Meet: @sagapolutele_al , Heaviest - 485lbs, Total: 240lbs lost. I was in a terrible place physically & mentally, drinking tons & eating horribly. Even after a heart attack in 2013, left me with 3 stents, I lost some weight but eventually fell back to old my ways. Ailments included knee/ankle pain, spinal stenosis, sleep apnea, & more – I didn’t get to 485lbs cause life was awesome - I was depressed & desperate for change. . July 2016, I was in the process of getting gastric bypass. I decided to try losing it naturally. CrossFit – it changed/saved my life. The CF community has been an excellent support system. Life has improved tremendously & I feel fantastic! Workouts are hard but what is HARDER is living as a 500lbs man. Life is too precious. Surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed. CrossFit works for me, find what works for you! Starting Tip: Set realistic goals - Start slow, be patient, & remain focused. Practice Good Nutrition & sleep well for recovery. Meet: @_findinghealthy_ I began losing weight as a woman who felt trapped in her body. I couldn’t walk up stairs, play sports, or fit comfortably in airplane seats. My main priority for weight loss was getting my life back! How I lost the weight: I started tracking my food, specifically my macros, and ate a particular amount of carbs, proteins and fats! I started following a workout routine and lifting weights and doing HIIT cardio 4-5 times a week! Once it all began it was easy to stay motivated mainly through taking before and “now” photos. I avoided weighing myself too frequently or restricting myself too much! For me, it was a slow process by choice because I wanted to be mindful and healthy throughout! I hope to use my Instagram account to inspire people around the world to practice mindful healthy routines to improve their mind, body and spirit. I focus on healthy eating, self care, and education! Starting tip: My greatest advice is tracking your macronutrients! It made weight loss so much easier because balance was so attainable! HOME WORKOUT ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ By @dancudes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There are many people who message me without access to a gym and want to crush workouts, but don't know how to workout at home. It can be quite confusing in exactly what to do without any equipment, but honestly as long as you have a floor and gravity than you can have an absolutely amazing workout, get lean and get fit. You don't need anything special, just got to be ready to work hard with your own bodyweight. Most of my at home workouts are circuit-based though you can 💯 make them strength+based, something I'll be posting about in the near future. For circuit-based at home workouts, they'll definitely help up your cardio game, maintain your strength and muscle mass, and cut away at excess fat. I grouped exercises from A to E based on the muscles they work or if they are more cardio such as jumping jacks or knee tucks. The guidelines here are to choose one exercise in each category in whatever order you want, perform 30-60 seconds of each exercise as fast as you can with perfect form and with 15-60 seconds rest between exercises, and to perform anywhere between 2-5 cycles of the circuit. My personal circuit would include pushups, high knees, plank holds, mountain climbers and squat jacks. Of course, the more fit and strong you are, the longer your work periods can be, the shorter your rest periods can be and the more cycles you can do, but always play it conservative.
