House of the Dragon Hot Take #2

As a viewer, I'm Team Women. Rhaenyra, Alicent, Rhaenys, Baela, Rhaena, Helaena, Dyana, Laena, Aemma, Rhea, and Mysaria are all victims in their own right. All the rape, childbirth scenes/trauma, blatant domestic violence, grooming, and pedophilia in the show is JARRING. I'm genuinely tired of seeing people try to side with one woman by shitting on the other. Every character in that show is morally grey/complex/"evil"/bad in some way. ESPECIALLY the female characters. All women in that show have suffered whether because of each other, the society they live in, or the men. (Mostly the men.) I'm just going to be real and say almost every man in that show is a bad person in some way. Daemon, Viserys, Aegon II, Aemond, Criston, Otto, Tyland, Jason, Larys, Lyonel, Corlys, and Vaemond are all bad men who have done bad things. Team Black and Team Green stans will do ANYTHING to disprove each other. It doesn't matter if you don't like the character, you can still admit none of them deserved what they got.

I seen a lot of people argue at Percy is too smart in the show but One, Sally Jackson used Greek myths as bedtime stories, she took him to museums, she did her best to teach him about the God's and monster's that were gonna come to hurt him, was he ment to not learn anything? And Two, Perseus Jackson isn't an idiot! The books are from HIS point of view and he's is an unreliable narrator that THINKS he's an idiot. He's not ACTUALLY an idiot.

Do you ever miss a character from a show but not like in the way that you want to rewatch the whole show because theres so much stuff going on and thats not what youre looking for but you miss your boy

I cannot possibly be the only one who is genuinely so tired of the "Team Green" or "Team Black" discourse. I'm tired of seeing people get called Nazi's, I'm tired of seeing people get told to kill themselves, and most of all I'm tired of seeing innocent actors get insulted and attacked on every social media in existence because they did their job and made a light-hearted promo video. You guys literally cannot just have some silly fun with your favorite shows and books, you have to start a real life civil fucking war like OUR lives are at stake. Trust me, Aegon II Targaryen himself will not come through the screen and have sex with you if you tell Team Black members to kill themselves, call them Nazi's, and make fun of their actors' appearances. Daemon Targaryen himself won't come through the screen and have sex with you if you tell Team Green members to kill themselves, call them rapists and misogynists, and insult their actors' appearances. Grow the fuck up.

adventure time lore is insane. it starts off just being a goofy kids show that has magic for no reason, but then you learn that all magic users are manic and/or depressed (what betty calls sadness and madness). because it turns out magic is actually a cosmic force beyond mortal comprehension, that itself was learned from cosmic entities that predated the existence of time itself inside a sea of monsters. and "magic" really is just understanding more about the nature of the universe than most people. that, in a way, reality isnt "real" and understanding that allows you to mold it. and thats magic. but that drives you to insanity and/or apathy. and there are beings who hold significant cosmic importance who are more prone to magic. and the reason magic became prevalent on earth is because of a nuclear war a thousand years ago, which released the entity that represents the destruction of all life onto the world. and after a nuclear apocalypse this gave way to a new earth, where magic could thrive. but a lot of the beings we see arent even magical, theyre just mutants from what happened 1000 years ago. and humanity as we know it has been all but wiped out. but everything stays the same because cycles of war and violence continue. and it doesnt matter if its nukes or magic. everything stays the same, but still changes.
