🍀 favorite song? 🥳 least favorite song?
evil..........
my favorite song from tgwdlm is let it out. look joey richter's version of confrontation did something to my brain. join us and die comes in second because of jaime's vocals
from black friday is feast or famine. consumerist mob song?? frank pricely??? curt's shopper?? pLEASE
from nmt1 is snoozle town. i also really like jane's a car, but snoozle town is just too funny to me
from nmt2 is virginity rocks! very predictable i'm aware. but did you know that the day that sally met her boy she told everyone? everyone, yeah. neither played shy or even coy, too. and, uh, they told everyone. they sat on the beach. it was real cute, man. then sally removed the sequined dress from on top of her suit. uh, the boy leaned in, but sally crooned "leave room!" did you know that? did you? crazy, right? well just you wait until i tell you about tayl
from npmd it's either the summoning or just for once. i'm so tired of people ranking just for once so low on their tier lists i know it was probably a tough choice but it's just for once!! do you not see the tragedy in a severely bullied high school girl with raging self image issues singing (on an empty stage, because she's too scared in front of other people) through the disguise of a character in a play about how she wants to live a good enough life to have a mid-life crisis??? i know it's a change in tone but we also do have the whiplash of as cool as i think i am (reprise) right after the summoning. why don't you care about her pouring her heart out as you do pete :( she's not even asking for that much. pete wants to be cool, but all she wants is to live
least favorite song.... uh.. young at heart probably. icky vibes

Season 3x8 Episode Live Reaction
So, apparently there's a Content Warning for this episode?
WHAT?
Anyway - I will be watching so... thoughts below.
Holes are bad is a terrible name for the episode.
here we go....
OOOh flashback for Hetty. "Under 2 months"???
Legal Trouble??? OMG.
Of course Elias would cause Hetty problems. Even dead.
"Four".
"None of you are alive so what emergency could there be."
"You could lie to me once"
"YOu listen?" "You don't?"
Nancy wants Thor.
LOL Steph is back.
"LOL - it's illegal" -MEH.
I KNEW IT WAS RALPH!!!!
"That was rude."
SO, STEPH just went to sleep???
She ignores that Pete was like "GRAB YOUR SUCKOFF BUDDY".
"Just a basement ghost - my bad"
OMG THOR. OMG - you heard her!!!
LMAO !!! I cannot believe that Thor knew the entire time!
Chasing a butterfly???
The way everyone looks at Thor.
The concerned looks on the younger ghosts' faces. OMG.
"They're like what to do mean??? WHY???"
I love their excitement!
GOD DYING ALREADY.
Another flashbook. "No one has called ever, i believe."
Of course climbing out doesn't work.
Aw Trevor and Alberta wanting to save Flower!!
I love their teamup.
Sass is like "LET ME TELL THE STORY." I'm literally the storyteller!
LOVE SASS/ISAAC teamup.
1895 - stuck in a hole.
WAIT TOO MUCH MOPHINE?? Hetty died of an overdose?
WHO ELSE WAS IN THE HOLE.
AW PATIENCE!!! I'm SAD. Purtain woman! Lost in the dirt???
OH NO OH ON.
"YOu know FACETIME???"
THE GHOSTS ARE NOT ON FACETIME. I can't believe Trevor thought he could do the drawer - big step up from Sam's MOM where he wouldn't even try a drawer.
NOOOOOOOO!!!
"SHE MAY BE FERAL - DO NOT ENGAGE."
AHHHHHH!
I'm SCREAMING!
"i will punch them."
Another flashback. THE TELEPHONE.
WRONG NUMBER.
Aw Thor is cute here.
Hetty - Has a string around her neck? OMG... she hung herself?? It's the rope from her death.
Ass Sass and Trevor catching her!
How did you not know??? It didn't register has any thing weird.
"Oh hey Sam."
LOL Sam's Face at this explanation! If only Jay hadn't put away the iPad.
You got her a magnet???
Aw, Isaac and Sam are here for Hetty.
Trying to protect her son. And he could've become a murderer either way - it had nothing to do with your death.
I do really love the explanation of how they all missed Hetty's death and Elias' Vault. Finally it makes sense.
Awww Hetty & Flower moment.
LOL big secret. "I robbed a bank once." - "It's good to have you back."
LOL Checking the Owl Thing.
LOL Jay figuring out what's happening...
***
Final thoughts, It was a great episode. I am sad Steph was there just to tell them about Ralph/Flower - poor steph, but I totally called that. and I did like the episode.
TOTALLY PISSED PETE'S GHOST POWER WAS REVEALED IN THE FUCKING PROMO.

so uh, why didn't orin just kill durge? she had the opportunity, and it would've absolutely been the correct thing to do to a competitor spawn, given her ambitions. why give them the chance to live and go on killing and perhaps earn their father's favor once more, while risking to fall out of favor herself for leaving a victim *alive*?
obviously a plot hole, if you ask me, but maybe you can come up with a watsonian explanation
Bhaal wants ritual combat and during a Durge playthrough Sceleritas may flat out tell you that you are being tested. He wants Durge alive and to undergo these trials.
Orin also doesn't just want them dead, she wants the religious combat trial so that she can prove herself more worthy of Bhaal than them in view of the entire church the "proper way" (for lack of a better word), but Durge kept refusing her. So she bashes in their brain aiming to scramble it and tadpoles them, expecting them to crawl their way back, disgraced and forced to fight to regain their place (Bhaal will guide them back to their destiny, and as a godspawn they should be perfectly capable of surviving anything between them and her even with their brain stitching itself back together)
I would hazard a guess that Orin prayed for the chance to prove herself - consciously or subconsciously - and Bhaal came to her (presumably in vision form) and gave her these instructions to follow with the promise of giving her her chance.
Durge was crafted directly by Bhaal as his self-insert to destroy the world. Orin - "the other one" as Bhaal likes to call her (more reasons to stab him) - was born to be sacrificed to him by Durge when they claim their place as Bhaal's Chosen and proxy upon Toril. Durge isn't allowed to lose, Orin was born to. Bhaal doesn't want a "mere grandchild" with "diluted blood" like Orin. If Durge loses once then Bhaal resurrects them (he doesn't do this for Orin) if they lose again then Bhaal will let the party kill her and resurrect Durge and subject them to the worst ending (where he puppets them directly sort of like he did his mortal avatars in the Time of Troubles.) If Durge is dead then whoever takes their place will kill Orin and that's the end of it. Bhaal can resurrect her too, but he's not going to.
This is his plan to test whether he did a good enough job crafting and shaping the Dark Urge or if he needs to scrap Plan B and move onto Plan C; Orin is his puppet facilitating it.
I would assume in a non-Durge playthrough that they don't survive either her or Kressa, and she shrugs and drags their corpse back as a trophy. I have no idea whether her diary talking about the tadpole plan is still there if you're doing a non-Durge run. The question of why Bhaal doesn't resurrect Durge in this case I am going to consign to the plot hole called "we wanted eight potential protagonists". Trying to make sense of that one is a losing battle, I think.

I am so very in love with you

——————————————————————————
The Governor destroyed the entire prison. That was something Rick’s group was worried about. Why would they expect something like that though? Rick and his group destroyed Woodbury and killed so many of his people. Then the Governor mysteriously disappeared, not being able to find him, Michonne would look for him with Daryl occasionally taking part of the search.
In the end, Daryl gave up while Michonne didn't. And now? The prison has been destroyed and Rick’s group split apart, no one knows for sure if the others are alive.
Y/n found herself alone with no one, nothing. She no longer had the will to live due to not knowing wether or not the others were alright. who knows if Daryl, the man she had her eyes on was even alive. Y/n blames herself constantly for not being able to profess her feelings for him. It was like love at first sight, falling head over heels for the charismatic yet dirty man that showed up at the farm that day.
Y/n has lost many people she cared deeply about, her two sisters - Maggie and Beth, her father Hershel, her relatives and many more people. She was determined to find out wether or not Daryl and the others were alive.
She wanders along the road with no location particular in mind, occasionally chuckling to herself in a sad manner when recalling all the fun memories she once experienced. from when her, Beth and Maggie went to hair salons and rode on horses together, to when she took care of her younger siblings. Damn the Governor and this whole apocalypse. Though impossible, Y/n hopes every day that everything will return to normal, she hopes that this is just a bad dream and when she wakes up, someone will be there to comfort her. Y/n hopes to meet Daryl again and be able to confess her feelings.
Y/n was brought out of her thoughts by the sounds of walker groans, pulling out the knife from her belt, She kills the walker to prevent more from showing up. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, more walkers started to show up and before she could react, a walker managed to tackle her to the ground. Fortunately she had a loaded gun on her, Y/n quickly took out the walker before killing the others.
Groaning, Y/n shoves the walker off herself before standing up and dusting her clothes. If they weren’t blood stained before, now they certainly were. Her heart beating fast from all the adrenaline, the only thing on her mind was yet again Daryl. She wonders, why didn't she confess or wasn't able to? Was she afraid of rejection? Was she afraid of becoming attached just to lose someone she cared about again? The reasons were endless.
The nervous woman continues to walk along the tracks, noticing some sort of sign a short distance away from her. she quickly sprints to the sign, ''SANCTUARY FOR ALL COMMUNITY FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARRIVE SURVIVE'' it reads. Y/n glances at the map below the words, ''TERMINUS'' is marked on the beige map. Y/n doesn't know if she should trust it but something in her tells her that if Daryl and/or the others survived and saw this, they would go there and so Y/n has decided to make her way to Terminus.
———
The (h/c) haired girl walks silently through the forest, wanting to stay near possible food and water sources, she sees on the tracks that there is another map to Terminus. Y/n knew she was on the right track. After walking for hours, she knew it would be getting dark soon. She slowly came out of the forest and suddenly saw a smaller wooden hut. Smiling to herself, Y/n made her way to the front door of the house.
But suddenly, hearing someone yelling there and a baby crying. As she got closer, she could hear at least bits of something they were shouting at each other.
“Back off!” The unknown man shouted, so loud that it attracted two walkers.
Y/n walked slowly and quietly to the house, mentally noting to herself to not make any noise that would attract the walkers. just as Y/n warned herself, she stepped on a small stick causing it to make crunching noise. thankfully, the walkers didn't seem to pay any attention to her as they continued to bang on the house. silently cursing to herself, she tries not to make any sudden movements that would attract the walkers.
the screams were getting louder and louder. Y/n heard a familiar voice, the voice of a good friend from the prison, Tyreese.
“Please. Don’t hurt her!” He said loudly in fear.
Those words were probably aimed at the crying baby, the only baby she remembered was Judith. Y/n was afraid that Judith had died, but it seems that Tyreese saved her.
“Dammit, they're both in danger..” She thought to herself.
She knew she had to do something to save them. Y/-n's mind was racing back and forth trying to quickly think of a plan that wouldn't result in the death of more people she cared about. She needed to kill the walkers in a quiet way that wouldn't draw more attention to the house. Self doubt hit Y/n like a fire truck, would she really be able to do this?
“I have to try at least.” She sighed
She had to mentally prepare herself. Now it was about risking not only her life, but two others. Two people she cared about.
Now with the ready knife in her hand, she slowly walked towards the first walker, thrusting the sharped blade into its head. She quickly caught it so the walker wouldn't fall and make too much noise. Carefully setting the walker on the ground, the next walker was about to attack. Thanks to her instincts, she was able to successfully kill the second walker. The second walker soon hit the ground. there was one thing on Y/n's mind, to kill the son of a bitch who's holding Judith hostage.
Remembering about the knife and now bulletless gun, Y/n is going to have to do the most insane thing in the world, which is to hope that everyone make it out alive with little to no injuries. Pulling out the gun whilst moving closer to the door, the young woman breathes heavily, feeling a big wave of uneasiness and nervousness hit her. Y/n takes three deep breaths, trying to calm her nerves. once calmer, she anxiously reaches for the handle and quickly flings the wooden door open.
“Get your filthy hands off her. Now!” She said loudly in aggression with her gun pointed at the man.
In fear Y/n quickly looked around the room in the house, she saw Tyreese, a little beaten up, but still breathing on the ground and a man with a gun in one hand pointed at the man on the ground and the other hand on Judith's neck. Now he was aiming at her, this gave Tyreese time to figure out what to do.
“Put that gun down or I wil kill her.” He said very seriously.
“What kind of motherfucker could kill an innocent baby?” Y/n thought to herself, she didn't want anything to happen to the baby. Judith was the only thing that reminded her of Lori, except for Carl.
“I don't want any problems. Come on, put the gun down, please!” She said quietly.
“Why should I? That old bitch is going to kill my people, so why not kill the three of you?”
“Come on man…you don’t need to do this..” Y/n said a little flustered.
“No. I'll start with you, then her and I will kill him last so he can watch how you both die.” He said and started to stand up, he was still pointing the gun at Y/n.
Y/n's eyes started to fill with tears, she knew she had messed up. She knew she wouldn't save anyone. They will all die. In the end no one ends up well in this world. Everyone just dies. Like her father, aunt, sisters, her long time best friend and crush, Daryl and everyone else she cares about. Y/n prepared for her death, but to prevent that, Tyreese got up from the ground and ran after the man who wanted to take his friend's life. He threw him to the ground and started beating him. Several times in a row until he finally beat him to death.
Meanwhile, Y/n was trying to recover from what just happened. The tears streaming from her eyes are not helping enough. When Tyreese was sure the man was dead, he stepped away from him and looked at the crying girl. He came to her and hugged her.
“Jesus. I though you were dead.” He said now with tears in his eyes too.
“I though that too Ty..” She said quickly to keep herself from breaking down.
“I know you probably won't believe me, but Carol. Carol is alive.” He told Y/n, stepping away from her to look at her with a smile.
“W-what? She, she really is? Oh my..Oh my god” Now she was sure she was going to breadown, but by happiness and joy.
“Yeah..she is. And if she thought correctly, then she will actually save someone from Rick's group..”
And now, Y/n smiled. She flashed him a big smile. Now knowing she would get someone back from her family, she could only hope her sisters were there and maybe Daryl too.
“Ok, let's wait.” Y/n said and moved to Judith to take her and cradle in arms.
“Yeah, let's wait. I'll-I'll take his body and uh- and throw him somewhere, probably..” Tyreese replied.
“Alright..” Y/n said and cradled Judi more.
———
It was getting dark and Y/n and Tyrese were still waiting for Carol to return. Luckily, Judith was already asleep, so no walkers in sight.
“You don't even know what the hell happened. What me and Carol had to do…she told me she didn't want to think about it anymore and wanted to forget. But, I want to tell at least to you.” He said, looking thoughtful.
“Hm?” The girl looked at him questioningly.
“I escaped from prison with Lizzie and Mika. Then Carol found us and..” he looked like he would cry.
“We found a house. We were there for a while. But, Lizzie. She was mentally disturbed and thought walkers were good. So she killed Mika and tried to kill Judith as well. But in the end, Carol shot Lizzie..” He finished, feeling flustrated he needed some fresh air.
“I’m going out for a while, we need someone to watch anyway.”
“Yeah, yeah, clear…cool. I will look after Judi then.” Y/n said in nervousness, not knowing what to say to her friend.
After some time, Tyreese ran back into the house with a big smile on his face. This could mean only one thing, Carol has returned. Y/n quickly jumped up from the ground and looked at the man standing in front of her.
“Carol is back and she’s not alone. Come on!” He said enthusiastically and ran out of the house.
Y/n carefully took Judith into her arms again and stepped outside, as soon as she raised her head and looked ahead, she saw carol. The older woman took Judi in her arms and kissed her on the forehead.
“Oh god, Y/n. Is that really you? I’m not hallucinating am I?” She carol said, eyes brimming with tears, she was just so happy to see the woman in front of her again, especially when she thought that Y/n had died.
“Yeah, it’s me. You aren’t hallucinating, I think.” Y/n chuckled
“Y/n!!”
That voice... Y/n knew who it was and it could be none other than...
''Maggie!!'' She cried, running over to her younger sister that was sprinting towards her.
“I can’t believe you are alive. Oh my god..” Maggie said in tears.
“I missed you so much Magg...'' The elder sister cried.
''Hey, i think that there is someone who would like to welcome you too..'' The brunette woman said, smiling at her sister before letting go and moving away from her.
Now Y/n could see the person behind Maggie and it was him. Daryl Dixon....the charismatic man that Y/n wished to see again, the man she wanted to confess her feelings to, she wanted to tell him how much she loved him. without a second thought, she jumped into his arms. Daryl didn't seem to mind, he was happy to have the person he cared deeply about with him again. he held the younger woman tightly, not wanting to let go, as if she was gonna disappear and never come back.
After a while, he eventually let her go and looked into her (e/c) eyes. Daryl wasted no time and finally kissed y/n. the kiss was soft and tender, she could taste the cigarettes lingering on his lips. Despite that, it was the most incredible moment in her life. She felt a hand slide down to her hips, the other one holding the woman's neck. He held her so carefully, so lovingly as if she was fine china. they both wanted the kiss to last longer but needing to breathe, they had to pull away.
“That was…I-“ Daryl started but was immediately interrupted by Y/n.
“Shut the hell up Dixon! Now you listen to me…Since you came to the farm and spoke to me, my life has changed for the better. Because you made it better. I never thought I'd meet the man of my dreams in the damn apocalypse. And I never thought it would be you. Damn Daryl, when you showed up saying you needed advice on where to start looking first the little girl, I knew I was in love. And i never believed in love at first sight, but this? This was love at first sight. And I'm sorry that I didn't told you sooner, that I didn't tell you anything, but I love you. I really really love you and that will never change. And when I ran away from the prison, I mainly thought only of you. Because you were the person who understood me so much. No one understood me as well as you. Maybe that's one of the reasons why I'm so attracted to you, but. You. You are everything. I don't care if you're not enough, mean or some other shit you say about yourself. You, Daryl Dixon, are everything. And if you are willing and if you want and feel the same as I do, I'm ready to show you how awesome, important and enough you are for me. I freaking love you.” Y/n ended like that her long speech. Afraid of what is Daryl thinking now.
Daryl was looking at her now, frustrated and very clear about what he was going to do now. Even if he wasn't good with words, he was still sure that what he was going to say would be worth it.
“I am so very in love with you, Greene..” He said more quietly, blushing a little now too.
“Y/n I'm not good at…I mean uh at speaking. But now I'll try to tell ya what the fuck ya mean to me. When I saw ya slap that prick Shane, I just knew ya were the person I was missing in my life. Or when ya confided in me about how ya never consulted your mother, ya confided in me because ya trusted me and I confided in ya too. Because I trusted ya. And I will continue to trust ya. I've never cared for someone as much as I do now. And even if I'm not enough, for ya, the last one... I want ya to know that ya are my everything. .every time I look into your (e/c) eyes, I feel like i'm getting lost in a maze and your smile,..... And your smile, every time ya smiled I couldn't help but smile too...Y/n, I am so in love with you, fuck.” He said despite not being a talker, those were the most beautiful words that Y/n didn't expect to hear.
Y/n giggled, blushing at his words. never in a thousand years would she have expected for the Daryl Dixon to confess his love like this. both were on cloud nine, happy with the unexpected outcome..
“Just kiss me, asshole.”
And so he did….

They'll do whatever you ask. Anything you need. Anything you want. It's yours. They'll fulfill your every desire and whim. Give you the life you had always dreamed about.
And in exchange, you wouldn't just give them your soul. Oh, no. They weren't demons. What good was your soul alone when your purpose was better served alive and well? Your soul was nice, sure but it wasn't all they wanted. It wasn't all they needed. They needed your body, your mind. Your blood. You entirely. Every single fiber of your being was essential and would soon be theirs and theirs alone.
The moment you signed that contract, everything would change. For them and for you.
You just didn't know it yet.
And there was nothing you could do about it.

a/n: okay, okay, so i totally went into this as like a fun little side project, so i was and still am absolutely blown away by the support you all gave me for part one. like, i was not expecting that at all and just want to thank you all for all the love you sent my way and i'm so appreciative of you all. i totally planned on getting this part out sooner, but writer's block hit a little hard and i spent more time editing and rewriting than the first part due to the interest the part received. so, once again, thank you all so much and i hope you enjoy part two. :)

"You're really going to wait and pretend to leave when she gets here and then sneak your way inside?" Seonghwa's arms crossed, shifting his weight against the doorway to the front office when he saw San idling near the building's entrance. "Just so you can 'accidentally' bump into her and introduce yourself."
"Yup," San replied without any hint of shame, simply bouncing on the balls of his feet next to the entrance. "It's only right that I go out of my way to introduce myself since we will be living right next door to each other and make sure she knows I'll be right there if there's ever anything she needs."
"Oh, wow, really? Who would have known?" Wooyoung's voice floated out from further within the office, heavy with sarcasm. "It's not like you haven't rubbed that fact in about a hundred times by now."
"Shut up, Woo. We all know you, Seonghwa, and Yeosang are going to get to see her the most." San's smirk slipped. "After all, you are the ones who'll be getting to work with her."
"Perhaps, but why do I get the feeling someone will be abusing their power to tweak the schedules and benefit themselves." Wooyoung's voice grew louder as he left his desk and made his way to the doorway Seonghwa leaned against, stretching out the muscles in his back from sitting. "I wonder who that would be, huh?" His eyes narrowed in Seonghwa's direction.
"Well, I am the senior manager." The elder made no attempt to rebuke Wooyoung's statement, simply smirking at the implication.
"A title you only got by fucking age, you bastard." Wooyoung rolled his eyes. "And if I start to notice a trend, I'm going to tell Hongjoong someone hasn't been playing fair."
"And you don't think he's not going to use his seniority to influence her either?" Seonghwa asked, shifting his position against the doorway. "We might all be sharing, but that doesn't mean it won't come down to every man for himself when it comes to who gets to have her first. And we all know playing fair won't be a part of this game."
At the thought of finally having you, finally tasting you, San was unable to keep his fangs from growing as a newfound thirst took over. His tongue rolled over their sharpened points, the image of your body beneath him and the supple skin of your neck bare and exposed just for him, all but begging for him to take you, filling his head.
"It'll be a while until we fully get to savor her though," Wooyoung interrupted San's thoughts, taking note of the direction his mind had gone from the fangs that had extruded past his lips. "Yeosang says she reeks of him. It'll be a few weeks before we get his blood out of her system."
"What was it I said?" Yeosang interrupted their conversation when he suddenly rounded the corner from the stairs, a cup of tea in hand and looking like he had just tumbled out of bed with the messy state of his hair and the yawn that followed. "Oh," his face fell, "she's not here yet."
"Fucking hell," Seonghwa sighed, shaking his head. "You too?"
"Me too, what?" Yeosang cocked his head, an overtly innocent expression on his face as his thumb pointed to the mailboxes at his right. "I'm just here to get my mail."
"Dressed like that?" Seonghwa's eyes glittered dangerously as he took in the casual outfit Yeosang wore, the tight-fitting sweatpants and loose tank exposing his sides all but screaming for attention. For your attention. "And precisely," he paused to check the time on his watch, "two minutes before she's supposed to be here?"
"Precisely," Yeosang smirked and took a sip of his tea, making no further move to get his mail like he had claimed.
"And here I was thinking you were better than this."
"Then clearly you don't know me half as well as you think you do if you believe I'm going to waste an opportunity as this one." There was a slight edge to his tone, yet his expression remained playful, reminding Seonghwa and the others of the darker side beneath Yeosang's generally easy going attitude.
It had been a long time since someone had piqued his interest anywhere close to where you had, and his reaction only served to excite the others even more. If you had him this riled up, this eager for your attention, you must have been something quite extraordinary.
"I am the one who found her, after all," he quipped, leaning back against the wall behind him, "and I won't just stand aside to let the rest of you catch up."
"You didn't find shit, Sangie, and you know it." San shook his head, rebuking his statement. "She came to us, remember? Willingly. You just happened to be the lucky bastard who was working that day."
"Perhaps," Yeosang shrugged, "But that doesn't change the fact I was the one who convinced her to fill out the application and I'm the one she'll be thanking for helping her get accepted."
"God, why the hell did you give the open house to him?" Wooyoung whined.
"Because the one time I left you in charge of an open house, you ended up killing one of the attendees and then Hongjoong and I had to spend the rest of the day fixing things," Seonghwa answered, giving Wooyoung a pointed look. "And we all know Yeosang has the best sense of smell out of all of us, so it's only natural he's the one that picks. He hasn't failed us yet, has he?"
"It's a good thing I did it too because I highly doubt the rest of you would have been able to pick it out," Yeosang replied. "Sure, I was suspicious as to why another vampire's scent was all over her, but it wasn't until we were outside and the wind blew just right that I noticed the subtle hints of her own scent coming through. And trust me, there's no way she's not a-"
Yeosang was interrupted when the office phone began to ring, alerting them all to what was about to happen and ending their current conversation. In a matter of seconds, each man was moving towards the task at hand to ensure your first interaction with them was nothing but flawless.
Wooyoung collapsed into his chair, hurrying to press the button that would open the front gate for you, more than eager to finally see you face to face. He had seen the pictures Yeosang had snapped of you without your knowledge, and these had only added to his excitement, your beauty more than evident.
San kept his place next to the front door, checking his appearance one last time in the nearby mirror as he waited for the perfect moment to 'leave' the building and bump into you.
Yeosang took his time finding his mailbox, casually shifting through the few pieces it had contained while he waited for you to enter the building and have a chance to speak to you once more.
Seonghwa rolled his eyes as he strayed for just a minute longer, eyeing both of their childish antics with partial annoyance. He couldn't really blame them, not when this day was something each of them had waited centuries for. Not when this was something they had all begun to believe would never happen to them, all but losing hope someone like you would come walking into their life. If the roles had been reversed, he knew he would have been acting similarly to them, but today's events were important. What happened today would dictate your future with them and the last thing any of them needed was to fuck it all up because some of them couldn't be patient.
He knew their behavior wasn't really a cause for concern, however they might have annoyed him. You may have not been legally theirs yet, but you had sealed your fate the moment you had stepped into their domain and nothing you said or did would change that.
When neither one showed any intention of giving you space for the time being, Seonghwa sighed before following Wooyoung back into the office, taking a split second to check his own appearance in the mirror. Over the centuries they had been together, he had long learned there was little he could do to control any of the others. No matter what he said, they would do whatever it was they wanted and damn the consequences. Instead of concerning himself with their shenanigans, he needed to focus on the task he had been given and ensure you sighed the contract.
And you would. Willingly or not, it didn't matter. You wouldn't step a foot outside this building until it was signed. And if you showed any sign of hesitation, he would simply push you in the right direction with a little coaxing, your kind's mind weak and powerless to his power of persuasion. In the next few hours, you would sign your way over to them. He would make absolutely certain of it.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"Oh, sorry!"
You stepped out of the way as the door to the building swung open before you had a chance to find the button to buzz the office. A man stood on the other side, head and attention directed behind him as he finished up his conversation with whoever was back there before he left.
At your soft apology, he turned to face you and you had a hard time stopping your cheeks from tinting pink as you took in his features. He was beautiful. A few inches taller than you, black hair effortlessly swept back from his face, bringing full attention to his strong cheekbones and sharp jawline. All of which made it more difficult to control the blush blooming at the back of your neck. And when he smiled down at you and motioned for you to come through first, you knew there was no way your cheeks weren't at least a little bit pink by now.
"Thanks," you reply, returning a timid smile of your own before tucking your purse closer towards you and slipping past him inside.
"Oh, hey, y/n!"
Your gaze was directed past him and to the right when you entered, surprised to hear your name being called out. A man stood near the mailboxes, smiling and waving at you as he shuffled through his mail. It took a few seconds for you to recognize him, the addition of glasses and casual wear a stark difference from the man who had been your tour guide a little over a week ago.
"Are you here to sign the lease?"
"Yeosang, hi!" You returned the wave, unable to stop your eyes from momentarily roaming over the rest of his body and wondering how you hadn't noticed just how attractive he was before. "And yeah, I think so. I was told to come in and meet with Seonghwa to finalize everything."
"Oh, you must be the new tenant of 604 then," the man who had opened the door for you spoke up behind you, directing your gaze back towards him. "I'm Choi San. I live in the unit right next to yours, 603."
"Oh, hi." You hesitantly took the hand he had extended in greeting. This? This was who you would be living next to? God, you could already hear the jokes Felix would start when he found out who your new neighbor would be. "I'm l/n y/n. It's nice to meet you."
"Likewise," San replied, an easygoing smile still stretched across his features. "I'm also one of the people in charge of maintenance here, so please just let me know if you ever have any issues with anything and I'll be more than happy to help."
"Thank you. I'll keep that in mind."
You had to admit that having maintenance right across the hall from you was nice, but as sincere as his willingness to help seemed to be, you knew it would be a while before you ever approached him for any help. The last thing you wanted him, or any of the other workers here for that matter, was to think you would be taking advantage of them in any way. They had already done so much for you with the new job and new housing, the last thing you wanted was for them to think you were trying to wring more out of them. No, you would do your best to pay them back for the kindness they had shown you and ensure you weren't a burden on anyone. Ensure that you didn't need to depend on anyone anymore.
"y/n, I presume?"
You turned in the direction the new voice had come, finding yet another very attractive man around your age leaning against a nearby doorway. He appeared slightly taller than the other two, hair dyed a bright, startling white.
"I'm Park Seonghwa, the senior manager here at the Paradigm."
Shit.
This was Seonghwa? This was the man who would likely be serving as your new boss?
"Hi, yes, I'm l/n y/n." You nodded, making your way over towards him. "I'm so sorry I'm late. I had some issues getting a few of the documents you needed and then there was a wreck on my way here that slowed everything down."
And by issues, it seemed someone had conveniently forgotten to give back the key to your lockbox that you kept on your keyring. It wasn't until after nearly ransacking the apartment looking for it that you remembered you had stowed a spare key in your car a year ago that you were finally able to get the identification documents you needed without having to call your boyfriend and ask him where the hell he had taken it and raising unnecessary suspicion.
"Don't worry about it," Seonghwa waved your concerns away, motioning for you to follow him inside. "I had a few things I still needed to finish up for your arrival, so your timing is perfect."
"Oh, well, I'll still apologize nonetheless. I'm incredibly thankful for this opportunity you've given me here and I don't want you to think I'm taking any of it for granted."
"I assure you, it's fine," Seonghwa replied. "Things are pretty relaxed here for the most part, so no one's worried about a few minutes here or there. And it's not like I haven't had to drag Wooyoung or Yeosang out of bed before when they've slept through the first hour of their shift."
"You're one to talk, Hwa." Hearing his name mentioned, the other man inside the office spoke up, alerting you to his presence. His head was propped up in his hand and a teasing smile was directed towards the man in front of you. "Or have you forgotten how you missed half your shift the morning after your birthday last year."
"Like I said," Seonghwa's eyes narrowed back at him, but he didn't try to rebuke his statement, "we're fairly flexible around here."
"I'm Wooyoung by the way." The red haired man's eyes moved towards you. "We spoke on the phone earlier."
"Right." You nodded, returning his smile and fully realizing how much more awkward you would have felt in that conversation if you had known just who you had been talking to in that moment. "It's nice to meet you, Wooyoung."
With greetings out of the way, you followed Seonghwa to his desk in the back, sitting down in the chair he pulled out for you. As he began to go over everything pertaining to your time with them, you slowly began to relax. Despite being originally intimidated by his appearance and status, Seonghwa truly was nice. He was easy to talk to and just as it had been with Yeosang, you felt a pull towards him and could see yourself fitting in well here with them. Easily slipping into the casual workflow they had here, much less stressful than anything you had to deal with at your current place of work.
But before you got around to signing the multiple documents to seal everything in place, Seonghwa walked you down to the on-site clinic to get your blood drawn before the doctor on schedule closed for the day. The nerves that had previously been quelled by Seonghwa and the others' affable personalities slowly crept back at the notion of having your blood drawn. You had done your best to push the thoughts aside when Wooyoung had mentioned it earlier, but you had a hard time remaining calm as you followed him, your fear of needles beginning to get the best of you.
You didn't know what you had expected when Seonghwa mentioned Yunho would be the one to draw your blood today, but it sure as hell wasn't the tall, gorgeous man smiling at you when you entered the room. But then again, after everything else you had experienced here this far, should you really have been surprised by the real life equivalent of Carlisle Cullen - minus the vampiric qualities of course.
"Are you okay?" Yunho asked as he sat down on the stool next to you, taking the arm you extended towards him to begin prepping it.
"Yeah," you nodded, attempting to still your fidgeting nerves and praying you wouldn't come close to passing out like you had the last time you had been stuck. "I'm just not the biggest fan of needles, but it's fine." You were quick to add the last few words before he could say anything, not wanting him or Seonghwa who was still hovering near the entrance to the room to think you were trying to talk them out of this. "I used to give occasionally when I was younger, but then something must have happened because the last time I attempted to give, it didn't go well and I haven't been able to give since. I've wanted to start giving again though, so perhaps this is just the push I need to get over the fear."
You really didn't know what had happened to cause the fear. You had never liked needles before, but you had always been fine with them. It wasn't until two years ago that you had your first panic attack from them when you had gone in for your flu shot and very nearly passed out. And when you had tried to give blood a few months later, you had passed out and found yourself growing antsy at the mere thought of needles. You had no idea what had caused this sudden onset, having no bad occurrences with them in the past, but whatever it was, was enough to keep you avoiding them.
"Well, I assure you I will do my best to make this as quick and painless as possible." The smile he sent your way nearly had you melting in your spot and you felt your nerves begin to relax the slightest. "Just try and focus on me instead, okay?"
You nodded, unable to stop the blush that tinted your cheeks at his words, embarrassed at how your childish fear was playing out in front of him and all the more flustered by him because of it.
"So, y/n, tell me about yourself," he began in an attempt to distract you from the needle sliding in, but you still flinched, turning your head in the opposite direction. Looking at it was only going to make you more woozy than you already were. "What do you like to do?"
"A little bit of everything, I guess. When I have the time, I like to read, but with school and work, I don't have nearly as much time as I used to. I also enjoy both volleyball and skiing, but only really get a chance to do either of those during school breaks," you began, doing your best to focus on the conversation at hand and not on the fact there was a needle inside you at this moment, a thought that had you closing your eyes and sinking further into the chair. "And then I do quite a bit of art as well, which I suppose I would have to, seeing as I am getting a degree in graphic design."
"Seonghwa, I think we're all good here now. Feel free to head on back and I can walk y/n back to your office when we're done." Yunho diverted the conversation for just a second, turning his attention to the other male in the room before focusing on you once more. "You said you're getting a degree in graphic design. What do you want to do with that when you're done?"
"I'd love to work in the video game industry, but it can be a tricky field to get into and make a living off of, so who knows." You took a sip of the drink Yunho had handed you before he had begun, hoping the sugar from the juice would help keep your head level. So far, you were still feeling okay, but knew it could change in a second if you let your head dwell elsewhere for too long. "But my friend Felix is a computer engineering major and is also interested in gaming, so we've actually been working on creating our own game this past year. He handles all the coding and logistics, while I work on the artwork, animation, and story design."
"What's the game about?"
"Oh, well, it's still in pretty early development as neither of us ever have much time to work on it, but the gist of it is that you play as a character who has been transported to the middle of a giant labyrinth and must survive long enough to find a way out before it's too late. As you journey through, you'll find both enemies and potential allies and it's up to the player to decide just how you'll escape and who all will make it out with you. And with the labyrinth randomizing with each game, you'll be guaranteed a different playthrough each time. Or at least that's the goal."
It was hard to tell if Yunho was truly interested or not as you began to ramble on about your project, but his trick to get your mind off the matter at hand was working and you didn't dwell on the matter too long before you continued, unable to stop yourself from rambling with the nerves coursing through you.
"Felix also thought it would be cool if there was some form of romance in the game, so we've also recently started working on implementing some sort of relationship aspect to it. One which will not only allow you to form romantic relationships with the companions you meet along the way, but also friendships and enemies as well. So, if you end up making one of the npcs mad, you might just want to sleep with one eye open. Otherwise, you might just wake up with all your supplies stolen or a dagger to your throat depending on who you upset."
"And it's just the two of you working on it?" Yunho asked, to which you nodded. "That's impressive. It sounds very cool."
"You think?" You took a risk and turned your head towards him, attempting to gauge his response.
"Of course. It sounds like something I would enjoy playing." His eyes lifted upwards for a moment, giving you a reassuring smile.
"Oh, well, maybe I can show you what we have done so far sometime."
"I'd like that."
His smile was infectious and you couldn't hold back your own grin at his words before turning your gaze away once more. Was there anything about this man that wasn't perfect?
"Does that mean you like to play video games too?" you asked after a few moments, taking another sip of your drink to try and get a hold of yourself once more.
"Maybe not as much as some of the others here, but yes, I have played quite a bit over the years," he replied. "In fact, there's a group of us that usually gets together on Tuesdays for a game night. You should join us sometime when you're all settled in and feeling up to it. We'd love to have you, though I must warn that things can get heated at times. Some of us have a harder time taking a loss than others."
You laughed, knowing all too well what he was talking about. Your friend Felix also fell in that category of people. "Sounds like fun. I'll have to keep that in mind."
"And on that note, we are just about all done here," Yunho said as he applied a cotton ball to the crook of your arm to stop the bleeding before beginning to bandage you back up.
"What? Really?" His words surprised you, too distracted by your conversation to notice he had slipped the needle out already. "Wow, you're good. I didn't even feel it."
"Not so bad then?" he asked, collecting the vials of your blood and standing up to properly store them before they got sent off for testing.
"Well, considering I passed out the last time my blood was drawn, I'd say this was a vast improvement." You could feel the endorphins kicking in now that it was over, a huge wave of relief washing over you. "After that, I sort of stopped going around needles as a whole. My mother wasn't very happy when I stopped getting flu shots, but seeing as I haven't gotten sick in years, I'd say I'm okay."
"Here, why don't you eat one of these." Yunho extended a plate of cookies in your direction. "I didn't take too much since we just needed a sample, but you should still probably eat just in case, especially if you're going to be driving later."
"Did you make them?" you asked, taking one from the plate and giving it a try. "They're really good."
"No, sadly that credit has to go to Wooyoung. Despite how he may appear at times, he's actually a really good cook."
"Really?" Like Yunho said, this fact did surprise you. You hadn't pictured the playful redhead as someone who might have enjoyed cooking, let alone be good at it. But here you were. Was there anything about these men that weren't perfect? "I'll have to let him know if he's still around when I get back."
You waited there with Yunho until he was done putting everything away, taking the time to recover and sneak another cookie or two before getting back on your feet. Once you were good, and certain you wouldn't be passing out anytime soon, you followed Yunho back towards the front office when he had closed everything up.
You chatted idly with him as you went, finding him just as engaging as the others. When you arrived back at the front office, however, your attention was stolen by Wooyoung. You were too distracted by praising him for his baking skills that you didn't notice the additional male that had made his way into the room in your absence. It wasn't until you had finished up your brief conversation with Wooyoung and began making your way back to Seonghwa's desk that you finally noticed the man beside the senior manager. He was seated on the edge of the desk next to Seonghwa, and though his back was directed towards you, his head turned in your direction when he noticed your hesitant approach.
"y/n, this is Kim Hongjoong, the owner of Paradigm."
Once again, the introduction took you for a spin. Of all the mentions you had heard about the man, the person sitting before you was the very last thing you had ever imagined in your head. He looked no older than the rest of the occupants here, including yourself, making you wonder if he had inherited this place from a family member or bought it with a fortune he had inherited. It was the only two plausible explanations you could think of.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Kim." You had a hard time stopping yourself from wriggling in your spot as he took you in. Not just from knowing this man was the one responsible for your admittance here and his role as your boss, but also from his appearance, easily just as attractive as the other coworkers you had met up to this point. "I'm extremely thankful for the opportunity you've given me here."
"Please, just Hongjoong. Mr. Kim makes me feel old." He smiled, alleviating a bit of your nerves. "And after everything Yeosang and the others have had to say about you, we're all excited to have you on board with us here. I just came down to introduce myself and make sure Seonghwa had everything in order."
"I believe we've just about gone through everything." Seonghwa motioned for you to sit down. "All that's left is to sign everything and you'll be all set." He pushed a stack of papers alongside a pen towards you. "Feel free to scan through these, but all of it is just a reiteration of everything we've already gone through or just a part of the lease agreement attached to the email Yeosang had sent you earlier. I've also gone through for you and highlighted each of the sections you need to sign or initial to make things easier."
You nodded, taking the pen that sat on top of the stack before beginning to go through and sign the various documents. You briefly scanned through the first few pages before signing them, but upon seeing Seonghwa was right, and each sheet was just a repeat of everything you had already talked over, you eventually began to just skim through the pages in search of the areas Seonghwa had highlighted for you.
"I think that is everything," you began, finishing your signature on the last page and briefly flipping through the previous documents in search for any spot you might have missed before handing the stack back to Seonghwa across from you.
Seonghwa took a second to flip through the pages as well, double-checking your work. "It appears everything is signed and in order." He dropped the stack back on his desk before opening one of the drawers to his left. "Congratulations on your new apartment, Miss l/n." The object he had reached for was a small bag which he now extended towards you. "I know you said you wouldn't be able to move in or start until two weeks from now, but your unit is ready and everything is in order, so here are the keys to your apartment and mailbox, alongside the card you'll use to unlock the doors to the building and the sticker you'll need to put on your windshield to unlock the gate to the garage. So, feel free to come and go as much as you'd like until then because for all extents and purposes, you are now officially a resident of the Paradigm."
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"Felix, I swear to all things holy, this place is going to be the death of me." You could hear the laughter this statement elicited from your best friend through the car's speakers, and you had a hard time hiding your own flustered smile despite knowing he couldn't see it. "No, I swear, Felix, how the hell am I supposed to work and act normal when everyone around me looks like the physical embodiment of a god. We're talking Haneul level here, Felix. Haneul."
High on finally finding a place of your own, and at The Paradigm no less, you had gone up to see your new apartment one more time before you left. You had spent longer up there than you anticipated, fully basking in the realization that this was now yours and no one else's. Just yours.
It hadn't taken long for the thought to overwhelm you, causing you to break down in the upstairs bathroom for a few minutes. The realization you were finally getting out and starting over hitting you hard.
Once you had finally gotten a hold of yourself, you had taken a picture of the lower level with your newly acquired keys to the place and sent it to your best friend in order to update him on your decision. It had only taken a few seconds after you sent the photo for Felix to call you, nearly as excited as you were.
"Haneul level?" At the mention of the coworker the two of you had both been admiring from afar the last few weeks, Felix's voice took a slightly more serious tone as you were finally able to drive your point down to him. "All of them?"
"Well, all of the ones that I've met so far, but yes!" you cried, though the hint of a giggle did break through, still giddy from the day's events. "Now do you see my predicament?"
"y/n, I don't think that's a predicament," he began, "I think that's heaven. And as your best friend, I think it's only right for you to let me come see your new place in person... and perhaps these gods in the form of your new coworkers."
You giggled once more at the way Felix quickly spit the words out at the end, rushing them to make it harder for you to make out. "Well, Felix, you're in luck because I just so happen to need some help moving a few things into the place this Saturday."
"I thought you weren't moving in until the following weekend."
"I'm not, but I figured I could get some stuff done this weekend since Jae is still on weekends." Despite the joyous occasion, you still felt your spirits fall at the mention of your soon to be ex-boyfriend, wondering just how you were going to pull this all off successfully. "I thought I would go out and get some of the items I need and move them in so I don't have to worry about all of it the following weekend."
"And you still plan on keeping it all a secret from him until the last moment?"
"Yes," you sighed, running a hand through your hair and wondering just how you were going to make it through the next two weeks without letting anything slip. If you had it your way, you would have moved in today, but knew that wasn't a smart move to make, not when you planned to finish up your scheduled shifts at your current job. If you were to break things off with him now, you knew he would come find you and convince you to change your mind and go back with him. "I know it's not right, disappearing with little more than a note after all these years, but I'm terrified of what might happen if I try to tell him in person. You know what happened last time I tried, Lix. What if it happens again and I ruin everything I've finally managed to set up for myself."
The last time you had pulled the courage to end things, Felix had offered you a spot at his place until you got back up on your feet. Everything had been set up and packed, and yet, when you had stopped and told Jae what was happening when he came home from work that evening, he had flipped. You didn't remember much of what happened afterwards, but just as before, all your belongings had been put back up and away. He had been extra attenuative to you that following week, even calling out of work to spend more time with you, making you wonder for a moment why you had ever tried to break things off.
"I'm not judging you, n/n. The guy's a piece of shit and doesn't deserve a proper break up after all the shit he's put you through," Felix replied, taking note of your fallen mood. "You, however, deserve the fucking world, including this new start with your supposed godlike coworkers, and I swear if he tries anything to fuck it up, I will personally kill him."
"Thanks, Felix. I don't know what I would do without you," you mumbled back, comforted by his constant support and friendship. You truly didn't know where you would be without him. "But if I'm being honest, as attractive as these men may be, I think it's time to take a nice, long break away from any sort of relationship and focus on myself for a little bit."
Sure, they were attractive, but you truly didn't have any intention of acting on anything at the moment. And even if you did, the chances of them not already being in a relationship or even remotely interested in you was slim to none and setting yourself up for something that was never going to happen would only make you feel worse than you already did. Though time had numbed the pain, you knew you were hurting after years of being stuck where you were now. Pain that would quickly resurface if you attempted to bounce back into the dating game before you were ready. You needed time to heal, time to recover from the shit you had been put through these past years. And the only way you were going to do that was if you spent a good bit of time focusing on yourself.
And this might have been what happened if you were heading to some place normal, some place sane. If you hadn't just unknowingly signed your entire being over to the very men you were just talking about. Each of whom had no intention of letting you do anything on your own now that you were theirs.

So I watched Helluva Boss S2E6 "Oops" and let me tell you, it's better than Unhappy Campers, but it's also pretty mediocre too. So let's start off with the things I did like
Pros
Fizzarolli and Asmodeus's relationship
Fizzarolli and Ozzie's relationship is pretty adorable to look at, unlike Stolas and Blitzo's. They actually bounce off each other pretty well and are actually cute. Dick jokes aside.
I also like how Fizzarolli is sort of an advisor to Asmodeus's business related things, telling him what he needs to do for the day, and I also like how he tries to hide how other demons are starting to question whether or not their relationship is entirely lustful or actually romantic.
Asmodeus is very protective of Fizzarolli and respects whatever decision he makes. This is what Stolitz wants to be lmao.
Anyway, that's really the only thing I liked about this episode, now onto what I don't like
Cons
The intelligence of the characters
Most of the characters shown on screen are just dumb for the sake of moving the plot along.
Fizzarolli says he won't raise attention but then decides to raise attention in the Greed Ring where there are theives, bank robbers, and mob bosses.
Asmodeus, despite being one of the Seven Princes of Hell doesn't want to read a fucking contract. I get that he's impatient, but he's one of the Seven Princes and he's had to sign a contract AT LEAST ONCE in his centuries of living.
Striker and Crimson are just..they get distracted in a song where Fizzarolli is intentionally distracting them. I know Crimson is dumb as hell, but Striker and the rest of Crimson's mob? How am I supposed to take these antagonists seriously when they're stupid as hell?
Stolas
Stolas really had no reason being here since why isn't he in the hospital recovering from his injuries? How fast can demons regenerate if it has only been a week since Western Energy? That just removes even more tension even more for when certain characters take injuries because they can just heal from them at most a week later.
Stolas serves ZERO purpose to the plot. He barely does anything throughout this episode. Instead, he just gets all giddy at the sight of a stack of papers. He also says "get fucked little one" and I'm over here like YOU DID NOTHING SHUT UP.
In my opinion, they should've just let Asmodeus answer the phone call alone and read through the contract off-screen. Or have Asmodeus kill the lawyer and search for Fizzarolli while wandering around the Greed Ring.
The entire lawyer scene was pointless anyway because Asmodeus killed the lawyer in the end.
The Backstory
The backstory between Fizzarolli and Blitzo was...eh. I didn't really feel anything while watching the backstory because it was pretty predictable. While I was surprised that Blitzo admits that it was his fault (because when's the last time Blitzo took accountability)
I just could not feel sad for the life of me. And then, when Blitzo tries explaining, he's just interrupted. I'll get to the tonal shift of this episode later, but Blitzo says, "You have no idea what I lost in that fire". So Blitzo's mom died, and I'm wondering was Blitzo even aware that Fizzarolli was alive or not?
Because in Fizzarolli's perspective, Blitzo did see him but just ignored him. Not to mention, Blitzo somehow didn't acknowledge the fire when he bumped into Wally Wackford.
I'm damn sure Wally Wackford was screaming. Even then, Blitzo should've heard the flames go off, Blitzo should've seen the light of the fire in his peripheral vision, but he doesn't acknowledge it.
Blitzo's mom
Yeah, I'm counting this as a con. I don't feel bad that Tilla died because WE DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HER. She's the same as Moxxie's mom but with a name.
Are the mothers of male characters just supposed to fucking die? At least we got to see Moxxie's mom on screen. We never even saw Tilla in the first place aside from some fucking portraits.
Is this supposed to make me feel bad for Blitzo because he caused the fire, and I'm pretty sure Fizzarolli also had a good relationship with her, yet we never see his reaction to the death of Tilla either. Just Blitzo's and, to an extent, Barbie Wire's. Speaking of
Barbie Wire
Yeah, Barbie Wire wasn't really mentioned at all throughout this entire episode, not even in the flashback.
In the storyboard she did appear, but in the final version she just doesn't make an appearance for some reason. Vivziepop does not give a shit about their female characters
Fizzarolli forgiving Blitzo
Fizzarolli forgave Blitzo way too quickly in this episode. It doesn't make any sense that Fizzarolli forgave Blitzo, but Barbie Wire doesn't. Even though Barbie Wire has still been in contact with Blitzo.
Turns out Fizzarolli and Blitzo's hatred for each other was just a huge misunderstanding. Someone or something has prevented them from coming into contact with one another. They both keep saying, "But they told me" or "I never told them that" and who the hell is "they"? Just leaving out information for no reason at all.
Fizzarolli says, "It's hard to forgive you. It's been 15 years," but then he proceeds to forgive Blitzo near the end of the episode.
That's not how forgiveness works. Forgiveness takes time to go into effect it doesn't just happen when you hear a sob story.
Personally, I wouldn't have mind if FizArolli forgave Blitzo but not in the same episode where they're the main focused of an episode for the first time.
Convenient shit
Stuff just happens because it happens in this episode. Blitzo is at Greed because he wants breakfast and just so happens to meet Fizzarolli despite the fact that Crimson is still around.
Striker and Crimson coincidentally meet and are conveniently near Fizzarolli and Blitzo, allowing the two to get kidnapped.
A goon conveniently has anger issues and kills a large amount of his own crew allowing Blitzo and Fizz to escape
Striker and Fizzarolli are conveniently behind fucking gasoline WHY IS THERE PERFECTLY GOOD GASOLINE IN A DUMP?!
Fizzarolli's arms conveniently malfunction, so he can't escape the flames, so Blitzo has to save him.
It's just convenient stuff just so the plot can move along.
Tone issues
Can't be a Helluva Boss episode without tone issues. I don't feel like listing the examples because there are A LOT, but one major example I will put is Crimson blackmailing Asmodeus and at the end of it, one of his goons don't know how to hang up a phone or to stop a video.
This series can not have a serious scene if it saved its life.
Conclusion
I would comment on how Striker is just mischaracterized again through Blitzo calling him a supremacist or how the antagonists overall in this episode are dumb as hell. Or how this episode raises even more questions
But I believe those two deserve blogs by themselves. Anyway, thank you all for reading, and I hope you all have a nice day! ❤️
And I give this episode a 3.1/10

The gunshot rang throughout the woods, reverberating off of the trees. Birds flew off of trees, flapping their wings frantically as they retreated from the origin of the noise. Tucking his gun away and stretching out his back, Victor let out a long and exaggerated groan. Looking down at the body, he rolled his eyes, realizing he had to dispose of it. He sighed as he picked up the shovel he had brought with him. Observing the area, he tried to find a place that wouldn't be too difficult to dig. As he scanned around him, his eyes landed on a cottage just atop of the hill. If he hadn't looked closely, he would never have spotted it. Trees surrounded the entire area and the lush flora made it difficult to see. What looked to be a woman walked back inside after making eye contact with him.
"Shit. Don't go anywhere." He grunted, giving one last look to the body before going up the hill.
He tried to quicken his pace, not wanting the witness to escape. It would be hard to find them in the woods if they ran away. A slight breeze picked up as he made it to the top, pulling out his gun. Slowly but surely, he approached the front door. But, right before he was about to kick it open, he noticed that it wasn't even closed. Narrowing his eyes, he opened it up slowly, holding his gun up immediately after.
"Get on your knees." He ordered.
The woman turned around, the brown suspenders they wore flowed down into a short dress, a white blouse underneath it. Victor raised an eyebrow, confused at their calm demeanor. He felt a little uneasy.
"Can I help you with something?" She asked.
Victor furrowed his brows, unsure of how to respond. He let out a sigh, scoffing afterwards. The gun in his hand was gripped tightly, not moving away from the person in front of him.
"Lady, you do realize I'm pointing a loaded gun at you, right?" He asked.
"Yes, I do. But, I'm confused as to why." She replied.
Victor rolled his eyes.
"You saw me kill that man. Can't have any witnesses."
"I see. Well, does it look like I have anyone to tell about it?" She asked, gesturing to where she lived.
He didn't respond, keeping the gun pointed at her. Y/n sighed, turning away from him. Victor raised an eyebrow, watching what they did.
"Well, how about I finish making some soup and then you can decide whether you still want to kill me or not, ok? It's vegetable soup. It's all fresh from my garden." She suggested.
Victor laughed, putting his gun away.
"Listen, ma'am. Flattery isn't going to help you." He said, sitting down at the table.
"I can assure you I am not trying to flatter you, Mr. Zsasz." She replied.
His face was neutral.
"Yes, I know who you are. Just because I live out here doesn't mean I don't go to the city every once in a while."
"Then why didn't you run away?" He asked, genuinely curious at this point.
Y/n giggled softly, grabbing a ladle from a hook on the wall. With her other hand she grabbed a bowl. Filling it halfway with the soup, she grabbed a spoon from a drawer and put it in the bowl. She placed it on the table, sliding it over to him. He scoffed, shoving it away. Y/n rolled their eyes, grabbing another spoon. She used it to take a sip of the meal, as if to show him it wasn't poisoned. Rolling his eyes, he started to eat the soup.
"I didn't run away because I knew you wouldn't kill me." They responded simply.
"Oh, really? And what makes you think that?" He asked.
"Well, I'm still alive, aren't I?" She asked, a humble grin on her face.
Victor chuckled lightly, shaking his head. Taking another sip of his soup, he placed the spoon back in the bowl. Y/n, not feeling too hungry, walked to a window. Victor watched as they watered on of the plants with a small watering can.
"I suppose you aren't much of a threat. Oh, which reminds me..." He trailed.
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his pocket knife. Swiftly, pulled up the sleeve of his shirt. Y/n glanced at the various scars, wincing as she watched him carve a tally mark onto the exposed skin of his forearm. Y/n sighed, grabbing a handkerchief from a pocket in their dress. Victor continued to eat as if nothing happened. However, he flinched when y/n touched his arm gently.
"May I?" She asked.
"Dude, do you have a death wish?" He asked, glaring at her.
Y/n ignored him, using her handkerchief to dab up the blood trickling down his arm. He rolled his eyes, eating his soup as she did that. Y/n laid the cloth over the wound, walking to a cabinet in their kitchen. Victor watched curiously as the rummaged through various glass bottles. Grabbing one, y/n walked back over to him and crouched down, rubbing a paste on the cut. Victor pulled out his gun quickly, placing the barrel directly against their forehead.
"It's just some aloe mixed with basil. The aloe will soothe your skin and the basil will help fight any infections. It's better to be safe than sorry. And, I'd rather not have you drip blood on my furniture." She said softly.
Victor hesitated, slowly putting his gun back in his holster. He looked down at her, casting a shadow over her body. He had no idea how to respond to this random act of kindness from a stranger he had intended to kill. Y/n stood up fully, smiling at him.
"Even hitmen need to take care of themselves, Mr. Zsasz. It would be a rather anti-climactic for a hitman to die of infection. Don't you think?"
Victor nodded softly.
"I suppose you're right." He answered curtly.
Y/n sighed softly, straightening out their dress. Victor watched as she put the bottle of paste back into the medicine cabinet they had. He honestly had no idea what to do anymore. This random girl was really throwing him off.
"Do you still want to kill me, Mr. Zsasz?" She asked.
"I'm not so sure anymore..." He trailed.
"Oh really? And why is that?" She asked, reminding him slightly of his words from earlier.
"Because you're kind of freaking me out." He stated.
Y/n giggled, walking towards the table again. Reaching down, she picked up his soup bowl, seeing that it was empty. She smiled, dimples showing on her cheeks. Victor couldn't help but keep his eyes on her at all times. Y/n placed the bowl in her sink, washing it quickly and drying it with a rag. She placed it back in the cabinet, turning back towards him.
"I'm glad you liked the soup. I was worried I didn't season it enough. Everything I cook with I gather out here. Well, with a few exceptions for trips to the city. For there are some things I cannot find out here." She explained.
Victor cleared his throat, looking towards the front door of her cottage. He rubbed the back of his neck with a gloved hand. Y/n noticed, nodding her head.
"You are free to go whenever, Mr. Zsasz. I'm not holding you captive. Are you holding me captive?" She asked.
"No. I'm not."
"Well, that's a relief. If you need a place to bury the body, there is a patch of sweet peas just a little ways left from here. I'd appreciate if you buried it there, they'll cover up the smell." She suggested, lighting a few candles around their cottage as the night got darker.
"Hm, alright..."
"I hope you make your way back to the city safely, Mr. Zsasz."
"Thank you, Ms...?" He asked.
"Y/n."
"Y/n, ok then. Um, maybe I'll come by for another bowl of soup sometime soon."
"Well, you know where to find me."

So I was taking a look at the World's Perdition text for a Sothis fanfic I'm writing and I have to wanted to get your thoughts on something (sothis expert that you are)
The Agarthan talks about how they nuked 4 lands in their preemptive attack on Sothis. When I first read this I assumed they did this all in one go, but thinking on it it doesn't make too much sense. Unless they were worried about Sothis using some god magic to teleport out of the way (which, fair all things considered) they would have no reason to nuke FOUR cities/regions/countries at once. Sothis can't be that big that they needed to bomb all four to cover her.
So unless they were worried about her teleporting, that must mean they did this four separate times. Which means Sothis got f**king nuked, went to another city, and had this interaction:
Sothis: yo wtf just happened? Who nuked an entire city? Do you know how many people got murdered?
Leader of that city: um, well you see. The thing is... can you wait just one minute?
Leader dude (off to the side): guys you screwed up. The false god lived through the nuke.
Agarthan in a different city who has keys to the nukes: what do you mean she survived? Thinis got wiped out. The land vanished. She can't be alive.
Leader dude: well she right in front of me, asking what happened, so someone screwed up. Teleport me out of here and try again!
Then they nuke city number 2. And Sothis, again, survives and goes wtf. Presumably has that exact same conversation. Gets nuked again and yet again goes to another city to figure out why these people are killing their own cities, wiping out thousands at least. And then it happens again!!!
Like, no wonder Sothis is pissed. They did this to her four times! And it never worked!
Also!!! The book never actually states Sothis flooded the world. Only that the Agarthan expected her to. Which, given that they nuked her four separate times, I can't blame him for thinking. But they got the f*ck out of dodge before finding out so it's possible Sothis got nuked four times, found out the perpetrators went underground, and proceeded to shrug and coma herself to heal the world. It even lines up with Rhea's dialogue in Verdant Wind. Or the flood was her extinguishing the flames from the pillars of light, like the ones in that one fire canyon whose name I can't recall, and it was never meant to kill anyone. After all, the Agarthans literally nuked four of their own cities. There might not be that many left standing or they just got mixed with the humans Sothis creates to repopulate Fodlan after four lands got nuked while TWSITD stayed underground.
I've been trying to figure out how to write about the extreme nature of Sothis' divine retribution against the Agarthans as being unjust for attacking the whole for what may be the actions of a few (or just a particular cult), but it might've not happened in the first place!
Am I reading this wrong? I never thought TWSITD had any leg to stand on, but I was willing to entertain the idea that Sothis went too far with her counter attack in driving them all underground. It also gave a good parallel to Rhea being better in sparing the Elite's families which would show that she's ready to guide Fodlan in Sothis' place, but Sothis might not have even done that!
(Of course I haven't taken a look at Hopes if it confirms the flood actually happening, but I'm alright with ignoring that mess with what it did to... so many characters)
Lmao I really am the sothis expert now huh
Have you read my longer posts about the "Ancient History of Fodlan"? I talk about the war between Sothis and the Agarthans with my thoughts on what happened. There is also some speculation on what the "Flood" really was. I do think Sothis went scorched earth on the Agarthans.
In terms of the Agarthans nuking Sothis and her surviving, there are several possiblities;
Sothis's dragon form really is that big that they need to blow up 4 countries to cover her.
They nuked her 4 seperate times like you suggested.
They also targeted lands with Nabateans in them out of spite.
They tried to nuke Sothis but some weird magic forced them away to different countries, much like Aillel.
Their aim sucks lol
Though.. I am not sure which one it is. The wording of the text makes it sound like the nukes were fired at the same time, and that Sothis still stood when several countries had been blasted off the map.
Personally? I think 1, 3 or 4.
But if you're writing a fic, don't worry too much about how canon you are to the lore. It's very vague and up to interpretation. Your thoughts are just as valid as mine.

Here by my continuation of live reaction to fic Random Tales of Drakgo by @gothicthundra from chapter Pride and Falls to chapter Locked In.
I'll admit that I'm already at Ungrateful Ark. I kinda gulped the Villains resort in one go, I was so immersed into it ^^' so I'd need more time to well... To structure overall thoughts
Fails and Pride
This awkwardness… guys, please just *talk*. Nature gave you mouths and brains. At least some shared braincells.
I love how slowly those two moved closer to one another during Worst Villain Fails. Mortification over their own mishaps, marvelous and the best way to bond once again Xd
OMG DRAKKEN THAT NO NO 🤣🤣🤣 DREW, YOU'RE AWFUL OTL OH this frazzled my game. Oh god. I HATE THAT JOKE 🤣🤣🤣

Nah, Dr D its a cool song!
Picture....
Yeah, I'm not entirely sure those were from the gauntlets alone, my guy.
........ I've seen the illustration of this moment and I still think that either Carmen Sandiego needs to wear that coat more often or Drakken needs to take of his top part more... *sips tea*
This... Idk why but Drakken interacting with Wegos and Mego is giving me such a dose of serotonin. Especially them getting along. And yes, that slang is awful. Teach them, D!
Poor Shego. All nerves, awkwardness and overthinking. But he was just talking about Wegos.
YAAAY they are back!
Seriously (>:( Eddie, curse you ), I wish that we got an actual episode of how those two solved their issues during after whole Mad dogs and Aliens
BED TIME STORIES
.... And there was only one bed 🤣
“What if I wake up spooning her...” daaaw
I am laughing so hard at Shego's turmoil
Ok I'm laughing more at how she feels offended over pillow wall.
Yes, he was concerned over spooning, Shego.
Why is this Spongebob and Squidward moment with that wall?
He admitted it! Hallelujah!
Hehe time to share stories
.... You know with this sleepover and them being like little girls and how previously Shego helped him with make up....... I think I know what a perfect meme to use in my next drawing
;-; babies, I knew I just *knew* I'll get all soft on the babies in the baby era. THANK YOU JASPER YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE ;-;

Locked in
One of the chilliest chapters and it is nice to get one after all that happened even if I know that retreat arch has its own thing going.
Heh, those two are such accidentally prone dorks
More reactions to come. And hopefully more thoughts this time

I love your story so much. It’s really the only story I’ve read that has such a balanced view of both the blacks and the greens.
I have one question:
I know Daemon loves Aemond, but Daemon is a hardcore Valyrian supremacist and he’s always despised the Hightowers and the Faith of the Seven. I can’t see him ever truly liking Alicent, Aemond’s mother even when the whole family is (hopefully) reunited again.
In the show Daemon seemed very pissed off about Alicent taking down the Targaryen heraldry and literally called her a whore of a queen when he learned of the usurpation. I can’t see him ever truly liking or forgiving her but only really tolerating her for Aemond’s sake. What do you think?
aww thank you! yes, i am a firm team black AND team green apologist haha. all of these characters are very near and dear to me!
this isn't something that's been much of a sticking point so far, namely because aemond hasn't really had to deal with daemon and the greens interacting with each other. but it'll come more to the forefront once daemyra & co are settled into king's landing and we actually have the blended family situation going on.
daemon's blood supremacy originates from four different areas within his psyche: (1) his duty to keep his culture alive, (2) his idolization of viserys, (3) his desire to protect his family, and (4) his genuine belief that you are stronger/more magical if you have more targaryen blood. we're going to rip points 2 and 4 out from under him entirely in this fic.
how will daemon reconcile his beliefs with the fact that it's alicent's children, who technically have weaker blood, who seem the most magical? aemond, helaena, and jaehaera all exhibit dreaming abilities, and ofc now aemond has a second dragon. compare this to the fact that zero (0) members of team black are dreamers. how does this fit in with his belief system? hint: it doesn't, and it's going to complicate things for him. he won't be able to hate the greens just because he thinks they're lesser from a valyrian standpoint.
and how will he reconcile his belief that the greens mistreated viserys with reality once he's faced with daily reminders of the ways in which viserys ruined his family's lives? certain someones (cough cough aegon cough cough) are going to be very outspoken about the ways in which viserys fucked all of the greens over. of course, daemon's going to try to ignore this, but once aemond gets involved it'll be much harder for him to, because he does genuinely respect and believe aemond. a big part of why daemon hates alicent in particular is because he sees viserys as her victim, and realizing it's always been the other way around will make it harder to hate her for it.
so i think the destabilization of daemon's valyrian supremacy and of his worship of viserys will make him much more receptive to the greens. you're right that he's always going to have a certain level of disdain for the faith of the seven and for house hightower in general, but i genuinely think that only represents like 5% of his hatred for alicent. the other 95% will be dealt with!

Do you think Crowley has a dominion type of UM?
With the last post of it from @prince-kallisto it really got me thinking about it.
If he is maintaining wonderland, and probably encapsulating it or maintaining the bubble it is in. Then is he capable of sending Yuu back on his own or does he still need those variables (seeing as your theory is that he is the Twst mad hatter, just raven flavored. Mickey the dorm mouse, Silver was the mad hare if I remember correctly)
Then did he just open up a part of wonderland through the mirror and send the black carriage to bring Yuu. Accidentally killed them, and they just reanimated them but without their soul, and that’s why the mirror says that Yuu is empty….
Does that mean Yuu could die if they go back? Because Crowley is keeping them “alive” by their own magic, because he said “Nah, they ain’t dead here” and because magic is shaped by imagination and it’s Crowley twisted wonderland or he is maintaining it….
And when Yuu’s purpose in this play is over they just die or something worse.
Am I just going too much on the edges about this or?
Hello! Sorry for a long reply. Since you seems like having so much questions in one ask, let's break it down:
"Do you think Crowley has dominion type of UM?"
Though that post does mention about Crowley maintaining Twisted Wonderland, I still have a different opinion about it. If it's me (who usually based my analysis on Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass), that Realm Dominance magic isn't his magic but rather, the real Maleficent's blessing from the real Maleficent herself which her image was reflected in the mirror when the very first time we played the game. So when he said "flower of evil", it's to summon Maleficent herself because she is "Mistress of All Evil". He was simply "borrowing" her magic and used it on Yuu.
But how can he "borrow" it? This is where his real UM comes to play. Since he is a Hatter from Through The Looking Glass, his UM is called "Perspective" which is actually based on Mad Hatter from live action Disney game.
This "Perspective" with mirror as its medium can do two things:
1. Visualize pictures/images into reality (he did it to make the magic coming from Maleficent's reflection in the dark mirror into reality)
2. Wrap Yuu through the Dark Mirror onto the other side of Yuu's world
About the second one, what he warped wasn't Yuu's body but rather, their soul. But how it can be like that and how "exactly" did he do it? This will have something to do with Dormouse (the sleeping mouse) riddle and the rabbit hole riddle from Alice in Wonderland (which I'll going to explain another time)
You can read more explanation about this "perspective" UM here
"Is he capable of sending Yuu back on his own or does he still need help?"
For this it will entirely depend on Yana how she will create the story. But based on my analysis there are 3 possibilities:
1. Crowley would still need the variables, with someone representing as "time" to break the loop (in this case it's Yuu themselves because in Mad Tea Party, Mad Hatter can finally measure mathematicaly when Alice comes using her age which is 7). This is if she follows the Alice in Wonderland one
2. Crowley doesn't need help, but he will not do anything either. Because eventually they will go back to their own world once they defeat Grim. This one is based on Through The Looking Glass where Alice defeated Red Queen to go back to her own world, which later this Red Queen turns out to be her own black cat named Kitty. Personally this second possibility is what I think twst is close to, with Grim has the role of both Red Queen and Red King. Though this does raise another question what is Crowley's intention for doing this (which admittedly I still don't know up to this point)
3. Ace and Deuce will help Yuu to "break that world triggered by Crowley's magic"
This is due to the fact that both Ace and Deuce are trump cards from their respective decks of French deck and German deck which technically can overthrow the structure that maintains wonderland.
"Did Crowley accidentally killed Yuu and reanimated them but without their soul?"
Based on my own analysis, Crowley didn't kill Yuu but more like it's really their time to go and he is more like just doing his task as the personification of time. (this again refers to the Mad Hatter from mythological perspective). The hint is there in his bio about his favorite food, but I will explain that some other time.
The reason why Dark Mirror can't identify Yuu's soul is because it's already their soul that's coming to Twisted Wonderland. Because their real body is in their own world.
So when Yuu's role in Twisted Wonderland is over, they will go back to their own world and wake up from their dream, much like how Alice is going back to her own world in both Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass.

The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, Episode 11 - The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, Part 1
So, for clarity, this is Haruhi content but it's not Disappearance because Disappearance is the movie that closed out Melancholy. This is Disappearance the series, but it's specifically the Disappearance arc of Disappearance the series, not to be confused with the Disappearance movie.
Check. Weirdly enough, both show title and episode title are entirely different contexts that both make sense and are meaningful in different ways.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the end of the previous episode, I asked,
"WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR BRAIN
EMOTE YOU USELESS ROBOT"
She is now telling us what is happening in her brain and I am still lost. I thought before that maybe she was running some kind of backup of her original program but now it seems like she was just... wiped. Like somehow her new Escapist Yuki persona got deleted in the car crash and she's just... rebooted at factory settings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Are we going to get to see Factory Reset Yuki opine about all of her friends? Because I'm down for that. Can't wait to see her shit-talk Haruhi in strictly clinical terms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's okay, Nagato Yuki's just as perplexed so you're fine. The practical difference between Anxiety Disaster and Unfeeling Robot is marginal.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean. In this reality, yes. I'll grant you that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At least Factory Settings is coming right out with it. Now that she's been confronted, she isn't going to withhold anything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ryoko is taking this way better than I am. She's sitting there like, "Well, this is weird and I do want to get the old Yuki back but this version of Yuki's existence is equally valid, and it's not my place to make judgments about which Yuki is correct."
Meanwhile I'm over here like "DEATH TO THE INTERLOPER RESTORE OUR YUKI" because I was invested in her journey and want it to continue.
See, this is why Ryoko isn't my character. Haruhi is. Ryoko is a way better person than me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What we in the medical field refer to as "Panicked so hard she reset to factory settings."
Oh hey, I can actually say that because I work in the medical field! ...in accounting.
Tumblr media
Again, I love that we aren't making any effort to hide this. Her factory reset is not a secret to everybody. It's a medical condition that our friend just got hit with. It's being handled as such.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Every time they say stuff like this, it makes me afraid that this might be permanent. And I have. Very confused feelings. About that.
Because I wanted Yuki to have nice things, and if Escapist Yuki never comes back then all that time spent rooting for her just... fizzles. It would effectively be a character death for our main protagonist, as her body and memories remain alive but her personality and identity and hopes and fears are all dead.
But it's not less transformative, going from Escapist Yuki to Factory Reset Yuki, than it was going from Original Flavor Yuki to Escapist Yuki. It's functionally the same. Yuki lives on but has metamorphized into a new state of being.
And then the LGBT part of me is like, "Is this trans?"
Like. There's parallels to when a person comes out as trans, and everyone around them has to put aside their previous interpretations of that person and accept the new reality.
But it's. Not exactly the same, either, because those interpretations are a falsehood while both versions of Yuki are presented here as equally valid. Coming out as trans doesn't fundamentally change who you are; Only how you are perceived by others. The part that went bon still goes kyu; It's just that other people didn't understand before how it goes kyu, and now they do.
For Yuki, the part that went bon no longer goes kyu.
But that's also. Like. Part of how life works too? People change. Sometimes, as you get older and have new experiences, the part that went bon stops going kyu. That's just part of life.
I don't know. Very complicated feelings right now.
Tumblr media
She's made her way back over to her houseplant corner. Yuki is once again a room decoration.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AAAAAAAAAA He is trying so hard but she is a houseplant again. This is killing me. T_T
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TRY HARDER
I WILL SHAKE YOU
Tumblr media
XD Okay, for real, Factory Settings Yuki intaking a slice of toast like a paper shredder nuked a lot of the tension and inexplicably has me feeling a lot better about this development.
Amazing tension-killer. Okay. I'm fine. I will live. I can be patient and see where this is going.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
T_T The part that went bon no longer goes kyu.
Tumblr media
Factory Settings over here is starting to... fill in over time. She admitted to being embarrassed earlier. She enjoyed helping Kyon with his homework.
It's unclear if the Escapist Yuki identity is regenerating or if Factory Settings is simply growing into being an emotional human being, but she is starting to develop back into a three-dimensional person as the days pass.
I'm still nervous and freaked out and everything but seeing this blank Yuki start to grow into her humanity once more has put me more at ease. I'm no longer at "DEATH TO THE INTERLOPER".

Ravidasan and Soman Sambavan at Tanjore, just before Ravidasan leaves for Kadambur
"What about Maduranthaka Thevan, then?" "Let him stay alive if he wants. It will be a good thing if an imbecile like him sits on the Chozha throne for some time. The Pandya Emperor has to come of age, isn't it?"

Soman Sambavan meeting Maduranthakan and recognising him as Veera Pandyan's son
I was wandering around the garden . . . He approached me and said, “Prince! I've come here with the sole purpose of seeing you. Periya Pazhuvettarayar and Kandan Maran sent me to fetch you. A big army is getting ready to support your claim to the throne." I became quite suspicious of him.
I replied, ‘Why should I come out if there's a big army waiting there? Why can't they come here, defeat the Kodumbalur forces and place me on the throne?’
“Prince! That's not all there is. There's a dangerous secret connected with your birth. No one else will dare to tell you about it, but I will,’ he said.
‘In that case, come, we'll leave at once,’ I said.
To which he replied, ‘I have to give the Prime Minister a piece of news. Let me first go and tell him, while you stay hidden in the tunnel.’
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Aha! Who was that fellow in Sundara Chozha's garden who said he would tell me the secret of my birth? . . . While making an attempt to kill Sundara Chozhar, he killed that mute woman. He cannot be blamed.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: The New King
When Chinna Pazhuvettarayar fell into the chasm, cries of 'Long live Amarabhujanga Nedunchezhiyan!’ rose above the noise of the falls.
Imagine Soman Sambavan sharing his exciting discovery with Ravidasan
Ravidasan: Soma, how did the mission go?
Soman : Failure, as usual. What about you?
Ravidasan: Success 😁😁
Soman : What? (Hugs Ravidasan) Yay! Yay! The sinner who took the head of Veera Pandyar is dead. Yay! Yay! Did she do it? Really?
Ravidasan: Well, I am not sure. All those fools were behaving like they haven't met a woman in their entire lives. Hiding, shouting, pleading, crying, choking each other . . . She too was screaming her lungs out. Anyway, our meen-vaal pierced his evil heart. I saw it with my own eyes.
Soman : Oho! Now listen to this. I might not have killed the usurper but I discovered our lost treasure.
Ravidasan: In Lanka?
Soman: God! No! How do I explain this? There is one more - an adult man, the heir to our throne, no, no, I mean, our Emperor. That mute woman has two children.
Ravidasan (gasping) : Explain
Soman: Ravidasare, think. What was the reason for Veera Pandyar's confusion? How did we recognise Nandini Devi? The mother and children look like they were cast in the same mould. You just have to meet him once.
Ravidasan : Did he come there in search of his sister? Why didn't you bring him with you?
Soman: There is a small problem. You see, our Emperor is . . . is . . . how do I say this? Maduranthaka Thevanrrr. Yes, Maduranthaka Thevar is Veera Pandyar's and the mute woman's son.
Ravidasan: Get lost!
Soman: I know, we have to find a new name for him. You just have to see him once. Just once. That woman . . . what did she tell us? Girly? Idiot? Idiots are those blind morons. How come they didn't realise that she looks like our Emperor in a longer wig?
Ravidasan (to himself) : Perhaps that's why they sent her away and never let him come out. (Aloud) If what you are saying is true, the mute woman won't trouble us anymore. Any woman will support her own son over her cheater ex's son.
Soman : Yeah, about that . . . She had to jump in between and spoil everything. She couldn't have survived.
Ravidasan: Good riddance. WHAT! Oh no!
Soman : Don't worry about that. I am willing to accept any punishment our Emperor decides. That will console Devi too. Don't tell her anything now. (They don't know that Madu doesn't give a damn about Mandakini's death)
Ravidasan: Hell! Even yesterday, I told Paramu that she is Veera Pandyar's consort. First things first. We need to retrieve the Emperor and convince him. Then make arrangements for your execution. The little Emperor will stay hidden untill we can be sure of his safety.
Soman: We only have to give a hint, he will come running.

Chapter 21 of Harrow the Ninth
So now, in Harrow's false memories, Palamedes and Camilla have died, another two characters who survived (or presumably will survive, since I refuse to believe that Palamedes is gone forever) died in Harrow's memory, while two characters who died, Dulcinea and Protesilaus, are alive in Harrow's memories. And I really think they actually are Dulcinea and Protesilaus in this scene - Dulcinea knows about her relationship with Palamedes (although she seems remarkably unbothered about his death at the beginning of the scene) and Protesilaus is quoting poetry just like Naberius expected that he would back in Gideon the Ninth. Also, Protesilaus does entirely too much talking in this scene to be dead, and Dulcinea is all "I want to help fight the monster too, I don't feel that bad actually" instead of how Cytherea was like "woe, I am on the brink of death, hold me in my last moments, Gideon, I think the Fourth teens were lucky to die actually". So did Cytherea not replace Dulcinea in Harrow's memories? Was she just hiding in the facility as the Sleeper in this version of events? If so, how did she get to Canaan House? Anyway, the fact that Harrow in this memory claims to never have talked to these two at all explains why she said at the beginning of this book that she had never talked to Camilla, and didn't know her last name, which is indeed never mentioned in dialog in this scene but is mentioned multiple times in the narrative, although now I'm wondering why Harrow didn't think "didn't she die?" when she saw that letter. I wonder how far this swapping of dead people and living people will go here, like obviously Ianthe can't have died in Harrow's memories, and Naberius can't have survived
Tumblr media
I'm wondering why he reacts this way? The rest of his reactions you can just put down to him disapproving of Seventh poetry, but this is long before the poetry comes out
Tumblr media
I guess with Palamedes and Camilla gone, Magnus and Abigail replace them in this version of the story as the token sensible people
Tumblr media
Interesting, I wonder why Abigail thinks Mayonnaise Uncle will listen to Dulcinea in particular. He didn't seem too fond of Cytherea in the last book when everyone thought she was Dulcinea, or at all moved to pity by her illness
Tumblr media
"Any leftovers" is a funny way for Abigail to say "the Fourth teens", since everyone else is either present, dead, or being summoned by someone else
Tumblr media
Now the characters in Harrow's memories are actually answering the question of "is this how it happens". It sounds like she's asking Abigail if she knows how this version of events goes, or if the original version of events was any better
Tumblr media
This feels like a reference to something in particular, like, beyond the close relationship that the three of them had, but I don't know what it could be
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, something is missing
And the piece of flimsy that Gideon found and gave to Palamedes, which he put in his pocket, is also in these memories, except this time is says:
Tumblr media
This is kind of interesting, just because I don't think Harrow ever even knew about the existence of that flimsy in Gideon the Ninth, although I guess she may have learned some things that Gideon knew after she became a Lyctor
Once again, I do not know what this means. Does "you two mummified wizard shits" mean this is addressed to two people and not one? Suns don't usually cast shadows, even Dominicus as a thanergenic star doesn't. Did the long-lost natal sun become a black hole or something? Why is it lost, where is this person from? I think the BOE people were originally from Earth, but I guess they might well consider the sun lost from their perspective and might consider it to be casting a shadow if they're against necromancy on principle
Also, why is the actual contents of the flimsy that S that everyone drew constantly in middle school? I honestly have no idea what that S even signifies in our world, let alone in the Locked Tomb universe, I legitimately think it was just fun and easy to draw and that's the whole entire story behind it. Then again, the actual contents of the last note that Harrow read was equally irrelevant
Tumblr media
Does Ortus know that Harrow opened the Tomb in this version of events? Or does he have some other reason to suspect that Mortus was ordered to commit suicide? In Gideon the Ninth, Gideon said that the only people who knew that Harrow's parents were dead were her, Harrow, Crux, and Aiglamene. But I guess in this version, Harrow actually told Ortus that she was schizophrenic, which was previously something only known by Crux, so maybe she told him about the Tomb and her parents, too. Although, based on what Ortus's mother was saying at the beginning of Gideon the Ninth, it sounded like she blamed Harrow's parents for Mortus's death for some reason, and felt like them sending Ortus to the Lyctor trial where she was sure he would die was similar to that, so it could be that Ortus and his mother had some other reason for believing this even though they didn't know that Harrow's parents were dead, or why
Tumblr media
So I guess this means that, within the fictional context of this false memory, these needles are real and not a hallucination. Maybe we'll find out what's going on with them in the next false memory section, because I got nothing

go on, claim my heart: chapter four
see my masterpost for what came before this. inspired by @romeoandjulietyouwish's medieval au.
Vex walks briskly back toward the castle, mentally reciting the list of things she needs to tell her lieutenant to prepare him for her absence, but she slows when she hears a second pair of feet crunching behind her. She turns and waits for Percy to catch up, but he doesn't appear to notice her, his eyes staring unblinking downward as he trudges in the direction of the castle. Vex watches, stunned, as he passes her, and she shakes herself to start running after him. "Percival. Percival!"
He doesn't stop walking, but he at least acknowledges her presence with a small hum when she catches up to walk beside him. "Percival, why didn't you tell me?"
He won't look at her, and it's driving her mad. "What was there to say? I was a boy when it happened. It was so long ago."
"Hey." She grabs his arm and yanks him to a stop. His nostrils flare in a huff and finally, finally he looks at her. His eyes are dark, stormy seas, and she wishes she could see what churns in his head. "I don't care if it happened a hundred years ago. I want to know the ghosts that haunt you."
"What, now?" He throws up his hands. "I don't know if you noticed, Vex'ahlia, but there's a bit of a crisis going on."
"Do not be cross with me, Percival, my niece is missing!" she snaps back. She crosses her arms. "How are you so sure?"
His eyes narrow. "What?"
"How are you so sure that Lord Sylas Briarwood is the one who took Vilya? It is a rather large accusation to make with little evidence and if it takes us down the wrong path we could be too late to save her."
She watches his eyes dart around, desperately searching for an escape from this conversation like an unbroken horse in a corral. "Do you think me an untrustworthy source?"
"Percy." Vex grabs his hands and holds them tightly in hers. "Please. She is my family. We are about to cross the continent and face down the terrors of your past on your word. If you can't even speak of what happened in Whitestone, how are you to be of any help to us? To her?"
There's a long silence, during which Vex wants to tear her hair from her head for the tension. Finally, Percy slips a hand from hers and brushes the side of her neck. "Most vampires bite you here." His fingers dance across the broad length of her throat. "But Lord Briarwood..." His fingers travel up, leaving a trail of gooseflesh in their wake, to rest just behind her ear, on the soft flesh. "He whispers something to you, right in your ear, before he kills you. I watched him do it to my brother Oliver." His hand slips away, and he turns and begins walking back to the castle, leaving Vex speechless on the lawn.
.
"Have you lost your mind?"
"Absolutely not!"
"Your Highness, you can't."
Vax, Korrin, and Derrig all talk at once, aghast at Keyleth's declaration. Vax watches her eyes flash at their protest, and for a moment, he is relieved to see something other than empty desolation there. "Why not? She is my daughter, same as yours. Am I to sit here and stew while the people I care about go out and risk their lives for her? I will not stare out the window and wonder if I have lost my entire family for good, not when I can help them."
"Kiki..." Vax runs a tired hand through his hair. "I cannot go retrieve our daughter if I am also trying to keep you safe."
Keyleth takes a step back from him. "I do not need you to keep me safe! I have magics of my own, remember. I will not wait here while I could be of use to our child!"
"I am not trying to dismiss your capabilities, but please, be reasonable—"
"Keyleth." She turns to glare at her father, who, though a ruler of a nation, withers slightly under her ire. "I cannot allow both of my heirs to be in such a precarious situation. The Ashari Nation needs you alive as much as I do, both as a father and a sovereign."
Keyleth's face twists through a thousand different emotions. "Do you truly believe I am concerned about heirs right now?" Her hands are clenched at her sides, and Vax notices small wisps of smoke emanating from between her fingers. "She is my child, Father! Not even a year old! I would burn this nation to its bedrock for her!" Tiny flames lick up the sides of her fists.
Vax grabs her wrist and carefully tugs her in the direction of the bedroom, muttering something resembling an apology until the door is closed and they are alone. He unpeels her fingers, hissing at the faint burns he incurs, and murmurs, "Kiki, please."
Her breath is coming fast and hot, and gods, he feels it too, the rage, the anguish. He himself feels like a bowstring, incredibly taut and one flinch away from snapping in twain. He pulls her in, tucks her head under his chin. His hand moves automatically up and down her back as she breaks down in his arms.
"I have to go to her," she sobs into his chest, barely audible. "I cannot be left behind while she is out there."
"I know," he breathes, "I know." And he does know, does understand the boiling of her blood, the primal urge to tear through the land until she is reunited with her baby. He knows he is prepared to commit the most heinous acts if that is what is required to find Vilya, and he will not regret a single one if they lead to him delivering their little girl back into her mother's arms.
But he cannot do this. He cannot allow his wife, the person for whose life he bargained with the gods themselves, to leave the relative safety of these stone walls and venture into a world of peril and violence. He buries his face into her hair. "I am so sorry to ask this of you, but...please don't fight us on this. We will go, we will get her, and we will bring her home to you." He pulls back to look her in the eyes once more. "Believe me when I say this: there is nothing in this life or the next that could stop me from getting to her."
Keyleth stares at him with desperation, and he wishes he knew the thing to say to make her confident in his promise. He watches something shift in her eyes, something he's never seen before, and then she nods once. "I believe you." Then, without another word, she turns and leaves, walking out of their bedroom, past her father and Derrig, and out the front door of the cottage.
From the bedroom, Vax sees a bewildered Derrig start to follow her out. "Leave her." He walks back into the common area. "She...give her some time."
Derrig nods, and then the three men begin planning. As Vax throws some clothes and supplies into a haversack, they discuss what security changes need to be made to the castle while the Captain of the Royal Guard and the rest of the assembled party are away. They agree that Keyleth should be moved back into the castle, both for her safety and to ensure that she is not alone. Korrin briefly considers sending letters to request aid from their Ashari and foreign allies, but then decides against it, not wishing to paint an even bigger target on the infant princess's back. Instead he promises to leverage some remaining wartime connections to various spies and covert operatives to glean whatever information he can about these mysterious Briarwoods. After approximately half an hour, Vax is ready to go, and he makes his way first to the castle gardens, where he presumes his wife to be, as that has long been a place of comfort for her. Not finding her there, he tries the grand library of the castle, where she often fled for privacy when the eyes at court became too much to bear. She is also not there, so he begrudgingly walks to the stables, figuring he can at least get the horses prepared before trying to track Keyleth down again.
He requests the appropriate horses from the head groom, one for each of the party's members, and then walks over to Simon, who nickers at the sight of him. As he slides a hand up and down his muzzle, he notices the stall next to Simon's is empty.
"Oi," he calls over his shoulder toward the groom. "Where is Minxie?"
The groom looks at him, confused. "They left about twenty minutes ago, sir."
Vax's stomach sinks like a stone. "What do you mean?"
"The princess. She came, requested her horse be readied for travel, disappeared for a bit, and then returned, dressed for riding. She left shortly thereafter."
Stunned, Vax stumbles back against the door to Simon's stall. He knows exactly what his wife has done and where she is going, and what dangers await her on the way. Panic and fury twist in his gut like hot pokers.
He's going to kill her, if someone else doesn't do it first.

Hi hello! I would love to hear about your Black Clover soup theory, so please don't worry about highjacking the post ❤️
Hiya~! ^^
So, there's no actual theory, but the thing is that people have debated about what, exactly, is mana, and ki, in BC. And I think that the concept of a soul will probably end up being the third thing, the exact definition/description of which is going to be a topic of debate, so I'm just going to ramble a bit.
So, firstly, while reading any piece of work, let it be a traditional book, a manga, or even while watching a series, a very clever way for a writer to introduce concepts, without being able to define them word to word, is to have the characters talk about these topics. Because the characters can lie, they can have misunderstandings, or their perception of something can just differ from the perception of another person. Meaning that if in BC the information concerning the concept of a soul, for example, comes from Lucius, there is a high chance of it being a very narrow, biased, or misleading way of depicting it. Because of course Lucius wants the thing he's saying, to sound the absolute most favourable for him. He wants his opponents to despair. He wants them to go "how on earth are we going to fight that power?" Some things of what he's saying need to be true of course, because otherwise his statement wouldn't be credible, but it doesn't mean that what he's saying would be 'the whole truth and nothing but the truth'.
Now, in the very beginning of the anime, at least, we are told by the narrator that "in this world magic is everything", which has been interpreted by a portion of the fandom as mana = life, but I don't think that mana (or magic) is exactly life. They're closely related, but you can be alive without having a lot of mana. Because... by all logic, wouldn't the peasants (or those with very low mana) then be sickly and prone to dying all throughout their lives? What I think is meant by this statement that mana in BC is kinda like money. Money can get you opportunities, it means (usually) a higher place in society, and it can by your services/medicine/care that can prolong your life. Essentially, money, and mana, are tools. Though mana has a closer connection to life than money, because they're both non-tangible concepts, and we know that a person's grimoire disintegrates when they die, meaning that once a person dies, mana leaves their bodies etc. (Which is why, I think, why Nacht can't move into the shadow of a dead person.)
Ki is something that is... an expression of life? I suppose. I have no clear picture of what ki actually is, but it's, as far as I've understood it, kinda the life force of a person being reflected out. Even plants can have ki. So, it's ... their presence, in a sense, but it is connected to the idea of life. But. As said it's separate from mana. Meaning that mana and life, are connected. Ki and life are connected. But ki and mana are not.
However, I do think that the concept of a soul is also tied with life and mana. Again, you don't need to have life and mana in order to have a soul, but I do think that all these 3 concepts (assuming you have all 3) are connected. Because a person's magical affinity usually matches in a way their personality. There is something in their personality which is expressed by their magic attribute. Again, it's not their whole personality, but there is an aspect of them that is well depicted by their attribute. (What part of their personality it depicts is an entirely different discussion, and for the side characters I don't think Tabs gave necessarily that much thought. Not with all, at least.)
So, where am I going with this?
What is a soul? It's connected with life. It's connected with mana. But can you shape your own soul? As you pointed out, Charlotte has managed to shape it in a way that allowed her to utilize both her cursed blue roses, and her original red ones. This would imply that souls are flexible too. Which, if you think about it, does make sense. People (or humanoids as BC has elves and dwarves and so on too) change during the course of their lives. They can change into different versions of themselves as they age, and since BC is greatly about self-improvement and growth, I think this fits nicely in there. Nothing is set in stone.
"You make your own fate" as said by Yami.
What does this make of Lucius' magic though? He can alter souls. But what if people can change their own souls as a response? It would make him rather powerless at the end of the day, would it not? "Oh you changed it, I'll just change it right back." Perhaps you'd need a catalyst, like a strong emotional connection in Sister Lily's case, but it can be done. Because ultimately your soul is your own. It's fluid, it's flexible. Someone can change it but ultimately it's you who are the master of it. It's either about succumbing to your fate, or making your own fate. Essentially.
Of course I'm not saying that making a change, or "changing your soul" would be easy. Because growth is usually a long road, filled with stones and thistles, so Lucius would have an advantage on speed in that sense. But also the people are not powerless against him.
I don't really know. This is just my two cents about mana, life, soul and ki.
Thanks for dropping by though~ ^^
