"We’ve forgotten we’re supposed to be making games, not movies. As a result, game development is turning into a circus, costs are skyrocketing, users get bored faster than ever and the development of truly new games – new ways of having fun – has all but stopped." Hiroshi Yamauchi
In a recent Famitsu interview, Final Fantasy 16 developers Kujiraoka, Takai, and Yoshi-P shared an intriguing insight. They mentioned that by finishing both the "Echoes of Fallen" and "Rising Tide" DLCs, players unlock an epilogue promising to "give you the most hope." This epilogue, involving Clive, offers a sense of reassurance, conveying the notion that the world is finally secure.
Kujiraoka: I can't reveal the exact details, but we have prepared a comprehensive epilogue quest that unlocks after clearing both DLCs as an expression of gratitude to the fans.
Takai: It's a quest that will make you go "oh, is that so?"
Yoshida: The epilogue connects to all that Clive has done thus far in the story taking place in the world of FF16. It's a conclusion of sorts.
Kujiraoka: Perhaps this is something in the DLC that might give you the most hope. By playing this quest, its contents will allow you to feel that the world is safe after all.
