what is it with isaac and sneezing like how does it lead to both shooting your future fiancé and leaving a puritan ghost lady who's now out for your head roaming the dirt for 130 years

Honestly I think that after just one watch, Halloween 3: The Guest Who Wouldn't Leave, might just be straight into my top 10 US Ghosts episodes. The sheer insanity of it all, Pete now being stuck with Carol, poor man just can't catch a break, then him 'meowing' the Jaws theme, both failed seances, Thor just wanting to tell Flower he loves her - and to ravish her, Sam and Jay just trying to have a normal party and it not working, the reveal that Flower didn't get sucked off, but is trapped in a well (can't wait to see how they get her out, may I humbly suggest a ghost chain formed of all the ghosts, just for the image that presents).
But one of my favourite moments in the episode involved these three (pictures beneath the cut)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole scene of them in the kitchen while Sasha and Nico freaked out and believed that Sam and Jay were going to kill them and their reactions had been laughing so much, their deliberating over whether to tell Sam, the utter nonchalance with which they saw Carol's corpse, Isaac's facial expressions while Hetty and Sass were doing their deliberating. It took me right back to the very first Halloween episode when they (with added Thor) attempted to blame Thor burning down the gazebo on the local kids. You just know they would cause so much chaos if they could get away with it and we should have more scenes with just the three of them.

Additional thoughts on the episode.
This is the first time the ghost who's family suddenly shows up at B&B doesn't ask Sam to ask a bunch of questions and look like a complete idiot.
I've been thinking about this, and I think this goes back to admittedly a HC about Trevor's fear of finding out anything terrible about his family/friends.
Like after Carol visited the first time (on Trevor's suggestion and Pete guilting Sam into it), Pete says it was the worst day of his afterlife. So I wonder if that held Trevor back and that's only been reinforced with
Ari's visit - learns his friends were worse than disloyal.
His parents visit - that his parents were basically divorced his whole life and hiding it from him.
So, when it comes to Jeremy despite having questions, he doesn't ask Sam to ask those questions. He just follows him around like a puppy dog hoping that he'll learn about the good things naturally.
And think that really goes into his avoidance issues but again ties in with... he's genuinely afraid to hear about anything bad or sad.
Thoughts?

Obviously, I love this new power for Pete. He deserves it more than anyone. And of course, the explanation that he just didn't try makes total sense for him. But I've got two problems with this new development from the storytelling point of view.
Firstly, this retcon means Sam humiliated herself for nothing in "Ghost Father of the Bride". This was a heartwarming moment, and I always cry at that episode, but now that I know it's all for nothing, all the hijinks with the book, all awkward conversations Sam had with Pete's family, it all will be just cringe for nothing, knowing that Pete could easily just go to the wedding anywhere.
Secondly, we've already had half a season without Flower. And now we're going to have half a season without Pete? And writers will be able to just write him off at any given moment from this point? Wait, we have a season to shoot, where's the actor?.. Oh, he has another job? Nevermind, Pete's just at Barbados. Even if we are not talking about this beloved character just not being there, which is a problem on its own... This is going to throw off the whole cast dynamic. Do you remember that time when Nancy made Pete have a backbone for a day? Everything went nuts. Pete is a very important character, the only not selfish one! And this is not just about being a pushover. This show is an ensemble one. When you can take out one part of the ensemble at any moment, it falls apart.
Just as it's very awkward what they did with Carol in this Pete-centric episode: ah, you know, she's int he basement, don't worry about her... It's going to be as weird to say Pete is travelling and that's why he is not in this episode where it woulld make total sense for him to be and to react to plotlines.

How u doing after last night's nisaac marriage fiasco
ough,,,, OAAAUGHHH OAUGHHHH
i had wedding fanart prepared,,, i don't think i can finish it now..😣
BUT I GET WHY IT HAPPENED, it doesn't make it hurt any less.. but the whole point of the show is that we will see these ghosts at their worst!! they take 2 steps forward and 10 steps back,, we are meant to yell and scream because these characters at the end of the day are just like us i think... despite them being dead they all share the fact that they are human and because of that they are all so fucked up and while YES they are technically dead, its still their first time ''living'', being *alive*... i dont think this is the end of their relationship, and i think this separation could be a good thing, we get breathing space to see both of them develop and grow outside of their relationship.. i just hope that despite it all they will still be close, its obvious that they care about each other very much
anyways i dont know if what i said makes any sense but please feel free to weigh in on this you guys!!

I didn’t think it was possible to be so excited and so damn worried about an episode of a television show in my life. If ANYTHING happens to Isaac and Nigel, I don’t what I’ll do.
I mean, look at them:

These two have been waiting for each other for 250 years. Yes, it was a very long slow burn to get where they are now, but they got there. They need to be happy. They DESERVE to be happy. And I swear to god, if either one of them or both get ‘sucked off’, I won’t be able to function.

I've said it before and I'll say it again
But I need more of these three
Tumblr media
This episode was hit and miss for me. I loved it, but it felt like there was something missing I just can't figure out what it is. But the moments we got of these three I loved. They are a supreme chaos trio, and I need more of it.

I just realized -> Trevor literally says something along the lines of "it's not a great idea to break off your engagement to someone for someone else who's not even on the same plane of existence".
Like this guy that wanted to date Bela and Sam to people not on the same plane of existence as him.
This is major growth for him! I'm happy even if I kind of want to write a story where he manages to work it out with Bela or Sam.

me before last night's episode: Trevor was a low-level, relatively small cog in the large and complex machine that brought us the 2008 recession
me after last night's episode: Trevor caused the entire 2008 global financial crisis
