Yet, another thought about the reveal.

I think Trevor did know or did suspect but didn't ask because he wanted her to say it in her own time.

Remember in TP, when Sam said she was curious but she didn't know the etiquette around ghosts' deaths. Trevor doesn't really look like he wants to talk about it. And in fact, he never talks about his death.

I've made this point before, but Trevor is the only younger ghosts that never brings up his death in any capacity. The ONLY time he ever talks about it is in TP or when someone brings up his body in the lake and usually he brushes it off.

That is a level of avoidance most of the other ghosts don't have, except Hetty and Sass. They're the only two that have avoided mentioning their deaths.

So, it would make sense for him to see the evidence but not ask and then to lie to the others about it becuase he understands that each ghost deals with their death differently and Hetty, like him and like Sass, might not want to talk about it.

The way this also totally adds new context to Hetty’s lines at the end of Possession: “don’t live your life with regrets, Samantha. Go after your dreams. Because you are only here for a short time.” 😭😭😭

Fuck, was not prepared to find out how Hetty died, much less THAT.

As someone who has battled with suicidal thoughts since I was fourteen, strangulation was always my go to method but I could never find a 'secure' way to do it or if would stop at last second. So finding out my favorite character in the show felt the need to go out that way and has kept it hidden all this time...

And a fucking telephone wire of all things. I don't know how strong those were in the 19th century but she must have been desperate to arrange it in such a way to work and...I can't imagine it would have been like Hollywood often shows people unaliving themselves via hanging where they jump and usually their neck just breaks, like this would have been actual strangling and....gah. With the exception of Mary being burned to death, I think Hetty might win the tragic prize for most gruesome death in both shows. :(

Glad she only revealed something so intimate as a way to save Flower. Now I'm gonna be thinking about Feral Patience forever.
