinched as you heard the thunder get louder. You locked the door and walked to your bedroom and changed clothes. You laid on the bed and wrapped your blanket around you and tried to fall asleep.
Later
You walked up the steps and up to Xiao. It started thundering, you flinched and Xiao saw it. "Hm? What's wrong?" "N-nothing I'm fine!" You said. "You sure?" He asked. "Yea!" You exclaimed. He grabbed your chin. "Don't lie to me." He said. "Okay I'm sorry! I'm scared of thunder.." You said. "Oh." He let go of your chin. "So you're weak." He said. "N-no! I just.." He scoffed as you trailed off and started to walk away. "Wait, I'm sorry don't leave Xiao please!" You said as you fell to your knees.
"Xiao, don't go please I'm sorry.." You muttered. Xiao stood Infront of your sleeping form, as you kept asking him to not leave. He realized you were having a nightmare when you started to cry. He then started to wake you. "Y/n, wake up. Y/n!" He said multiple times and you woke up.
You were confused, what's going on? Why was he here? Then you realized, you must've called him in your sleep. Oh God you're so embarrassed. "Xiao, I'm so sorry!" You said then wiped your tears and got up. "It's ok.." He said as it thundered loudly and you flinched. "What were you dreaming about?" Xiao asked. "Nothing it's fine." You said. "I know it's not fine, just tell me." He asked again. "No, no it's okay!" You smiled and chuckled. "Tell me Y/n." He said. "Okay.. I'm, scared of thunder.." You said quietly not wanting him to leave. "Oh." He said.
"Why didn't you want to tell me?" He asked. "I thought that you'd think I'm weak and pathetic.." You explain. "Y/n, I'd never think that of you." "Really?" You asked him and he nodded. You hugged him. "Thank you.." You said as you sniffle. "Do you wanna go back to sleep?" He asked. "Yes, please.." You said softly and he slowly put you back down and laid in front of you. You put your face in his chest and hugged his waist. You started to fall asleep. "I love you Xiao..." He then put his chin atop your head. "Love you too.."

Hello, I hope you don’t mind but if your still doing prompts/ask’s but I love your KHR x DC fanfic so to cut to the chase, what would happen if the Bat Family meet the Arcobaleno?
stranger, I am never not open for asks and prompts.
So, long answer short: pandemonium.
Long answer long: it'd be like... an ex meeting a new s/o, I think (from what I know about relationships, ahah) because, for all that I think the Acrobaleno wasn't per say family, they were, for whatever short period, a team. They went through the same trauma together, they were brought together by the same Sky (even if unwillingly, maybe) and yeah. ok, so, there are two ways this could go in my opinion.
Canon!Acrobaleno are transported briefly for whatever reason into the DCU.
The Acrobaleno were reincarnated alongside Fon.
In the case of the first, then they actually wouldn't mind too much??? I think??? They've got their Fon and the DCU have got theirs. Like, yeah, they may not understand how and Verde might have a conniption, but that's it. Wait. And they're also very confused about the whole 'heroes vs. villains' thing because where do you draw the line? What is a hero? What is a villain?
In the case of the second, however...
Orange (we'll go with Luce, because she's... idk, the OG I guess): Her opinion won't really matter much to Fon, because she's the one who hurt him in his past life. As for her opinion, well, she understands. She accepts is and wishes him well. Fon will give her a tight, sad smile and then turn away as the Bats either look between them in curiosity, distrust or anger, depending on if he's told them about Luce.
Yellow: Reborn would act as if he doesn't care. He'll be a bit split, though, in reality. That easy camaraderie and laughter—that's what he wanted from the Acrobaleno, once upon a time even if he'd refuse to admit it. (That's what he wanted with Fon, before the Curse, once upon a time). Even if he comes off as a suave Italian, he's really an idiot. He'd sneer and lash out and the Bats wouldn't really take it well.
Green: Honestly? Verde wouldn't care that much. However, he would be eager to ask questions as to how, why, and when to a lot of things. Some of them sensitive. This will, obviously, rub the Bats the wrong way (ignoring some of their hypocrisy at times). Most of all, I think, he would be confused. The underworld offered so much, gave so much, gave respect and dignity and they wouldn't make you go to school, Fon. So why?
Blue: Colonello and Lal... would be wistful, I think. They were, once, before mafia, military. Sure, not... completely sane military, but military. They'd understand Fon's decision but, if it came down to it, they're not too sure they would make the same decisions as he did. They never were as nice as him, as forgiving as him, as moral as him. (That's what they admire about him, actually. Even after all he faced, he's so very inherently kind). The Bats like them second best and give them the same respect they'd give veterans.
Indigo: Viper... is Viper. Much like Verde, they want to know the how's and why's and when's. Again, this rubs the Bats in the wrong way. They don't like how Viper chases after money. It just feels wrong to them. They especially don't like it when Viper sneers at them and tells them that everything has a price. They almost chase Viper out for that.
Violet: Skull. God, Dick loves Skull, no joke. I've already done one for Skull in the past. The rest of the Bats are a bit more wary, but Skull is undoubtedly the favourite. Skull, meanwhile, is delighted to be the favourite for once and jumps into the mess with fervour.

Your tags on that last BJ post 💙💙💙 I'm so glad I'm not the only one who watched that plotline and was like :/ idk if I'm buying into that tbh. Basically I totally agree with you: it seems in character for BJ, but it's so obviously A Message and it sucks as one imo. Like how was cutting the rope any different from the really hard and quick decisions they have to make in the OR every day? Being in a situation where you can't save someone else so you have to leave them or you'll both die isn't even specific to war, much less to being an actively fighting soldier?? You could experience the same thing in a house fire or a sinking car or something. Maybe I'm just not understanding the point here but idk it just didn't affect me emotionally like it was clearly supposed to because I was like arguing with the episode's thesis on a meta level lol. Sorry for ranting about this to you unprompted idk if I even interpreted your tags correctly or if I'm being incoherent TL;DR Good tags!!! I agree 💙
YEAH like as a narrative statement, if I'm meant to take BJ's assessment in Bombshells as fair and reasonable, it straight up sucks! And to me it does feel like the show commentating on its more subversive past and sort of writing it off as misguided.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way as well! And like, you've inspired me now lol so I want to count the ways it's wrong, in addition to what you've pointed out which I completely agree with too, like I didn't even think of the point that that kind of sacrifice is hardly intrinsic to soldiers in combat, but you're absolutely right and it does ruin the point a little lol.
But like, my biggest issue with it is BJ/maybe the narrative essentially ignoring the fact that the war is caused and perpetuated by people, it's not a natural phenomenon, and those people are the ones Hawkeye and co directed the most derision towards. Like the show has always been super easy on soldiers lol, it's very sympathetic to the guys actually fighting the war, and Hawkeye has specifically said in one of his more iconic speeches of the show that "except for some of the brass, everyone in war is an innocent bystander."
They don't act oh so superior to random soldiers, they act superior to the people who chose to start the war, chose to prolong the war, and who loudly and proudly support the people who do that, like Frank. That’s the authority they flout, and they’re 100% correct for it.
It also doesn't account for the draft - even if Hawkeye and BJ did consider themselves superior to soldiers, they, esp Hawkeye, are there under duress, basically prisoners, and I also think it'd be pretty fair to feel separate and superior to people who volunteered to be there - and that's even just operating within the show's own moral framework, in which again soldiers are usually sympathetic and rarely morally wrong. Like there’s absolutely nothing wrong with resenting the people in the organization that’s functionally imprisoning you, and it sucks to imply that it’s unfair or short-sighted imo. Though yk, it is pretty in-line with a lot of later Mash’s messaging.
And again it's interesting to look at it as solely BJ's reaction to being in that situation, and I think it is actually in character for him - it reminds me of his stringent position in Preventative Medicine a little, and I feel like it complements the apparent fact that he could've dodged the draft but didn't, eg. But if I'm meant to take it as a valid statement, then I just can't.

I kinda wated one of them to die.
Like most people were so sure that either Lzu died or both died, but if Q died that would both 1. surpass expectations from the fandom and 2. Lzu would have a good character developing
The amnesia was handled way better than how dsmp did it but it felt...hollow? Idk, Quackity looked empty after the brainwashing, like his only life purpose was stripped away from him
I mean, at least on Quackity's end he seems to know something is off so I trust them there's going to be a twist at least at the end of the series
But yeah I wanted Quackity to die so badly, he was suicidal, literally had no reason to live, and also would have shut the mouths of many people in Twitter

I get the feeling that may be what they were going for (at least the optimistic parts of me think so!)- Quackity is forced into this happy false ending... but he isn't satisfied- he KNOWS something is wrong... Luzu doesn't seem to have fully caught onto yet as far as I can tell because despite what how he'd act he truly did just want to protect his friend and now they're together again- even if things don't fully make sense (though I don't doubt he'll also start to doubt things eventually)! But Quackity? ... He isn't just gonna accept this- he's far more clever then he ever lots on... like you said: it's hollow, and he knows it.
... But yeah I do feel cheated on Luzu's arc, but I really don't think this is the end of that... Maybe if he gets his memories of this arc back it could also come with getting the full extent of his k4 memories back... I feel like that's the last puzzle piece k!Luzu really needs to truly start a positive arc of sorts. I'm holding out on the hope that we'll get a true conclusion from him someday- even if that means waiting for K6 hahah.
Also NGL seeing Q increasingly become more just.... solely focused on revenge to the point of not caring if he lives and feeling it's his only purpose for living..... it stung yeah. I do hope he get's a happy ending... This one does not count, so like a real happy ending... Find a new reason to keep going y'know? It'd mean a lot to see for a character who feels like he's lost everything, but I get that might just be a personal thing for me.
Also I try to stay away from opinion on Twt so I have no clue what they're saying on there- I only use it for cool fanart- One of the good things about not being fully fluent is that I don't have to read bad takes as much sahdhek-

Tell me about that house. Their kids, their cats, their lizard. What kind of lizard is it? Does Aunt May watch the kids on date night? Have they been given the most heartmeltingly ridiculously nerdy names? What is MJ up to?
listen here's my lukewarm take but Peter Parker just wants to be normal. He's not a hero because he's looking for glory or praise, he's doing it because he can and therefore should. Spider-Man is not a career, it is a hobby and he's going to settle down one day if he can
So maybe in some universe, Norman doesn't turn himself into the green goblin, maybe Harry goes to therapy and lets someone else run Oscorp. Idk how it happens but Harry and Peter get married and buy a little house in Queens not far from Aunt May and Uncle Ben's place because that neighborhood has always felt more like home to Harry than whatever stuffy mansion Norman raised him in. Harry just adores that there are people present in his life. No matter how late he has to stay up, Peter always comes home to him. He never has to worry about if he's measuring up because Harry will always be enough for Peter.
Now I think Harry Osborn is a cat person and I don't think anyone is going to argue this point. Harry can be outgoing, but he prefers that quiet one on one time. Like people with daddy issues get cats that's just the rules of life. They get the dumbest cuddliest orange cat they can find and they name it flash. I can't explain it, but Peter Parker has reptile person energy. Guys that are into very specific sciences and are genuinely good people have some kind of pet reptile, I've never been proven wrong. I think they'd have a crested gecko because they're relatively low maintenance and they're busy people but they're also so sweet once they're comfortable with you. Also, they love climbing and jumping and I think it'd be really cute if Peter and this gecko just hung out on the ceiling together. Harry tries to get Peter to name it Curtis, this is soundly rejected. They decide to name her Lex after the girl from Jurassic Parker because I don't care what time period the spider-man story is set, Peter is a 90s kid.
Also I think they'd adopt older kids. Because Peter is out here doing superhero shit and every other hero has the heartbreaking backstory of dead parents and being tossed around the system till they get powers or are sponsored by a billionaire. But how many kids are in the same situation but don't get powers or are drawn to the dark side instead of the good guys. And like yeah, Peter started doing superhero shit too young as well, but as he gets older the grim reality of that hits harder. So Harry and Peter foster and obviously they can't adopt every kid that passes through their home, but they want to give them everything they need to build the best life they can, even if it's just for a little bit. The kids they do adopt are already too old to change their names, but they ask for suggestions for their middle names, or maybe their trans and want to change their first name too and Peter suggests Ben and May (obviously) but also just the names of fallen heroes and just normal New Yorkers that have helped Spider-Man throughout the years. Harry is the best dad ever even though is terrified that he's going to fuck up the kids. He's constantly scared of acting out like his father, but he's always there for his kids and they feel comfortable telling him anything and he listens. They have enough money from Harry's trust fund and Oscorp that they're comfortable and finally Peter doesn't have to worry about money, but they don't spoil their kids, mostly because Norman used buying things for Harry as a way to skip actually showing affection. They're an "only getting gifts on birthdays and holidays" family. Peter is a "do your homework" kind of dad and Harry is an "I don't feel like going into the office today so you're skipping school and we're going to the zoo and getting ice cream" kind of dad. Also, Harry is the king of the PTA, he only brings the finest homemade baked goods to the school bake sale. And obviously, Aunt May watches the kids, she comes over uninvited (well, she's always invited of course) to hang out with them and the kids agree, Peter's aunt is way cooler than him.
MJ in this universe is still close with Harry and Peter and you know I'm not opposed to a polycule but maybe she didn't have time to settle down. Maybe her own parents' constant fighting just put her off the idea of marriage and commitment. And of course, she loves Peter and Peter loves her, but they just couldn't mesh like that, but they're still friends. MJ pursues her dreams to become a Broadway actress and she is an absolute star, Peter and Harry go to see her opening night of every show. Eventually, she decides she's meant for bigger and better things. She writes and directs her own plays and musicals, she's the biggest name in the industry and she writes a Spider-Man musical and it's a smashing success. And maybe she and Gwen Stacy have a thing since we're just creating the perfect universe. They all meet up for drinks at least once a month if not once a week. And sure, Harry and Peter are married, but they're friends first and Peter has built a family out of his friends and when he has Harry, MJ, and Gwen all together, everything is perfect.

Idk about you, but whenever Inoue does his Inoue thing, I get obsessed. This man has a gift for really winding me up, as you've no doubt noticed.

-Fun fact, before this episode aired, Hirofumi Suzuki and Toutaro (the respective actors of Tsuyoshi and Tsubasa) put up neat little teaser photos. Suzuki's said something along the lines of "You were my best friend, Inuzuka-san", but Toutaro's got mangled by Twitter's into saying something like "Kimono, you were my friend."

-Okay, I think I get the full picture of what's happening now. I think it's possible the Juto's more forceful method of getting Crane Lady to copy Natsumi's appearance affected her a lot more than what happened with Sayama or Mrs. Hanamura, causing an alter to form. I'm, of course, no expert on this subject, but I think that Miho might've formed after Natsumi's no doubt extremely horrible experience of being so violently abducted in front of her beloved fiance and forced to chomp on a paper crane.
-It'd explain why she barely reacted to Tsubasa's presence for so long, even as she was making the dish he taught her right in front of him, but instantly recognized Tsubasa and instantly forgot Tsuyoshi when he said something so personal to Natsumi.

ryuki eps 42-50 notes & final impressions
(note that i probably am not getting around to any of the supplementary content any time soon bc 1) there are so many 2) i'm iffy on alternate endings in the first place 3) the ones that aren't that are crossovers so i'm not watching them until i get there [which won't be for months even if i keep the pace i've been going at & 4) i'm a little burnt out on ryuki and am excited to start faiz])
the way sano just hops around while his final vent goes off and all the antelopes(?) charge is so cute
sano overall is just great. love it when a guy has no principles whatsoever.
love ren, kitaoka, and asakura taking the serendipitous occurrence of them all meeting in room 401 after tojo and the professor had moved out to sit down and go "we hate you you're stupid go kill yourself give us 5,000 dollars" to shinji. he is very stupid though god bless him
one thing i find very funny is that despite asakura being asakura he's actually pretty courteous about the game. like he very well could be (and probably would fare better if he was?) attacking people outside of the mirror world but he just shows up and acts off-putting and strange until they transform. (like he actually reads sano's business card even though he interrupted his tojo-ran-away temper tantrum?) i guess this is why he's shiro's little attack dog he's just really about being a Proper Rider.
also i'm really bad at looking at significant injuries so when tojo jumped into like that water runoff ditch (?) and it looked like something happened to his arm i got so nauseous lol. i don't think he actually got hurt bc it doesn't seem he's injured in his following scenes but still ;;;;;;;
also tojo is so Interesting to me!!!!!!!!!! (this is the millionth time i've said this) i wish i knew where in the metamorphosis he was at so i could possibly make connections. the strength of his heroic ideal and how he's carving parts of his life out (literally, by killing people lol) in order to fit in that very twisted definition yet still failing (both because it is something that is forced on his part And for the unlucky fact that other riders are just stronger than him)
ep 44 don't fucking talk to me. literally the second tojo went "you're the first person to be nice to me since the professor" my fucking stomach dropped (tbh i should have known since sano brought tojo to his apartment in the first place but w/e) that he'd fucking kill him but AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
pain and fucking suffering why are all my favorites DOOMED it's literally a curse.
idk if i were tojo i'd start beating asakura with hammers that's just me though (maybe everyone's just courteous about only fighting in the mirror world bc it's a kids show.... hmm much to think about)

ren clocking shinji with the "has your indecision ever helped a single person" GET HIS ASS!!!!!!! but also STOP IT!!!!! bc while i really don't see a point where pacifism is successfully getting anyone out of anywhere rn (atp in ep 46 at least) it makes me feel so bad about tezuka i'm going to hurl
the way tojo died was lame though L. thematically necessary but lame. (i'm just bitter bc i wanted him to also start hallucinating sano i'm sorry my goggles are on... also i just wanted him to spiral more the car bomb was a great step i wanted it to keep happening.... i get that asakura gets to stay around bc he's shiro's little meow meow but who says we couldn't have had two maniacs until the end [logical reasoning does. who said that])
i've realized in my notes/lb i haven't talked about kitaoka's illness a bunch (because thinking about it makes me So Miserable) but seriously if they had stayed in the scene after ren tells kitaoka he's disqualified it would have been my breaking point for Ryuki Crying (i'm surprised i've lasted this long but tbh ryuki to me inspires an intense hollowness in one's gut that leaves you sitting kind of hunched over staring slack-jawed at your screen like you just got punched rather than like bawling my eyes out) but no we have to immediately cut to asakura fighting the weird blue artificial monsters i don't necessarily understand the significance of? i get that there's generally some obligation for there to be monster fighting in each episode but most of the time i feel like it's such a time waster......
^this is maybe my largest criticism of ryuki? that there's So Much that it very often doesn't sit with itself bc it doesn't have the time to. and i LOVE to sit with a scene so it's just unfortunate. give me time to think!!!

before Everything Started happening i said and i quote "it'd be slay if they let ren win lmao" to make myself laugh bc i had just been released from the Doomed Siblings Pain and Horror Vortex. and then the police started preparing to assassinate asakura and i went pause. and then kitaoka is still slowly dying (i literally can't talk about it pleaseeeeeee just let it happen so this can stop torturing me PLEASEEEEEE) AND THEN SHINJI DIED. SO.
i don't even want to think about anything anymore. i need to excise this show from my brain so i can be normal i can't do this
okay. i fucking bawled all throughout the back half of 50. YOU GOT MEEEEE YOU FINALLY BROKE ME!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS
i literally can't talk about it bc if i start crying again i think i'm literally going to puke i was heaving
