Chapter Twenty Five [No.031]: Superbeast
Tumblr media
Pairing: Albert Wesker x GN!Cannibal Reader
Warnings: teeth, blood, eating flesh, murder, zombie dogs, gun, gun shot to the leg, punching, gorish descriptions.
Summary: You take your time picking off the S.T.A.R.S. members one by one.
Read On AO3 [ X ]
Hours earlier…
You ran through the darkness, weaving through the trees of the Arklay forest in quick pursuit of Bravo team member, Edward Dewey, to reach him before the undead hounds had caught his scent. You wanted to be the first one to sink your teeth into a S.T.A.R.S. member, before any of the others could.
You wanted to be the first to spill blood.
Dewey stopped in his tracks and you slowed down too, hiding behind the tree as he began to swipe his flashlight around in search of his pursuer. He was standing in the middle of a clearing, closest to railroad tracks. You could hear him yelling out to the darkness, trying to coerce whoever was following him to come out from hiding. You cursed under your breath, knowing that sneaking up in him wasn’t going to be an option. There was only one other thing you could do.
You moved away from the tree and into the view of the beam from his flashlight, holding your hands up in the air where he could see them. He looked at you in surprise, seeing your face and S.T.A.R.S. uniform covered in blood. You had sloughed off the Umbrella disguise in choice for this to follow them around in, knowing that each one would be unaware of your true intentions.
“It’s me! It’s me!” You shouted
“Rookie?!” He asked, lowering his gun. “What the hell are you doing out here?!”
“I was on an alternate case, at the last crime scene when I heard a loud crash. I came running as fast as I could and found the helicopter and attempted to search for any survivors. I-I got attacked by something, a dog I think, but I was able to run away. I can’t tell you how glad I am to have found you!”
Dewey placed his hand on your shoulder and you could see the relief on his face. A relief felt too soon.
“Well, I’m happy to hear that you're alright. Are you sure it was dogs that attacked you?”
You nodded.
“Positive.”
That’s when you both heard the sound of the undead howling, the trampling of their feet across the forest floor coming closer and closer. Dewey had taken his eyes off of you for a second, in search of them, and you took your chance to attack, disarming and turning the gun back on him.
“What are you -”
“Get on the ground.” You demanded
He looked at you, angry and hesitant. His unabashed defiance enraged you, so you shot him in the left leg, forcing him to cry out as the bullet ripped through his skin and pierced his bone, falling to his knees in pain.
“You know you don’t have to make this harder than it is.” You said
You walked around behind him, grabbing hold of his hair and pulling him to sit up on his knees. He hissed in agony as he felt the gun rest against his back.
“H-Why are you doing this?!”
“I’ve got something I need to prove.” You said, “And S.T.A.R.S. just so happens to be in the way.”
You smiled as you saw the hounds breaking through the trees, chuckling close to his ear as you whispered.
“Looks like they’ve found us.”
Dewey’s eyes went wide with pain, crying out as you took a bite out of the exposed skin on his neck. You bit down hard, teeth ripping through his white shirt and skin as you reared your head back. That’s when you tossed him back to the ground, allowing him the chance to try and cover his weeping wound. You pulled the shirt out of your mouth, eating what was left of him. You licked your fingers of the blood in delight, staring down at him with devilish glee.
“Mmm you taste better than I expected. Too bad I have others to attend to. I’d have so much fun with you.”
You looked back up, seeing the dogs approaching closer.
“I’d get going if I were you.” You taunted, “They’ve caught your scent now and will not stop their pursuit until they’ve sunk their teeth into you.”
He looked up at you, the anger radiating off of him. He wanted to snap at you, take you down, but those damned dogs were too close. He knew if he had any chance of survival, he had to go. Now.
You watched as he took off in the opposite direction, heading straight for the broken down train. The undead hounds passed right by you, chasing him the entire way there. You heard the sound of glass break, a scream from a familiar voice. You chuckled when you realized it belonged to the Bravo team's rookie, Rebecca.
“She’s not going to last long.” You whispered into the night air.
You turned your attention back to the mansion, knowing that the others had made their way for it. You let out a sigh as you began to make your trek back.
Hopefully the other infected were able to keep them busy.
******
You slowly opened the front door of the mansion, hearing the creak of the hinges reverberate throughout the empty main hall. You slowly looked around, trying to see if any of the rest of Bravo team was close at hand. There were no other sounds amidst the hall, no scent of newly spilled blood reaching your nose. You decided to make your way up to the second floor and back into the security room to attempt to locate them. When back inside, you stepped over the leftover remains of the dead guards, placing your hands down on the desk as your eyes met the pale blue screens.
You could see where each member was now.
Richard Aiken had found himself inside the library on the northwest side of the mansion on the second floor. You could see movement coming from the upper dining floor. You had to double check it, to make sure your eyes weren’t deceiving you, but you found the movement was coming from a giant snake and it was making its way straight for the library. You remember seeing the name “Yawn” and “Snake” put together on the release codes in the lab. You just weren’t expecting it to be an actual snake that was larger than a human.
Good for Yawn, bad for Richard.
You looked at the other screens, seeing Kenneth wandering about on the first floor, still making his rounds, while Forest was closest to you, checking out the east balcony. You smiled at the sight of him, knowing he had nowhere to run except for a short drop and a sudden stop to the ground.
He would be your next target.
You stepped over the bodies once more, making your way into the hall, to the second floor of the main hall, and right though the door to the balcony. You walked down the stone terrace, your face shrouded by the shadow of the greenery, hidden away from the light of the moon. You walked down to the other end, hearing footsteps approaching you. You caught a glimpse of the flashlight and the gun peek around the corner and quickly took to disarming Forest, tossing his weapon and flashlight to the stone surface below and away from you. But that didn’t slow him down as he grappled you, tackling you down to the ground. It stunned him when he finally caught sight of you, hearing you laughing, seeing the sinister bloody grin on your face.
“Finally, someone who can fight.”
You quickly brought your head up into his, knocking him back, giving you enough time and room to free your hands from his grip and toss him to the ground, pinning him down.
“Oh come on Forest, I know you can do better than this.”
“Fuck you!”
He took you by surprise this time, spitting in your eyes before he pushed you off of him, scrambling to reach for his gun. But you were infuriated by his little ruse, in hot pursuit of him. You grabbed hold of his ankle and dragged him back to you, teeth bared like a wolf looking down at its prey.
“You really shouldn’t have done that.”
You moved to take a bite out of his neck like you had Dewey, but Forest brought up his arm to block you. It was no use for him though, he let out a pained scream in horror at the sight of you ripping away at the skin on his forearm, blood spurting down onto his face and vest.
And that wasn’t all that you did. No, your animalistic rage had taken over your entire being now.
You punched down into him, hitting the rib cage, breaking through it. You ripped a hole straight through him as you began to move your hand around. You took hold of his lung as you ripped a piece of it out, eating it entirely in front of his dying eyes.
When the rage in your body died down, you finally noticed the life in him vanish. You picked him up, moving him over to the seat by the window. You knelt down beside his bleeding body, listening to the sound of the blood drip onto the stone, looking at him in his lifeless eyes. A strange sensation washed over you as the rational thoughts came flooding in. It was neither guilt nor joy, but rather a realization. It was one thing to kill those in line with Umbrella - their blood deserved to be spilled in your eyes. Their screams of anguish and the taste of the fear in their blood had become inscribed into the very marrow of your bones, becoming a part of the secret diary of your mind. But it was another story when it came to S.T.A.R.S.
As Wesker had said time and time again, they were the perfect subjects for this experiment, having some of the best training that the American Military could provide. But here they were, dropping like flies in your environment, under your control. A pity, truly, and you couldn’t help but feel at least a bit of pain for their circumstance. You knew you couldn't think on it too much, because if you did, it would become like a vengeful ghost, ready to haunt the every waking moment of your rational mind. You held onto the promise that their deaths would not be in vain, that this would all lead to something greater, someway, somehow. Regardless in the end, you were fed, you were filled, and you would continue to make it another day.
You would survive at all cost, and that was really all you could hope for at this point.
You stood up from your place and left Forest behind. His body would lay there, rot away, become the food for the carrion who made their passage through this horrifying place. At least they’d be able to find some food and solace in their visit. Just like you.
You let out a sigh as you pressed your hand against the door.
It was time to go find your next victim.
Time to go find Kenneth.

Time for Bravo team!
Hug headcanons about Richard Aiken, Edward Dewey, Enrico Marini, Forest Speyer, Kenneth Sullivan, and Rebecca Chambers.
(Gender ambiguous).
Warnings: n/a
Masterlists here!
Richard Aiken
Tumblr media
Richard is most definitely a hugger. He relaxes completely when you're in his arms.
He often greets you with hugs and doesn't part ways without giving you one first.
Expect his face to end up buried in the crook of your neck.
He'll gently rock you side to side.
Edward Dewey
Tumblr media
When you're in Edward's hold, you feel like you're being cocooned.
His big strong arms lock securely around your waist.
His tall 6'4" ass will probably curl around you. As in, his upper chest/head ends up leaning over you like a roof.
He enjoys coming up behind you to hug you.
Enrico Marini
Tumblr media
Enrico doesn't hand out too many hugs, but if he gives you one, it's going to be a heartily tight embrace.
There is a slight possibility that you're going to feel like the air is being squeezed out of you.
He tends to grasp your shoulders first. Then, he pulls you closer to him.
It'll probably be a while before he lets you go.
Forest Speyer
Tumblr media
Forest goes into hugs with just... a lot of energy. Almost like you're being tackled! But more enjoyable. An advanced bear hug, if you will.
He holds you nice and tight. It feels as though you're wrapped up in a blanket burrito style.
He likes to do this thing where he leans back far enough to lift you off the ground. Then, he'll swing you side to side a bit.
He might even go so far as to spin you around in a full circle.
Kenneth Sullivan
Tumblr media
If Kenny gives you a hug, you probably either asked him for one, or he asked if he could.
He won't pull away until you do.
His hold is gentle yet firm. It's very easy to relax into.
He might just rub some soothing circles on your back.
Rebecca Chambers
Tumblr media
Becca will hook her arms around the back of your neck or your shoulders when she hugs you.
She likes to rest her cheek on you. On the slope of your shoulder, your chest, etc. Depends on your height.
If you're taller than her, she will probably go and pull you down a little lol.
Her hugs tend to be on the shorter side.

FELLOW S.T.A.R.S LOVERS!!!
I am currently thinking up the rest of the STARS members' possible animals for my little Resident-Crossing thing!!
I have a few in mind, though I am undecisive as always!!
-----
Richard: OK, I'm debating on either Anteater, Squirrel, or Bird for him. Honestly, I REALLY want to make him an Anteater, I think he would be so adorable as one-
Joseph: He gives me SO MUCH monkey vibes, super energetic, little bastard that's super curious and social. Also mf is definitely the prankster of STARS along with Chris, you can't tell me otherwise.
Forest: God, this was tough, but I want to make him something COOL looking, with the Eagle and Lion being the coolest to me. I think the Lion would fit with his LUCIOUS HAIR and just swagger looks. Though a Wolf also seems fitting???? Lion though-
Enrico: Like Barry, he gives me Bear vibes, very beeg man and honestly, he just gives me those vibes. The big papa bears of their groups, yknow
Edward: TBH, I sometimes forget about him, and I feel bad yall- I think maybe a Tiger could fit him well.
Kenneth: My mannnn, I was thinking one of the bigger animals, like the Rhino or Elephant. Maybe a Rhino more though.
Brad: Chicken. I know, I know its the basic go to. BUT, I drew him as one in my doodle dump and now I love it too much. ChickenHeart through and through.

Wesker stares intently at the piece of paper in his hands, reading it over and over again. At first he thought his eyes were deceiving him once he read over the fax, but it seems he has now found his opportunity to quietly sever himself from Umbrella’s employment — he’s simply going to fake his own death. It’s perfect; no one would ever know.
Now in order to do that, he has to drink some sort of solution that temporarily renders him motionless or at the very least, in a seemingly death-like state. He might even know someone who can provide him with such a solution.
He walks over to his desk and pulls out a document shredder before he slowly begins to slide the document through its teeth. He watches as the paper is cut to pieces; the shredder humming as it eats the page.
 Yes…no one will ever know.

 Snarl !
Unsuspecting eyes meet with a horrific sight: a pale, slumped form with a rotting face, blood and flesh dangling from its maw. The being’s eyes are like that of a dead man’s; dull, milky pupils. Its rotten arms reach out to grab Jill as it approaches her, growling through its blood stained teeth. A piece of flesh falls from its face as it stumbles, falling to the floor with a disgusting ‘ splat !’ Jill steps backwards, afraid at the sight in front of her. It’s — It’s a zombie ! A real zombie! She quickly moves out of the way when the monstrous creature suddenly lunges towards her, screeching as it hits the wall behind her. She makes a run for the front door, but she’s met by another terrifying zombie standing in the doorway. This one is missing its nose and lower jaw, groaning as it reaches towards her. She gasps, falling to the floor in surprise. Both monsters now make their way to her, and she wastes no time getting off the floor and sprinting to her room. She slams the door behind her and locks it, running to her window to pull it open.
After getting the window open, Jill climbs out onto the fire escape and starts running down the escape’s stairs. In the distance, she can hear screams and sounds of destruction coming from the streets. She turns her head in the direction of the noise, spotting civilians running past the alleyway. This causes her to run faster, eager to see what’s going on. Maybe it will be able to explain what the hell just happened in her apartment.
Upon seeing the streets of Raccoon City, Jill is met with utter chaos. Cars and buildings are on fire; their blazes reach towards the sky, crackling as they burn. Bloody bodies are laying in the road, and petrified citizens scream in agony as they’re attacked and eaten alive. People cry out for her to help them as she passes them, begging her to save their lives. There are zombies all around Jill and when one notices her, she starts to run as fast as she can. She’s gotta get out of here, but where can she go? With every turn she makes, she’s met with more rotting faces and stumbling creatures.
She even ran into some zombie-like dogs, just barely able to escape them at the last second.
Suddenly, the sound of a subway train’s horn blares into Jill’s ear drums and she frantically whips her head around as she looks towards the source. What the hell? What is —
 “Jill?!”
 That’s…
 “Jill, is that you?!”
 That’s Erica!
 “Erica — it’s me — it’s Jill!”
Jill starts running in the direction of Erica’s voice, desperate to see her friend again. She keeps going until she runs into a thick fog, coming to a stop once she realizes she’s unable to see her surroundings. Where did all of this fog come from? What happened to the city? Why can’t she see Erica? “Erica?! Where are you?!” She looks around, but with every glance she makes she’s only met with more fog. “Erica?!”
 “ Jill !”
Jill turns to the direction of Erica’s voice as soon as she hears it and instantly feels her heart fall into the pit of her stomach. What she sees is not Erica; what she sees is a giant, hulking creature stomping its way towards her. She can’t make out any of the giant’s features through the fog but as its shadow casts itself over her, Erica’s voice yells directly in her ear.
 “ RUN ! ”
Jill abruptly shoots up in her bed with an ear-splitting scream, and when she opens her eyes she gasps. She’s back in her room, but this time there’s no zombie, there’s no monster — there’s just her. ‘It…It was just a nightmare?’ She asks herself as she pants, looking around the dark room. Frantic hands reach up and touch her face, only to feel that her skin and hair are drenched in sweat. She calms down and sighs in relief knowing that it was just a nightmare but she makes a face of disgust when she realizes that not only is her face and hair wet, but her clothes and sheets are soaked, too.
“ Ew .” Jill murmurs before climbing out of bed and heading towards the bathroom. She flicks on the light and winces before her eyes adjust to the brightness. She looks in the mirror and she looks like an absolute mess . Her hair is unkempt and sweaty, and there are dark circles underneath her eyes. ‘Gross…’ She frowns.
What happened in her nightmare just now? What was happening to the city? What was that thing she saw?
More importantly, what was Erica doing there? And why couldn’t Jill find her?
She turns on the shower faucet and begins removing her clothes as the water starts spraying down into the tub’s floor. Warm water gently begins flowing down her body once she gets in, and she faces up to the faucet to let the water wet her face. She hopes the heat and comfort of the water will clear her mind of the nightmare that just occured, but Jill can’t help but feel a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. She feels like…like something bad is going to happen. Something bad is going to happen to Raccoon City, but she doesn’t know what it is.
She watches as the water flows down into the drain, her eyes staring into the drain’s black hole.
  Sigh .
Tomorrow the S.T.A.R.S. teams are expected to start their investigation through the Arklay Mountains, and Jill knows she’s expected to be in tip-top shape for the mission. However, she isn’t so sure she’s up to the task. She hasn’t gotten any proper sleep in what seems like forever, still haunted by the disappearance of her friend Erica. It’s not like Jill even knew the young woman for very long, but for some reason their lives seem to be intertwined, even after she’s gone.
‘It’ll be fine.’ She reminds herself as she grabs a bottle of shampoo. She knows that she’s completely qualified for her job and she always has been. She knows she’s not alone; she knows she has Chris’s back and he has hers. Her whole team has her back, so there shouldn’t be anything for her to worry about.
 They’ve got this.
She’s got this.

⸺ . ⋆ ☆ ⋆ . ⸺
It was only hours ago that Bravo Team was sent out to investigate the Arklay Mountains by helicopter, and it only took moments for the aircraft to come crashing down. The team held on for dear life, some of them praying while others just hoped for a soft landing. Luckily, Edward managed to pilot the helicopter somewhat safely to the ground, but now they have no communication or a way out of the mountains. Some of their weaponry is missing, too, theorized to have scattered from the crash.
 “Everybody okay?”
Forest pipes up. “10-4.” Kenneth waves a hand. “All good here.” Edward states from the cockpit. “I’m alright.” Richard salutes. “I’m in tip-top shape, sir.” Rebecca gestures a thumbs up with a smile. Enrico nods. “Glad to hear you all made it.” He turns towards Edward. “You got a signal yet, Dewey?”
“No, not yet.” Edward says as he fumbles with knobs and switches, sighing. “I think some of the terminals are damaged, so it might take me a while to get back in contact with Alpha. ”
“ Hm .” Enrico takes a look around and observes the environment.
The woods are eerily quiet and a breeze blows through the trees. They creak and groan against the wind, and the sound of a branch snapping can be heard in the distance. Although the moonlight slips through the cracks of leaves and branches and shines down onto the Bravo team below, it’s barely enough for them to see the world around them. Its light pales in comparison to the pitch black. An owl hoots loudly nearby, making the forest feel all the more haunting than it already does.
“Damn, it’s scary as shit out here. Can it get any worse?” Forest remarks, checking his surroundings. “Don’t jinx it, man.” Richard retorts. Kenneth steps backwards and steps on a twig and Rebecca feels like she might jump out of her skin at the sound. Even though this is only her first mission, this forest gives her the heebie-jeebies. It probably wouldn’t be so bad had they not landed here under such circumstances, worried for her and her team now that they have no communication, missing ammo and weapons, and completely exposed to the elements. Navigating through the forest might become more difficult, but Rebecca has to remind herself of her faith in her team. It’s why she joined the S.T.A.R.S. in the first place. She deeply respects them for their acts of valor and heroism, and in the last 2 years she worked to achieve her place on one of their teams. Of course, it was a major surprise that she was hand picked to be on the Bravo team, accepted and interviewed by the captain of S.T.A.R.S. himself, Albert Wesker. Even though S.T.A.R.S. had two Captains, Wesker and Captain Marini, it was common knowledge that Wesker was the leader of the bunch. He just has that kind of presence.
Rebecca is scared, but she has to be there for her team now! She is a necessary component to the team, after all she is the medic.
“Yeah, it is spooky.” She pipes up, looking around in the dark.
“It may be spooky, but I think that’s going to be the least of our worries.” Kenneth replies.
A crow roughly lands on the hood of the helicopter and caws loudly at the Bravo team members. It causes them all to turn in the direction of the bird, and it caws once again. Edward feels a shudder run through his spine, unnerved by the bird’s sudden presence. He feels like it’s an omen, but it’s definitely not a good one. ‘ More like a bad one. ’ He thinks to himself. Jesus , can they hurry this mission up? It’s like they’re in some kind of horror movie, and he would certainly like to get out of here in time to see the sunrise .
Edward shakes his head, pushing the thoughts to the back of his mind as he continues to fiddle with the terminals. After a couple of moments, he leans back in the pilot’s chair in defeat before climbing out of the cockpit. “Radio’s dead, engine is shot, and we’re down half our supplies. I think we have a pretty good thing going here.” He jokes, and Enrico nods. “Thank you, Dewey.”
Well, it looks like they’ll have to do things on foot from now on. Enrico thinks it’s no big deal, believing they can try to radio the station somewhere else. What he thinks is a big deal, however, is how the helicopter malfunctioned and almost cost his team their lives. He distinctly remembers the aircraft being checked before takeoff, and Wesker himself even gave a final inspection before the team boarded. What could have happened for the engine to just give out like that?
  Sniff, sniff .
The snout of a curious dog-like creature raises and starts to smell the air, aware that there is now a foreign smell inside the woods — the smell of human flesh. It smells the Bravo team’s flesh, and it’s eager to have a taste of it. It begins to growl through its clenched teeth, and a few other dog-like forms lying down raise their heads at the sound. The monstrous canine licks its sharp teeth before it lets out an unnatural howl, alerting the other monsters in the area. The rest of the pack soon follows, starting a collection of ghastly sounds and noises.
The howls echo through the trees, catching the team members’ attention. Edward lifts his head from the cockpit. Enrico furrows his brows at the sound. Forest clutches his weaponry and Kenneth does the same, both of them incredibly disturbed by the inhuman sound. Rebecca frowns but it quickly fades when Richard nudges her arm. ‘You’ll be fine.’ He mouths, and she smiles wide at his reassurance. ‘Thanks.’ She mouths back before their captain speaks up.
“We need to get moving, team.”
Enrico isn’t sure what he and his team are heading into, but he knows they need to stick together. Who knows what they’ll see once they venture into the wilderness. Who knows what these creatures might do when they spot them. Who knows if they’ll live to tell the tale.

 “What’s going on, Vickers?”
Brad is silent for a moment, unable to find the words to say. There’s only the sound of static on the other end of the line, and he nervously clenches and unclenches his fists. The signal to Bravo team’s helicopter just cut out, and all he heard before that happened was a voice yell “We’re going down!” He swallows and slowly turns towards his Captain and teammates with a look of worry.
 “We lost contact.”
Earlier in the night, Wesker had received word that the Ecliptic Express, one of Umbrella’s private trains, was attacked and contaminated with the T-Virus by T-Virus infected leeches. He doesn’t have a clue where such a creature would have come from. Leeches haven’t been used in any of Umbrella’s experiments for a long time, over 10 years to be exact, but he can’t help but wonder if someone inside Umbrella purposefully attacked the train. He decided to send in Bravo Team first as a cover for the ‘murders’ so, in the meantime, he could observe and figure out what caused the outbreak on the train. He and a clean up team will head out to take back the train and get rid of it before any other witnesses find it.
Wesker folds his arms, observing everyone’s faces of concern before clearing his throat. “Try contacting them through their on hand radios.”
 “I can’t.”
 “Why not?”
 “Their radios are dead, too.”
Wesker pretends to show a look of deep concern for the Bravos, but he doesn’t really care. He just hopes that everything will go according to plan and then he can get out of Raccoon City. Loss of communication is the first sign that he’s close to getting rid of these pesky S.T.A.R.S..
Barry has a look of apprehension, anxious to know about the condition of the Bravo team members. He quickly reminds himself that everything’s alright. They’re S.T.A.R.S.. They’ll be fine . Chris has a similar expression, his chest beginning to tighten at his teammate’s words. What happened? Why did they lose contact, and what are they gonna do to get it back? God, he’s so tired; tired of working this damn case. He’s tired of hearing about so many innocent lives lost at the hands of — of whatever is killing these people and not getting any answers. Now that the Bravo team is missing, he can only hope that their skills and weapons will save them now.
Jill is in shock, same as everyone else, as the words slip past Brad’s lips. Oh no . She nervously chews on her lower lip as their pilot desperately tries communicating with the Bravo team, but she has a feeling they probably won’t be answering. Her stomach churns, rumbling as she thinks about what could have happened.
Could this be what her nightmare was telling her? Is this the beginning of what’s to come?
She has a feeling her nightmare is about to come true.

If and when we get another RE1 remake. I want there to be flashbacks to the S.T.A.R.S. members. I want there to be flashbacks to them chilling in the office, doing missions together and just being friends. I want the impact of Chris and Jill finding the bodies of Richard, Dewey, Joseph, Enrico, Forest, and Kenneth to be emotional and to see why the loss of S.T.A.R.S. mattered and why we get the ultimate satisfaction of Wesker's end in RE5

I made a comprehensive infographic about the different skills of the STARS members that vary from expectable to utterly wild. Some of the characteristics of these people make me all the more feral for a game about them being alive and well and working together and Raccoon City.

How the S.T.A.R.S. members would react if you died in their arms
Tumblr media
Warnings: mention of blood, death
────────────────────────────────────
—Albert Wesker—
Wesker is surprisingly calm, almost unbothered. But on the inside, he's seething with rage. He's aware that there's nothing he can do to save you, but he keeps up his cool demeanor so you don't become even more frightened. Though Wesker isn't the best when it comes to comforting others, he will try his best to keep you somewhat at peace. The soothing sound of his voice and the way his hand gently caresses your face and brushes the loose strands of your hair behind your ear are the last things you are aware of before you take your last breath.
—Chris Redfield—
He's cursing and pleading for you to hold on repeatedly. He don't want to lose you. He can't lose you. You're his dearest friend, his heart and soul, his everything. He needs you, just like he needs air to live. Chris will hold onto you, pressing you against his chest and yelling for someone to do something. He'll promise you that everything will be okay again, that help is on the way, you just have to hold on a little longer. But when the inevitable happens, he'll cry out your name in despair and grief. He refuses to leave your side, even though you've already left him.
—Jill Valentine—
She frantically tries to stop the bleeding as she keeps talking to you to distract you from the pain and to keep you awake. “Come on, Y/n, you can't die on me. What about that trip we were planning to go on?” Jill's voice cracks at the end of the sentence, her hands are trembling and her cheeks are wet from the tears. She's begging you to keep fighting, to not give up, but all her attempts and pleas are useless against the force that's slowly taking you from her. Jill will spend your last moments together tenderly stroking your head and telling you how much she loves you while shedding countless tears.
—Joseph Frost—
Joseph is in deep shock and can't really process what is happening. He wasn't looking for just a moment and now you're lying in his arms, dying. “Y/n, please hold on. Help is on the way. Please...” Joseph's voice is shaking and you can see that he can barely hold back the tears. You reach out to him, telling him that everything will be okay even though you know it's not true. And so does Joseph. But since he doesn't want you to feel scared, and because he doesn't want to face the truth, he just nods and leans in to your touch one last time.
—Brad Vickers—
Brad is completely devastated. He has already lost so much, he can't lose you too. That's just not fair. He's shaking and crying the entire time, begging you to stay with him over and over again. He's holding onto you tightly, hoping that'll be enough to make the bleeding magically stop, but deep down he knows you're both running out of time. During your last moments, Brad confesses how much you really mean to him and how much he hates himself for not telling you sooner and protecting you.
—Barry Burton—
Barry feels like the weight of the entire world was sitting on his chest as he carefully picked you up and cradled you in his arms. His usually firm grip was now gentle and with the tenderest of touches, he stroked and patted your head. “There, there, I'm here. It's okay, I'm here.” He whispers comfortingly, his eyes and heart are so full of sorrow and guilt. This shouldn't have had happened. It should've been him, not you. Barry doesn't cry, not in front of you at least. He knows now is not the time for that, but he will once he's alone.
—Enrico Marini—
He blames himself for not being there in time and apologizes to you the whole time and asks for forgiveness. You can hear the pain and self-hatred in his voice and you feel so incredibly sorry for him. You tell him to not blame himself for what has happened to you and that it isn't his fault. But Enrico, as much as he wants to believe it, just can't. He feels so helpless and he hates it. He hates that all he can do is watch you die. The last thing you hear before you succumb to the eternal sleep is him promising that he'll never forget you and that he'll make the person who did that to you pay.
—Forest Speyer—
“No, please, don't leave me here. Please!” Forest feels like someone was repeatedly stabbing him in the heart. He is in complete denial and silently begging for this nightmare to end while he's cradling you in his arms. It must be a nightmare, right? One moment you both were goofing around happily and now he was about to lose one of the most important people in his life. But, no matter how much he tried to tell himself that this wasn't real, that he would wake up any second, he eventually came to the realisation that this was really happening and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
—Edward Dewey—
'Heartbroken' doesn't even come close to what poor Edward is feeling when he sees you lying in his arms, struggling to breathe. “Please, don't cry” you whisper hoarsely as you reach up to caress his cheek, tearing apart his heart even more, because he's the one who's being comforted. For you, Edward will try his best to look strong and hold back his tears, but the fact that you are dying and still comforting him while he can't do anything to save you is just too much for him. He will hold you close to his heart while silent tears are rolling down his cheeks.
—Rebecca Chambers—
Poor Becca is crying the entire time as she's holding onto you like it's the only thing that can keep you with her. She's devastated and feels so helpless and useless. She has tried everything to make the bleeding stop, but your wounds are just too severe. With trembling hands and a heavy heart, she gently wipes the tears from your face and tells you how brave you are and how sorry she is for not being able to do more for you. She doesn't even know if she'll ever be able to live normally after that.
—Richard Aiken—
Richard immediately gets flashbacks to when his little sister died all those years ago. And just like back then, he feels just as helpless and lost. Why you? Why not him? There's no word to express how much it pains Richard to see you this way. Sadness, despair, heartbreak, anger. All these words don't even come close to what he's feeling in that moment. He feels like a total failure. He had sworn to protect those he holds dear, that's why he joined S.T.A.R.S. and yet he couldn't protect you. He'll never forgive himself for letting you down.
—Kenneth Sullivan—
Kenneth tries to be as calm as possible. He doesn't say it out loud, mainly because he doesn't want to scare you, but he knows your time is limited. But, just because he tries to be strong, doesn't mean he's not suffering. In fact, he's screaming on the inside, cursing whatever God can hear him for doing this to you. The fatherly side of him soon takes over and he'll stroke your head and hum softly as he watches you getting weaker and weaker with every minute. He hates that he's forced to sit here and watch the life leaving your body. But at least you're not alone. After your death he breaks down and allows his emotions to take over.
—Kevin Dooley—
He is a complete mess and doesn't really know what to do. He knows help is on the way and tells you that everything will be alright again, but judging by how weak you're already are, he soon has to accept the harsh truth. You're not going to make it. You look so small and fragile and it really breaks his heart, but he doesn't want your last moments to be overshadowed by his suffering and grief. So he'll pull himself together and comfort you as best as he can. Even cracking a few jokes here and there to distract you from the pain and the fact that this is it.

Chapter Twenty Six [Wesker]: Psycho Killer
Tumblr media
Pairing: Albert Wesker x GN!Cannibal Reader
Warnings: guns, discussion/description of murders and deaths, Cerberus.
Summary: Wesker, Jill, and Barry make it into the mansion, but where’s Chris?
Read On AO3 [ X ]
Wesker ran through the dark fog filled forest along with the remaining members of the Alpha team, all of which were quickly being encroached upon by a pack of Cerberus who were hot on their trail. The group had left the safety of their helicopter to search the wreckage of Bravo team's destroyed helicopter, but they were attacked by the pack. The undead hounds had taken out Joseph in the midst of it all, but the others had made it away, and were running with him straight for the doors of the mansion. Wesker was the first one to reach them, slamming into the doors with his shoulder. He quickly pushed it open and held it for the others.
“Come on! This way!”
Barry and Jill both piled in and Wesker closed the door. The three of them were finally able to stop running, barricaded away from their pursuers, and attempting to catch their breaths. Barry was the first to look up, taking in the view of the main hall. He caught sight of the chandelier, the marble floors, the dark hardwood banisters, the pillars, the luscious looking crimson carpet on the floor that led up the staircase and out of his view. He would have never dreamed that this would be here, in the middle of the Arklay forest of all places.
“What is this place?” Barry asked curiously
“Definitely not your ordinary house - that’s for sure.” Wesker commented
Jill began to look around too, but instead of being overtaken by the eerie beauty of the gothic mansion, she was counting each of her teammates, making sure they all made it in safely. Wesker watched her and he could see the panic on her face when she looked up at him, realizing someone was missing.
“Wesker, where’s Chris?!”
Both of their attention was drawn to the door behind them. Jill attempted to run for it, to go back after Chris, but Wesker grabbed hold of her arm, stopping her. He knew if she went out there those damned undead hounds would come pouring inside, which is the exact opposite of what he needed right now.
He was saving her for you.
“No. Trust me, you don’t want to go back out there, Jill.”
She looked up at him, confused and worried. He knew his words did not console her and that she was still searching him for answers.
“But we have to find Chri-”
A loud commotion came out from the room to their left, stopping Jill in the middle of her sentence. The three of them turned their attention to it, eyes locked on the door. Wesker knew you had released all of the bioweapons on his orders, so the chance of it being you over there was low.
But, he still hoped it was you.
“What the hell was that?” Barry asked
“Jill, I want you to go and investigate it.” Wesker commanded
Jill nodded and proceeded to move in the direction of the door.
“I’m going with her.” Barry interrupted, turning his attention to Wesker.
Wesker knew Barry’s type. His stance, demeanor, and voice gave Wesker all the cues he needed to know that Barry had every intention of sticking himself in between Jill and him. The man must have assumed that Wesker was the only devil inside this sanctuary in the woods.
Too bad Barry had yet to find out about you. He’d be gutted by your betrayal.
“If it’s Chris, I don’t want her going alone. Me and him go back a long way. If something happened to him, I just -” Barry stated
“Alright.” Wesker replied, “You two go investigate the west wing then. I’ll investigate this area.”
Jill nodded and Barry turned his attention to her. He picked up his pistol and pointed it towards the door, the two of them headed out of the main hall and to the dining room, leaving Wesker to himself. He let out a sigh of relief, finally being away from them. He had other things to attend to that didn’t involve babysitting S.T.A.R.S., and the first thing he needed to do was find you.
He just didn’t know you had already found him first.
“Hey.”
Wesker looked up to his left at the sound of your voice, seeing you standing on the upper floor, leaning over the railing as you looked down at him. He could see the glimmer of happiness in your eyes, your bloodied smile looking down at him sweetly. That’s when he realized you were completely covered in blood. You looked like something that walked straight out of Stephen King’s Carrie.
He could help but smirk at the sight, knowing you’ve been enjoying yourself amongst the onslaught. He waved you down to him to come to him and you did so, tracking the blood through the hall. It’s a good thing the carpet matched in color. The rest of the team would be none the wiser.
“So, what’s the verdict?” He whispered
“Dewey, Forest, and Kenneth were all eliminated. I let the hounds take care of Rebecca and Yawn is out for Richard's neck right now. Dooley died in the crash.” You explained, looking around. “I heard Barry and Jill go into the dinning room, but where’s Chris and Brad?”
“Outside the mansion still, Brad took off in the helicopter and Chris is most likely fighting the rest of the Cerberus. I want you to go after him, get him inside.” Wesker replied, “Barry is on our side, for now. I’ve taken to threatening him where it matters most so he can help keep an eye on Jill for us. But if he comes at you -”
“Eliminate him?” You interrupted
He nodded, smirking at you.
“Precisely.”
“Alright, easy enough.” You replied
“How has everything been for you?” Wesker asked, “Considering the circumstances, I mean.”
“It felt really good getting to kill all of them - Umbrella.” You replied, “I know any truly rational person wouldn’t feel this way, but god it felt so fucking good to finally get my revenge.”
“Well I’m happy to hear you're relishing in it.” He replied, “I know it’ll help you in our efforts to go further.”
You nodded, now looking down and away from him.
“Yeah, it’ll go according to plan.”
Wesker caught the change in your tone as you avoided his gaze. He knew something else was clouding your mind.
“What’s wrong?” He asked
He could see you bit down on your lip, chewing away at it, lost in thought before you finally replied to him.
“Umbrella is one thing, so were the rest of my victims. Those were out of revenge or out of hunger. But playing with S.T.A.R.S. feels different.” You confessed, “I pity them to be honest.”
“Why pity? Is it getting in the way?” He asked
“I wouldn’t say it’s getting in the way, but rather an after effect. I’ve never felt this before.”
“Can you still do what you need to in the midst of it?” Wesker asked
You nodded.
“Yes, I won’t let it stop me. It’s just a new feeling… I just thought you should know.”
“Good. I would love to stay and chat longer about this, but I have to go.” Wesker urged, “Lead Chris to the lab and stay out of Barry’s way. Everything should work out according to plan.”
“Alright.” You replied.
Wesker moved to leave your side, but you took hold of his wrist stopping him. He looked at you and saw the worry in your eyes, concern laced in every word you spoke.
“Just… Please be careful. Bioweapons are crawling everywhere. I don’t know what I’d do if you got hurt by one of them.”
He smiled at your words. Here you were, caring about him once again.
How’d he get so lucky?
“Thank you for the concern, but trust me - I know how to handle myself.” He replied, “I’ll see you soon.”
You nodded and took off through the front door. Wesker cocked his gun and headed up to the second floor, straight for the security room. When he opened the door he was immediately hit with the stench of death, decay, and blood from the two guards on the floor.
It looked like you had your fun tearing them apart.
He stepped over them and took to the monitors, looking through each one. He could see the body of Forest sitting in the chair against the window, noticing the crows picking away at the remains you’d left for them. He smiled at the sight of it, knowing that must have been an interesting fight by the looks of his fatal injuries. He continued to look through the others, catching sight of Kenneth on the floor as Jill and Barry continued to inspect his lifeless body. Wesker looked around for Richard, but couldn’t find any sight of him. He did happen to notice Rebecca Chambers wandering around though in search of survivors. That came as a surprise to him, he didn’t think she’d survive the Cerberus outside. It was no matter though, once you’d caught sight of her, he knew she’d be done for. He then checked the next monitor to see you outside in the darkness helping Chris take out the rest of the undead hounds. Wesker could see you turn your attention to Chris when it was all over, giving the man a thumbs up. He noticed Chris placing his hand on your shoulder, keeping it there as you two walked back into the mansion. Wesker found it interesting that you were playing into Chris’ need for approval and thanks from others, his constant need to protect them.
Wesker found that admirable of you being able to play these people like you had been, whether it was by hiding in plain sight or just by eviscerating them. As you found yourself pitying them in the midst of their deaths, Wesker pitied their gullibility, knowing that it would be the team's downfall.
Especially for Chris Redfield.
Wesker looked down at the switchboard in front of him, finding the button he needed to open the path to the lab. He left the security room, silently making his way outside to the fountain. He watched water drain away, the secret doors opening up, showing the stairs that lead down. Wesker took one last look around him, checking to make sure that the coast was clear, that no surviving member of S.T.A.R.S. was watching him from the windows. When all was safe, he decided down -
Down into the pit of hell that his devil had created.
