i saw this post here and just wanted to dissect everything lmao

aot 139 spoilers

“Eren admits that he literally killed 80% of the world’s population, he then says he only did it so it would look like eldians stopped a threat”

eren admit to killing 80% of the population bc he did... he’s admitting to what he did, and he says that he wanted to paint them to be the heroes— but not only did he do that, he ended the curse of ymir and gained freedom for his people. it wasn’t just to paint them as heroes

“He also did it so the rest of the world couldnt murder them”

he didn’t “also” do it for that reason, it was an effect, the rumbling ended up killing so many people that they can’t wage war on the eldians like eren says, it keeps them a little safe which they needed especially since some of humanity knows that paradis is what started the rumbling. it’s a cause and effect type thing. because eren killed 80% of the population that remaining population won’t be able to retaliate and try to kill the eldians since there are so little of them

the tybur family is treated like some of martyr and apparently pulling the strings which led to the deaths of millions of innocent eldians was actually a GOOD thing

this scene was interpreted wrong, armin says “...so you want us to be like the tyburs after the great titan war? we’re supposed to protect paradis from reprisal from humanity outside the walls?” he’s asking eren if that’s what they’re gonna do, he never says it’s a good thing. then that’s when eren explains that either way so much of humanity is destroyed that they wouldn’t be able to retaliate if they wanted to

armin thanks eren for doing what he did to free them. not thanking eren for for mass murder period. it’s because of eren that the curse is lifted and that they are free and that’s what armin’s thanking eren for. mass murder is inexcusable, and eren knows that. that’s why after he panics and goes “but i dont want to die!” he comes to a realization that all the people he killed didn’t want to either, that the only way to atone for his sins is by dying himself. even if he didn’t die he would’ve probably been executed, or imprisoned for the rest of the life. just like in mikasa’s ova, “eren’s death is inevitable, no matter what reality you go to eren will always die because he carries death within himself.”

in another translation of the chapter armin thanks eren for being the bad guy so that they could win. he knows what eren did was bad. he’s not excusing it, he just understands why eren had to do it and that eren had no choice if he wanted them to be free.

from the get go freedom was one of the themes of eren’s character. if eren lived the whole entire world would be ruins and eren would’ve been even sadder than now, there would be nobody and it would’ve been worse than it is now. eren killing everyone was definitely not the ending to go. the ending we have could’ve been executed differently, sure, but in my eyes since i get the gist i think isa did an amazing job portraying what he had in mind.

“Armin is more upset with Eren saying he doesnt know how he feels about Mikasa moving on than mass genocide”

once again, armin isn’t all that upset with eren because he understands that eren had a path laid out for him that he had no choice to follow. the point of eren committing mass genocide keeps getting brought up as if it’s not know that mass genocide is a terrible thing. it is and that’s why everyone was so angry about it from the get go, that’s why that one plan of blackmailing humanity with the rumbling and not actually go through with it was brought up once— because they knew how cruel it is. armin knew how cruel it is as i believe it was him who brought that up

he’s upset with eren about mikasa’s feelings in like a banter kind of way. it’s like “this whole entire time this is how you felt but you couldn’t tell her that and let her suffer???? don’t forget what you said to her, she went through hell!” kind of thing. they had already talked about the whole mass genocide thing, mikasa was the next topic of discussion

“Eren then finally shows some fucking emotion and cries abt how he doesn’t want mikasa to be with anyone but him”

in another post i say, "okay so first i think the issue is that a lot of people fail to realize that the way eren acted all throughout season 4 isn’t eren really, that is him putting his emotions at bay so that he can complete something that he laid out for himself for his friends.eren from season 1-3 still exists, and that’s lowkey the eren that was talking the whole time in chapter 139— you can see the how he cares for his friends, you can see the desperation again, the compassion, everything in between.”

eren is still that s1-3 eren, season 4 eren just had to put his emotions aside so he could walk on the path that ymir put in front of him.

him crying over mikasa was one of his selfish desires coming to light, and it was realistic. it’s finally dawning on him that he’s gonna die, he’s finally getting to sit down and ponder about mikasa, he’s getting desperate, he’s panicking, and that compassion that he’s always had for his friends is showing through again. this gives realism to his character— it makes his character all the more human. one second he’s complaining about how he doesn’t want to die and wants to be with his friends bc its crashing on him, and the very next second he’s trying to be at peace with himself, realising that the only way to atone for what he caused is by dying. one second he’s complaining about how he wants miksa to be with anyone but him, the next second he’s coming to terms with himself and that mikasa needs to move on, because he loves her and wants her to live a long and happy life even if it means without him. the selfishness that showed for that mere second makes his character realistic. it shows that he’s still whiny, that little whiny angry boy from s1-3. he was never heartless and he was never cold. he was and is still eren jaeger, and you get a glimpse of the eren we know in that scene.

The founder ymir was apparently in love with the king???? another women stupidly devoted to a man, great.

i’m not too in depth with ymirs story so im not gonna speak too much about this because i myself do wish that whole love thingy went more into depth. i get how mikasa and ymir parallel each other, but other than that i’m not too sure myself, and i’ll admit that. it could be a case of stockholm syndrome, it could be that bc ymir was infatuated with living and she was confined to such a familial role she wanted to live in that role again with the king bc he’s the only person who gave her that familial lifestyle. i’m not sure. but if anything mikasa was im pretty sure the only character “devoted” to a man in aot. and it was because of the role eren played in her life, she’s not a bad written character, she has her developement. which i explain here

apparently mikasa’s unhealthy devotion to eren is what took her out of it????? in fact the series overly romanticizes mikasa’s love for eren despite the two having no chemistry and eren being an ass to her

in a sense, but that’s a simple minded way of saying it. ymir’s devotion to king fritz was unhealthy, eren describes it as “agony of love” because it was pretty unhealthy obvi. like i said ymir and mikasa parallel each other, and seeing mikasa be able to let go and kill the one she loves was that realization for ymir that she was able to do the same thing— that’s how i interpret that scene personally.

and in mikasa doing so, killing eren lifts that curse of ymir and frees ymir regardless, so ymir was happy about that as well. thanks to mikasa for cutting eren’s head off.

the series doesn’t necessarily over romanticize mikasa’s love for eren in my opinion. how i see it is that since eren is a big part of mikasa’s character he was necessary for her development as well, and her development was to let eren go because of how infatuated she was with him. this being said the series points out how unhealthy the way she loved him was especially in s1-3, and her love becomes more healthy when she gets her development in chap 139, finally being able to let eren go and move on. compare that to in the s1 when eren almost dies and she’s ready to die as well. thats development if you ask me.

one of the themes of the show is sacrifice, and almost every character has made one, mikasa sacrifices eren— she kills him and she chooses to go through with that decision despite how much she loves him.

eren was definitely mean to mikasa in s1-3 because she was overbearing, and thats one reason why i say the way she loved him was unhealthy at first. eren wasn’t able to reciprocate her love in the way that she loved him because it wasn’t healthy. eren also wasn’t able to reciprocate it because the last thing he was focused on was the concept of love. once again he had a path laid out for him that he had no choice but to follow, and mikasa didn’t have any play in this path until the very end, so the boy who keeps moving forward does just that and doesn’t pay her much mind, doesn’t get to sit down and think about his feelings for her, what she is to him.

(and i dont think i even need to explain the “mikasa i’ve always hated you seen, the chapter covers that enough)

they do have chemistry time to time, the eren v dina fritz scene, the scarf scene, “what am i to you”, little stuff like that goes into play and gives them these little sparks of chemistry. they couldn’t always grasp onto the full scope of the relationship they had and it was only some times they were able to do that with everything going on.

apparently the titans are just gone now….??? i cant even tell if its because Eren died or because Mikasa really made Ymir calm down

... eren controlling rumbling, eren dies rumbling stops, ymir finally lifts curse bc 1) eren died 2) shes able to come to realization that like mikasa lets eren go, she needs to let fritz go and the curse go. ymir lifts curse, eren’s goal is complete, if titan curse is lifted there are no more titans

Characters who murdered thousands and were the cause for AOT’s entire plot in the first place are now treated as heroes to the eldians… despite the shit that they did.

everyone in aot did some “shit” they all are murders, eren commited mass genocide, reiner commited mass murder, annie murdered so many people, reiner, armin destroyed thousands of people in one go, they all have killed somebody. they are seen as “heros” because they stopped the rumbling that was going to kill everyone else...... idk about you but if you just saved me from a horrid death, my racist opinion on you doesn’t really matter because you just saved my fucking life lmao, yes despite the shit that you did— because they have killed people too, and they were ready to kill the eldians still until armin told them that they killed eren, that they saved their lives and eliminated titans for good.... like whew???

the series went from “The military is cool” to “the military did a lot of fucked up shit” to “the military is SUPER cool”, and buffed it up

i’m not really sure where you got that tbh,, like the military wasn’t really a big thing up until the whole marleyan thing??? and they didn’t have much plot in the story besides it existing so like i’m not sure what to say ab this, i can’t really remember many times the military was even mentioned until now, but if anyone wants to elaborate on this for me that’d be nice

oh and they buffed up the military because since paradis had eren jaeger who started the rumbling, just in case, they had to be ready to fight again if the rest of humanity wanted to do something. after marley they updated all their technology, why can’t they update the military as well? it’s realistic, new weapons, new military, and all that

The military was buffed up bc the eldians are scared of the rest of the world retaliating, so Eren didn’t really fix shit except giving the Eldians an upper hand in the war

eren jaeger was the one who always screamed “i will kill all titans, we will get freedom” ya de ya de ya.... didn’t he do both of those things????? i thought those were some of his main goals as a character, he fixed those issues, the issues that have been issues since the start of the show

the rest of humanity don’t know the full scope like the eldians or marleyans, they’re probably just as scared and like in real life not all nations are at peace with one another. this is just another realistic factor— attack on titan is becoming a world closest to the real one we live in, there are militaries, there are still conflicts, there is still all these little aspects that bring the manga even more to life.

in my opinion it’d lowkey be weird if the rest of the world was just like “oh yeah those mfs that started the rumbling we love them haha” no... it killed 80% of the population like eren said... that’s not something to love.

Historia has a really disturbing speech about how the fight isnt going to end until either the Eldians or the rest of the world are exterminated, despite Gabi has an entire arc about her being deradicalized and learning to see the other side of things.

and yes i am not kidding, the heroic conclusion is that there’s still going to be a war, eldians are going to commit mass genocide (which was proposed by eren) and people straight up thank eren for the evil shit he did.

“this fight will not end until either eldia or the world dissapears. this is what eren said and he may be right.” she doesn’t say that it’s for sure gonna be a fight until one or the other is wiped out, she says there’s a possibility of this being the case because of the fact that these nations aren’t at complete peace yet.

not everyone is gonna be able to see the other side of things, and this applies to the whole word— us as humans will never be able to agree on one thing, and that’s what this shows. no matter what the cycle of hatred will always continue, and this applies to real life and this manga. we are human beings and that’s what makes what historia says even more real. “this is the world we live in, a world without titans.” titans are no longer their conflict. now it’s only like the real word— humans against humans, and as far as humanity existed it’s always been humans against humans. historia’s speech shows that.

the heroic conclusion is that as a human race nothing will always be agreed upon, eldians are going to fight if they need to like our military fights when they need to. people are thanking eren for freeing them and ending the curse of titans that they suffered with for 2000 years. nobody’s thanking him for his actions of mass genocide, they are thanking him for the motive behind his actions, and thats what makes him so heroic.

that he endured and did something so terrible so that anybody who lives after him can be free, and humanity can continue existing as humanity should’ve existed from the beginning.

The Space Between (3)

Pairing: Eren Yeager/Reader or Female OC!

word count: 3.6k Series

Summary: Harmony was a young girl who just lost her family, she was more of an open wound then most. When she catches the eye of Eren Yeager her whole life changes and she doesnt realize she might be in love.

Content for this Chapter: Rivals, mean eren, mean oc!. somewhat nice eren

She was tired. Her breathing became heavier and heavier the more she ran. This was her 10th time running around the bulidngs how long does he want her to keep going? She starts to move into a slow walk at the lack of oxygen she is starting to feel.

"KEEP RUNNING" her commander yells out.

She looked over to see him standing there watching her every move. She knocks her head back trying to get some relief from the strain in her neck. She huffs out and turns around cause she hears dirt being smashed and she sees its....... Eren. How did he get behind her so fast? She can't get beat by him.

She starts to run faster so he won't catch up to her. "I'm gonna beat you!" she hears Eren yell out. Hes getting closer. Did he get faster?

She cant let him win. "No you arent!"

He comes to her side and now they are running as fast as they can. Shes so close to the finish line, she just has to keep running.

She puts her head forward and passes her commander she starts to slow down her running. "I totally beat you!" Eren says painting.

"No you didn't I beat you!" she yells out bending down to put her hands on her knees.

"DID TOO!"

"DID NOT!"

She furrows her brows at him. She stands up about to go up to him but a hand stops her. Its her commander.

"Do you want more time?" he asks. She turns away from him.

"I shouldn't even be doing this, when he started it!" She pointed her finger at Eren.

He scoffs, "Huh?! You're the one who started it!!" He yells at her.

"For the LAST time, I DIDNT START IT!" She screams.

They both walk up to each other about to punch one another before they both get knocked down to the ground by their commander.

"THATS IT! ANOTHER TWO WEEKS ADDED!" He screams as loud as them.

They went silent after that. "Are you serious?!" Harmony asks.

"Do I look like i'm kidding?" He quirks his eyebrow up at her.

He's not kidding.

"The both of you get out of my sight before i banish you both" he spits.

Both Eren and her get up and go back to their room to get their rest of their duties started.

This will never end with him will it?

.....

"Eren!" Armin yelled out to him. "So how was the run? he asks.

"Like it always is" he huffs getting ready to go clean the Tavern.

"She gave you a hard time again?" he aksed the young boy.

"No..... shes just like she always is. And im not gonna let her be a bitch towards me-"

"Eren" Mikasa interrupts him. Eren looks her direction. "You cant let her get to you like that or you're going to get kicked out"

"Im not"

"You are, you were always hot headed like this" she tells him. "How are you supposed to 'destroy all the titans' when you cant even train to beat them anymore?" she tells him.

Shes right. He knows she is right.

"So you want me to sit there and let her disrespect me?" he tells her.

"No, but you dont need to be one step closer to getting kicked out."

He stays silent.

"We need you Eren...." she wanst to say more. (I need you) "We cant sacrifice you because you will be the one to destroy the titans" she says soflty.

"Right armin?"

Armin turns to look at her. "Yes"

"Mikasa don't tell me what to do. i'll deal with her my own way" he says and walks out the door.

They are right. He doesn't want to admit but they are right. He cant let someone like Harmony destroy his dream of destroying the titans.

....

She huffs trying to get the sticky beans out of the floor. They had two more weeks left to clean out this whole tavern and they werent even half way finished. She looks towards Eren's and sees him standing on top of the stairs wiping away the tea that was thrown there.

She rolls her eyes at how easy it is for him since he is just wiping something easy while shes abou to blow her shoulder out trying to clean this food. "You know it would be alot quicker if you helped me clean this side, you know like our commander said! she growled.

He doesnt say anything back. Is he ignorimng her?

"Hey? Im talking to you! she gets louder.

He doesnt say anything back again.

She throws the silver wear at his head. "Hey! Cut it out!" he yells

"Im talking to you!"

"Yeah i can clealry hear you, you sound like a whaling cat!"

Her mouth agaps at the insult, "When im talking to you, you talk back idoit!"

"No I dont, look im trying to get this done and you are distracting me!"

"im disctrating you?"

He nods his head.

"Distracting you from what excalty, you falling on your face half of the time" he stops and she smirks at how much it got to him. For the past weeks he hasn't been able to do any of the training cause he either falls on his face or is the last one out of all of the them. He throws the towel on the floor ands walks towards her.

"Look! I dont know what your problem is but i don't have time for it. I didnt come here to fight humans I came here to fight titans. I have a dream. A dream that one day I will destroy all the titans, and you are ruining it! So yes im ignoring you because i dont need some annoying wench like you DESTROYING MY DREAM!!'

Well that was dramtic.

But she doesnt say anything. She just looks at him.

In a way she saw herself in him. She had the same dream.

She turns around and walks away picking up a towel to help him with the cleaning. "You aren't the only one with that dream you know?" she says quietly.

"Huh?!"

"I'm saying, you aren't the only one who has come here to get some petty revenge on the Titans...... everyone here has lost someone..... someone important to them" she looks away from him trying to fight the tears coming down her face.

What does she mean by that? He thinks.

When she turns around he sees tears welling up in her eyes, he also notices how she is trying to hide them. Why? Did something bad happen to her?

When he looks at her, he doesn't see the same Harmony that threw food on him, or the same Harmony that screams at him every chance she got.

He saw someone softer, like under all that lent up anger was a girl who was lonely and just wanted friends. His eyes go soft as well, and for a moment just a moment he saw the real her.

But it's over in a instant, because she notices how his eyes go soft. She can't let him see her cry, she can't let him so her be so weak.

Her face changes back to that rough Harmony, she walks up to him and punches his arm tightly.

"OW! WHAT THE HELL!"

"GET BACK TO WORK DUMB ASS! she yells.

"Why did you pinch me??!!"

"Because you are just standing around and we have to get this done, now get back to work!" She walks away from him going back to picking at those beans on the floor.

But Eren doesn't fail to look back at her one last time. Who was Harmony really?

......

"Next group step up" her commander says. Shes next up to use the MOD gear, she isnt nervous at all. She's observed many people getting in it and it didn't seem too hard.

But was she so wrong. Getting into was harder than she thought. She can't even put her leg up in the suit because it gets falling out from under her butt.

Eren looks over and sees her struggling and he can't help but feel...... guilty. But why?

Why should he feel guilty for someone who has been insulting him since he first got here. But even then he can't help but feel guilty at the fact that he has a chance to help her and is not trying to take it.

He runs up to her since no one was even trying to help her. He guesses that's her effect, ever since she got here she hasn't really mad a lot of her friends. But that's her fault though she rude to everyone who goes nears her.

Even so he still shouldn't leave her like that. "Hey. You're doing it wrong!" He blurts out.

He was no expert on this himself but he at least knew how to get in it.

She turns around and looks at him with a deadly stare. "What the hell do you want Yeager?!"

"Nothing..... it's just- here let me help!" he walks up to her and reaches to grab the cords pulling up the MOD gear but she instantly knocks his hand out of the way.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" She shouted.

"You're doing it wrong!" he yells out.

Her eyes go wide at what he just said. Is he trying to help her? Like hell she will get help from him.

"I don't need it" She says while still struggling to get inside of the gear.

She huffs at her stubbornness. "Yes you do, now listen to me!" He grabs her hand roughly and puts it on the cord she immediately pulls away.

She didn't know what to do or say. She hasn't had a human touch like that since..... well since that day.

"NO!"

She pushes him down to the ground and Eren yells out in pain.

"YOU THINK I NEED YOUR HELP ASSHAT?!" She screams for everyone to hear.

He stands up quickly, shocked that she even pushes him down so fast. "I was just trying to help?!" he yelled.

"I don't care! What gives you the right?!"

"It's not my fault you don't know how to work this thing!"

She stares at him for a long time. What can she even say to that? He's right she doesn't know how to do it.

But out of everyone why did Eren have to be the one to help her? He thinks he's so much better than her doesn't he?

"You think you're better than me?" She snaps.

"What-"

"I'll show you, who is really going to defeat the titans" She points her finger to her chest and walks away from the crowd that was being brought up next to them.

What the hell just happened? Eren thought to himself.

......

Getting out of that hot sun was honestly the highlight of her day today.

Sitting in the Tavern that didn't have those massive food stains on the walls was so peaceful. Not only because she got to eat here but because where she sat she could look outside the window and see the sun go down.

She sat by herself most of the time and she liked it that way. She wasn't much of a talker herself but all she needed was herself at this point and that's all that mattered to her.

But she can't help but look down at the people in the room and get..... jealous. She wouldn't admit it but she was mainly jealous of Eren. She was a very good observer and she saw the way Mikasa and Armin treated him.

It's like they would both die for him and she wishes she had someone like that in her life. Well at least she did..... at one point.

Shes not saying she wants someone to die for her because she honestly can't handle another person dying in her life. But she wants someone to care for her again.

She missed it. She missed when someone worried for her. She missed how her mother would always patch her back up when she ran a little to fast and fell and scrapped her knee. She missed when her father would read her a bed time story because she could not sleep cause of the night storms.

She looks down at all the people laughing together and drinking together. It reminds her of the time her family was celebrating her 7th birthday party.

How her mom made her, her favorite birthday cake flavor, and how her uncle ended up getting so drunk he couldn't even stand on his own two feet.

She smiled.

But that smile was soon washed away by the tears that came down her face.

She misses those times. She misses the times where she could just laugh with her family and be happy.

All of that was taken from her, it's gone now.

That's why she has to kill the Titans. That's why she has to destroy them all.

But the bright side of this is she doesn't have to worry anyone else dying on her. Now that she was alone she didn't have time to worry about other people.

That was a good thing.

Was it though?

"AHHHH!" WHATS GOING ON?" An old man yelled out.

"SWEETIE GET BACK INSIDE!" A women screamed out to her lover she didn't have time to reach out to him because he was already being picked up by a mindless titan.

"HONEY!" She yelled out to him.

A little girl came running outside. "DADDY WAIT!" she cried tears pooling around her eyes.

"SWEETIE GET BACK INSIDE!" another lady ran out to the young girl.

"MOM!"

She was more of an older women, she could barely even walk but once she saw her precious grand daughter out there it's like she could run a whole mile.

Everything goes black and the little girl is alone.

Shes alone in the dark space.

"Hello!" She calls out but no one answers.

She walks around holding on to her doll her father made for her.

"It's your fault!" She hears faint whispers in the air.

"It's your fault!" she turns around and no one is there.

"It's your fault, you're weak" multiple voices start to pile on top of one another and they eventually start to scream at the little girl.

She covers her ears but it's no use her head feels like it can explode. "Shut up!" she yells

Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.

It's no use.

"STOP!" she comes up from the deep sleep she was once in.

Another nightmare.

"Are you okay?" She hears a familiar voice call down to her. She looks up and sees her roommate at the top bunk.

Sasha was her name.

"Yes i'm fine" Harmony tells the girl.

"Are you sure, you were tossing and turning a lot last night" Sasha tells her.

"Yes, i'm fine like I said" Harmony spits getting angry at the constant nagging she was doing.

Sasha refrains from asking any more questions, she clearly knows when Harmony is in one of those moods.

She feels like a furnace, she's too hot to be in this little room so she leaves out the room to get some fresh air.

It's still dark outside? How long was she asleep for? It had to have only been a couple of minutes.

She looks up at the sky, she can't help but get lost at looking at all the stars in the sky. She wishes she could count every single one of them. There was always to many though.

She did that a lot with her mom. They would come out here and count all the stars till she slowly started to fall asleep. Well she would pretend to be asleep. She smiles at the memory.

But starts to cry once again. Why can't she stop crying every time she thinks of her mom?

Eren was only trying to get a pale of water until he saw Harmony close by the well. He stops, he doesn't know why though?

He usually would never stop what he was doing just becasue she was around, it's probably because he wants to see what she was doing.

She was looking at the sky, why was she out so late? Could she not sleep?

Wait why is he worried about what she is doing? It's not like he cares about her anything......

He gets interrupted by his thoughts when he hears a faint sob leave her chest. She's crying? But why?

Should he say something? No she won't like that.

He does the only thing he can think of and just walks up to the well and pretend he never saw her.

Yeah that's the perfect idea, he thinks.

She turns around when she hears someone coming up behind her she thinks it's Sasha again and she tries to mentally prepare herself for the questions she is going to get asked but when she looks over it's not her at all.

Instead it's him. Eren.

She doesn't hide the eye roll she does when she sees him.

"Hey to you to then" he sarcastically says.

"What are you doing out here?"

"Why is it any of your business" she interrupts him.

"It's not, i'm just asking" this is the first time that he didn't scream or insult her when she was being rude to him.

What's up with him?

"I'm just looking at the stars" she says quietly.

"Oh, you like to star gaze?"

"Yeah, is that a problem?"

"Oh..... umm.... no it's just, I like to look at the stars too" he says while putting the bucket down.

She turns his way shocked at his answer. "Wait! Really?" she gushed.

He smiles at her reaction.

That was actually really..... cute. He thought.

"Yeah, umm you see that star up there" he points.

"I called that one the big toe" he exclaimed a light flashing in his eyes.

"The big toe?" she smiles a little at the ridiculous nickname. "Why that name?"

"Well you see at the time me and Mikasa had been beating up these dudes who were picking on Armin, and one of them and fallen and broke his big toe." He tries to control his laughter.

"It was actually quite hilarious because it was the first star that had appeared in the night sky, we named it that because it was a reminder to us that we won't let anyone stand in our way" he looks up again and Harmony just sits and listens.

"It was basically a promise between all three of us .... we've kept it ever since" he says.

Their friendship is so powerful. Her heart tugs at the feeling, she feels....envy.

When he looks back at Harmony he can't help but feel like he has seen her from somewhere.

Maybe she wouldn't feel this way if only she had her family still here. If only that day didn't happen. If only she had did something to help them.

"It's your fault"

She turns around looking at Eren thinking he spoke. But it wasn't him.

"It's your fault" she hears once again.

Who's saying that?

"it's your fault"

She feels her head starting pound against her skull and she starts to twitch and Eren notices.

She scrunch's her eyes to try and numb the pain but it doesn't work. The pounding gets louder and louder and she eventually starts to moan and the pain.

"Hey, are you okay?" he asks.

"I'm fine!" She blurts out. "Ah!" she yells holding her head in her hands.

"it's your fault"

"Stop it!" She yells out.

"Harmony-" Eren tries to reach out to her but she smacks his hand away.

"I told you i'm fine!" she growled. She lands on her knees holding her head in her hands to try and get the pain away.

"It's your fault"

"SHUT UP!" she screams out.

Eren doesn't know what to do or say. He just stares out to her. She takes deep heavy breaths and he wants to reach out to her again but he is scared at getting yelled at again.

She tries to stand back up and turns and looks at Eren who has a confusing look on his face.

"What the hell are you looking at?!"

"Nothing i-i was just-"

"ITS NIT MY FAULT!" she screams at him. What is she saying?

Why does she feel like this? She feels like she just run another one of those 10 laps. Maybe she needs to take a nap. Yeah sleeping will help.

"Harmony-" he tries to reach his hand out to her but she punches him instead.

"Stay the hell away from me! I know what you're doing. You trying to find my weak points right? Well that's not gonna happen, because i'm not weak!" she hissed.

Eren hold his face in his hands. "WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM YOU WITCH?!" He screams. But she is already inside her room before she can insult him back.

Just when he thought she has changed she went right back to who she was.

Maybe there wasn't anything special about her? Maybe he is just imagining things. God he hates her.

He spits blood out of his mouth and grabs the bucket and gets water from the well, but he stops for a moment.

Maybe there isn't another Harmony hiding under all that hardness and roughness. Maybe that is who she is.

It can't be though. That day she seemed so different, what's wrong with her now? And why the hell was she screaming that way? Is she in pain?

Why do I care? He thinks.

Okay so you two met when you went to collect some information about the team to send to volleyball monthly since you were in the student council.

When you entered and went to the coach to ask him about the things you needed Yahaba tried doing the ball thing on you but he accidentally hit it too hard.

When you saw the ball coming you dodged it.

Unfortunately Kunimi was standing behind you so it hit him instead.

Since you felt bad you offered to get him some ice cream.

He agreed because you looked nice and you weren't one of Oikawa's fangirls.

(good job Yahaba you just got Kunimi a date)

So you two went out to get ice cream and in the middle of the ‘date’ Kunimi realized that he was developing a minor crush on you because he just expected you to buy him ice cream and call it a day.

But instead you're actually interested in the conversation and being very nice.

After the ‘date’, when you two saw each other in the hallways you would always wave to each other and smile at each other and you developed a sort of friendship.

Everyone knew that you two were crushing on each other and your friends and the volleyball team sorta forced you to confess to Kunimi.

And so you did *rather hesitantly*.

And Kunimi accepted so you guys started dating!! Yay!

Okay so at the beginning of the relationship he's sort of closed off.

Like from closed off i mean quite and it frustrated you quite a lot cause things were barely different than before.

Because aren't all couples supposed to be cute with each other.

(reminder you both are first years so you guys have no or very less experience with relationships)

So this led to you talking to him about this issue and Kunimi was relieved because he didn't want to make you uncomfortable and you were like :O

So after this Kunimi started to gradually open up more and all was good yet once again.

Also Kunimi would try to be sweeter around you and not try to piss you off like he does to other people.

If you guys would have a fight anyways and he knew he was wrong, he would definitely apologize as soon as he can.

But if you were wrong ohoho

But like even if you apologize to him later he’ll like keep it in the back of his mind and every time he wants something he would be like-

‘Remember that time when…’

‘What do you want Kunimi?’ *sighs*

Okay on to cuddling.

This boy loves to cuddle but he's too shy to admit it.

Like he gets all pouty when he wants cuddles and you don't cuddle with him.

That's understandable but like HE DOESN'T ASK FOR THEM.

He just expects you to know somehow and he doesn't even leave any hints.

Like what do you want me to do Kunimi.

Okay but when you two do cuddle hes just like the softest most shyest person.

Personally I think Kunimi would like to be a small spoon, just like

A blanket is wrapped around you two as you two sit in front of the tv. It buzzes in the background but you don't pay any mind to it, you only focus on Kunimi. He melts into your touch and you slowly lull him to sleep. You set your head on top of his and bask in the smell of his sweet peony scented shampoo.

But like I mean you get my point.

Then one time you came over to his house and halfway through your hangout you got his hoodie from his closet and he was so confused like why???

And he asked you, it went like this,

‘Oi, why did you take out my hoodie?’

‘Just because’

‘Welp that's creepy’

‘Shut up Kunimi!’

Generally he was very annoyed at first and thought it was borderline creepy cause you don't just take other people's clothes.

But later on he got used to it and if he sees you in school without your jacket he always leaves a spare hoodie in your locker.

Also when you come over to his house now there's a clean hoodie randomly lying on his bed.

I wonder who that might be.

Also when Kunimi takes you to his volleyball practice as well he makes sure to give you his jacket just to piss off Kindaichi that he got a s/o before him.

When he first took you to practice the team literally swarmed you and they were throwing questions from left and right until Iwaizumi gave them all a slap on the back of their heads.

After that they didn't really swarm you but got to know you normally by talking.

Kunimi also tried his damn hardest to keep you away from Oikawa cause Kunimi knows that Oikawa’s an idiot (the Oikawa slander though) but somehow you two became friends???

He still doesn't understand how it happened.

One day he made lunch for you and brought it to school, since you guys meet up in the morning outside the gym, the team saw him giving homemade lunch to you and they teased him ever since.

But other than that Kunimi’s surprisingly into slightly domestic stuff.

Like he wakes up to make breakfast for you sometimes (a skill most likely taught by his sister)

And he just likes to play his ‘calm music’ Spotify playlist and just hum along to it while making you pancakes (which are fucking delicious btw)

And one day you just walk up behind him and give him a bake hug and say,

‘Didn't know you could make pancakes….

Can you make like three more, I'm very hungry’

And Kunimi just sighs violently and in his mind he's like ____ such a dumbass.

But yk he loves you obviously or he wouldn't make these three extra pancakes for you.

Sometimes when he sees you being a dumbass he's like why do i like them again?

But then he sees your eyes shining when you play around with the rest of your friends and he sees the love and loyalty you have for them and you look over and he sees your pupils dilate and he sees your smile, the one you give him, the one that's reserved for him and he knows the answer to his question.

Even though he likes you (its loveee~)

He still makes fun of you… jokingly.

For example if you try to do a receive and it fails and the ball hits your face instead or something hell snicker at you before trying to help you up.

You beat him up later for laughing at you dont worry.

Bonus point- Kunimi and you don't go out on dates very often so on anniversaries Kunimi plans a date according to your interests.

Like if you're into Attack on Titan hobo eren hot he’ll take you to a theme park based on Attack on Titan.

i think im lost again

+ word count : honestly idek, ill take a guess at maybe nearly 700-800?

+ characters : levi ackerman, armin arlert, mentions of eruri and eremin (armin and levi r not shipped fuck out of here)

+ warnings : season 3 attack on titan spoilers, mentions of death, modern!au, levi is basically a dad without being a dad (does that make him a dilf??), angst i suppose

+ summary : erwin was always good at this, levi thinks. people stuck to him like glue.

+ author's note : this is just a personal modern!au headcanon that i ranted to a friend abt and decided to make it full out

in modern aus i see eren as looking up to levi, bc he ooks up to him in the manga in some ways, levi cares abt his wellbeing n shit

well armin, since he was chosen to live over erwin, he'd look up to erwin in a modern au

and when erwin dies in that au bc ofc he has to die, armin is still a teenager.

i like to think that they all lived in the same town as kids, and erwin always looked out for armin since he had no one else other than his friends.

he basically lets armin live with him when he's not with eren, who also has no family and sort of couch surfs between jean and sasha - sasha's dad loves eren for whatever reason so he stays there a lot, and welcomes armin and mikasa with him - and so erwin and armin r close

and levi is always around, so he sees armin a lot, even if he takes care of eren more - he lets eren stay at is house on nights when he feels like hes overstayed his welcome at sasha’s.

but levi still cares abt armin bc he sees how erwin cares abt armin and levi is in love with the blond facebook dad

but erwin died when armin is like 15, so he still needs someone to look out for him

and erwin asks levi to do that, bc he trusts him and knows levi would take care of him just like he had

anyways, he asks levi to take care of him and levi does

but armin is a 15 yr old who just lost yet another person who cares abt him

and even tho hes grateful that levi cares for him, he misses erwin so much.

he acts out bc of it bc hes a kid going through trauma and its what kids do. he starts acting even worse than eren and eren is a fucking demon spawn

armin and eren share a room, even tho levi had two empty rooms so they could have their own, and eren has stuff in the other room but armin doesn’t like the dark so eren stays there with him.

and levi isn’t really good at taking care of kids in the traditional way.

he wakes them up every weekday for school by telling them he'll kick their ass if he has to take them himself - but he'll still drive them when it rains or its cold

he doesnt really know how to cook bc erwin always did that, but his notes app is full of recipes erwin always recommended that were easy to follow bc he was always worried that levi always ate too much cold leftovers from days before and noodles

armin knows hot to cook pretty well bc erwin taught him but he enjoys laughing at levi failing at cooking simple shit - he burned water somehow

but levi still tries so its fine

he tries letting armin know hes welcome, and that he can ask for whatever he needs

he'll leave him lunch money on the counter

and when he notices armins jackets getting a little too short around the wrist he drops a new one by his lap when he sits on the couch

he pulls the blanket all the way to his chin if he falls asleep on the couch.

he'll mention he's going to get a haircut when he notices armin's hair getting longer, and says he can go with him if he wants

but armin still acts so off.

before erwin was gone, armin always acted happy, even though he never had much, and levi feels guilty knowing he cant do what erwin did for him, but he's doing this for erwin, and knows erwin wouldnt have put armin in his care in the first place if he didn’t trust him

i see taking care of armin as the task that keeps levi going, just like how killing zeke is what keeps him alive in the anime.

both promises he makes to erwin and wont give up on until he’s fulfilled it

but one day armin just disappears. he doesnt come back after school with eren like usual. so he and levi try calling him and get nothing. eren offers to go look for him and levi tells him to stay safe n waits back home to see if armin will show up there

and he does like 5 mins after eren leaves.

and levi feels his chest just deflate with relief. it was cold outside, and armin was out there alone.

his cheeks and nose r red from being outside for so long

when levi asks where he's been, it comes out harsher than he meant, but its just bc he was worried, and armin rolls his eyes and asks why it matters

levi tells him its bc he's a kid and doesnt get to just disappear without a trace whenever he wants. levi never minded armin doing whatever he wanted - within regulation - but most times he knew eren was with him, or mikasa, someone who would call him if something happened

and armin says “you're not my father.” and starts taking off his jacket and stuff

“yeah, but i am the person who's taking care of your ass.”

and that seems to make armin a little more ticked off than he already was, bc he turns to levi and says, “well i never asked you to do that.”

to which levi replies without thinking, “no but erwin did”

levi and armin never talk abt erwin, ever.

its like an unspoken rule between them. its not that they arent as comfortable with each other - they arent anyways but - they just dont do that, talk abt how they feel abt erwin, and him being gone

armin looks like hes gonna cry before he just says “well i wish it was erwin that was still here instead of you”

ALMOST AS IF HES SAYING HE WISHED IT WAS LEVI THAT DIED INSTEADDD

and levi is suprised that armin would ever, it hurts a little, and he just nods in agreement and says “me too.”

armin doesnt say anything back to it, he just turns and makes his way to his room, slamming the door behind him

and levi is exhausted. in his head he wonders how erwin had done it - balanced college and a job and a fucking teenager

but then he remembers that erwin was erwin, and hed always been good at that type of thing

people stuck to him like glue

thats the first night he lets himself admit that he misses him

he feels like he’s failing at the one thing erwin asked of him

when eren shows back up, levi apologizes for not letting him know that armin had came back

but eren just tells him that armin had texted him when he’d arrived - i have a hc that eren and armin were each others first crushes but uhebdbsi

he tells levi that armin had said hed went to the beach

erwin used to take armin to the beach all the time before he died

he’d collect shells with him, and the ones that armin really liked, he’d give them names

he still has one called smith from the last time erwin had taken him to see the ocean

a few weeks go by after that

they never really talked before, but now it seems almost even worse

the silence that they normally exist in feels empty

but everything felt empty without erwin

eren lets levi know where theyre going to be whenever theyre not home, when theyll be home, etc

levi never asked for him to do that, but he does it anyways

levi’s thankful for the near suicidal maniac at that point

even though he always was

he saw a lot of himself in eren, and he sees a lot of himself in armin too

levi and armin never really apologize to each other, but one night when levi’s attempting to cook, armin walks in the kitchen and watches him place things on a pan

“you’re putting them too close together.”

armin steps beside him and tilts his head to the side, as if hes gesturing for levi to move

and he does, letting the younger and taller boy move the prerolled croissants further away from each other on the baking tray

“they never wouldve cooked all the way through like that,” armin tells him

with a scoff, levi mumbles that he sounds like erwin

armin pauses for a second, before sliding the pan in the oven. levi tells him how long the packaging said they went on so that he can set the oven timer

armin sets it for two minutes longer, and levi’s heart aches

erwin did that, too

“i miss him”

it slips out without him meaning for it to

and he thinks he’s ruined armin’s head again, when he’s supposed to be someone this kid can look up to

but he doesnt leave

armin just leans against the oven and nods “me, too”

after that, things arent bad anymore

sure, it takes awhile for them to completely warm up to each other, but they manage

enough that armin sits in on levi’s cooking sessions just to point out what hes doing wrong - something that helps, bc pretty soon levi is learning

he cooks him, armin, and eren an entire meal without burning anything

eren laughs when armin tells him that the man had forgotten to grab an oven mit and had stuck his entire hand in the oven to grab a pan

levi raises his eyebrow when he notices the way armin blushes at eren’s laugh, of all things

and they talk abt erwin more

they have more to say about him that eren, and its just something the two of them share, so they tend to save it for little moments, tiny snippets of things that remind them of the blond

after about a year, things are good

armin asks to have his 17th birthday at the beach, and who would levi be to say no

levi doesnt particularly like the beach, he detests sand, but its for armin, so he’ll do it

its for his kid

him and erwins kid

at the party, he finds a smile coming to his face when he sees armin actually laughing and having fun

kid had been through too much hell at 17, so he deserved to be happy, even if it was only for a few moments

on their way home that evening, eren and armin passed out from a day of swimming and running on the beach - levi made the both of them bring extra towels to save his car seats from salt water and sand

eren’s head is on armin’s shoulder, and the blond’s is resting atop eren’s head

when they get home, the two of them trudge towards their room, but armin turns and holds his closed fist out to levi

with a raised eyebrow, levi holds his hand out and lets armin drop something into his hand, before the boy pivots and continues his shuffle to his and eren’s shared room

levi glances down at the object in his hand

its a shell

armin names it erwin

Demonbirds

Chapter 4: House of Mystery

The battle was over. The titans rested on the cold hard ground gasping for air, unable to process what just happened. They've been fighting non-stop for hours, killing off every parademon they see. It seemed like it would never end at first, and they feared that they might not be able to hold them off any longer. But then, to everyone's surprise, all of the parademons suddenly shut down.

"What just happened?" Beast Boy asked, shifting back to his human form. His left arm was broken, his legs and face bloodied and bruised. A look of confusion covered his face, not knowing if he should be happy or terribly worried.

"They're all down!" Superboy said in disbelief, he sets himself down on a piece of metal that fell off from a building. "I can't believe it..."

"That must mean they succeeded." Damian said matter-of-factly. He wanted to look calm and collected but his face betrays him. A wave of relief hits him, his lips curving up.

Everyone cheers. They hugged each other, cried tears of joy, and healed each others wounds. Now it was a matter of waiting for the justice league to come back.

Three hours passed and finally a boomtube appears on the sky. The familiar faces of heroes fly down and land softly on the ground. Their bodies were badly wounded too, but they seem to be holding up better now.

Damian runs towards his father but says nothing. He looks around, noticing the lack of numbers. 'Where is she?' he thought.

"They will follow us shortly. Cyborg couldn't handle opening a boomtube big enough for everyone to enter. Constantine will be opening a portal anytime soon for the rest." Batman announces to everyone as if reading his son's mind.

"Were there any heavy casualties?" Donna speaks up, worried about Diana who stayed behind to teleport with Constantine's group.

"None." Batman answers. "There's no need to worry, it was a success. Everyone did a great job."

The titans let out a sigh of relief and cheered again. "Let's celebrate!" Beast Boy shouts happily, Shazam and the others join him.

"We'll celebrate after we fix up the mess." Superman said, killing the atmosphere. "Don't get me wrong I'm not against it, after we're done with this we'll have a big celebration sponsored by Batman." he adds quickly, feeking guilty for ruining the mood.

Batman glares at him but he doesn't protest. Everyone cheers again and chatter excitedly about the future party.

"What's taking them so long?" Damian asked. He didn't care about the party, instead he felt impatient and uneasy. He worried about Raven, his chest hurt thinking about her. 'Is she injured too? Did Trigon hurt her? Is she healing now?' Countless thoughts run in his head wondering if she's alright.

"Be patient dude." Superboy said, patting Damian's shoulder. "Raven's a strong girl, I'm sure she's fine."

"I know she's strong." Damian felt offended that Superboy thought he saw Raven as someone weak. "But you've seen how Trigon has hurt her, and that's him being trapped in the crystal imagine if he was set free."

"Well Batman said everything was fine. If something bad happened to her I'm sure he wouldn't lie about it especially to you. " Superboy shurgs. He enjoyed seeing Damian being a lovesick fool, it's a fresh breath from his usual rude and cold demeanor. Whenever he teased her about Raven he would always get annoyed but he could see that he didn't actually hate it. Although he worries that his friend is clearly still in denial of his feelings and how this may become a hindrance in developing their relationship.

"I suppose you are right." Damian admits with a defeated sigh. He didn't understand why he felt so overwhelmingly worried about Raven. He didn't understand why seeing her made him feel so at ease. Lastly, he didn't understand why he didn't feel those same emotions towards his other team mates. 'Why do I feel like I'm being biased towards her? Why do I have these feelings?'

Suddenly a bright golden circle cuts through the air, and in it John Constantine steps out carrying Raven, with the the other heroes following behind him. Panic swells in Damian as he watches John carry her seemingly lifeless body.

"Calm down boy she's asleep." John said quickly, noticing Damian's look of horror the moment he steps out of the portal. At first he thought he looked horrible and disheveled to the point of shocking the boy, then he remembers who he was dealing with, why would Damian care about he looked? He followed Damian's eyes which landed on the girl he carried and he remembers. 'Oh yeah, I nearly forgot. That boy fancies this girl.'

Damian releases his fist, he wasn't even aware he was clenching it so hard. Behind him Donna rushes forward towards Diana. They hug and nod at each other, having an unspoken understanding.

"Why is she in that state?" Damian's voice was calm but terribly cold. "You said there were no casualties father."

"Trust me, it could've been worse." Batman replies. "Be thankful Zatanna and Constantine knocked her out before her unstable magic cause any damage to herself and to others."

Damian felt frustrated at how only Raven seemed to be the only one carrying the burden of this whole plan. "Let me carry her."

"Yeah about that..." John hesitates, looking at Zatanna for backup.

"Damian," Zatanna speaks up. "We sense something strange about Raven's magic so for the moment John and I will take care of her at the house."

Damian was speechless. 'I dont have the right to protest.' he thought. He simply stared at Raven's sleeping face and memorizing every detail, scared of never seeing it again. "Make sure you take care of her well." He shuts his eyes and force himself to turn away, looking for any distraction.

"When can we see her again?" Starfire speaks up. Damian felt thankful for her voicing out exactly what he wanted to say. 'When will I see her again?'

"She's still part of the titans. We need to know when we can have her back or when we can see and visit her." Nightwing supports Starfire.

"We're not taking her away forever, she's your team mate and if the house lets you in then sure you can visit." Zatanna explains.

"Since you want to hold her so badly, carry her for a minute while I summon the house of mystery." John said to Damian.

Damian doesn't hesitate to carry her, he held her as if she was the most precious treasure in the world. "Quite heavy isn't she?" John jokes.

"Not really." Damian replies. "Maybe your arms have gotten weak."

John rolls his eyes and proceed to summon the house of mystery. A few seconds later, a huge wooden house appears out of thin air. "Viola! This is the base for the Justice League dark, where Raven will be staying temporarily."

Damian was amazed but he wouldn't admit that. The other heroes gather around the house, wanting to seek refuge where they can rest properly. "All of you can try to enter, if you're accepted by the house then you can relax but if you're rejected...well you better use that flying skill of yours."

John steps in the house first, followed by Zatanna. A couple of heroes entered too but many of them were sent flying out a few seconds later. Damian was relieved to have his feet remaining on the floor, the house accepted him and Raven.

"Where's the bedroom?" Damian asks.

"Aren't you a little young to be doing such things?" Green Lantern teases, much to everyone's surprise he wasn't kicked out of the house.

"Not cool dude." Flash comes to defend Damian. "That joke is so not appropriate right now."

Damian ignores them and proceeds to go upstairs. Somehow it felt like the house was guiding his feet to go to the right direction. Soon enough he found himself in front of a dark door labelled 'Bedroom'.

He opens it, and to his surprise the room was furnished nicely. He carries Raven to the bed and placed her down carefully. He sits on the bed, watching her sleeping figure. 'It doesn't seem like she's having any nightmare.' he thought. 'Trigon really is no longer trapped within her crystal.'

Seeing her sleep so peacefully made him feel drowsy too. The tiredness from the fight earlier seemed to finally settle in his body. He rubs his eyes and slaps himself, trying to fight off the fatigue. Too bad he couldn't fight it off any longer, eventually his eyes close and his body fall on the bed right next to Raven's.

'Only for a few minutes.' This was his last thought before he succumbed into deep slumber.

thoughts on steven universe future

td;lr overall opinion: steven universe future is better than most of the original steven universe, especially seasons 3-5, but there are still some real iffy plotlines in future

i hate that the diamonds were redeemed but at the same time, the happy clouds blue and yellow putting gems back together scenes were so pure

it simultaneously warms my heart and infuriates me

but we finally got a blue diamond song, god i love her voice

EDIT: also steven basically tortured white diamond and nearly killed her and it was pretty disturbing bc steven is 1. in a really bad mental state, like way darker than i thought they’d show him go, since this is technically a kids show and 2. was also kind of trying to hurt himself, which both hit me really hard bc i had similar periods of blazing anger, wanting to self harm and harm others that i felt had wronged me when i was a teenager, but its also what white deserves

ncsndlljklkcndkls i want to enjoy this show so bad but,,, steven having ptsd makes him a violent douche??? diamonds killed who knows how many gems in their reign and never really felt bad about it in original su but now they’re supportive life coaches??? no thank you

on more positive notes, i loved how priyanka described mental health and how she treated steven throughout the entire check up, she was so nonconfrontational and whenever he felt stressed she deescalated the situation,,, it was so good

the animation is the best its been since season 2. the poses are clean, very well drawn, and on model. there are more action scenes than like 90% of steven universe and they’re animated way better, like theres actual fighting and motion asjksacbcbj no one is stiffly posed, no one has strange proportions, no one is drastically changing sizes in between shots (well besides steven in growing pains onward but when he does change size its supposed to be like that lol)

i liked seeing the real roses but didnt love it? i wish we saw more of the roses designs up close, and i wish they fit a little more with the other quartzes? it might be just because its era 3, but the roses were all way more unique than jaspers and amethysts generally seem to be. i like that they were more unique designs and had different personalities, but surely the diamonds wouldnt have tolerated that back in era 1 or even era 2, had the rose quartzes not been bubbled? also i get that they’re reminiscent of pink bc she created them, but hippie and superfan were so naive, more so than other quartzes. if each quartz group was slightly different, it would make a little more sense tbh like if quartzes were the entire gem army, but each group was slightly different. i always liked the idea that rose quartzes were either the defense or the healers of the gem army.

little homeschool and guidance were fun and genuinely enjoyable, considering not a whole ton happens in them. i wish townie episodes had been more like them. like you could replace the gems with random humans, but it would still be a fun episode? idk, maybe involving the humans in gem stuff wouldve made better townie episodes, like lars and the cool kids. it wouldve probably helped steven feel more “human” too, if the human and gem worlds collided a bit more in the series.

bluebird was... an ok episode, but im not sure how well it will fit into what i feel like the end will be, where every episode of future featured someone steven helped or affected in some way, and they all come together to help steven when he corrupts. or rather, i guess if bluebird did say something, it would feel more hollow bc steven didnt help them lol the gems and universes were just friendly to them, and thats it. it wasnt as bad as a very special episode (my least favorite episode of future), but it felt like a townie episode with no townies LOL at least we got a new fusion i guess

a very special episode was just,,, infuriating. there was that weird football scene where they just like,,, talk about screen resolution for a minute then play the full commercial for little homeworld we just saw last episode???? i did genuinely enjoy the rainbow scenes, but it just built up to not nothing. oh no, it was something alright. the whole episode was just future vision and then theres like a minute long psa??? it felt like that wacky randomness that would have happened in like, ok ko, teen titans go, or clarence jaskjcbkcjbskb

mr universe is tied with dear old dad episode as my least favorite greg episode. i get how both of them feel. greg wanted to tell steven about how he escaped from his miserable childhood and remade who he was, no longer a demayo but a universe. the problem imo was that greg became way too absorbed in the past. it reminds me a bit of s1 pearl, how she’d proudly recount gem battles and basked in the glory of fighting for their freedom, but she struggled when she had to recount the more unsavory parts of war. and that really affected amethyst, since she didnt fight in the glorified war pearl told her and steven about. amethyst was the byproduct of one of the bad parts of the war, and that became part of her identity, until on the run, where pearl finally realized that she needed to tell amethyst that she wasnt bad. amethyst’s creation may have fractionally hurt the earth, but that wasnt her fault. it wasnt her fault that she emerged too late to fight either. and it wasnt her fault that she existed. sounds familiar to to stevens rant in the van.

steven didnt ask to be made. he didnt ask to be the half gem half human son of a diamond. but he grew up being told about how great his mom was, and that while no one would ever say it, she was gone because of him. to create steven, rose had to die. it was roses decision, but as the product of that decision, steven feels responsible. not only that, but being told constantly about his amazing mother, steven felt like he had to live up to her, had to be like her, had to replace her in the gems and greg’s lives. throughout the series, steven is constantly either trying to be like his mother, until he realizes its ok to be himself. but then the question is posed; is steven even himself? or is he still part of rose? and once he finds out that he’s steven, and has always been steven, he’s still reeling from the realization that his mother was pink diamond. and that really shows in future, where steven is becoming like pink. at first he doesnt even know, because besides the jungle moon dream, him and the audience never knew about this side of pink. this angry, short tempered, diamond who lashes out mostly physically. and unlike before, no one’s telling steven about pink (besides pink pearl) hes finding out firsthand, and this pink mode is basically being forced on him by his gem. steven has little to no control over this form. hes not trying to live up to his mother, or wondering if he is her, like before. now, he’s losing control to whatever programming is in his gem.

but back to mr universe. in the van, greg is going on and on about how lucky steven is, and how free steven is, but how can either of them compare their lives to each other? the similarities just arent there. steven is right, greg and pink were “raised” in very similar “households”. both had their wishes and desires suppressed by controlling, abusive parents. we know pink was abused mentally, verbally and physically (being physically dragged away from the screen by yellow in jungle moon, stevonnie being grabbed and thrown into the time out cell by yellow, when she still thought steven was pink), but greg at the very least was mentally assaulted. but they diverge from here. as greg said, he thought disco was back. rose started a war. you cant compare them any further.

but at the same time, steven was raised completely differently. he was raised in a home with love and freedom, but he was also not given the opportunity to be a normal kid. theres a difference being forcing your kid to do something and not giving them the chance to try something. steven was never given the option to go to school (well in the comics he was but i guess thats not canon now since it seems like steven wishes he went to school?) he was never given the option to live in a house, or go to the mall with friends. the only other kids he knew were the boardwalk kids, but even then, he doesnt seem very close with them. for such an outgoing, friendly kid, steven wasnt given many opportunities to make friends. steven’s upbringing was very relaxed, yes, but it was too relaxed. he needed more structure, and more importantly, more humanity. i always thought it was weird, how little steven seems to have interacted with humans before connie, considering that his mother so desperately wanted steven to experience being human. yes the show is about gems, (and yes, i dont like most townie episodes), but steven was never shown doing a lot of “human” kid things inbetween episodes. the episode never started with him coming home from a friends house, he hardly ever spent time with friends other than connie in little scenes. like he was never called for a mission while playing cards with peedee, or coming home after an after school activity. any scenes like that were either just steven by himself, or with greg, and occasionally connie. but connie is a new addition to his life. how many years has he been doing fun stuff with only his dad for company, or by himself? yknow, “non traditional” childhoods and living situations are becoming more and more common in media, rather than the “two parents in a suburb house” thing, but steven’s life is beyond any unusual childhood any other kid would have. i mean he’s never even been to the doctor! which is probably for several reasons, like the fact that he apparently doesnt have a ssn, he can heal himself, has a damn gemstone in his stomach, and is half alien. but still, thats not something he has in common with other kids. no matter how much love and freedom he was given, steven was raised as an outcast.

i agree with the notion that both greg and steven were both right and wrong in mr universe. i guess they both have that in common with rose lol

greg should have read the room better, realized that his pep talk wasnt the support and apology steven needed to hear. but steven shouldnt have acted out in the way he did. i get that’s the “theme” of steven’s spiral, maybe for the younger audience to better understand how steven is acting? but crashing his dad’s van that gregs been living in for like 20 years? fucking SHATTERING jasper? that’s going way too far to prove a point. it would have been better to maybe mirror story for steven, where marty and greg are arguing, marty is watching the road and they narrowly avoid hitting a car. but crashing the car could have been pretty serious, especially for greg. now jasper, that episode shouldnt have been approved. steven should not have shattered jasper. he fucking killed her. rose/pink didnt even shatter anyone. and if it wasnt for steven getting another superpower out of nowhere, jasper would have stayed that way. he should have just cracked her gem, poofing her in the process. the rest of the episode wouldve played out exactly the same.

anyways ive been writing this for like 2 hours but i feel better letting it all out. if you enjoy future keep enjoying it! it’s definitely more like a B+ compared to season 3-5′s general C-/D+. but please take into consideration future has some themes that people personally relate to, like mental health, and that you shouldnt shit on someone elses opinions that are based on their own personal experiences. especially if you dont have mental health issues, dont keep pushing your opinion and telling people that personally relate to future’s themes that they’re wrong? thats fucked up man

“And robin, you will take this lovely young lady to her junior prom” moth dude says and shows this annoying blond chick calling him Roby-poo and I stifle a laugh

“And Luominen you will take this young man” he shows us this guy who looks super uncomfortable but he’s actually kinda cute if only he wasnt with the bad guys

“Moth sir, she really doesn’t have to,” he says and I smile

“YES SHE DOES, IT THAT OR THE CITY BURNS” he booms

“One moment please” as we drag Starfire away

“ We can go keep him on end while Star, Cy, BB, and Ray find out what the connection is and save everything,” I say

“And we can keep an eye on each other” robin adds and I smile until star gives in

“Yeah ok well do it,” Robin says

“Ask her!” moth guy says and robin and the video guy start at the same time stop and video guy gets all embarrassed

“Uhh also you should probably know my names Jupitar,” the tv guy says as robin asks kitten is apparently her name

“ see you tonight,” I say and they leave and I pull up the communication device

“Are you guys coming or what?” Cy asks

“We cant star will help you find the connection between these two kid and moth guy ok,” I say and Cy looks confused

“Why aren’t yall coming to help,” Ray asks

“Because Ray we have dates” I smile and robin looks pained

“With each other because, I’ve seen it coming but now isn’t a good time,” BB says and my eyes widen, I’ve always liked Robin, he intelligent, funny, and altogether just hot but he’s never shown any interest in me so I assumed friends was as far as we could go

“BB no bad guys the kids we have to take to prom, and I have to get a dress” I laugh and close the device

“Star go we have the stuff to do” I smile and she flys away I go to change and robin grabs my arm to stop me

“Are you actually happy about this” he accuses

“Look, Rob, I never got to go to my prom, I turned into Luominen and dont get to live my life as s- as me anymore so yeah I’m excited, but he’s not the date I want” I stop after almost revealing myself, I pull my arm and walk away

“I would go get ready if I were you,” I say and finally get to my room, and raid my closet for something ohhhhh this one, I change into the sleeveless red dress I found that accents my curves without looking trashy and it has a slit in the bottom stopping mid-thigh, I do my makeup even though I still have my mask on and curl my hair and put on the heels, I walk to the living room area and think about how I should get there if I should drive or ask robin to take me on the bike I know he will use to get there, no ill just drive, I head to my car when I literally bump into Robin,

“Wow you clean up nice” I smile at him but he doesn’t respond just staring at me I see his eyes go up and down

“Earth to Robin” I wave my hand in front of his face and he shakes his head

“You look wow, uh we should go” he stutters and I smile

“Ohh, I was just leaving I was going to drive but apparently you had other plans” I smile and I can tell he rolled his eyes

“Let’s go” he grabs my hand and leads me to the bike we get on and once we get to the prom a pink limo pulls up

“Ohhhh Roby poo I’m so glad you came as my date to the prom,” the kitten girl says the way to loud wrapping herself around him and then I see Jupiter come around the other side and smile at me

“Hey, wow you look beautiful,” he says and I blush and look down

“Thanks, you dont look to bad yourself” I smile at him

“I'm really sorry about all of this, I never wanted this to happen, I had just mentioned to my sister that I had a minor crush on you and then this happened, I never wanted it to go this way” he smiles and we walk in as robin looks miserable, we get in and I smile,

“Wanna dance, or just look awkward all night,” I ask and he smiles as we go dance

“Why are you being so nice to me,” he asks and I smile

“Well one because your sister is insane, and two because you dont seem to want all of this” I smile as I see a robin and whats her name dance and a small part of me wishes it was me he was with instead until

“Get away from my girl” and the spider dude drops in

“Fang you do care” she squeaks and they kiss

“So we good to go now?” robin asks and she looks at us

“Never, give my brother the night to remember, kiss him or the whole city goes” and I panic as she has the button out, I look at Jupiter and he already has his eyes closed so I suck it up and lean in and close my eyes,

“No” I hear and then I’m kissing him, its actually a really good kiss until I hear a squeak

“That’s the wrong guy you whore” and my eyes snap open to see a robin and we pull away but she clicks the button

“We will talk about that later” I snap and he blushes and we all fight until everyone’s in handcuffs even Jupiter

“What?” he asks and I look at him

“I know you didn't want this but you still went along with it so jail time for you as well,” I say and he looks down but goes willingly

“And this year’s prom queen and king are robin and Luominen” and he looks at me

“I think I have one more dance in me” he smiles and takes my hand

“So what was that,” I ask

“What was what” he pretends to not remember

“Oh I dont know how bout when I went to kiss him you yelled no and jumped in to kiss me instead,” I say

“I uh, was trying to save you and we happened to kiss?” he says as a question

“Uh, huh, so if I went to that prison truck, and kissed him you’d just let me because it was my choice right,” I ask and he nod

“Ok I’m gonna go give him that kiss” I let go of our dance to walk over to him but robins grip on my waist doesn’t allow me to

“Dont, please, why are you so caught up in this anyway,” he asks

“Look robin, I became Luominen at 15, I’m 18 now and I should be having my own prom but because of my powers I can’t even go to school anymore, so I wanted to be normal for tonight, have the dance, and kiss on the dance floor, or at the end of the dance, I wanted my normal night” I look at him and he smiles down at me

“Well I can work that out, I mean you do have a ruggedly handsome superhero here, its a dance floor, I could kiss you,” he says almost shyly

“Robin I can’t do that, because as awkward as it may make this, I’ve always had some feelings for you and if you kissed me again, id fall more for you than I already am, and I know you dont feel that way for me so no,” I say and he lets go of my waist

“Yeah that’s what I thought” and I turned around to walk-off I just decided to walk back to titans tower and was about halfway there when the rain starts pouring down probably my fault as I can create based on my emotions.

“Get on the bike” robin yells but I dont stop walking

“Please Lu just get on the bike” he begs and I look at him

“No, ill walk thanks” I respond

“Please your gonna get sick,” he pulls over and gets off the bike running to me and I dont stop, except when I’m picked up and thrown over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes

“Let me go you asshat” I snap but he just sets me on the bike and gets on and starts driving once we get to the tower, I get off and start to walk inside

“Why are you so mad at me lu, I never even answered you,” he says

“You didn't have to, the way you looked at me the way you instantly let me go, all signs of disgust, dont worry tho I get it, it’s fine but you dont get to act like its normal either anymore, because it’s not and we both know that, and I’m mad because I let myself get there, I let my self fall for you and open up to you knowing you were into Star, knowing I wouldn’t be enough,” I say with tears in my eyes

“I wasnt disgusted honestly you’re beautiful and amazing and anything I could ever want, I was surprised, because here I was falling completely in love with a girl I dont even know her real name, and she took me off guard, also I’m not into Starfire shes just my, friend,” he said and I looked up at him and he kissed me, not the panicked one like before but, slow and hot like he was proving I was the one he wanted when we pulled away

“Sandy” I breathed out

“What” he questions

“My real name,” I say and he smiles, kissing me again but this time he picks me up bridal style bringing me into the tower we are both laughing until we see everyone standing there with pizza and Robin freezes

“Hi guys” I laugh

“Looks like they had their own celebration in mind” Raven laughs and everyone else does but Starfire

“What I do not understand,” she says

“They where probably gonna do the dirty deed, horizontal tango” BB laugh and star looks pissed

“ they would only do that if they were together and they are not together” she snaps

“Uhh yeah actually we are gonna go figure that out, in, my room” Robin rushes out the speeds walks up to his final setting me down

“You never even put me down” I laugh and he blushed

“I panicked ok” he defends

“Oh I bet, at least you picked me up bridal style not another way” I laugh and he smirks

“That was not an invitation” I smile and he fakes a pout

“Oh come onnnnnnnn” he whines and I kiss him

“We do actually need to talk about what we are,” I say and he looked down at me

“What is there to talk about,” he asks

“Are we together, are we not together, are we just messing around that stuff” I add and he smiles pulling me closer as I hadn’t realized I was pacing

“Of course we are together, mine now, and we will definitely be messing around” he winks and I release a sigh of relief and kiss him

“Pardon me the door was open, am I interrupting,” Starfire asks

“No at all, what’s up,” Robin says awkwardly and I mumbled yes under my breath

“Well I felt that before you made her your choice you should know that I also have the romantic feelings for you” she adds and I flop on the bed well it was a nice few minutes while it lasted

“Star that’s sweet, and I’m really sorry but I’m actually really into sa- Luominen,” he says and I punch his shoulder after almost revealing me

“Ouch I didn't” and I smile

“Oh I see, however, am I not prettier than she is, she is not as good as me, so why choose her,” Star asks and I look down, she’s right, how could I ever compare

“What did you say” he snaps and her eyes go wide and I instantly go to stop him

“Robin no it’s fine honestly” I grab his arm but he shakes me off

“Get out,” he says almost to calm

“GET OUT” he yells at her when she doesn’t leave, she then jumps out and he slams the door on her

“Robin what was that, it’s not like shes super wrong,” I ask he doesn’t answer just grabs me and pulls me into a very hard kiss when he finally pulls away I’m hurrying for a breath

“She’s right, you aren’t as good as her, your better, and also its Dick,” he says and my eyes widen

“Really that’s the card your puling now, you want to have sex?” I snap as I pull away from him and he busts out laughing

“Why are you laughing,” I ask confused

“Babygirl, Dick is my name, short for Richard,” he says with a huge smile on his face and I turn red

“I-i'm so, I’m so, I’m so sorry,” I say and he just laughs pulling me into him wrapping his arms around me

“Sandy it’s fine, that was by far the cutest misread of my name ever tho” he smiles and I hide in his chest

“I'm so sorry Dick,” I say again as he laughs

“I'm serious dont be,” he says and I smile up at him again and kiss him when there’s a knock at his door I move away from his death grip on my hips and open it and see BB and raven

“So wanna explain why are Stars crying?” BB asks and I look at him and roll my eyes

“Because she was being rude, she literally came in and asked me to choose her and when I did she said she was better than Lu, rudely so I told her to get out and when she didn't I yelled get out” Dick comes up behind me saying that and I nod

“Fair enough,” Raven says going to walk away but BB grabs her arm

“ you need to apologize to her” BB demands

“Ok ill go talk to her,” I say and then I’m wrapped in chains so I look at the raven

“Me or you?” I ask and she laughs

“You” I nod

“I guess I won’t be going to apologize, and you can’t get mad because I dont have complete control over this,” I say as BB looked pissed

“You done here?” Dick asks and BB looks surprised as the door closed in his face a few minutes later I’m able to get out of the chains, my powers allow me to create things according to my emotions, so the rain was when I was sad but the rain didn't go away when I was happy again, it was apart of the weather then, the chains were now physical things because I felt trapped

“ you didn't get your dream prom but would you like that final dance and kiss?” Dick asks and I smile at him and nod and he spins me around as we dance in our soaked clothes and dance around his room until we are both tired and in the last moment he kisses me

“ I think I’m completely in love with you,” he says and I smile looking up at him

“I think I’m completely in love with you as well!” and kiss him again that night!

1. What’s your favorite candle scent?

I AM SO GLAD YOU ASKED. ive been Purchasing various smelly candles for my gay divination activities, and i have a few nominees. i first thought of the candle i have now, a pink one with a very sweet vanilla smell, i love very sweet smells because it makes me think of candy which i tend to try to fill my inner void with. however im going to go with the first candle i bought, a dark orange one with a citrus smell. citrus scents are my next favourite and specifically this one reminded me of curiously smelling candles at my piano teachers apartment when i was very young.

2. What female celebrity do you wish was your sister?

idk. ive been listening to her lion king stuff lately. dont judge me i needed to hear remixes of lion king music i was lost in that sauce in high school. and i just think shes neat. i dont think she would aggressively make me feel bad about everything, UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE

3. What male celebrity do you wish was your brother?

Look……. i really don’t know???? what is the criteria?? do they need to be like my siblings? dare i criticize my arguably criticizable siblings by picking out my ideal siblings? if i pick an ideal sibling, what does that say about what im lacking in my life? do i pick celebrities i hate so theoretically my family shames them into becoming silent and self-defeating

50. i think im going to have to figure myself out for a long time, and achieve some personal goals first. thats my excessively confident prediction and PERHAPS educated guess

5. Do you know a hoarder?

nnnnnoooooooo????? not a real, cant function because of hoarding hoarder. i can see in a few family members, including myself, liking to hang onto things that maybe become sentimental/unnecessary clutter but that sounds like something many non-hoarders experience?

Idk maybe 7? Or 11? i think my parents taught me at a children age and then i started biking for fun like, later, like pre middle school?

1. i dont really remember swimming in an ocean but i may have faded childhood memories of salty water and seaweed

9. How many countries have you been to?

2… i went to idaho for a band trip… my dad really doesnt like travelling

NO. ACTUALLY YES. but its funny because the specific brand of christianity we are supposed to be is super pacifist so ive heard. but then i remembered one dude apparently who joined the us military?????? it seemed like it was… an unusual choice. i dont really know anything else about this guy, not even his name

11. What would you name your daughter if you had one?

🙏 *inhale* buddy. oooooohhffffff i want to say something gender neutral honestly. i dont want to rock the boat being unconventional or something but im just thinking of all those years trying to live up to a feminine name

same i guess… why have i never thought about this????? was i preoccupied naming myself.

13. What’s the worst grade you got on a test?

hmmmmm hmmmmm trying to unlock the vault. i think i remember a 1 or a 0 on a math quiz. i think i got 30% or something very very bad (i dont even want to know) on my last english exam, but to be fair, i was having such a bad mental breakdown my professor did an intervention

14. What was your favorite TV show when you were a child?

like a very very small child? i was obsessed with the save-ums (?!?!?) for some reason. i would sing the anthem… no. theme song? i dont know. i guess it was catchy and there were lots of fun characters. OHHHH I SEE WHATS WRONG

15. What did you dress up as on Halloween when you were eight?

My Halloween experience:

i dont even remember i probably had some kind of fairy wings? i think i remember fairy wings. we went to one (1) house. later on, since we werent allowed to go trick-or-treating, we were each allotted a certain amount of candy, and if we ate more than a designated amount per day, we were in trouble and wouldnt be allowed anymore. i do remember getting in trouble for this. i think i stole someones candy. sibling against sibling. finally we were allowed to go trick or treating, i went with my younger brothers and by then, was a teenager and felt too tall and really uncomfortable

LMAO I JUST REMEMBERED THAT LAST TIME WE WENT TRICK-OR-TREATING NOT IN A RURAL AREA, my dad drove us around in a van and watched us like a hawk i believe. it was very tense and methodical.

16. Have you read any of the Harry Potter, Hunger Games or Twilight series?

i read the harry potter series (I WROTE SIBLIGS LOL) more times than i could count while growing up. i read the first hunger games book and didnt fancy it for whatever reason, and i had an obnoxious twilight-hating phase.

17. Would you rather have an American accent or a British accent?

sometimes, though, im really genuinely worried about what accent i do have. im worried i read so much harry potter growing up, it rubbed off on me. when i was a server, people would ask about an unusual accent i apparently had, and once, when i was talking to a super british guy who called me luv at walmart, he was like STOP. WAIT. YOU HAVE A BRITISH ACCENT. and i was like WHAT UHHH BYEBYE AND HE WAS LIKE NO. I HEARD YOU. STOP and i was like that michael jackson meme where he covers his face running away and everyone else in the line was staring

Whats Nightwing and Deathstroke's dynamic? Why does it make you wince? Im not very familiar with it.

Nightwing and Slade actually have a really interesting and compelling dynamic in a lot of ways, that can be really good when written well and really terrible when not. My biggest issue is it is that its not sexual in the comics (Slade is a good thirty years older than him) or in other adaptations that have a version of it, like the Teen Titans cartoon. But fandom being fandom, Dick/Slade is a bigger ship than like, half his actual canon ships, so any new take on it always comes with a big sigh at all the new Dick/Slade shipping that’s gonna crop up or have a resurgence cuz of it. And I’m annoyed enough with YJ right now that I’m not giving them the benefit of the doubt that they’ll do anything new or interesting with it that’s worth having to wade through pages of new Dick/Slade noncon in the months afterwards. Its a ship that generates a lot of non-con fic in particular, or at least my old favorite, ‘dubcon’, with the dubious part of the consent referring to the fact that it usually involves mind control or brainwashing, both tropes that show up a lot in their interactions anyway. (Not that there’s anything dubious about this NOT allowing for consensual anything, just that people love to call it dubcon because….fuck if I know).

But anyway….in the comics, Deathstroke is a mercenary who’s one of the Titans’ earliest and most iconic enemies. Though at various times and depending on who’s writing him, he’s sometimes an antihero and even a semi-trusted ally of the Titans (usually with Dick specifically), other times a villain but with his own personal code of honor that means he won’t help the Titans or other heroes but he’ll refuse to take jobs that would pit him against them, and other times he’s full on remorseless and sadistic villain who hates them all and wants them all dead.

He also had three kids, his son Grant (the first Ravager), his younger son Joseph (Jericho) and his youngest, their half-sister Rose (the second Ravager). Basically, the first time he interacted with the Titans was when the supervillain group HIVE put out a contract to have the Titans all killed. Slade turned them down cuz of his personal honor code and how young the Titans were, but his son Grant accepted the contract in exchange for HIVE giving him superpowers to help him fulfill it. The process didn’t work right though, and when fighting the Titans, Grant’s powers overloaded and killed him.

Slade blamed the Titans for this, and vowed to finish the contract and kill them as some twisted way of honoring Grant. He doesn’t do Logic so good, well no, its more like he doesn’t really do parenting so good, as in he tends to have fuck all to do with his kids 364 days of the year, but then something bad happens to one of them and suddenly he thinks he’s Dad of the Year and going 0 to Homicidal in six seconds flat is the way to make up for all the times he’s let them down or screwed them over, instead of just…not Doing That.

So Slade recruited a young meta named Tara Markov (yup, that one) and trained her as his apprentice specifically to help him get revenge on the Titans. At his prompting, she joined the Titans as a spy for him, feeding him intel and plotting against them in one of the best known comicbook storylines of all time, The Judas Contract. It was up there with some of the X-Men’s best known stories like the Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past. (In the 80s actually, the Titans comic book was almost as popular as Uncanny X-Men at the time. Like way more than the Justice League. They were DC’s big hitters, popularity wise - specifically the lineup that for the most part was centered around Dick, Donna, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven, with other members like the original Titans and later ones like Pantha and Wildebeest coming and going at various points in the 80s too).

Ultimately, Tara made her move and betrayed the Titans, enabling Slade to kidnap each of them one by one and turn them over to the HIVE….all except for Dick. In the meanwhile, he was approached by Slade’s ex-wife Adeline Kane - who has an equally all over the place dynamic with Slade, like sometimes she’s his worst enemy and other times she’s manipulating events behind the scenes to help him without him knowing, because she still loves him…it basically just depends on who’s writing her, same as with Slade. Also, Kane is Adeline’s maiden name, she’s distantly related to Kate Kane aka Batwoman in some extremely complicated manner I can never remember, but that’s mostly just trivia. I can’t remember a time its ever been relevant to a story, and it has nothing to do with Slade’s interactions with Dick.

ANYWAY. Point being, so Adeline, who blames and hates Slade at this time for their son Grant’s death, along with their other son Joey, seek out Dick and offer their help rescuing the Titans and defeating Slade. Joey is a metahuman as a result of Slade’s altered DNA (he has regenerative powers and is actually immortal, due to experiments the army did on him while he was a soldier). So Joey was born with powers although they didn’t activate until he was a young adult. His codename was Jericho and his power lets him possess peoples’ bodies. He’s also mute, and I’m half expecting him to show up in YJ fairly soon. If not this season then hinted at by the end of it. Also wouldn’t surprise me if they had plans to have him be gay in the YJ universe. He’s a character who was coded as gay practically from his debut. Joey/Dick is actually probably Dick’s oldest and most enduring slash ship, for the record.

So Joey works with Dick to rescue the Titans and defeat Slade, who’s captured and goes on trial for kidnapping the Titans. Joey ends up joining the Titans in the aftermath, and Adeline’s yay good, this was my Sekrit Plan all along, I did all this solely in the hopes that you would end up a superhero and have positive influences and not end up a murdering douchebag of flexible morality like your dad cuz fuck that guy, am I right Titans?

Did Adeline really just do all of that because she wanted her son to have more friends? Like…idk honestly it could go either way. Like….it IS the kind of thing she would do, tbh, so its as likely she was telling the truth as it is she just wanted to screw Slade one last time to avenge Grant and then was like hey if I take credit for my kid ending up a Titan now, I could probably play the “you owe me one” card later if I ever need to. Addy does like handing out “you owe me one” cards, just to be safe. Never know when you might need one.

The thing all this has to do with Dick is like, so it basically ended up being Dick versus Slade in the big finale, while Joey was rescuing the others and helping them face off against Tara. And for whatever reason - with multiple takes on this offered by multiple writers in the decades since - something about Dick just stuck with Slade and he’s had a kinda fascination with him ever since. Like he’s always talking about how much more he could teach Dick than what he already learned from Bruce, trying to convince him he’s got a killer instinct that Bruce just suppressed and its holding him back, blah blah, like saying he’s good, but Slade could make him great, so he surpasses both Bruce and Slade. TBH, he spends WAY more time obsessing about Dick and getting Dick to join him than he bothers paying attention to his own kids.

It really isn’t inherently sexual though, its a weird kinda pseudo father/son, pseudo mentor/mentee type thing. And its not entirely one-sided, because Dick at various times IS…tempted? Kinda? Like whenever Dick’s having some kind of crisis of conscience, or he’s pissed at Bruce or is questioning the effectiveness of superheroes or why they do the things they do or what does it all matter blah blah blah like omg I love you Dick, I really do, but sometimes you are such a drama queen, my god, blast some My Chemical Romance, experiment with drugs and chill out already, its not that deep. (LOL I kid. Well mostly). But point being, every once in awhile something happens that puts Dick in a funk and makes him second guess himself, and he spends like….a month being convinced he should reinvent himself as the anti-Bruce, that’s the solution, and this usually sends him in search of Slade except he’s always like ‘OH FANCY MEETING YOU HERE, THIS IS TOTALLY RANDOM AND NOT ON PURPOSE’.

And Slade likes to take any opportunity to try and convince him like BE A BAD GUY DICK, KILL PEOPLE FOR MONEY, ALL THE COOL KIDS ARE DOING IT. Except inevitably Slade does something that pisses Dick off and Dick snaps out of it and is like NO, IM A HERO AND THIS IS BAD, I REMEMBER NOW AND I’LL NEVER JOIN YOU, YOU’RE NOT MY REAL DAD I HATE YOU! And then they fight again, but with swords, not words, and then they’re like crap, we’re too well matched, this is going nowhere, you’re a worthy opponent, the only one I can truly respect, blah blah and then they call a breather and Slade’s like hey kid, wanna grab a beer and Dick’s like yeah but only if you promise not to kill anyone. And Slade’s like ugh fine.

And then Slade’s all, look kid, its been fun but its time you went home to your real family and your real life, this isn’t you, you’re a hero, I can’t try and turn you into something you’re not, its Wrong. And Dick’s like….umm yeah, I know, I literally JUST said that, how hard did I hit you? And Slade’s like NO SHHH, DONT TRY AND ARGUE, GO, YOU GO NOW, GO ON, LIVE YOUR LIFE, YOU DONT BELONG HERE IN THE DARK WITH ME, YOU’RE ONE OF THE GOOD ONES, GO BACK TO YOUR OWN KIND.

And Dick’s like no seriously dude, I already called my dad to come pick me up, what are you even on right now, are we having the same conversation?

Slade, sobbing paternally: I HAVE TO LET YOU GO, ALL I EVER DO IS HURT MY KIDS, I’M A TERRIBLE FATHER, ITS NO WONDER JOEY HATES ME.

And then Dick awkwardly slips out while Slade’s mid monologue, with his head thrown back yelling up at the sky and shaking his fists like WHY GOD WHY IS THIS THE WORLD WE LIVE IN WHY - because the thing about Slade is he’s actually even MORE of a drama queen than Dick, he just hides it better. Most of the time. But seriously tho.

Anyway yeah, this is like…a pattern with them basically. And Slade’s like, you’ve inspired me, I see in you the man I could’ve become, maybe even that I can still be, and he like doubles down on his personal honor code and becomes a Mercenary With A Heart for a couple years and even helps out the Titans every now and then (basically just whenever Dick’s in trouble and he goes on a killing spree, like NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO MURDER MY KIDS BUT ME - also by this point in time, Joey had died because Slade literally killed him, I forget why, it was a dumb story, but its okay Joey came back, its not like his name is Uncle Ben. But yeah, killing his kids is kinda a thing with Slade too, and he’s very proprietary about it).

And then he falls off the wagon and is like fuck, I forgot how much I like murder, ugh, you should have never tried to make me change, THIS IS WHO I AM, and Dick’s just like….I literally do not know where you’re getting these conversations from, like am I there when you think we’re having them, am I just blacking out…do I need to see a doctor??? And Slade’s like YOU WILL RUE THE DAY YOU EVER MET ME, GRAYSON, FROM NOW ON I AM THE TITANS’ MORTAL ENEMY and runs off all dramatically while Dick’s like…..wut, and all the other Titans are like srsly, dude, what is WITH you too, and Dick’s all I DON’T EVEN KNOW, HE’S JUST LIKE THAT.

In all seriousness though, ultimately my take on their dynamic is that for Slade, Dick’s a combination of seeing himself and Grant in Bruce and Dick’s dynamic, and its like….all about his regret and missed opportunities. Like, he tends to be super judgey of Bruce and critical of how he trains (and raises Dick) and passive aggressively like *I* would never do that and Dick just kinda lifts an eyebrow and is all, you’ve literally killed two of your three kids.

But like, Slade kinda views himself as the anti-Batman and thus Dick is inadvertently cast as Grant, but its like Slade can never decide if he thinks Bruce is actually holding Dick back from his full potential and he wants to push Dick the way he thinks Bruce refuses to, or if like, he blames Bruce for getting Dick involved in this life, the same life that got Grant killed, and wants to protect Dick from Bruce and from the same thing happening to him. So its this weird mix of Slade manipulating Dick sometimes and pushing him way further than even Bruce ever does and saying its for his own good, but also randomly mixed in there are these bouts of extreme protectiveness, and there’s like zero rhyme or reason to which he is on any given day and there’s never any way to predict where Slade will land and so it always fucks with Dick’s head in a big way, he’s like…I’m getting whiplash.

And then on Dick’s end, like, the thing about Dick like I’ve mentioned before is he’s a huge people pleaser? Like he’s a very empathetic caretaker type personality who sinks a huge amount of his identity into being everything for everyone, to the extent that he tends to lose sight of himself in the process, sometimes. And he’s also a perfectionist who was raised with the most demanding father of all demanding fathers ever, and has a lot of abandonment issues and insecurities that Bruce’s mutant power is to trip over and set off in the worst possible ways.

And so I think the reason Dick keeps seeking Slade out every now and then is not because he ACTUALLY wants to ever take Slade up on his offer and genuinely become his apprentice or partner and like, turn his back on how he was raised. I think the point of it for Dick is the fact that each and every time he ends up affirming for himself no, wait, this ISN’T actually what I want, I just needed to be reminded of that, to remember that. That he always pulls himself back before going too far. And at the same time, I do think on some level he likes that Slade is this kinda constant in his life, that at the end of the day Slade is like…so fixated on his potential and his achievements and his worth as a fighter and a hero, because like….Dick Grayson is a person who craves validation but will never ask for it ever.

And he’s one of those people who everyone is just so USED to liking without even thinking about it that it never occurs to them when talking amongst themselves about how great he is, that they forget to say this to his actual face? And so he never hears it? And never asks for it, because gasp, then people might think he’s needy, and that would be bad, so he mostly just goes and sulks in his apartment about how nobody likes him and he’s terribad. Except for Slade. Slade always compliments him on what a good fighter and what a good planner and what a good leader he is, so hmm wonder what he’s doing. He hasn’t committed any crimes in six months and I can’t find any reason to track him down and bring him in? Ugh, that asshole. Okay, ummm, I guess I could tell him I’m thinking of turning evil again, I haven’t done that in a couple years, he’d probably buy it.

And then later Bruce is pacing around the Batcave wrathfully shaking his fist, like “Damn that man and his sick hold over my son, if only I knew how he keeps getting his hooks into you!”

And Dick basically shrugs and plays games on his phone. “He mostly just tells me I’m special, and that’s nice to hear.”

Bruce, still pacing and ranting and fist shaking: “What kind of evil genius is he, how master a manipulator he must be to be able to get inside your head and upend your normal views of right and wrong, to make you entertain these ideas of working with him, learning from him…”

Dick: No its seriously just the saying nice things about me bit. I like that.

Bruce: If only I had a code word or phrase I could use to snap you out of whatever brainwashing he seems to be able to affect you with any time you come near him, perhaps some kind of alien tech….

Dick: You could try “I’m proud of you, son.” I mean if you’re taking suggestions.

Bruce: There’s also the possibility of a magical component to consider, blast, I hate working with magic so of course he WOULD do something like that, ugh I suppose I could ask Zatanna or Jason Blood for help there…

Dick: Cool cool, well this has been a fun and productive chat as always, so you keep doing…all that…and meanwhile I’m gonna go ponder my fixation on father figures who are 100% more committed to obsessing over their failures as a parent than like…actual parenting of their actual kids.

Bruce, ten minutes later: Dick? Where are you? DID SLADE GET TO YOU AGAIN? RIGHT UNDER MY NOSE? CURSE THAT MAN AND HIS UNNATURAL SKILLS, HOW DOES HE DO IT??!?

Anyway, that’s Slade and Dick. There’s also the whole Renegade thing, when Dick asked for Slade’s help in infiltrating the Society of Super Villains in his fake villain identity as Renegade, with you know, lots of Slade trying to corrupt him and also trying to murder any supervillains who looked as his not!son the wrong way.

And then there was the time Slade brought his daughter Rose to Dick to train and said he couldn’t teach her himself because his track record with training his kids and them not ending up dead is like, not good, and he’s superstitious or something? Idk, I forget his logic, it was probably bad though.

And Slade was like, I only trust you to be a competent teacher for my daughter, I want you to teach her everything you know! Except for like, being a hero. None of that nonsense. I FORBID you from trying to make my daughter into a hero or the deal is off. (The deal being that if Dick did this, Slade would not do crime in Dick’s city for a year).

And Dick was like, you got a deal. I will train Rose but there will be NO trying to make her a hero, I swear. /he said while crossing his fingers behind his back because duh.

And Slade was like okay, fine, you got a deal, I will absolutely still do crime and be villainous but only in every place except for Bludhaven specifically. /he said while crossing his fingers behind his back because duh.

And then Dick tried to make Rose a hero and then Slade blew up Bludhaven and that was definitely a thing, so…yeah.

In summation, Slade and Dick are weird but also very interesting but also if we get another rehash of the Renegade/apprentice arc aka the Teen Titans cartoon adaptation of that story aka the single most popular Dick Grayson fic trope of all time, like….I swear I will probably get a brain bleed.

So I'd like to write my opinion towards the so waited last movie of the loved franchise How to Train your Dragon, the post will contain Spoilers so if you didn't watch it yet I recommend not reading this post. I was quite disappointed with the movie but there were also parts I really enjoyed, like I said at the beginning its my opinion and I just want to share the cons and pros of that animated movie (AGAIN IN MY PERSPECTIVE), I just felt like it had more potential than what we got and it left a lot of unsweared things about the plot of the whole dragon universe created by them and felt a little lazy.

CONS:

1- This one made me feel uncomfortable, the whole snoutloud and valka ( Hiccup's mother) kinda romance, he was clearly into her and fighting to get her attention. Common if that's not at least a little bit disturbing? It's like one of your friends start to hit on your mom, its just weird. In the end of the movie we are not sure if they will have something or not, she praises him and he gets all lovey dovey. (FOR THOR NO, PLEASE NO) 2- OKAY THIS ONE IS THE THING THAT I WAS PASEKAEOSAKOEA (really annoyed), for me the last villain, the so called 'Night Fury' killer, the one who everyone was afraid of and said he was some master of the hunt, he was pretty shallow and dumb. His character was not really detailed and his reason to kill all Night Furys was even worse. He tells Hiccup when he killed his first Night Fury his whole tribe cheered because of that, so he just decided he wanted to kill all of them, I mean that's a good reason for a villain, pride or whatever you want to call it but not for the "ultimate villain", it's just really weak and lazy plot. Maybe I should put topics here about him, I watched the whole series and read the books so I might get a little into them now:

a. He doesn't look scary at all! I mean common when we had villains like Drago who had a really cool concept, a tough looking guy who called himself Dragon God or Dargo Bloody Fist, and the guy is 50 old! The guy enslaved dragons, controlled na Alpha dragon and he even rode Toothless. He was a hell of a villain he was really a madman. Now let's talk about Krogan, if you watched the netflix series you know him. The man is fucking awesome and you can actually fear him, he has a hell of a dragon as a 'partner', has a cool scar and a tough face, he's brave and fiercefoul, you don't want to mess with that dude. He ran to every fight with his dragon or without, let's not forget he captured a titan dragon! And his plans were smart too, it was a character that had knowledge and was a really amazing. We shall not forget about Viggo Grimborn, for me one of the best character in the series, you never know if you can trust him or not, he is the Crime Lord his whole appearence on the series was amazing, you saw him grow as a character and he had a lot of good plans and traps agaisnt the raiders. And we shall not forget about Johann, the man used the vikings for years and never revealed his true intentions, he was a master mind really good villain and a big plot twist in the whole universe. I could mention some other small villains here and there but my point is, all of them were really smart and were challanging for the gang to beat, with the so called "Night Fury Killer" was really dumb and he felt not so special, he had no good plan or a good reason for you to like, hate or fear him, he was just there because they needed to show the guy almost wiped all the little toothless off the earth. His character was really dissapointing to me.

b. We wanted to see new dragons, and especially new 'bad dragons' and we got some cool scorpion like dragons, nothing super creative and new, because we had the Triple Stryke already, (which is na awesome dragon). He had to drug those dragons to obbey him, which doesnt explain how they would listen to just him it made no sense at all. They were strong yea, but they were also dumb. Toothless got rid of 5 or 6 of them so easily it felt stupid. Like no challange whatsoever.

c. His poison darts were na idea we seen in the whole franchise a lot, so nothing new, I know it is a movie for kids but his darts could be deadly, like when he shot the dragon who charged after him, it would add a lot more to his character as evil and na asshole if he killed the dragon instead of putting it to sleep, just looked really overused to me. d. Overrall it was a really wasted character, the movie felt way too rushed and we didn't have time to see and develop anything for him. It was just a waste of animation and plot. 3- The light fury, I know a lot of people must be loving her concept, desing and etc etc, after all she is Toothless's mate, but her character at least for me wasn't much likeable. It seemed like she was just put there to end the story and to show the whole thing about growing up, because you will start to get distant of a lot of your friends and things change, because it is real life, that's true and we get it, but she as a character, she has no story, no explanation and we don't even get to know more about her. Again it felt really rushed. Don't get me wrong, I know it would be a lot of things to cover in a movie, but the whole franchise was always about giving and learning about dragons and how they react and their characteristics, so when we get nothing explained or the whole let's study this dragon or Fishleg's thirst for knowledge ( I do know he tried to draw her but he gave up too easily and didn't really seemed that interested) is dissapointing... It was finally someone Toothless could relate to and not be the end of his species, the way they should've dealt with it should've been different. There was more promo than plot. FISHLEGS DIDN’T EVEN CARE TO NAME HER, THATS HOW SPECIAL SHE WAS.

4- Hiccup's friends, his friends weren't really that important and funny, I get this whole movie is supposed to be more grown up, but we grew up with them, it felt like they were more like background characters than secondary. I think there were less dialogs and interactions between all of them, kinda sad.

5- Again the movie felt really rushed I don't think they covered things that were important for the end of the plot and focused on shallow and stupid things.

6- The hidden world, I wanted to learn and to see more of the hidden world, how it worked, the new species there, something, anything. Instead we just got a grumpy toothless going back to the new Berk with Hiccup and a stupid chase. I found something really strange too, with that many dragons, there should've been an Alpha, another dragon other than Toothless, but it's too convenient that we learn that Toothless is also Alpha in the Hidden World, and not just that suddenly all the dragons see him as a superior. AGAIN RUSHED and lazy, IT WAS THE FUCKING HIDDEN WORLD OF THE LEGENDS....

7- If you watched the trailer you watched the movie. I dont know whats going on with some trailers nowadays, but they are showing too much and basically you can tell everything that it's going to happen. I think it's really dumb and disrespectful to the watchers.

8- I know maybe you guys don't care but I really wanted to buy a new Toothless toy to put as a display on my computer, but the toys that were created for this movie, were really terrible looking and bad quality. And the new toothless (The huge one) is just the same as the other one from 2014, disapointing.

9- They said all the dragons disappeared and bla bla, but we seen that there were dragons in the sea, in some islands really far far away and hidden caves all around the world. Maybe the dragons near Berk were gone, near the vikings but not all the dragons in the world.

10- Where in the hell is Heather? Just that lol Where is Heather. Her dragon is sound and safe and didn't go to the hidden world. Neither did her brother's. Again a big flaw in the plot.

PROS 1- Okay I really liked the cinematography of this movie, you can tell how much they invested in it and how much they evolved, the animations, landscapes the dragons, the reflection on Toothless eyes were breathtaking. Amazing.

2- Toothless and Hiccup friendship, it is beautiful till the end, we love their friendship and how they interact with each other, theres no complain. Maybe we hate to see them getting apart because we realize that its what we are going to experience in some point of our lives, I thought I'd always see my friends from school and my friends that I had for more than 19 years, but time and life get in the way, friends will still be friends but you will likely see them less, which somehow make us sad.

3- Astrid and Hiccup marriage, it was touching and cute, I did feel like it was more for fan service but it's alright, it was cute and they deserved each other. 4- Astrid Growth, she had na amazing develop as a character and being always there to help Hiccup was really a big plus for her.

5- 'Mini meatlug' IT WAS ADORABLE ENOUGH SAID.

6- Hiccup realizing he had potential and with or without Toothless he would be a great leader, that is a really special moment in the movie and it's touching too, learning to believe in yourself and being independent.

7- Hiccup mother's appeared a lot during the movie, she had no super special scene but it was nice to see her and her adorable dragon.

8- The new 'elk dragon' I'm sorry I don't know his name in english yet and I just wanted to write this fast cuz I mainly don't really have anyone who's a fan to talk about and I'm excited! Anyways, he is just so cuteee!

9- The riders armors, it was a really cool idea and cool looking I approve that.

10- Toothless Babies, I really thought they would look cuter lol but I guess that's alright and we can't complain we got to see a nightlight fury babies for the first time so cuteee! Most believed there was a lot truth in the 104th conversation. The two options most people found fault with where “Eren is responsible for Sasha’s death” and “If Eren is against them, he should be replaced”.

Eren is on side that has the best chances of his friends ending alive, but that isn't his friends' side.

I'd rephrase two of those options. I believe Armin DOES want to save Eren, but unlike Mikasa, he has a contingency plan -replace Eren if he refuses to cooperate. I think Armin would keep that as the last option, and would only go for it if there literally isn't any other choice. So yes, he *is* trying to save Eren, because that option hasn't been barred yet. I also think Eren *thinks* he's on their side, whether or not everyone else thinks so or not.

Good chapter, I just wish it was longer. So far we've had every chapter consist of a mix between flashback and present time. While I appreciate the flashbacks, I hope we get back to more present time soon so the story can move forward at a quicker pace. I really wanna know the full details of Historia's situation and also when tf is Annie coming back for real it's been 4 stinking years…

It was absolutely great. The juxtaposition of the sweet moments the 104th cadets used to have just one year ago with the atmosphere of hatred and distrut towards Eren that dominates now is heart-breaking. Other than that, the father story is really fishy, especially because it was told from an outsider's perspective. as opposed to say, Historia's. I honestly believe the father is someone else and farmer-kun is just a cover up.

Loving the Paradis flashbacks after a year of being willing to sell my soul for them.

I feel it's a bit ridiculous to say that none of Eren is left in there. My interpretation of his character post-basement thus far hasn't been that far from his post uprising personality. The difference is that he seems more at a loss for alternatives and even more determined to finish things by any means necessary (if that's even possible). But, I do think he's got some secrets to rival zeke's.

I have high expectation on Gabi. Her arc began from a rather generic/metaphorical one yet it's become more and more emotionally relatable and unpredictable. I once thought Falco was the core of Marley arc but now it looks like he might be the one who is more of the story tool among them.

I cannot believe that something that happened like 70+ chapters ago (Sasha saving that little girl) will be pivotal for the ending. Sasha truly was the real MVP.

104th don't know that real meetings are done with chairs, not couches and armchairs!! Kids, that's not how you were thought to do things.

It was an interesting chapter. We had more explanation, but even more questions to ask: why is Historia's pregnancy fishy, who suggested her to do it, why did Eren attack Marley, what happened that made him even more angry, and turned him into a mass murderer, what is going to happen in sasha's house and how is Marley going to counterattack.(and where is floch) It's getting even more interesting, and I really can't wait to see how Isa is going to explain and unfold all this

I liked the Connie dark moment. He finally got some attention from Isayama. I thought that he was totally forgotten. I wish Connie shown his other sides more often. He is way too good, calm and pure.

I have my doubts about Armin's theory that "when Zeke and Eren activate the Coordinate, Eren will be the one in control," because unlike Smiling Titan who was mindless, Zeke is a Titan Shifter.

Really bummed with Historia's story right now. Why not have Zeke bang a ton of women instead?

Eren brought this on himself. Getting devoured is only facing the consequences of his actions. I hope Mikasa is the one that kills him in the end.

Honestly, I feel like we as readers are still quite in the dark on character motivations, like Eren and Zeke's so a lot of these questions I am conflicted on. I mean that in a good way.

We still haven't heard a lot from Zeke and Levi present day, I really hope it's coming soon. And someone needs to go and talk to Eren! (other than Hanji)

I’ve already called it, but I’m calling it again for record keeping purposes: Historia is going to die in childbirth.

I'm very, very glad that some members of the SC and 104th are starting to wake up and realize that Eren isn't in control of himself and therefore dangerous. I'm fascinated to see which path this takes them down.

I think at this point, Eren is simply fighting for what he thinks is correct, period. It's black and white. Eren probably doesn't see them as right and if they aren't, they are obstacles to overcome. If that is the case, Paradis cannot continue to cling to him. Hence why I can understand Armin saying the things he did.

I honestly don't think Gabi and Falco's lunch will be focused on Gabi suddenly feeling sorry for Sasha after a sad story. After all, she has her own grudge (Zofia -who has the same hair than the girl-, Udo, the gatekeepers...). If anything, this dinner party is here to tell us how Ragako was titanized, and how Zeke intends to spread the virus through food. Enjoy your meal!

Teen Titans:

Character I first fell in love with: Robin was my first favorite character in the show. But between Terra and watching the middle of the Trouble in Tokyo movie and later being EXTREMELY disappointed with the bullshit “oh it was just ink so its okay!!” trick they pulled when i finally watched it all (i know i shouldnt have expected anything more from a show but….HE SHOULD STILL DEAL WITH THE RAMIFICATIONS THAT HE HAS THE /ABILITY/ TO KILL, DAMN IT. THAT’S INTERESTING CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND PLAYS INTO HIS CHARACTER ARC EXTREMELY WELL. FUCK THE TROUBLE IN TOKYO MOVIE [I dont hate the trouble in tokyo movie tbh but IM FOREVER ANGRY AT IT] he kinda fell from grace. He’s still one of my favorite characters though because damn, his arc in the first season is amazing enough to make up for my personal feelings about him lacking character development in other seasons. He’s also a really well-constructed version of a trope to the point where he’s actually a proper subversion of the trope, which is ironic because the very thing that makes him so great of an example of the trope done well is sticking to the trope literally (he’s the literal embodiment of a hero focused only on their job, but he’s SO focused on it that it makes him a super fascinating and complex character)

Character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Tbh Terra?? Apparently somewhere I had heard that Terra was evil or had a sneaking suspicion because when I saw her first episode had recorded I was like *squints* but then I watched it and was like “….thats not what I was expecting Terra to be like. Okay.” and then by the moonlight scene I had fallen in love. I cried like twice by the end of the episode. Have you ever been so overwhelmed with love for a character that you just cry because I have. Also Starfire, idk she really grew on me in later seasons. I could never hate her since she’s not a mean-spirited character but she did feel a little bland until she got more character development. I’m still sad she didn’t get more character development, though; I’m still really confused about her backstory and if Teen Titans ever got a reboot (a proper, serialized one) the season better fucking be about Starfire (and the Terra cliffhanger too, but still)

Character everyone loves but I don’t: Idk I like pretty much all the titans fine. My least favorite would probably be Beast Boy but I cant even say “I dont like him” because he’s got so much wonderful development and depth to him for a trope that usually pisses me off. I also probably dont like Raven as much as other people but she’s still one of my favorite characters.

Character I love but everyone else hates: TERRA yall are just spoiled with Zuko, SHE CAME FIRST U FOOLS (I could make an argument about what factors can/do contribute to the reason people hate her, some unspoken rules about fiction and others bigotry-based, but thats a post for another day and also not everyone who dislikes terra is going to dislike her for those reasons so…but tldr there’s an explanation for the common “i think she’s annoying” that stems from an actual unspoken rule about fiction so I actually in a way understand where they’re coming from)

Character I used to love but don’t any longer: I kinda already addressed Robin, but I still like him. Also Slade because in season 1 I was like “holy shit this is a badass villain, I like him a lot” but then in season 2 he made me cry. Fuck you slade

Character I would kiss: Platonically or motherly? Terra 100%

Character I want to slap: SLADE

A pairing I love: STARTERRA IS??? SO GOOD?? its my rarepair and i came up with it and its mine…other people can have it too though thats fine. Pls make my rarepair a not-rarepair. Tbh that’s the only thing I really ship in Teen Titans; anything else is a “aw that’s kinda cute”, the ship below, another rarepair I haven’t thought of yet, or a “wtf why would you ship that��

A pairing I hate: I really, really dont like BBRae. I dont know if hate is the right word because there’s nothing wrong with it, but….ghah. I dont like ships that stick a quiet kid with an “annoying”/super talkative one. Like I said there’s nothing wrong with it, please dont call BBRae abusive lmfao its not (contrary to many pairings of this nature, BB actually takes steps to rectify his mistakes when he goes too far with Raven), but I just dont like ships where one individual or both individuals find the other(s) annoying. Idk I feel bad for Raven whenever the show puts her in situations where she has to be annoyed, I’d dare say she could have some sort of sensory issues besides just being an introvert and being an introvert with sensory issues myself I can tell you that not having down time and/or being around crying children is SUPER PAINFUL. I just feel like both of them would be happier as friends and with partners that fit their personalities and temperaments more.

My Hero Academia:

Character I first fell in love with: Tsuyu, I watched BNHA mostly because of Tsuyu tbh

Character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Kirishima?? I looked at art of him before and he looked angry but he’s such a fucking sweetheart?? you’d think he’d be like conceited and angry and energetic and want to punch everything, like a less violent/cruel version of Bakugo, but he’s like the opposite?? I love him so much

Character everyone loves but I don’t: BAKUGO. I’m sorry but your screaming son pisses me off. I dont like angry characters

Character I love but everyone else hates: Tbh I dont know if anyone hates the characters I like? Kirishima is underrated though. Draw Kirishima in something outside of Bakushima you cowards.

Character I used to love but don’t any longer: Uhh I dunno? Aizawa? I thought he would be more charmingly pessimistic based on tumblr posts than he actually is, and I just found him to be needlessly cruel to his students in the show. Like there’s strict, and then there’s being a jackass to people that you have legal power over.

Character I would kiss: idk, platonically speaking I just want to comfort izuku and/or izuku’s mom tbh

Character I want to slap: Hmm sometimes I want to slap All Might for never saying what Izuku really, really needs to hear but not always. Otherwise Endeavor, hes a jackass. Also Mineta would be here but slapping is not all Mineta deserves. Mineta would enjoy being slapped by me. He doesn’t deserve that. He deserves nothing. Not even oxygen.

A pairing I love: HEY HAVE I MENTIONED HOW MUCH I LOVE DEKUSHIMA LATELY? BECAUSE I REALLY LOVE DEKUSHIMA. Honorable mentions: Tododeku, Tsuchako, The lion guy x the invisible girl (sorry too lazy to look up their names-), Iida x Deku and/or Todoroki x Iida and/or all three together and happy, and tbh Ochako and Deku is really cute too, mutual puppy love is my favorite type of overused romance tropes. It’s so innocent and pure. PS feel free to mix and match todoroki, deku, iida, and kirishima because honestly? they’re all good, esp polyamorous ships.

A pairing I hate: BAKUDEKU this one i can safely say i hate because like ?? What bakugo did is not fucking “playful teasing”?? This isn’t Klance or BBRae (which btw im tentative on Klance for the same reason as BBRare but Klance has improved in-canon a little so I’m more on-board now), the characters don’t share a mutual annoyance with each other that eventually blooms into friendship and mutual respect. From what I can tell, in the manga currently, despite being quite a ways along in the story, Bakugo still doesn’t treat Izuku well even with him mellowing down a bit, and in his current position in the anime? Bakugo is straight-up an abusor of Izuku. Making Izuku fear for his life/safety around him, regularly impeding Izuku’s own progress for no good reason, literally telling Izuku to die…is this really what yall want to romanticize?? You can say “oh but he’s nicer in my version of the ship!! uvu” but you still looked at an extremely toxic bully-victim relationship and said “hey, there’s romantic potential there!” and idk about you but I find that to be pretty bad and pretty much romanticizing abuse.

In the Next Life (Levi x Reader)

Attack on Titan One shot Characters: Levi Ackermann, Erwin Smith, Reader Rating: M for MMMMMMM Levi.... You head was alive with thoughts of the expedition you had just returned from a few weeks ago, watching one of your comrades be snatched out of the air, to be quickly swallowed before you even had a chance to save them. Levi had snatched you out of that titan's grasp before he was able to reach for your comrade instead, Levi had chosen to see them die… instead of you. You felt yourself welling up inside, your heart hurting from all the goodbyes you couldn’t have with the comrades who had been your family for the past year and a half you had been in the Survey Corps. You were lucky enough that your closest friends were still alive, you didn’t understand how some of them were… thinking of Hanji and her need to be up close with the human eating titans. But that didn’t matter, she was alive and that's what was important. Erwin too, although he had lost his arm he was still fighting for the future.

Although… secretly you missed Mike, you missed his presence in the room, it hadn’t been the same since he went missing, and you had to be honest with yourself, when someone is missing, they were not coming back..

Levi had been the closest to you however, although you hardly spoke, you had been there for each other no matter what, maybe it was because he cared secretly, or he saw Petra in you, who knew. But Levi would always been looking out for you, in a way it did annoy you a little, being babied by a thirty odd year old man but at the same time you liked it, you liked the attention from humanity's strongest soldier, in fact you felt a strong connection with him from day one, maybe it was because both of you grew up without really having a family, but you would never ask him.. That would be too rude.

“I dont have the time to spare, if you have nothing interesting to say to me then leave” You looked up from your tea, Levi holding his cup, sitting opposite you. Coming back into focus from your thoughts.

“Oh… I..” You were lost for words, normally the two of you could sit in absolute silence, not even looking at each other for an hour a day, just being in the presence of someone for a little while had been nice. You put your cup down and sighed, knowing full well Levi meant what he said. Tucking your chair in you made your way to the door. You didn’t ever really try and speak up against Levi, you knew better than to even try, his wit was too quick for you, and normally he would just insult you, even though for the most part he didn’t mean it.

“[Y/N]..” He muttered, but it was too late, you had gone. He sighed, putting his tea down, he had panicked, he didn’t really want you to go but of course, you had listened to what he had said.

You marched down the corridor, not really knowing what to think, sighing to yourself wondering if you had upset him somehow, maybe he was looking for a sign to say you were okay, that everything was alright.. But you hadn’t said anything, apart from the usual small talk the two of you shared.

Walking out into the grounds, you felt a sense of loss, had you done something wrong to upset Levi that much? Was your company so unbearable for him now? You wanted to turn around and go back, but you were embarrassed, what had you done? What were you to do? Your heart ached slightly, the feeling of being alone was your biggest fear, not even death could overcome this natural fear of being completely alone in this world.

Walking down the path, you spotted Erwin, he was sitting on the steps towards the barracks, looking at the ground, focused on his thoughts, you tried your hardest to not make a sound as you approached him, but he was too quick, he looked up and smiled slightly.

“Ah, [Y/N] it’s you” he stood up, his tall stature towering over you. “How are you?” “I’m doing… okay” You smiled back at him, lying slightly, you were completely confused by what had just happened in Levi's office. Looking at you, he nodded slightly “how are you commander?” “I was just thinking…” he looked away slightly, sighing a little “it… it doesn’t matter really”

You were not going to ask him further, although you were friends, it wasn’t your position to ask any questions, especially not to the commander, he would have relied on Mike for that, but as Mike was no longer with us…. Erwin found himself more alone than he had ever been. “Well… if you need me, you know where I am” “[Y/N] I know you feel awful about yesterday, but you know, not being able to say goodbye is part of the job, maybe one day, we will just go, we won’t be able to see those people who are important to us, not even for one second as our breath is taken from us” “It’s just… they were so young..” “They all are” Erwin placed his hand on your shoulder, looking concerned. “You are” he looked over at the building I had just come from “Make sure he is okay, it’s been hard for him lately” “I understand…” You sighed. “You must be worried about him” “I worry about you all, that is my job”

“I guess..” You nodded “But you need to also look after yourself Commander” You looked up, into his big blue eyes. “Through the good and the bad, we have to keep going”

“Exactly” He turned around to start walking “Levi saved you, because he had to, you live because you have to live. He needs you, although he will never admit to such a thing. Go to him..”

You watched Erwin turn and wander off, and you looked back at the building where you had just come from, you turned, walking towards Levi’s office once again, this time you were not giving up, you couldn’t leave him on his own.

Running up the stairs you reached the door, without knocking you burst through, he was slumped over his desk, twirling his finger around the edge of the china glass, empty, from where you hadn’t been there to refill it.

“You…” he muttered “I came back” You closed the door behind him. You walked towards the teapot, taking it gently in your hands and walking towards Levi, tipping it slightly to refill his cup. “You didn’t finish your tea” You giggled slightly, using that for the reason you came back when really, you wanted to scream and shout. Hit him on the chest for never really explaining himself to you.

He had saved your life, and never even said a word after… like he was seeing your ghost.

He grabbed your wrist as you moved away “Thankyou…” Levi said. Looking up slightly from the desk “[Y/N]..” “Levi...I..” You placed the teapot down next to his cup, looking at him, staring into his piercing grey eyes. “Why did you… why did you come back for me?” “Because I knew that if I didn’t that would've been your last day on this cruel earth” “You never..sav..” “You are different, you should've known that” his voice raising a little, the look of annoyance sweeping across his face “Levi, you…” You looked down at the floor “You came back for me and saved my life.. It wasn’t just an act of kindness... you pro..”

“I am usually within ten feet of you so whatever terrible thing happens to you will…I. Will” He paused for a moment unable to speak “Probably cause the death of others too!” Levi sighed, he felt awful but he had to get it out of his system “I can’t bare to even think about what could've happen!” He placed your hands in his. Looking at you completely.

He stood up and pulled you closer to him

“Because this world would be a dark, cruel world if the only light I saw was taken from me”

“Levi...I,” You closed your eyes, and held onto him so tight you could of crushed him in your arms “I… I love you” You whispered in his ear, a tear falling from your eye. “It’s not fair, imagine if we were living in another life, where titans didn’t exist. Where we could… live” “Together..” he said, his hand stroking your hair “We have to face our reality… we.” You felt his grip on your tighten “Will never be happy together”

Your tears flooded your cheeks, knowing what levi said was true “I can’t bare to have the same fate as Mike and Nanaba…” he sighed “She didn’t even know...he had died” “But they are together again now” You cried, muffled by his shoulder as you sank your head into his neck. “They are happy…”

“They are…” he mumbled “One day we can be too…” He closed his eyes and imagined a life, where the two of you would be free, able to love each other without the risk of one of you not coming home from work one day. That you would have to live out the rest of your days without the other.. Levi couldn’t do it. He thought about everything he would do to you, how he would take you in his arms, kissing you, touching you…

Making love to you.

Levi wanted it all, he always had, he wasn’t ever one for telling anyone his feelings but you… you had been different. He felt comfort in having you there, even in silence he felt like his life was just a little bit better when you were around. His stubbornness would be lifted whenever you looked at him because to him, you were everything, you were the most innocent, pure being on this planet and he would protect you until his final breath in this world. He would of gone to hell and back to save your life. Yes because of him another comrade died, but it meant you lived… and to him, that was all that mattered.

Levi pulled away and looked into your watery bloodshot eyes, you rubbed them quickly, trying to hid the tears, but he took your hand

“It’s okay” he cooed “It’s okay [Y/N]” “But it’s not..” You cried out more clinging to his hand “I… I can’t bare it anymore” You looked at the floor, trying to gain the courage to tell him…

Tell him everything which you had to tell him, how you felt from the moment you met him, how he looked at you and it could've killed you. How every time you saw him your heart skipped a beat because you were just so happy to see his face in front of you, to show that he was still alive and he was still here, acknowledging you at training, to the first moment he spoke to you, how you felt like a cloud had flown you away through the skies. You had loved him so much, but you couldn’t bare the thought of not even trying. How long would this go on, this feeling of want yet never going that extra step, how much longer could the two of you wait in the sidelines watching each other, before you came together as one… how long…

“I can’t sit back and let this… let us die” You cried, Levi looked at you, a mild touch of confusion on his face “I love you, and you clearly love me too even if you don’t tell me, I know it, I can see it in your eyes Levi.. But what would this all be if we didn’t act on it now? What if we can’t find each other in the next life? What if they punish us?! We shouldn’t let this cruel world decide how we feel, how we act.. If I die, if you die, that's life, in any life people die, but we shouldn’t be scared of losing each other because it will happen if we like it or not, so why shouldn’t we...”

Before you could even finish your ramblings, Levis lips crashed onto yours in a hot flush. Levi’s heart pounding in his chest at the thought of even touching you, his lips on yours. His arms wrapped around your small body, pulling you close to him as you closed your eyes, your tears making his cheeks wet.

Your knees were weak, butterflies were going crazy in your body, and there was him, your shining light. Holding you…. So tightly. He pulled away, before he held you close, his head buried in your neck

“Stay with me tonight” He mumbled into your ear “Tomorrow we have to leave.. But I need to..I...I need..” “I’ll be there…” You hummed into his ear.

In the evening, the stars were glowing so brightly, the clear night sky let the skies light up the earth. You paced around the courtyard of the barracks, You had to admit you were worried about going back outside of the walls tomorrow but there was nothing wrong about being nervous. You felt a sense of achievement, you had been in the corps for 4 years now, although you had seen friends and comrades go, you had always had him… he had always been there. You had been the shoulder for Nanaba to cry on, when she felt her heartbreaking for Mike, before she told him how she felt, which formed the most beautiful bond between two people.

Love could be found here, even in this dark cruel world… even in the smallest of places.

Levi thought back to the conversation he had with Erwin earlier that day, talking about how important you were to him.. How even after so many years Levi still felt like his death could happen at anytime. “Don’t live like me” Erwin’s voice echoed in his mind “Don’t choose titans over her Levi” “I… What if I lost her?” “We all lose the people we love Levi, that is just the way life works. But would you rather be alone for the time you have left here, or would you rather have someone there, to fight for.” “She…” “She means the world to you, I know… I haven’t seen you this perplexed since you were joining the Survey Corp all those years ago” “I just… Erwin I feel so weak around her, what if I lose my sense on the battlefield and end up being the reason why our comrades die?” “You feel weak around her because you love her… go to her, tell her… don’t regret not ever doing anything about a feeling, the titans control our lives and we should not let them control our emotions too!”

Levi paced up and down in his room, waiting for you...

You slowly walked towards his barrack building, up the wooden stairs, trying not to make a sound, they creaked under your feet, as you hopped quickly, trying not to wake anyone. Everyone had already gone to bed, it was going to be a rough week, and you all needed rest, even for one night. You knocked gently on the door, before you could even take your hand away from the door, you saw it open, a hand grabbing you, pulling you inside.

Levi stood there, his eyes staring into yours, his hands holding onto yours so gently, like you would break if he was too rough with you. There didn’t need to be words, not tonight. He pulled you close to him and kissed you. His hand reaching around to the back of your neck, his fingers tangled in your hair as he deepened the kiss. You felt his other hand tugging at the buttons of your shirt, slowly getting one button at a time. You returned the favour, trying to unbutton his shirt. While your mouths danced together, tongues fighting. The feeling of passion and sexual tension filling the room, making you hot, your breathing becoming heavier as your shirt fell to the floor. His hand gently stroked your skin like a fine silk, your body tensing under his touch, sending shockwaves through your nerves. You finally got his shirt off, feeling his body with your hands, his body was muscular, his skin was soft, his scars were deep. His hands found their way down to your butt, he grabbed and pawed at your cheeks, wanting to touch your skin, your soft buttocks in his hands. He didn’t let go of you, he was holding you so tightly, like he would never let you go, you would be there, in his arms forever….

He stumbled, dragging you with him towards the bed, kissing you passionately, your hands were trying to reach every part of each other's bodies, exploring unknown places, which only clothes could hide, getting to know each other more and more, through touch. He slowly started to grind on you, pushing your legs apart with his thighs. One of his hands held him up, pressing against his forearm, the other, pulling your bra straps down, trying to release your breasts from their prison. So he could explore you more. You helped him, arching your back, releasing the clasp of your bra, letting it ping outwards, before you could even acknowledge him, it was off, flung across the floor. He pawed at your breasts, moving his head down to suck at your bud, licking and flicking it with his tongue, making you squirm under him, your fingers through his jet black hair. His mouth sucked on one of your buds, making it hard and numb.

He looked up at you with his beautiful grey eyes as he lowered himself down more, kissing your skin, caressing it with his fingers until he reached your trousers, he wasn’t slow to take them off, he pulled them down quickly, leaving you in your pants, which were wet, your core starting to swell. They didn’t stay on for long as Levi, slowly pulled the thin material from you, dropping it onto the floor, along with the rest of your clothes. He looked at you, you felt like he could see right through you, that he could read your thoughts, how you felt about him, the sense of longing in your eyes. Everything about Levi was important to you, finally you could confess that to him…

He positioned his face in front of your core, feeling his warm breath on your skin, legs tingling at the thought of him touching you even slightly. I'm thinking of skipping some seasons of spn, are there any seasons that would be good to skip(I don't want to skip them I just don't have the time to watch them)

S1-5 is the ‘classic’ supernatural, so don’t skip any of them. The first 5 seasons tell a coherent story, and it’s an Epic one. They set the tone of the show, develop your attachment to the characters, makes you fall in love with them and their relationship with one another. It’s the Winchesters origin story, and imo you’d always feel something is missing, something you can’t quite grasp if you hadn’t been there with them from the start.

With that covered, let’s go into the later seasons, I assume you want to catch up with the current season asap? I wouldn’t recommend to skip a whole season because in order to understand the characters’ action (primarily Sam and Dean) you have to know what they’ve been through, and though the later seasons are more self contained, each has its own arc, it is still a coherent journey of the brothers as a whole. And they have quality episodes each season you dont want to miss.
